Capturing memories to last a lifetime

We enjoyed working with Ashley, and the experience was incredible. From first meeting her for engagement photos to the wedding, she made us feel like we had known her for years. That feeling allowed us to relax better and let our guard down that translated into a truly incredible product. The photos were most important to us, and they did not disappoint. I could not be any happier with the finished product we have, I love the look, and I love the moments she captured. Tender moments that may have lasted only a second, we have memorized in film. If you place value in the moments we live, I could recommend Ashley anymore than I do. I can only hope we can capture other life moments together.

Stop what you're doing and book Ashley already!

Ashley and her team are simply the best! My family and I have used Ashley twice now. First time was for when my parents moved out of our childhood home, we wanted to have professional pictures to capture the moment. Our most recent time was for my NYE wedding. Both times Ashley was professional, calm, and makes you feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera! Our photographs that Ashley has taken for us were better that what we envisioned! (both times!) The images she took for us truly did blow us away and we are so happy Ashley did such an excellent job in capturing two very special moments to my family. We will definitely use Ashley again in the future, and can't recommend her enough! Thank you Ashley!

A dream to work with!

I have dreamt of having Ashley as our wedding photographer for a long time. Her reputation precedes her. Ashley is organized, smart, talented and overall just a joy to be around. I did not have to worry about anything up to or on our wedding day because I knew that her skills as a photographer would show in the photos. We just enjoyed our day. Even when our original plans to take photos at the Wrigley Building couldn’t happen, she worked on the fly and got us to a new location that was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. If you’re looking for a photographer, just book Ashley/Artistrie co. And save yourself the time.

Natural and Beautiful

Ashley is a true artist. We had the pleasure of working with Ashley through a wide variety of occasions. We started with our breathtaking engagement photos in San Diego, to our jovial Tea Ceremony, and finally our fairytale wedding in Belgium. I don’t know how she did it, but she managed to capture so many of the beautiful little details and special moments for all of our celebrations.
From the very beginning, Ashley was delightful and professional. She responded quickly and was very open to our concerns and needs. We live abroad, and she made it so easy to schedule our meetings despite our giant time differences. She was also familiar with the two very different ceremonies we were planning. Ashley was great with remaining in communication with us with all the changes and uncertainties of the pandemic. She was far more organized than me!
Our ceremony days were a breeze. She made our days so much easier with her creativity, cheerful disposition, and calm expertise.
The sneak peaks came so quickly, we were delighted with the efficiency and beauty of our pictures. Our loved ones are still overjoyed with how amazing the pictures came out. We are very much looking forward to working with Ashley again to consult us with our printed frames in our new home!

2022 brides - hire Ashley!! Ashley is a true professional and she is wonderful to work with. She is very responsive and her proactive communication and expertise was greatly appreciated. Ashley shared sample timelines with me and it made me feel like I had a photographer and coordinator all in one. In a crazy year like 2021, this went a long way! Many of my vendors were difficult to keep in contact with but Ashely was always one step ahead of me. She even helped me obtain a photography permit for a specific location I had in mind for our portraits, which I saw as really going above and beyond. Personally I am not a big fan of being in front a camera all day, for this reason Ashley was a perfect fit - she was like a fly on the wall getting all of the perfect shots.

Our wedding day was 90 degrees and sunny, and Ashley and her second shooter Emmalee were so incredibly patient with our group and kept the portraits moving quickly. They even had a frozen water bottle for me which truly brought my back to life!

Ashley did a beautiful job editing our album with bright but natural colors and she turned around our "sneak peeks" and album very quickly! I can't stop gawking at all of our photos and I will definitely cherish them for the years to come.

The best decision you will make!

If this is the only line you read of this review, then the most important thing to know is this: if you choose to work with Ashley, you will always be so thrilled that you made the best decision! It's hard not to instantly fall in love with her photos - her talent is so clear. But when I spoke to her on the phone for our first interview, I immediately felt like I was talking to one of my friends. It was right then that I knew she'd be our photographer and I didn't bother to interview anyone else. We ended up signing with her the same day we met her.
Throughout the entire planning process, working with Ashley was always so easy. When the time came to do our engagement photos, I was a bit nervous cause I have often hated professional photos of myself. Ashley made us feel so comfortable and we ended up having a blast with her! Then we got the photos and were so overwhelmed - the pictures were amazing!! For the first time in my life, I actually loved photos of myself. That was all thanks to Ashley.
On our wedding day, I couldn't wait until Ashley got there and started snapping photos! Her calm demeanor made Sam and I feel so relaxed all throughout the day. When the time came for her to leave, we were so sad and didn't want her to go. We just wanted her to stay and party with us - that's how much we love her!
When we got our photos back, we were beside ourselves. Ashley had captured the entire day more perfectly than we could have ever imagined or hoped for! Every picture transported us back to that incredible day and countless people have told us how you could really feel the emotion and love in all of them. Ashley, Sam and I will forever be grateful for you and couldn't be happier that you are part of our story. THANK YOU!!!

Destination Wedding

Hiring Artistrie to photograph our Sonoma, CA wedding was the best decision we made! I tried researching a few of the local photographers, but quickly gave up and hired Ashley knowing that we would be in good hands. We met with Ashley and Emmalee a month before the wedding to go over details, after which Ashley created a detailed wedding day itinerary for us based off of her experience and our wishes. This helped tremendously on the big day as we hit a couple of minor setbacks, but Ashley was great and kept us on track. We made up for the lost time and were still able to fit in all of our desired photos and then some! Ashley is great at posting "sneak peeks" and previews on social media, and was prompt in getting us the final product after the wedding. We are so happy with the end result. The two of them captured our wedding day perfectly, and we are lucky to have so many great photos to look at and remember our wedding by. Thank you!

