Beautiful and delicious wedding cake

Michael created the most beautiful and delicious cake. His red velvet and almond flavors were the talk of the wedding! We had guest asking if we had more cake the next day haha We did a 3-tier cake in red velvet, and an additional sheet cake of the almond. The cake was decorated with beautiful red roses and a cake topper. Michael was professional and easy to work with. Thank you so much!!!

Mouth watering

I can still remember the delicious taste of the cake and fondant from my wedding 10 years ago!!! Still the best cake I’ve ever had!

Overall Amazing!

Michael is so talented and created! He made my bridal shower and wedding cake and both were amazing. I was specific about wanting him to do both because there were so many flavors i loved! My bridal shower cake was made to look like a garden and people didn’t even realize it was a cake!

My wedding cake was just as delicious and beautiful. I went for a very classic look and the cake was one of my favorite decorations.

Michael is very kind and so talented! I would highly recommend his creations!

Best wedding cake ever!

Many of my guests commented that this was the best wedding cake they have ever had. I really enjoyed working with Michael throughout the process. He is flexible and creative and we were thrilled with the cake!

Amazing Fall Wedding

Everything about the cake from the design down to the taste was amazing. All guest called to find out if we had more because it was delicious. Micheal was very kind and his presentation of cake flavors was amazing. We were more than satisfied. We will be using Artistic Desserts in the future.

Amazing experience

Michael was amazing to work with and the finished product was beyond our dreams!! My husband is a big cake guy and I was worried that we wouldn't find anything that WOWED him!! I was so wrong...from the minute the tasting started all I heard was wow that was the best cake I've ever had!!! Piece after piece. Michael thank you can never be enough but it's all I have. So THANK YOU!!!

Perfect wedding cake

The wedding cake was more than I ever imagined. From the detail to the appearence and the taste. I simply showed Michael a picture and he made it come to life. Words does not due this justice. We did a nightmare before Christmas theme.. AMAZING!!!!!!

Great cake and great service!

Michael was fantastic to work with! He was very accommodating (even with my gluten allergy) and great with communicating during the planning process. The cake was delicious and beautifully decorated! We got so many compliments on it!

Throughout the planning stages, Michael was always available and was very responsive which was helpful to finalize the details! During such a (potentially) stressful time planning, he helps make designing your perfect cake easy! The cake was exactly what I was looking for and tasted absolutely delicious. My experience with Michael was so delightful. The 1st call he explained everything to me asked if I have any questions and was willing to answer my questions and if he had any questions he would call me as well as send an email.
The cake was awesome! I still have family and friends asking about.

Michael at Artistic Desserts was awesome! We ordered our wedding cake through our venue and I am so glad they put us in touch. Out of everything at our wedding everyone kept commenting on how good the cake was! It looked beautiful also. So happy we went with Artistic Desserts!

The wedding went off without a hitch. The wedding cake was absolutely perfect, just as we ordered. As soon as I walked into the Grey Rock Mansion and saw the cake, I immediately took a picture. All the guests enjoyed the cake; it was very good and tasty.
Thanks again for your service and support. I don't have any more children to marry off, but I will highly recommend you to anyone I know who is having a wedding in the future.

Michael is a genius. My wedding cake was completely gorgeous and completely delicious. We were able to taste about 6 different cakes and they were all scrumptious. We went this the almond. Goodness!! What an amazing cake. And this is from a woman who bakes. All my friends were concerned that I couldn’t find a baker who would meet my very high standards but boy did I! Michael did an amazing job. The cake was moist and beautiful. Look no further.

Our cake was included in our venue's package. We received cake slices at the venue tasting (before meeting Michael) to bring home with us. After eating a lot of cake, I contacted Michael to set up a planning call. The call was easy and I liked that I could share my inspiration with him on his own computer. He helped my now-husband and I work out the right design for us. We went for lemon cake with raspberry jam and raspberry cream filling and Italian cream cake with dark chocolate ganache and peanut butter cream filling. Both were amazing. I was hesitant to keep the top tier so Michael suggested that we save our top tier for a "wedding photo viewing" party, rather than our one year anniversary (brilliant idea). It was great working with him and I'm excited to get the photos back so I can eat more cake.

