LOVED our ceremony on 10.8.23!
My husband and I loved our experience with the Maitland Art & History Center! It is such a beautiful, unique experience. We just did the ceremony in the Mayan Chapel and it was wonderful. Paola was so easy to work with, quick to communicate, and helpful with any questions. There isn't a location on site to get ready, so just know that you'll have to get and Air BnB or a hotel, but it's such a unique setting and it's so worth it. We had a 35 person wedding with guests coming from all over, and they were all in awe. I highly recommend a wedding at the MAC!

Beautiful and Unique
My husband and I hosted our March 2023 wedding at The Art & History Museums of Maitland, and cannot say enough good things about the entire property. We fell in love with the venue the second we set foot in the Main Garden during our first tour, and feel truly lucky that we were able to host such a beautiful, personal ceremony right in front of the lily pond. Our cocktail hour, which took place in the Mayan Courtyard and the West Garden, was spectacular. Lastly, our guests absolutely loved dancing under twinkle lights in the Rotary Event Plaza. This venue is truly special and represented everything we wanted out of a wedding. Paola was a joy to work with and helped to ensure our day was a success from start to finish. I highly recommend the Art & History Museums if you're looking for a beautiful, unique event space.

The Perfect & Most Magical of Locations
The Art & History Museum of Maitland was the absolute most breathtaking location we found. We wanted something special and unique that didn't feel like we were in Florida (or even America). When we saw this location in person, it was magical. After taking a tour and learning the history, we were sold immediately.
We were able to use the entire location for our event that day, and had our ceremony in the chapel, wine reception in the courtyard, and the rest of the grounds for pictures. This location proves to be unbeatable for romance and is captured in all the pictures we took. Many if our guests had never been here before, and were just as then aback by the beauty as we were. Truly perfection in our opinion!!
The communication with Paola was great, and it was such a wonderful working relationship. She's ver timely with responding to email, and will always be there to answer any questions you may have.
The ONLY not perfect thing we would say is that you should be aware you are restricted to a preferred catering and rental list. We say this only because we were looking for something specific and pretty personal for food that we knew we could've arranged with a different budget than the preferred caterer we ended up using (though I must admit they also did a wonderful job), and the chair / table rental option was only one company, so no real way to price compare.
However, we understand that this location is a historical one, and they request these vendors with the knowledge that they will respect the grounds and are trustworthy to keep it safe and clean. We respect that entirely.
Again, it was the perfect place for our wedding. Nothing could have beat the experience we and our guests had here, and would recommend it to EVERYONE!

Excellent Experience for Micro Wedding
The staff at the Art & History Museum of Maitland was so professional when it came to planning our micro wedding. We used the Mayan Courtyard for our ceremony and did formal photos all around the museum grounds. It was absolutely amazing and all of our guests loved the location and experience. It was super cost effective and Paola at the venue was very quick to respond and answer any questions/concerns we had. We definitely recommend this venue to everyone.

Perfect !!!
The venue was everything I imagined for my elopement. Plenty of photographable spots. During the ceremony the sun was shining on the alter but my only option was to do it in the morning in august so not much I could do there! The pictures were still amazing. It was perfectly private and when I got there I just walked right into the venue and had the time slot to myself without interruptions.

The Best Small Wedding Venue Ever!
We recently held our destination 40th anniversary vow renewal at The Art and History Museums – Maitland using their Mayan Chapel and Courtyard facility. I selected the facility during COVID. Honestly, from the second I saw the courtyard I felt so grateful to find such a treasure. The Mayan Chapel and Courtyard is one of the most beautiful settings you can select for a small gathering. It was so lush and peaceful with wonderfully ornate structures. I really felt like we were transported to a different period in time.
We arrived to find everything set up beautifully. A smile came to my face as I was warmly welcomed by our assigned contact who said we could easily reach her for anything else we needed. As we were about to start the ceremony, a heavy downpour ensued with occasional claps of thunder. The small chapel provided us refuge so our event could take place in the timeframe planned. I have to say that the chapel felt grounded and strong as it protected us from the elements. The rain provided a soothing backdrop as Rev Kevin Knox presided over our ceremony. I had enlisted a harpist, Christine, who provided peaceful music in the background during the ceremony. Our wonderful photographer captured the most stunning images of the event. The entire event was simply beautiful and touching, serene and uplifting.
After the storm passed, we were able to go out into the courtyard and have the most spectacular photographs taken. The ornate grey walls really complimented my white dress and my husband’s grey suit and pink tie.
I have to say, that the Art and History Museums – Maitland was a dream to work with. They communicated in a very timely fashion and we able to answer any questions we had. They did not rush us through the ceremony and were available to help with any requests we had. They worked very well with our harpist, photographer and minister, so planning the event was exceptionally smooth. There was no stress and everything turned out perfectly!
If you are looking for a spectacular venue, with delightful people to work with, I highly suggest you select Art and History Museums - Maitland. You will be so glad you did!