I can't say enough good things about working with Ashley. I reached out to a friend who had previously worked with her for her wedding (whose pictures I loved!) and asked about the experience; Erin told me it was the best wedding decision she made. I didn't need to look anything further and working with Ashley didn't disappoint. She guided us through the day of timeline, answered every reception lighting question I had, and walked up at least 7 flights of stairs when our hotel elevator was out of service on the day of the wedding... with heavy camera equipment in tow. Her biggest impact might have been that she convinced me a first look was the way to go- we had a tight timeline between our ceremony and the sunset in late November. The pictures she captured during the first look are some of my favorite, so I cannot thank her enough for that guidance. Additionally Ashley composed an album for my parents and for us- I know we'll be looking at it for years! You will be THRILLED with your pictures and have immediate peace of mind if you decide to work with Ashley.

I had been admiring the work of Artistrie Co for years after seeing engagement and wedding photos done for my sister-in-law's friends, making this one of the easiest decisions in all of my wedding planning. We had heard wonderful things and the beautiful photos truly speak for themselves. From our first meeting with Ashley, she was extremely responsive, helpful and easy to work with for both our engagement photos and on the wedding day. Ashley was so accommodating after having our engagement photos delayed for weather multiple times (I really wanted outdoor photos). Leading up to the wedding, we had a detailed conversation on the schedule for the day and all of the must-have shots. The week of the wedding called for storms which rattled my nerves- I had been admiring her beautiful photos for years and did not want my turned to be ruined because of some rain! Ashley provided some beautiful examples of previous rainy day weddings and we set up a rain plan which calmed my anxiety- the weather was a little rainy but we ended up with a rainbow that she captured beautifully! I cannot emphasize how highly I recommend Artistrie Co to other brides. To anyone hesitant about the cost- it is absolutely worth it. The photos are the only things that truly last. I think I looked at every photo every day for the first month we received them. It's been 8 months and I still look at them regularly and am still in awe of how beautiful they are! You will absolutely not regret trusting Ashley to capture one of the happiest days of your life!

Making decisions about how to spend your wedding budget is hard. Deciding to hire an amazing photographer is easy. After all, the flowers will die, the decorations will end up at Goodwill, the programs and invitations will get thrown away, but the pictures will last for generations. And we knew we wanted our pictures to be perfect and we wanted them to capture us and our day so that those who weren't present could feel the energy and the love of that day for years to come.

After years of oogling Ashley's incredible wedding photography, choosing her for our engagement and wedding photography was a no-brainer. Her style is easy, artsy, and simply beautiful. She has such a unique way of making you feel yourselves in front of the camera and of capturing each couple's unique personality and style.

What we particularly loved about Ashley was her professionalism and clear communication from the first time we spoke on the phone to discuss our photography needs, to her helpfulness in ordering prints (even offering to walk our less technologically-inclined family members through the ordering process!) She was perfectly adaptable throughout our long wedding day, changing from a calm, sweet demeanor with us during our first look to fun and silly with our wedding party, to organized and direct with our family (much-needed) during our large family photos. She captured all of the special shots we wanted of our wedding details exactly as we had discussed. And each picture is just gorgeous! Her second shooter, Aimee, captured some breathakingly beautiful angles and candid moments on our big day as well.

In reflecting on our wedding, we hands-down know that choosing Ashley to be our photographer was the best decision we made (other than deciding to marry each other, of course!) Thanks, Ashley! We love you!!

Ashley and her team are one of a kind! They are extremely personable, responsive and flexible in their work and willingness to listen to and please their customers. The work that is put in before the actual wedding day is what makes Ashley's work so flawless- she makes multiple plans in case of bad weather and is great at making suggestions for first look, portrait shots, and type of photos you are looking for.

Ashley goes above and beyond the expectation and is extremely fun to be around (which is a positive since you spend 8+ hours with her on your wedding day). Lastly, the photos that Ashley takes are beautiful and truly a work of art. I am lucky to have so many amazing images from my wedding day to display within my home.

We absolutely loved working with Ashley for our engagement photos! We are getting married out of town and wanted someone local to capture some pictures for our engagement that we could use throughout the year (holiday cards, save the dates, website, prints etc.). Someone who produced great quality photos but also knew the city really well. She was able to fit us in very quickly and was patient with all of my questions (outfits, shooting locations etc.)! The day we ended up shooting turned about to be about 20 degrees but you would never know from the end product - Ashley kept us moving and captured some awesome moments of us that we will treasure forever! I was really happy that we also got some great variety, some shots at home, outside, city background etc. After our shoot I loved getting all of the files as well so we could include them in our Christmas card and on our site. She also worked with us to quickly mock up a framed piece of three of our favorite images - which I really appreciated. We almost immediately following had a nice piece representing that day that we could display. I would highly recommend working with Ashley!

Ashley is fantastic to work with! I took engagement and wedding photos with another photographer so I had an opportunity to compare. First photographer spent a lot of time posing us and and positioning and did not feel as natural as I wanted it to be. Ashley did not tell us one time to chin up, or suck it in, or move your fingers this way or that way. The whole 2 session was very organic and natural and felt so easy. She is very bubbly so it was not as awkward as some sessions can be. She really knows what she is doing with lighting and backgrounds too, felt confident the entire time. Ashley truly has an eye for capturing the moments and beings a lot of talent to the table. I highly recommend her for your engagement/wedding/anniversary photos!

