From the start of planning all the way to the end, AM beauty was incredibly professional and amazing to work with. The trial for my bridal hair and makeup was super professional and a great way to get to know the team. Ana and her team were amazing on wedding day. She gave us a beautiful outlined timeline and then was AHEAD of schedule. I have been a part of many weddings and hair and makeup almost never run on time, or even ahead of schedule. This allowed me to feel so relaxed on wedding day and be able to enjoy the process of watching everyone get ready. It also allowed for some extra time for a few quick toasts with bridesmaids and some extra photos. Seriously, hire Ana and her team. Amazing Team! Best in the DMV
Norma has been amazing to work with, from the make-up trial to the wedding day itself, she has been very easing to talk to, was really listening with what my vision was for my look and and did great with the tweaks i requested. She was very professional and was on time. I received compliments all day about my HMU. Both my mother-in-law and MOH were also really impressed with how their HMU turned out.
Ana was also really responsive when it comes to my questions and was very great at giving recommendations.
Couldnt recommend them enough. And based on my own research when it comes to prices of HMU in the DMV area, they have one of the most reasonable.

Ana and her team made my day fabulous! Ana was so gracious during the hiring process, even hopping on the phone with me to answer questions and making tweaks to the contract when we had a switch in bridal party. What stood out to me is that at the trial, she suggested I wear my hair and make up for a full day to see how it held up and then to reach out with any feedback. I have naturally oily skin so I wasn’t surprised that I did get shiny fairly quickly with a full face of makeup, but she applied something magical on my face the day of our wedding and I did not have to touch it up once! No shine! Laura did my hair for the trial and gave clear directions for what kind of trim I needed to make the framing pieces out of my updo work and came up for a plan when I lost a little more hair in that trim than planned. They sent a detailed schedule with which artist was working with which girl at exactly what time. They stuck to this schedule, even offering to substitute girls when there was a small dress fiasco to keep us on schedule. As a member in other weddings, I’ve seen the day run behind due to hair and make up, but Ana and her team made sure that was not an issue! I’ve never felt as beautiful as my wedding day, thank you Ana and team!

Book these Makeup and hair artists!! My wedding day was outdoors with very high winds with up to 40mph gusts and my hair and makeup along with all of my bridesmaids survived the literal wind storm! Through the tears and watery eyes and the hair being tossed all over, we all came away with no smudges and curls intact! The makeup and hair survived the sweat and humidity of dancing as well, and was very long lasting, from 10am to 3am. Julianne and Laura were miracle workers and made us all look amazing, working with everything from different hair textures and thicknesses, to different skin tones. They were easy! BOOK THEM!!!

Ana Merces Killed It!
I had a large bridal party - 11 bridesmaids, 1 mother in law, and 2 of my younger cousins who all had their HMU done by AM Beauty group. First off, Ana was so quick with correspondence and clear with all instructions given. Second, her team was able to finish everyone between 7-11:45 AM - I have never seen such efficiency in such a small amount of time! Lastly, all my bridesmaids looked beautiful, and they all said they felt beautiful that day which was my only wish. I really appreciated that the makeup artists were people of color, as my group of Indian women had a wide variety of skin tones and hair types. Thank you for making my bridesmaids the prettiest girls in the room!

Glam waves for days
Really enjoyed working with Ana and her team. I had 12 adults and 2 flower girls receive hair and makeup on my wedding day, including me. Ana recommended 2 artists for hair and 2 artists for makeup. Everything ran smoothly and there was plenty of time for touch ups. My hair and makeup were exceptional. I did not need to use extensions for glam waves. My hair stayed the entire night and looked awesome with my side hair piece! I also loved how natural my makeup looked. The trial gave me confidence for day-of. AM Beauty Group is the absolute best! Ana was very professional, responsive, and answered all my questions from booking to the final confirmations. Ana and her team were exceptional to work with! From the moment I booked them as a vendor, the hair and makeup trial was exactly what I hoped it would be- they accommodated every request/inspiration I shared with them! Ana helped me navigate payment on her website and was super helpful. Fast forward to my wedding day. They were an absolute dream to work with. They accommodated my large group of 14 services! They were punctual, extremely professional and absolute sweethearts! Not to mention my hair and makeup was FLAWLESS!!! I was finished with my glam by 3:30pm for a 6pm ceremony (pictures before the ceremony) and I still looked fresh at midnight. The quality of their work was unmatched and the makeup was completely tearproof. 10/10 would recommend them for wedding glam and I hope to book them for another occasion in the future.

