The absolute best!
I promise that you will not regret hiring Regina and her team! I just got back from my honeymoon and the entire time when we were reminiscing we couldn't get over how much the Amelia Cole team helped us to truly enjoy our day. They also were so helpful leading up. Right off the bat, I wanted a black and white dance floor Regina helped me find a vendor that worked easiest with my wedding venue and I was able to get the floor for a fraction of the price I was being quoted from other vendors. Then as the wedding got closer and I started to get nervous I started receiving instructions from the Amelia Cole team on what I should be doing and it was truly so easy and stress free, but I didn't even know what I didn't know! And finally on wedding day, any time someone had a question or concern, it was handled before I even knew about it. Regina was personally cleaning a drink a spilled on myself off of my wedding dress before I even realized that I had spilled the drink! Cannot recommend enough! -

My fiancé and I are so grateful to have hired Regina for our wedding last month. She provided us with needed structure, helped coordinate a number of vendors, and was a sounding board for me throughout the time we worked together. She was very responsive and flexible when it came to collaborating with a number of people, especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She's also a pro when it comes to recommending linens and bustling dresses! Our wedding was our favorite day ever and we so appreciate her help making it come to life! -

Hiring Regina and the ACE team was the best decision we could have made in our planning process! Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and we can confidently say it would not have gone nearly as smoothly if it weren't for Regina and her team. She is organized, an amazing listener, and will treat your wedding as if it's the most important day of her life because she knows it's the most important day of your life.
During our planning process, Regina was incredibly helpful in bringing potential vendors to us that both fit our wedding vibe and were within our budget. What really set her apart, though, was that she never tried to push any vendors or opinions on us - she would provide objective opinions and share experiences, but she always let us make the final decision. It was very comforting to know she wasn't pushing us in any specific direction, but was just providing her perspective based on her years of experience.
Where Regina was truly remarkable was with her style guide and helping with the wedding design. I had an idea of what I wanted for our wedding aesthetic, but couldn't picture it or figure out how to put all of the pieces together. Regina and I spent time chatting through my ideas, and she put together an entire style guide for us that turned into the wedding of our dreams. She brought my vision to life in a way I couldn't even imagine, and I can't thank her enough.
On the day of the wedding, she handled everything from the big to small details, making sure we never had to sweat anything. Anything either of us needed, she was there to take care of. We got to enjoy the best day with our people because she had everything under control. Not having to worry about any of the details was the best feeling in the world, and that was all thanks to Regina.

