Wedding Memories

Amarante's will forever have a place in my heart. From the moment I saw the place in a dream to seeing it in person, it was everything my partner and I wanted in a venue. When I initially reached out, I remember the date I wanted to get married was booked but somehow a miracle worked in my favor. I was calling Dominic at every instant and he politely answered all my questions. I also attended the tasting and bridal show which was amazing. This journey to my big day was truly an experience for my partner and I. Jose, the banquet manager was very helpful. The team was very accomodating, even with my last minute changes. On the day of my wedding, we had showers, and it still turned out to be one of the most beautiful ceremonies. The team was working all hands on deck to make sure my guests felt the warmth while the bridal party was comfortable. Darlene was the best host!! The food, ambience, waterfront, and sunset was ALL worth it!! Whatever was not eaten was packed up for me; a very kind and rare gesture for a wedding venue. Amarante's will definately be part of my family tradition- I'll need a reason to host an event there at every opportunity. I realized it was not so much about the money they were receiving but curating an atmosphere to make each couple's day unique. It's been three months and I am still relieving every moment of my time spent at Amarante's Sea Cliff.

Wish I could relive this day over and over!

I had my wedding at Amatante's last month and it was the perfect day! Everyone at Amarante's was amazing from our first meeting to our Wedding! We worked with Dominic the most and he was fantastic- very outgoing, organized, friendly and was always there to answer any questions we had. Darlene was our Maître D' and she was incredible, she was beyond attentive, made sure we had everything we needed, kept us informed of what what happening next in the day and was just overall beyond lovely! Jose was a huge help with all the decorations we brought it and made sure everything we had visioned came to life. The owners were such nice people to work with and everyone there treated us like family. I would recommend Amarante's a million times over. The venue itself was gorgeous inside and out and I'm so glad to have celebrated my happiest day here!

Highly Recommend

We had the best experience with Amarante's and would highly recommend it to any couples looking for a CT venue! The view is beautiful and the space is well-maintained and up to date. The food is fantastic!! So many of our guests said it was one of the best wedding meals they have ever had. We worked with Dominic from our initial visit all the way through to the wedding and he was so knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Our maitre'd, Darlene, was amazing and made sure the entire wedding day ran smoothly. We are so happy that we chose Amarante's!

Amarante's incredible staff, beautiful setting, and delicious food made our big day perfect.

Our wedding at Amarante's was a dream come true. Truly. My husband and I fell in love with the place (ours was held at The Inn) the moment we saw it. From the initial booking to the big day, every aspect went smoothly through the exceptional professionalism of Dominic and all of the staff. Dominic answered all of my emails and phone calls immediately - making it feel like ours was the only wedding they were handling. I don't know how he does it. The booking process was easy and we were grateful to snag one of the last available days in 2024. At every step along the way, we felt reassured that we were in great hands, which took a lot of stress off of the event. Our wedding was in September and like all brides with outdoor weddings, I obsessively checked the weather leading up to the day. We lucked out with a gorgeous day. But even if it had been overcast or hot or chilly, honestly, the setting is so breathtaking that it wouldn't have mattered as much as I thought. After a gorgeous ceremony and formal photos on the lawn, we went to join everyone in the dining area. We were generously welcomed by our maître d of the evening, Darlene. Our schedule was tight and she executed all aspects of it with grace and poise -- always checking in to see if we needed anything. I've never experienced better hospitality. Our DJ worked creatively with the dance space, located off the side entrance and separate from the dining room. It's a bit small, but we knew that going into it, and managed to get most people out on the floor during the evening. Our wedding was months ago, and our guests still talk about the stunning views from the deck, the delicious food, and how much fun they had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or more perfect day. Amarante's gave us a true fairy tale memory to cherish for the rest of our lives!

Wonderful Venue!

Amarantes was a wonderful venue for our day! The food was delicious and our guests raved about the quality (and quantity!). The staff was incredibly attentive to the needs of the guests and the wedding party. They were also super flexible when a few things came up last minute. The view from the deck and tge gazebo was also beautiful, and we lucked out with the weather for our mid-April wedding. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Experience!

I cannot say enough good things about Amarante’s! We got married there this August and had the most wonderful day. The entire staff was incredibly helpful through the entire process! Dominic was so responsive and helped guide us through planning. Jose was amazing as well, making sure everything went smoothly down to the last detail. You can really feel his passion for providing amazing service. My guests could not stop raving about the food from cocktail hour through dessert, with a special acknowledgment for the filet that cut like butter! The service and the sunset are a steal for the price. We highly recommend this venue for anyone who is looking for a one stop shop for their wedding. This family business made us feel so special and the amazing views and fantastic sunset created the perfect day!

Amarante’s Sea Cliff

Amarante’s Sea Cliff was a wonderful experience. All aspects leading up to the wedding, and the day itself were handled with the utmost care and professionalism. The food was delicious at the cocktail hour and the dinner. The service was spot on. Communication throughout the wedding process was always easy and questions were answered in a timely fashion by one person who knew all the details of our daughter’s special day. I highly recommend this hidden gem which has 70 years of experience hosting one of the most special days in one’s life, your wedding day.

