When planning your wedding there are so many variables and seemingly no guarantees that the day will go as perfectly as you planned in your head. But, no matter what happens, if you hire Ashley, the photos of your day will be incredible – and that’s a guarantee. Ashley is the most talented and personable human. If you hire her, she will take the most stunningly photos you have ever seen while simultaneously wrangling your wedding party, holding your champagne, making you laugh and feel like the most beautiful person in the room. We just received our full collection of wedding images from Ashley and each one is better than the next. The way she captures moments and emotions is so special and her editing is spectacular; you wedding photos will look like they belong in a magazine. -

Ashley is absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend her enough. Choosing the right photographer was something I really cared about when it came to wedding planning. From our initial call with her, I felt so confident in having her as our wedding photographer. My husband and I had our engagement shoot at the Biltmore a few months before our wedding. We were both a little nervous and uncomfortable with posing as it was our first ever professional shoot. Ashley made us feel so at ease and gave incredible tips along the way. The small little details are really what stood out – she would move my finger in the smallest way, adjust my hair just slightly, or have us move our heads a half inch. Even after we wrapped our session and were heading back to the car, she found multiple more spots for photos. Truly going above and beyond. At our wedding this past weekend, she brought us around every corner of our venue getting shot after shot until the very last moment we had. I am confident she took thousands of photos that day. We couldn’t be happier with the range of photos just in our sneak peek from our day. We can't stop looking at them.
Beyond being incredibly talented, she’s also truly lovely and a joy to be around during such a monumental day. She goes above and beyond what is expected of any wedding photographer – she even did my bustle! We cannot recommend Ashley enough. We are looking for an excuse to travel to back to Asheville and hire her to shoot us again sometime. -

To start, Ashley is a gem and just a wonderful human to be around. She is personable and fun. We had never had professional photos until our engagement shoot, and she made us feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. She just shot our wedding last weekend and we already received almost 50 sneak peeks! We’re obsessed! I’ve attached a few below. We are already in love and can’t wait for the rest! We would hire Ashley for any future professional photography. -

My daughter hired Ashley to be her photographer for her wedding at the Vineyards at Betty's Creek. I can't begin to tell you how happy we were with the entire process. Ashley is THE BEST. She is amazingly talented. From the moment we spoke to her we knew we made the right choice. She made my daughter and son in law feel so comfortable at the engagement shoot and the pictures were gorgeous. We couldn't wait to see what was in store for the wedding and she didn't dissaooint. She came with another photographer as well. The wedding photos were absolutely gorgeous and she captured every moment beautifully. She is as sweet as she professional. I can't say enough good things. We loooooved Ashley and her work. We did our engagement and wedding day photos with her/her team. Ashley was so unbelievably helpful when planning our day of timeline and setting realistic expectations so we did not feel rushed. Our photos turned out better than we could have even imagined for both our engagement session and wedding day. Not only is Ashley’s work beautiful but she also has such an awesome personality and truly makes you feel comfortable like working with a friend. Ashley was actually booked for our wedding day so we got the option to work with her team instead. We were happy to work with her team since Ashley still edits everything herself. If you are looking for an amazing engagement and wedding photographer, I highly recommend Ashley Ricci! She is very personable and made the whole process fun and more manageable. My now husband and I never considered ourselves to be photogenic and never had professional pictures taken. Ashley put us at ease and helped with poses and even secondary engagement photo locations when our first got rained out. Our pictures turned out better than we ever could have imagined! Ashley and Tristan are the best! We had the most wonderful wedding weekend and loved having them as part of the big day. First, we couldn't do engagement shots with Ashley (timing issues) so she generously took photos at our rehearsal dinner instead. Then on the day of the wedding, Ashley was so kind, helpful, and easy to work with. She literally helped me get into my wedding dress and went above and beyond to help out! She was super efficient with getting through the family photos so we could get to enjoy our wedding day with friends and family. Then Ashley and Tristan were taking photos on the dance floor always there for the best moments! We truly had such a wonderful experience! Thank you! -

