My wife and I had the absolute privilege of celebrating our wedding at The Amber Room Colonnade this past summer, and I can honestly say it was the best decision we could have made. From the very first day we booked—almost two years before our wedding date—right through the wedding day itself (and even afterward), the Amber Room team was there for us every single step of the way.

The communication and professionalism from Melissa, Ashley, Doug, and the entire staff were nothing short of exceptional. Every question we had was answered promptly, every concern was handled with care, and their guidance gave us the confidence to truly enjoy our engagement and wedding planning process. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but with the Amber Room behind us, it never felt that way.

What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared about us as a couple. They worked with us tirelessly to make sure everything was taken care of, down to the smallest details, so that on the day of the wedding we could simply be present and enjoy ourselves. And we truly did — everything flowed seamlessly, the service was impeccable, and we felt completely taken care of from start to finish.

Me and my husband had our wedding at The Amber Room on June 20, 2025, and it was truly everything we hoped for and more! When we first visit there, I knew automatically this is where we wanted to get married! From the moment we began planning, the entire team made the process seamless, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable.
A very special thank you to Katie, our incredible catering sales director! Her organization, communication, and attention to detail were unmatched. She made us feel absolutely amazing through every step. Gina, the banquet manager, ensured that our reception ran smoothly and effortlessly, and Patty, our bridal attendant, was an absolute angel on the big day. Her calm presence and attentiveness made all the difference.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained grounds, elegant interiors, and a layout that flowed perfectly for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our guests are still raving about the fantastic food and outstanding bar service, which truly exceeded expectations.
We wholeheartedly recommend The Amber Room to any couple looking for a venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and genuine care. It was the perfect place to begin out forever!!! :)

Fabulous venue for a bat mitzvah or anything. The Amber room staff were fantastic. Very accommodating to our request of being able to have our daughter do whatever she really wanted for her bar mitzvah. It was a delight to turn the venue into a sporty chic room. The food was delicious and ever flowing highly recommend for anything. The amber room was fantastic.

The part about the Amber Room that made our wedding so successful was the flexibility.

When we asked if we could run our rehearsal a week early on a weekend instead of the standard day or two before in order to not have to take extra time off of work, they were able to work with us on that. The week leading up to our event, the weather was looking against us and after walking us through the different scenarios and set ups for weather, they gave us until 3 days before to finalize our plans for the ceremony and cocktail hour after giving the weather prediction a chance to be more accurate.

Melissa was always very responsive and communicated well both over the phone and email leading up to our event. For the day of, Gina was very on top of the timeline for everything that was to take place. But she was also flexible about the start time for our ceremony when 2/3rds of the guests showed up late.

Patty was the sweetest and most down to earth bridal attendant I could ask for. I would not have survived the transition from the chaotically late ceremony to the reception without her support during cocktail hour in the bridal suite. She was also very on top of making sure we had what we needed as we got ready to wrap up the night.

A lot of guests came up to express how beautiful the venue was and that they thought the food was amazing. We are so glad we picked the Amber Room for hosting our big day.

I cannot say enough about the Amber Room! All of the staff are incredibly professional and welcoming. Katie helped us plan out our day and made sure we had everything we wanted and more. Katie made the planning process stress free and for that, we cannot thank her enough! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and that would not have been possible without all of the amazing staff, especially Ashley, our banquet manager. The food was amazing, the drinks were great and all of our guests had an amazing time. The grounds of the Amber Room were also absolutely perfect for our late October Wedding and made for gorgeous pictures. I highly recommend the Amber Room Colonnade if you are looking for a wonderful venue where the staff make you feel like family!

The Amber Room was without a doubt the best and only place I could've imagined to host my wedding. As a highly anxious bride; Doug, Katie, Melissa, Ashley and Gina each did their part in making sure every last detail was taken care of for the entire planning process up until my husband and I said "I DO". After that Patty, Missy, Joanie and the entire staff handled the rest. I felt so at ease and was truly able to enjoy the wedding of my dreams with my husband. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was remarkable. We still have guests commenting on the abundance and quality of food throughout the entire event from cocktail hour, to dinner, ending with our ice-cream bar and French fry station and so much more in-between. Even our vendors were impressed. We hope to grow our family and continue our relationship with The Amber Room for more events in the future. We cant thank everyone there enough for making our wedding day everything and more!

Ourselves and our guests were in awe with the Amber Room Colonnade the day of the wedding!
Cocktail hour was in the West Court and was filled with an abundance of buffet style food and beautifully decorated as our hired live band filled the air with its musical ambiance. As you entered into the hallway connecting to the Bridal Suite and Ballroom. The staff beautifully set up our Welcome/Seating sign along with our LED Marquee Letters and Guest Book. Entering the West Ballroom, for Sandy & I it was truly what we envisioned and more. The table & lighting arrangements, their collaboration with our florist and DJ was a beautiful and magical sight, that filled Sandy's and my heart with joy. Our guests, after the reception ended, happily shared with us their wonderful experience from the visuals, to how DELICIOUS the food was (Salmon & Steak Entrees) and Carrot Cake, including the drinks! Sandy (Pastry Chef) & I our both foodies and let me tell you they exceeded our expectations! The Amber Room also gave our guests take-away containers for those that got full and couldn't finish their entrees! awesome little detail! Again Thank you EVERYONE !! :)

While venue scouting, the Amber Room, I told my then fiance as we walked to our car after our meeting "Baby I feel this is it." She replied "Me too."
Doug P. (GM) warm heartedly greeted us. He was genuine, very open and clear of the financials + planning process. He showed us the grounds, the ballroom layout, the cocktail space, the bridal suite. There was this unexplainable magical feeling and we just knew the Amber Room was our place to celebrate our wedding.
Doug helped us pick a package and was flexible in customizing it. He was caring and attentive to answer any questions and concerns that we had from start to finish. We felt so very welcomed at the Amber Room and as our interactions continued the times when we would meet with Doug we gave each other good bye hugs. Thank You Doug for making our wedding planning seamless and our Wedding Night Magical as well for being present the day of !

We met with Gina (Banquet Manager) a little over a week before our wedding with Doug and he caught her up to speed with our all details, as she was our assigned coordinator. Gina was Super attentive to the details and decor, aswell very efficient with our Timeline of the Day. Gina ensured our night was going smoothly and checked in with us routinely through out the night if we needed anything. Thank you Gina for help on our Wedding night.

Thank you Patty for being our assigned server and your help throughout the night. Sandy was very grateful in your help in assisting in fixing the buttons on her dress and your attentiveness throughout the night including notifying Doug & Gina if we could print a speech, as the MOH forgot to print her speech and the team was able to get it printed for us.

The Amber Room Colonnade is the Best Kept Secret in Fairfield County just 7 miles from Westchester County. With a Grand Banquet Hall that accommodates 250 Guests Total. But can also be divided for 150 Guests on one side and 100 Guests on the other side. We just had our Ceremony and Reception there with 100 Guests two weeks ago! Our Marriage was performed at one of their two outdoor Gazebo’s. We had several hundred pictures taken on their gorgeous grounds. During our reception the food and service by the staff was highly praised by our guests; along with the Dessert Table and Espresso/Cappuccino Cart. We Highly recommend this Banquet Hall for anyone in CT and NY. Just reach out to Katie the Catering Sales Manager who will make your Wedding Day Unforgettable; Just like Ours! We could not have imagined a better wedding ceremony, reception and venue, it all was perfection! From the food and drinks, to the space and views, to the management and staff, all was amazing. Just wanted to give a few special shout outs... Doug the owner was super nice and welcoming from the day that we met. Katie our manager who worked with us from day one that was unbelievably helpful with each and every step, leading us to the correct decisions and guiding us to an unforgettable day. Gina, Patty and their team who coordinated our wedding the day of were so sweet and willing to help take care of anything and everything, making our special day so easy to enjoy. The chef, baker and bartenders who created our cocktail hour food and drink as well as our entrees and wedding cake, they all were spectacular. Words can't express how much we love the entire Amber Room staff. The venue is gorgeous inside and out so you will get wonderful photos/videos to capture every awesome moment so that you can savor your memories. In love with this place and highly recommend so book for yourselves now!

