This venue was beyond impressive! Book a tour with Kelsey! She was so helpful and it’s better to get the tour in person. Pictures don’t do it justice!

My husband and I chose Allenberry for our wedding in January 2020 and it was the best decision we could’ve made. For starters, the resort is stunning. No matter what season or venue space you book, there is so much charm and character in every space on Allenberry’s campus. It has been perfectly renovated to mix the rich history of Boiling Springs with today’s modern style. This is a venue that will look good with any “style” or “theme” you want, whether it’s rustic, industrial, classic, etc.

We booked Allenberry in the fall of 2018, and Kelsey was always more than willing to answer hundreds of questions during the year and a half we worked with her, even during her peak busy seasons. She was the perfect person to work with because she really listened to what we wanted and made it happen. The wedding industry is not a “one size fits all” space, and Kelsey really adhered to this by going above and beyond with talking to us about what our vision was. Being a control freak and planner myself, I wasn’t sure if I could trust someone with my ideas and visions, but it was so easy to know that Kelsey would do a perfect job for us, which she did. No detail was left untouched, and she added many elements to our big day that we did not even know about ahead of time! She is a true professional who loves what she does and has the skills to back it up.

All of the other staff that we worked with at Allenberry were beyond helpful and kind, especially since it snowed on our wedding day. All Allenberry employees were in great spirits the whole weekend, and were so accommodating to any crazy request we would ask.

Many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best they had ever been to. While I would like to take credit for this, all credit goes to Kelsey and the amazing staff at Allenberry. Not only did everything flow well and look amazing, the food was out of this world and did not disappoint. This is not your typical dull wedding food!

Overall, Allenberry is a beautiful and perfect resort that my husband and I will always love and visit. If you are considering having your wedding at Allenberry, look no further because you will not regret it!

The Allenberry was nothing but amazing! My husband and I were catered to and taken care of all night. Both families were joined with laughs , and great service. Kelsey was behind it all, making sure everyone had a great time. We could not have had the wedding of our dreams without her. We had a perfect experience from day 1 with planning our wedding at Allenberry. Kelsey was fantastic and was a huge help with the planning process and the day-of event. We cannot say enough great things about the resort and ALL the staff! Wonderful experience!

We were married at Allenberry on 11/2/19 and it was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. The entire planning process was organized and clear. Kelsey was AMAZING and basically a wedding planner (including sprinting across the property to get the bridesmaid's bouquets lol). The property was GORGEOUS for our fall wedding. We had our reception in the carriage house and it was the perfect size and so cozy for the ~100 people we had attend. We also loved that everything was onsite. People had the option to stay on the property, and our wedding party split the mansion and the Creek house. We obviously had the catering planned, and we had our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. What I think surprised us the most, was how much our guests raved about the staff. They said they were some of the nicest and most helpful they have ever encountered. Everyone had a BLAST and multiple guests have already returned

As I told Kelsey (wedding coordinator), there are not enough words to say how appreciative we, and our families, are of all the love and support from the Allenberry team. Our wedding was held in early October 2019.

Coordinator: The real MVP! Kelsey was so patient with all of our questions (big/small) and made always time for us. The staff handles A LOT of weddings throughout the year and I recommend folks be mindful of that wherever you have your wedding. Kelsey and the staff alleviated a large part of the planning process for us (stress, included) and it could not have turned out any better. On the actual wedding day, Kelsey served as our point person and checked in with my husband and I to help guide us throughout the day's events. She always has a smile on her face, offers ideas/inputs wherever you need, and handles all the pressure with calmness.

Venue: It is an idyllic location for both large and small weddings. We held an intimate wedding and it felt the right balance of cozy and romantic. They offer different location options for the amount of guests you have -- all of which are lovely. We had approximately 55 folks which fit nicely in the Carriage Room. There was PLENTY of room to spare but they balanced it out so it didn't feel empty. The lodging options (for yourself/guests) are great, and the Mansion, where we stayed, was serene and very clean.

Staff: They are extraordinary! I felt like a queen throughout the day, everyone was so kind and overly helpful.

Cost: Since we had a small guest list, the pricing worked out for us. We visited MANY venues (near/far) and the quality of Allenberry's services/location outweighed the cost.

