Anne was fantastic, I would highly recommend. I am not the most makeup savvy person so was worried I wouldn't be able to convey my style intentions - Anne was perfect and her client communication skills made me feel so comfortable. I love how all her brides (including me) didn't look like they just had good makeup, they looked like their most beautiful self. If you want someone who will make you feel comfortable, like yourself, and absolutely gorgeous, stop looking and just hire Anne! -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Anne's hair and makeup team (Kirsten & Liz)! They were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. From the initial trial to the big day, they were kind, professional, and incredibly talented. They took the time to really listen to what each of us wanted and made everyone feel comfortable and confident.
On the wedding day, they showed up early, stayed perfectly on schedule, and created stunning looks for me, my bridesmaids, and even my mom. Everyone looked and felt beautiful—and our hair and makeup lasted all day through tears, hugs, dancing, and everything in between.
Their calming energy made the getting-ready process so relaxed and fun, which was such a gift on a busy morning. I truly felt like the best version of myself, and I’m so grateful to have had them by my side.

Ann and her team made our makeup/hair session one of the highlights of an altogether wonderful day. They made the experience a lot of fun for my bridesmaids and self, and the results were wonderful! The team was set up and ready when we got there. They listened and did a fantastic job of creating the looks we wanted. I had the pleasure of working with Beth and Heather on my wedding day and not only did they do an incredible job but they had the best attitudes and brought exactly the kind of energy you want around you as you start off your big day. My hair and makeup held up amazingly through the a long day of moving and dancing. They did a wonderful job with the hair and makeup for my family and bridal party as well, they were all so happy with the results! From booking, Anne was super friendly and responsive to all of my questions and provided tons of helpful information about how to best prepare. I have super thin hair and Anne was useful in helping me find extensions and a hairstyle that works best with them. I was thrilled that I got to work with the Anne Timss team on my wedding day, they are all delightful people who do a great job with their craft and I would highly recommend booking them! -

Anne is absolutely amazing!! She styled my friend's wedding a few years back and I knew right away that I wanted her to style mine as well (whenever the time came). I was blessed to be able to book Anne for our elopement this summer on Mount Baker!! From our initial consultation, to my trial session, and finally our wedding day Anne was quick to answer all of my beauty related questions and gave great advice on hair extension options to add volume and helped me reach my dream wedding hair style. She also referred me to her STELLAR teammate Kirsten who helped bring life and definition to my once dull/drab hair color. Anne was very patient with us as we continued to add more styling services for members of our wedding party or family, and she helped us rework our timeline when we had to change our ceremony plans completely just 2 weeks before our big day!!

Anne and her team came highly recommended but she also has become a friendly face as I had my makeup and hair done for my sisters wedding in 2017 and another friends wedding is 2020. She is friendly, quick to respond, efficient, and reliable. The makeup is flawless & the lashes are mt favorite! With how the year has been, she unfortunately got Covid but without any hesitation, she had her team fill in who did equally a great job! She had backup help immediately and knew how to troubleshoot. I couldn’t imagine any other team for my wedding! It was perfect and my hair & makeup stayed until the next morning! ☺️ -

Anne is the best!!!
Anne did my hair and makeup for my hiking elopement in August 2021, and she was nothing short of phenomenal. I chose her at the recommendation of my photographer. I am super grateful she was available for my date!
We had a consultation via Zoom a month or so ahead of my wedding (we were traveling cross-country to get married). Just the video consultation immediately put me at ease - She listened to my ideas and didn't seem fazed that I didn't have a very clear idea of what I wanted. Anne has such a professional, easy-going demeanor, and I knew I was going to be in good hands.
On the day of our elopement, Anne arrived right on schedule to our Airbnb. She was so easy to chat with and I felt so pampered while she did my hair and makeup! Everything came out beautifully, and held up SO WELL for the course of the day!! My only request for my hair was for it to be completely up and secure so I wouldn't have to worry about it while we were hiking around the mountains, and it did. not. budge. I absolutely love how she did my makeup - it was natural like I was hoping for, and I still looked like me (but better?). It was light and breathable, and super long lasting. Nothing smudged or faded the whole day - I didn't even have to reapply lipstick! Even my new husband couldn't stop raving about Anne - I don't think she even pulled out of the Airbnb driveway before he was saying how great of a job she did and how much he liked her.
Long review short, if you're considering hiring Anne and she is available for your day, especially if you have an active elopement/wedding day planned - DO IT! She is the very best. -