We sure do!!! A huge shout out to the greatest team at The Amber Room Colonnade. My husband and I had a night to remember and we owe a huge part of it to our friends at The Amber Room. Katie in particular is just an all around MVP. Wedding planning is never stress free but Katie was kind, communicative and resourceful. We were able to get guidance from her regarding things like transportation, hotel blocks, signature drinks, cake and room decor. She and her team helped our vision come to life with a beautiful fall themed wedding that captured both of our cultures and the love we share. Both of our families had a blast and a few of our friends brought home their entrees just to savor the deliciousness one more time!! A huge shout out to the Chef. Cocktail hour and dinner was incredible and tasty. We haven't had a steak that good in years!

The Amber Room was the most perfect place for our wedding! From beginning to end, the whole experience was beyond what we expected and I’m so glad we chose them for our special day! Everything was amazing, from the food to the staff, I couldn’t recommend them enough! Ask for Katie and Ashley and they will make all your dreams come true!

The Amber Room is the best venue in the Eastern NY / Western CT. There is just so much to say! Their location was very convenient for our local guests in the Tri-state area. We also had many guests traveling by plane and this location was very convenient for arrivals in NYC, travel by train with many hotels near by. Quality and value were not matched by the other venues we toured for my son’s wedding. Pricing was fair, there were 3 package choices to choose from but there was plenty of flexibility for my son and daughter in law to customize their special day. The food was fantastic! We did a buffet which the staff handled beautifully. It moved fast and efficiently. Everyone raved about the mashed potatoes! Meat was cooked perfectly. I cannot thank the entire staff enough. They were always there to help during the entire planning, the days before, with the event’s set up and during and after the event. The staff was most gracious, in taking care of the needs of my elderly mother and my 1 year old grandson … as well as everyone else. Everyone we worked with was professional and friendly. Made you feel you didn’t have to worry or stress out. And the venue is beautiful. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. The only thing I am sorry about is that the event is over, I wish we could replay and repeat! All in all a perfect day and evening, and I truly mean that. Our guests had only compliments for the Amber Room.

I cannot recommend The Amber Room Colonnade enough! The staff is so helpful and sweet. The food and service was absolutely unreal. Katie and Ashley were on top of it and helpful with everything. I just cannot get over how perfect my wedding was.

We booked the Amber Room in December 2022 and were married there on 10.13.23 and it was a literal a dream come true.

Doug (the GM) and Gina (our Banquet Manager) were tremendously professional, accommodating, thoughtful, responsive, and understanding throughout the whole planning process. They gave us their suggestions and experiences to draw from while planning and just about everything day-of was on time and went off without a hitch.

They had just finished redoing the ceremony site and it was absolutely gorgeous for our outdoor ceremony. The property lended itself beautifully for our first-look and bridal party photos.

Many guests raved about the delicious food, especially the butternut squash and the mini risotto balls.

My husband and I had a designated staff member bringing us anything we needed, and she even assisted with bustling my skirt.

The cell phone service is terrible, but they do have WiFi and that was a complete non -issue for us since it meant no one's phones went off during the ceremony.

Between the care, attention, and quality of service we received, we definitely got more than our money's worth and we are so glad we went with them for our big day.

My husband and I cannot thank everyone enough for making our dream wedding come true on 10/7/2023! If there's one decision you have to make for your wedding to be perfect then choosing Amber Room Colonnade is the decision you need to make. Katie was amazing helping us plan every step of the way and made sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. From her fast response to emails, all-encompassing checklist of choices and true dedication to her work I knew right away we were in good hands! Gina was our day of coordinator and she went above and beyond through every process including meeting with us multiple times prior to our big day to make sure our wedding was exactly how we envisioned. The day of was so busy and Gina set up our ceremony area, entry way and reception room perfectly and exactly as I hoped. I had many personalized items and Gina made sure they were all placed perfectly, and everything looked beautiful. Due to rain, our original plans had to be changed, but everyone was so prepared that everything went as smoothly as if nothing had ever changed. Patty was great assisting my husband and I all night with anything we may have needed to make sure we were happy. Choosing The Amber Room Colonnade was the best vendor decision we made for our wedding day! I even saw Gina a couple of weeks later for another event and she was so kind and made my Mom, sister and I truly feel like family. We can never thank everyone enough!

Everything about The Amber Room Colonnade exceeded our expectations. Katie, the Sales Manager, made sure she went over every detail of the wedding planning process and made sure all our questions were answered. Their brochure helped us stay on top of tasks that needed to be taken care of. The venue is beautiful and makes for fantastic pictures. You also have access to the site ahead of the ceremony time, so you're not having to get most done during cocktail hour, if you choose.

Not being from the area, their list of preferred vendors was also super helpful in planning our wedding. We went with a preferred photographer/videographer company that also offered a package deal with a local DJ. Our pictures and wedding video came out beautifully, and the DJ kept the energy up all night and made sure our preferred type of music and songs were played (I've been to weddings where the DJ has gone rogue with the song list).

They offer different levels of packages and are very flexible and you can mix and max (with associated costs) to really make the food choices your own. Our package came with a pasta bar during cocktail hour, but we swapped that out for a flatbread bar. The add-ons made our reception our own, and the s'mores bar was a big hit! The packages also offer plenty of choices, so there is something that all guests will like/eat. They also take dietary restrictions and food allergies seriously, and there is no cross-contamination, to ensure the safest to guests.

The food is absolutely delicious. We took advantage of having a food tasting and were extremely pleased with how well prepared everything was. Many of our guests complimented us on having a terrific meal. If serving good food to your guests is a top priority like it was for us, The Amber Room Colonnade is definitely the place to book!

We were also extremely impressed with the high quality customer service we experienced from Katie and our day-of coordinator. We were well taken care of, from having a spread for the wedding party to nosh on before the ceremony, to being brought drinks and food.

The Amber Room was also very flexible and accommodating with our wedding party's schedules for choosing a time to do the ceremony rehearsal, which was much appreciated.

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with how our special day went, a lot in part because of The Amber Room Colonnade staff. If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely get married here again!

Held my daughter's sweet 16 at the Amber and it was everything we imagined and more. I was hesitant to visit the Amber Room as I didn't want a typical wedding venue vibe for our daughters sweet 16 and from the moment we met Katie & Doug, they did everything to make her party exactly what she wanted. Katie is amazing and so easy to work with. Her expertise and ability to bring your vision to fruition is one of a kind. Moving on to the actual day of the event and Ashley our banquet manager for the night is AWESOME! Her and her staff did an amazing job keeping the night moving and making sure everything went off without error. I highly recommend the Amber room for your event.

We had our wedding at The Amber Room Colonnade over Labor Day weekend and it truly was a dream come true.

We booked The Amber Room in the Summer of 2021 and from the moment we inquired we had a wonderful experience. We met with Doug P who gave us a tour of the entire facility, discussed all of the different packages. He provided us with a booklet which was super informative and even allowed us to place a soft hold on a date while we finished our venue tours. Doug made the entire process (from initial tour to wedding night) absolutely seamless. His response time is unmatched! Doug allowed us to chose a package while also customizing exactly what we wanted for our wedding night. Anything we asked for he was able to provide. Doug even recommended a cigar rolling company and was willing to make arrangements with that so that we did not have to worry about contact another company. Doug also helped us finalize our timeline for the night and gave us insight that helped us choose what/when to do certain parts of our night.