Wedding Perfection!

We were married on May 31, 2024, in a 6:30 pm ceremony. First the setting was second to none. The sunset on the water made for the most amazing backdrop. That being said, it's not only the location that should drive you to select Amarante's Sea Cliff. A picturesque setting can be created by anyone, what Amarante's has created is far more difficult to find. Let me share with you a few of my highlights:
1. They were always available when I had a question about the planning process. Never made me feel like my question was silly or bothersome, even if I needed to ask the same question a second time.
2. The food was amazing. From the passed hors d'oeuvres, dinner selections, and the fresh warm pretzels for a late-night snack, everything was perfect.
3. The Grand Ballroom, spacious enough for all of our 105 guests, with plenty of room to spare. We walked into the room with every table perfectly placed. The twinkle lights on the ceiling, to the classic white chairs and updated carpeting and dance floor make the space beautiful before you add your first decoration!
4. Finally, the personal assigned "Wedding Director" for the evening. I cannot remember her official title, but she was my BFF for the entire evening. She ensured that I and my guests were where we needed to be every step of the way. She was also ensured that my husband and I warm food and a full glass during dinner. She was quietly present the entire evening ensuring that the festivities flowed smoothly. Her presence was the icing in a perfectly decorated cake!

This is our second marriage, but by far THE BEST wedding. Every guest gushed about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the staff at the venue were. It warmed my heart to know that our guests experienced the same level of enjoyment that we did!

We had such a perfect day the staff is incredible they are very accommodating and will make you feel special on your day and make you feel like you don’t have to lift a finger. It’s a very charming, beautiful location with beachy vibes. I got numerous compliments from my guest how wonderful the wedding was, and everything was planned perfectly. There wasn’t one person who had a bad time. I am so thankful for Amarante’s!

Incredible experience all the way around!

Let me prefix this by saying my bride and I have a combined 20 years of experience in the wedding industry - with that said our wedding was PERFECT.
Jose, Dominic and Ivan were absolutely incredible, there wasn’t a single thing we needed to ask for from them they were always exactly where they needed to be and had everything setup perfectly beyond our expectations.

The ceremony site was gorgeous, we had a very large (20+) wedding party and Jose did an excellent job pacing our walk in to ceremony and keeping everyone in line.

Cocktail hour was gorgeous on the deck, all of the food was great and the covered tent in the deck made it a comfortable area for our guests to hangout and avoid the heat.
The bartenders also deserve a shoutout. 155 guests and a vast majority of them on the younger side, we were worried about there being lines at the bar. They handled it well an crushed the lines effortlessly.

There isn’t a single complaint I could have, take this from someone who’s been in the industry for a number of years. This is the venue, don’t look further, don’t question it. Reach out and book it you will not be dissapointed. Let your expectations of this venue be as high as they can because Jose will exceed them no matter what.

Breathtaking views and Custom Menu!

It was my dream to have my wedding right on the water (ocean), and as soon as I saw Amarante's, I fell in love with it. It was so nice having our ceremony right on the lawn next to the water. We chose to get a wedding arch instead of using the gazebo for our alter, and it made for the most beautiful photos. This venue is absolutely gorgeous, and I found it to be very affordable for an all inclusive venue. They created a custom vegan menu for us and it was really great! So impressed with the beauty here and the team.

Breathtaking views and Custom Menu!

We are so blown away with our experience with Amarante's for our wedding on 8/11/23. Their staff truly went above and beyond to make our day so special. I barely had to think about, stress or worry about anything on our day because they took care of everything. They created a special custom vegan menu for us, and all the food was incredible. They put in a lot of time and effort to get the ingredients to put together a beautiful spread for us and our guests. Our coordinator Dominic was so incredibly responsive and helpful throughout leading up to the day. Our Maitre' D Ivan was on top of everything day of and was so incredibly helpful with absolutely anything and everything. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We had our photos after ceremony right at sunset and it was just absolutely incredible! Highly recommend!!

Exceptional Wedding Night at Amarante's Sea Cliff

We were so happy with our experience at the venue. From the very beginning in meeting with the staff, touring the room and the grounds, we just felt comfortable and knew that was the place we wanted to have our wedding. They made everything so easy to plan, gave us great tips for getting everything together and took away a lot of the stress in getting ready.

The night we had the tasting could not have been better. The food was excellent, the staff went out of their way to get us what we wanted and we enjoyed sitting and talking while we sampled everything. They also made us feel very confident that everything would run smoothly on wedding night and that they would be available to us during the ceremony and the dinner.

The day of the ceremony was chilly, but the staff had everyone go into the reception room and escorted them outside right before the ceremony started so they wouldn’t get cold. The food was excellent from the appetizers to the main course and everything after. The staff was very attentive to Jen, myself and our families.

