CRC is a wedding day MUST!!!
If you are second-guessing a day of coordinator, don't talk yourself out of it! Jenna and Madison were the ULTIMATE team and we couldn't have gotten through our wedding weekend without their help! Jenna was always on top of communication, so lovely to work with such professionalism, and just made me feel at ease planning the big day even from a different state. I 100% recommend and am so happy for choosing CRC 💛 -

Jenna (owner and founder of CRC) is professional, reliable, and highly skilled. As a slightly older, very particular and at times demanding client, I can say that Jenna was able to navigate my desires, my personality, and my high expectations with confidence and grace. She always made me feel supported while also giving her knowledgeable feedback. If she disagreed with me, I knew she was right. Take this review as your sign to GET THE COORDINATOR! My now-husband and I were debating the idea of getting a coordinator early in our wedding planning journey. We were hesitant to spend more money on something we *thought* we could do ourselves, but hiring Compass Rose Coordination was hands-down the #1 most valuable thing we spent a part of our wedding budget on. Along the way, my partner and I joked that they were so wonderful, we would have been happy to pay them significantly more than we did for the services they offered.
At the beginning, we met Jenna, who took the time to get an idea of our vision for the wedding day. She collected all the information for the vendors we had already hired and shared a custom checklist with a timeline to keep us on track. There were so many things that I didn't even think to consider that Jenna brought to our attention. If you are planning a wedding for the first time, let me be the first to tell you - you don't know what you don't know. That's where Compass Rose comes in to help.
As the wedding got closer, Jenna included Jess, another member of her team to be our go-to person for the rest of the planning process. Jess was also incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. We had numerous zoom meetings and email conversations to check in and make sure that things were progressing appropriately. We really got to know them, trust them, and feel that we were being heard and our best interests were always prioritized.
The wedding day was SO EASY. We did not have to worry about one thing. We look back on our wedding day with so much happiness and joy, knowing that it was the best day of our lives. Jenna, Jess, and a third team member were there the entire day making sure that everything went smoothly. They were the contact-point for all of our vendors and set everything up for us. We had SO MANY compliments regarding the coordination team - professional, competent, kind, and organized were a few of the many things I heard from my guests. We really feel that they cared and wanted our day to be amazing.
It was bittersweet when the whole event was over, knowing that our journey with them was also over. We cannot thank you all enough for everything you did for us. We will recommend you to everyone we know!

Wedding coordination that goes above and beyond
I could write a novel with all the great things I have to say about Compass Rose Coordination. We hired Jenna as our month-of-coordinator, but she actually communicated with us throughout the entire five months we were planning our wedding. She would often check in just to see how I was feeling. (I was anxious throughout much of the planning process simply because it's not something I looked forward to doing.) But without fail, every time I talked to Jenna she put my mind at ease and had answers for everything. She made me feel like it was going to be the perfect day because she was on our team. And it truly was!
Due to the pandemic, we had a wedding where 99% of our guests attended via Zoom. Our parents were the only in-person guests. Because of that, we had a LOT of tech equipment: multiple camera set ups, tripods, Bluetooth microphones and speakers, a 40" TV that had to be set up and connected to our laptop to run the Zoom. When we told Jenna about our plans for the virtual component, she consulted with her fiancé who has a lot of tech experience, and they were actually able to give us a lot of important advice on how to best orchestrate the virtual set up and logistics for the day of the wedding. And if that wasn't already above and beyond, he actually came with her to the wedding and was instrumental in making sure all of our equipment was set-up, audio was working, and cameras were positioned and streaming properly.
Not only is Jenna incredibly talented and resourceful, but she is SO kind and has a can-do attitude. On our actual wedding day, she was a warrior. Despite having a microwedding (just a ceremony, cake cutting & toast) we were still on site for about 7 hours. I never once saw Jenna in slow motion - she was directing, organizing, and executing our wedding vision in a way that was even more perfect than we had imagined. We just showed up and got to enjoy the day. It was like buying an airline ticket, and then showing up to board the flight and being upgraded to first class. When I say that we could not have had the wedding without her, it's not an exaggeration. Truly, she made it all possible, and the live stream via Zoom was executed flawlessly. We are so thankful for Jenna and Evan and will always recommend Compass Rose Coordination - without hesitation. -

Working with Compass Rose was hands down the single best vendor decision we made in all of wedding planning!! We started working with Jenna about a year out from our wedding date. She was incredibly organized, approachable, and always proactive in helping us stay on track without ever making the process feel stressful. Four months before the wedding, we began working with Alayah on all the final details, and she was just as thoughtful, detail-oriented, and supportive. Both Jenna and Alayah were so respectful of our vision and choices for our wedding. We never felt pressured to do things a certain way, and they made sure that every choice reflected what felt right to us. They struck the perfect balance between giving expert guidance and making space for our preferences. On our wedding day, I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing (and just as importantly, our families didn't have to worry about a thing!) and because of that we were all so present and able to fully enjoy the day.
Thanks to Jenna and Alayah, our wedding day ran smoothly, felt completely authentic to who we are, and was filled with joy from start to finish. We truly couldn’t have done it without them!!! -

