Do the videography!

We really enjoyed working with Artisan Events for our wedding. Everyone we worked with was amazing and the organization leading up to the event minimized stress. We were confident that everything would go smoothly, and it did! Photos are absolutely lovely. I was hesitant to invest in the videography package - videography is expensive and I really didn't know if it would be worth it. It definitely was! If you are debating, do it! They did an amazing job highlighting the day and piecing everything together. By the time everything is done, the whole day is a bit of a blur. The video will definitely help cherish memories forever!

So good we booked them 3 times!

Our photographer John was amazing to work with and clearly a professional when it comes to wedding photos! We also did engagement photos with him and it was a great experience. My (now) husband and I had never taken professional photos, and were slightly awkward. John put us at ease and coached us through the whole thing. The photos came out beautiful and we have never looked better! Thank you so much Artisan Events for these memories from our engagement and small covid wedding. We also booked them for our large reception this year and they were just as incredible as before. Cannot ask for more consistently beautiful photos! Loved them!

Great Chicago Photography Company!

We found Artisan Events on the Knot website while planning our summer Chicago wedding and I am so glad we did! We interviewed a few different photography companies in the city prior to meeting Artisan, specifically Cindy, and we were sold! We are so impressed with their professionalism and timeliness with our planning, and our photographers were phenomenal the day of. They worked with my husband and I, as well as our wedding planner, to make sure we felt prepared and set for our day. They were organized, professional, and very talented. We are so happy with our product, our pictures are beautiful, and we highly recommend you utilize this company!

Great experience - highly recommend Lexi!

Our wedding planner recommended Artisan Events to us and we couldn't be happier with the result! We had Lexi as our lead shooter for the day and she was awesome! Not only did she took some great opportunities to capture very cute moments as we were laughing and enjoying ourselves, but she also made us all feel very comfortable right off the bat. Our photos came out amazing and we have a wide range of photos, including portraits, candid shots, and even pictures with a troll at the Morton Arb.

Great photos; lovely to work with

I found AE when we went to other wedding venues and came across their photos, and I thought they were so beautiful. What initially drew me to them is that they seemed to be comfortable shooting outdoors, and with our wedding being an outdoor wedding, I knew I needed someone who would be able to capture the space. And they did, beautifully. Ashley, our lead photographer, took our engagement photos and they turned out beautifully; so much so that my boss saw a photo at work and asked who the attractive couple was in that photo! (I let her know we have a really good photographer!) On the day of the wedding, Ashley took great control and worked really well with our videographer, for whom we used a different company. She captured these great “in between” moments, as did her second, who took photos of the groomsmen. Ashley also checked in with me when we were having an issue with a pushy relative to ensure whether or not I wanted her time spent in that way, which I really appreciated. We just received our photos and I can’t stop looking at them, they are so gorgeous. Their coordinator, Cindy, is great as well. Her and I went through their photo form, which ensured that I would get the photos that I wanted and none of the ones I didn’t. Cindy is also so great about returning correspondence, and setting up meetings which seems small, but when you’re staring down the barrel of a big wedding, a simple returned email can be so relieving. Highly recommend Artisan Events!

Such beautiful photos and video (and a wonderful time taking them!)

We used Artisan Events for our sangeet and wedding. It's hard to describe how happy we were with that choice. The photography (AJ and John at the wedding, Christine at the sangeet) was so beautifully done, capturing us (and our family & friends) in ways that were simultaneously totally natural but also reflected the special nature of the day and ceremony. We can't stop looking at them. Same goes for the highlight video, which we've been re-watching more or less constantly. And, almost as important, everyone we worked with from Artisan was so skillful at making what could be a bit of an overwhelming two days feel calm and joyous. My wife and I never needed to worry about anything, and we actually just had so much fun doing the photographs. A special shout-out to AJ here who, besides being a real artist, was so good at keeping us calm and continuously in the (very happy!) present throughout the day and evening.

The best from start to finish!!

