    After working with Allison on a wedding this month, we have nothing but good things to say about her! Throughout the whole process, Allison was very easy to work with, super sweet, and responsive. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to plan their wedding.

    Excellent!

    Allison is a superb wedding planner with skills, knowledge and professionalism second to none. We started working with Allison right before the pandemic started and she handled with ease and skill the rescheduling of our wedding from Nov 2020 to Aug 2021. Initially we were not even sure we had much of a vision for our wedding, just looking for someone who could help us coordinate it all. When we started talking to Allison, she was excellent in helping us flesh out our thoughts and offered excellent ideas on making it all work out. She is very good about developing appropriate timelines and gently but firmly keeps folks (both us and other vendors) on task without being pushy. She is incredibly easy to reach and responds very quickly to email questions about anything. Her contacts are superb and every vendor she recommended was spot-on. When talking to the other vendors we used, it was also clear they had respect and confidence in Allison and her team. As an added bonus, Allison is a lovely, kind individual who is just fun to be around which makes working with her even better. She was simply a gem the day of the wedding and was instrumental in creating a seamless perfect wedding day. I had the utmost confidence in her and knew she could absolutely handle anything unexpected…and having that ease of mind is incredible at that point. The compliments we have received from our family and friends about our wedding have been across the board excellent. If even considering the possibility of using a wedding planner, I would strongly encourage you reach out to Allison and her team and utilize her services to the utmost that your budget will allow. She is definitely worth it.

    Couldn't have done it without her!

    Allison made planning our wedding possible. She was unbelievably organized and ensured that our day went flawlessly. My fiance and I were living in Florida for much of our wedding planning and we relied heavily on Allison to help us coordinate with vendors. Day-of she made sure that everyone performed per their contracts and made the entire experience stress-free for my fiance and I. I honestly don't know how we would have planned our wedding without her and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a planner who will go above and beyond to make your wedding run smoothly.

    After interviewing 3 different planners I settled on the obvious choice, Allison Barnes. Her calm and cool demeanor instantly put me at ease. I was planning a wedding in the middle of the woods, on top of a mountain-this required a keen attention to detail and lots of knowledge. Allison handled our rural, mountain top wedding with ease. She was instrumental with every last detail. We had to bring in EVERYTHING-generators, bathrooms, water, tables, chairs, tents, etc. From vendor recommendations, handling the timeline of deliveries, helping me find the most cost effective choices-to dealing with last minute emergency details-she handled it all professionally and calmly. Every single one of my vendors LOVED working with her. Not only is she really good at her job-she's also extremely likable. She is someone you'd actually want to be friends with after your wedding is over. I have to admit-I'm sad the planning is over because I enjoyed working with her so much! I cannot say enough great things about Allison and her team. I always have very high expectations and she exceeded every single one of them. I am not easily impressed but she is out of this world good. My wedding was perfect.

    Allison was absolutely incredible. From day 1, we were hooked on her as our planner because she was genuine, warm, and truly wanted to know who we were. She was fantastic at helping us through the entire planning process, and our wedding would not have been so perfect without her. There was nothing that she could not handle, and she constantly put both of us at ease as she tackled all the potential hurdles that came our way.

    Allison was incredibly accommodating, and she did her utmost to make our wedding day exactly as WE wanted. But maybe even more important is that Allison's experience and overall wedding know-how gave us invaluable advice, and her suggestions and insight ensured that our wedding day would be perfect.

    Getting married was so much easier and less stressful thanks to her. She handled all types of difficult vendors, and managed what would have been an otherwise impossible timeline of detailed contracts. We were very lucky to have had her as our planner. We are extremely satisfied with her service, and highly recommend her as a wedding planner. Thank you so very much Allison!!! We wish you nothing but the best!

    Allison is an incredibly talented wedding planner and I know our special day would not have gone as smoothly without her help. I worked with Allison on vendor management through-out my wedding planning as I knew the vision I wanted for my wedding, but knew that I didn't have the proper amount of time to work with the vendors on all of the details associated with having an amazing wedding. Allison was very friendly and was my rock through-out it all. She offered me a list of vendors for consideration based on what I wanted for my special day and it helped me choose the best fit to make my day unique for me and my husband. My guests asked me if I was nervous at all on my wedding day and I said no, because I knew everything was being handle by Allison.

    Allison was so great to work with! She was always sunny and pleasant and was very easy to get along with right off the bat. She was my "day of" coordinator but they should really call that "month of" for everything she did leading up to the big day! The whole night went smoothly and she made sure that we always had anything we needed! She was also a huge help in picking my vendors who were all also amazing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great planner!