Fast forward to our wedding which was perfect. The day of we worked with Ashley who was very kind, accommodating and helpful. Any little thing we asked for she was able to make happen. Even made sure I did not spill any cocktail hour food on my wedding dress!! Doug was able to pop in and congratulate us as well! The entire staff from bridal attendant, to wait staff and bartender were all incredible.

Our guests raved about all of the food, from cocktail hour to the late night snacks. ALL of the food was delicious and there was so much of it! We really enjoyed having cocktail hour food in the bridal suite as well so that we could have a few private moments right after the ceremony.

The set up (indoor and outdoor) was wonderful as well, every detail was exactly how we asked. And all of the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The grounds for the ceremony and photos are absolutely beautiful as well. While the venue is located near a main road, you would never know that when you are in the grounds. The Amber Room grounds feel quiet and private which is perfect for a wedding ceremony.

From the moment we came for our initial tour through the wedding night, we were absolutely blown away by how amazing The Amber Room is. We were so happy to make the drive from the Hartford area because of how wonderful this venue is. The Amber Room is the best wedding venue in CT!!

Katie and her team did and amazing job at hosting our wedding! From the very beginning, my husband and I felt as if we were being taken care of like kings and queens. The team was so attentive to us and our guests that I didn't even know when my family messed things up! The food was amazing, the hall was gorgeous, and Ashley and Katie made sure that everything looked exactly how my husband and I wanted it to look! I couldn't have asked for a better team!

OMG! I needed to write this review! From the moment we stepped inside we were welcomed by Doug. I show up to this place with what I thought was going to be an impossible task, but I was mistaken. I was able to work with Doug and his team of very talented and very attentive staff. TWO MONTHS, in two months I was able to have the most beautiful ceremony and celebration. The grounds are clean and beautiful, the staff is kind and so experienced. I mean every time I thought I needed something from a glass of water, to knowing exactly where my shoes were(which btw is not there job) lol the bartender and waiting staff were so patient and kind with my chaotic family and loved ones. Ashley who was my wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing. She was by my side every time I needed her and even when I didn’t know I needed her. Because of her everything went so smoothly. Food was so delicious, my husband loved the sweet chill salmon and I loved the chicken teriyaki. Cocktail hour for my bridal party and parents was extra special. I also thought it was so sweet of them to pack up an extra serving of cocktail shrimp for my mom at the end of the night to take home . Lol she loved it. If I knew having a wedding would have been this easy I would have done it way sooner! Many many thanks for the Amber Room Colonnade Family.

I cannot put into words how much my husband and I enjoyed working with the Amber Room over the past year of wedding planning:
1. Doug, Katie, Gina and team are incredible. Extremely communicative, always answer the phone, happy to help and answer all your questions
2. I didn't have to compromise on anything. I went into my wedding planning process ready to concede on certain things and the Amber Room team was able to make all those things happen (incredible ambiance, amazing food, photobooth, etc.)
3. Amber Room's pricing is extremely competitive and reasonable. I truly felt I was getting an incredible value for how much we paid per guest.
4. The day of team was amazing between the bridal attendant, wait staff, bar tenders it made for such a smooth evening.

There are probably tons of details I am forgetting, but you need to at least visit if you are planning to get married in/around Danbury. Our initial tour was like night and day compared to other venues we visited in the area. You'll be treated like family at the Amber Room.

I celebrated my 70th birthday with a Masquerade Ball at the Amber Room Colonnade. Katie Bishop the Sales Manager immediately saw my vision and worked tirelessly to make it a reality. Ashley, the event coordinator and the rest of the team were exceptional. Everyone paid attention to every detail. The decorations, the ambience, the food the professionalism were second to none. Thank you Amber Room...you made my day fantastic!

Highly recommend the Amber room! Our wedding was perfect! The venue is very clean and the grounds are well maintained for pictures. The food is delicious, our guests were very impressed with their meals. They went above and beyond to offer us meat, vegan, and gluten free options. All the staff is wonderful and friendly but especially Gina, Katie, and Maddie. I could not have asked for a better wedding. It truly made our dreams come true!

The Amber Room Colonnade far exceeded our expectations for our daughter’s wedding! The staff was professional and very attentive the entire evening. Katie our Coordinator was a pleasure to work with and was with us every step of the way. Her attention to detail was amazing. Gina our Event Manager handled everything perfectly and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious. . We couldn’t have asked for a better Venue. If we could given them more than 5 stars we would.

I recently held an 80th birthday party at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury CT and it was everything I had hoped for and more.
Planning was made easy by the Sales Manager Katie Bishop who was always kind, professional, supportive, and flexible. She also had great ideas that added to the success of the party.
The rooms are beautiful, made even more so by lighting and linen selections.
The food from appetizers to dinners to dessert was outstanding. I highly recommend the Swedish meatballs at the appetizer station and my guests raved over the sirloin dinner. My guests could not stop commenting on the quality of all the food. The meals were hot, the servings generous, and I highly recommend the pastry table and ice cream bar which went over very well!
The service was wonderful, in my case led by Ashley. Guests commented on the friendliness and flexibility of all the servers and the bartender.
I needed additional help as I was hospitalized for the week right up to the event and again, Katie provided outstanding last-minute support. The day after the party, my guests were still calling to thank me and say the party was the best that they had ever attended. If you are on the fence, just book it.

After looking at various venues, we quickly knew the Amber Room Colonnade was everything we searched for in the place to celebrate our wedding reception. During our first meeting with Doug (General Manager) and the staff we felt immediately at home—it was clear that they genuinely wanted to make our day special. Before we left the grounds, we had no doubt that this was the perfect venue.

Doug took the time to get to know us and understand what was important to us for our big day. We never felt rushed or pressured. Other venues were strictly business, but at the Amber Room we felt like family.

The team was extremely responsive and quickly made themselves available by phone or in person—whichever worked best for us at the time.

The grounds were consistently meticulously maintained with ample space and various beautiful settings for pictures.

The cocktail hour boasted incredible food, including personalized touches that were meaningful to us and our families. As we took photos, Ray made it a point to bring over food from cocktail hour to us and our bridal party, so that we never missed out. We heard numerous guests remark about the amazing quality and quantity of the food served during the cocktail hour, with many guests saying they were stuffed before dinner even started.

The dinner also surpassed our expectations. By taking the time to get to know us and our families during the planning process, Doug was able to suggest meal options that fit perfectly, and he nailed it! The cake and desserts were also phenomenal, and again incorporated personal touches (such as custard cups that were loved by our Portuguese guests)!

On the day of the wedding, Gina and Ray made sure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we arrived at the venue, Gina took us aside and made sure the venue set-up was exactly how we planned. Throughout the night, she kept our timeline on track—the reception flowed perfectly. Ray was by our side the entire night. He had incredible input for our photos and timeline, and made sure we also had time to enjoy the celebrating/food/guests! He took care of countless things behind the scenes!

The service and kindness we received was unsurpassable. Every staff member we encountered from the initial meeting months before the big day, all the way to the end of the reception, made us feel so special. They were so amenable to accommodate things that we felt were important. Even our vendors commented on how well they were treated by the staff.

Our wedding day was beyond what we dreamed and prayed for, and we are incredibly grateful for Doug, Ray, Gina, and our Amber Room Colonnade Family. We look forward to celebrating other special occasions there in the future!!

The Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury Ct. is an amazing place for a Wedding. My Husband Rob and I were married there a couple of weeks ago. We couldn't be happier with how everything went! First, the General manager Doug was the best to work with - he was easygoing, friendly and professional from
the start, and made us and our whole crew feel very welcome. We couldn't ask for a nicer guy to work with and anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact with your venue prior to the event. All our expectations were met and then some. The entire Amber Room staff was friendly , welcoming and made our wedding visions and requests a reality. The service is spectacular and the food was outstanding, our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had at a wedding and people are still talking about our wedding cake. It was DELICIOUS. It was such a beautiful day for our outdoor wedding and there were so many beautiful photo opportunities.
If you are looking for a wedding venue in the CT area, this is it. No need to look further. You won't regret it!!!! The night started and ended perfectly, We are beyond happy with our experience.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Do not look at any other venue, do not contact any other venue, do not even think in your head about another venue. Call Amber Room speak to Doug and book your wedding here. Other venues show you what the packages are and they just churn you out like a wedding assembly line. Doug asks "what do you want?", because at the Amber Room everything is what the couple wants. Doug and the staff know this is not their event but the happy couple's and they do everything they can to make it perfect and they succeed 100%. Working with everyone there was a breeze. Even when we had to postpone our first date in 2020 because of the pandemic Doug helped us transition everything over without any issue. You couldn't ask for better people to work with. They are professional, communicate excellent, are warm and inviting and respond very quickly to any question or concern you have. They go beyond the call of duty and provide service you will not get anywhere else. You can tell they truly care about their guests and the pride they take in their work. Our wedding coordinator Gina and personal attendant Ray were such a pleasure. Gina made sure everything flowed smoothly and had all the timing down perfect. We didn't stress one second with her at the helm. Ray was with us all evening making sure if we needed anything at all. He even offered to help load the car up, walk our dog and the second our glasses were empty he was there with a refill. The sweetheart table he designed was perfect as well as all his signs for the stations. They are both truly on top of everything and we were so grateful for their expertise and hard work. Three industry superstars with a wonderful supporting cast that gave us such a beautiful wedding and left us completely blown away. As far as the food, our guests cannot stop raving about it. Every item was fresh and delicious. We are still getting texts a week later saying how good it was. It was literally to die for as one guest told me he would keep eating even if he went into cardiac arrest. Between our welcome station, cocktail hour, dinner, Venetian hour and pizza to go station all our guests left with a full stomach and with a huge smile on their face. Even our wedding cakes were personalized for us. The chef, baker and kitchen staff did a wonderful job. The wait staff were professional, courteous and friendly. The room decor was beautiful. The lighting was perfect. The photo booth was a hit. We even had mini golf and whack-a-mole! People are telling us it was the best wedding ever. And it is all because at our first meeting Doug asked the simple question of what do we want. Save your time, save your energy, do yourself a favor and book at Amber Room and thank me later. We hope every social event we ever get invited to forever is at the Amber Room. We are thrilled with our choice and would not change one thing. We were completely blown away by our wedding at the Amber Room. Doug and the entire staff were amazing to work with, we cannot say enough amazing things about them! Doug worked with us every step of the way to ensure perfection on our day, calm our nerves regarding the unknown of the pandemic & responded to the many questions and concerns we had immediately. Doug and the entire Amber Room team went above and beyond! We received (and still are receiving) endless compliments on the amazing food, how beautiful the room was & overall an amazing wedding!! Our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was if it was not for Doug, Gina and the entire staff at the Amber Room. The amber room was fantastic. They went above and beyond making sure our day was just how we wanted it. There were some rain showers during the afternoon and about an hour before the ceremony there was another chance for rain. Doug and his staff moved everything inside under their outdoor tent to make sure if it did rain, we would be dry. It ended up working out perfectly and we appreciate the extra effort that was put forth. The day was perfect, the food was excellent and had nothing but nice comments about the wedding days after. They really do a good job at the amber room and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

In a year of so much uncertainty, the same went for planning our Wedding day. Doug was extremely honest, understanding and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. We were so hesitant and honestly didn’t know what to expect when we decided to go through with our big day on 10/2/20. It by far exceeded our expectations and turned out to be the most memorable night of our lives. All the feedback we received from our guests was so overwhelmingly positive and that our wedding was the first bit of normalcy they have experienced since Covid struck back in March. I would say to anyone who is on the fence about hosting an even during these times; to go for it! Go for it with the help and support of the Doug and the Amber Room staff!

Doug and the team at the Amber Room made our wedding an incredible experience when we had to pivot due to COVID. They were able to help us put together a safe, but still beautiful and intimate wedding experience in under 2 months. Doug and Alisha were so accessible throughout the process and Gina and her team were stars the day of, making our day flawless from start to finish. The grounds are beautiful and the tented patio was the perfect spot for our 25 person dinner after the ceremony. They took all the necessary precautions to make sure everyone was safe the day of our wedding and everything went off without a hitch. The food was INCREDIBLE and there was so much of it, we were full for days! I don’t have enough words to explain just how wonderful everything was, despite getting married in the midst of a global pandemic. Thank you so much to everyone at the Amber Room for making our special day just perfect. We would recommend them 100 times over for all your event needs.

The Amber Room Colonnade was the perfect place for our wedding and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. Alisha, from sales, worked with us to make sure we got the wedding we wanted and was very accommodating to all our special requests. Working with her was a terrific experience which made the wedding planning smooth and easy.
The venue itself was perfect! The grounds were beautiful and their covered stone patio where we had the cocktail hour was exactly what we were looking for. The food was outstanding! Our guests raved about the cocktail hour. It was a stream of endless hot passed hors d'oeuvres and the stationary hors d'oeuvres tables were awesome, the mac & cheese was to die for! Kudos to Chef Chris and his kitchen staff.
Our reception was a blast! Gina was there every step of the way to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time. Dinner service was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful from the beginning to the end and again our guests mentioned how much they loved the food, especially the bacon egg and cheese to-go on the way out to the bus back to the hotel, definitely a crowd pleaser. The DJ made sure we were dancing all night and the magic mirror photo booth was a blast. Everyone loved it. Thank you so much making our day so special and a very memorable one to keep forever.

We had the most amazing reception at the Amber Room. They worked with us for months to make our wedding everything we wanted it to be. The actual day was spectacular from the hall to the food to all the little touches we asked for. We had a large wedding (240 guests) and everyone raved about how much fun they had, how the food was amazing and how quickly such a large group of people were served. If we could give 10 stars we would. On the day everyone from the event manager to our bridal attendant was so amazing, they constantly made sure we both had everything we needed and even came to ensure we had a chance to eat our meals when we were snagged by family members wishing us well and taking pictures. Definetly have your wedding here.

My husband and I just got married on the 12th, and we have the opportunity to see what our roomed looked like before the rest of the guest, and we were in awe on how beautiful our room looked! The staff was so helpful and kind, and Alisha was so wonderful to work with! It was an amazing experience!

Absolutely amazing! From the very first meeting it was clear that the Amber Room was going to be the reception venue for me and my husband's wedding. Everyone treated us so well and at no point did I feel like anything was out of control. Alisha and Gina were there every step of the way to make sure our special day was just what we wanted. The food was incredible, our guests came up to us at the event and kept telling us how delicious it all was. One of our guests was a chef at a restaurant and he was blown away. The cake was so amazing and it was just what we wanted. Our night couldn't have gone better, and the venue was so accommodating to our eclectic and unorthodox tastes. If you are looking for a wonderful, caring staff, delicious food, and an all around lovely venue, look no further than the Amber Room.