Out of all the vendors you could choose for your wedding day, selecting Regina and her team should be an easy decision. When it comes to wedding planning, there’s so much to keep track of but Regina ensures every detail is covered, thanks to her years of expertise. While I doubt you'll find a more organized, proactive, personable, and efficient planner than Regina and Amelia Cole Events, what stands out most is how she makes the entire process enjoyable.
Your planner is a huge part of your wedding day. Like your photographer, your planner is with you for a significant amount of time during the day. Regina somehow manages to feel like one of your most fun, supportive, and encouraging friends, all while maintaining the utmost professionalism. It’s exactly who you want around you on your wedding day. And to think this review only covers what we know! I can only imagine everything Regina and Amy were handling behind the scenes to make our wedding day feel as seamless as it did. Once we got engaged, I realized pretty quickly that we were going to need a planner. We knew this was the right decision because (1) my fiancé and I both had full time jobs, (2) we were both the first of our siblings to get married so no one knew how to plan a wedding, and (3) we were really just focused on getting engaged and never really thought about the wedding… whoops!
I first started researching the top rated planners in Chicago. I then scheduled calls with about 10 of them, asking about their process, vision, service options, and pricing. These calls were REALLY informative. Once you start doing them, you realize who’s a good fit and who’s not.
For me, my call with Regina (Owner and Lead Planner of Amelia Cole Events) really stood out. We clicked right away. I admired her transparency and really connected with her story. She’s been in this business a LONG time and wasn’t shy about disclosing what she loved and hated about the industry. Again, the honesty was really refreshing. I knew I had to work with her, so we did!
She set up a Google Drive for us that had folders and spreadsheets on everything that SHE kept updated. That’s right, we barely had to lift a finger when it came to researching vendors, tracking payments, collecting proposals… you name it, she took care of it. She was organized, efficient, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, very easy to get in touch with. Whenever I had questions/ideas (and I had A LOT) she almost always answered within 24hrs and responded with thoughtful answers. It was never, “Yes, we can do that.” It was always, “Yes, that’s a great idea because… and will look great with… and is better than…” I never once felt like she wasn’t focused on our wedding. Not once.
Before I go on, I should probably disclose one thing: I’m a VERY organized, detail oriented, and hands-on person. When we first started working with Regina, I was worried we might clash over decisions but that couldn’t have been further from our dynamic. Regina realized quickly that I was comfortable doing a lot on my own and she respected that FULLY. I never felt like I was pushed to pick a vendor I didn’t like. I never felt like she was judging me. I never felt like I couldn’t ask her something. All she cared about was making me and my fiancé happy. Period.
Once the wedding day came around, it rained all morning and had to execute a Plan C, so essentially every bride’s nightmare. While the weather was unfortunate, Regina was able to make everything work and LITERALLY saved the day. The ceremony wasn’t the vision we hoped for but it was just as perfect and beautiful. I really don’t know what would have happened if she wasn’t there… but luckily, she was.
For all future newlyweds, my biggest advice is to find a planner you click with and someone who is honest about what they can offer you. If you disclose your budget to a prospective planner and they say they want to work with you but then reveal their price is 30% of your budget… RUN. No planner—no matter how many connections they have or promises they make—is worth breaking the bank over. Believe me. You’ll be breaking the bank on literally everything else, so starting with a big hole in your wallet isn’t in your best interest.
Amelia Cole Events had fair pricing and accounted for about 6% of our all-in budget, which was 100% worth it. Miles will vary on how involved you want your planner to be and what services you book, but I really believe that if it’s in your budget, going the full package route will offer you the most benefits. The planning process is truly just as important as the big day because the former determines the latter. You’ll have your planner with you every step of the way—through every vendor meeting, contract signing, site visit, design review—and you’ll build a relationship that will make your wedding all the more special.
If you decide to work with Regina, you’ll feel like a guest at your own wedding… which is the GREATEST gift! She’ll make the planning process fun and relieve the stress that comes with making those big decisions and sticking with them. Her experience will ensure you put together the strongest vendor team imaginable, reflecting your vision and honoring your budget. I really can’t recommend Amelia Cole Events enough. -

I cannot recommend Regina and Amelia Cole team enough. I hired them for a day of coordinator (which was more like a 2.5-3 month coordinator). Regina, Amy and Quinn all went above and beyond to make our wedding special. When people ask me - what went wrong? I have no response because the day was perfect and effortless. If something did go wrong I really didn’t notice! Regina was able to command the room and wrangle all my guests and bridal party so that things could run smoothly. Best decision ever!! -