For my March 24 2018 the cake was so beautiful! My husband is a vegan and he even made a small groom cake for him! The cake was delicious and truly a work of art! Thank you!

Working with Michael was a true pleasure. He was 100% ready for us at the tasting with a lot of delicious samples and guided us through the process of making our selections. It was nice to be able to offer several different flavors of cake at our reception.

He delivered the dessert to our wedding just as promised and we had a ton of positive feedback from our guests.

PS ... the peanut butter flavor was my personal favorite!

Michael took the time to explain everything in detail prior to our wedding reception, giving helpful advice on the look of our cake. Our cake turned out just as we had imagined it to! The guests loved the flavors and said it was perfect.. moist, not too sweet. We had our anniversary cake not too long after, and it was still so delicious!

We were so happy with Michael and Artistic Desserts! From the start, Michael was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We got to taste 9 flavors (all amazing) and he gave us the option of mixing and matching cake and icing flavors. The cake looked and tasted amazing! Michael helped make our dream wedding day come to life and a huge success!
He is phenomenal! The cake he made for us was not only beautiful but a work of art! Elegant and breath taking! You will never go wrong by using him! You don’t have to go anywhere else. I can guarantee you that if you go anywhere else you will be disappointed and not get your money’s worth. Michael did an excellent job with our wedding cake. He made the cake exactly how we wanted it, and it tasted AMAZING. He also happened to be present when our florist dropped off some small succulents for use on the cake, and Michael placed them exactly how we had envisioned. I'd definitely recommend using Artistic Desserts!

Not only was our cake DELICIOUS, but it was beautiful as well. Michael, worked with us to design a cake and offered suggestions for the overall look. The cake was amazing. Many of our guests raved, noting that they had multiples slices because it was phenomenal! Will definitely be ordering other cakes for Artistic Desserts!

The wedding cake for my daughter's wedding was fabulous, delicious and beautiful! Michael was very pleasant and conscientious! We had five delicious flavors for our tasting. It was so hard to decide that we picked two flavors for the four tiered cake. Our guests loved the cake and everyone thought the design was gorgeous. We highly recommend Artistic Desserts!

Book Artistic Desserts as fast as you can!

Michael worked with us to design a gorgeous cake with two flavors that looked elegant and tasted AMAZING! So good, in fact, that, even though we were only married 6 days ago, we are halfway through eating the top tier we were supposed to save for the one year anniversary... oops.

Seriously, the cake tasted so good that I received numerous compliments from guests, and I will be purchasing another cake in the same flavor for my husband's upcoming birthday. THAT is how good it was.

Book Michael immediately but pack some Spanx for your wedding dress because the cake is gorgeous and irresistible!

My husband and I were thrilled with our wedding cake from Artistic Desserts! Michael diligently worked with us to create the perfect cake. He was so detail orientated and the cake ended up looking (and tasting) absolutely perfect. Couldn't have been happier with the experience. Michael did our wedding cake and he was so easy and nice to work with. We had a call to go through pictures and he accommodated what we were looking for and it turned out beautifully! It also tasted great! We weren't able to do the flavor we wanted because of some allergies our guests had so he made a smaller cake for me and my husband to have that night. We used Artistic Desserts for our wedding on October 3, 2015 (it was suggested from our vendor). Let me tell you... Michael was just amazing. Our cake looked EXACTLY how I wanted, it was picture perfect, AND he went out of his way to find a cutter for our last initial for fondant to lay on the cake (with no extra charge at that)! It was hard to believe that the cake tasted even better than it looked because it was beautiful! It was extremely rich and moist; we had never eaten a wedding cake that tasted so so delicious. We had at least 50 people after our wedding talk about how amazing the cake was and went out of their way to let us know it was the most amazing wedding cake they had ever eaten. Clearly I am partial, but I will recommend Michael and Artistic Desserts for ANY wedding or event and will be contacting him in the future!

Michael ALSO just re-made our top layer for us at a very reasonable cost for our 1 year anniversary!!! <3

My husband, family, and I couldn't have been more happy with Artistic Desserts. Michael is extremely friendly and personable. We had read great reviews about him already but he went beyond our expectations which were already high. Our tasting was beautiful - not like any other tasting situation I've experienced or seen. He invited us into his home and had a beautiful tea/coffee setup with nice China, and included whole family. He provided us every type of cake he offered, plus a special request someone had asked for that he had extras from so he included that. We were each given a large slice each of every cake, and he made sure to include all of the icing options in them. We couldn't believe how delicious every one of them was. I'm not exaggerating or embellishing here - they were truly some of the best cake any of us have ever had. The icing is just right, and the texture of the cake was perfect.