Perfect for our Wedding and Reception!
We rented The Cottage at Lake Lily. This venue is small and usually used for wedding and baby showers or a bridal room for weddings at the larger venue. We had a very intimate ceremony and reception in the space and it was absolutely perfect!! The attendant was accommodating to assist us in rearranging the tables in the room when we got there. She checked on us every hour to make sure we didn’t need anything.
We did all the decorations ourselves and the space has some small cork boards to hang decorations.
Outside was perfect for some beautiful photos.
I couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

Amazing location!
I can't rave enough about Sarah and her team at Maitland! Not only were they very economically priced, you can't find a better location for photos. Sarah was also willing to work with us when our wedding date was pushed back due to Covid. Oh, AND Sarah went to bat for us when we were having issues with our caterer. Thanks bunches!!!

An absolute dream come true!
Sarah at A&H is the best, she really worked with us to make sure everything was perfect for our ceremony. She even provided tables and chairs for my bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready in which was so nice. The location is lake a real life fairytale with its beauty that you don’t even need decorations, because the scenery is breathtaking! We also got access to take pictures all over the campus after the wedding which for the price you just can’t beat!

Magical, romantic and timeless
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. I urge you to take a tour and see it for yourself, it absolutely took our breath away and was the perfect choice for our big day! The staff are wonderful to work with and give a great list of recommendations for vendors. Keep in mind because its a historic place you are required to use certain vendors, like OWPR for our lights and rentals for example. Overall, would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

2•17•20 Wedding
I had visited this venue before I got engaged just to check out the art and fell in love with it. When I was looking for venues, I didn't realize that the Maitland Art Center was even an option. It was the first and only venue we looked at! It's GORGEOUS. I loved the history associated with the venue, and the garden is outstanding. I originally booked the venue with Kelly, and she was so kind and helpful. She sent me recommendations for vendors that really helped, and offered her office as a dressing room for my bridal party and I on the day of. Kelly ended up leaving about 4 months before my wedding, and put me in contact with the new events coordinator Sarah. Sarah was so nice and assured me that everything would be perfect on the day of. She was right! Everything ran smoothly, and I couldn't have been happier with the venue and their staff.

Maitland fairytale
I cannot express how beautiful and perfect our wedding was! This venue was just a fairytale. The Garden where we had our ceremony was quiet and so romantic. We we’re going to have the reception in the Mayan Courtyard but weather did not permit this but the back up; Germain Building was absolutely perfect.

Perfect garden party venue
We had our wedding here in the spring, and this venue is absolutely gorgeous! It’s a perfect balance of a cozy garden setting and beautiful architecture which makes this a uniquely special place. The grounds are kept up very nicely. There was plenty of space to work with in the area in front of the pond where the ceremony took place. Everything was seamless between the A&H and our wedding planner. This was the perfect hidden gem for our garden party wedding!