First I would like to say that out of all the reviews I will be posting now that my wedding day has come and gone, I take this one very seriously. We could NOT have gone with a better venue for our ceremony and reception; they cared about making our wedding day spectacular as if we were family. We worked with Doug from the very beginning and he is absolutely amazing. He embodies excellence in every way a bride and groom to be needs leading up to their wedding day and the day of. If I called or emailed (no matter how many times or how often) he was always happy to hear from me and happy to answer any and all questions. As a first time bride I had many questions and things I envisioned would be a part of my wedding day and The Amber Room Colonnade wanted us to have it all, they worked with our budget and told us exactly how we could have everything we wanted.

Now let’s fast forward some months and talk about our wedding day. Our wedding day was suppose to have terrible thunderstorms and hail, which was a disaster for a bride dreaming of an outdoor summer ceremony since before I met Doug and he knew it. He waited until the very last second before making a final call, even after I agreed to move the ceremony to a dry location the afternoon of, and decided to surprise me with an outdoor ceremony upon arrival anyway because he knew how important it was to me. I meant it when I said they want you to have it ALL. Perhaps Doug can control the weather too? Although if it were to rain there was a plan A, B, and C in place! Our guests told us and are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and hands down one of the best weddings they have gone to in awhile. I have Doug, Gina, and their team to thank for that.

The Amber Room Colonnade takes so much pride in ensuring the very best and I’m not just talking about their service, or their beautiful location, but the FOOD as well. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious and our guests were trying to take every bit of their leftovers (if any) home with them; compliments to their chef! Right before our wedding day I asked Doug for signature cocktails as well, which he happily did for us; they were beautiful, tasty, and packed a punch. They are always keeping up with current food trends and their efforts have not gone unnoticed by me, my new husband, and all our guests. We loved our espresso/cappuccino station during dessert, the craft margarita bar during cocktail hour, our beautiful and delicious four tiered wedding cake, additional dessert platters, and the end of the night bacon, egg, and cheese to-go station. The quality and excellence of food provided during cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert was taken above and beyond by all the food/drink “add ons” we wanted as well. It will be a night our taste buds will always remember.

Thank you to all at The Amber Room Colonnade for making my dreams and ideas a reality and for making this process so easy that I made all my married friends jealous. Thank you as well for taking care of all our friends and family and coordinating with our vendors while ensuring that my husband and I were fed and happy all night. I have waited way to long to write this review given we got married May2018, but I’m glad I finally got to it.
As a planner I knew what venues were available in the greater Danbury area. But I knew with no hesitation I was going to select the Amber Room Colonnade (AR) for our big day! Bc I only get 2000 char I had to stop short of my reasons but I hope this helps.
The decision was easy. Some have asked me why... 5 things : REAL customer service, on-site decor options, ability to cater to diversity, flexibility, ability to work w/ your budget, and the ability to understand logistics and execute their customers vision. Bottom line The AR gave us a perfect wedding experience. We could NOT have been happier with the end result.
SPACE:With the AR the foundation is there so you can focus your time, money, and creativity on making the space yours with all the final touches. No covering up decor from the late 90s or earlier-yikes! FOOD:Their food is freshly made! From appetizers to main entrees&desserts. Nothing “frozen fresh” No sir! Chef and his team make EVERYTHING from scratch! CAKE was amazing! Monica created a masterpiece. She listened to what we wanted it was Beautiful work AND it was freshly made on sight! DIVERSITY-They cater to diversity! We had 3 cultures represented @ our wedding&it was important to us that cultures we expressed in the atmosphere and food. They nailed it! SERVICE-Gina and Staff looked happy to be there (no one in their cell phone or looking miserable)& they were so accommodating. Everyone working all the time. LOGISTICS-they did what I asked and supported my vision. Alisha&Doug was with me every step. 5. With their never ending list of vendors it was a one stop shop planning. And finally, they are a family so you felt like part of their extended family through the process. We weren’t just a number.

Jessica and I got married at the Amber Room on October 7th. We are completely blown away with how flawless everything was. Doug and Gina were so great to work with. They made everything possible and made our special day one that we will NEVER forget. The food was so good that our guests are still talking about it, not to mention the funfetti Oreo cake as well :) we had our guests stay at a hotel in Danbury and offered a shuttle bus to and from the venue, which worked out perfectly! If I could give the Amber Room a 100 star, I would in a heartbeat. Thank you.

I simply cannot say enough about Douglas Polistena and the Amber Room team, they are truly the best! Doug and Gina made the wedding planning process stress free and smooth sailing! I am so blessed to have had the Amber Room staff as a wedding planner to help pull off our special day. Everything was beautiful and we received so many compliments on our wedding esp... the food! The food at the Amber Room is hands down the BEST food I've ever eaten at a wedding. Many of our loved ones commented that they felt like they were at "the food Olympics"! There is an unbelievable variety of hors d' oeuvres to chose from! The service is top notch. Every single staff member was attentive and beyond accommodating. I really appreciated the staff coming around to each table after dinner to see if any guests would like to bring there entrees home, as we were at the food Olympics' and many people weren't able to finish their meals:) I was beyond amazed at our cake too! Not only was it so incredibly flawless on the outside, oh my was the inside soooo delicious! It was the best wedding cake I've ever eaten! I actually had to put the frozen piece for our "first year anniversary celebration" at my in-laws house, because I couldn't stop eating it! The ambiance of the Amber Room is so beautiful. Between the amazing lightening effects and updated details of the room , our guests felt relaxed and had plenty of room to dance the night away...on the most spacious dance floor I've ever seen! I would definitely recommend the Amber Room Colonnade to anyone in need of a wedding vender! If I could rate this venue from 1 to 10...it would hands down be a 20! Doug and Gina understood our vision and it turned out beautifully! Thank you Amber Room team for allowing our guests and ourselves to experience the best wedding EVER! Happy is an understatement with our experience at the Amber Room. To start, Doug and Gina were wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were receptive with all our ideas, offered us great ideas, met with us a hundred times, and we always left feeling confident that our Wedding day would be incredible as it was.

The food was fantastic, starting with cocktail hour until dessert. you will leave feeling full and happy. ( Doug created a donut wall for us ... it was the coolest !!!)

We also loved having Olga as our attendant that evening. Not only is she lovely , she will do anything and everything for you to make sure everyone in the bridal party is happy ( request her)

Our guests were raving and are still contacting us telling us how great the night was and what a wonderful venue the amber room was.

My wife and I held our wedding at The Amber Room this past weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. Doug and his team walked us through every step of the planning process, meeting with us multiple times to show the space and answer our questions. I can't count how many of our guests have told us how the cocktail hour food was the best they've ever had, the main course was the best they've ever had and how our cake was the best they've ever had. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we were well attended to and the Amber Room staff were quick to respond to needs our guests had. I'm sorry I can only give this venue five stars because they made everything awesome and treated us like family. We explored other venues during the planning process and found the Amber Room offered more bang for our buck and a much nicer room. We're so glad we chose The Amber Room because EVERYONE loved the experience. THANK YOU!!

We would wholeheartedly recommend the Amber Room!
The Amber Room is in a great location. It is ten minutes away from hotels and shopping which was perfect for us and our guests. The inside has been recently remodeled and everything from the ballroom to the bathrooms looks clean, beautiful, and elegant. Though I didn’t get to see the outdoor space during cocktail hour, all of my guests commented on how spacious it was and how lovely it looked. While the grounds aren’t the most breathtaking for pictures, they are certainly adequate and we were able to get a lot of great shots.
One of parts we loved most about the Amber Room though is the food. Their food was out of this world and the variety and enormity of the spread they put together was like nothing we’ve ever seen at other weddings. The day after the wedding, my family literally started writing up a list of all the delicious food we ate because we were blown away by it. To name a few (seriously only a few), there was everything from beef empanadas to coconut shrimp, from lobster risotto balls to sliders, from beef skewers to bacon wrapped scallops, from broccoli quiche to clams casino. My guests are still raving about the food and how delicious it was and how every time they turned around, there was a plate of new tasty treats coming their way! Dinner itself was also fabulous. Even with the big portions, most plates I saw getting picked up looked like they had practically been licked clean.
Another great part about the Amber Room was the people you work with. All of our interactions w/ Alisha were always prompt and professional. She is friendly, flexible, and totally willing to work with you on whatever you need. On the night of our wedding, Gina was our coordinator and she did a great job of making sure our night went smoothly without ever being intrusive or overbearing.
For the reasonable price, you are getting A LOT for your money - accommodating staff, delicious food, & a beautiful venue!