Where to begin!! I highly recommend Anne for your hair and makeup for your big day! I feel so lucky to have had Anne and her team for my elopement day. Anne is a true artist and made the vision I had for my elopement look come to life. I had makeup & hair done for myself and 3 others. Anne and her team are so talented and handled all of us, our different personalities and desires so well. It was so much fun to hang out with her that morning and she created such a relaxing vibe. My hair and makeup looked flawless all day and into the night - even on a sunset hike! Thank you so much for your expertise Anne! We would have been lost without you. I would recommend her over and over again, book her for your wedding or elopement - you will be so happy you did!! -

THE G.O.A.T of Hair & Makeup
Whew’ where to begin… I’ll start with hands down brilliant at what she does.
I booked Anne in 2020 for our Iceland elopement before the pandemic hit and before we had any clue what effect it had on our plans. Anne held out with us all the way until our plane flights were cancelled due to the international travel ban. Anne was 100% supportive and flexible when we decided to postpone a full year and pick up at the same time and place in 2021.
Once we got the green light to travel and finally made it to Iceland it felt like we were old friends reunited (even though we’d never met in person). Anne is such a great human being and so easy to talk with. To me, that was important because we’d be spending a few hours together getting ready so it’s nice to be able to have good conversation and to feel comfortable.
I ended up giving Anne complete artist freedom with my hair and makeup because I trusted she would nail it ! She took all the Iceland elements into consideration to make sure my look would be cooperative for our photos. Iceland had the craziest storm roll in on our wedding day and Anne made sure my hair and makeup was not going anywhere, even in 60 mph winds and pelting rain. It held up to the test ! My makeup was still in great shape after being in the rain. She is amazing at what she does and even gave me a little goodie bag with emergency touch up items.
We made some changes to our elopement plan last min due to the weather and planned to do sunrise the next morning to finish off our elopement. She was a life saver and came back the next morning bright and early and got me glammed up for day two. Anne is the G.O.A.T of elopement hair and makeup and has an impressive career and business to prove it. I hands down would recommend her 1000 times over. I promise, you will be so happy you did. -

After having a couple of HMU artists not work out due to communication issues, Anne promptly responded to my email and booked me in for my elopement last minute and also dealt with my last minute changes without any hesitation. She was very easy to talk to during our session and perfectly executed exactly what I wanted for my "makeup but no makeup" look! My hair and makeup lasted 10+ hours through a whole day of walking and hiking from hot to cold weather (which was amazing because makeup never stays on my face for longer than a couple of hours) and my normally flat hair had volume, was bouncy, and she blended my extension row in seamlessly. My main concern was not wanting to look overdone or not look like myself on my wedding day and Anne knocked it out of the park! -

Anne was amazing from start to finish. Due to my wedding being “Plan C,” we did not incorporate a trial. Anne showed up onsite for my big day, and she was tasked with driving up my flowers from my florist, too! We went over a few photos to give her an idea of what I wanted, and she set to work. Both my makeup and hair looked fabulous—it was soft and romantic and stayed in place all day. Anne sent me along with a touch up kit, which was a nice touch. I used the blotting sheets right before the ceremony and sprayed my hair to keep it from getting too crazy in the wind. Overall, I would recommend Anne and her talents 110%. She made me feel like a queen! -