Everyone who attended our wedding told us it was one of the best weddings they ever went to. We just wanted to have a great night with our family and friends and that is exactly what we had. Our wedding day and night could not have been better.

Best Venue Ever

If I could give Amarante's 100 stars I would. Our day was absolutely PERFECT in every way. More impressive is the communication, compassion, and flexibility leading up to the big day. My husband and I got engaged in March of 2020 -the very beginning of the Covid pandemic and the same weekend the state essentially shut down. Our entire wedding was planned via Zoom and email. Dawn was outstanding. She returned every email and phone call (and there were a lot -I was constantly asking questions) within hours. Her patience as we navigated how to host our wedding amid a pandemic was nothing short of saintly. We had to constantly shift gears -inside, outside, back inside. Number changes. Spacing and regulation shifts. We need a tent. No, actually cancel the tent we can be inside...the rollercoaster was endless. Nevertheless, our day was perfect in every way. I felt like a queen -waited on hand and foot. Our maitre de, Darlene, was constantly checking in on not only us but also our parents and my grandmother as well, asking what we needed or wanted. Advil? A drink? A plate of apps to tide us over while we did photos by the water? A to-go box for a guest who couldn't eat her whole dinner? Amarante's nailed it. Not only is the facility beautiful (we also had an amazing sunset overlooking the water which made for stunning photographs) but we literally didn't have to lift a finger. Everything was done for us and done better than I could have imagined. Thank you doesn't seem like enough. It was the best day of my life.

Perfect Pandemic Wedding

I could not have asked for a better venue to have my wedding at during a pandemic than Amarante’s Sea Cliff. Throughout the planning process I must have asked a thousand questions as the state kept changing regulations, but every time I would receive a response that put me at ease. The staff is so flexible and understanding and truly have your best interest in mind. The Maitre D set up all of my decorations perfectly, it was as if I did it myself, they truly saw my vision. The food was amazing and we got the most perfect fall night to entertain our friends and family! I highly recommend this hidden gem in New Haven for any event you may need to plan.

October 2020 Wedding

We recently had our wedding at Amarante's Sea Cliff October 2020. Due to Covid, our previous plans had fallen through, and we found Amarante's last minute. With just six weeks until the big day, Dawn was fabulous in making sure everything was taken care of and was so quick in responding to emails. She was so on top of all the fine details. The day was perfect - truly beyond anything I could have imagined especially considering the state of the world. Our maitre D' was AMAZING. Before the night even started she took my husband and I into the ballroom before anyone else to make sure it was to our liking. Throughout the night, she would continually check in with us to make sure there wasn't anything we needed. At one point, I wasn't feeling great from all the excitement and she brought me a "bitters drink" which made my stomach feel so much better. I could go on and on with how accommodating they are - if you're considering having your wedding or event at Amarante's - just do it! You won't regret it.

Amazing service

everything they did was absolutely amazing, the food was fantastic, everyone kept commenting on how good it was. We were waited on hand and foot the whole time! They truly did their best to make everything go as smoothly as possible, i don't think one thing went wrong! Would highly recommend them to everyone.

I can’t wait to get married here!

I am so happy that we found Amarante’s. I attended a bridal show here and instantly fell in love. The view is amazing, the apps that were being passed around were great, and the staff was so friendly. We ended up booking them for April of 2020 and our has been so great with helping us with all the details. We can’t wait for our wedding!

Our experience of having our wedding at Amarante's was wonderful! The staff were very friendly, helpful, professional and experienced! It was such a great pleasure working with them! They were very willing to customized things to help us to fulfill our dreams about our wedding. They paid attention to details, which made our wedding day going very smoothly!

About the food, although I was not lucky enough to have the chance to try the hors d'oeuvre, because I was busy taking photos and getting changed during social hour, several guests told me the food was great and impressive! And I personally liked the buffet dinner a lot! There were a lot of choices, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The food was well prepared and served.

This venue is perfect for getting married in summer. Because the venue is by the sea, it always feels cooler than in the city. And you will find scenes with lawn, sea and yachts, where you can take nice and beautiful pictures with your wedding party and guests.

It was absolutely an amazing and beautiful day!

Our guests still cannot stop raving about how "perfect" everything was. You cannot get better than perfect, and it was incredible.

The empanadas were amazing! But, I can easily say that about all the food. I just say that specifically about the empanadas because they were worth every extra penny. Everything we tried was so delicious! From the fresh food at the cocktail hour to dessert, it was a culinary delight for the taste buds.

The service staff that I encountered, including the bartender, were professional and did a wonderful job. My friend was very impressed she was able to get her dirty martini and thought it was one of the best ones she had ever tasted.

That reminds me: the red and peach sangrias. I almost did not do the signature drinks, and I am so glad I did. They were the best sangrias, I've ever tried.

Finally, I saved the best for last: Ivan, headwaiter. He was wonderful! I feel like I meet very few people, who are doing what they love, and I definitely felt like Ivan loves his job. Even to the smallest detail, like having my favorite drink waiting on the sweetheart table for me, when we walked in (which I know is thanks to Dawn's meticulously note taking too), he had the night covered. I have to admit, it takes a lot to impressed me, and Ivan not only impressed but exceeded any and all of my expectations.