We had a last minute winter elopement at Moores Cove Falls and Ashley jumped on it and was so flexible and ‘go with the flow’ which was organic and comfortable .Since we eloped and a lot of our family did not come ( we had a selected few including our children) we wanted to have quality photos to share with our family/friends and man did Ashley capture the timeline and story so beautifully. Eloping is an experience of its own and is one I highly recommend as my wedding felt so intimate, memorable and romantic. It all goes so fast, so we made the photography the highlight of our wedding ( besides the ceremony of course) and had so much fun taking pictures as we hiked back to our cars. Thank you! -

If you’re looking for a killer photographer and editor who can truly capture your big day then Ashley is your gal!!
We hired Ashley Ricci Photography for our wedding this past weekend in Asheville, NC - Ashley and her second shooter Tristin were there to capture our getting ready photos, photos during the event and family/friends photos. I (the bride) have been pumped to have Ashley capture our big day since I hand-selected her from more than 20 other photographers I found in the area. Ashley’s ability to capture natural looking photos of her couples and truly AMAZING editing skills caught my eye instantly. I wanted to make sure that the photographer we booked could capture beautiful daylight photos AND candlelit ones without a TON of flash as my vision included hundreds of candles (and I knew that was tricky from a lighting standpoint). Ashley just provided our sneak peeks for the photos and my hubby and I were FLOORED after just seeing a few. They are BEAUTIFUL and I am like a kid on christmas waiting for the others. Ashley so naturally directed my hubby and I and told us where to put our hands! (LOL) and really knew exactly what shots to get, how to direct our family & friends and made the entire process a flawless experience. Ashley was absolutely a dream to work with from day one. When I came across her early on in wedding planning I knew her style would be a great fit for us. From the first time we spoke leading up to our wedding, Ashley was always there to answer questions or give advice. She really makes you feel so comfortable the entire wedding planning process which truly makes your life so much easier!
The day of our wedding, Ashley was on time and ready to go. Ashley and Nick (her second shooter for the day) were such a blast to work with. Everyone had such a good time with them and could not stop talking about them after the wedding. It really made us realize just how good of a decision we made! Ashley was such a trooper when it came to getting picture the day of our wedding as we were dealing with 22mph winds. While this did take away some opportunities for us to do things outside, Ashley was quick to adapt and come up with a plan B. While we couldn't take all of our pictures outside, Ashley some how made the ones we got look like we weren't dealing with crazy winds. She is truly a miracle worker! I'm still trying to convince my husband to dress up with me again to take some pictures without the wind :)
Having Ashley as our photographer was definitely one of the best decisions we ever made for our wedding! We are sad our day is over, but I know we will find another reason to work with Ashley again in the future! -

We couldn't have been happier with Ashley as our wedding photographer! From day one, she was on top of things. She has a lot of experience with weddings, not just the photography aspect, and I think that helped so much in making our wedding day go as perfectly as possible. As a bride with zero knowledge regarding weddings, planning, timelines, etc, Ashley was there to help me throughout the entire process with suggestions and advice. She was responsive and checked in multiple times, especially as the wedding day got closer. She is also very sweet and fun to work with! I warned her that my husband and I would be awkward with poses, but our photos turned out AMAZING and we actually look very natural. We have had a TON of compliments on our wedding photos. Ashley is the BEST!
We met Ashley through our mutual friends; she shot their wedding last February and we fell in LOVE with her work. Ashley does an amazing job at interacting with the guests and capturing all the fun and sweet moments. When we first reached out to her, she was so accommodating and answered any question we had! During one of our first phone calls, she laid out almost my entire wedding day timeline; this was a HUGE help for me because I had no idea where to begin. She also did our engagement shoot, which ending up being so magical and such a special time. Ashley really made us feel comfortable and it was like we've known her for years, not to mention she is EXTREMELY talented and creates such beautiful images to last a lifetime. On our wedding day, Ashley was amazing! She helped in so many aspects outside of capturing all of the sweet moments and our families loved her and the her additional shooters!! WOW. It is not possible to complement Ashley, her talent as a photographer, or her business enough!! My husband and I found Ashley on Instagram while searching for a wedding photographer and immediately fell in love with her style and shots. As soon as we connected with her and got to chatting, we knew we needed her to be our photographer. Ashley kept great communication with us leading up to the big day and I loved being able to keep up with her personal and professional adventures via Instagram.
When the wedding day finally arrived, Ashley and her amazing second shooter, Destinee, showed up ready to go! They both made us all feel so comfortable in front of the camera and everyone had so much fun with them around! Photos were so stress-free because of them.
Mid-ceremony, snow started falling pretty heavy outside but Ashley and Destinee did not miss a beat. They braved the snowstorm and bent over backwards to get us the most amazing shots! My husband and I are so in love with our sneak peek photos and are patiently waiting for Ashley to work her magic on the rest. We could not possibly recommend Ashley enough! -