Anne is absolutely amazing! I was anxious about booking my HMU artist for my wedding because I don't have a great relationship with my hair and I don't wear make-up regularly. I still had a vision of how I wanted to look (and feel!) on my wedding day, but was nervous about finding someone I felt comfortable with when I feel so out of my depth in this area. I expressed some of this nervousness to Anne, and over a glass of wine we talked about my ideas and her vision. I was incredibly impressed by her professional experience and comforted by her warm energy, and knew she was the person I wanted around on my wedding day.
This confidence was confirmed during my HMU trial, when Anne and Jess whipped up my perfect look in what felt like minutes. The day of the wedding Anne and Jess arrived and were set up early. They did both mothers' make-up and all my bridesmaids hair, and everyone felt beautiful and confident in their looks. They even finished well ahead of schedule, so we had an easy and relaxing morning. My hair and make-up looked just as good 12 hours later after an incredible day and night of dancing.
I cannot recommend Anne and her team more! Book them now, you will not regret it! -

I booked Anne & Jess very last minute for my shotgun wedding and right from the jump Anne was such a dream to work with! Her communication with us was strong and prompt from the beginning, which made us feel that much more confident about booking her.
Their prices are standard, but what really hooked me in was that unlike many other stylists the hair & makeup trial cost is included. They have a warmth to them that put me at ease right away. During our trial session I shared some initial inspo photos and then just trusted their judgement and experience and let them do their thing. Every step of the experience they verbalize what they were doing, asked if I liked it and felt comfortable with the looks and we're very receptive to feedback.
On the day of our wedding the whole team was amazing. On time, very professional, and very timely with their work. Both ladies were incredibly accommodating and super sweet!
My husband couldn't make it to the hotel as we had planned since he had extra things to set up at our venue, so Jessica ended up packing it all up and meeting him at the site to do his hair and touch up his face. She even threw in a quick touch up for our daughter (hair, cheeks and lip). I was so touched by her going the extra mile.

I am so grateful to have had Anne & her team on my side the day of my wedding ( & leading up to it)! Anne made the process so easy and smooth not just for myself, the bride, but also for my bridesmaids and moms, they were all very happy they had a HMUA with an awesome personable team!
I received lots of compliments on my hair and makeup and I truly felt beautiful inside and out, as Anne helped me achieve a natural glam look! She wasn't offended by my asking to do my own brows (very personal), she welcomed it! Jessica was also amazing and fun to work with! Anne and her team truly cater to their clients and the look they envision for that special occasion!

From the moment I booked with Anne, she was responsive and incredibly informative and helpful. My trial was very smooth and she even gave me tips on how to prep my skin before my wedding day. Her experience in this business is like none other. She’s an incredible artist and a beautiful talent. On my wedding day, she made everyone feel their absolute best! My make up was exactly what I wanted it to be and I’ve never felt more beautiful. Her assistant Jessica, did my hair and she is also incredible! I found Anne through a friend and looked at her work on Instagram and immediately knew I had to book her for my wedding. Her makeup artistry was exactly what I wanted. Anne was professional, relaxed and so personable throughout the entire process. She was happy to answer all my questions and give me tips/tricks for weeks/days before the big day. I brought my mom along for the makeup and hair trial a few months before my wedding, and my mom was even blown away with how amazing Anne was--hair and makeup aside, Anne goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and in a good mood! On my wedding day, Anne and an amazing group of woman came up to Whidbey Island (at 5:30AM!!) and styled me, my mom, my mother in law and my EIGHT bride maids in a relaxed, calm fashion. I'm still in awe they were able to wrangle us all and transform us within a whole morning. Anne and her crew were so thoughtful, listened to all of our requests and made us all feel relaxed on the big day! I had a bunch of cancellations and ended up looking for makeup and hair stylist within 2 wks of our elopement. Anne was so responsive to my messages after suffering through no response people with a super last minute, out in the middle of nowhere style need. But let me tell you, when you've been sick for days and have had no sleep for 2 nights in a row and dealing with a sick and grumpy non-sleeping toddler with a sunrise elopement, the hope you'll look somewhat decent is slim to none. But Anne and Jessica were some fairy godmothers working some magic on my frizz hair and dark circled puff face at 5am. I loveddd how it all turned out and felt so beautiful! I was on the coast being rained on and hiked half a mile for our ceremony in the mud and all, but my hair and makeup on my sister and I still held up! Book them, you will not be disappointed! -