He was extremely accommodating and willing to customize our package to what worked best for us. My family tends to be very thorough and ask way more questions than most, but not only was Micheal patient, he was thorough in his answers and took everything above and beyond! He walked us through to figure out what the best options were for what we needed. He was honest with us too, which is something that is hard to find. He didn't just openly agree with everything we asked for - when he didn't think a combination we mentioned would work well, he spoke up and explained why it wouldn't be the best way to go - though he would be willing to do it if we still wanted it. His suggestions truly came out beautifully and I'm so glad he spoke up!

We got so many comments about how beautiful the cake was. Some questioned if it was even a real cake at first! His suggestion of "twinkle dust" really gave it a finishing touch. Guests were raving well beyond the wedding about how delicious it was. We love Michael and will definitely be working with him again in the future.

My husband and I could not be happier with the cake that we had for our wedding on October 1, 2016! Not only was our cake absolutely stunning, but it was amazingly delicious.

Working with Michael was a breeze! He is so incredibly flexible, and his work is impeccable. I spoke with him twice on the phone, and maybe exchanged two emails, and everything was easily settled! We had an easy virtual consultation where he showed us all of the beautiful possibilities on the computer while we were sitting on our own couch. Michael was willing to provide extra details that were not initially included with our venue's cake package because he definitely wants your cake to be special.

We had so many guests tell us how delicious our cake was (we had Italian cream with raspberry marmalade and butter cream frosting--amazing!). If you need any more proof of how delicious his cakes are, our dance floor was packed all night, except for when the cake was distributed! If you get a chance to use Artistic Desserts, consider yourself in excellent hands, and you will not be disappointed!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience working with Michael at Artistic Desserts.

First, Michael nailed the two most important parts of a wedding cake--taste and look. Most weddings we go to, people eat a bite or two of the cake. EVERYONE ate their entire piece at our wedding. And many asked for more! The cake also looked phenomenal. He matched exactly our vision as discussed at our consult, and even more impressive, he matched the rather unique color of our wedding party dresses. We sent him a swatch and figured he would do what he could to get close. Well I don't know how he did it but it was an EXACT match. It looked so wonderful in our pictures.

Second, working with Michael was a breeze. In all the wedding craziness, it was so great that Michael offers cake consults over the phone. He shares his screen with you (we don't know how to describe it better than that--technology confuses us!) and goes over everything from design to color to toppers and everything in between. He brought great ideas to the table that clearly showed he listened to our ideas and helped translate them into an executable cake design.

Finally, we wanted to make sure that we found someone that was comfortable doing a same-sex wedding. Michael was so warm, welcoming, and supportive. It was absolutely never an issue. And I can say that certainly wasn't the case with everyone we met with.

If you want a delicious and beautiful cake, designed and executed by a wonderful person who couldn't be easier to work with, go with Artistic Desserts. We assure you, it will be one of the best decisions you make for your event.

We met Michael at a wedding show and we knew from that day he was going to be the one that made the most important cake we would ever buy! Michael is absolutely amazing to work with, his cakes are amazing and so moist and flavorful! Michael truly went out of his way to create my fairy tale cake. We had a Beauty and the Beast cake topper and Our cake fit right into the theme of the cake topper, it even shimmered! We cannot wait to eat our anniversary cake no less the cakes will will order in the future!

We really enjoyed working with Michael! We had gone to 2 other cake vendors before meeting with him. He was our favorite among the three vendors as well as the most detail-oriented. He also made the cake tasting more of a personalized, formal affair as he provided a full table setting for us complete with china, freshly-made coffee and full cake slices (not just samples) to try and discuss together. It was a very elegant and well-presented experience. Michael also had a big display screen which showcased some of his cake creations (all flawless and beautiful) and had samples of Styrofoam cake tiers to help us with visuals. He was super organized during the consultation and went beyond the general experience you have with a cake vendor. He wrote down every detail of our cake vision, asked questions in order to get it right, and worked with us on both our requests and budget.

