I had the absolute pleasure of working with Antonio for my wedding on October 4th, 2025, and I can honestly say the experience was nothing short of amazing from beginning to end.
From our very first conversation, Antonio was kind, professional, and incredibly communicative. Before our tasting, he called to walk through the menu and help us build something we knew we’d love. His menu offers such a wide variety of delicious options... it was honestly hard to narrow it down! We also really appreciated how flexible he was. Every dish was customizable, and he made sure everything reflected our tastes and preferences perfectly.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Antonio was always available to answer my questions. He never made me feel like a bother and always responded quickly and kindly.
On the wedding day, Antonio and his team truly went above and beyond. Everything was perfectly executed, from cocktail hour to the main dinner service to dessert. Even though my husband and I weren’t able to attend cocktail hour, his team made sure to bring appetizers to us, which was such a thoughtful touch, and so appreciated.
The food was an absolute hit. We are still getting compliments from guests saying it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. People couldn’t stop talking about the appetizers, the flavorful entrees, the sides... everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. And the desert bar had so many options, there was a flavor for everyone there! Several guests said they would love to hire Antonio for their own events.
His staff was just as incredible...professional and attentive. They kept everything running smoothly while making sure our guests were well taken care of.
I can’t say enough great things about Antonio and his team. If you're looking for a caterer who not only delivers exceptional food but also top-tier service and a true sense of care and professionalism, Antonio is the one. He helped make our wedding day unforgettable, and we are so grateful! -

Antonio and has team NEVER cease to amaze me! Antonio has done the catering for my dad's work for over 10 years, so it was an easy decision for me to have him as the caterer at our wedding. His food always blows me away, and he worked with us to create a menu that fit what we wanted food wise, as well as meeting dietary restrictions for guests! His team is so kind, and full of amazing people. If you need a caterer for your next event, he will always be my first recommendation to anyone. -

Hiring Antonio for our wedding was one of the best decisions we ever made. He is fun but professional, has great prices, and his food is incredible. We were very specific with what we wanted which was vats of paella and we also wanted passed appetizers. He made all of this happen seamlessly and our guests raved about the food. He was also very easy to work with and professional as well with his documents. We got to do a tasting before which was such a fun experience and he went above and beyond to help us really figure out what we wanted. We love Antonio, many people in the Auburn area do as well. He is a great choice for any catering event! -

Antonio and his team catered our wedding at Gold Hill Gardens in Newcastle. He was an absolute joy to work with from the beginning. He was responsive when I was deciding what caterer to go with, he had an expansive menu and was willing to work with our ideas, and he had incredibly competitive pricing. We were able to do a tasting at his kitchen and we immediately knew we made the right decision. After trying the shrimp with the gazpacho, we knew we needed an entree that included shrimp was well. He suggested the risotto cakes and they were fantastic, and could accommodate both vegetarians (by skipping the shrimp) and pescatarians.
We loved his food and were excited to have him handle our wedding. Having attended many weddings and talked to many brides/grooms, we expected the food to be good on our wedding day but not as good as when we tasted considering he’d be cooking half in his kitchen and finishing at the venue and cooking for 150 people, not 4.
The food on our wedding day was FANTASTIC. One of our groomsman who loves shrimp said this was a top 3 shrimp he’s ever had. Another guest said they’ve never left a wedding thinking the food was memorable but that ours was truly delicious.
They also executed our drinks to perfection.
I could not recommend Antonio more. Hire him immediately!!!!

We did lunch for my wedding with 170 guests with both vegetarian and meat options. The food was amazing, creative, and very flavorful. Our guests raved about the food. Antonio was easy to work with and very flexible with all of the changes I requested. The cleanup afterwards was thorough and efficient, which we especially appreciated. I highly recommend Antonio and I look forward to using him for my next event. -

If you’re getting married anywhere near Grass Valley, CA, and you want to thoroughly impress your guests with the best wedding food they’ve ever had, hire Antonio. Everything was delicious, timing was perfect (the buffet moved quickly and no one was waiting too long), and his team of sous chefs, servers, and bar tenders were fantastic. The appetizers and dinner were much more important to us than dessert, but Antonio also did our cake and desserts for us: fresh fried churros and a variety of cannoli flavors! Our only complaint is we wish we could have had the opportunity to eat more of his food, but it’s true what they say, you’ll barely eat at your own wedding. -