My husband and I had the best experience with Amelia Cole Events for helping plan our wedding. We worked with Regina and she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day! Some things that stood out to us were the VIP timeline that was created for our wedding party and family members and her team being able to take all our stuff at the end of the night to our hotel room! Regina is very detail orientated and very responsive. She was willing to setup multiple calls to answer all the questions we had. The Definition of Dream Team!!
My husband and I got married in April 2023 and it was without a doubt, the greatest day of our lives! That is with a large thank you to the Amelia Cole team!! We had the pleasure of working with Lindsay, Jess, and owner, Regina and let me just say, we were BLOWN away for so many reasons!! The way they work seamlessly together, the attention to detail, execution of plans, and so much more truly allowed us to relax and enjoy our wedding day! There is absolutely no task they wouldn’t help with - veils, bustles, wrangling groomsmen, giving family direction, and even helping vendors move items around for quick room transitions, I really cannot say enough about these women. These girls were not only beyond professionally helpful, but like our own hype team too! They really helped us feel the love and at ease on our day. My husband and I could not be more grateful for the support they provided us that day (and through the planning process!!!) My husband and I can not say enough great things about Regina and Lindsay of Amelia Cole Weddings + Events! Like many couples, we cast a wide search when looking for a wedding coordinator and from the first conversation we had with Regina, we knew she was the right choice. We had immediate great vibes from Regina, could instantly tell she had a wealth of knowledge and experience, and knew that she’d be in our corner every step of the way for our wedding day. Regina is so friendly and so professional, and we knew we were in great hands with her from the get go. After our call with Regina a couple months out from our wedding and after our final walkthrough, we were so at ease! Those final two weeks before a wedding can be stressful and Regina was always so willing to answer any questions we had—she was always so responsive. I could not recommend Amelia Cole and Regina enough! I am from California and my Husband is from the Chicago suburbs. I knew with my parents not being in the same state to help me, that I was going to need a wedding planner. Regina went above and beyond for our wedding! I could not recommend Amelia Cole Events and Regina enough! I, like many brides, was in a state of panic about 4 months out from my wedding. I knew I could handle the big stuff (hiring the photographer, florist, picking the venue and DJ) but when it came time to start thinking about the logistics and the little things that I needed to have done it seemed like an insurmountable task. When I finally started looking for a "day of" planner (even though they end up being involved a few months prior to the day which is incredible) and I had my first call with Regina I immediately felt understood - it was so refreshing to have someone say this is a tough process but it doesn't have to be let us take care of you and we can make your day seamless. I am not lying when I say Amelia Cole is like a cheat code for your wedding day or like your older sister who saved all their notes from a hard class for you - they have so many tools that can make everything easier from the seating chart (harder then it sounds) to legal items like how to get your marriage certificate even to actually scheduling walkthroughs with your vendors. Not to mention all that they do the day of to make sure you don't have to do a thing and you move through the day with ease and are your biggest cheerleader the day of. I could not recommend them enough and I promise you, you will thank your lucky stars when you start to work with them! -

Sarah and her team are the best!
Ok I’m not kidding when I say I couldn’t have done this without Sarah, Nicole and Amelia Cole Events!! If I could hire Sarah to just plan my entire life I would! That’s how easy she made wedding planning. The timeline she created for the day was a life saver and not having to communicate every detail to vendors myself was incredible. From making sure the decor and flow was how I imagined, to cleaning and packing up so I could enjoy the experience, everything Sarah did was so helpful. Nicole and Regina helped my wedding go as smoothly as possible. Even when dates for summer 2022 were filling up, Regina was extremely accommodating and made sure I had a planner for my wedding. I was thrilled to be paired with Nicole - she was a calming presence in times of stress and made sure every to-do item was tended to. I don't know what I would have done without the timeline Nicole made for me - I loved that the format was in a Google Doc so I could add comments and make changes as needed. Nicole coordinated with all my vendors leading up to the wedding, and I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. She even spritzed me with my perfume throughout the day (something I didn't realize I needed, but a detail I greatly appreciated). I have been recommending Amelia Cole to all of my engaged friends. You won't regret it! -

Amelia Cole truly made our day what it was. We had the essential planning package and it was exactly what I needed to help pull all the final coordination of vendors together and make the day run smoothly. Regina and her team were so supportive and knowledgeable on the day of (and leading up to the day) and helped with anything we needed. From bustling my dress, managing the guys, helping our families with last minute tasks, and any other small detail that I never would have even thought of, they did it all. On top of that, it was like having a cool best friend there with us for the entire day! We hired Amelia Cole Events to help with coordination for the month of the wedding, and we're so glad we did! Regina and her team literally handled EVERYTHING with ease on the day of the wedding, we honestly didn't have to worry or stress about anything. On top of that, when my husband and I returned to our wedding suite at the end of our wedding night, everything that we brought in for the wedding was already perfectly packed up by Regina’s team which made the next day so much easier.
Leading up to the wedding, Regina was so helpful with the wedding resources that she provided to keep us on track with the planning, and she was extremely attentive and communicative throughout the entire process.
The team at Amelia Cole Events truly goes above and beyond for all of their clients - The ladies that worked our wedding were an absolute dream team and were so much fun to work with. 10/10 would recommend using Amelia Cole Events for your wedding!