Artisan has been AMAZING to work with!! I knew that have a great photographer was important for our wedding and Lexi and John were amazing!!!! I never thought I would have such stunning wedding photos because I usually hate taking pictures. But our photos are STUNNING!! The best part is now that we have these amazing photos we're working with Artisan to put together beautiful albums for us and our parents. From the start of this process to working on the albums Artisan has been the best to work with! I can't recommend them enough!

Easy to work with

We used Artisan Events, and specifically Hanna, for our wedding in September and had a great experience with her and the rest of the Artisan Events team. We had 6 hours of day of photography, which was plenty, and have so many great photographs to choose from. They also were able to provide us with our photos after the wedding day fairly quickly compared to other photographers that we had been choosing between.

They made the day so easy!

Artisan Events did a great job of capturing all the special moments before and during our wedding. The photographer was fantastic and she did a great job getting everyone organized for group pictures, which is no easy task. Loveeeee artisan events

Amanda and the entire team at Artisan Events were beyond incredible to work with. My husband and I were given numerous photographer recommendations very early on in our wedding planning process. No one seemed like a good fit for us. We just aren't the couple who would be draped over a chaise lounge, looking off into the distance. Our wedding planner encouraged us to review Artisan Events' portfolio and I instantly fell in love. The couples looked like REAL people. We wanted photos that captured who we are as a couple. Amanda has the beautiful ability to capture a couple's love and emotions in her photos. Countless photos brought me to tears, as I reminisce on such a memorable day. I always felt comfortable, calm and myself with Amanda behind the lens. The entire team had great ideas on poses, locations, etc. Every detail was thoroughly documented. I am so elated we get to relive our wedding day so vividly when looking at our photos. Artisan Events will certainly continue to be a part of our lives now, and for many years to come.

Great service and great photos

We hired Artisan Events for our wedding photographer. They did an excellent job capturing every moment. As we looked through our pictures my wife and I were very impressed with how many scenes from our wedding they were able to capture. We love our pictures and I would highly recommend using them.

We found Artisan Events through my co-worker's recommendation. My husband and I could not be happier of the decision we made to hire them as our photographer. The service they provided us during our wedding was superb and highly recommendable. Hannah and John were amazing, accommodating

Amazing wedding photography!

My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to go with Artisan Events for our wedding photographers. They made us feel comfortable with the process and answered any and all questions from our first consultation through the album design and ordering process.

First and foremost, we absolutely LOVED our photographers, Hanna and Erika. We didn’t do an engagement shoot with them prior to the wedding, so we were a little nervous about feeling awkward or not meshing with them day of. This was totally not the case though. They made us feel comfortable the whole day and gave us direction while still asking our opinions and making sure they got the shots we wanted. They were also amazing at corralling a semi- rowdy wedding party and keeping everyone in line. It was clear they went above and beyond to get every great shot they could.

We felt confident that we would have great pictures with them, but we were still blown away by the pictures when we got them. They were everything we wanted and more AND they got them back to us super fast. The office staff has also been so helpful in coordinating everything and explaining each step in detail.

Photos are such an important part of a wedding (or at least it was to us) and we are so happy we entrusted Artisan Events with this important task. We love all the pictures we got out of it and will keep them in our lives forever.

Loved using Artisan Events for my recent wedding. I instantly knew I'd want to work with them after my initial consultation at their office. Working with Artisan Events for our wedding photography was super easy and the end results were more than we could have asked for. The entire process of planning the logistics of time and location made us feel at ease, and working with Hanna was a dream come true! She called us prior to the wedding date to discuss our priorities and style, making sure that she had a clear understanding for how we wanted to capture our special day. The day of she was efficient during portraits, came up with fun pose ideas for the entire wedding party, and made sure that me, my groom, wedding party and family had fun and felt comfortable the entire day. She made sure to capture each moment we had outlined in our planning session as well as captured a lot of fun candid moments.