Aramante's has an amazing team that made our night spectacular!

The day your daughter is born you begin to dream of her wedding day, all I can say at this point is that my daughters wedding not only met but exceeded my dreams. I cannot not say enough wonderful words about the Amarante’s venue and staff. From the first day we met with Peter through the tastings, final planning meeting with Grace to the rehearsal. I left every meeting feeling more confident in our choice of venue. Then came the wedding day….again you everyone exceeded my expectations. Your staff kept the flow of the event moving appropriately but with a respectful approach. The food was incredible and everything was served in a timely manner allowing us to enjoy the night.

Darlene the maître d of the evening was wonderful…I cannot say enough good things about her.

From our first meeting I knew that this was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. Everyone is so helpful and the package includes so much, including a delicious wedding cake! They went above and beyond for our day, helping us and having an attendant always looking out for us in case we needed anything. It was a beautiful day and we couldn't have asked for better!

We were extremely happy with everyone and everything at Amarante's who did our daughter's wedding. We received so many compliments about how beautiful everything was from the food to the venue. Jesse our Maitre'd kept everything in line. She did a fantastic job. We loved the surprise you had for the bride and groom! We only wish we had more time to spend there. My daughter and son-in-law said their wedding was better than they had ever imagined.

We are SO HAPPY to have Amarante's Sea cliff to host the reception in our wedding. Grace is very knowledgeable to wedding stuff and super patient to us. She is such sweet and professional! The view is gorgeous! The food is delicious, the staffs are responsible! They even let us use the centrepieces mirrors and candles. They help decorated the table using the bows flowers and arrangement flowers we brought from ceremony place. They even signed a wedding coordinator with us and make sure everything runs ok (you do not have to spend money to hire a wedding planner or coordinator in reception if you booked here). We are very happy to use Amarante's and highly recommend them!

I ANSI happy we went with Amarante's everything was wonderful. The food was delicious. we had a large wedding of 230 people and some how it still felt so intimate. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. The view was absolutely amazing. Thank you again to Grace, Peter, and the entire staff. I was do happy with everything. I can't put into words how amazing Amarante's venue, staff, food, drinks and overall ambiance is! We are SO happy we chose Amarante's to host our special wedding day. Grace and Peter help you through the whole planning process and the maître d the day of was so helpful and made everything run smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful right on the water and if weather permitting you have your ceremony outside and cocktail hour on the deck, you can get some GORGEOUS shots on the main deck of a beautiful sunset :) Thank you Amarante's for making our special day one we will always remember with wonderful memories!

Amarante's was our first choice for our ceremony and reception. Initially we felt that we would get the "most bang for our buck" at this location, the prices are very reasonable in an otherwise expensive industry. I have to say they truly did exceed our expectations on the day of our wedding. The food at both the cocktail hour and the dinner were amazing. People cannot say enough about how good it was. WEather had also been an issue on and off all day and the venue knew I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony. At the very last minute they saw a window of opportunity to have the ceremony outside and took it. They had staff outside wiping down chairs in the blink of an eye. Thankfully the weather ended up holding off for us and made for some beautiful pictures. The skyline and view here are incredible. My husband also had bought some cigars and a small humidor that he wanted to put out for guests. Amarante's liked that idea so much that they turned it into a cigar and cognac bar outside on the deck which was a huge hit amongst guests. Amarante's also surprised us later in the evening with sliders brought out to guests on trays while cheeseburger in paradise played. I thought that was a really nice touch and extremely generous of them. I give Amarante's my highest recommendation.

My Husband & I had a sunset wedding and we we're so impressed our pictures look beautiful. The grounds are kept beautiful, Amarantes has a great staff- Peter, Grace, the chefs, my Matron D just amazing. It was truly a perfect day, nice cool breeze from the waterfront on a hot summer day we couldn't have asked for more! But it got better after exchanging our vows we did an outside cocktail hour which was delicious!!! so many appetizers plus great drinks then we had the buffet style dinner which was awesome! The ala Carte menu with many side dishes to chose from was a good decision and all of our guest enjoyed the freedom to go back for seconds. We are so happy to have chosen Amarantes because they make you feel like apart of the family. Thank You for making our day special!

We chose Amarante's for our July wedding after looking at several waterfront venues in Connecticut. The location is stunning, right on the water, with a charming New England feel and a beautiful wooden deck. We had our wedding ceremony on the lawn by their beautiful gazebo surrounded by lush hydrangeas. Cocktail hour was on the deck with lovely passed hoes d' oeuvres and an open bar. We had a tapas style dinner served at stations in their Grand Ballroom. Guests raved about the food and mingled between the cool ballroom and dance floor and the outdoor deck as the sun set. It was a beautiful event and the staff--Peter, Grace and Jose Junior--certainly know weddings inside and out! Everything ran so smoothly and it allowed us to truly enjoy our guests while Amarante's tackled the logistics!