Best bridal morning ever
I cannot recommend Ana and her girls enough. From the trial to the day of look they were talented, responsive, kind, and understanding. I asked for a fairy princess look for my wedding and holy cow did they deliver. I have never felt to beautiful in my life with gorgeous lashes and rosy cheeks and MY HAIR! My hair was curled with half up half down braids and dried flowers laced in it. It was insane. On top of that I had like 10 or so girls get both hair and makeup done that morning (a big ask), and the ladies set up shop in my house and everyone looked so stunning. It made everyone feel really special. Can’t recommend enough - you cannot go wrong choosing Ana for your wedding day.

AMAZING! Highly recommend them!
Finding a HMU team was probably one of the most stressful parts of planning my wedding. I did a trial with another group and hated it but thankfully, I found Ana and her team shortly afterward. I was very clear about what I wanted for makeup and they 100% delivered. I was between a few hairstyles and we worked together to figure out what I truly wanted and again, they delivered. TLDR I highly recommend this group and would 100% work with them again.
I had a Catholic wedding, which unfortunately meant getting up early but Ana didn't make us get up unnecessarily early like several other groups said we'd need to, and she was happy to bring along several people to get the job done on time. In total, there were 9 people getting HMU services, including me. We started at 730am with 2 hairstylists and 2 makeup artists and were ready around 11am--right on schedule.
I took Ana's advice beforehand and really focused on my skincare and it totally paid off. She and others couldn't stop commenting on how good my skin looked. Apparently, I was glowing--gotta love the compliments on a day like that! I ended up needing less coverage and my makeup looked great until I washed it off in the early hours of the next morning. I thought I'd sweat it off after dancing, but nope. Laura did my hair and again, she did a great job. It held up and wore so well throughout the day. I bought extensions and they really helped complete the look.
I didn't catch the other team members' names/don't remember now because it's been several weeks, but I know everyone was super happy with the way their services turned out. Some people wanted full coverage MU, while others went for the natural look--the team listened to everyone before, during, and after to make sure they were truly happy and I really appreciated that, as did they.
I found their prices to be super reasonable and their work to be amazing!

I booked Ana and Laura for hair and make-up for my wedding and I couldn’t be happier! I loved my pre-trial and we just made 2 small changes for the big day. They were able to do hair and make-up for 6 of us the morning of my wedding and absolutely hit the nail on the head for the “soft glam” look. They did 4 of us in the bridal party and did the two moms with more mature skin. Everyone looked beautiful and loved the experience of getting all done up! In addition, all of us who got make-up done got to try false eyelashes which was just a fun little addition! I would definitely recommend booking with them (and book fast they filled up very quickly, I almost missed my own shot)!

I cannot recommend AM Beauty Group enough. Finding a hair and makeup team was my biggest vendor challenge during the wedding planning process. From their responsiveness to my initial inquiry, to my trial at their gorgeous glam studio to my wedding day, their artists and team were an absolute pleasure to work with!
Juliette and Maria did my hair and makeup and achieved exactly what I was looking for! I usually do my own hair and makeup for the 8+ weddings I've been a bridesmaid in because I am so picky and they NAILED it. Juliette does such incredible skin prep that was absolutely foundational to a long lasting makeup look that sat on my skin perfectly! This is SO hard to find with makeup artists! Maria took the time to learn my hair type and styled it exactly how I wanted it (a down-do which I had trouble finding portfolios for!)
My mother, mother in law, bridesmaids and flower girls looked and felt beautiful on my wedding day - all ranging from women who don't wear makeup at all to those who are great at doing their own glam. Plus, they were such a calming, lovely presence in my bridal suite!!

