Absolutely Incredible Wedding
If you’re considering having your wedding at Wine & Roses, look no further! After looking at many venues in-person/online, we immediately knew W&R was right for us after seeing the beautiful grounds and meeting the sales manager, Charina. She made us feel right at home and made booking our wedding easy. After signing our contract, we met with our assigned wedding coordinator, Eloisa. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Eloisa and what an incredible wedding coordinator she is. From the moment we met her, she listened and gave advice to tailor the venue’s services to exactly what we wanted our wedding ceremony/reception to look and feel like. She is so on-top of her planning game and executed our wedding to a “t”. Eloisa worked fabulously with me, my husband, difficult family members, many vendors, and the in-house W&R team. Everything on our wedding day and leading up to it was simply effortless. All staff members that we interacted with during our ceremony/reception/cafe/hotel were so professional and accommodating. Wine & Roses went above and beyond for us, reflecting that you get what you pay for. Having our wedding there wasn’t cheap, but it was really worth every penny. Thank you Charina, Eloisa, and the entire team for giving us a wedding that our friends and family will talk about for decades down the road. THANK YOU! (Photos by Ashlyn Coleal)-

WIne & Roses was the perfect venue for our wedding. We visited about 5-6 places that fit our criteria and found that W&R to fit every box. It was a bonus that they would provide the catering and an event coordinator. Our coordinator was Julie Clemmings. She was awesome. I loved having help organizing the day and all the little details. She was great to bounce ideas off of and help us make decisions. The only hiccup was the weather. There was a heat wave that week and it was 106 on the wedding day! I was able to get paper fans (thank you Amazon Prime!) to provide for the guests and Julie arranged to have water stations out earlier than usual. My bridesmaids, mom and I used The Spa to have our hair and makeup done. My makeup was done by Heather who did an amazing job. I have oily skin and with the heat, I was worried my makeup would just melt off. It lasted the entire day with just some touch-ups! My hair was done by Jessica. I loved how she did my hair. Very cute and romantic! Our ceremony took place in the wedding garden with one of the gates as our backdrop. There was plenty of shade from the trees. Cocktail hour was in the pavilion area, which was tented. We had a bar set up and they passed around the hors d'oeuvres. The reception took place in the ballroom, which is beautiful. The room is gorgeous especially at night. We had a plated dinner for our guests. The dinner choices were filet mignon, chicken ballantine, and seared halibut. By far, the filet was the most popular choice. It was amazing. Done just perfect. The halibut and chicken dishes were also very good. I did not hear one negative comment about the food. Overall, W&R is the perfect wedding venue. They will help you have your dream wedding. I don't think mine could have gone any more smoothly. It really was perfect. It's been over 2 months and I still think of that day everyday and smile. It was the best day of my life so far :) -

The entire staff at Wine & Roses were AMAZING. From start to finish they went above and beyond to make our day so special. Our coordinator, Melanie, was THE BEST. The staff took care of everything and it was better than we could have dreamed. I wouldn't have changed a thing from them and would recommend them to ANYONE looking for a special event location. -

I had such a great experience with Wine and Roses and the planning staff. We wanted to do a weekend wedding that was far enough to inspire people to stay overnight but close enough to drive. I never would have thought Lodi but at the suggestion of my best friend, I went to check it out. First place I looked at and only place I looked at. I was immediately sold on the venue because it had every single thing we wanted. The rooms are amazing, the grounds are magical, I was able to do a garden wedding and an indoor ceremony and it was within budget. We worked with a few people at Wine and Rose; Patti and Charina. They were both full on super stars. The small issues we had they addressed immediately, with urgency and to our satisfaction. Patti worked with us on everything detail including the many that would have never come to mind had she not covered it. She was with us from the moment we picked a date until the day of. I can't say enough about the value of the day of support. She was on top of everything. The food we had before the ceremony, making sure everything was set up in the reception area the way we discussed, she sewed a bridemaid into a dress when the zipper failed, she cued us all in for the ceremony, she managed ALL of the vendors with set up and breakdown and she made sure that all of our belongings were nearing packed and waiting for is the day after. We didn't have to touch a thing. Another nice touch - when my husband and I got to our honeymoon suite there were rose petals leading up to the door and to the sleeping area, there was a bottle of champagne chilled, a sample of all the cake flavors and a little cheese platter!!! Seriously, I just couldn't have imagined a more perfect day. -