The delivery of our photos was also much quicker than we expected! The photos were edited beautifully and we had more than enough photos to fill our beautiful wedding album. Our wedding was November 11 and Artisan Events made sure that we had access to a few photos just in time to send out Christmas cards to our friends and family! Overall, we were so happy with Artisan Events and Hanna did a phenomenal job of creating a final product that we are eager to decorate our new married home with!

We loved working with Artisan Events for our wedding day! Emily was so organized and was super responsive to all of the (many!) questions I had throughout the process. The day of the wedding, Hanna was super flexible and creative and made sure that we got a huge variety of shots that we love. Our wedding was in December in Chicago, so Hanna made sure our group shots outside were as efficient as possible and the gorgeous pictures made standing in the cold worth every second! We received our edited photos just weeks after the wedding and I can't stop looking at them!

Artisan Events did an amazing job photographing my wedding and I would recommend them to everyone who is in the market for a special events photographer. I initially met with the studio manager to review what I was looking for and to get a feel for the photographers. I chose the photographer whose style I resonated with and from there Emily and I were in touch several times to ensure that all of the moments I wanted to be captured were noted and that we were all set for the wedding. The day of, Christine and Doug did an outstanding job of capturing laughter, tears and precious moments. There aren’t enough great things to say about the Artisan Events team. From our initial consultation meeting to our engagement shoot to the day of the wedding, everything was flawless. Our main photographer was Hanna and we couldn’t have loved her more! She was sweet, knowledgeable, flexible and creative. We always felt comfortable and nothing was forced. On the day of our wedding she really took the lead with us, our family and wedding party. When we received the photos from both the engagement shoot and then the wedding, we couldn’t stop looking at the photos in amazement. We were so beyond thrilled with the quality and quantity! My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Dream Team we developed to help pull-off our wedding day. AJ and Hannah from Artisan Events were part of that team.

We were married on what seemed to be the coldest, rainiest day of the summer on August 4th, 2017 at Hidden Vineyard in SW Michigan. We decided to hire a local Chicago photography team and have them travel to our location knowing that there was some face-to-face meetings both before and after the wedding day. AJ and Hannah arrived promplty and were full of pep and spunk. They had time to walk around the venue to determine what locations would be suitable.

The weather did not deter them nor us. Luckily it was only sprinkling during our "reveal" and "wedding party" photos so we were able to take pictures around the beautiful landscape. Although we had to take the family photos inside, AJ & Hannah were able to locate an area that worked well and provided the rustic barn feeling we were going for. They followed the family photo list but were flexible to make some change. At the end of the evening, the rain stopped and we had a beautiful sunset which our photographers were able to capture brilliantly.

What I especially liked about AJ & Hannah was their diplomacy. They had a way to be nice to our family and friends but at the same time communicate the shot they were looking for (i.e. asking people to move in/out of the photo, how to pose, where to be placed and where to look).

Emily has been fantastic communicating with us both before and after the wedding. She's kept me to task to make sure our photo album is one we are happy with AND actually accomplished. We are really pleased with the production of our photos - they captured what we wanted.

In 20/20 hindsight, I would hire Artisan Events again without any reservation.