Gorgeous place, amazing staff and stress free process!
This place is insane. I live less than 5 minutes from it and it was the first venue I checked when we were looking around. And last. I left the place on my phone cancelling all the other appointments because as soon as we walked in, we knew that we wanted to get married there. An incredible an magical atmosphere. Then we met Kelly and she exceeded our expectations from day one to even after our wedding day. She showed us around, gave us many options (prices are GREAT!) and followed up with us all the way. We also booked the Cottage for me to get ready and it was so beautiful and delicate - and Kelly was there when we arrived, and when we were leaving for the ceremony. Some unexpected rain also arrived with me, punctually at the exact same time as the ceremony as about to start (!!!!). Kelly and all their preferred vendors were honestly AMAZING with moving us to the GM building (our plan B) and making sure everything was good to go - that made a whole difference for me, that was in a car, ready to get married and having to deal with that all last minute. They were so great that I had nothing to worry about. Their flexibility is also great, because since we didn´t get to experience our wedding at the Chapel like we dreamed of, they offered for us to go back another time with our photographer to have a session free of charge and keep those memories forever. We had a great experience, I will never forget this place, Kelly and all the vendors that worked with us. Don´t get worried if you don´t know them - A&H staff has hand picked great vendors that will make it all super stress free and have great quality/prices as well. If i could give even more stars, I would.

A dream venue and team
Kelly and the team at the MAC were amazing to work with. We decided to plan our wedding there from across the country and with very short notice. Kelly walked us through everything we needed to know and was present and supportive through the entire process. She recommended other amazing vendors, was there for our rehearsal, and was always professional and kind. What a gem!
There aren’t enough words to describe how beautiful the venue is. Our small wedding took place in the Mayan Chapel, and I received countless compliments from our guests on what a gorgeous place we’d found. You really feel like you’ve stepped into another world. I didn’t need to worry about additional décor for the ceremony because the setting was already so romantic and picture perfect. The rental manager Kelly is a godsend- she was absolutely incredible to work with. She was prompt in all communication and happy to answer any and all questions that we had. I felt very reassured knowing that she was there if we needed anything. We are so glad that we chose to have our ceremony at the Maitland Art & History Museums.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful the space is. The cross was everything! So many beautiful and intricate details. I live in CT so the palm trees, flowers, and birds chirping made it even more special. It was perfect for my intimate ceremony. The staff were so friendly. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem.

More perfect than imagined!
When we first visited the Mayan Chapel & Courtyard as a potential wedding venue, it just felt right. There is something magical about the space, even as is. Once it was filled with our family and friends and decorations, it was more perfect than I had imagined it turning out! The space is ideal for a smaller, intimate wedding. Every one of our guests was awed by the venue when they finally saw it in person. As I was planning from afar, Kelly was an amazing help. She checked in throughout the process, was quick to respond to all of my questions and had great suggestions. The rental fee was reasonable and our deposit was returned timely.

Wedding February 16
We got held our wedding ceremony in the chapel and our reception in the Mayan courtyard. All 43 of our guests agreed that this venue was absolutely beautiful! All of the Mayan details and trees (especially the giant oak tree) made for a stunning place to get married! I would highly recommend getting married here, a lot of bang for your buck. The weather in February was perfect - overcast and 70 degrees. Thank you for the amazing night Maitland Art Center!

Our daughter's wedding at the Maitland Art & History Museums turned out wonderfully! Kelli responded quickly to our every concern, and recommended other vendors who helped to make the entire wedding planning experience much less stressful. The venue is beautiful and original, from the Mayan-themed chapel and courtyard to the Germaine Marvel Building. It was easy for our guests to get there and to park, while being close to both downtown Winter Park and downtown Orlando. No regrets about our choice!

The Maitland Art Center was the perfect venue for us! Not only were we able to have our ceremony and reception in the same geographic location, but we were able to take beautiful pictures at one of Orlando's historic landmarks. Kelly, our event correspondent, was extremely responsive and went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed on our special day.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. The stonework is beautiful & the plants and flowers compliment the stone with bursts of color and life. We were fortunate to have perfect weather for our wedding day. We are from out of state, with half of the family coming from Texas and the other from Pennsylvania and every one of them commented on how beautiful the venue was. Our contact for renting the space was also incredibly helpful and assisted us with recommendations for florists and rental companies, both of whom were fantastic. If you think the pictures online are beautiful, just wait until you see it in person!