Liz and Sandy were our team for my bridal party on my wedding day and they did such a good job!! My bridesmaids were all very happy with their final look- even the one who is more of a tomboy and had reservations was happy and she can be hard to please sometimes. Liz did both my hair and make up and as someone who never wears make up she made me feel beautiful while still feeling natural. I highly recommend this team and will be using them for future local events where I want a little more zhuzh. They also finished all of us right on schedule.

Ana and her team were amazing! They put up with me being almost an hour late to my trial and still took their time to make sure my look was what I wanted. They took photos at the trial to remember how to re-create the look and took notes on changes to make for the day of. On the day of, they arrived on time. They would have finished on time if we had not added one person for hair/makeup at the last minute (this was the one thing I wish they had done differently - they told us there was enough time to squeeze another person in but in reality it put us an hour behind schedule so it probably would have been best if they just refused.) But, I can’t fault them too much for trying to make everyone happy. Overall, I had a great experience with Ana and her team and would highly recommend! Me and my bridesmaids felt so beautiful.

Wedding Elopement Shoot
Ana and Elizabeth did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my elopement shoot. AM Beauty was great!
When researching places and people to do the hair and make up for myself and 6-7 other girls for my wedding, Ana was the only person I contacted who responded and answered all my questions. Most other places sent automated messages that just gave me information. Ana and all the girls who work with her are all very professional, fun and personable. They truly care and want to do their best to make everyone feel beautiful. And make your special day perfect. Ana takes the time to get to know her brides. She was not able to personally do my hair and make up but she still met with me during my first trial to get to know me and when I did not like my initial make up she immediately set up for a free second trial with a different make up artist who she felt would be a better match for me. All of the ladies who work with Ana Merces are very talented make up and hair artists. I highly recommend Ana and her team! They are awesome!

Your search is done - you want Ana on your wedding team!
If you are looking for a wedding style team that not only makes you (and your crew) LOOK beautiful, but also FEEL beautiful and celebrated, look no further! I cannot recommend Ana and her team enough. On my big day, Ana and Liz provided bridal hair and makeup, and bridesmaid makeup services. These two ladies were fantastic.
For the bridal makeup look, Ana was extremely thoughtful and responsive to all of my questions and thoughts (for example, I told her that I was having issues with dry skin and she brought me a hydrating face mask for the morning of my wedding!). I have limited knowledge of makeup, but Ana was so easy to work with and very adeptly took my thoughts about my bridal look and translated it into the perfect presentation. She used high quality products and personalized the makeup regime to fit my specific skin needs and desired look.
I have naturally curly hair and knew that I was in good hands as soon as I met Liz. She was so much fun to work with and a master at styling hair. I remember on my wedding morning, Liz commented that she had studied the photos that she took of my hair at the bridal trial and had a few ideas of small changes that would strengthen the look (the inspiration was a "Greek goddess"-type style that used my natural curls) and she was totally right! That kind of commitment to "getting it just right" and thoughtfulness from both her for my hair, and Ana for my makeup, is really what made these ladies exceptional stylists.
Several of my bridesmaids and both mothers commented how much they loved their makeup done by Ana and Liz, and how much they appreciated that Ana and Liz actually listened to what their preferences were and provided looks that made them feel glamorous and comfortable, while still remaining within the general wedding aesthetic.
Ana and Liz were also perfect on-site support on the day of the wedding. They were calm, fun, and worked quickly the whole morning. I also appreciated how flexible they were when the "getting ready schedule" got a little off schedule. They rolled with the last minute changes and provided a positive and affirming presence through the whole experience. They also followed very strict COVID and hygiene protocols, which made all of us feel very comfortable too. You will not regret booking this style team!!

Great talent and service - a team with heart!
I loved working with Ana Merces and her team. I looked and felt like myself, but elevated to a princess status through their amazing work and talent. Not only is she extremely talented with makeup, but her hair stylist team was also amazing. They all listen to the clients closely, and they even helped my hair and makeup look better than I had pictured it!! We had to change the time and location of our wedding, due to COVID-19 regulations, and Ana and her team were flexible and understanding. My mom has previously done professional makeup for weddings and has never loved the results - this time, ,she was amazed and happy, and Ana was critical in achieving this. My mom said she felt like herself, but much better. I highly recommend Ana and her team to make your wedding dream look come true.