I could not write enough kind words about Ashley. She just has a way about her and the things she does -- she is so thoughtful, creative, kind, and an absolute joy to work with. From the moment we met with Ashley - we knew we wanted to work with her. We met with several photographers in the Chicagoland area, but nobody came close. We felt immediately drawn to her romantic, candid and very personal style - we knew without a doubt that she would be able to capture exactly what we were looking for. A photographer is such an important part of the wedding - they are there for every moment, from the intimate moments of getting ready to the moment you say I do. It was important to us that our photographer be someone we felt comfortable with and someone with whom we knew would take good care of our friends and family as well. Ashley was all that and more. Many people commented on how wonderful she was and how comfortable they felt with her around - as did we. The pictures themselves were absolutely stunningly beautiful. She and her wonderful second shooter, captured every single detail. The portraits were natural and easy - capturing the emotion, joy and many laughs that made our wedding day so special. Her care and attention to quality is unmatched and her thoughtfulness was incredible. I mean it when I say that Ashley is one of the best. As a photographer and as a person. We booked Ashley to photograph our wedding in June 2016. She was one of the most easy going and organized vendors we booked. Her photos are inspired by natural moments, and she captured some truly beautiful photos that my husband and I will treasure forever.
She was very creative in setting a backdrop for our photos so that they had the style lighting we were looking for. She was attuned to our wishes, and how we wanted our photos to look. Every time I see our engagement and wedding photos, I am transported back to the day. I can remember emotions and the story behind each photo because she captured us in the moment so well!

We recently used Artistrie Co. for our holiday card photos and couldn’t have been happier with the results. From our first contact with Ashley of Artistrie Co., she was very organized and informative. She was great at listening what we wanted out of the photoshoot as well as providing suggestions to best execute our vision for the photographs. I must add, we had a somewhat tall order for Ashley to fill since we scheduled this session during the freezing Chicago winter. Everyone who saw our photos and received the cards said they couldn’t tell we were freezing. Ashely was great at making us feel comfortable in front of the camera as well as super-efficient and purposeful in order to make sure we captured the most photographs that we would be happy with, despite our limited time outside due to the cold weather. Beyond the ease of working and coordinating with Ashley, the caliber of Ashley’s work is second to none. We’ve received numerous comments from friends on how incredible our photographs turned out and how they’ve never seen pictures of that quality before. The first time I met Ashley, I was immediately drawn to how friendly and professional she was. I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding and I was so impressed with how well Ashley took the lead throughout the whole day. She was helping the bus driver get to the correct photo locations at the zoo and helping us bridesmaids know where to be and how to position ourselves for the photos. Needless to say, I fell in love with her AND her work.

After that day, I told EVERYONE I knew who was engaged that the first thing they needed to do was book Ashley. Suddenly I found myself to be a bridesmaid in another wedding with her and I found the experience to be just as great as the first time! At this point, Ashley had become a friend of mine and working with her was so much fun.

When it came time for me to plan my own wedding, she was the first phone call I made after getting engaged. I knew that my big day would not be complete without her there capturing it all! I was beyond thrilled that we had similar dates open in our calendars.

The day of our wedding was so much more enjoyable because I did not need to worry at all about how my pictures would turn out. I knew that they were in the BEST hands. A few short weeks later, when we got our preview, I fell in love with Ashley all over again. This time, seeing me and my husband captured in the most natural, soft, and pretty light we've ever been.

I have continued to give out Ashley's name and each wedding I see her at is a treat!

My fiance and I worked with Ashley on our engagement photos in Arizona. From the very beginning, Ashley offered insight on the location, wardrobe ideas and hair and makeup. She and I worked together to create the perfect location: Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona. It wasn't an easy idea or shoot by any means...from the crazy hike, wind and rain, it would have been easy to say "no thanks." Ashley, though, was a total pro, and was excited, upbeat and a calming force throughout the whole process. The photos turned out INCREDIBLE. We get compliments on them from EVERYONE. Even people we've never met! I would highly suggest working with Ashley if you're looking for beautiful and timeless images.

I’ve been following Ashley’s work for years. I ended up moving away from the Chicago area and building a life on the East coast. When we got engaged, the first decision we wanted to make was our photographer. When I voiced the idea of flying a midwest photographer to the East coast, my husband and I both decided that the first decision we were making needed have a lot of effort to be as responsible with our budget as possible. We searched and searched for local photographers, even had one shoot our engagement photos resulting in a really poor experience. Insert >> ASHLEY TO THE RESCUE. The universe was truly on our side when she was, luckily, still available for our wedding weekend, and on top of it, willing and excited to travel to us. We had a DIY style wedding on my husband’s family’s property, so we had a very large number of vendors and a lot of work was put in on our end. From the moment that we booked Ashley, she immediately became someone that we didn’t have to think or worry about. That in itself was priceless to the both of us. From planning her travels to capturing every minute of our day, Ashley and her +1, Emmalee, were both present and somehow invisible all at once. How we ended up with hundreds of photos capturing every emotion and detail we will never understand.

In short, the photographs of our wedding are our most prominent memories that are so very important for us to share between ourselves and others for the rest of our lives. It truly was the care, kindness, and love that Ashley (and Emmalee!) poured into the entire experience of a wedding that makes the difference. The time, commitment, and experience that Ashely provided calmed our nerves, injected fun and silliness, and provided BEAUTIFUL pictures we will share for the rest of our lives. If you're considering Ashley as your photographer, no reason is a good enough reason to have second thoughts. This will be the best decision you make throughout wedding planning!