Oh. My. Goodness. Antonio is INCREDIBLE! His food was definitely a highlight of our day. He really listened to our requests, and curated a custom menu that helped make our day unforgettable. The way he followed up with every last detail really took the whole event to the next level. His staff was so attentive, friendly, and accommodating, I felt like they were predicting our every guest's need. I cannot recommend him and his food enough for your event. You won't regret it! -

I can't recommend Antonio enough!!! Antonio catered our wedding this past July in Alpine Meadows, Tahoe and our guests are STILL talking about our food- it was absolutely the highlight of the day for us and all our guests. Our photographer, planner and videographer all said it was the best wedding food they've ever had (and you know they all go to a LOT of weddings), so it was the highest compliment. Tyler & I are both huge foodies, living in SF and going out to eat almost weekly so we wanted a caterer that would help deliver on our big day, and truly Antonio BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER! Above and beyond what we ever could have expected!!!
Our venue had no running water or electricity, yet Antonio's team managed all the challenges with such ease. From the very first day we reached out, Antonio was flexible, accommodating, and it felt like we were always on the same team- he was problem solving for us given some of the venue limitations. His staff (including bartenders, wait-staff and more) were efficient, polite and went above and beyond for myself & my husband (brought us over food immediately after the ceremony knowing we weren't going to have time to eat, checked in on us continuously throughout dinner to see if we needed anything and so much more) and all our guests (doing table side wine service, pouring shots, making specialty drinks, clearing tables and so much more).
When planning a wedding, I didn't realize how critical it is to have a catering team who you feel confident in, as they truly do SO much more than "just" provide the food- they were always willing to pitch in and help wherever it was needed day-of, which was critical to ensuring the day ran smoothly. And again, the FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL! It was so fresh, flavorful, light & healthy, yet also hearty and served all our different dietary restrictions (vegans, and gluten-free).
Antonio went above and beyond in all senses... he and his team had early meals ready for the band, gave us so many different options in plating/ serving arrangements and whipped up 3 different (decently complex) specialty cocktails that we had selected (and he sourced incredibly fresh ingredients to make these tasty cocktails and garnish them professionally), and so much more. We couldn't have been more pleased with Antonio & his team!!! -

We can't speak highly enough about Antonio and his team! They not only provided a customized Italian spread for our November 2021 wedding including appetizers, buffet, and dessert bar, but they also did a "room flip" switching the Miners Foundry's Stone Hall from ceremony site to reception space with ease. Antonio was responsive and helpful in the confusion on our end leading up to the big day (with COVID, we weren't sure if we would have to cancel or relocate). On the day of, I forgot that a friend was not only vegan but also gluten-free, and he made her up a plate with no problem. Aside from the great service, the food was SO GOOD, my sister/MOH texted us at 1 a.m. ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT looking for leftovers to scrounge from our front porch like a raccoon. Serving chicken at a wedding can be risky because it's so easy to dry out, but the Tuscan chicken breast was-- dare I say -- *moist* and flavorful. The spinach raviolis, especially, 10/10. Best decision we made was to hire Antonio Ayestaran Catering for our daughter’s wedding! Our guests raved about the food. The appetizers and dinner selections ( salmon, butternut squash ravioli, chicken Marsala, 2 salads….) were absolutely delicious and always hot and plentiful.The catering manager is wonderful and entire staff far exceeded our expectations for service, attentiveness, friendliness, professionalism, and fun. We had complete confidence in our choice of caterer so we were able to totally relax and enjoy the reception. I can’t wait to hire them again! -