    I hired Allison Barnes Events for our day-of coordination and it was one of the best decisions I made! Allison went above and beyond to keep me on track while planning our wedding and she was so helpful to me throughout. Leading up to the wedding, she helped us create a detailed weekend timeline and made sure all of our vendors were updated with last minute changes. During the week leading up to the wedding we had to make weather changes, but Allison was always available and handled everything with grace and ease. Day-of, she made sure each vendor arrived and performed as stated on their contracts. She made excellent calls related to the weather, moving certain things inside in ways that made perfect sense and ensuring that the timeline was followed seamlessly. She and her assistant, Brittany, were so helpful to us throughout the day - we could hand them things and they'd make sure they got to a safe place, or we could ask for something and they'd get it taken care of in no time. Hiring Allison took so much pressure off our families for the weekend of the wedding and we were truly able to enjoy our wedding activities without worrying about a thing! I can't thank Allison enough.

    Allison and her team at ABE are in one word, priceless. I have more of a glowing review below, but if you are considering ABE for your wedding - without Allison and ABE, our wedding would not have been the same wonderful day, and for that my husband and I are eternally grateful. It was the best investment we made in our wedding. We contracted for day of services but really Allison made herself available during the whole process & was very easy and quick to work with. Even with as much planning as my husband and I did, I can honestly admit that I would have been overwhelmed with all of the last minute coordination & day of details that ABE handled with ease. In the last week our venue had a change in catering manager with no overlap and Allison quickly jumped in and caught a few details that were lost in the transition. Our church did not have a service coordinator and our wedding ceremony was going to be the first a new Priest was presiding over. Allison stepped in to manage the entire wedding party and the procession and the ABE team saved the day with handling a rogue ring bearer who wanted to upstage the bride. He was entertained & handed off to a family friend so the ceremony was undisturbed (and they even found the box he chucked & got it back to us). We had several rooms for guests at our venue, which made keeping track of people tricky, but ABE kept us to schedule in a way that was low stress and easy. As a person I’m not typically able to give up control of events thinking I can manage better than anyone. For my wedding I was able to completely relax and enjoy the day knowing the details were in good hands. We loved how ABE incorporated our decorations into the venue and the whole set up. Our vendors raved about Allison & how easy and refreshing it was to work with ABE. They said her enthusiasm and attitude were unique to the industry and that she was a pleasure to work with. Thank you ABE for making our day!

    I found Allison on theknot.com, reviewed her detailed website, and booked her as our first vendor for our wedding day. We used her as our "day of" coordinator which included some month-of coordination in regards to firming up details with vendors. Allison checked in with us regularly in the months leading up to the wedding. She gave valuable vendor advice and even accompanied us to our florist meeting. She is respectful of opinions, but she is also not afraid to voice her years of experience on "what works" and "what doesn't" when asked. All of our vendors enjoyed working with her and found her detailed "day of" timeline useful. The entire day went smoothly. I trusted her to make game time decisions, and she consulted me when she wanted to ensure everything met my standards. She saved the day by repairing my bustle after it was accidentally ripped out on the dance floor. My parents adored her professional and kind demeanor, and they were grateful that she could take care for the details while they enjoyed the wedding. All of our family was from out of town, and so hiring Allison is the best decision we made to ensure everyone could relax and have a great time. Do not hesitate to book AB events if you are looking for a kind, friendly, and assertive wedding coordinator / planner.

    Allison Barnes is a true professional...but she does it all with the cheerful, can-do attitude of an old friend (with a mountain of wedding planning expertise)! She is incredibly organized and was so helpful with managing multiple vendors, haggling contracts, brainstorming creative decor, and most importantly keeping everything within budget!!! On top of all of that, she was always at the end of the phone with any question I ever had and had an answer (or would find out one) for everything! On the actual day I felt so relaxed and calm knowing that she was in charge and had everything under control...and I truly had a fairytale, dream-come-true wedding that I am SO grateful for. I would recommend Allison to anyone!

    A woman's wedding day is one of the best and biggest days of our lives. It was my pleasure to work with Allison Barnes because she made me feel that she understood this. Our wedding would not have been a huge success that it was without Allison Barnes and her team. Allison herself helped us put together our wedding in less than five months. Our wedding was considerably formal and Allison's suggestions, advice, and recommendations of companies fit us perfectly. Not only did she advise us about quality companies we were unaware of, she also helped us to communicate contracts and final day preparations so that I did not have to deal with anything on the day of or the days prior to the event. Allison spoke to all of our vendors prior to the wedding and she made an outline for the day of. Her outline was strategically planned and carried the event perfectly all day. Because of this, I enjoyed my day from the beginning to the end without having to direct anyone or anything. I absolutely love Allison's personality she is fun, witty and caring. When it's time for event planning Allison is one of the most professional businesswoman I have worked with. Her ability to have fun in the planning and then also be very professional made me feel completely confident in the execution of our event. I am probably going on too long in my review. How about this, if you don't hire Allison Barnes for your event I think YOU are missing out. Thank you Allison! The pleasure was all mine.

    Allison was a Godsend for us! I was a VERY unconventional bride, which Allison was always supportive of! Once she got a good feel for the type of wedding we wanted, she took it and ran! We had done a lot of the planning before we started working with her ( bought a dress, locked in a venue and date, invites, research), which is why we desperately needed her. We realized that we needed help, this planning was a full-time job and it was insane! So we hired Allison on a part-time basis, and it was amazing! She REALLY helped to smooth things out with vendors, and was able to relay exactly what we wanted within our budget. And the day of the wedding, OMG, we could breathe easier knowing she had everything under control. It was the perfect day, and Allison was a huge part of its success!