Jenna was THE best choice we made for our big day. If you're on the fence on whether having a wedding coordinator is a good idea or waste of money - GET JENNA, she is worth it! If you have a parent, or you yourself, who you know will not enjoy your big day because they're too busy making sure everything is going well - GET JENNA, she will make sure they actually be present and enjoy the wedding.
We hired Compass Rose Coordination as our wedding coordinator for our July 23, 2022 wedding, but Jenna actually communicated with us officially since April 2022. And long before that she was very easy to reach and make an appointment with.
She would often check in just to see how I was feeling. (I was anxious throughout much of the planning process simply because of money worries, being prone to anxiety, and making sure the wedding was an inclusive experience not just for the guests, but for the introverted groom too.) But without fail, every time I talked to Jenna she put my mind at ease and had answers for everything. She made me feel like it was going to be the perfect day because she was on our team. And it truly was!
She wrangled the circus of vendors the month before the wedding making sure that everyone was on the same page, sending out information, and making sure all requirements were met for the wedding venue owner.
Not only is Jenna incredibly organized and kind, but she is SO patient with my mom and has a can-do attitude. On our actual wedding day, she was my fairy godmother. There supposedly was an injury with my videographer and she was on the scene, as decision maker. (Videographer ended up being ok). I never once saw Jenna in slow motion - she was directing, organizing, and executing our wedding vision in a way that was even more perfect than we had imagined. And she was even flexible when my mom. when she asked for a first look with the father of the bride to be included in the pre-ceremony photos. The whole day was in one location, but the property was pretty huge and yet she made sure to check in and give small updates. And checked in on the very nauseous groom as well.
My absolute favorite thing about the unspoken services Jenna provided. Like making my mom feel supported and her vision on the decor a reality. I’m my mom’s only kid and she cared a lot about how the decor was going to be and such. Flashback to my Quinceañera - I had no moments with my mom that day because she was busy making sure it went well. I did not want that to happen on my wedding day. Jenna earned my mom’s trust that weekend and made sure my mom was actually present on the wedding day instead of worrying about table layouts or if any family members were missing at the chapel. I got to make memories with my mom instead.
When I say that we could not have had the wedding without her, it's not an exaggeration. Truly, she made it all possible, and got along with my vendors fabulously. We are so thankful for Jenna and her team and will always recommend Compass Rose Coordination - without hesitation. Also, one of the many reasons I hired Jenna was because I liked that we were around the same age, so I felt like she “got me” as I made small decisions over the bouquet toss being inclusive, how we would like our names to be introduced, considering environmental impact, etc.
Thank you for making our day one to remember and for fixing my makeup by removing the tear stains and for fluffing up my dress right as I walked down the aisle. -

I cannot imagine our day without the CRC team! We utilized coordination services for the last 4 months and I am SO thankful we had this incredible team. Jenna was always quick to respond and anticipated our needs. Jenna had a form to organize all of our thoughts and worked out the details to mean fewer vendor meetings on our end. She worked seamlessly with our vendors who continuously complimented her to my husband and I. Our guests have told us it was the most organized wedding they have ever been to! This team is clearly full of incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and, most importantly, kindhearted people who made it clear they were there for us and excited for us! Any fires that may have happened, Jenna put out without me even knowing. I would recommend this company to every single newly engaged couple (especially those of you considering not hiring a coordinator -- trust me, you need them!). -

We worked with Jenna and her team at Compass Rose to provide coordination for our wedding and I could not have been happier. From the intro call all the way through to the end of the event it was clear that they were really listening to us and our preferences, and attentive to the areas that we needed help (even if we did not know them ourselves!). She uses a lot of really helpful tech tools to help you keep track of your planning and to download your brain into a package that is easily transferrable to her and her team for implementation. I would also say that all the services were excellent value; we found her early on in the process and she was so helpful - and as the bills started piling in I kept being thankful for all we were recieving at Jenna's contracted rate. Could not recommend more! -

Jenna is basically a wizard in the wedding planner world. She helped plan our wedding that was one day after another on the same weekend, and was still able to absolutely crush it! During a time where there's typically a lot of stress, Jenna is able to put you at ease with her ability to remain calm under pressure, organized when there are a million things to keep track of, and most importantly, kind to everyone she works with. I don't think she has a mean bone in her body, and having someone like that who also values your event as much as you do meant the world to us. My friends and family all raved about how amazing the wedding turned out, but we truly could not have done it without Jenna!