A natural beauty
This venue is BEAUTIFUL! It is so unique and fit our bohemian theme perfectly. It has so much natural beauty with an artistic feel. We needed very little decorating which is a main reason I chose the venue. It fit our guests easily for our intimate ceremony in the chapel with no problem. The price was pretty good and Kelly was even better. She kept up with me for months checking in if I needed anything and simply seeing how the process was going. She answered so many questions for me and was never anything but a sweetheart and happily accommodating. She checked in on us during the rehearsal and that was so memorable to me because I didn't expect it. She made sure the facility was well maintained for our special day. New flowers had been put in since the last time I saw the venue and signs were put out to guide parking. Such a mesmerizing place to have your wedding and to be able to go visit.

The Maitland Art and History Museum was a wonderful place for my wedding on Sept. 29th! The Mayan Courtyard was visually stunning and the rental manager was diligent and attentive to ensure that our wedding day went off without any issues! I recently got married at the Maitland Art Center on June 3rd. I cannot recommend them enough!! Kelly was an absolute joy to work with, and when we had complications with the rental company, she went above and beyond to fix it and make sure I was completely happy! The only issue was that there was some miscommunication for the set up of the ceremony. There was not enough space between our chairs and the walls, so my parents had to scramble to make things right. Even so, there wasn't enough space, so my dad had to walk backwards up the aisle after walking my mom down, ruining a few photos. I was absolutely unaware of any of this day of though! lol The entire space, including the wonderful Cottage at Lake Lily, was absolutely gorgeous and I'm so happy we went with the Art Center!

This is such a beautiful place to get married. My husband and I just got married on May 11th. The scenery is PERFECT for pictures (especially the garden) Kelly, the rental manager, was absolutely amazing for the months leading up to and on the big day. She went above and beyond to ensure my day was perfect and really helped me throughout the whole wedding process! I would recommend this venue again and again, whether it be for a wedding, a party, or even just to venture out to and enjoy all of the beautiful scenery. I will definitely be visiting again!!

The Mayan Chapel and Courtyard was our dream venue! When I show people photos from our wedding they can’t believe we were in the Orlando area. Kelly was amazing to work with. We checked out other venues originally because the Mayan Chapel originally had a hold on it for our date and I couldn’t believe how difficult or unprofessional the other venue coordinators we met with were! When Kelly reached out to tell us the Mayan Chapel became available we were so excited but I was put even more at ease for my big day when we met Kelly and she was so sweet and accommodating. Let me tell you, when I first started planning my wedding, I was on a tight budget. I literally typed into Google 'cheap wedding venues in Florida' not expecting much. The Maitland Art Center was beyond everything I could have hoped for. They were very affordable and a complete hidden gem! The entire venue is absolutely gorgeous. Their Rental Manager, Kelly, was extremely professional and patient. I swear I asked her the same question a million times (sorry about that!), and she was always so nice in her reply.
I'm so happy we got married here and would advise anyone looking at venues to take a tour of the venue. You will not be disappointed.

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Maitland Art Center. The setting was perfect for us. It's a beautiful outdoor location. Pictures don't even do it justice. We had a lot of family come up from south Florida and around the country and they couldn't believe that they didn't know about the Maitland Art Center sooner. Kelly was incredibly helpful, prompt, and super sweet throughout the whole process of planning our wedding. I couldn't have asked for someone better to work with at MAC.

The Maitland Art Center is absolutely stunning! There is no other location in the Orlando area like it. I was born in Honduras and this venue reminds me of the Mayan ruins back home. I had no idea this place existed until I started doing venue research.... it is a hidden gem! We had our ceremony and reception at the Mayan chapel and courtyard. We also used the garden for our first look pictures and video. All the guest loved the location and can not stop talking about it. I want to add that Kelly at the Maitland Art Center was extremely nice and easy to work with. She always answered emails and calls in a timely manner.