He was also very helpful throughout the planning process. We had a conflict with our cake topper and he was quick to respond and professional yet friendly in sharing with us his suggestions, and he was able to make it work which alleviated some last minute wedding-planning stress!

Overall, Michael is tremendous in both the form and function of his cakes. Our wedding cake looked and tasted great. We got so many compliments on it and being the cake lovers we are will never forget how perfect it was!

Michael Markwitz from Artistic Desserts was the best! My wedding was August 9, 2015 and things have just settled down for me to provide feedback to all of the wonderful vendors that I worked with to make my wedding day special. I provided Michael with a picture of what I wanted and he completely exceeded my expectations. Michael was creative and very easy to work with --I could definitely tell that he is a seasoned professional and that really made me feel at ease. I absolutely love all of the pictures of my cake. And what made my cake even more stellar was that it was delicious! I received many compliments on the cake, and my husband and I indulged so much that we ate a few slices from the top tier days after the wedding that we barely had any left to save for our first anniversary:) I couldn’t have asked for a better cake or chef!

CAKE WAS AMAZING! Michael is easy to work with, we showed him photos of what we wanted and he replicated it so perfectly!

Tasted delicious, he was helpful with tips on freezing/storing it, and he sent us samples to our venue so we didn't have to travel to Westminster.

A true pleasure, we would use him again!!

From the minute we spoke to Michael we knew our wedding cake experience was going to be excellent! Not only was he accommodating with getting us samples, they were so delicious! He worked so well to design our cake and give us great ideas. Chef Michael at Artistic Desserts made the most incredible wedding cake for my wedding! He worked very closely with me and my husband to tailor our cake to our tastes. The 4-tiered wedding cake was not only beautiful and elegant, but it was the most delicious cake I have ever had. Michael even accommodated my food allergy to eggs, and made a small egg-less cake for my husband and I to cut into during the reception. Needless to say, my husband and I cut took the time to sit down and eat our cake while the guests danced and carried on with the reception. We did not want to miss out on our cake! And we were so excited because we got to enjoy a few more pieces later that evening in our hotel room. Thank you, Michael, for artfully crafting the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake a bride could ever dream of!

Our wedding planner referred us to Artistic Desserts and they were fabulous. Our theme was Alice in Wonderland and the cake they made us was truly a work of art! We ended up choosing three different cake flavors and they were all amazingly delicious! I would definitely recommend them!!

Michael did the wedding cake for my sister’s wedding in 2009, so when I got engaged, I knew who was going to do mine! We touched based with him at a tasting at Grey Rock Mansion and his cakes were everything we remembered! We had a webinar meeting with him to discuss our plans in detail. It was so nice to not have to drive to another meeting! We had 300+ guests at our wedding and wanted to offer a variety of flavors, so we went with Lemon Cream Cake with Raspberry Cream Fillings for the 4 tier main cake, and then had 4 “strips” of different flavors: Italian Cream Cake with Swiss Raspberry and Vanilla Custard Filling, Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache and Chocolate Mousse Filling, Red Velvet Cake with Bourbon Vanilla Cream Cheese Fillings, and Italian Cream Cake with Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and Milk Chocolate Ganache Fillings. All of our guests were raving over the cakes. Not only were they gorgeously decorated, but they tasted amazing! We highly recommend Michael and Artistic Desserts!

Our wedding guests raved about how delicious and moist our wedding cake was. Michael really outdid himself. I have been to many other weddings, but have never seen a cake more beautiful than mine. The tastings were great and the flavors we chose (Italian cream cake with yellow custard, chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, red velvet with cream cheese, and Italian cream cake with Reese's peanut butter cup) were incredible. We were able to do a web meeting with the baker prior to the wedding to show him which styles we liked for decorations. He was very accommodating and had great ideas. I would recommend Artistic Desserts to anyone!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Artistic Desserts! Michael was a dream to work with, very easy going and helpful. This baker is affiliated with our venue. Since we ordered cake through them, we rolled the cake tasting into the food tasting. Bonus! :) One tasting - one trip - easy! We were offered several different flavors of cake and icing and chose red velvet with cream cheese. The cake was delicious and BEAUTIFUL! I worked with Michael directly to order waterproof ribbon to add to the cake. We could not have been more pleased with the cake! It was exactly what we wanted and really, really looked beautiful! We have our top layer for the anniversary as Michael gave us a small topper in addition to the actual cake (wedding only 70 people). And Michael was so pleasant to work with - congratulated me on our wedding every time we spoke, sent me an email 2 days before reassuring me everything was on track and there would be no hiccups. Highly recommend!!