I've worked with Ashley of Artistrie Co. for two branding shoots now and she is absolutely incredible. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a simple session, branding shoot, or wedding! The last time we worked together, the first location I picked out didn't pan out due to a recent photo policy change. Ashley came up with a new location on the fly which actually turned out better than our plan A. The photos turned out better than I could have imagined and we have gotten so much use out of them for our website and marketing material. I have been a fan of and following Ashley for about 10 years now, and I was FINALLY able to work with her on an engagement shoot in August. A friend of mine in college gave me Ashley’s name and told me to take a look at her photos, and being into photography and videography myself I figured I would check her out. I fell in love with her images very quickly and have followed her ever since, vowing to myself that one day I would get engaged and be able to work with her…. fast forward 9 years later and I get engaged to the perfect guy and knew exactly who the perfect photographer would be to capture our honest natural selves. Ashley ended up guiding us through the whole process (she met with us and even put together a personalized engagement session style guide for us that was spot on to exactly what we wanted) and kept us very comfortable while taking our photos. Ashley goes above and beyond my expectations and that’s what makes her worth it. We had such a wonderful experience working with Artistrie Co. When we started planning our wedding I had not heard of Artistrie Co. and we hired a different photographer. Needless to say things with the other photographer didn't go well and we ended up making a switch to Artistrie Co. We met with Artistrie Co (both Ashley and Hannah) and shared with them our previous experience with a different photographer and they were so understanding and truly provided everything we asked for. Hiring Artistrie Co. was the best decision we made with our wedding. Not only are Ashley and Hannah wonderful people but they are so responsive and talented! We worked with Hannah and her pictures and style are so beautiful. Hannah took the time to get to know us and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We absolutely loved our engagement pictures and truly had a hard time picking a favorite picture out of all of them.

The weeks leading up to the wedding Hannah helped us pick our locations and had so many great suggestions. We ended up picking stunning locations in the City and it is all thanks to Hannah. The day of the wedding Hannah and Chelsea was so great to work with. Again, Hannah made everyone feel so comfortable and all of our family and friends commented on how wonderful she is. My favorite thing about Hannah (if I had to pick one) is her ability to direct people and keep everyone on schedule but at the same time she does it in such a way that you don't even really notice. Hannah effectively was able to get a lot of shots of large groups of people and was so efficient with the time we had. Everyone commented on the wonderful pictures and they are even more beautiful than I had hoped for. If you are picking a photographer Artistrie Co. is the best decision you will make. I have been following Ashley's work for 5 years. So, needless to say, I was thrilled when it was finally my turn to work with her for our engagement session. I had the pleasure of working with Ashley not once but twice for my wedding. The first one being for our AMAZING engagement photos which I can go on forever about. The second one was for my boudoir session. Our experience with Ashley was so great with our engagement photos that I immediately knew that she would be the perfect choice when I found out she offered wedding boudoir photography. I first saw Ashley's work 4 years ago when a friend of mine showed us her engagement pictures and right away we all asked who took her pictures! The wedding pictures were even better and from that point I knew Ashley was the first person I was going to call when it was my turn to find a photographer. The beauty of Ashley's work speaks for itself, but what you can't see in the pictures is the amount of work Ashley put into making sure everything was perfect the day of our wedding and that we were able to get the pictures we wanted on that day. During one of our last phone calls I told her she was the easiest vendor to work with because she answered questions I didn't even know I should ask and she had a response to my emails before I hit the send button! ;) Ashley was always very easy to talk to and was very open to any sort of pictures we wanted. She and her second photographer, Aimee, were amazing the day of our wedding. We have big families, so getting everyone together for family pictures was quite the job and they made it seem effortless while keeping everyone happy. They take very natural pictures and they capture all the emotions of the day. It has been so fun to look back at our pictures and re-live every moment! Not only was Ashley taking our pictures but she also went above and beyond to remove all the bugs from my veil who decided that was a good spot to hang out during our outside pictures! :) We highly recommend Ashley for both engagement sessions and weddings and we were thrilled that we were lucky enough to have her capture every moment of our day for us.

We just received our engagement session photos from Ashley, and we could not be more happy with them! We knew ahead of time that we might encounter some rain during our session, and Ashley was very accommodating and flexible with timing. Although we didn't quite avoid the rain, we made the best of it and Ashley even found us a back up location to take photos for our second location with some cover. Ashley is extremely warm and friendly. She makes you feel very comfortable, and is a complete pro! Her development of the photos were beautiful -- her attention to detail and overall aesthetic are beautiful.

After reaching out to Ashley about her availability for our wedding day it quickly became clear why she has so many positive reviews. From our first phone call to the point of delivering our wedding photos, Ashley was nothing but transparent, honest, calm and accommodating. Amongst hammering out all of the little details that go into perfecting the engagement session and wedding day timelines, Ashley was so pleasant to work with. We did not make Ashley’s job easy by giving her somewhat specific photos that we wanted for both the engagement and wedding day photos along with a pretty tight timetable but she was nothing short of delightful, organized and professional in keeping our expectations realistic in developing the best plan to capture the most moments. Speaking of capturing moments, Ashley has a knack for capturing those mic drop moments; stuff you see in magazines that you think has to be staged because it almost seems too perfect. What really made Ashley and Artistrie Co stand out from other photographers was her personal touch. I am sure that most professional wedding photographers can take pictures that look great and you will cherish forever, but when you're working with someone so intimately on such an important day of your life, you're going to want it to be Artistrie Co. We were so comfortable with Ashley throughout the entire process and it shows in our pictures that capture who we are and our love together. Of all of the decisions I made while planning our wedding, hiring Ashley was by far the best one! Four years after our wedding, I am still asked for her name by my recently engaged friends, and I could not be happier to recommend her. From planning our engagement shoot to receiving our (gorgeous) images shortly after our big day, Ashley was a pleasure to work with, fun, and easy-going. She played a huge role in helping me to put together a timeline for our day that made it possible to capture all of the most special moments. Every time I look through our images, I think to myself that I can't believe she caught so many moments, because she was so unobtrustive. She has a way of being there for it all without being "in your face" or obnoxious, like so many other wedding photographers can be. Ashley photographed engagement photos, wedding photos, and did a boudoir photo session with me. She is THE best! Ashley has an eye for creative, wonderful pictures. I never once felt embarrassed or self-conscious with Ashley behind the camera during our boudoir session. She knew exactly where I should be so the light would look just right. Ashley kept things light-hearted as well and comfortable. Along with my pictures I was given a small photo album with a few shots she and I loved as a gift for my husband.