Kelly and her team at A&H Maitland were phenomenal to work with. We planned our Orlando area wedding from New Jersey and were unable to travel down to the area before our November wedding. Kelly was more than happy to point us to some great pictures of the venue and answer all of our questions as often as we asked. The week of our wedding, Kelly fit us into her schedule to view the venue in person and continue to answer any questions we had. The Main Garden is gorgeous - the pictures we saw online don't even do it justice. It is stunning in person. The flowers, trees, pond and architecture are so unique and we haven't stopped hearing about it from our guests. Kelly and her team were so accommodating and helpful with our vendors and even helped us coordinate the wedding party's photo shoot on their grounds. We can't say enough about how beautiful this space is and how professional their staff are. I would recommend this venue for anyone looking to hold a special event in a stunning space and not break the bank either.

My wife and I planned our wedding from another state over about a year and Kelly and her team at M.A.C. made everything a breeze. We were able to meet with her whenever we happened to be in town and if she wasn't available, the venue is open to the public most days so you can walk through and plan without any assistance. She was always very quick to answer any and all questions we had and kept us informed about any repairs that they needed to do post hurricane Irma, which were really up to the city of Maitland proper but she made sure we were constantly in the loop. She was even kind enough to keep us penciled in for an indoor space they have in case it rained and made sure that nobody else could rent it without consulting us first.
The venue itself is beautiful and well kept, with very clean facilities and plenty of space/ options to choose from. We ended up renting the Mayan Courtyard for our ceremony, the chapel for our cocktail hour, and the main garden for our reception. All three spaces are absolutely stunning and don't even require much additional decorating, which is great if you're on a tight budget. Not to mention, all three spaces are extremely affordable compared to all the other places we looked at.
They do have an "approved vendor list" though and if you do stray from that list (i.e. Catering or decoration/ equipment rentals), there might be a small fee. This is mostly because it's a historical landmark and they try their best to preserve it. In the end, we chose most of our vendors from that list and they all did an amazing job.
This is definitely a hidden gem in the orlando area to host a wonderful wedding at. I highly recommend it.

My wedding was held at Maitland Art Center's Mayan Chapel and courtyard. The place was stunning! Kelly was super helpful and friendly and answered every single question I had For months leading up to my day. I also rented their Cottage at Laje Lily as a bridalsuite to get ready. My only suggestion would be that they space out rentals a bit because we ran a little late getting ready and had to rush out since another party was scheduled right after ours. I would've gladly paid for more time but it wasn't an option since scheduling was tight. Other than that everything was perfect and I truely appreciate this place for its unique beauty and the helpful staff that work there.

Kelly was a joy to work with and made accomodations to allow my husband to set up our wedding arch a little bit before our start time, which really alleviated a lot of pressure for him on the wedding day. The venue was absolutely beautiful and I would recommend to anyone to get married there. We got married on the garden side, which was serene and peaceful and the perfect size for the 75 guests in attendance. We also rented the Mayan side for an hour for our photos, which had the most beautiful lighting! I highly recommend that to all brides. Take your photos over there...they are so pretty!

If I could repeat that day, I'd choose Maitland Art & History Museum all over again... it was perfect! The atmosphere of the venue, along with the perfect weather made that night amazing. Kelly helped us every step of the way, answering promptly all of our many questions! They were super flexible and accommodating, and they worked with us even through wedding frenzy! The price was fair, and the natural beauty of the venue made decorating simple and easy! I definitely recommend this place to all couples who like the rustic, art-feel, natural & raw beauty. You won't regret it!

This venue had everything Joseph and I were looking for: an outdoor space that would be easily accessible for our friends and family, rich in history, and prominently spiritual. We chose the Chapel & Mayan Courtyard at the Maitland Art & History Museums within days of visiting; something just felt right from the moment we stepped in. Their pricing was also incredibly reasonable compared to other outdoor venues that we had researched. This place books fast, we booked 10 months before our wedding and all of the 8 Saturdays we had to choose from were taken so we settled for a Friday (which was actually great, as your wedding guests don't have to rush home the next day). Now to be frank, the first person we had made an appointment with was less than professional, but within a few weeks a new person swept in like an angel and went above and beyond. Kelly Young was so attentive to our needs, so quick at communications, always checked up on us, and honestly was the BEST person we dealt with out of all of our wedding vendors. She was available whenever we needed to bring other vendors to the venue, like when our tent & chair rental company had to do an entire mock set-up to make sure the tent and amount of chairs we would need could fit. She let us have all the time & attention we needed to make this day so special, and we are so grateful to the Maitland Art & History Museums and Kelly Young for making it the most memorable day of our lives. It was truly magical, and we made the perfect venue selection.