We booked Ashley back in February with the intention of having an outdoor mountain wedding as we loved her nature shots and beautiful use of lighting. Due to the pandemic our plans changed, and we ended up having an intimate backyard wedding instead. Ashley was quick to adjust to the new setting and provided us with beautiful, intimate, and quality photos. Doing a DIY wedding, things were a little hectic, but we never once had to worry about working with her and she even helped us on planning our day timeline to make things go smoother. We hope to hire her again for an anniversary shoot next year. -

Awesome photographer who is up for an adventure!
Ashley was a fantastic vendor to work with from start to finish with our entire wedding process! We chose to have engagement pictures done before our wedding day, which was a great way for her to get to know us and us to get to know her ☺️. We also got to snap these pics at the Biltmore, offered by Ashley, which was perfect the perfect spot! After this came COVID, which of course altered our original wedding plans, but Ashley was totally flexible and made our backup plans work perfectly! My favorite thing about Ashley is that she was easygoing, but also got the job done when needed! She was willing to help with any part of the big day to make it just right. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer that’s fun, helps things flow smoothly, and of course takes amazing pictures, this is your girl! -

I'm not even sure where to start. Ashley photographed our small backyard wedding in the mountains on 10/16/2020. Due to the pandemic, our plans changed approximately 10 times and she was so patient, kind, and willing to work with us every step of the way. We took photos in the mountains and during the small ceremony. All of them are wonderful! It will be hard to pick which to print.
She was warm and made us feel comfortable immediately. She gave great direction and helpful tips to get the best shots.
We will be working with her again in 2021 for our larger reception with extended family and friends and we are already excited! -

We initially had a wonderful experience with Ashley during our engagement session, which is why I originally left her a five-star review. Unfortunately, things completely changed after our wedding on June 14. (Do not give your vendor reviews before they provide deliverables, a lesson learned).
Per our contract, we were supposed to receive our photos within 8 weeks. After 10 weeks had passed, and after I reached out twice with no response or explanation, I sent a third email noting that this was now a breach of contract. Instead of an apology or clarification, our gallery suddenly arrived the next morning without any communication from her.
The photos themselves were devastatingly disappointing. I actually cried looking through them because they were nothing like our sneak peeks or engagement session. The editing was inconsistent; some were extremely oversaturated, while others looked completely unedited. On top of that, we paid extra for 35mm film photos, which she admitted she forgot to take. She refunded us the cost, but of course that doesn’t make up for missing out on something we trusted her to capture on our wedding day.
When we raised our concerns about the editing and the rushed feel of the photos, she admitted some of the edits were inconsistent and promised to re-edit. That was weeks ago. I provided specific examples as she requested, but since then I have followed up multiple times with zero response. Once again, total silence. We are STILL waiting to hear from her.
She did mention that she had personal things going on, and I completely understand that life happens. Had she simply communicated with us, asked for more time, or been transparent, it wouldn’t have been an issue. The real problem was the repeated lack of professionalism, constant unresponsiveness, breach of contract, and the fact that we invested a lot financially only to be left disappointed with the most important photos of our lives.
I strongly caution anyone considering booking with her. While our engagement photos were a highlight, the wedding experience was the exact opposite. Lack of communication, broken promises, and subpar results made what should’ve been a joyful memory extremely stressful and disappointing.