I hired Anne about 5 months into my 2 year engagement. That being sais, I had a long time to get to know her and although I was on the other side of the country, felt like not only did I hire an artist for my hair (and makeup artist for my sister) but also made a friend. Anne was very friendly and professional from moment one. I am from New York, and was getting married in New Orleans. Unbeknownst to me, Anne was actually from Washington State, but was listed as a vendor for New Orleans, and after fawning over her amazing work, hired her as my artist. She actualy cleared everything up when she told me she does weddings all over the world and spends most of Octiber in New Orleans Styling Weddings and events, so my wedding would fit right in with everything. I was thrilled. Fast worward a year and a half and Anne arrived at my hotel in the French Quarter, and created the most magical, insanely stunning and romantic hairstyle I've ever seen. It was exactally what i was picturing and couldnt be happier. Not only was everyone commenting on my hair in awe, people were still complimenting it the NEXT DAY, after partying all night, sleeping on it and going to a boozy brunch the next morning. It lasted almost 48 hours before I needed to wash my hair haha. I am so so thankful, not only for the amazing work she did on me (shes a hair magician ladies), she made my very insecure sister who never wears makeup due to rosacea and other skin issues, look like a glowing, confident woman who was comfortable enough to hold her head high as my bridesmaid. She kept looking at herself in reflection and smiling, really meant the world to me. Don't hesitate to hire Anne, you will be so happy you did! -

I am a person who does not wear makeup day to day but I wanted to look "picture perfect" for what was the most photographed day of my life. Beth and Jessica were so much fun to spend my morning with and I wish they could be around while I got ready every morning. They effortlessly captured the vibe I was going for and helped transform me into Wedding Me. The makeup lasted forever -- I got ready at around 7am and the makeup didn't budge until I vigorously scrubbed my face that night. She not only got me ready for our day before shoot but came to the rescue when I had been ill the entire night before the wedding! She helped modify the schedule and set me up with a much needed face mask for my dark circles! Anne's team was amazing!
I had such a great time with Anne's team. They were able to handle our HUGE party (we had women on both sides) and everyone looked AMAZING. I was so pleased after my trial, and asked for a change day-of that I ended up not wanting and they were able to switch back no problem. I always hate asking for someone to change something, but they totally were encouraging and I felt really comfortable asking for exactly what I wanted - which is what you need as a bride!
The only reason I rate 3 stars for responsiveness is we had some issues getting a timeline worked out on email and it took about a month rather than a week or two. I think as soon as they have someone who is able to be in charge of planning and communicating, that will help run things smoother! Even with that, I would still recommend them and think they are some of the best hair/makeup people out there! -