Michael at Artistic Desserts did an outstanding job creating the perfect rustic wedding cake. I gave him some fairly unconventional requests and the cake came out exactly as I imagined. I'm certain that twigs are not a common cake decor, but they pulled it off beautifully and let's not forget that the two cake flavors we chose were absolutely delicious! Our guests raved!

Chef Michael of Artistic Desserts made us a delicious and stunning wedding cake and Marine Corps Birthday cake as a "groom's cake." For the design of our wedding cake, he was able to replicate the flower lace and beading from my gown, which is exactly what I envisioned. We received so many compliments from our guests, and several said it was the best wedding cake they have ever had! We had an extra large tier left over after the wedding so we donated it to the American Legion in Bel Air for Veterans Day and they were thrilled with it as well. Upon our one year anniversary, we defrosted the top tier and it was still as delicious as on that day! Amazing flavor, technique, and service all around!!

I currently used Michael from Artistic Desserts for my wedding cake. It was a bit of a drive out for the tasting but he made it very comfortable. He served us tea and coffee as we tried some of his best selling flavors. He showed us some of the cakes that he has designed in the past. He asked us a lot of questions about details making sure we were happy with the design and flavors of the cake. We got a 4 tier cake, the bottom was Reese's peanut butter cup, the next one was chocolate with chocolate, the next was red velvet and the top tier was pumpkin spice. The cake was amazing. We had asked for fall color leaves to climb up the cake with twigs. About a week before the wedding he called me asking what kind of leaves I wanted and how big to make sure he got all the details correctly. He sent me an email of all of his leaf templates and their sizes. I picked the one I thought was most appropriate. Looking at the cake on my wedding day I couldn't have imagined a better looking cake. It was exactly what I wanted it to look like. The cake was a bit expensive but I think it was worth the cost for such good quality and care.

We attended a tasting at our venue, Grey Rock Mansion and Artistic Desserts is the cake baker for this venue. We sampled the cake there and it is hands down the best cake I've ever had in my life. I was so excited for my wedding day to have another piece of cake LOL! We chose the Italian Dream flavor for one tier, and the chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling for the other two and they both are fantastic. You will NOT be disappointed. Michael is a dream to work with and so is the cake!

We didn't get to taste much of the cake, as the day went by fast, but it looked AMAZING,,,,, our guests all said the cake was great. We saved the top layer for our anniversary, although I'm sure it'll be gross like everyone else's lol.

My wedding cake was included in the wedding package that I contracted with my vendor. Let me just say that I am a cake lover and when it comes to my cake I don't play games. So, I was a bit apprehensive about trusting some random bakery with cake for one of the biggest days of my life. However, me, my husband, and all of my guests couldn't have been more pleased with the cake that "Artistic Desserts" created for my wedding. The design was beautiful and the cake itself was rich and to die for. Let me also mention that the owner Michael is one of the sweetest folks you ever want to speak with over the phone. I can tell that he cares about his product, his clients, and his brand and I appreciated that.

We had our wedding cake made by Michael, the owner of the Artistic Desserts, and it was the most amazing cake my husband and I, my parents and in-laws have ever tasted! We decided to go with the lemon cake with vanilla-raspberry cream, and it tasted heavenly. In fact, we have barely made it to our one month anniversary to have our wedding cake top tier, and are planning to order a whole new cake for our one year anniversary.
Other then wonderful taste, our cake looked exactly the way I imagined it. Michael made it very easy to discuss the cake design with the on-line meeting. He looked at designs I preselected, made a couple of great recommendations and the result couldn't have been more perfect. He also has been extremely flexible and responsive throughout the whole process. I would recommend Artistic Desserts to anyone who is looking for a perfectly looking and tasting wedding cake!

The cake from Artistic Desserts was included in the package from my venue (Simply Elegant/Grey Rock Mansion), but this cake was OUTSTANDING.