I cannot say enough how much I loved working with Artisan Events. Not only were AJ and Jon good listeners, organized and focused; they were FUN! My bridal party kept saying how much they enjoyed the photo sessions (which no one every says). But most importantly, the photos the took were absolutely breathtaking. They somehow captured EVERY moment beautifully. I mean seriously, I'm not sure if they even went to the bathroom all night! My wife and I had lots of options when it came deciding on a photographer for our wedding last fall. We chose Artisan because of the team there. Every step of the way, AJ offered great advice and suggestions on how to get the perfect photos of our wedding while working with our budget. Artisan Events provided everything that we had hoped for from our wedding photos and more. Our lead photographer Christine was extraordinarily skilled in helping us understand the process and making us feel comfortable at all points. She spent the time to really get to know us as a couple beforehand and learned about our ideal vision for our day. The photos from our wedding are truly unique and we are so excited to showcase them in our new house. We used Artisan Events for our wedding this past September - primarily because of the fantastic experience we had when we met AJ! She was fantastic from the start. Along with our package, they included a free 'engagement session', which my husband and I were initially skeptical of. We aren't big photo people, so we were a bit anxious, but this was a fantastic decision. We got to work with AJ months in advance, and really felt comfortable with her, which made the actual wedding day go so smoothly. Day-of, I was pretty nervous, but as soon as AJ and her assistant (Emily) arrived, things went smoothly from there. No need for a day-of planner when you have AJ and team moving you along! The photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I cannot say it enough. They captured every moment so well, and were fun to work with to boot!
Post wedding - we met for our album review, which went swimmingly. We had no idea where to even begin, but they put together a fantastic template for us, and quickly moved from there.
Overall, I'd recommend AJ and Artisan Events to everyone and anyone in need of beautiful, professional, and fun photos!

We had an amazing experience working with AJ and Hannah from Artisan Events. From the first meeting with AJ we knew that she was the perfect photographer to capture our big day. AJ was very personable and down to earth. She spent a lot of time getting to know us as a couple so that she could capture all of our special moments on our wedding day. On the actual wedding day I felt extremely comfortable with AJ and her assistant Hannah guiding us through all of our special moments, especially our first look. I also appreciated the amount of photos that were taken. We have so many amazing photos to choose from that we really felt like every special moment was captured. In addition, I loved the flexibility that was provided on the wedding day. We asked the photographers to stay an extra half hour and they were more than happy to do so. All in all, they were worth every penny!! I loved every photograph that was taken and we are beyond happy that AJ and Hannah did such a fabulous job helping us document our wedding day!!

We found Artisan Events through a referral by our wedding venue. We were planning a wedding from across the country and we had to have someone who was willing to work with us from a distance and of course, take beautiful photographs. We could not be more happy with our wedding pictures! They are absolutely stunning and we have gotten so many compliments on how well the day was captured! We are in the middle of planning an album with Artisan Events to remember our special day, and it's been so difficult to chose because all of our photos are THAT good. The photographers that we had made the process so seamless for us on the day of. They were polite, professional and have such an artistic eye. I cannot recommend them enough for any event that you might have planned.

Artisan Events was recommended to us by our wedding planner, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our decision to use them as our photographer. They are extremely professional and return e-mails/calls in a timely manner. Christine and Hannah were very organized while trying to capture all of our desired portraits the day of our wedding, and we managed to get them all! Artisan Events were really great to work with. We had a June 2016 wedding so we went looking for our photographer around December 2015 and got an end of the year deal which included a free engagement session. Artisan had several different packages and tiers of experienced photographers available and although we went with a less expensive option we never would have known it otherwise.

AJ, and assistant photographer Emily were incredibly professional, and had a wonderful eye. AJ is also Artisan's office manager and was easy to get in touch with and coordinate with prior to the wedding day, super knowledgeable and friendly, great to work with during our engagement session and on our wedding day, and through the whole process was very interested in making everything exactly the way we wanted it, while still offering helpful suggestions when we needed some extra input about good locations, times, permits required etc.

After the wedding, we received our photographs digitally while we were still on our honeymoon and they were absolutely stunning and beyond what we had hoped for. We are finalizing the hard copy wedding album, which we including in our contract, and it looks like it will be a great keepsake.

We had a fantastic time working with Artisan Events and AJ, and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Artisan Events is an amazing photography studio full of talented artists! We worked with AJ and Tim, and they were phenomenal. We couldn't have asked for a better shooting team. Our photos are stunning and we received proofs a week and a half after our wedding!!! I loved working with the entire Artisan crew. Amanda was so professional and easy going when we met to talk about packages. There is no pressure--just common sense wedding packages. AJ and Jung were are amazing photographers during our all day wedding. AJ will also double as a therapist--and trust me you need someone who can help you relax that day! My loving groom forgot the rings and she helped me stay calm while the ceremony was delayed by 30 minutes. =) AJ and Jung were patient with my family and got great candid shots that captured the feel of the wedding. I love Artisan because you get the security of a large company but with the caring attention-to-detail only a talented photographers can provide. I can't wait to make what I know will be a gorgeous album!