Wine & Roses is the best venue for weddings! I highly recommend this place to any bride who is looking for a wedding that has an elegant, classic feeling. My husband and I got married at Wine & Roses 3 months ago (June 20, 2015). We were married outside beneath a beautiful tree and arch. We had our cocktail hour underneath a white tent that also had fans, so our guests weren't hot. Then, we had our reception in the ballroom. It has a huge dance floor that is surrounded by a stage for a band (if requested), bar, beautiful fire place, head table, and tables for guests. It is just like the wedding reception scene from "My Best Friend's Wedding." My event specialist, Julie, was absolutely amazing! She let me know when it was time to do things without making me feel stressed. She is extremely attentive, caring, and always pays attention to detail. She conducted the rehearsal, food tasting, and made sure the wedding went smoothly. Julie is absolutely amazing and so is the rest of the W&R team! Charina is the sales manager, and she was always a huge help, too! Between Charina and Julie, all my questions were answered within 2 hours of asking them. I loved working with both of these women. The food is outstanding, the rooms are super nice, the staff is friendly, and I felt like they always catered to my needs whether I asked them to or not. Our wedding day was perfect, and we know it had a LOT to do with Wine & Roses. They truly care about weddings and want your day to be perfect. I would hire them all over again! -

My Maid of Honor planned a Bachelorette Party/Spa weekend at Wine & Roses, it was amazing! The Spa was so relaxing, everyone was very professional and kind, and the grounds are so beautiful and tranquil. It was a much needed girl time to unwind before the wedding. I recommend a weekend getaway to anyone, especially brides. If my wedding wasn't in another town, I would have used their spa to get ready for the big day! -

Wine and Roses went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful wedding. The big "plus" in choosing this establishment is with any event you have here you are given an event specialist. They make everything so easy and gladly answer any questions you have. It feels like their goal is to make your dreams come true and bring your visions to life. Our specialist was Pati and she did an AMAZING job with everything! She was always helpful and had tons of ideas whenever I felt stuck or uninspired. I wish I could relive my wedding day at least 100 times over and I would chose this place every time, hands down! P.s.- the food was SOOOOO CRAZY GOOD! -

Wine & Roses was so helpful throughout my wedding experience, especially Stacey! My mom and I emailed her so many times with questions and she would respond quickly and professionally. You could really tell she loved her job! I was extremely nervous that on the wedding day vendors would not know where to go or something wrong would happen, but Stacey was there the whole time and kept everything under control! I am so glad she was our Coordinator and I would not ask for anyone else! The food was also amazing and they work with the bride and groom on the wedding day in case they do not get enough time to eat their meal. Also, we got a free 1 night either the night before the wedding or the night of, which helped us out for the night of. My husband and I fell in love with Wine & Roses as soon as we stepped onto the grounds, and we are so happy we got married there. -

I got married here last week and the entire experience could not have been more enjoyable. I planned our destination event from thousands of miles away without ever making a trip out here. Extensive online research led me here initially because they had an affordable minimum for a small wedding (harder to find than you might think), but the pictures sold me. Much to my relief, we arrived to an even more beautiful, serene setting than I could have imagined.
The grounds are rustic but elegant, with beautiful landscaping and endless locations to stage the perfect photo. The rooms are clean and a good mixture of modern/country (the Vintner Suite was huge and perfect for evening gatherings). The pool is lovely, the restaurant delicious (but a bit pricey) and the staff all very helpful. The spa was very accommodating (through multiple scheduling changes and last minute appointments) and I was thrilled with the look they helped create for my day (nails, hair and makeup). Our entire group also agreed the massages were the best we've had.
The wedding itself was amazing as well, thanks to our coordinator, Pati. She worked with me for months via email and phone to help me feel confident in planning from afar. She took on all the day of coordination and decoration and brought my vision to life. She even helped push our ceremony back without skipping a beat when some of our guests were delayed.
Selecting a wedding destination is difficult enough, but doing so without seeing it in person (and trying to weed through hundreds of reviews online) can make a person crazy. If you're looking for an upscale (but not snobby), rustic (but still elegant) location with 4 star food and service, Wine & Roses will not disappoint. -