We were able to taste some of the flavors at our menu tasting at Grey Rock, and my husband and I chose the same flavor immediately - the Italian Cream Cake with Vanilla Custard and the Swiss Raspberry Marmalade.

We ultimately decided that, for the chocolate lovers, we'd also include a layer that was dark chocolate with chocolate mousse filling.

You never know what you're going to get when the cake comes with your venue, but the cake was delicious and we had a ton of compliments on the design and the flavor of the cake.

Michael was great to work with (mostly electronically - my preference), and the cake was one thing I never had to worry about.

My husband & I are so happy with the cake we received from Michael at Artistic Desserts! It was delicious, we got great feedback from our guests and seeing the cake come to life after the sketch we made together was truly wonderful!

We had 2 flavors, red velvet and the triple chocolate, both got rave reviews and the icing wasn't too much! It was perfect! Michael was a real pleasure to work with. We did a web meeting with him from the comfort of our own home, it was very convenient! Michael was punctual, professional and so easy to work with.

His cakes are delicious and a piece of art! I highly recommend working with Michael for your cake, wether it be wedding, grooms or for a special life event, his cakes are to die for! Our cake was to die for and the attention to detail was great!!

Not only was our 3 tier cake beautiful, but it was delicious! My parents and my husbands parents both served carrot cake at their wedding, and it was important to us that we serve an authentic carrot cake too. It was the best carrot cake we've ever tasted! We also chose Italian Cream Cake with raspberry filling, and Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. All of our guests are still talking about our divine cakes. There are two important features of a cake - the look and the taste. Mike nailed both of them! He was great to work, the cake was beautiful with and tasted FANTASTIC! The guests raved about the cake...and we agree. Michael was so easy to work with. We loved the fact that we could have different flavors on each layer. Michael had a great suggestion to make a three tier cake and then a separate sheet cake to supplement the one everyone would see. This saved us a good deal of money and accomplished the number of slices we needed. I am not a cake eater and I continue to devour the lemon raspberry extra cake that we brought home.

Artistic Desserts did my wedding cake this past month, It was the best cake ever, the frosting was delicious, the cake was moist and yummy, all the guests raved about the cake and asked where did we get it. When we went to a tasting Michael ( the owner ) was so helpful, he understands how planning a wedding can be and catered to us. We walked us through choosing the design of the cake and even matched the color of the roses on the cake with the décor of our reception, with some swatches we provided.

On our wedding day Michael even came early to set up the cake and the cake topper and made sure everything was ok with the cake before leaving the venue.

All in all it was a great experience and 2 of my friends will be using Artistic Desserts for their weddings next summer :)

I first met Michael at a bridal show at my wedding venue. After tasting his Reese's peanut butter cup filling, I was sold and wouldn't stop talking about it for months. At our tasting, I was amazed by the rest of his fillings and cake flavors as well. Michael uses very high quality ingredients that are worth the price. We served almond cake with peanut butter cup filling and Italian creme cake with Swiss raspberry and vanilla custard filling. Both cakes were to die for. My sister said it was the best cake she had ever tasted and another friend told me that she dreams about our cake every night. The same is pretty much true for me and I can't wait to dive into our top tier!

Michael from Artistic Desserts made us the most beautiful and delicious weekend cake! He really listened to us and designed something really special. He was so great to work, we had an idea of what we wanted but he took the time to brainstorm new and different ideas for us and let me tell you he really delivered. Not only was the cake beautifully decorated it was DELICIOUS. Heath bar is the way to go!! Our cake tasting was a lot of fun and we tried all sorts of amazing flavors but I had to go with Heath Bar and butter cream.
It was amazing!!! The whole experience working with Artistic Desserts was easy, on our budget and the cake was delicious and really matched our personality.

Artistic Desserts was wonderful! I was able to talk with Michael about my overall vision for my cake and he was so helpful because I didn't have many ideas at all. The tasting was tough because all of their cakes tasted delicious! Michael is hands down THE BEST and so are his cakes!!! My husband and I went to Artistic Desserts because they came so highly rated. We were not let down! Our wedding was at the Antrim 1844 which is close to Artistic Desserts in Westminster.