Tony and AJ were our photographers this past September at the Morton Arboretum. They made the entire process very easy and were extremely responsive every step of the way. I absolutely love our photos and my mom can't stop raving about them.

We have been working with Tina and Amanda and it has been such a treat! Tina shot the day. We met with Tina a few months before the wedding and when we told her what we were looking for she instantly understood what we were going for - a little bit artistic, but with a heavy focus on trying to capture the emotions of the day. They coordinated the details with my wedding coordinator and so I didn't hear from them until Tina showed up at my house on my wedding day - completely stress free! Tina was so un-intrusive, I didn't even know she was already at my house and taking photos! The photos at the church were unbelievable. Then we when to the country club to take bridal party pictures outside. Other vendors were trying to talk to me and get in the mix, Tina jumped in and made sure that they left me alone to enjoy the moment with my husband. Since the wedding day, I've been working with Amanda and Tina to put the photo book together. They are so prompt and efficient, it's amazing! I cannot wait to see the finished product!!

Our Artisan photographers wer great!!! Jon and Tony were always there to get the shots, but were also great at letting events unfold. Jon also got my sometimes-unruly in-laws organized for formal portraits quickly and painlessly. :) Tina at Artisan was also key in making sure we got our shot list organized in advance so we could relax and know we were covered on the day of the wedding. Most importantly, I KNOW we got some amazing pictures, and I can't wait to put together the album!

The Artisan Events team is amazing! We used Tim, Michelle and Amanda. It rained on my wedding day, but the photographers had called prior to the wedding day to set up a "Plan B" if it rained. The pictures were beautiful, I recieved so many compliments on them!! I trusted them completely with all the decisions relating the to locations etc. and was not let down at all! I highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. After the wedding, they were just as helpful with the wedding album! They took time to have calls with me (I lived out of town) to go through all the options for the album. I just wish I had done my engagement pictures with them!!

We used Artisan Events for our fall 2004 wedding in downtown Chicago and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Amanda and the entire Artisan team provide extremely professional service and their photo-journalistic photography is unique and absolutely stunning. I knew the minute I saw their work that I wanted Artisan to shoot my wedding. They are able to capture moments and details in a way that is unexpected and very distinct, not to mention visually stunning. As a designer, I have high aesthetic standards, and Artisan exceeded my expectations with the photos they produced. I am proud of the coffee table book album we purchased and show it off to everyone - we even ordered miniature copies for both of our families, which they were tickled with. Artisan Events is a gem and I would recommend them to anyone!

AMAZING. DO IT, JUST DO IT. My husband and I worked with AJ for our engagement and wedding photos and they are unbelievable. Not only was the final product more than we could have hoped for, she was a great director the day of, making sure the bridal party was sticking to our timeline and looking at her cameras, not the random iphone takers on the street. First heard of Artisan Events when my daughter was planning her wedding in 2002. She had researched photographers both in Chicago and Western suburbs. We checked out several, but knew at once that Artisan was the photographer for us. Amanda, the owner impressed us from the start. She emailed my daughter to make sure her directions to her studio were clear. She met us outside of her studio to greet us. After asking us what type of photography we were looking for, she shared several books containing her photographs with us. They were truly amazing. Amanda provided 3 photographers on the day of the wedding who never were in the way, yet captured every moment perfectly. The entire experience we had with Amanda and her photographers was exceptional. When the proofs came in, it was extremely difficult to chose which ones to put in the album both for Katie, the birde and myself. Amanda was there to help and guide and I can only say, BRAVO....Both the wedding and parent album are beautiful and unique in their own way.
Since we had such a wonderful experience we recommended Amanda and her studio to other friends and family. They too were impressed and used the studio and were equally impressed and pleased. Several of my duaghter's friends used other photographers and were not impressed at all. They were sorry they did not use Artisan Events. I can truly say that Artisan Events made our "Special Day" that much more special with how they photographed the day. I highly recommend this studio....You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful wedding photographers!