We cannot say thank you enough to the ENTIRE staff at Amarante's. They could not have been more accommodating. They set up the Grand Ballroom perfectly to our vision even accommodating a last minute light up marquee sign that we wanted hung behind us at the head table. The weather was perfect and the sunset on the water was spectacular. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Grace was with us during most of our cocktail and dinner hours and gave us a big hug as we said goodbye. Darlene, our Maitre D, helped us throughout the whole time we were at our reception. She constantly checked us on us to see if we needed anything and was wonderful to work with. The cocktail hour could not have been better. All of our guests had an amazing time on the deck. Dinner was the best meal we could have asked for. The beef and shrimp were cooked to perfection and all of our guests went out of their way to tell us how good the food was. We've been to several of our friends weddings and at the end of the day when you have a venue that knows how to operate a solid wedding and serve good food, it's all that matters (that and a good DJ). Amarante's went above an beyond our expectations in serving our guests and we are so pleased to have spent our wedding day with them.

Amarante's Sea Cliff was the best choice for our wedding! The ball room was beautiful; the planning staff was easy to work with and the service the day of the wedding was perfect. I rate the overall experience 100%. The guests were “wowed” by the food and venue. We had a few issues with our DJ from The Pros and the Amarante’s staff did everything they could to make sure I was happy and that everything worked out! Amarante’s Sea Cliff reduced the stress that can come with planning a wedding.

Amarante's truly made my wedding a fairy tale day. The food was amazing, the ambiance was romantic, the view was stunning, and all of this was delivered with some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. They were extremely helpful during the planning process, despite the fact that I was planning the event from Texas. Lastly, Amarante's is signifacantly less expensive than other venues of their type, which is what drew me to them in the first place, but nothing is sacrificed in the process. The quality, atmosphere and service were all five -star. Holding your event at Amarante's will make it unforgettable!

From the moment we went for our first appointment to the time we said I do. Amarante's was the perfect choice for us they were very responsive and made sure to take care of every detail. not only were we taken care of so were our guest, I know that if anyone else's were to choose them would have the same experience. From ceremony to reception It was just beautiful. When choosing this venue Peter was very helpful and was able to answer any and all of our questions. Grace let us know that we didn't need to worry about anything including the rain that was predicted. How can we leave out our Matrie D Darlene who was there for us throughout the night and also made sure that our guest were ok!!!!!! I could not have been happier!!!

We dealt with both Peter and Grace both who were always nice and professional. We originally booked the Inn but since they did not have a wedding taking place that evening in the ballroom they upgraded us to the ballroom at no charge. The place was amazing! Our guests raved about the view and the food! It was absolutely amazing! Darlene and Jose were in charge of making sure everything that day ran smoothly. They did a GREAT job! I am so happy with my decision to have my wedding at Amarante’s Sea Cliff. Not only is the venue beautiful, the staff is equally amazing! Grace put me at ease every step of the way. She is a pro and knows weddings inside out. She constantly had to remind me that I was the only one who hadn’t done this yet, and everyone on their staff has been through it a thousand times before. It felt great to be able to let go and trust someone else to handle a few aspects of the wedding planning process. As I’m sure any bride-to-be knows by now, planning a wedding can be stressful . The staff at Amarante’s really simplified the process. Jeremy was also a star player on the Amarante’s team- numerous guests at our wedding commented on how professional and attentive he was.

Amarante's staff was so wonderful to work with. Grace had seamless execution of the timeline of our wedding; the staff was so helpful and pleasant. Everything was perfect from the easy direction of the location off the highway, the immaculate grounds, that my dress didn’t even have a speck of dirt on the train from an outdoor setting. Their staff even took great care in helping my mother walk down the stairs before getting to the aisle. I couldn’t be happier with a wedding venue’s attention to detail from helping my older guest, to making sure each of my guest were happy with their entrée, even offering them seconds. I would tell everyone to look into this venue, and book early if you have a special date in mind. Everyone raved about the cocktail hour and how delicious the food was, everything was cook to perfection, and every detail was polished with confidence and perfection.

Everyone commented how great the food, service, staff, location, weather and decor were. The view of Long Island Sound was spectacular. Food were simply delicious. Dover filet was cooked just right and one guest even complimented how his medium well prime rib was cooked exactly medium well. My mom wanted to seat 11 people at one table and Amarante's was able to accomodate us with an oval table to seat 11. That's so awesome.

Darlene was simply wonderful. She was very attentive to our needs and was so worried about me staining my wedding dress when I ate some pasta with marinara sauce. That was so sweet. It was good to be reminded to be extremely careful with the red sauce. People also loved Jeremy. As for Jose, we didn't really see Jose since he was in the kitchen. However since the food came out so efficiently and were cooked just right, I would have to kudos to him and everyone else too.