I felt fabulous on my special day!
I booked Ana Merces’s services for my civil ceremony. Ana was wonderful from start to finish as my MUA. Part of her team and hairstylist, Elizabeth Perez, was there for my hair design. It was a nice surprise to have two professionals come to my house, as I was only expecting one when I first booked. I was glad to have them both, because my makeup and hair design was finished earlier than expected. I felt relaxed, enjoyed my time, and did not need rush before leaving my house. They both genuinely care about their brides. Their skills and expertise show through their amazing work. Ana, who is the owner and lead makeup artist, listens and works with you beforehand to understand your vision for your special day. They were both very kind and professional, and any bride who hires Ana Merces’s services will feel comfortable and at ease.

I found Ana in the final month before my wedding, when my wedding location changed and my original makeup artist couldn’t travel there due to COVID. It was a total blessing in disguise, as I cannot imagine anyone making me look as good as Ana did on my wedding day, and with so little effort on my part! All I did was send Ana a few inspiration photos, and she masterfully applied my makeup. I’m pretty picky about things, but when Ana held up a mirror there was absolutely nothing I wanted changed. Moreover, Ana was incredibly professional to work with, followed COVID precautions carefully, and arrived at my getting-ready spot early so that she was completely set up well before I was done with hair and ready for makeup. Ana did AMAZING work for me, my mother and my 3 bridesmaids! She is such a friendly easing going person. Whenever I had any questions I knew I could always get a hold of her and if I didn't she always responded in a timly fashion. Her make up collection is HUGE and she really knows what she is doing! She remembered everything for our trial and came fully prepared and on time to the hotel the day of. She was always upbeat with a great attitude. Also as an African American bride and many different "shades" of girls in my bridal party it was very important to me that the artist I worked with knew what tones would compliant our skin. Ana nailed this hands down. We looked very natural just what I was looking for! She had no issue with traveling all the way to Gettysburg, PA where the venue was. Her price was so far and reasonable for all she provided and I would definitly recommend the airbrush for your whole party! It looks flawless and it lasted all night even through my tears. You couldn't even tell I cried! I didn't want to take it off when the night was over I was so in love with it! She even brought my mother who NEVER wears make up and is a bit of a Tom boy to tears when she saw herself that is a moment I will have forever :) Great job Ana!! Thank you again! Ana did a fantastic job for my make-up for my wedding day, and I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional look for any special occasion! I typically do not wear a lot of make-up, so when it came to my wedding, I wanted to make sure that I had a natural look that left me feeling like a better version of myself, and Ana delivered exactly that. During the make-up trial, Ana tried a variety of high end products that would photograph well, and took her time to apply full make-up so I knew exactly how things would turn out on my wedding day. I also picked up some general tips and advice from her about incorporating some of the products she used into my daily routine which was very helpful. On the wedding day, Ana traveled to my venue and was on time and on schedule. My make-up lasted throughout the day without any touch-ups needed. She does provide you with the lipstick she ends up using on you which was which much appreciated. Ana was very nice to work with, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for special event make-up!

Ana Merces did an amazing job providing make-up services for me and my 3 bridesmaids. Being Asian, we required someone who knew how to work with almond-shaped eyes and she definitely enhanced the look of them. During my trial, she applied a different style to each eye and was very helpful in determining what looked best. For the wedding, the make-up was stunning and her airbrushing made my skin look absolutely flawless (and it's definitely not). One of my bridesmaids even said that she looked better than she did on her own wedding day. Tons of guests, as well as my mom, who is in the make-up business, said she did an awesome job. If you're looking for a make-up artist for your wedding, I highly recommend Ana.

Ana is amazing! During the trial I brought in a picture of what I wanted to look like and she was able to duplicate the look beautifully. In addition, my trial was scheduled for 10 am and my airbrush makeup stayed fresh up until 11 pm when I washed it off. On the wedding day she did makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and my mom and had us ready with time to spare. Everyone loved their makeup, and again, we all looked as fresh at when the reception ended as we did when started earlier that morning. I would recommend Ana to anyone. She has a very pleasant disposition and is truly great at what she does. I will surely have her do my makeup for future events.