The idea of taking boudoir photos sounds intimidating and could be embarrassing. I wanted to do them but I wanted to make sure that they were done the right way and I still felt comfortable. I was able to pick the location and was not held to a small studio where most are done. Her style of photography makes every photo look romantic and that is what I wanted. Such a great investment!!

Ashley was a fabulous wedding photographer from start to finish. As soon as I saw her portfolio, I knew her soft and detailed style would perfectly match my wedding day vision. Our photos just so happened to be ready on my birthday and my husband and I had a wonderful time looking through the gallery and reliving each moment of our special day. Talk about the perfect present!

Yes, Ashley's work is flawless, but she is also an extremely genuine and relatable person. As soon as we met, I felt immediately comfortable - an essential quality to look for in a wedding photographer since you spend so much time together throughout the day.

About a month before the wedding, my husband and I sat down with Ashley to go over all the day-of details and logistics, as well as a list of the specific shots we wanted her to capture. Let's just say we had a lot of requests - especially in terms of family photos! Well, Ashley, and her wonderful assistant Aimee, handled everything with ease. In fact, we were even ahead of schedule on the wedding day, so we had more time to sit back and relax before the ceremony.

Ashley did a wonderful job capturing our special day. I get all teary eyed every time I look at our pictures!! Of all the tough decisions we've had to make throughout the wedding planning process, this was the easiest. We knew we wanted Ashley to capture our memories and were SO bummed she was booked for our wedding. Word of advice: Book her quickly because she's a busy lady! We were able to book her for our engagement session and have 0 regrets.

We had several requests that went outside her usually process (such as 4 different locations for the pictures!) and she totally went above and beyond to make it happen for us. She knows the city well and knows exactly how to plan your session so you take advantage of low street traffic, perfect lighting, and outfit compatibility. She made us feel totally comfortable, even while we felt silly kissing each other in public in front of a camera. Ashley made dancing in the middle of LaSalle Street super comfortable - that tells you how calm and go-with-the-flow she really is.

Our engagement pictures turned out AMAZING. Ashley was able to send us over 190 perfectly edited pictures within 2 weeks! We've already received so many compliments from friends and family.

If you're looking for a photographer with a creative eye, who will perfectly plan a session that is personal to you both, and quickly turnaround gorgeous photos - Ashley is your gal!

I do not have the words to say how delightful it was to work with Ashley for our wedding. Allie had worked with Ashley for a photoshoot for everygirl.com and spoke how highly she made Allie feel at ease when she was being photographed and the images from the day were amazing.

So when it came to our wedding photographer there could be only one option. Ashley worked with us in advance using her extensive knowledge of the Chicago Lakeshore to let us know the best places to capture those perfect images for our wedding day.

The photos have an almost magical look about them and the quality of all the images is breathtaking. I know I speak for myself and Allie when I say we could not have asked for a more perfect photographer for the day and the ease and calmness ( As others have also commented ) make working with her an absolute pleasure.

When starting to look for photographers, Ashley was always on the top of my list. I knew a friend that had used Ashley for her wedding a few years ago and had been following Ashley's work since. When we got engaged, I contacted Ashley right away to make sure we could book her for our wedding and engagement photos. It was the best decision we made! Ashley had great suggestions for us on where to go for our bridal party portraits in between the ceremony and reception and when the first location ended up being booked already, she didn't hesitate to come up with additional suggestions and get us the permits we needed! Our pictures turned out beautifully and Ashley and her assistant, Aimee, were wonderful to work with. They were flexible with our schedules and even arranged to have Aimee travel with the bridal party in between locations so we could get some additional photos on the limo bus. Every bride has her "thing." The dress, the venue, the date, whatever. For me, my "thing" was the photos. I absolutely love photos, and as the only thing you keep from your wedding day, I knew it was a big deal to select the perfect photographer. When we started planning our wedding, I started looking at what felt like every photographer in the greater Chicago area. I easily browsed the sites of 100 photographers. I probably met a dozen in person. And then I found Artistrie Co. and the fantastic brains and creative eye behind the operation, Ashley.

Ashley was amazing to work with! She listened to what I wanted from my engagement and wedding day photos. She worked with me to determine the perfect locations. She recommended outfits to go with my look and feel. She sent me a detailed description of the story the photos would tell. And her portfolio spoke for itself. I had to have her!

When it came time to shoot, she was an absolute blast to be around, which is important because I had a groom who wasn't always the biggest fan of posing. :) She made us feel at ease. It almost didn't feel like we were taking photos, just having fun together and with our wedding party. You can see "us" in our photos, instead of just a generic couple posing for a picture. She has such a keen eye and captured personality, emotion and the entire experience.

The photos themselves are beautiful. I know I will cherish them forever! These photos will help me to remember the perfect wedding day. I have to recommend Artistrie to any bride who holds photography in high regard. Take it from me. I did my due-diligence. You can save yourself a lot of time and stress by hiring Ashley. You'll be in the best hands imaginable.

We had such a great experience with Artistrie Co. during our engagement photos that we hired Ashley and her team to do our rehearsal dinner AND our wedding day -- and we could not have been more thrilled that they played such an integral part of our wedding weekend.

Leading up to the wedding, the weather was starting to look dicey so Ashley created customized Plans A, B, and C in the event of rain, wind, snow...you name it. Not only did this calm our nerves ahead of time knowing we had great photo backup plans, but it also enabled each of our wedding vendors to be flexible and accommodate a changing schedule - this was crucial!

Ashley and her team worked incredibly well with our coordinator, videographer, hair and makeup, and caterer in the months leading up to the wedding, and on the day of. The amount of thought and planning that went into the weekend ahead of time certainly paid off -- Ashley captured each moment we discussed, we made it through extensive family and large bridal party photo requests, she caught some incredible candids we didn't know were happening at the time, and we didn't get behind schedule! We were also really impressed with Ashley's ability to coordinate and communicate effectively to get shots of large groups of people.