The staff also did a fabulous job helping my friend move the flowers from the ceremony inside and set up the centerpieces. I wanted to re-use the flowers to save some money and it turned out great. Last but not least, we got moved to the Grand Ballroom for free since it was not booked for the night. The Grand Ballroom was an awesome venue with vaulted ceiling and dance floor right in the center. It really made our night to have the festivities in one big room. And there was plenty of room to set up the photo booth. Peter and Grace have been with Amarante's for many years and they know how to run weddings. Overall I was extremely pleased with Amarante's and I would highly recommend them.

Amarante's is a beautiful, New England venue that exceeded our expectations in terms of customer service, ease of use, and overall quality. The staff at Amarante's constantly worked to make our day perfect, and were fantastic at managing all the little details that can make a wedding day seem like work rather than your celebration. From the very start, the staff were approachable, always available to answer questions, and flexible with our needs. Although initially we were contemplating having a wedding planner, we found we didn't need one with Amarante's help. Overall, the setting was gorgeous (we used the lawn/gazebo for our ceremony), the food was excellent, and the service was exceptional.

Craig and I got married April 30, 2011. We chose April to keep our costs down a little bit. We chose amarante's because their prices were good, their view was spectacular, and the provided everything we needed. They included the cake, the center pieces, open bar. They took all of wedding day materials such as flutes, cake servers, flowers, etc and made sure it was all out. We had our ceremony at amarante's inside because another Bride was using the gazebo. We were allowed to use the gazebo for pictures, however. It was still beautiful. Doreen (I hope I got her name right) was outstanding. She was our maitre'd and she communicated with the DJ, photographers, and other vendors to make sure everything went smoothly. If I needed anything she was right there to get it for me. Even if it was a cocktail! The Grand Ballroom was beautiful. We did not change any of the decorations or really add to them. You could if you want to. We had a brilliant sunset and the pictures were unbelievable. The electricity in the area went out. They worked with the DJ for conflict resolution and I didn't even know anything was wrong. The food was incredible. For the price, I was really expecting your standard crappy wedding food. The lobster was so tender and cooked perfectly. We had the clambake wedding. I unfortunately was too busy to eat any of the appetizers during the social hour, but I didn't hear any complaints! I'm a no frills type of person so I didn't add any of the extra's to the wedding menu. But they did have options to add a raw bar, venetian tables, etc for additional dollars per head. You can make it as fancy or as informal as you'd like. If you chose amarante's I'm sure you and your guests will love it.

We originally booked The INN room, well before our final meeting they asked us if we would like to upgrade for FREE to the Grand Ball room b/c they did not have an event going on in there at that time. The Grand ball room was awesome! They were so flexible with us they did everything for us and decorated it beautifully! We had two workers with us the day of the wedding that insured me and my husband had everything we needed drinks, food, etc. They were awesome we loved him! and I recommend to EVERYONE that I know that is getting married!!!!! I am so grateful I had my reception at Amarantes Sea Cliff! It was amazing. I had a ton of questions and Peter and Grace answered them with patience and understanding. My guests are saying it was the best food they have had at a wedding. Cooked to perfection and everyone had a hot meal. The grand ballroom was decorated so beautifully. The staff is so attentive. My husband and I selected Amarante's Sea Cliff after visiting early this year. We booked it the same day as our visit. The minute we drove up we were taken by the view! Peter, Grace and Dawn all made us feel so comfortable and we loved the family owned feel. Planning the whole wedding from DC things was a little hard for us. Peter and Grace helped us out every step of the way and always made sure we felt comfortable with how things were taken care of. They were wonderful and easy to work with throughout the whole planning process. They truly wanted nothing more than a perfect day for my husband and I. They invited us for a tasting and after that we knew that the view, the service and the food would truly knock the socks off our guests! During the wedding we heard non-stop compliments of how delicious the food was & how wonderful the service is. We were lucky enough to catch most of our cocktail hour and let me tell you it was worth it. The sunset, drinks and the food were all amazing! With the touch of our rented gold chiavari chairs, the ballroom was stunning. The staff set up everything exactly how I dreamed of it. I cannot thank them enough for being a part of our big day & truly making it the best day ever!

Excellent venue! All of the staff had amazing attention to detail, and the maitre 'd's treated my wedding party and all of our guests like royalty. There was always someone there to help or answer questions. Thanks to Amarante's, our wedding went flawlessly and smooth! Our event was a fusion wedding of two different cultures and it did not flow like the average wedding- the staff always accommodated our requests, and helped us tremendously with the schedule and timing of everyone.Everyone was raving about how delicious the food was. Before we walked down the aisle, staff was there to fix our jewelry and hair, straighten our bow ties, and ensure our position was correct. Excellent service- Amarante's is very highly recommended!!

Amarante's was the perfect venue for my wedding. The views were just beautiful from the room. And the outdoor area for cocktail hour was amazing. By taking care of all the food, wedding cake, linens, and centerpieces, Amarante's made my wedding planning so much simpler! And on the wedding day everything was executed smoothly. The dinner was also delicious, we got many compliments from guests on the entrees.

