  Wonderful documentary-style photos of our NYC wedding

  Anthony was recommended to us by a friend who is a professional documentary photographer. We were looking for someone who could capture special moments at our indoor/outdoor afternoon wedding, and that was Anthony 100%! He brought so much to the documentation of our wedding day — we LOVED seeing the finished album. He let us know exactly what to provide and expect, and handled everything like a pro so we didn't have to worry at all. Even when the father of the bride forgot his tie, Anthony handed his own over without blinking an eye. We highly recommend him!

  Anthony is a wizard with the camera. His work is exceptional. We hired him for our wedding and stayed from 1:30 to 11. I almost never saw him take a break, he just kept getting in the action taking photographs that we didn't even expect. As my wife and I went through the pictures we got emotional as we wondered how and when he got the shots that he did. Not only did he take the absolute best quality photos, he adds an artistic touch that gives them vibrancy. He uses all of his surroundings: windows, mirrors, light, shade and more technical terms that I know nothing about. His true trade is photojournalism, so if you want a wedding photographer who not only takes great pictures where everyone smiles and says "Cheese!," but also chronicles the story of your wedding day, then Anthony is your man. He will capture emotion, intrigue, tears, joy, expressions, movement and sincerity that can only be found when nobody knows their picture is being taken. Additionally, he finished and sent us hundreds of photographs very shortly after our wedding! Though he finished the job quickly, it was anything but rushed. Finally, for all the exceptional work in the time that he accomplished it, he was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Anthony Lanzilote. You will not regret hiring him.

  Anthony did an excellent job capturing the heart and soul of our wedding. His team caught moments that we would have otherwise missed and approach the day like a photojournalist, rather than a fashion photographer. And somehow, he did it in an unobtrusive way, so we barely noticed that we were constantly being followed by cameras. Well worth the investment. And, as a bonus, Anthony is also a really nice guy -- and good presence before the wedding when everyone was a little jittery.

  Anthony photographed our rehearsal dinner and wedding along with Annie, his partner-in-crime (in the good way, no actual crimes were committed). Highest possible recommendation. The photos themselves came out excellent, but you can see that in his portfolio. Anthony himself was just the perfect photographer for us. He's incredibly down to earth and funny, and brought no pretentiousness or ego to the party. Pretty much every time I've been involved in other people's wedding photos I've cringed at the cornball setups and demeanor of the photogs—"Everybody say YAHTZEE!", that sort of thing. Anthony legitimately had me cracking up every time he was shooting, and had a wonderfully intuitive understanding of exactly what kind of vibe we wanted in our photos, even when we didn't have the vocabulary to explain it. Everything was done promptly and with clear communication, and we will make sure that every couple we know that's planning a wedding gets his contact info.
  
  Annie took the getting-ready shots for the groom (me). I hadn't met her before, but if I was skeptical about spending such an important morning with my 3 best friends and a total stranger, she wiped that out immediately. She was just as fun and no-stress as Anthony, and her photos are equally terrific. They both felt like guests at our wedding, who just happened to be taking awesome photos the whole time. Can't thank them enough!

  In short, Anthony was everything my husband and I were looking for in a wedding photographer.

His emphasis on candid shots and being 'invisible' as we went about our day made us feel comfortable while he was shooting, even during portrait shots (hey, every wedding has to have them!).   The proof is in the pudding as they say - aesthetically gorgeous shots that go beyond looking great, they perfectly capture the genuine emotion of the happiest day of our lives. Looking at Anthony's photos evoke great memories for me and my husband, and we look back fondly at working with Anthony as well. In short, he was one of our best choices for a wedding vendor and I couldn't recommend him enough!

  Anthony is an incredibly talented photographer. He takes his work very seriously, which shows in the final result. He did my wedding and engagement pics, and we were thrilled with the results. We receive compliments on our pictures all the time.

  We booked Anthony because we didn't want one of those run-of-the-mill, pose-y, frankly boring wedding photographers.
  
  We wanted to be able to show our children the pictures that encapsulated what mom and dad were really like on their wedding day (slightly refined party animals) and every little detail in between.
  
  Anthony -- a true photojournalist with a sharp eye for the fleeting moment -- captured that and more.
  
  He and his second shooter arrived early to the venue, were in constant communication with myself and my husband about what we needed and wanted and and even lent a helping hand as I was nervously freaking out 20 minutes before the ceremony.
  
  If you're looking for a stiff, conventional wedding shooter who will give you the standard posed-up pics with 150 of your family members using a drone and 18-foot ladder, and if you also have soft purple lighting and smoke machines at your wedding, fine, but Anthony is not the photographer you're looking for -- and he doesn't pretend to be!
  
  He IS exactly what you want if you appreciate the art of storytelling through artfully framed photos, which is exactly what we got. (Anthony and his second photographer caught my mother's boyfriend snoozing in the middle of reception, the priceless faces we pulled during the best man's speech and even my sparkly dancing shoes I changed into halfway through -- these are the photos that are priceless to us.)
  
  I wholeheartedly recommend Anthony as a wedding photographer. Thank you for sharing our day with us!

  This is a photographer adept at scoping out those secret moments that are not noticed by photogs that have to plan every shot. This is an artist that is able to steal a shot without having to take a 1/2 hour to plot it out. He captured the beauty of silent moments in my wedding that I didn't even know existed. He is charming and disarming all in one breath. I loved every moment of working with him. I can't recommend him enough.

  Anthony Lanzilote not only took breathtaking photos that transport me back to the best day of my life every time I look at them (they are really truly magnificent), he also was an integral part of the day that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. He kept me grounded and focused pre-wedding and was supportive throughout the events.   Because Anthony has experience as photojournalist, the photos he took of our wedding were natural, honest, and expressive. The beauty and emotion of the day were beautifully recorded. I would hire him again in a second!

  We were so happy to have the chance to work with Anthony. He captured the spirit of our wedding weekend with beautiful and creative images shot over 2 days in a bunch of settings. Anthony was also really fun to work with and made both of us and our guests feel at ease whether he was doing posed shots or candids. Once it was all done he delivered a huge number of carefully edited, beautiful photos to us at a very fair price. We recommend him highly.