We didn’t think we needed a coordinator since we weren’t having a wedding party and planned to keep our ceremony short and simple, but our venue required one and we are so glad they did. We chose Compass Rose Coordination (Arcadia Collective) for their coordination package, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made.
Our lead coordinator, Alayah, and her team were incredible. Beyond managing the day-of coordination, they took care of nearly all the setup and breakdown. This was such a huge gift, not only for us but also for our parents. Coming from a DIY family where setup and teardown is always a big group effort, it was amazing to have a professional team take that weight off everyone’s shoulders.
The amount of work they put into setup and breakdown went far above and beyond what is typical in the industry for a day of coordinator. Alayah and her team were so adaptable to our unique needs and stepped in where help was needed. We truly could not imagine the day running as smoothly without them. We are so grateful, thank you Alayah! -

My husband and I were so grateful that we were able to plan our wedding with Jenna, Maria, and the Compass Rose Coordination team. While interviewing coordinators, Jenna was extremely personable and ready to answer all of our questions, and ask us questions we hadn’t even thought of asking. We booked CRC about a year and a half out before our wedding. CRC was within our budget and offered more services than other coordinators we interviewed. For example, for “month-of coordinators,” we were pleasantly surprised to know that we could still be in contact with the team as early and often as we needed in case we had any quick questions, and that our work together would technically start four months prior to the wedding, rather than just four weeks. They utilize a software that keeps all planning information organized and structured, and our voices and ideas felt very much valued throughout the entire process. Our assigned coordinator, Maria, was so personable and helpful in offering suggestions and ideas whenever we needed help, and always took the time to answer any questions we had. Our ceremony rehearsal was run smoothly and we really appreciated that Maria had thought through different scenarios in case things went awry so that we could be prepared for anything. When the day of the wedding finally came, we knew we could trust Maria, Alayah, Jade, and Jenna to help our ideas become a magical reality. They were so helpful with set up, paid special attention to us, our families, and our wedding party to make sure we were being taken care of throughout the day and night, and executed a seamless and quick pack up to ensure we had all of our belongings; we couldn’t have been in better hands! Throughout the evening and in days after, several of our vendors shared how wonderful it was to work with CRC, and how well-coordinated the event was, and that serves as a testament to how detailed, committed, and professional the CRC team is! -

Can't recommend CRC enough... YOU NEED TO HIRE JENNA & HER TEAM!!!!! She's just amazing, and we couldn't have asked for better or more efficient help. Seriously anyone having a wedding in the Virginia Beach area – just do it. Their knowledge of vendors, best practices and experience with knowing that to anticipate for our event was unmatched. If I could give the CRC team more than five stars, I would! From start to finish, they made our wedding planning process go seamlessly. My now husband and I are more than grateful that we decided to work with Compass Rose Coordination. As someone who typically plans things out far in advance, I knew I would need additional help planning a wedding in just six months. Deciding to work with CRC was the best decision I could’ve ever made! We began by working with Jenna, who got the ball rolling on our wedding ideas, thoughts, and dreams. She was always very open and honest about the next steps and what to expect. I felt like Jenna could truly read my mind when it came to needing suggestions or a little encouragement. Later, Jenna brought in the amazing Jordan to be our lead coordinator! We knew immediately that we would be in good hands with her. Jordan was very efficient and reliable throughout our entire time working with her. This CRC team was more organized than I ever thought possible! They were prepared for all our meetings and even sent reminders to us when it came to finishing up forms or meeting deadlines (which we found to be very helpful!). Thus, I was very impressed with the communication throughout the entire process. When our wedding day finally arrived, we were blessed to have Jordan, Alayah, and Anna on our side. They did an outstanding job navigating any challenge thrown their way! We faced rain, thunderstorms, and more, but they stayed professional and attentive to each matter. I wholeheartedly believe our day would not have been the same without them there! We were able to truly have a wonderful time with our family and friends thanks to CRC. The best of the best
If you are in the throes of wedding planning and frantically looking through reviews and recommendations for a wedding planner… take a deep breath and TRUST me that you’ve just come across the dream team.
I met Jenna in passing while touring my venue, where the venue manager told me that the ladies at Compass Rose were cool and professional. Even while she was hustling to make someone else’s big day perfect that Saturday morning, she met me with friendliness and excitement, and I instantly liked her.
Later, I was paired with Olivia, who had the same demeanor. I began working with her four months out from our wedding day, and she exceeded all of my expectations. As a bride, the wedding industry can feel like a cold and daunting place of emails with quotes that make your heart drop or impersonal interactions. CRC felt warm, skillful, experienced, and always had an energy that reminded me this was an exciting time– not a totally stressful one.
One thing I loved so much about these ladies is that I felt no pressure when it came to things I did or didn’t want. Olivia covered EVERYTHING in our meetings, asking things I would have never thought of– and I never felt any judgment on my decisions for the big day.
Even when I felt scatter-brained, Olivia was cool, concise, and kind. She eased all of my anxieties, which was a gift I will literally never be able to thank her enough for.
On the big day, I got the pleasure of meeting a few members of the CRC team, all of whom felt like personal girlfriends who made me feel confident and beautiful, and who I also knew were working incredibly hard and had my back to make the day seamless. I can only IMAGINE the work that went on behind the scenes, and the things they did for me that I probably won’t ever even know about.
I felt like I was genuinely able to relax and enjoy our wedding day, knowing this crew had everything covered.