Grace was great to work with-answering my many questions before the wedding. Our ceremony was outside on the lawn and our reception was in the Grand Ballroom. The grounds were absolutely stunning! A beautiful spot for photos at sunset. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour-my husband and I missed most of it because we were taking photos-but everyone said how wonderful it was. Darlene took care of me before the ceremony and my husband and I throughout the night and made sure all the events throughout the night ran smoothly. I cannot say enough great things about Darlene! The staff were very attentive to a couple family members who had special requests/needs. The food at the reception was amazing. The prime rib and chicken marsala were both fantastic. We had many out of town guests who had a truly fabulous time at our wedding because of Amarante's hospitality.

I selected Amarante's Sea Cliff after visiting early last fall. The minute you drive up you are taken by the view! When I met with Peter and Grace I knew they had my best interest at heart. They were wonderful and easy to work with throughout planning and wanted nothing more then a perfect day for my husband and I. After our tasting we knew that the food would knock the socks off our guests and boy did they deliver! Everyone complimented them on the taste and tenderness of the beef. Having that myself I can say WOW amazing! Although I missed cocktail hour for photos all of the guests were excited with all the options and the fact that the trays were never empty. I had a personal attendant by my side the whole day who walked me through everything like a trusted side kick! She was amazing and I will never forget her! The ballroom is beautiful and lets talk about the back drop of the sunset through the big windows!! I had the most perfect weather as it clearly "never rains" at Amarante's! I cannot thank them enough for a wonderful day and memorable experience with a fantastic price I would recommend them to everyone and anyone who is willing to listen!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! The staff at Amarante's was above and beyond what I could have expected ~ from Peter and Grace leading up to the big day to Jose and Carlos who took care of everything during the reception. The place was beautiful and our guests were extremely impressed with everything. Amarante's helped make this such a perfect day that we will never forget. My only gripe is that, if you don't meet the minimum number of guests, you are charged 17% less the normal per person cost which is extremely expensive when you consider that it is less food and alcohol being served (I don't know if that is normal but it took us by surprise).

Amarante's Sea Cliff was the best choice for my wedding. This facility not only has an amazing view of the Long Island Sound, it also has a nice outdoor gazebo perfect for pictures and wedding ceremonies. The staff was very professional and personal and very punctual kept us on time for everything i would recommend this site for any event

The biggest dream for my wedding was to have our pictures taken on the beach, so we looked for seaside venues to hold the reception. Amarante's was the absolute best value for the money. While they are certainly not at the most inexpensive end of the spectrum, what we had included with our price definitely made it worth it. They have several packages to choose from. Our package included premium open bar, our cake, centerpieces (which I chose not to use, but were actually nice), linens (but not chair covers), two choices of delicious dinners (with the option of adding vegetarian if needed), and a fabulous cocktail hour. Plus, the sunset that we got that night couldn't have been more perfect if we ordered it ourselves. The staff was extremely professional and efficient - the maitre'd was awesome- she fixed a few last minute problems we had with seating arrangements and gifts, and no one knew any different. Be prepared to not get EVERYTHING that you are looking for, though (and I consider myself a pretty low-maintenance bride). The only negative feedback that I have is that we wanted a longer reception (it was 5 hours) and wanted to add time at the beginning, which we were told we could do, if we so chose to, when we signed the contract. When I tried to add time, they wouldn't allow it because there was another wedding before us on the lawn. I would have paid the money like we were getting married there if I knew it would allow us to have more time at the reception. Also, there was no bridal room, and there is the possibility for other wedding receptions to be happening at the same time (if that's an issue for you). Other than that, I give it a great rating and would recommend to most anyone.

What can I say - everything about our experience at Amarante's was wonderful. From the moment I walked into the Grand Ballroom I was sold - the room and the view of the Sound are absolutely amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Peter and Grace were very friendly and helpful to work with; they made sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. And although we didn't get to sample much of the food - everyone told us everything was wonderful. People were particularly impressed with the VERY substantial cocktail hour.

The venue & ceremony

We recently held our wedding at Amarante's Sea Cliff on May 26, 2024. As the bride, I couldn't have been happier with our choice. The natural beauty and waterfront of the venue added an amazing touch to our special day.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented, we received numerous compliments from our guest about the meal.

Our experience at Amarante's Sea Cliff was flawless. The combination of stunning location, excellent service, and delicious food made our wedding day unforgettable. We highly recommend this venue to future couples and to work with Jose who is the Manager/ coordinator.

We were truly blessed to have our wedding at Amarante's. Our day went wonderfully. The food was to die for people are still talking about the canapes. The flexibility of Amarante's cannot be over stated. Not only did they let us play around with the time, they also let us pick the room we wanted. The grounds were amazing and couldn't have been more beautiful.

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. We held the ceremony and the reception at Amarante's, and it is a lovely setting. The staff was extremely friendly, with one exception. There was one person we worked with whom we found extremely difficult, sometimes to the point of rudeness. However, the food, the ambiance, and the rest of the staff more than made up for this one person. We chose the Gala Wedding, which was worth every penny. The desserts were incredible, the bar was well stocked, and the food was plentiful and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend Amarante's to any discerning bride and groom.