I knew when researching venues that the Germaine Marvel Building & Rotary Plaza were where I wanted to get married, but meeting with Kelly and touring the venue sealed the deal! Kelly was extremely detailed and responsive to all of my questions before and after booking and personally made sure my requests were taken care of. Only thing to be aware of is that set up, event time, and break down must be included in rental hours - meaning, we had to set up, get cleaned up, get married, and break down all in one day instead of the night before or coming back the morning after. I'm sure you could rent for additional times but there were other events the day before. Otherwise, it was picture perfect and wonderful! We had about 70 guests for the ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors, and they loved being able to mill around the park nearby (which we had also rented for $250 through the City of Maitland). We also took pictures in the Mayan Chapel that were just stunning. Highly recommend!

This place is just awesome words can not describe how beautiful our wedding turn out. The venue was perfect for our needs of a small cozy out of a box wedding. we enjoyed it with are family and friends, Thanks again Kelly and the Maitland Art Museum Team!!!

Kelly was great, she was always so nice and so helpful! Just a really nice lady and you could tell she genuinely cared about helping answer making your big day great! She always answered me back right away and answered every question I had! Definitely a great place to book your wedding. On top of all that the place is just gorgeous! Such a pretty place and every part of it was perfect and the pictures were awesome! It was such a beautiful unique historic place! Best experience ever!

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here and it as absolutely beautiful! The staff at the Art and History Museums were a pleasure to work with. We held our wedding ceremony in the Mayan Courtyard and our reception outdoors at the Rotary Plaza on side with the Germaine Marvel Building. We had perfect weather to host both the reception and ceremony outdoors but liked that we had the Germaine Marvel Building as a back up in case of the rain. One of the biggest selling features of this location is that you can bring in all of your own vendors and you can bring in your own alcohol and hire bartenders which helps to cut costs. Overall this is a very romantic location to host a small to medium size wedding ceremony and reception.

The Germaine Marvel Building was perfect for our daughter's wedding reception with 70 guests. There is ample space for mingling, dinner tables, and a dance area. We really utilized the L shape of the building to specifically use each space. Also, since it is an art center and you aren't permitted to place decorations on the walls, we found up lighting to be the perfect answer. That combined with the photo opportunities under the oak tree on the lawn right out the front doors was the perfect photo venue for the occasion! And Kelly was so helpful throughout the entire process, we could not be happier with the outcome! (Reception Venue only)

This is a beautiful, unique venue that is PERFECT for an intimate wedding. I was married here on October 20,2016 and my wedding day was absolutely breath-taking. It's like stepping into a little secret piece of heaven that has been wonderfully kept secret right in the middle of Winter Park/Maitland. My guests could not stop gushing over how stunning all of the stonework was and how magical the venue felt.
I was apprehensive at first in choosing the Maitland art center only because of space issues - it is very small. But I kept my guest count around 45 people with the bridal party included in the Mayan chapel in the Mayan courtyard were perfect!
I liked the Maitland art center and especially the chapel and courtyard because I always wanted to get married outdoors and somewhere historic, but a lot of other venues came with a very hefty price tag for what I wanted.
All of my emails were answered promptly, as where my phone calls. (I sent a lot of emails). Everyone was very professional and courteous and by the time that my day arrived I didn't have to worry a thing.
I highly recommend this venue! It is so beautiful and my professional pictures were siiiiiiiiiick!!!! ??

My husband and I were looking for a venue that would reflect our interests - history and art. We found the perfect venue at Maitland Arts Center. Kelly was responsive, friendly and helpful. They ended up taking off some of our deposit because the new restrooms weren't completed and we felt that was very fair. All of our guests were remarking how unique and beautiful the Maitland Arts Center is. We'd highly recommend them.