I went with my fiance to Michael's house for the tasting - we sat in his dining room and sampled several flavors of cake with tea. Michael took the time to talk to us about different flavors and the best filling choices for each different flavor. My husband - who says he doesn't like desserts - all but licked his plate! I knew instantly we had a winner!

We couldn't decide, instead we went with THREE different flavors! (I regret not having more tiers and more flavors!). Michael also helped us design the cake's exterior with cherry blossoms (and it was sooo beautiful).

The cake was perfect when it arrived and its scent filled the hall! He's amazing, and we can't recommend him enough!

Artistic Desserts came to me through a preferred vendor list at my venue, Stone Manor. I am so glad that I found them, because they are simply amazing. From the cake testing to the big day, everything was conducted in a very professional and friendly manner. And the cake - it was beautiful! Exactly what I had been hoping for! Not to mention we had numerous comments on how delicious it was. Artistic Desserts is our vendor of choice for any wedding cake.

Our cake was amazing! We were a little skeptical about using fondant because most of the time it doesn't taste very good, but their fondant was so good you couldn't even tell the difference. We went to 4 cake tastings, and this one was just the best hands down with everything. So happy with our choice.

I tasted many cakes and bridal shows, but none of them compared to the Artistic Desserts cakes! Mike was great to work with and created the most beautiful and best tasting wedding cake ever. I would highly recommend Artistic Desserts for any occassion of cakes. Even my guests raved over the cake and took home extras to freeze!

It was wonderful to work with Michael at Artistic Desserts to make our wedding cake and our groomscake. Michael was professional, flexible, and easy to work with. Artistic desserts did my wedding cake on September 16, 2012. I worked with Michael, and he was always very professional and quick to return my calls with any questions I had. We knew as soon as we tasted their cake that we wanted to use them. There cakes are the best I've ever tasted! The fillings are amazing and the cake is so moist and fresh tasting. We got a pretty basic 3 tier wedding cake with piping and some design on it in icing but it looked beautiful and classic. I loved my wedding cake!

Michael created a wedding cake that was not only gorgeous, but was also delicious. I have tried cakes from many vendors in the Baltimore area and his tastes the best. Michael bakes his cakes and decorates them my much closer to the wedding day compared to some other bakeries, which results in his cakes tasting very fresh. Michael also perfectly captured the design that i had in mind for my cake. The cake looked even better in person than i had imagined.

Michael's cake's are not only delicious but amazingly stunning to look at! I actually had the pleasure of meeting Michael two separate times before our meeting to choose flavors & a design. I met Michael the first time at Savage Mill bridal show and fell in LOVE with his Italian Cream cake with Swiss Raspberry Marmalade (yum!). Then my fiance, parents and I met him again at a catering tasting @ Grey Rock Mansion with Simply Elegant Catering. Little did I know that our caterer worked directly with Michael @ Artistic Desserts. Needless to say I was delighted that not only my fiance but my parents could now also taste his mouthwatering flavors that I had been raving about. Michael made us the most beautiful, delicious, amazing wedding cake that I could have ever imagined! The cake was on display next to us the whole night and I couldn't stop myself from staring at it in amazement... it was exactly what we discussed when we met with him and we were so impressed that he made it come to life. I HIGHLY recommend Artistic Desserts for your wedding cake! I myself can't wait for an excuse to get an amazing cake from Michael again!!

We loved our cake so much! Michael was fantastic. So nice and so responsive to what we wanted done on our cake. We had a lot of glitches happen on our wedding day with other vendors, but our wedding cake was PERFECT! All the guests were raving on how great the cake tasted too. We loved it so much we want to order another one for our anniversary that’s coming up!

We worked with Michael from Artistic Desserts through Simply Elegant Catering at Grey Rock Mansion. We had been to a tasting at the mansion approx 1 year prior to our wedding date, but since we barely remembered the cakes, Michael was gracious enough to provide us another tasting. Our cake was gorgeous. We are eating pieces 3 weeks later and it still tastes AMAZING!

I would definitely recommend Michael for all your cake needs. Initially, my husband and I were skeptical about getting a large cake, since it's expensive and generally does not taste very good. But once we met with Michael and tasted his cakes, we were sold. They were absolutely DELICIOUS! We ended up getting a three tiered cake with a chocolate cake + chocolate ganache layer, Italian cream cake layers, and red velvet + cream cheese frosting layer. Each tier was delicious per our guests and the chocolate layer with the ganache was my personal favorite. Moreover, the cake was beautiful. Michael really execute my vision to a tee! He rocks and I would recommend him to everyone!