Best Weekend of Our Lives!
Amelia Cole was one of the first vendors that we booked because the minute that we talked to them, we knew they shared our wedding vision and had their hearts set in planning our big day just as much as we did. I was so grateful that from the start, we were paired with the incomparable planner, Regina! Coming from a healthcare worker with a job that requires me to be Type-A, let me tell you with complete confidence that the planners at Amelia Cole will take the stress off of you and not only bring your wedding dreams to life, but will make your wedding day the happiest, most beautiful, and most fun day of your lives! On our wedding day, we were lucky enough to not only have Regina there right by our sides but also AC lead planner Lindsay and assistant Jessica. Each one of these ladies had the best personalities, were so fun and enthusiastic, and helped keep our big day on schedule. Regina went out of her way to make sure that every moment I wanted to happen did happen and went according to plan (including a champagne pop photo op in front of our vintage getaway car! Though there are many planners in Chicago who can wonderfully plan and organize your big day, the ladies at Amelia Cole will take your dreams and make them come true, all while having the best personalities to ensure that you and your loved ones have so much fun! Throughout the planning process, Sarah, Regina, and Kate helped me with the many questions I had and were so much help when we had to ultimately postpone our wedding due to Covid. We first were introduced to Amelia Cole by our venue, Rivers Restaurant, who highly recommended the planning company. From our first meeting, all the way through our wedding day, Amelia Cole has been a life-saver. Our wedding was post-poned due to COVID and our planners were there for us every step of the way - including through hearing all the difficult emotions that went into the process. Regina was super supportive through our crazy COVID wedding that had to be rescheduled, resized, and even in a different venue. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered and that we were comfortable throughout the process as we were making tough decisions.
Regina and her team worked so well with all of our other vendors and made sure all the details were all set. This gave us so much reassurance on our wedding day and we could just enjoy it while everything else was taken care of. Regina is diligent, responsive, and detail-oriented. After navigating multiple reschedules this year due to the pandemic, my husband and I were extremely thankful we had picked to work with Amelia Cole for our wedding. With so many ups and downs, Regina and her team not only helped us navigate which was a very stressful time, but also helped us stay calm during the process as well. This team is HIGHLY organized and efficient— and this is coming from someone who is Type A! We were recommended to Amelia Cole by a friend and they did NOT disappoint! From creating a schedule and answering my Covid questions, to keeping in contact with all my vendors, Regina, Nicole and Sarah were phenomenal!!! My wedding was very on time, actually a head of schedule and my bridal party and the venue were very impressed. We did incorporate a lot of Eastern European traditions and the team was nothing but respectful. Nicole maybe even learned some new dance moves! Nicole and Sarah also handled making sure every item we gave them for the venue was placed exactly where and how we discussed. They also cleaned everything up and loaded it up at the end of the evening. I was very confident with this team by my side and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend their services if you are looking for a planner/day of coordinator!

I hired Amelia Cole for day of planning but they went above and beyond and helped me every step of the way! Taylor and Regina made wedding planning absolutely seamless. They were incredibly responsive (seriously, I would receive responses to emails within minutes) and they provided detailed to-do lists so every month I could make sure I was on track. They helped me communicate with vendors, look over contracts, and even helped ease my anxiety when I had a crisis with my wedding invitations.
The day of our wedding I was able to relax and enjoy the day completely knowing Regina was there to help keep us on track with our timeline and handle all the vendors who were delivering and setting up.
Thanks to Regina and Taylor I was fully able to enjoy my wedding day and didn't have to worry about a thing! They did everything from giving my dad a glass of champagne during his speech to setting out our wedding favors. Thanks to them our day went off with out a hitch. I cannot recommend Amelia Cole enough!! Thank you for making our day perfect!! -

Great Experience
Regina and Taylor helped organize our wedding, which was wonderful in every way. It was a beautiful, and very happy, evening.
The venue was phenomenal. The dinner was fabulous. The flowers, the lighting, the photographer. Each of the different service providers was lovely to deal with yet so professional and the effect that night was simply gorgeous.
Regina did an excellent job of selecting potential vendors and following through. The day-of coordination was phenomenal - everything went perfectly and it exceeded our wildest dreams! -