The Maitland Art Center is such a beautiful location with artistic roots. The center has a very Florida feel with a combo of palm trees and Spanish moss draped on oak trees in the background. That said, the chapel feels like so special and like it's sliced out of a different time and place.
We picked the outdoor chapel for our ceremony site. The rental also included the Mayan courtyard. We opted to only do our ceremony here but, the Mayan courtyard would have been a great space for the reception or ceremony cite if we had a slightly larger wedding.
Our wedding was fairly small (46 people) and we all fit in the space. If you're wedding is larger than 50 people you may want to go with the courtyard or the lawn across the street (also beautiful).
The site was exactly what we wanted and were really happy with the staff as well.

We had our wedding in the gardens of Lake Lily Cottage and the reception in the Lake Lily Cottage. The team there work well together to give their customers the perfect day. Even with last minute changes they were VERY accommodating. They set the tables just the way we wanted. When your doing your own wedding (which as the bride I would NOT recommend) having the tables set the way you want them was a HUGE time saver. The temp in the building was perfect at first (although once we all got in, it did get a little warm!) but still remained cooler inside than outside! The gardens were beautiful.
Brittney Green the coordinator there went out of her way to help me with some last minute changes and I can not begin to thank her enough. She was a God sent for us!

We had an excellent wedding ceremony at the Maitland Art Center, and if you are looking for a unique hidden gem in Orlando- this is it!
After looking at a few sites in Orlando, my fiancé fell in love with the Mayan chapel and we decided this was the place for us. The sales manager, Brittany Green was incredibly helpful and our guests loved the venue. Keep in mind that you will not need much décor since the architecture is already eye-catching, and the juxtaposition of Catholic and Mayan stone carvings somehow meld beautifully with the trees and Spanish moss.
If you’re looking for a historic and quietly beautiful site, you should consider the MAC.
Overall, we felt this was a beautiful backdrop for our small ceremony and the experience working with the Art Center staff was great.

We LOVED our venue, and all of the people there! They were so quick to answer every one of my questions, and were extremely flexible with us on getting a rehearsal in. It is a gorgeous venue, and their service was awesome. Will deaf recommend the art center to anyone I know getting married!

We had two different coordinators in the 9 months we booked our wedding and both of them were fantastic, professional and accomodating. They allowed us to create our own space to have our reception, and our wedding couldn't have been more beautiful. Highly recommend-your photos will be amazing!!! (And you can't be the price!!)

We booked the Maitland Art Center Mayan Chapel and Courtyard. This is the most beautiful venue for a small wedding! It is a great value. The staff was easy to get a hold of and very helpful. We couldn't be happier!

The Mayan Chapel and Courtyard was a fantastic place to hold a wedding. The place is truly magical. We had our ceremony at the chapel and the reception at the courtyard. We booked our date a year in advance. The prices were really reasonable and so we decided to book the place for the entire day. The process was easy and Lauren was super helpful.
It's a good thing we booked a bit in advance, because by the time our wedding came about, we learned that the entire compound was booked -- there were two weddings and a holiday party across the street, and another holiday party next door. Even so, we never had issues with parking (although Lauren assigned parking to everyone), and the noise never traveled from area to area.
The Art Center was truly flexible with us too. We were able to use the venue the day before, for as long as we wanted, for our rehearsal, and we were even allowed to bring all of our decorations and items the day before (since there were no events in our venue the night before).
The day of the wedding, the Art Center made sure to blow out all the leaves and fill the fountain with water. They also lent us a ladder so we could put our Christmas lights up (which are absolutely necessary, as it otherwise is too dark in the venue). And at the end of the event, Rebecca was kind enough to help us clean up a bit.
I can't stress enough how happy we were with our venue. The place was beautiful and it was super easy to book and decorate the place. The only thing to keep in mind is that the bathrooms are not very pretty (be ready to spruce them up), and you will need to bring some lightning.
My one complaint with the venue is that its near the train tracks. So, as luck would have it, a train decided to pass during our ceremony at 3pm on a Saturday. We made light of it but it certainly disrupted the event. So, make sure to look at the train schedules before book the venue for your wedding.