When we got back to the hotel post-wedding, we realized Artistric Co. had already posted several photos from the wedding -- and we were completely floored by them!! The next day, everyone who encountered Ashley and her team had nothing but positive things to say about their patience, efficiency, and positive vibes. This honestly played such a large role in creating a stress-free and incredibly fun day for the bride and groom, and our family and friends!

Ashley is an extreme professional but also comes to know her couples as friends, which I think helps her to understand their wedding day vision even better. We loved being able to get to know Ashley through our engagement photos. Having worked with her early on got us so excited to work with her again for our wedding day. Ashley is extremely detailed, meticulous, and organized, which is a bride’s dream come true! She asked all of the important questions, asked questions that we didn’t know needed to be asked, and made important and time-saving recommendations to help make our wedding day run smoothly! Ashley was so dedicated to our wedding and making sure that we had the most perfect photos that she was at our reception venue the night before our wedding to scout photo locations for perfect wedding day photos! She was also an excellent person to have along, because she knew our reception venue better than us and was able to direct our transportation to the right locations for photos! On our wedding day, Ashely had along an additional photographer, Aimee, who was able to capture most of the guy’s getting ready photos and all of the other moments during the day. Aimee and Ashley were a great team, and had clearly worked together a lot, which made it easy for them to capture everything together! Ashley even came prepared on our wedding day with bug spray, which on a hot muggy, July day, became immediately necessary to fend off a million mosquitoes during our pictures! She was happy to share with the entire wedding party and saved us all from bug bites so that Evan and I could have our beautiful, outdoor, Arboretum photos. Ashley checked in with Evan and I throughout the day and evening to see if there were photos we would like. She even told me funny stories as she could sense me getting nervous prior to the wedding ceremony. We will continue to be Ashley’s biggest supporters, following her work, and hoping that we will some day work with her again!

There are seriously not enough good things I can say about Ashley! My husband and I have been lucky enough to work with her on Not 1…2…but 3 separate occasions! We did a fall shoot with her in the city for fun and loved the pictures. Once he proposed we knew instantly that we needed to go back to Ashley for our engagement pictures. It rained, was windy, and was about 40 degrees but they turned out perfect, plus getting published in The Knot was an extra element of fun that made being engaged just that more special.

Ashley is extremely talented at her craft. She knows the best places throughout the city, the time of day with the best light, and the kinds of movements and poses that are all going to create the best shots. The word I find myself constantly using to describe her work is Magical, and the way all of those elements come together truly make each shot just that!

As we began planning our San Diego wedding we knew that we would be disappointed having any other photographer capture such a special day, so we had her come out to California and I’m confident that was best choice we could have ever made! Our pictures look incredible! She captured every little detail from the wedding and moved around on the wedding day practically unseen which made for some great authentic candid shots. Our friends and family also cannot stop raving about how great our pictures came out.

We would recommend Artistrie Co. to everyone in Chicago and beyond! We want her to be our official photographer for all of life’s big events…We may not live in Chicago anymore but I’m sure we could make it work!

We are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos!! Ashley and her second shooter, Aimee, did an amazing job capturing all the little details of our wedding, including the emotions on our guests' faces! Seriously, nothing captures the moment like a good reaction shot. They also somehow have the incredible ability to make traditional posed family portraits look alive and breezy. Every single shot is a work of art, and everyone I share the photos with is amazed that wedding photos can look so good.

We loved working with Ashley and Aimee, who put us at ease from the start. We did our (amazing) engagement photos with Ashley as well, so by the time the wedding came, we felt right at home in front of the camera. We hired Ashley for our October 11, 2014 wedding and she and Aimee went above and beyond our expectations! From day one, Ashley has been exceptional with answering all of my emails and questions! I feel like we won the wedding photographer lottery. When I first saw Ashley's photos on her blog, I was blown away. When I found out that she traveled, and was willing to come to our event, it was a dream come true! I fell in love with the feeling she conveyed in her photos - somehow she always managed to capture an air of love, excitement, and dreaminess. When it came to our own photos, she captured all of that and more. We are amazed at all of the little details and special moments she managed to spot, and we will treasure these photos for a lifetime. Thank you, Ashley, for all that you do!

Ashley (the founder of Artistrie Co.) is one of the most creative people I have ever met. I have followed her work since she first started, and I knew that when I got married, I wanted her to photograph every moment. She has a natural eye for beauty and can make even the simplest scene into a masterpiece photograph. Ashley helped us throughout the planning process, even making suggestions when we weren't sure where to do our outdoor photos (the place she chose worked out perfectly!). The day of the wedding, she was organized and professional. She kept everybody on schedule and made sure to take all of the special photos we requested, as well as adding plenty of her own ideas. Because we didn't do an engagement session, we were nervous that we wouldn't know how to pose naturally for photos. But Ashley and her assistant Aimee made it so easy; we felt like we were just being ourselves and enjoying the day. The best part by far was receiving all of the final proofs. They were all so beautiful, and there were so many moments captured that we didn't expect. Our family and friends absolutely love them, and we have a huge collection that we can look back on for years to come.

Ashley was incredibly professional and flexible. I was in Chicago for the first time and decided to propose to my girlfriend. Ashley helped me chose a location that suited my fiance and myself. The location wasn't large but she found a way to keep herself hidden from view. All the pictures were amazing!!! I would highly recommend Artistrie Co. to anyone looking for professional photography at a reasonable price.

Ashley is an AMAZING photographer. Words can not describe how happy we are that we were able to work with her. We knew as soon as we meet her that we made the right choice and our engagement photos confirmed that! She has an eye for capturing absolutely beautiful moments. Ashley kept in contact with us throughout our wedding planning process. She made sure she had a good understanding of our vision for our wedding ceremony and reception. She did an amazing job in making sure everything went smoothly. Ashley posted wedding previews a couple days after the wedding and we are getting compliments on those. We cannot wait to see our wedding photos!