Food/Drink: Absolutely delicious. We opted for the plated dinner and basic beer/wine package.The food turned out just as it did during the tasting and all the guests enjoyed their meals. You and your guests will not leave hungry!

Allenberry was fantastic. Kelsey and her team allowed us to have our dream wedding. What sets Allenberry apart is the attention to detail, none of our needs or requests went unmet, in fact Allenberry usually had our questions or needs answered before we even had to ask. With Kelsey's help we were able to get everything planned in 8 months while living in Florida. Kelsey was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions.

The day of the wedding was great. The ceremony by the creek ran smoothly and was beautiful, cocktail hour at the mansion was charming and the hors d'oeuvres were incredible. Finally, the reception blew us away. We provided some decorations, and Allenberry added some items to really take things to the next level, Kelsey understood the style we were going for and tied it all together. The carriage house was a really neat venue. The dinner was really great. We had a plated duet meal of caprese chicken and grilled steak, all of our guests were really wowed by the food.

We rented the still house for our wedding night, and are so happy we did, it was just the dream place to stay after our dream wedding.

We were married at Allenberry Resort on 9/7/19 and cannot thank Kelsey Ivan and the team at Allenberry enough for creating the wedding of our dreams! Allenberry Resort's beautiful grounds were the perfect backdrop for our day. We loved that our family and friends could stay on the property, which made our "wedding day" feel like a "wedding weekend"! From day one, Kelsey was instrumental to the coordination of our wedding. She was extremely warm, responsive, and organized throughout the process. She understood our vision and went above and beyond to create a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception that were far beyond our expectations! The food and service provided by JDK was exceptional, and we are still getting compliments from our guests! Our chef Chaka was amazing! Everyone made sure that we had an incredible experience -- making sure that we were well fed and attended to the whole day (and weekend!). We are so very thankful to have chosen Allenberry Resort for our wedding! Thank you Kelsey, the rest of the staff at Allenberry, and JDK for everything you did to create our PERFECT day!!!

Highly Recommend Allenberry Resort for your wedding. Kelsey Ivan is amazing as well as the whole team at allenberry. JDK did an amazing job decorating the place exactly how we wanted it. I couldn't have imagined a better place to have a wedding.

We can't find words to describe the appreciation and praise we feel for Allenberry and its staff. From day 1, Kelsey Ivan (wedding planner) put us at ease, managed our requirements, and orchestrated the entire event - she was instrumental and warm in the entire planning and execution. We had a fusion wedding (Indian/Western) requiring a unique setup from the altar structure, to the food, to the way events were designed. Kelsey and her staff took complete ownership and delivered way beyond our expectations. We had about 120 guests, 60% of whom traveled from all parts of the country and the world. They all felt right at home with the resort's rooms, amenities, and their staff. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Chaka (chef) was like an elder brother who created delicious Indian and Western appetizers and entrees. The serving staff, staff at the Barn restaurant, and all others were like extended family, and made sure each guest had an immaculate experience. All our guests raved about the Allenberry and its service. We are so happy we hosted our wedding here. We created a life's worth of memories. The resort is beyond beautiful with its creek and lush greens, and the wedding photographs are to die for. Absolutely recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Kelsey Ivan and the team at Allenberry Resort. They are completely on top of their game and make sure to leave you with a wedding day you wont forget. From the moment I met Kelsey she felt like a close friend and someone I could trust entirely with the vision I was looking to unfold. She had our best interest in mind through the whole wedding planning process and put all my worries at ease. There are many places you can hold a wedding but to find a place with the support and welcoming feel Allenberry gives you is priceless. I am so overjoyed that we ended up choosing Allenberry for our special day. Kelsey, you are very talented at what you do and I can easily say the day would not have been the same without out! Thank you for everything!