Where do I begin?! Wow. Just wow. If you need a caterer and you want fresh, beautifully plated AMAZING tasting food, this is the caterer for you. Antonio came highly referred to me via my wedding planner and he lived up to every praise. The food was impeccable. His staff was pleasant and attentive to my guests. He even came through when some of the floral decor we had needed super glue at the last minute. From the very beginning Antonio was always very professional and accommodating. He is a busy man but he always makes time for his customers and he is very responsive to emails. He was also creative and helpful in bringing our culinary vision to light. When we showed up for the tasting we knew we made the right choice in selecting him as the one. Both at that tasting and on the day of our wedding, the food was warm and delicious. His steak was the highlight of dinner. The meat melted in your mouth as you ate it, The passed appetizers were hot, the salad was crisp and delightful. Delicious I say! During the planning process he paid careful attention to our overall vision and his staff executed the set up of the guest tables better than anticipated. If you select this caterer, he is well connected and can help with all of the dinnerware needs and he is willing to step outside of his comfort zone to create new foods if you so choose. Also, he was accommodating and flexible in having a payment schedule that was most comfortable to us. Tell him your budget and he will make whatever you want work. I’m telling you. Check the man out. We worked with him for over an entire year (maybe almost 2 lol) and went thru many changes thanks to COVID. Our guest list began at 250 and by the time it happened we had reduced twice for a final count of 60 people (thx to covid of course). But…Once the deposit is made to reserve the date, he tells you the balance and leaves it up to you how often you want or need to pay. As long as he gets his money by the day of the wedding lol! 😂 seriously though… if you want an affordable, no fuss, extremely talented culinary artist making fresh delicious food to serve your guests, call Antonio. That’s all I’m saying! Don’t say I never helped you either! 😁 He is the right choice. -

My husband and I had an out-of-town backyard wedding, so it was really important to us to supply delicious food for our guests since we didn’t have a venue to do it for us. The only thing I knew that I wanted on the menu was grilled cheese and tomato sauce appetizers and Antonio nailed it. It was probably the tastiest tomato bisque we’ve ever had! Besides just that, the rest of the appetizers and dinner he put together were incredible (especially the butternut squash ravioli and dessert pies)! When my husband and I made our rounds to talk to our guests during dinner, they all expressed how delicious the food was and many asked for Antonio’s name for future reference. Not only is his food fantastic, Antonio was also extremely friendly, kind and professional to work with. He was quick to respond to my emails and questions and worked well with my coordinator and family. I wish we could get married again solely to eat his food again. I would recommend him for any wedding or event you’re throwing! -

By far the most frequent compliment we received was on our wedding food. It looked and tasted amazing, and was perfectly selected for the season. Working with Antonio was also such a pleasure! If I personally knew anyone getting married soon I would be telling them they need to reach out to Antonio Ayesteran Custom Catering. Antonio and his team are seriously incredible! I feel like it says something that in all of the chaos of our wedding, I noticed how friendly and attentive each and every member of his team was. And the food is delicious! After we had our tasting ~a year before the wedding, every so often it would come up in conversation that we couldn't wait to eat his food again. The night of our wedding, the food was just as good as it was at our tasting, which I can't help but find impressive with a buffet setup! We got plenty of comments about how great everything was as we made the rounds to visit our guests' tables, which for me was the perfect final sign we had made an excellent choice. Seriously, you will not regret it - Reach out and see if he's available! -
Jennifer Sent on 08/13/2018Antonio was so awesome! When my husband and i started looking for caterers, he was our first trial. Everything was amazing and we booked him for our wedding that same day!! We never second guessed our decision. From that day on everything went smoothly. He was awesome to work with and helped us plan a vegetarian buffet for our guests. Most of our guests are meat eaters, but we got no complaints that there wasn't any meat options! As vegetarians we couldn't see ourselves paying for meat, but Antonio made that so easy for us with a delicious vegetarian menu! We had a lot of compliments on our food!! I would HIGHLY recommend Antonio's catering. His staff was awesome and they helped our day flow without a flaw. Booking Antonio was one of the easiest decisions we had made while wedding planning. Antonio and his staff go above and beyond!! Stop looking and book him already!!!!!

Many of our guests said it was the best food they'd ever eaten. They were bowled over by the courtesy, friendliness and efficiency of the catering staff. They worked hard to make sure everyone had food and drinks filled all the time, and made sure we didn't have to worry over anything, they took care of any issues that came up so we didn't have to do a thing but enjoy our day. Antonio and his staff were the best part of our wedding and I would recommend him for any event without hesitation. -