I cannot say enough good things about Ana. I am an NJ bride whose engagement party was in Washington DC. I found her name off a recommendation from the knot from a MD bride. Ana did my makeup for my engagement party. I got soo many compliments. I had already booked a makeup artist for my wedding in NJ, but I (and my mom) knew that we had to have Ana do my makeup for my wedding. I asked her if she would be willing to travel up to NJ to do my makeup, and she said yes!
My wedding was on a Saturday, and she came up Friday night and stayed in a hotel room. She stayed with me ALL day on Saturday and stayed over in a hotel Saturday night as well. She was always right there to do touch-ups, but I only needed lipstick touch ups. Everything stayed so well all day.
Not only is Ana is super sweet and gorgeous, she is also an incredible makeup artist! It is obvious how much I respect her work, seeing as though I had her come all the way up to NJ to do my makeup.

There is SO much I could say about Ana! She was bright, energetic, smart, fun, personable, and PROFESSIONAL! We had such a blast at our trial and then she was 100% business on the day of the wedding. She was on-time and courteous and I am BEYOND pleased with her work! Ana made myself, my mom and ALL my girls look just gorgeous! She was right on time with getting everyone done (even the extras that jumped in when they saw her work) and was more than accommodating to my minor adjustments right before I left. I told her I wanted bright eyes and a natural lip while one of my girls wanted a 20's style look to match her hair - perfect on both! Ana also did my best friend's wedding in November - which, of course, is why I booked her immediately after getting engaged and setting a date. I would recommend Ana to everyone! She is a joy to be around and has a TON of products! A+++ job!!!!!

Ana did my makeup as well as 2 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. The makeup looked great the day of, very natural and it looks great in the photographs. At our trial, Ana gave me several options and we tried different things. She dealt with several schedule changes we had before the day of the wedding and arrived on time. I liked that she came to our hotel to do our makeup, it was much less stressful than having to go somewhere else. Ana was calm and efficient on the day of the wedding. Since I don't wear much makeup normally, it was a big help to have someone so knowledgeable doing my makeup. I also really liked the makeup bag with everyone's lipsticks and blotting papers for the day of the wedding.

Ana's makeup looked great on me and the bridesmaids and Mom! And it lasted ALLLL night! Ana was totally responsive and so much fun to work with. She made me feel completely at ease during the trial and I was so happy with what she'd done. She did a great job on the wedding day makeup and I can't wait to see the professional photos. She is super familiar with what products are out there and what works and looks good. And I loved the bride's pouch with the lipstick and mascara and blotting papers!
It was super convenient to have Ana come to the hotel and do our makeup there.

Ana was a delight to work with! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day as did all of my bridesmaids. I was interested in a very natural look for my wedding, which she gave me. I never felt like I had too much makeup caked on, but still felt beautiful. Ana brings an assistant with her on the wedding day and they work together quickly and efficiently to get all the girls done in time. Ana was spectacular! I rarely wear makeup, so my husband was concerned when I wanted to hire a makeup artist. He was worried that I was going to look too "done up." But he said that when I walked down the aisle I looked gorgeous but still like myself.
Ana provided makeup services for me, my mother, my sister and two bridesmaids in under 2.5 hours in the early morning and it lasted throughout the day's events (and we had a lot of tears of joy). She is very professional and very talented. And of all the trials that I had, she was the only one who really seemed to listen to what I wanted while still providing her professional expertise (a lot of other places kept making me look over-the-top despite my repeatedly telling them that I wanted a natural look for a daytime wedding). With Ana, the makeup totally made me look fantastic, while still natural and understated.

Ana did a great job on my makeup, and the makeup of one of my bridesmaids. She was on time, and took her time, but finished with plenty of time to spare. My makeup stayed flawless (loved the airbrush foundation) from the time I had it done (10am) until the end of the reception (11pm). She even brought an assistant even though there were only 2 of us being done. I'd definitely recommend Ana and her team.