We used Artisan Events after getting them as a recommendation from friends and they were wonderful to work with! We worked with John for our engagement photos and then he teamed up with Erika for our wedding. They were an amazing team to calm nerves and make sure what we spoke about during the planning process came to life.

I appreciated the fact they have a streamlined planning process - a document will be shared with you months out from the wedding that you fill it out as an overview of what you want and it helped ensure nothing was forgotten or misunderstood.

There were little moments during the wedding day I was so grateful for them (e.g. definitely left without my bouquet and John suggested I might want it :)) where they do a little extra or coaching to keep things moving. We joked that Erika was our MVP - every time we stopped for photos she had some new amazing angle she planned to get by scaling a wall, climbing a tree, etc.! Our photos were turned around really quickly and are exactly what we hoped for. Definitely would recommend!

Highlight of our wedding!

Working with Artisan Events was truly one of the highlights of our wedding! Artisan Events was a joy to work with. They are led by one of the top 20 photographers in the U.S., Amanda Sudimack. They were on the pricier side of our budget (around $5000 including 10hrs of 2 photographers, the album, digital copies) but I would recommend them again in a heartbeat. Below are some reasons why:

1) EVERY SINGLE PHOTO they took (around 1000 photos) was thoughtful, well executed, and made the bride/groom/friends/family all look like we were MOVIE STARS that belonged in a bridal magazine (we're not normally very photogenic!). With Artisan Events, you don’t have to wonder…”How will my wedding photos turn out?”

2) Photos with Artisan Events are EFFORTLESS—they go above and beyond to do the WORK so that you can focus on ENJOYING YOUR WEDDING, being with your (new) husband/wife, socializing with guests, eating, and drinking.
These are some things our photographers, HANNAH AND JOHN, did on our wedding day:
- Scouted out the venue for good photo spots
- Told us if we looked awkward, and how to change that
- Brought clear umbrellas since it was rainy

In conclusion, I’m SO GLAD we picked Artisan Events because they're experienced, world-class professionals who helped everything, including the rehearsal dinner & wedding day itself, go smoothly. Yes, this was expensive, but in return, they gave us around 1000 PERFECT PHOTOS for us to reminisce spending the day surrounded by our favorite people and marrying each other.

Booking a photographer was one of my top priorities when planning my September 2017 wedding and Artisan Events did not disappoint! We worked with AJ for our engagement session and wedding day and cannot believe what a wonderful job she did! She made my husband and I feel as comfortable and natural as possible. On our wedding day, AJ, Lexi, and Kim were all amazing to work with. I did not have a wedding planner and AJ practically doubled as a day-of coordinator! She was a calming presence for me and made sure everyone was on schedule the entire day, even when we jam-packed the portrait session with three different locations and a large bridal party. More importantly, the photos she and the AE team delivered are so stunning and special to us. They were able to capture candid moments and details I wasn't even aware of. The only reason I didn't give them all 5's is because I don't believe the base wedding album that's included in the package is worth the value. If you're looking for a talented team of true professionals, we highly recommend Artisan Events!

AJ and Hannah were fantastic! Our pictures were so much better than we ever dreamed. They were also so quick with turn around - especially compared to many of our other friends' photographers. I would highly, highly recommend working with them.

We worked with AJ, and she was fantastic! She was so incredibly fun to work with, both in pre-wedding meetings and on the day of, and she made both me and my now-husband feel very at ease. The photos turned out beautifully, and the album design process has been easy as well.

I'd highly recommend Artisan Events, and especially AJ!