We got married at Amarantes and also had our reception there. We were disapointed because we were suppose to have an outdoor wedding, but we had the worst storm that night! So our wedding was inside the reception hall, which turned out to be fine. They did a great job making it look as beautiful as possible considering our stormy weather conditions. The food was great, the room was beautiful and we did have a nice waterfront sunset to look at! I don't know if it was the Amarantes staff or the DJ but we never had our bouqet toss or garder toss as we had requested which was a little disapointing. We also were not thrilled with the maitre d' we had that night he seemed to be very inpatient and was yelling at one of his waiters in front of our guests. We loved Grace! She was very helpful with stubbron family members and was always honest with us. Overall we loved Amarantes and were very happy with the way everything turned out!

We were late getting to the reception hall from the church, and the Amarante's staff were responsive and professional in asking us how we wanted to alter the schedule for the rest of the reception. The room looked beautiful and the food was delicious. It was perfect for dancing.

We had several things that we had discussed prior to signing a contract that the vendor ended up changing. We had discussed putting the dance floor in a different location and the vendor said, "Sure." After we signed and got closer to the date the vendor said, "No, we can't do that." Then they said they needed to put the buffet on the dance floor and I said no. Come my wedding day, they did it anyway. They said, "We are very good at making sure we keep wedding ceremony's running on time." My wedding guests weren't even seated until 15 minutes after my ceremony was supposed to start because the wedding before me was not finished yet. I lost valuable daylight picture taking time because of this. I loved the place and the food. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OF YOUR REQUESTS SUCH AS THE ONE ABOVE IN CONTRACTUAL WRITING BEFORE YOU SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE.

Planning the wedding was challenging for a few reasons:
-I prefer email and emails generally took a couple days to get answered.
-I dealt with multiple people (not by my preference) and they didn't seem to communicate with each other.
-I asked what to do when we showed up for the rehearsal. I was told someone would be waiting for us. When we showed we couldn't find anyone for quite some time and the person we found first was not helpful.

The actual wedding ran very smoothly and the staff was good. The venue is very nice, well maintained, and clean with lovely views. They accommodated us bringing in cupcakes for a couple guests, arranged kosher food for some others, and put out special favors for the children.

We did have an issue with beer. Apparently our open bar only included bud light, unless you were the groom or the bride's father. I honestly neglected to ask about beer selection, my bad, but found this disappointing. I never saw anything that made me expect my guests would receive less options than us. Also, they neglected to put favors on one of the tables. We had provided plenty, and they returned extras after the wedding, and it was a table in between the others, so it really was just an oversight.

I would also recommend them using some type of cover when they bring appetizers for the wedding party during pictures. We definitely thought it was nice they brought us food, but by the time we got to eating it, there were bugs all over it. They noticed in a pretty timely fashion and brought us another platter, which was nice. I really would recommend some type of cover though as immediately we had to stand right with the food and wave the bugs away.

The location was beautiful, food was great...only gripe is that we felt like they couldn't wait to get us out of there. We had an evening wedding and were more than willing to pay for an extra hour, but we didn't feel welcome to stay

Amarante's was the perfect reception venue for my wedding, as it was beach-themed, low key, and a beautiful backdrop. The staff was wonderful to work with all throughout the planning process, until the day of my wedding. The food was great, most of the staff was extremely accommodating, but that's where it ends. On her wedding day, a bride doesn't want to be the one worrying about details or being bombarded with questions from the staff...I was. Even though we had written specific instructions on how the day should go, it was confusion during the announcing of the bridal party time. Also, we used The Inn as our location, specifically for the large deck we were promised for the evening and the views. This would work out great...unless one of the staff decides to let the other party in the Ballroom use the deck for their happy hour. Since it was Grace's family member getting married, they not only used our deck for more than half of our time, but my family and friends, including myself and my husband were treated as if we were imposing on their party. Every time we went outside, even though we were told we could "share" it at that point, we got looks and comments made at us. Since there wasn't enough parking, Amarante's allowed the other party to park on the lawn near the gazebo so our pictures were pretty much ruined for the sunset shots. When we did go outside to try to take some pictures, their rude guests would set off car alarms, just to ruin our night.
This picture will sit with me for a long time...so, even though I did not let this ruin my day, it sits wrong with me. When they tried to make up for their mistake, it was a bunch of back and forths and we pretty much only got offered free drinks and food for a night on the deck. Considering the amount of money our families put into this place, I am extremely disappointed.
I know this will be one of a few bad experiences, as with every venue, but just keep in mind that not all they promise is true.

Beautiful venue , service could be improved on

I had my wedding at Amarante's last month. The venue was gorgeous inside and out. The food was good. The staff was responsive and flexible pre- event. However the entree delivery on the day of the event was slow, we received very poor drink services for our tee-total guests and the owner's post event professionalism was very poor and lacked integrity.