Let me start by saying if there was a 6th star or Elite Star or something like that, they earned it.
We had our wedding planned at the Matrix for 09/10/2017. Unfortunately they went bankrupt and the wedding coordinator actually recommended to go to the Amber Room and speak to "Doug". We took her recommendation.
Doug - he has a sense of ownership, urgency and (1) thing most businessmen lack is heart. Heart into what he does. He never stops smiling, keeps constant communication, very confident and MOST importantly, I didn't rent the Amber Room, I rented Doug! He ensured everything was in place, on time and to perfection in our eyes. Doug, I personally thank you again on this review for truly making our dream come true. Regardless the person, state or year, I will ALWAYS recommend the Amber Room for everything and anything possible because of your services.
Gina - She was our banquet manager ensuring everything is going smoothly the day of the wedding. She checked on us literally, like every 10 minutes to make sure we were not in need of anything. I'll give some examples: we were assigned a personal attendant who made sure our glasses were never emptied, a flame for every cigarette I smoked, kept everyone away while me and my newly wife enjoyed our dinner and followed us to ensure we were short of nothing. Gina accommodated lighting, assisting with seating the guest with her team and her team worked effectively with her leadership. Outstanding leadership Gina and commitment to our wedding.
Lastly, the establishment is BEAUTIFUL, celestial! If you want to the see the pictures, follow me on IG or FB to see for yourself. Seeing is believe. The front entrance is high class. The landscaping is something from Twilight (the movie). The whole area is big and open for party pictures and amazing background for your photographer to take. We had our wedding at the Amber Room on July 29, 2017 and everything fell into place exactly as we dreamed. From start to finish our experience was great. We can’t say enough of how easy it was to work with General Manager Doug Polistena. He was very flexible and extremely responsive to all our requests and always returned calls very promptly.

We were so lucky that the weather cooperated and we were able to take full advantage of the beautiful grounds for pictures, ceremony and cocktail hour. It was so easy to not have to travel to get great pictures.

Our guests raved about the food from the cocktail hour, entrée and cake. It was fun to design our own cake and have it taste so delicious.

Another plus was the large dance floor that our guest fully utilized and we even had great outdoor space to set up our custom-made cornhole.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about the Amber Room! I had my wedding on Memorial Day Weekend 2017 and it was more than I could have ever imagined! My now, husband, is stationed in North Carolina, so trying to plan a wedding so far from home was a bit challenging, but Doug made everything so easy and stress free for me. He was accommodating and listened to my needs and wants for my big day and tried everything he could to make it magical! The venue is truly stunning with a modern and classy feel. My guests will NOT stop talking about all of the delicious food, from cocktail hour to our surf and turf entrée and of course the most delicious wedding cake! Brad and Gina were such a huge help in making the room look so beautiful and perfect to exactly how I wanted the centerpieces set up, to the name card table and everything in between. Monica did our Wedding Cake and I had only met with her one time and showed her a picture of exactly how I wanted my cake to look like, and I was more than impressed. My cake was beautiful and more than I expected, let alone how moist and delicious it was. To this day, my guests still talk about that cake. It was truly the best experience I have ever had working with the Amber Room. Doug was there every step of the way and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to hold one of the best days of my life! My wedding was amazing, and it was honestly and truly because of how amazing the Amber Room was and how Doug, Gina, Brad and Monica catered and cared about making my day perfect! THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!

After planning a wedding, it is obvious that customer service means EVERYTHING and the Amber Room Colonnade proved to be Five star.
We had our wedding at the Amber Room on 1/14/2017.  We chose the Amber Room because they were refreshingly different than the other 15+ venues we visited in CT/NY(many of which our friends were previously married). The amber room was modern and classy. The impressive reception room was large yet still made the wedding feel intimate. The dance floor was beautiful and spacious with a gorgeous overhanging dark bronze tiled ceiling and crystal chandelier. The absolute highlight and pleasure for us was working with Doug Polistena in planning our winter inspired wedding.  He provided imaginative suggestions and options for each of our rudimentary ideas and actually enhanced our vision. They did a great job setting up our centerpieces and decorations for the wedding day. Furthermore, Doug and his staff were available and responsive to our needs. Our guests arrived to a beautiful front entrance and greeted by a locally hired valet service (which is a must during the winter). The cocktail hour was a big hit with mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters and other creative passed horderves. Friends and family were sincerely blown away by the reception room that included lounge furniture by the dance floor. One of the biggest hits at wedding is a new age modern “photo booth” called the Magic Mirror. I was never one for pictures but we loved the way the giant interactive touch screen mirror re-invented photo booths. Doug’s attentiveness, attention to detail, and stress free persona made planning our wedding fun and exciting instead of a chore.  Doug was able to guide us when we needed help and proved to be a reliable source for recommending some great vendors.  The ability of the Amber room to create our vision of a winter theme was beyond impressive.

Great place and very reasonable!! My then fiancee (now husband) and I fell in love with the place the moment we walked in. I would recommend it for a small or large wedding or any other event. The people there are absolutely amazing and went out of their way to make sure our day was extra special. I cannot say enough about the food! We had a Peruvian/Haitian wedding and the chef accommodated us with foods from both of our cultures. Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was. I would definitely use this venue again for future events.

I can't even begin to thank the amazing staff at The Amber Room for making our day one to remember. My husband and I had no doubt that the moment we met Alicia, that we had found the right place for us. Both Alicia and Doug made sure to make us feel like we were at home and comfortable, from day one. They also exceeded our expectation ten fold! Our day was perfect and our guest are still raving about the service and food at the venue. We have been told a number of times since our wedding day (October 29th) that it was hands down the BEST wedding they have ever been to. Perfect is the only word that comes to mind when I think of my wedding day. The staff at the Amber Room worked extremely hard to make this happen. Doug, Gina, and Brad went out of their way and over the top with every single detail. The room looked amazing! They executed every detail with perfection.

