Artquest did our catering, linens and bar service. From the beginning of working with Kathy and Victor, we experienced the warmth of their support and care and genuine desire for our wedding to go well! It brought us a lot of peace knowing that
we could trust them to follow through and know that all of the details
would be perfect. Our guests were raving about how delicious the
appetizers and buffet was, and we could not have agreed more.
Furthermore, we received many compliments on the wonderful staff of
servers and bartenders that were friendly, warm, respectful and attentive to our needs as bride and groom, and that of the guests. The
linens were beautiful! We are so pleased with artquest and so glad we chose them to make our wedding a wonderful experience! -

Our guests raved about the food at our backyard wedding. We chose the lobster empanadas, coconut shrimp, and bacon wrapped scallops as our appetizers, and they were gone just as soon as the trays came out! We also had multiple complements on the champagne chicken, and my personal favorite was their mixed vegetables. The food was quality, simply delicious, and perfect for our wedding.
We’ve always heard about brides and grooms who don’t have a chance to enjoy the food at their own wedding, but Kathy brought a whole tray of appetizers for just the two of us during cocktail hour. She created a special moment for us to enjoy the food together amidst all the blissful wedding chaos, and we will always remember that.
Kathy and her husband were professional and easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process. During cocktail hour their staff worked with our wedding planner’s team to flip the ceremony into the reception. They worked quickly and efficiently to set up all the tables, chairs, and reception décor, and it was beautiful. Throughout our event, ArtQuest’s bar, serving, and kitchen staff were professional, reliable, and friendly.
Additionally, ArtQuest offers a very reasonably priced 2-tiered cake which they allowed us to pick up from their kitchen the day before our event to decorate.

There is so much to say about ArtQuest Catering! Kathy & Victor are seriously the best! I hired them as the caterers for our wedding and their team did not disappoint. We received many compliments from our guests talking about how delicious the food was and how amazing the staff was. Record timing for buffet-style wedding for 180+ guests!
We were introduced to Kathy and Victor through our wedding planner and coordinator Karen of Aficial Events. From our first meeting during our tasting all the way through to our wedding day, Kathy and Victor were so much fun to work with! It felt like we were talking to family whenever we met.
We had almost 200 guests at our wedding and opted for a buffet-style dinner, and they DELIVERED, in record time! They were very familiar with our venue (Building 177 in Liberty Station) and knew how to get the food out so efficiently.
The food was AMAZING! We had guests tell us they went back for seconds because it was so good. They were quick with suggestions and alternatives for our guests with dietary restrictions and allergies, and just made the whole process so easy for us.
ArtQuest also provided the linens for our tables! They worked with our planner and coordinator to fit our vision, and it looked so good 🔥their food quality and price point are so good, we were so happy with them and can't recommend them enough! -

Amazing Food and Customer Service!
We truly had a wonderful experience working with Kathy, Victor, and the ArtQuest team for our wedding and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again! We were immediately impressed with their impeccable customer service and were just as impressed with their food during our tasting. Their pricing is very reasonable (especially in comparison to other San Diego catering companies) and they helped us coordinate/provide guidance on many other details, including linens. They were prompt to answer all our questions, were very flexible when we decided to postpone in 2020, and are wedding experts. We always felt we were good hands with ArtQuest, and everything went smoothly the day-of. Thank you again, ArtQuest! -

We are so glad we chose ArtQuest as caterers for our wedding! From the very first tasting, Victor and Kathy felt like family and made us feel so welcome and at ease. They have a wide variety of options to choose from and are open to making your wedding meal exactly what you want. The food and the service at our reception was absolutely delightful. Our guests are still raving about the coconut shrimp appetizer! We also chose ArtQuest to make desserts for the reception: a churro bar that our guests LOVED.
We were also very pleased with the reasonably priced rental options for tables, chairs, and linens that ArtQuest had to choose from. They are experts in their profession, and we appreciated their guidance as we planned our big day. Victor and Kathy, you were a pleasure to work with and we can’t thank you enough for making our special day even more memorable by providing the amazing food and service at our wedding reception! Would highly recommend!!

ArtQuest was absolutely instrumental in making our wedding day magical! From the very first time that we set foot in their showroom, we knew that we had found the right people to work with for our catering and rentals. Victor and Kathy made us feel like family and truly made the entire process a breeze. They are very reasonably priced and had a variety of options for us to choose from to get the right aesthetic and menu that we were looking for. The food was DELICIOUS - our guests are still telling us about how much they loved it weeks later. My daughter and her fiancé were married in San Diego on June 11, 2021. After 3 tastings with 3 different caterers and being totally over it, we stumbled upon ArtQuest and decided to give it one last shot. Boy are we glad we did! By far the most reasonably priced, accommodating, and high-quality catering company in San Diego. Kathy and Victor are easy to be around, involved, responsive, and genuinely have your best interest at heart. We had a few special requests for vegan and kosher guests, and they handled it no problem. There wasn't a single hiccup on the wedding day and I wasn't worried one bit that they wouldn't deliver.
Victor and Kathy are not only extremely experienced and helpful, they stick to fair prices and don't gauge you for every little thing. Their menu has something for everyone, the food is delicious, and we enjoyed every interaction we had with them.
We would choose them all over again!