Both at the trial and on wedding day she took her time, but still kept within my timeline/time constraints. Ana was on time for wedding day, and kept us right on our timeline. During the wedding planning, Ana was very responsive and flexible with my requests. Everything I wanted was accomodated and addressed very quickly. Ana was wonderful to work with. She is such a nice person and makes you feel very comfortable. Her make-up trials are inexpensive and she even did my mothers for free and gave us both the fake lashes included in the trial! The make up was better then I even hoped for and looked great in the pictures. I was concerned about my face looking oily because it was a hot day and we were outside for the ceremony but she made sure that did not happen. She is affordable, easy to reach and was early the day of the wedding. Also, I did not book her for my bridesmaids but they liked the fake eyelashes and she was kind enough to stay around extra to add on lashes for the girls. Ana is just great and I highly recommend her.

Ana did an amazing job on the makeup for my wedding party. She was easily able to accomodate myself plus 7 other women. She brought along an assistant to make sure that everything moved along efficiently and she was able to come to the hotel that I was at, and do everyone's makeup there, for no additional cost. My mom and I both had trials with Ana and loved them. All the girls in my wedding party loved their makeup. Ana suggested that we try false eyelashes. None of us had ever worn them before, but I am so glad that they did. Ana used eyelashes that looked natural and each girl and the pictures came out amazing! Ana was also able to do makeup for my 88 year old grandmother that looked amazing. It meant so much to see my grandmother look so beautiful again. It was very hot and humid waiting in the church and my makeup stayed perfect all night! I am so pleased with the job that Ana did and I would definitely recommend her!

Ana was great! After the trial, I went home and decided that I wanted her to make some changes to my look for the wedding day. I e-mailed her and she was happy to make the changes I wanted. On my wedding day, my make-up was absolutely perfect! Just what I wanted. She was on time and finished on time as well. Just a wonderful person to work with and so cheerful. For anything that I wasn't sure about during my makeup trial, I just let her know on the wedding day and she fixed it. She and her assistant came extremely prepared to my hotel room where I was getting ready and set everything up and went to work. They were very professional and kept my mind at ease. I picked a winner! Ana is a fantastic makeup artist. She doesn't just provide excellent service for my makeup on my wedding date, she is extremely easy to work with. She did an amazing job my eyes! I never know my eyes can be this pretty!!! Thanks to Ana! She is very responsive and punctual. She even came twice for my makeup since my tea ceremony was in the early morning and church ceremony was in the afternoon. Yes, she takes pride in her work! I was so nervous that morning, that I did not realize that I had failed to list my mom as getting her makeup done the day of the wedding and she was so extremely considerate. I didn't even find out until AFTER the wedding! I can't thank you enough Ana for being so considerate and kind. I will never forget that. And, even though my MOH lost the bag of makeup you gave me for touch-ups I did not have to retouch the makeup as I thought I would. Ana made us all look SO beautiful and the lashes were PERFECT! Ana is great!! She responds quickly to emails and phone calls and is very friendly. During the trial, she really spent time learning about me and my make up preferences. I generally do not wear much make up on a daily basis, and wasn't initially sure what I wanted for the wedding. She was VERY patient and went over options. When she put on the various stages of make up she explained everything she was doing and what sort of effect if would have. She was very accommodating when I asked her to change the blush and eye shadow. We didn't finish the trial until I was completely satisfied. Ana recorded everything about how she did my make up during the trial and was prepared when she came the day of the wedding. The day of, Ana was wonderful...she was so friendly and really helped me stay calm. Ana also did my Woman of Honor's make up, and even though she did not have a trial run, it looked wonderful. She also gave me a nice bag with extra make up, applicators, gloss, mascara, and other things to take with me to the wedding and reception. Ana was punctual and professional...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I highly recommend Ana Merces. I think I was a bit of an anxious bride when it came to my makeup. I dont usually wear a lot of makeup, so I wasnt very knowledgeable about what I wanted. Ana was so helpful in both showing me different looks and in explaining how she created those looks. She was very responsive and helpful by email, always taking time to answer my questions. She is very professionalalways timely and prepared. She even created a little makeup bag for me in case I needed touchups during the day. But I didnt have much to touch up, other than reapplying some lipstick, which is amazing considering that my makeup lasted from morning until after midnight. It really stayed in place. I just received some of the pics from the wedding, and I love the look she created for meit complemented my face so well. It photographs beautifullyesp those great corner lashes! Thanks Ana!