We hired Taylor for month-of planning, and it was the best decision! Taylor is always SO FAST to respond to any question or request, even before she officially took over planning. About 6 weeks out from the wedding, Taylor took over all communication with vendors, which took a load off my shoulders for sure! I knew that the timeline would be made perfectly and include everything we wanted because she was so detail oriented. On our wedding day, Taylor and Regina kept everything running smoothly! August 2019: I worked with Taylor, Emily, and Sara for month of + day of wedding planning. I do not know how our wedding day could have logistically happened without their help before and during the wedding. If there is one thing I learned while planning it is that month of + day of planners are a MUST. They made sure every detail played out exactly how we envisioned and that every vendor was taken care of - in our case 15 different vendors. I can’t thank Emily enough for managing my to-do list for me so that I did not get (too) overwhelmed in the final days leading up to the wedding. I was able to enjoy our wedding day FULLY without thinking about anything other than celebrating with my groom! My daughter hired Amelia Cole Events to help with her wedding. Our planner, Emily, spent the month before the wedding learning every detail that they envisioned happening. Besides making sure all of the plans were playing out she brought up ideas that we hadn’t thought of, so now the plan was even better. When wedding weekend arrived she took care of everything to the point that all we had to do was show up. I was able to watch my daughter and son-in-law enjoy their wedding without any stress or worries. I don’t know how we would have ever pulled off a wedding like this without the help from Amelia Cole Events. My husband and I hired Amelia Cole to help plan our big day and we can confidently say it was the best decision we made. Taylor was there for us every step of the way. From our initial call, to the in person meetings, to our Vendor walk through and then at our rehearsal and on our wedding day, she was always one step ahead making sure everything was perfect. Taylor was very quick to respond to my emails and (sometimes triple :) ) texts. Having Taylor take over communication with our Vendors one month out and organize the final meetings was priceless. I did not have to follow up with her or ever double check anything. As soon as everything was passed off to her, I knew it was handled. On the day of our wedding, it was such a relief knowing my husband and I and our families did not have to worry about a thing because Taylor and Nikki were so on top of it. I actually woke up the morning of our wedding with a text from my makeup artist cancelling. Taylor saved the day and was able to find a wonderful makeup artist for me and my bridesmaids with an hour notice. My husband especially appreciated when Taylor would let us know what was coming next during our East Coast style reception. For example, Taylor told us when we had 10 minutes until our cake cutting and speech so we knew we could go talk to another table of guests. Words can't describe how magical it was to work with Taylor! At the beginning of the wedding planning process, I thought I didn't need the help of wedding planner. Boy, was I wrong. From the first time I talked to Taylor I knew she would be able to make my vision come to life. It was great to have her not only on the day of, but the whole month before our wedding to discuss ideas and last minute final touches. I remember leaving our timeline planning meeting and realizing how much I hadn't thought of, and being so grateful that I was able to work with a true professional. When I was deep in the throes of the final month of wedding planning, I obsessed over details that Taylor helped me realize really didn't matter. Taylor is always one step ahead of the game, and provided the best insight about how to execute our wedding with refined elegance.
Our wedding day went off without a hitch, and that was in large part due to Taylor's expertise in planning, her calm demeanor, and excellent execution. Things will go wrong on your wedding day, and it's such a relief to have someone as the point person to deal with crises. We had an issue with guest transportation (broken bus), and Taylor completely handled it without me even knowing! Thanks to Taylor, I truly felt like a guest at my own wedding and it was the best day of my life. So many of our guests were blown away by the execution of our wedding, and commented on how spectacular our reception timeline was. If you are on the fence about hiring Amelia Cole and Taylor's team, or on the fence about whether you need a wedding planner -- think of all the work you did leading up to and during the last get-together or dinner party you hosted. Now imagine having someone scour Pinterest for the best dinner party recipes and cocktails, do the grocery shopping, clean your house, chop the vegetables, pre-heat the oven, cook the food, set the table, and do all the dishes when it's over. We worked with Taylor and her team for our March wedding in Chicago - and gosh, where do we even begin. Taylor is the most responsive, patient, dedicated and hardworking professional. She truly puts her heart and soul into