I was hesitant to have my wedding here at first because of its proximity to Stockton. But it is such a beautiful venue and has the best food in the area. Originally I wanted to have my wedding in SF but it was way too expensive, especially for a 200+ guest list. Wine and Roses was able to accommodate our large wedding and was a one stop shop for venue, catering and wedding coordination. The value was great! Especially in comparison to what they charge in the bay area for a lot less services and quality. Some of my guest said the service (ie passed appetizers etc) felt "high end", which I guess they felt it was classy in others words. Stacey B. was our coordinator and she was very sweet and helpful, and I am thankful for her services, all the staff we encountered were very nice. Overall, considering I had 200+ guest, and only 8 months to plan the wedding, it was a perfect wedding, and generally stress free in the planning process since Wine and Roses helped put much of it together (food, cake, itinerary, and vendor recommendations). I would have my wedding again at Wine and Roses, I could write all day about how great the wedding turned out and how awesome the venue was. If you want to have your wedding here you really need to book in advance, they fill up fast and mine was only booked 8 months before the wedding, which we got lucky. -

My daughter had her wedding ceremony and reception at Wine and Roses.
What a perfect day. There were no surprises. Our wedding coordinator was amazing and made sure everything was taken care of so we could enjoy every minute. The food from appetizers to sit down dinner was excellent. Guests were very impressed. The grounds are so beautiful. So happy we will remember this day for all the right reasons. -

After being a guest and visitor of the bar for many years, I recently hosted an event at Wine and Roses. I had my wedding in Chicago this July, and through a second party with my family in Lodi. Wine and Roses was the perfect selection. We had a lunch party in the Barrel room that includes both an indoor and private patio. The space was beautiful, food was delicious and great team to work with. Sara was our coordinator and a pleasure to work with. Our guests had a wonderful time! -

Wine and Roses is where we had our Wedding and it was so beautiful. I loved the out door ceremony and the indoor reception. Their grounds and hotel is gorgeous. The food was absolutely amazing! How they made 95 perfect filet mignon is beyond me, you could cut it with a butter knife! (No Lie) I would say if you plan on getting married there just be sure to be on top of all of your stuff, sometimes the wedding planners are not always as quick to respond as I would prefer. But all in all get venue!!! -

I used Wine and Roses for almost everything. It was very expensive but I am so happy with the beautiful wedding I ended up with. The food was delicious, the wedding coordinator was very helpful, and the grounds were gorgeous. I wish it wouldn't have been so expensive, but I knew the cost going into it, so the value for the dollar was very good. Overall I would recommend this venue. As a girl that grew up in the area, it felt like I had stepped out of San Joaquin County to a much prettier part of the state. -

Amazing and beautiful venue. This was our second child to be married here. The grounds are gorgeous, rooms are amazing and the food for the wedding is fantastic. The staff are very professional. It is so nice having everything in one place, the wedding, the reception, lodging, and breakfast the next day. I highly recommend them. The only glitch was a few guests had issues booking their rooms in our block. -