The food- OMG!! Chris delivered the most amazing food ever. Every single person comments on how much food there was and how amazing everything tasted. The cocktail hour was an incredible way to start the night and we ended it with a delicious cake by Monica. I can't tell you how many people told me that this was the best wedding they've ever been to! Add in the photo booth and the French fry bar for two more huge hits! We had so much fun and it truly couldn't have been any better. At the end of the night, the staff helped me pack up everything and made sure we were good to go. My husband & I booked with Doug for our August 27, 2016 wedding at the Amber Room. We researched multiple venues first but after careful consideration we decided the Amber Room was absolutely perfect. I come from a 100% Portuguese family & the Amber Room is the only caterer that allowed some Portuguese influence from the outside - some appetizers & desserts. But honestly, without these additional apps & desserts, our guests said there was too much food, which in our culture is exactly what you look for at a wedding. We met with Doug several times over the course of a year & he was always available & always responded to emails & questions very quickly. The reception was absolutely flawless - the entire staff is beyond amazing & organized - we literally didn't have a single thing to worry about. We brought all of our sweetheart table props, favors, hand made menus, etc. a few days before with the intention of setting everything up the night before. But when we arrived, everything was already complete. The details and hard work that went into our reception went above & beyond anything we could have imagined. People are still talking about how this was the best wedding they had ever attended. Food was plentiful, delicious, and everything was super organized and in a timely manner. Olga is outstanding at her job - organized the bridal party the entire evening. Doug is beyond outstanding at his job - organized and detail oriented. Gina is also incredibly hard working. Huge kudos to Chris, the outstanding chef. And Monica, who baked our amazing cake and went by a couple photos I sent Doug for ideas. She created a lace themed cake which guests have also told us was the very best wedding cake they had ever eaten! In my honest opinion the Amber Room is truly the best at their work. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Amber Room Colonnade. From my first inquiry all the way to their follow up with me after the wedding the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. Alisha was beyond great, answered a ton of questions I had, made sure the entire process ran smoothly, had helpful ideas and advice, always quick to respond to any calls or emails. I did not deal with Doug too often but when I did he was very personable, always remembered the details of our wedding and also gave great suggestions. They both worked with us a lot to help us get the wedding we hoped for without breaking the bank.
The day of the wedding was even better than I had hoped for. Olga took care of us and was never out of sight. She always made sure we had something to drink and eat, made sure we were where we needed to be at all times, and helped us sneak away if she noticed we were getting stuck with an extra chatty guest :)
It was very convenient having the venue be on such beautiful grounds to take pictures. Besides the great service, the food was phenomenal. SO many people could not believe the abundance of food at cocktail hour, and the quality of steak we had for dinner. The cake we got that was included with the package was delicious and exactly like the picture I gave the baker. I have to say that with choosing the lowest priced package I did not expect the food to be as great as it was.

I'm hoping to find a reason to plan another event at the Amber Room!

Where do I even begin? Doug and his team at the Amber Room truly outdid themselves for my January 16th wedding. From the moment I met Doug, he was extremely professional, detail-oriented, organized, and very patient. Throughout my year and a half engagement, Doug remained in constant contact with me. Sometimes it was a few months before I would see him again, yet he remembered every detail of the conversation we previously had. It gave me such a peace of mind knowing I could trust Doug with everything! People kept asking me how I was always so calm during my planning process and it was because of Doug. He was so wonderful to work with and made everything fun rather than stressful. The day of my wedding was the best day of my life. When I walked into the room where the reception was going to be held, it brought tears to my eyes. Doug and his team made my winter wonderland wedding come to life. Adding the silver air wall tied everything together! Monica, the baker, made us a custom cake that everyone could not stop raving about. It was a replica of the Stanley Cup (my husband is a HUGE hockey fan!) I could not believe how she was able to replicate a picture that I sent to her perfectly. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted even better....the inside was funfetti and butter cream!! The food served during our wedding was fantastic! It was so nice that they even sent us home with two extra meals to enjoy the following day. Thank you so much to Doug, Monica, Gina, and the rest of the staff at the Amber Room. You all are truly amazing!

My husband and I recently got married at the Amber Room and we cannot say enough about the staff there! Not only were we able to create the night of our dreams, Doug and Gina ensured that everything went smoothly and went off without a hitch. It was a truly magical evening, one that we will treasure forever.

We got married on Sunday, March 15, 2015. We had a limited budget and never expected that we could have our wedding reception at such a gorgeous place! From the second I called to make an appointment for a consultation to the day of our reception, everyone was so incredibly accommodating and professional. Besides our small budget, we were also limited to one date; but they came up with a package that surpassed our requests and imagination. The stress of your wedding day is unimaginable-no matter how simple you try to keep it. But when it came to the reception, I felt like everyone at The Amber Room lifted it off of our shoulders. They dignified our families with last minute changes and requests; cared for our guests as though they were their own family; spoiled my husband and I with our own private room to enjoy champagne and hors'derves (just to list a few specifics). I had my own decorations, and they set up the tables so gorgeously! And the food! Our guests STILL are talking about the food. The steak and chicken not only tasted incredible, but the portions were HUGE. They gave everyone 'take-home' containers-I'm telling you, it was awesome! The hors'derves were delectable. They have a full bar staffed, but we chose to go with wine on the tables. It was so elegant; so professional; I couldn't have dreamed of anything so lovely. It was still very much winter on our wedding day, so we couldn't take advantage of the beautiful grounds for our photos, but if you get married at a warmer time, that's another wonderful perk of this spot. I would definitely recommend The Amber Room. You will not regret it!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Olga and Luke were amazing! The food was great! Our guests still keep talking about how good the food was! Monica made our cake......It looked fabulous and tasted amazing! So happy we used the amber room!

What can I say? The ambee room was perfect in every way. I had a bunch of surprises thrown at me during the month or so before the wedding and Doug at the amber room was very flexible professional and helpful throughout it all. The decorations were perfect, scenery was amazing and both the food and cake taste delicious. Our pictures came out beautiful (taken outside before the reception ). We are glad we chose the amber room as a vendor!

I wanted to write and just express how happy and satisfied I was with the Amber Room. My son and daughter in law were recently married and the reception was perfect, from the cocktail hour right to the last dance! It is by far the best place to have a wedding reception. Doug and the staff are passionate about every detail and make you feel like your wedding is the only one. Many of the guests told me that if you left there hungry, it was your own fault. Everything was delicious, beautiful, and professional. So if you're looking for a place to have your wedding, call them, you will not be disappointed and it will be the best day ever!

I always heard that wedding planning was a nightmare. You see the shows on TV that show everyone losing their minds. After I got engaged, I knew that this was something I needed to avoid at all cost. One might say that a wedding planner is the way to go but our budget was limited. I found the Amber Room through the knot.com and never looked back. I looked at the photos briefly and was blown away with how beautiful this venue was. Surely this place had to be pricey... Then I read on and saw that they weren't just a venue, they took care of everything! What's everything you ask? Cake, food, linens, hanging my decorations and a DJ (who also provided a Photo Booth and uplighting). I visited the venue three times and each time I was put more at ease. The food was AMAZING, the cake was breathtakingly beautiful! Even more, it was made on-site that morning (we peeked!) so it was as fresh as you could hope! And it was mouthwatering to boot. The DJ was everything you could ever want. He was extremely experienced and professional beyond belief. He also came with a huge selection of add-ons. Overall, if I catch wind of ANYONE tying the knot, I'd highly recommend this place. Whether your budget is big or small, it doesn't matter due to the fact that you can change and add on so many things. Give them a call!!!

The Amber Room Colonnade was definitely the best choice for our wedding venue. On our very first meeting, Doug made it very clear that anything we wanted, he would figure out a way to make it happen for us. My husband and I wanted to make our wedding day unique and this was one of the only venues that was willing to cater to our needs and think outside the box. I really felt very well taken care of. I have never planned a wedding before and Doug walked us through each step and made it easy, even fun! The outside area is gorgeous for taking pictures and we had our ceremony on site at the lower gazebo (which they power-washed for us). The setting was beautiful. The staff is amazing, the food was delicious and we really felt like they were on our team and cared about making wedding special. Also, the price. It's a great bang for your buck! We could't have asked for a better experience.