I had a fantastic experience working with Artisan events. Tim was my photographer and I could not have been happier with my wedding photos! The photos are timeless and truely encapsulate the mood of my wedding.

MOTB perspective: We used Artisan Events as the photographers for my daugher's wedding. She chose a journalistic style, and the photographers did a great job capturing the special moments at each point in time. They were unobtrusive and got great shots - I know since the pix just came in! Over 1,000 of them! There is a mix of color and black/white shots as well as various posed/natural shots. I was pleased to see that they were able to get candids of all the wedding guests - a must for sharing with those guests as well as out-of-town relatives who could not attend.

I had Tim and Amanda as my photographers for my wedding day, and Tim was my photographer for my engagement sessions....My pictures are amazing! They truly are artists, I seriously can't even describe how awesome my wedding pictures are! They were also very organized, responsive, and professional. This company in general was super flexible and extremely fun to work with. They spend a lot of time pre wedding to determine what you like, don't like, what your priorities are for your photography, and your overall style. I definitely recommend them. I did put a 4 for value. . . really only because their albums are pretty expensive...but like another reviewer said, you get what you pay for! Their pictures are amazing, and really are your only keepsake after a wedding, which is why I felt that having really good pictures was worth the price.

Our photographs are beautiful. One of our guests actually sent me a message after the photos were posted online that said, "your photos are some of the best I have ever seen". It was very important to us to have beautiful memories of our wedding day both in our hearts - and on photo paper :) to show people who were not there! However, photography was a large portion of our wedding cost, because it was important to us. I would never say that Artisan Events was a "budget vendor", but, you get what you pay for.

I'm so thankful we chose Artisan Events!! I chose AE after stumbling across them on the Knot. I was immediately drawn to their genuine, photojournalistic photos. They seemed to care about capturing the people and emotion of the wedding day - something that was very important to me! Their editing is not over the top either, which I prefer.
With AE, you have a representative to help match you with a photographer and get all administrative things taken care of. Emily and Cindy both did a great job communicating with us quickly and making the process pleasant.
We ended up going with Lexi as our photographer, who was so fabulous to work with. She took our engagement photos, which turned out so beautifully. She was creative and had many good ideas about different shots to take. She is so talented! Both my fiance and I felt very comfortable with her, and the photos look so natural. On the day of the wedding, she and Tara both provided a cheerful, yet calming presence. They made sure to capture every shot we wanted. And the photos turned out amazingly!! They went above and beyond, and captured unexpected candid shots, such as our guests listening to the speeches. We have priceless pictures of cherished family/guests enjoying the day. You can feel the joy and love of the day when you look at the pictures.

We would highly recommend Artisan Events. Tina and Christine shot the wedding and all the shots were beautiful. Tina spoke with me multiple times before the wedding to walk through the day and get the timing just right. I didn't have a wedding coordinator and she helped me to set the timeline. She knew with the time that we had, which areas in Chicago to get the "around town" shots. They helped us to get a list of shots that we wanted and we did not have that feeling that we missed a photo. They helped to wrangle a huge family for beautiful family portraits. Tina and Christine's pictures turned out perfect. They were so helpful, enthusiastic and nice during the entire day. We could not have been more pleased!

Artisan made the process so simple and stress free. And on the day of the wedding Tina and Tim were so great at handling all the family (and there was a lot of family) and I felt comfortable that my wedding was going to be captured perfectly. And I was right! As a plus sized bride I was worried that I wouldn't like any of my photos (I can be very self critical, especially in photos), but I love all of them! We just got our photos back and they are gorgeous and there wasn't a moment missed. I would HIGHLY recommend artisan

Friendly, Professional, and Organized

We found Artisan Events via a recommendation from our wedding venue and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The office staff was friendly, flexible, professional, and responsive throughout the process. The photos were made available ahead of schedule and, most importantly, are stunning.
Our photographer, John, was everything that we’d hoped for. He managed our challenging photo shoot schedule including our last-minute location addition. He was simultaneously present and unobtrusive at the right moments from the first look through the end of our wedding reception. John managed to capture the natural interactions between us throughout the day. This was important for us because we weren’t interested in high fashion-style self-portraits. Most importantly, he was great with the gaggle of small children in our large family during the family portraits.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Artisan to anyone who is looking for beautifully done photos.