When I described what my dream venue would look like, I said it should have a wood beamed ceiling and a giant fireplace. When I walked into the main ballroom at Wine & Roses, there was my space. Even better, the room had two walls lined with windows facing birch trees and ivy creating an architectural backdrop and complementing the natural beauty of the room. The surrounding grounds were equally beautiful, and Charina (whom I love!) assured us that in December the place would be even more magical with twinkle lights everywhere, including the year round tent structure that can be heated up to host a cocktail hour for my winter wedding. In short, it was perfect.
That said, I was still nervous about the cost - W&R is not inexpensive - and I was also nervous about being 45 minutes from downtown, which is central for many of our guests, the airport, and a wide selection of hotels for out-of-town guests. Ultimately, I did a crash course visiting every other vendor near downtown that might compete, including the Sutter Club, the Citizen Hotel, the Hyatt, even the Convention Center, and re-examined tons of other venues online before deciding that this really was the only option for me. I also realized that for the caliber of the venue, W&R is priced pretty fairly with its competitors. More importantly, I know they will take care of all the details and create the perfect day for me, so I booked!
I know several people who have gotten married here, and a number of people who have attended weddings here, and everyone has raved about the food and the very polished way weddings come off at W & R. At my recent tasting, I was able to verify the quality of the food, and thanks to Julie, my day-of planner, I now have a much better sense of what I still have left to figure out in the last 2.5 months before the big day. I am more excited than ever about my wedding, and know that I can count on the team at W & R.

The spa here is AMAZING! Total spa experience! The girl who did my facial had me relaxed and feeling wonderful, the lunch was an apple and chicken salad and to die for! So fresh and light! I felt like a queen. -

The grounds were beautiful. We were very happy exchanging vows in such a beautiful location. The reception was a bit frustrating for lots of people. We were trying to be cost conscious, so we decided to go with passed hors d'oevres & 2 stations (one fruit & one anti pasti). We told them 90 people, yet there wasn't enough food. People were taking more than "their share". If you were in line for one of the stations, you missed out on what was being served. The wedding party was out for pictures, & when we entered the reception, none of the passed hors d'oevres had been saved for us, or the parents. It was really embarrassing that even though we only had 80 people, 10 shy of the number we quoted, so we paid for food for 90 people, and there were LOTS of people complaining about not getting enough to eat. The biggest embarrassment was my brand new in-laws telling their son & I that they felt they needed to go out for dinner even after the reception. There should have been better "portion policing" to make sure all of the guests got fed, especially the people who were footing the bill!!!
On a separate note, the staff was very helpful getting our stuff to the room, & in the planning. I think I could have used a little more assistance taking some of the stress away, but in all, I'm still glad,we chose Wine & Roses as our venue. I'm sorry that one of the more talked about things will be the issue with the food. (We asked twice in the days before the wedding about specifically making sure the bridal party & the parents got to share in the passed, hors d'oevres, because they would be out taking pictures.) -

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Wine and Roses. The setting is absolutely beautiful for both ceremony and reception. The food was wonderful and I loved my cake! -

Tour/information session
We met with Erin who was very helpful and informative. She gave us all the information needed for this venue and also led us on a tour to see the location that was being held for our ceremony and reception. Very flexible in their wedding packages.
Good overall experience so far.-

Overall we had a great experience with Wine & Roses. The only area they lacked in was communication between the hotel and the wedding planners. We had a lot of issues with both ours and our guest's bills and the hotel staff was incredibly inflexible about check out times and helping with issues that were their fault. The wedding planners were very nice and helpful especially considering they did a lot of our planning over the phone or via e-mail. The only wedding related problem we had was the way they packed up our belongings at the end of the reception. The staff took no care whatsoever in packing up our things; shoving priceless things into boxes they didn't fit into and putting vases filled with water and flowers into cardboard boxes for us to dispose of in the morning. They also lost our belongings for several hours and we had to call management in the morning. Even with all of this, I would still recommend this venue because it's beautiful, a good price, the food and cake were delicious, and it's a great place for people to stay on site. I would just recommend you bring your own wedding planner who will not take any crap and will get things done for you so you, as the bride, don't end up having to call for a manager because the hotel staff is trying to double your hotel bill the morning after your wedding...like I did. -