every detail. The best part about Taylor and her team were that they were there to make our wedding truly OURS. During planning, she thoroughly listened to our desires, priorities, vision, and taste. Throughout the process, we had many changes to our big day, including venue changes, accommodation updates, attire changes, and many more; Taylor handled each and every one with grace and a positive attitude. In the few months leading up to the wedding, we were able to fully relax knowing that Taylor was completely on top of everything and provided recommendations along the way. She is beyond organized, well connected and savvy. On the day of the wedding, we worked with Taylor, Sarah and Regina. They were so incredibly fun to be around and made the day run so smoothly. They were able to ensure everything ran according to schedule - directly to the minute (& sometimes even early!!!!). Throughout the day, they went above and beyond; running last-minute errands, gracefully handling guests that were having "too much" fun, providing beauty advice, ensuring payments & tips were all complete, and so much more. The Amelia Cole team expertly ran the show. By the end of the night, we considered them true friends. Taylor also took over communication with our vendors about two weeks prior to our wedding - coordinating schedules and working out any final details, which helped keep our stress levels low leading up to the wedding. She is hardworking, organized and extremely detail-oriented. She will likely remember details from your wedding meetings better than you do. She will also help find ways to keep you on track with your budget. Taylor and her team are a true joy to have around on one of the biggest days of your life. They will make your wedding and planning as stress-free as can be, and you can trust them completely to make your dream day perfect! This review is coming from a very particular, detail-oriented, likes-to-be-in-control personality. Amelia Cole’s services were worth every dollar we spent and then some. I’m indian and my husband is Chinese. We were planning an Indian/Chinese fusion wedding and were looking for a planner to handle a 2 day multi-cultural wedding! Since it was a fusion wedding, a lot of the events we had were not very typical as seen in normal Indian weddings. I was looking for someone who would help us bring these unique events to life. I spoke to a few planners before meeting Taylor and was disappointed by the lack of personalization and attention to detail they gave us. Just by a few phone calls with Taylor, I really felt like Taylor actually cared about making our day perfect and I could tell how much thought and attention she put into us while we were finalizing the contract. Taylor and her team is very responsive and will make you feel at ease immediately. Our lead planner was Regina, and her level of detail & overall calm attitude made the planning process and the actual wedding day such a breeze. I had a moment of panic a week before the wedding on the timing of our events as every event was back to back, but Regina made me feel so comfortable as she had every detail covered. On the actual wedding day, every single event went on time and my guests/ along with my husband and I were so shocked at how smoothly and perfectly every thing went!! We were toying with getting a day of coordinator and after the first meeting with Taylor, I knew that we had to have her there for our big day. She is so professional and responsive, and really knows the business well. During our walk through she knew all of the right questions to ask, and ensured that our big day went off without a hitch. We had a few last minute changes during the ceremony, and Taylor worked her magic so that nobody except us would ever know of the changes. If you're debating on hiring a day of coordinator or planner, DO IT. You can not go wrong with Taylor and her team! :)

Amanda Sent on 10/19/2017We hired Taylor / Amelia Cole as our "month of" planner and everyone was absolutely fantastic. We were engaged for over 18 months and hired Taylor early on in the process. She answered questions promptly and provided vendor recommendations throughout the entire planning process which was very helpful for me. It's hard to know which vendors are high quality and familiar with your venue by just doing google searches and Taylor provided all of her knowledge and insight into the wedding industry. Taylor also did our flowers, which turned out amazing. The big name florists in Chicago can be very expensive (most have minimum $5,000 requirements), but Taylor was able to work with our budget and provided amazing bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony florals to perfectly complement our venue. Overall, I would say that Taylor was absolutely the best money we spent on our wedding. Her day of assistant was amazing as well. She was very professional, energetic and organized. I am a pretty controlling, intense person who likes to make sure every detail is coordinated and managed and I was calm and cool on our wedding day because Taylor had everything handled. I also loved the timeline she put together. We sent it out to our families and wedding party about a week before and it was perfect to keep everyone in the loop regarding where they needed to be and when.