    It has been a little over 2 weeks since my wedding and I'm still beaming about how perfect the day went. Not once was I nervous or worried about the important things getting done. Allison was on top of her game from the day we started working with her. We planned the wedding for a little over a year and she kept us on track during the entire process. Allison found our wedding venue for us and took care of finding all of the vendors. She was completely in control when it came to the negotiations and always listened to what we wanted. Allison also handled all of our decorations for the venue and the place looked absolutely amazing.

    Our guests are still raving about what an awesome job she did. I still can't get over it myself. If you are looking for an experienced planner, Allison is your woman. I highly recommend her!

    Allison was fantastic to work with and my wedding would not have been complete without her! She made everything that I had pictured for the big day, come together just as I had imagined.     Allison was a true delight to work with when planning my wedding. She truly went above and beyond and did more than we ever could have asked for. She brought her experience and professionalism with her from our first meeting together to the wedding day itself. I thought my future wife was a no nonsense type of woman and then I saw Allison deal with our vendors who continuously try to alter things last minute. We couldn't have done this without her!

    100% recommend Allison for any and all wedding/party planning needs!! I am so grateful that Allison was a part of our wedding planning and the coordinating the day of the wedding. She made the whole wedding planning process actually enjoyable and took out so much of the stress.
    I can't even put into words how amazing it was to work with Allison. She made multiple visits to the wedding site with my husband and I (which happened to be an hour drive away). Met with us at multiple vendors during the planning stages. She very quickly gained a sense of our likes and dislikes and was able to help keep us on budget and on the right track. She was never pushy or made you feel uncomfortable. In fact, she was able to sense when I would become uncomfortable when dealing with pushy vendors and she would step in and professionally guide them back on track.

    I can't thank her enough for how amazing our wedding turned out!

    I attended a fundraiser golf tournament and a few corporate events that were coordinated by Allison and was very impressed with the professionalism and aptitude with which she ran them.. She has a keen sense of detail and timing that make the events feel seamless, and she's great at taking care of all the behind-the-scene details without bringing it to the attention of the attendees. She's a problem solver and doesn't panic under pressure!! I would absolutely recommend Allison Barnes events to friends and colleagues.

    I am so happy that we decided to work with Allison. My husband was very hesitant to hire a day of coordinator because of budget restraints - but by the end of the wedding day he was saying just how happy he was that we choose to hire one! Allison was very responsive throughout the entire process. She always responded with thoughtful and helpful answers. Having her there on the day of the wedding allowed my husband and I, as well as our parents, to be able to relax and know that everything was being taken care of. Nothing was overlooked - and everything went off without a hitch! Thank you Allison!

    Allison was fantastic, walking us through every step and explaining what we needed to do. She is also very flexible on things we didn't need to do and on things we didn't want. All of her recommended vendors were solid, and we went with almost all of them. Her assistant was also fantastic. The day went flawlessly, and she made sure everything was taken care of. For instance, all of our guests didn't know that we had a planner and said we had done a fantastic job planning it ourselves. She was on top of things throughout the entire process - when the makeup artist dropped out, she was looking for a new one within hours and had some available options by the time I emailed her. I wouldn't necessarily recommend her to anyone who will be stressed out not hearing updates from her all the time. Since we didn't need (or want) that, it worked out great for us! I also think she was key in convincing my parents not to throw a second reception for us - even my mom, who had had some different ideas than us, kept saying how "perfect" it was. If my sister has a local wedding, she already knows who her planner will be.

    Allison of Allison Barnes Events was amazing to work with. She went above and beyond what was written in our contract to provide us with the BEST day of our lives. During the planning phase, she kept us on track and went above and beyond by driving us to the city of our ceremony multiple times to look at venues, do food tasting, etc. She did all of the decorations for the venue which looked better than we ever thought possible. She also worked directly with all of our vendors so we never had to deal with the headache of making sure they were coming, what time they were arriving on the day of, etc. On the day of, Allison kept everything running so smoothly. We received so many compliments that this was one of the most beautiful and best weddings that they had ever been to. I cannot express enough what a wonderful job Allison and her team did to give us the most wonderful day ever - I never had to stress about anything besides walking down the aisle! She was a true joy to work with!

    We had a wonderful experience with Allison! She had some great vendor recommendations--especially for the florist!--handled a last-minute hiccup with one of our other vendors without getting us involved, and really made the day run totally smoothly. If there were any issues day-of, we don't know about them! And that's exactly how it should be. We did the month-of package, but I honestly wish we had done the full thing or at least hired Allison right at the beginning--weddings are stressful and it would have been great to have her guidance even earlier! Of all vendors to have, I think a planner--day-of, month of or otherwise--is absolutely crucial, and Allison and her team were really great (thank you for the pie and sweet note left in our room at the end of the night!!). It was great to have them on our side!