I had only heard good things about this venue so I had high hopes. Everything up until the day of the wedding went relatively smoothly. There was a rehearsal going on before the wedding so my bridal party was unable to take photos in front of the arch before the wedding. Then right after the wedding the ceremony decorations were taken down before we had an opportunity to take pictures in front of them. No one asked us about taking them down. I feel the venue could have communicated better with us regarding this. The grass was very mushy in some spots (even though they said they wouldn't water that day) which limited locations for pictures since we couldn't walk on it. The day after the wedding my in-laws went to pick up all the items I brought including chargers, table number holders, easels, glass candleholders, etc. I had been very meticulous when I packed everything so it had been all wrapped up and organized. When my in-laws went to pick up the items they were all thrown haphazardly into boxes. On many of the items the paint was noticeably scratched off. The staff hadn't saved the paper the breakables were wrapped in so my in-laws had nothing to wrap everything in so it would survive the car ride home. Consequently, one of my candleholders broke during the ride. The chargers were placed back in their containers with food all over them. They weren't even wiped off. 7 of the crystals I bought to hang from the table number holders were missing. Overall I think the venue is OK but I expected better communication and better treatment of my things considering how expensive it is and how many weddings they have. -

DO NOT GO!!! Cokroaches
Went here for an overnight lady’s trip. I was shocked by the events that took place during our stay. Upon initial check in the hotel desk clerk was very rude after I asked if we could have a room next to the other half of our party. I didn’t say anything about the rudeness as it was just the beginning of what was going to be a fun time. After returning from winetasting that day we proceeded to the area with the bar and piano. We ordered snacks and wine. This is about the time things really started to go south. Though I was not present during a conversation between my friend and the manager I was told the manager, Tricia was extremely rude about our request to change our dinner reservation. She, Tricia had indicated that we MUST be there at 7:15pm or we can’t get in. All 5 of us started to realize that its standard and normal practice for the staff to be less than kind and treat hotel guests with disrespect and hostility. We proceeded to go to the restaurant promptly at 7:15 and waited to be seated. Once again, the hotel manager, Tricia tended to us at 7:20 and said we were late and even thought we were, in fact, on time. Once seated we looked over the menu and ordered an appetizer. My friend asked for a wine list and was told by our server the manager Tricia told her (our server) because one of us was “teetering” that no one can have a glass of wine with dinner. Now let me say, we are all in our 40’s and not one of us was belligerent or being obnoxious in any way. Also, what if “this teetering person” had a disability that caused the teetering that Tricia saw. Having enough my friend asked to speak to her Tricia on the side where no guests would be distracted from their dinner. I again was not involved in that conversation, but I did hear voices raising and Tricia stating to my friend if she wanted to check out, she is welcome to and motioned to the reception desk. Now I’d like to point out… IF we were that intoxicated then why is Tricia suggesting that we leave the hotel in our cars. Because of this we left the restaurant and did not eat there. In addition, my friend was so upset she drove back that instant to Grass Valley. Now there are 4 of us. We decided to go to a lovely steak house in Lodi where we spent 500.00 on dinner for the 4 of us. After a fun night out, we went back to our rooms and settle in. Well, that didn’t happen either, we had 2 LARGE groups of younger people partying in 2 upstairs rooms. They were screaming yelling and not only in the rooms but in the courtyard where the noise just echoed all night. We called security and a resolution was not reached, it continued until 4am. The icing on the cake was when my friend wanted to play cards to pass time, so she reached into her bag where 2 roaches scurried away. Once again security was called. Security stated they don’t see anything as they shined their flashlights around looking. Well duh, roached flee when there is light. My friend was so mortified by this she left as well at midnight and got back to Sacramento at 12:30pm. So now our fun ladies weekend now has only 3 out of the 5 left. While checking out we indicated the issues and suggested the hotel be inspected for pests. Now a male manager was there, and he acknowledged the issues with the roaches. We were in COMPLETE shock that this is a known issue and yet let people stay there as well as serve food from the restaurant! In all we have renamed the hotel Wine and Roaches. The owners should be humiliated that their management treats people with complete disrespect. In no way is this the acceptable leadership for any company none the less a company in the hospitality field. I will be posting this review on every site possible as well as calling the health department in hopes the owners will do their due diligence in correcting these issues -