I used Ashley for an engagement session on 10/17/13

I had the pleasure of working with Ashley Biess on my Fall engagement session in Chicago's Lincoln Park area. I contacted Ashley via email in September letting her know my interest and she promptly returned all of my emails with detail and professionalism. I ended up booking her just a day after making contact for a early morning session on a weekday in October.

Even after I signed the contract Ashley was quick to respond to me about what kind of outfit she recommended as well as how we could incorporate our dog, Dexter.

The day came and it happened to be very cold and rainy that day. My fiance and I were at our meeting point early when Ashley called to discuss the rain and our options. It was so nice to hear that she would be accommodating to coming out and photographing in the rain or rescheduling, it was up to us.

We decided to go ahead and do the shoot in a little bit of rain, hoping it might clear up. After about 30 min in of shooting in the cold/rain, Ashley asked again if we were okay or if we wanted to reschedule for the rest of the session. We decided to continue on, and I'm so happy we did.

Ashley ended up posting preview pictures on Facebook only about an hour later! We loved the previews and couldn't wait to see more. And as she promised we received an amazing blog post and all the digital images only 3 weeks later. I have gotten so many amazing compliments on the pictures and she really made us look natural. The pictures really make you smile.

We ended up using 2 pictures for our save the dates, and the pictures with an umbrella in the rain ended up being awesome for bridal shower invitations.

If I wasn't getting married in Florida (where I already have a photographer set up) I would definitely hire Ashley for that as well.

I recommend her services and hope to use her again soon. =)

Ashley is a wonderful photographer to work with! Not only is she super talented she is incredibly nice and easy to work with. She was extremely prompt and very thorough with every question. She also offered to help after my videographer dropped out last minute. It was very kind! My pictures are more then I could ask for and several people have commented to me how perfect she captured the events of the day. I couldn't agree more. Thanks, Ashley! I used Ashley for my engagement photos, wedding photos and an after session. We LOVE every single photo we have received from her! We have also received so many compliments on them. They are just beautiful. Ashley is very professional and very down to earth. She jokes around with you and makes you feel very comfortable during each shoot. Words are not enough to explain how AMAZING Ashley is! Not only does she have an eye for capturing beautiful moments (which is evident in her photos!), but she is also one of the most wonderful individuals to work with. Ashley made sure to keep in touch with us during the entire wedding process and was always available to answer questions and give suggestions. Ashley did a great job in making sure our wedding day went smooth and stayed on track.

Where do I begin?! We hired Ashley for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. We loved her style and it was exactly what we were looking for. Ashley is so talented and does the most beautiful work! She really knows how to capture every special moment. Ashley is super friendly, prompt, and easy to work with. I had many questions during the time we took our engagement photos and a few special requests which she was more than happy to accommodate for. Another thing that Ashley does is post previews on Facebook of all her photo shoots the same day or a few days after. It's a great way to tide you over while you are anxiously waiting for the photos to be edited.
I have had many compliments on both our engagement and wedding photos from family and friends. I am positive that I chose the right photographer to capture our love. I definitely would recommend Ashley to a friend! She is the best! I can't wait to work with her again in the future!

My fiancée and I hired Ashley to do our engagement pictures in Chicago this past October. We were very impressed with Ashley leading up to our session. We are relatively new to Chicago, so Ashley helped us coordinate the timing and locations in Lincoln Park that she thought would be best for our pictures.

The day of our pictures, Ashley did a great job helping us feel comfortable. We let her take the lead on suggesting different staged and candid shots, and throughout the session she was open to our ideas and requests. She is very friendly and easy to work with.

We were very impressed with the quality of the pictures and the editing that Ashley did for us. She had pictures ready in a couple weeks, and sent us a disk for us to keep. We were hoping for a few good pictures, but ended up with many pictures that we love and plan on using for our save-the-dates and throughout the wedding. We highly recommend Ashley and look forward to giving to her name to our friends in the future.

For me, photography was my #1 most important choice when planning our wedding. I, myself, have a wedding photography business, and everyone would ask me how I could pick a photographer that would meet my standards and the idea in my head of what I wanted. When I met Ashley, not only did I love her work, but she was so easy to talk to and really professional. I loved that she knew Chicago like the back of her hand and knew all the great spots (that were similar to our vibe) to go shoot at. Not only that but leading up to the wedding, every time I liked one of her photos she would post on Facebook, she made a mental note, and already had ideas of where we may want to go throughout the wedding day for photos.

I havent even gotten our photos back yet (our wedding was only a few weeks ago), but from the previews she has posted, I am so incredibly happy and grateful that I found Ashley. She is a true professional that is in this business because she loves working with couples and I could really tell by her willingness to go above and beyond on our wedding day in the freezing Chicago weather.

I can safely say that I have absolutely no regrets going with Ashley. Photography was so important to me, and i could not be more happy that I got the privilege to work with such a brillant, down-to-earth photographer for our wedding. I cannot wait to do our Anniversary or Trash the Dress Session in the future! Love ya girl!

We were so happy with Ashley Biess from start to finish. She made us feel so comfortable and really captured the special moments of our wedding. She was very flexible and was ready for any weather condition, since our date was in December. We have such amazing pictures, and having releases to the HD images is a huge plus (and not a perk we found some other places). The print prices through her site are also very reasonable. Ashley was such a joy to work with, and she gave us the most beautiful photos of our engagement and wedding that I could ever imagine having. I had been admiring her work for quite some time as she did many of my friend's weddings, too, and I knew after the first time I saw her work I wanted her for my wedding. I cannot recommend Ashley enough! She is extremely talented and worth every penny! This was by far the best money I have ever spent! She was very prompt in responding to emails, helpful in answering questions about outfit choices for our engagement photos, and gave us great cues and directions during the shoot to ensure she captured our genuinely happy moments on film. Not just posed and smiling pictures. Ashley even captured me smiling with my teeth! Ashley has a great talent with photography. I am not camera shy, but i found myself very nervous for the engagement photos session. Ashley made both my husband and I feel super comfortable, and quickly. Ashley makes you feel like she is a close friend, or part of the family. When we received our engagement photos, i was satisfied with every single picture. I knew our wedding pix would be no worries, and I was right. Ashley was a pleasure to work with. I have said this about most of my vendors - but only because its true: AShley was calm and collected - which is important on your wedding day.