I had my wedding at Allenberry on 9.22.18 and I'm still getting compliments on my venue, food, and the overall experience! My husband and I are so happy we chose to book with Allenberry. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but we were able to have our whole wedding experience on the property. We had family and friends coming from all over the country to Boiling Springs so we wanted to make sure we had enough time to spend with everyone. Allenberry had everything we needed to make this a reality. Our guests stayed on the property all weekend, we had our rehearsal dinner at the Mansion, cabins for the wedding party, ceremony at the creek, reception in the Carriage House, an after party at the Mansion, and a farewell breakfast as well. My favorite part as a bride was having the opportunity to work with Kelsey. She was experienced, kind, responsive, and also kept me on track. I am very busy with work and she always gave me a gentle nudge to meet my own deadlines with the wedding planning process - and she did this all with grace. The morning of my wedding I was concerned about the reception room because I hadn't done anything to set up. To my surprise, Kelsey was there and had already done everything for me when I showed up! She took my vision and made it a reality just off of my decorations and a few Pinterst pictures! I seriously cannot be more thankful for her and her calming demeanor on the day of. There was no one else I would have wanted with me going through the stress of planning a wedding. TL,DR: Allenberry had amazing food, great service, a beautiful venue, and an amazing coordinator you will be happy to have helping you on your special day!! If you book with Allenberry and work with Kelsey, you will not be disappointed.

Our wedding was on June 23, 2018 and I cannot say enough about the Allenberry. The coordination, the atmosphere, the decorating, the food and the service was beyond perfection!

My wedding was 5/5/18 and I cannot express how AMAZING the wedding team ran the day! My husband and I started planning with Allenberry during some switches and the way Kelsey took over just a few months before the wedding really put us at ease!! Every single detail was planned and executed. She also was readily available when I had questions and got back to me quickly. We rented some cottages for the bridal party and got ready in the cottages as well which provided us with space for all the stylists and breakfast/lunch. Kelsey and the team checked in on us throughout the day and I literally did not have to worry about a single thing! Now, let me tell you...not only was everything executed as planned but it was BETTER!!!! The arbor we had was simply amazing but the team also provided additional lanterns and such to complete the look. After the ceremony, we had talked about toasting with some wine and that did happen but what I didn't realize is that the staff would make sure I had appetizers, drinks, desserts, and a good time all night! I felt incredibly special all day and night! They also made additional signage for us to complete the look too!! I'm not kidding when I say all the guests have been commenting on the amazing wedding and the food! Allenberry has seriously become the place to get married in the area. I could go on and on but I think anyone reading this far will get the picture :)

I don't even know where to begin wth our praise for Allenberry for our wedding a few weeks ago. We had ongoing activities for our family throughout the weekend starting Thursday evening with dinner in the restaurant, and finishing with a Sunday brunch catered in the mansion and all the other activities in between! Our family enjoyed their accommodations (we had family in all three lodges), we utilized a cottage for the groomsmen and the mansion for the bride and overnight stay. Family members also enjoyed the spa, lunch and roaming the grounds. Kelsey, our wedding contact with Allenberry, kept everything on point and beyond our expectations. From the food, to the service and the coordination of all the vendors and even her "flair" for perfect decor, the event was spectacular. I can't think of one thing that could have been done better, or more timely, or that didn't quite meet our expectations. We would like to thank the Allenberry staff for being professional but also kind and warm. And a special thank you to Kelsey for making the weekend memorable!!

Our wedding was June 2, 2018. It was amazing. I cannot say enough about how well our day went for us. I was able to enjoy my day stress-free. Kelsey took care of everything. Everyone from our florist, to photographer, to our guests all were amazed at how nice things were. While we took photos and our cocktail hour went on, we had two attendants with us with drinks and the same goodies our guests were enjoying. There were golf carts available on demand for our guests who had trouble getting up or down the hill to the ceremony. These were also available to my husband and I to sneak in some last minute photos on the other side of the venue. Some of our best photos were taken because of this. I can’t thank Allenberry enough for making a day I’ve waited a long time for the absolute best! <3

Allenberry was a one stop shop for our dreamy October wedding. From the space we used for our reception (Carriage Room) to the food, to the accommodations, to the amazing customer service we could not be happier. Our guests were raving about our wedding and I have to thank Jenna, Ian, and Greg for paying attention to every detail.