If you are looking for a Catering Company, ArtQuest should be where you end your search! We planned a 125 person Wedding and we vetted several companies before making our choice. Our number one Priority was price. ArtQuest was very competitive in the “affordable” category. As we took a deeper dive in the menu and rentals we were very impressed, they were our one-stop-shop for everything! What really made us sign on the dotted line was Victor & Kathy.
Each time we met with them or interacted with them via phone or email we felt calm and assured. They have a special magic that makes you feel like family. They went above and beyond to help us come up with our perfect menu, to include specialized ice cubes for our Old Fashioned cocktails! They made recommendations to us that helped us save money. They set aside several large plates of appetizers for our head table so we could enjoy them before dinner. I loved how they thought of all of the little things like this to make our day extra special.
We did not have a wedding planner and were worried something would go terribly wrong but with great communication and a vision, ArtQuest executed our wedding vision to perfection.
We wholeheartedly recommend ArtQuest Catering for any event you need catered! -

Kathy and Victor were amazing, I highly recommend them. Both of them are super friendly and accommodating. They were very easy to work with and helpful with the entire process. They constantly kept in contact with our wedding planner and made sure everyone was informed. They day of went super smoothly, no issues, couldn't have asked for better service!
[Food]
Both my wife and I wanted Mexican food as our food, but with the restriction of no meat and dairy since we follow plant-based diets. Kathy and Victor worked on dishes to follow these constraints and did a wonderful job. Instead of using an existing dish and removing components to make it plant-based, they worked dishes to revolve around plant-based flavors. Everyone who attended really enjoyed the dishes and complimented how good it was despite missing meat and cheese. From our experience, they are fantastic chefs!

We also rented chairs and tables from them. They had a great selection and worked with us to ensure everything looked good together. -

When we were seeking out caterers for our wedding we asked a lot of questions of potential clients, but one question was more important than the rest: can you do lechón? We wanted the whole roast pig, no compromises. Most places, shockingly, did not offer this service. Victor & Kathy, however, didn't bat an eye. Absolutely, they said. In fact, they worked with us to construct a menu for a whole Filipino feast, complete with pancit and halo-halo for desert.
Now, Victor was up front with us that it was not his first lechón, it would be their first time catering Filipino. As such, they invited us for a tasting allowing us to confirm that their rendition would hold up to the scrutiny of visiting relatives. You might not have mistaken it for nanang's pancit, but it was still delicious. After the tasting, we offered feedback and chose to switch out a few dishes. Victor and Kathy were extremely receptive to feedback. You could just tell they loved their work.
Leading up to the wedding Kathy and Victor were very communicative. They followed up to all our coordination, met with us during the walkthrough, and worked with us to finalize menu design. They made sure that there were enough dishes for vegetarians to have a full meal, and even made additional specialized entrees for our vegan guests.
On the day of the wedding everything went very smoothly. The lechon was impressive, and a huge hit with the guests. We only wish we could have eaten more of it! The day was packed so we barely had a bite. The appetizers we had were tastefully arranged and generous. I will say that the coconut shrimp was excellent, and the lechon skin was the perfect balance crispy and chewy. For dessert, ArtQuest worked with a local halo-halo shop to provide individual cups for everyone as dessert, and was considered by everyone in attendance to be on the whole much better than cake.
So if all that isn't enough to convince you that ArtQuest is the right choice to cater your wedding, I will mention that they also connected us with our wedding coordinator Ashley Mayo, who was amazing, so in addition to excellent service they keep excellent company as well.

Kristen Sent on 09/28/2013The owners and managers of ArtQuest are a super-friendly and hard-working married couple named Victor and Kathy. For whoever is the “planner” in your relationship, let this put your mind at ease – ArtQuest is, without a doubt, the most organized vendor I have seen in the bridal industry.
What you see with this company in meetings and tastings is exactly what you get for your wedding day – from what I've heard about other catering companies, this is not always the case.
Victor has taken time to develop recipes for their dishes, and even has a bread machine, in which they make homemade rolls (highly recommended). All of what we ordered was good, but we received especially high reviews from the empanadas (one of our tray-passed appetizers) and the four-cheese ravioli in homemade vodka sauce (my favorite from the evening).
The fruit and cheese display option was a great choice for us - Kathy and Victor make it look amazing. Also, we had an INCREDIBLE ice sculpture of an elephant, which was modeled after the wedding favors we handed out. I underestimated how much an ice sculpture could add to the ambiance of a party.
Not to be overlooked are the table arrangements – ArtQuest provided our linens and other items to make for a unique and welcoming dinning table for each of our guests. They also have a convenient bar package for glassware and mixers, if your venue allows you to bring your own alcohol.
Gauging an exact guest count is nearly impossible for any bride or groom, and it’s frustrating to pay for meals for empty seats. Whichever caterer you choose, provide a guest count number below your current estimate – companies will have no problem issuing you an additional bill.
ArtQuest will work within your budget to maximize what they can provide. The genuinely care about your event going well, which is evident in their follow-through. I would highly recommend them for a wedding, or any important event where you might need their services.