When the bride and groom tend to be a little more frazzled, what you need are vendors to keep things calm. AShley did this. I would recommend Ashley to any bride and groom. Talented, affordable, kind, easy-going and professional.

If you want a flexible photographer who is great at directing traffic at your wedding (herding family is like herding cats) you need to call Ashley Biess. Ashley is an amazing photographer!!! She's done many jobs for us and I will continue to use her in the future whenever I need/want pictures taken. I've come to her for a last minute shoot before and she was more than willing to help me out. On top of her flexibility she always responds to emails in a timely matter and makes you feel at ease while working with her. What I love most about her work is how well she captures emotion; I look at pictures and I feel like I'm reliving the day and I absolutely LOVE that feeling. The one thing I would recommend for the future is; I sent sample shots of others work that I loved and also wanted to reciprocate but we never did. I would just suggest making sure to get those shots as well because I am sad I forgot to give Ashley my engagement ring so I never got a fun ring shot. BUT that was my fault! I have no complaints what so ever about Ashley or her work just suggestions for the future. I plan on using her services until she gets sick of me!!

Where to begin? Ashley is AWESOME! I called 3 months before our wedding day 12/23/11, to see if she could drive out to Iowa and photograph our wedding. Being winter time in the Midwest, the holidays, AND such a short notice, I figured there would be no chance she would be available. But I lucked out big time! She was open on our big day and willing to brave the cold and the snow to drive to our location! What a sweet heart!!

She met me at the salon in the morning and it was like seeing a good friend. She is very personable and sweet! She always had a smile on her face and was very calm and collected. Any bride will tell you that it only takes one person and a poor attitude or bad mood to affect you negatively. Ashley only helped improve my calmness and mood!

Her photography is fantastic and what I really appreciated is that she helped me create a game plan on pictures we had to get weeks before the wedding. This helped the wedding day go very smoothly and made sure we captured all the moments we wanted. I would have been easily frazzled if we hadn't planned the pictures. Also, we got our pictures back in a VERY timely manner, actually ahead of schedule which was awesome!

While she took the pictures I barely noticed her (I mean that in a GOOD way). I've been to weddings where the photographer is extremely obvious to both the guests and wedding party while trying to get pictures. But she blended in, which I believe is really important in the delicate setting of a wedding, and ours was small and intimate.

Not IF, but WHEN you hire her =)...make sure to include a meal and seat in your reception dinner for her! She works a VERY long day and she definitely appreciated that she got to sit down and eat a good meal at our wedding.

Working with Ashley was the best decision we made. Ashley was always so ready to help with anything and was extremely accessible for all questions. Our wedding was farther away and we had no issues communicating over phone and e-mail. Her work was absolutely stunning! She took so many photographs! We absolutely LOVED working with Ashley for our wedding. She was so great to work with! Not only does she take amazing pictures, she has a wonderful personality that helps add to your special day. Where do we start?! Ashley is AMAZING! Her work is beautiful and she is just a pleasure to work with! From day one she has been such a big help with wedding planning! Not only do we have to thank her for the pictures, but for introducing us to our day of coordinator and our videographer! Ashley shot our engagement pictures last year and we STILL get compliments left and right so I know our wedding pictures will be OUTSTANDING! Even though we had a bit of a rainy wedding day, Ashley worked her magic. I was really worried we would end up rained out of the Lisle Arboretum, but with some luck it cleared up just enough to shoot some great pictures! We can't thank you enough Ashley! After seeing the work that Ashley had done on a friend's wedding, she was the clear choice for my husband and I. A quick look at other weddings she's photographed shows that she knows how to capture special moments in a way that helps you re-live them for years to come. Her non-traditional style allows for much more creativity and it's obvious that she loves what she does.

Ashley was always quick to answer our questions and meet with us regarding the contract, engagement photos and day of scheduling. I have know Ashley since college and she is a FABULOUS photographer! She has done both our wedding and engagement pictures and they really captured who we are as a couple! Ashley did both our engagement and wedding photos and we are very excited about the outcome! We have received numerous compliments on our pictures and it's so hard to pick out which ones to put in frames! Ashley was very flexible and comfortable to work with and I would highly recommend her to everyone. Her pricing was also very affordable and pictures were done in a very timely fashion.

Ashley and the rest of the Artistrie Co team were probably the best investment we made for our entire wedding. Ashley's style of shooting captured our wedding day in a way we couldn't imagine. I knew I was in love with her photos after seeing some of the weddings she shot on her website. They looked like they were straight out of a bridal magazine; I didn't think it was possible our pictures could turn out that amazing, but they did. We are so happy with them! Our pictures are warm, light, and look like they are radiating with love. Working with Ashley was extremely easy as well; she was very accessible through email, text, and phone, and always responded within a day or two. We received our pictures just about a month after our big day and were overwhelmed by the amount we got back (over 1000). We could not be more happy with the final result, and I've already recommended Ashley and the rest of the Artistrie Co team to anyone needing a top notch photographer. Ashley, thank you again for giving us amazing photos of the biggest day of our lives that we will look back at for years to come and smile as big as we are right now.

Ashley did a great job photographing our engagement photos and wedding day. She has a great eye, and the style of her photos was exactly what we were looking for! I look forward to hiring her to take our family portraits in the future.