Artisan Events has been an exceptional company to work with, from the one-on-one meetings in their cozy Lincoln Park studio to their personalized planner designed to cover every aspect of our wedding day photo shoot. The two photographers who captured our big day - Christine and Beth - were simply phenomenal. They were great at staging formal group and couple shots and snapping candid moments alike, all while being friendly and unimposing. Our photos were ready within about 2 weeks of our wedding date, neatly assembled in an online gallery that had both client and guest accessibility. The quality of the photos and exhaustiveness of the coverage is where Artisan really shines. Their printed albums are likewise top-of-the-line, and infinitely customizable thanks to their online album-proofing tool. We highly recommend this vendor to couples who want only the best in wedding photography services. They're rockstars all around!

We were so happy with the photography! They made everything about the night look beautiful. We also had 2 photographers which made it easy to cover EVERYTHING. There were virtually no moments that went unphotographed. The only downfall was that we thought the package we purchased included an album, which it did not. The album we want, which was very basic, would cost another $3,500. Something we overlooked in the fine print! However, I would never sacrifice the quality of photos to save a few bucks. We couldn't have asked for 2 better photographers.

I did not want cookie-cutter wedding photos, and I was able to find Artisan Events through our wedding venue's preferred photographers list that was provided. These guys are incredible. We loved how they capture the REALITY of weddings – from happy tears to intricate details and the beautiful architecture of the ceremony and reception space. Artisan Events capture photos that are truly authentic. Since they were listed first on our vendor's preferred photography list, they were extremely familiar with the venue's locations, best spots for photos, how to work with the venue manager, and how to navigate the wedding throughout the day which definitely helped put my mind at ease. The wedding images turned out truly amazing! We can’t wait to see the wedding album once its ready.

We found Artisan Events through an acquaintance whose pictures we loved and taste we trusted. Artisan was on top of their game throughout the entire process and was very put together on the BIG day so we didn't have to be :) We have beautiful pictures that we feel so lucky to have and reflect on the most important day of our lives.

My wife and I used Artisan Events for our wedding, and we just finished designing our wedding album. We are very happy with the results. There were a number of fantastic photos to choose from, including a mix of color and black/white images, as well as various posed/natural shots. And everyone at Artisan Events was very easy to work with throughout the planning process – both before the wedding and after. Artisan Events is certainly are not a “budget” vendor, but here, you get what you pay for.

Artisan Events was recommended to us through our wedding planner, and after evaluating a few photographer options, we selected them. If you live in Chicago, they have a pretty convenient location and their studio is really nice. The wedding albums they provide are also EXCELLENT (there are however some upgrades during the wedding album creation process that would be nice to know on the front end, so be sure to ask a lot of question about that pricing if you’re on a tight budget, but it can all be done at the base price if you are willing to be flexible).

Our lead photographer was AJ, who is very easy to work with and friendly. She is an Associate who did a nice job (the Senior Associates were out of our price range). We weren’t sure who the second shooter would be for our wedding until right before the date, which is something that could be nice to know ahead of time. In the consultation process, they have multiple lead photographers you can choose from depending on their availability, your budget, and if you like a certain photographers “style” more than another.

In terms of the wedding photos themselves, we got some really great pictures that we’re excited about. There were a handful of instances where good pictures were taken with so-so backgrounds which somewhat spoiled the photo, but they can touchup many things at your request. Hope this helps! Thanks

Yatzik was our photographer. He took great photos. I marked them low on professionalism because his assistant was way underdressed for being at a formal wedding. (she wore a cami) It was pretty expensive, but probably worth it.