It was such a pleasure to work with Michael from Artistic Desserts! He was very thorough and attentive. The cake tasting at his home was professional and delicious! My mom and I had tasted his cakes amoung many others at a bridal show and his cakes were by far THE BEST! We decided against fondant (although he let us taste his and it was not bad) and had a 4 tier square cake that was both gorgeous and delicious!! Michael is top notch and goes above and beyond for his clients! I would recommend Artistic Desserts to anyone! Thanks Michael!!

My cake was absolutely beautiful!! It was so hard to choose the flavors of the cake because all of them tasted very good. They even made a small personal cake for my flower girl, for a reasonable price, being that it was her 3rd birthday the day of my wedding!! I had many compliments from my guests on how good the cake was!!

Michael created my dream wedding cake! I met him at a bridal show at The Great Room in Savage, MD (where I ended up having my reception) and the moment I tasted his chocolate cake, I knew he was the one. He also had this beautiful cake on display that I ended up designing my cake after. I loved everything about the cake and working with him to design it. The thing that sets him apart from other cake companies is that it is a family run business and I love that wholesome feeling. Also in a year on my anniversary, he will send us our anniversary cake (of the chocolate of course) so we dont have to eat one that was frozen for a year.
Michael also helped me create the perfect grooms cake (and at an afforadable price!). It was carrot cake designed with a Jets logo with pictures of our dog on the outside. I will come back and post pictures when we get the professional ones back from our photographer!!!

Thank you Michael and I highly recommend you (Artistic Desserts) to any brides looking for the cake of their dreams!!

Michael is wonderful. He has so many flavors, and they were all delicious. It was hard to choose! We did half of the cake 1 flavor, and the other half another completely different flavor. One was chocolate with peanut butter cup frosting on the inside, and the other half was lemon with swiss raspberry marmalade. Both were delicious! He also made us a Vegan groom's cake which was amazing.

Chef Michael knows what he is doing!! When we went out to Westminster to try his cake selections, both myself and my HUSBAND fell in love...and both of our plates were clean! He was very flexible to work with; I wanted to incorporate Funfetti cake into some layers of our wedding cake since its my favorite and even though it is not a flavor he normally does, he experimented and made it work out wonderfully! We ended up doing that mixed with layers of Red Velvet Cake and overall got rave reviews. Thank you Chef Michael! We loved everything about the cake!!

Artistic Desserts was a pleasure to work with and made a delicious cake that our guests raved about (and one later told us, had dreams about). I worked for a pastry chef (who made wedding cakes) and in professional kitchens (on their dessert station) so I would say that I am about the pickiest person I know when it came to our wedding cake. My husband has a gluten allergy and so we went with Michael’s fabulous chocolate gluten free cake. Most of our guests (including the one who dreamed about it) could eat gluten but they ate our cake like there was no tomorrow because it was a delicious moist chocolate cake with fabulous ganache filling and the butter cream frosting was just right – not at all greasy. It was also beautifully decorated (the icing matched the color samples perfectly) and very affordable. Michael has a lovely style and does not pressure you to buy more cake then you need, or do crazy things to make your cake expensive. Before we signed on with him, he provided us with a lovely free tasting and trial of all the toppings. He also delivered ours himself and coordinated with our florist to get the flowers on top of the cake and around the cake just right. That made one fewer thing we had to deal with. All in all, he was fabulous to work with and the cake couldn’t have been more perfect.

Michael from Artistic Desserts was a pleasure to work with! We gave him a photo of a cake we wanted and he made it look beautiful, with pinwheels coming down the cake, and a beautiful logo just exactly what we wanted! Our cake was beautiful and delicious! We had our tasting at his home and the coffee and all the cake flavors were excellent, but the best is the Italian Cream! We had some left over so we continued to eat it for a couple of days and it seems to just get better. There was no way we were smashing this cake in each other's faces, that would have been a waste of deliciousness!

Mike's cakes are delicious and absolutely beautiful. He was INCREDIBLY responsive, and was just an overall pleasure to work with. The cake was so delicious that I even had guests asking if they could take cake with them to go.