My husband & I immediately fell in love with The Amber Room. We met w/Doug P. who was so kind & pleasant every step of the planning process. We made numerous phone calls & had multiple meetings to create the wedding of our dreams. It was effortless every time. From the moment we met Doug, it was like being with family. He always greeted us w/his warm smile & calming demeanor that put our every question & concern at ease. We also had a lot of assistance from Alanna & Rey who are so beautiful & energic! The entire staff is genuinely so happy for their clients & make you feel like a star! Doug worked w/our budget & did not make us feel pressured at any time. We met w/Luke the week of our wedding & he coordinated step by step how it would unfold. Doug & Luke's level of professionalism is off the charts! The day goes by so fast it was a saving grace to have them help us slow down & enjoy the night we planned so much for. Sue was also amazing in every way attending to the bridal party & continuously checking on me. Sue & Luke worked together as a dream team! It was a privledge to meet the talented Monica who is the mastermind behind the gorgeous wedding cakes! It was amazing being able to speak w/her directly to create our custom cake. I could write on for days about how much the whole Amber Room staff did! The food was phenomenal! Our family & friends are still raving about how high quality & delicious everything was from the cocktail hour to dinner & dessert. And there was a lot of it! Thank you to the lovely wait & kitchen staff! We received compliments as well from our guests about the bartenders who quickly took notice to what people preferred & had drinks prepared before they even requested it at the bar. My husband and I got married a few weeks ago at the Amber Room Colonnade and can not thank the staff of the Amber Room enough! Doug Polistena our coordinator was nothing short of amazing. Everyone who helped with our Wedding Day and planning was so laid back and helpful, we never felt rushed or pressured into making any decisions. They kept us laughing and well fed! We were young and clueless when it came to planning a wedding and the Amber Room made everything seamless. Their staff is extremely attentive and the atmosphere is stunning without being overbearing. We took pictures on the grounds and the trees, rock formation, gazebo, and bridge are all beautiful backgrounds! Inside the lighting was a really nice touch and we had plenty of room to dance! We highly recommend their Photo Booth/DJ package. Our guests had so much fun and we have a copy of all the pictures whether they like it or not! I would absolutely recommend this venue to any bride in the future. Being stress-free is HUGE when you're planning such a big day :)

We had a reception for our son and his new bride at the Amber Room in Danbury. It was exceptional. Our guests were telling us how great it was all day and afterwards, we got many calls and e-mails about that special day. The food was great. Allot of it and top shelf meals. The cocktail hour was great also. Again, allot of quality food. We contracted our DJ through the Amber Room and he was outstanding also. We have another son and if and when he gets married, we will have something for him there also.

My husband and I were married recently at the Amber Room (4/12) and cannot say enough rave reviews about our experience there. After visiting several different sites, we were immediately impressed with the Amber Room on so many levels. As we worked with the Amber Room to plan our wedding, we were happier and happier with our choice.

First of all were the gorgeous facilities. With a huge dance floor in a very large, beautifully appointed banquet hall, it was the perfect space for our reception. The outdoor gardens, and cocktail hour patio, were the perfect location for an outdoor ceremony. We were even lucky enough at the start of April that the flowers on the grounds had started blooming.

Second of all was the food, which we tried at a wedding expo held at the Amber Room. To say the food was delicious is an understatement. With everything made fresh and on-site, the food was AMAZING. The passed and stationary hor d'oeuvres were so wonderful that people were stuffed after the cocktail hour. They couldn't stop eating. Our station style dinner was fabulous, and people kept going back for seconds and thirds. I think the most telling comment from our guests was that the food was completely different from what they think of as "wedding food". The chefs and dessert chefs were terrific.

But most importantly of all were the people. Our first contact was with Doug, the operations manager. His calm manner and flexibility were immediate selling points for us. In our first meeting he said "We want to create the wedding that YOU want to have", and they followed through on that in every way. Through multiple meetings we designed the wedding of our dreams, at a price we could afford. Even last minute ideas and changes were worked in flawlessly, and Doug was so amazing to work with. Dimitri, our banquet manager running everything on the day our wedding was a miracle worker, doing everything from managing the timing of the whole day, to jumping in behind the bar to make sure people weren't waiting in line, to checking to make sure we had drinks and food. The entire service staff were incredibly attentive, including Suzanne, our personal wedding party attendant, who always made sure we had anything we needed.

We loved EVERYTHING about our wedding, and the Amber Room, and we wouldn't have changed a thing. In short, it is the look and feel of the Amber Room that will pull you in, but it is the amazing people you work with there that will make you hope for another event so that you can go back again!

Doug, Luke and Gina made our wedding day PERFECT! I could not have asked for better service or food. Doug was very responsive to every phone call or email and understood all our needs. I would recommend The Amber Room to any bride looking for outstanding quality and service. It was a perfect night to remember.

I had my wedding at the Amber Room in 2007 and everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was incredible and the staff was so helpful. I would recommend the Amber Room to anyone! Beautiful grounds outside too!!

The Amber Room was so accommadating. The wedding package including a lot of food and services for a great price. The day of the wedding, everyone catered to our needs as well as all of our guests. The food was excellent! Everything went smoothly and we had an awesome wedding day!!

The Amber Room was absolutely FANTASTIC for our December 2023 Winter wedding! I loved how professional everybody involved was. What I loved the most in terms of planning was their TOP TIER communication skills. Katie was ALWAYS super on top of the event with promp emails, calls, and meetings. Katie is such a professional event planner and always made us feel comfortable, safe, a LOT less anxious and overall, she is just amazing at what she does! Her whole team too! The Amber Room is a beautiful place for any celebration and we are so proud that it is in our own hometown, what a Greater Danbury Area gem! Food was delicious, drinks were great, wait staff was kind and on top of it. We are so happy we booked our special day with them, for real! Thank you Amber Room!!

When the Amber Room said they could customize our wedding they went above and beyond to deliver a magical evening surpassing our expectations. My husband Bart and I got married at the Amber Room on October 3, 2015. We didn't want a cookie-cutter traditional wedding, but rather a cocktail-styled party with food served throughout the night and a classy nightclub feel. From our first meeting with Doug all the way through to the end of the reception with Olga they didn't leave a detail unturned. They took their time to understand our vision and brought it to life. We were supposed to get married outside, but due to inclement weather from a hurricane they turned the tented patio into a romantic ceremony site and were able to change the space, full of guests, into a fancy cocktail hour seamlessly. We continue to hear how great the food was from our guests who were especially impressed with the quality and variety of appetizers during the cocktail hour. Our reception continued inside where large tables were mixed with lounge furniture and food stations were scattered throughout the room. We were super impressed by the cake, which was made on site. It's rare to have a wedding cake that is both beautiful and delicious but the Amber Room did both. From a bride and groom prospective… The planning process was made easy and even fun thanks to Doug. The event staff the night of the wedding was always right there to help, very attentive but never overwhelming. We cannot say enough good things about the staff, whose professionalism was through the roof. You could tell how much pride they have in putting together an amazing event, and how much they really care about their clients. We would HIGHLY recommend the Amber Room to anyone… from the most traditional to the most outside the box. Thank you again to Doug, Olga, Gina and the entire staff.

The Amber Room staff is exceptional. We could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else! I can’t say enough good things about the Amber Room. The staff was everything. They were on top of everything to make our day the best it could be. Down to management changing out lightbulbs in the bridal suite to make sure we had the best lighting to get ready.

Cocktail hour was nothing short of amazing. The amount of food and quality was more than I could have imagined. Weeks after our wedding our guests were still talking about the food!!

We also used the grounds for our ceremony, which was perfect. The flow from the ceremony to cocktail hour was so easy and made it simple for our guests.

I would highly recommend the Amber Room to couples who are looking there! We were so happy with their service. They made it very personable. We felt like we were dealing with people who really cares about our day and making it special for us.

The Amber Room staff was very flexible for a Friday night, winter wedding. I was able to rent the larger room and they were very accommodating on the pricing. The event in the second room canceled due to weather; therefore I obtained the extra staff's attention throughout the night at no additional cost. The night went off without a hitch and as the bride, I had one staff member who attended to my every food/ drink and any other need that I had.