I’m not one to write reviews often, but I'm hoping this information will be helpful to others, as it would have been more helpful for myself. The whole vibe the morning of my wedding was affected when Anne arrived due to her combativeness with services, and general air of arrogance. I think she carries this personality because she’s one of the few hair and make up professionals who will travel/do elopements, and I think that has gone a bit to her head. I booked Anne for my wedding on Whidbey Island at my grandmothers home last week, not because her work was stunning, but because it looked good enough, she was one of the few choices willing to travel to the island, and both hair and make up could be done. During the trial, she had an interesting personality, but seemed to warm up as the session went on even though she had a rough around the edge vibe. During the trial she said the things she would do differently come wedding day, which I agreed with and felt good about.
Flash forward to wedding day: Anne and her partner were late because they “had to stop to get Whidbey bagels”, then during their set up, we had to ask them to move their car due to a planning issue on our end, to which she replied to my family member that she’s on a time schedule and that’s going to cut into the time. Um ma’am, you were late to begin with, moving your car isn’t going to be the setback. Next up, she did my mom’s hair. Now, my mom had extensions for Anne to work with that (unnoticed by me) were not the same color as my mom’s hair. Now I get that Anne’s job is to basically do what she is being asked by her clients, but don’t you think after being in the industry so long she would have a nice way to say, these are not your hair color and I don’t think these are going to work out? (Especially since she didn’t seem to have any issues voicing her thoughts about styles as the morning went on). Well she didn’t do anything like that, instead she did what my mom asked, and when my mom left the chair, her hair looked like shit. Like, as a professional, I don’t know how she looked at it and thought, that’s so beautiful and I’m really proud of that. After discussing this with her she said, “Well we’re still doing touch ups before we leave.” Were you really? Because wouldn’t you have said that as my mom got up, that “We’ll come back to it later”?? She only said that once she was called out, and it happened again with my hair. She did not bring the extra thing to put in my bun to make it look thicker, as she said she would during the trial, and the way she worked my layers into my hair during the trial was nothing like what she did on my wedding day. Now, my hairstylist at home did cut layers to frame my face that were shorter than expected and during the trial, but at one point towards the end of my hair, she asked what I thought, and when I told her I didn’t like my layers in the front, she messed with them in ways I also didn’t like, then told me she wasn’t finished and I should “trust the process”. Wouldn’t it have made more sense to say “What do you think about this so far? It’s not quite finished, but I want your input”. Every time my mom or I asked about something we didn’t love that she did, her response was always “Well…” or “So…” and then she’d explain why she wasn’t able to do something or that’s why she was doing it a certain way. Where were all these opinions during my moms hair fiasco? The problem is that we paid this woman a lot of money, and instead of doing that we wanted, she would combat us and tell us why she couldn’t. After she left, I fixed my mom’s hair, even though I paid this woman over $1,000 to provide this service. By the time my make up came around, I told her some of the changes and she did ok with that, but again, was combative and a little insulting. I told her I had gotten more tan since the trial so I wanted to make sure everything blended well and she said “You aren’t that tan.” Now I know I wasn’t a bronzed goddess, but have you ever worked with a bride before? Maybe don’t insult her hours before her wedding when you’ve (again) been paid a lot of money to provide a service on a day a bride doesn’t need to hear insults.
With all this being said, everything came out OK, pictures looked great, but what an icky couple hours. I wouldn’t wish that on any other bride. The icing on the personality cake was when my friend asked her for one small clear elastic, if she had one to spare, to which she replied to my friend with a gallon of attitude, “I just packed up all my hair stuff.” God forbid you grab a clear elastic out of your bag! Maybe she was just having a bad day, but I don’t need to deal with someone’s bad day on my special day. -

Poor quality hair & makeup
The engagement hair and makeup: My hairstyle lasted all day and was what I wanted and said I wanted. The makeup was not spectacular and I wasn’t fully happy with the outcome.
For the wedding trial hair and makeup, Jessica and Anne not only didn’t listen to what I wanted but also dismissed what I wanted. The hairstyle didn’t last past 45 minutes. The braid was falling apart and looked messy. For makeup, I really wanted contouring on my nose and was told I shouldn’t contour it and she didn’t. She never used primers, setting sprays, or any products which help makeup look great and last all day. When I let them know the hairstyle didn’t last past 45 minutes, they expected me to pay $200 for a new hair trial. I was told that Anne had no time for a new makeup trial. The picture attached is of the outcome of my hair wedding trial after the appointment.
The contract date was incorrect by a month. When I asked Anne to please correct the contract date, she stated by email that she would fix it when she returned from a trip. Several days after her return, the contract date had not been fixed. For all of these reasons, I terminated the contract by email and sent a certified letter. She responded to the termination of contract by email promptly and professionally. -