I will start this with saying 2020 has been a tough year. When we started planning our wedding with Allenberry they had contracted the JDK group to manage their weddings. This contract ended sometime during Covid-19 around mid to late summer 2020. While Allenberry and JDK, from what we were told, are finishing out any in place contracts for 2020/2021, Allenberry will take over any new and future weddings on their own with planning. It is hard for me to separate out Allenberry vs. JDK, as JDK continued to manage the majority of our wedding. I will say I have been in love with Allenberry's campus since I was a child, growing up only about 5 minutes away. The grounds are beautiful and I couldn't image our wedding being anywhere else. That being said Allenberry ended up only managing our bar service and rental of the property. They did help to find me space in the kitchens to keep our dessert table items and our cake, which saved a lot of stress for the day of the wedding. There were a couple mishaps in reserving rooms, but most of that again came down to COVID-19 issues and change in guidelines. I'm sure most of the small items of issue came down to flow and communication, which again I chalk up to a combination of COVID and the change in wedding management for the property. I am sure Allenberry will find a proper flow to future weddings as they take full control over the planning process.

A wedding at Allenberry is truly something special. The character of the grounds and buildings offers the perfect setting for your dream wedding. It is a unique find to have a venue that allows for flexibility and a different location for each part of your event, not to mention lodging and activities for your guests. Our wedding took place creekside, with the cocktail hour on the terrace, and reception in the carriage house. After working through some communication challenges early in the planning process, the staff was professional and our day went off without a hitch. The partnership with the wedding planner Jenna, helped make all of the final details come together and ensure as a the couple, we could just enjoy our special day with family and friends.

Allenberry is a gorgeous location and perfect setting for a wedding. We had our wedding on 10/20/18. The day was perfect, the food was phenomenal, and our guests said it was one of the best wedding venues they had ever been to. A few people commented they would like to
come back just for a weekend trip and another newly engaged couple may have their wedding at Allenberry after how much they enjoyed our wedding.

However, we booked our date the summer of 2017. Since booking, we worked with 3 different Allenberry wedding coordinators as the staff turned over 3 times. With the turnover, Allenberry did honor quotes that previous staff had provided us with. We had issues with guests calling to book rooms on site and were being charged more than what was even listed online, despite Allenberry quoting us a discounted price. In addition they would not return calls for guests to book rooms and lost some reservations. I was able to keep track of all room problems and Allenberry did solve the pricing and lost reservations when we brought it up.

When we originally booked, we were told a ballroom would be built prior to the wedding, which we planned to use if the weather didn’t allow for an outside wedding. Allenberry did not end up building the ballroom so we had no back up plan. We went to visit Allenberry in May prior to the wedding and offered to put a deposit on the carriage room as a back up site for our ceremony. We were told that that was not necessary at that time and they would give us notice if any other group was interested in booking that space. That promise was not kept, and they booked the room without discussing with us.

One of the biggest stresses of this wedding was not having a legitimate rain plan. When I would voice my concern the response would be something like “don’t worry it won’t rain”.

Luckily, it did not rain and the day was perfect. However a lot of this was due to family and friends who helped in setting up and making sure things went perfectly.

Allenberry staff is friendly and professional. They took care of us and all of our guests all night. If it wasn’t for the poor coordination, staff turnover, and disorganization it would get all 5s. I would give Allenberry a 5/5 on location, food, accommodations, and overall atmosphere. I think with time, additional staff training, and a few more weddings, Allenberry will be the perfect wedding venue.

I unfortunately do not recommend the Allenberry maybe for a dinner but not weddings. We had our wedding here October 7 and it was a beautiful venue that’s about it. As we arrived the day before because we booked the still house and multiple cottages between me and my guests. The still house was not ready as they said it would have been so we couldn’t unpack anything. We had a couples massage at the spa which was fantastic. We came out only to find that the DJ for the wedding on Saturday had been in the still house using power. Now as per my made of honor he just walked in to the room and left the door open because it wouldn’t close with all the power cords. We’re still not sure if that’s where all the fruit flies came from or not. We talked to the day of coordinator Kelsey Ivan and she told us that he should have not been in the house that it should have been locked by housekeeping or maintenance but the DJ told us she said it was okay. Honestly we would have been okay with it if someone had asked us but for them to just allow someone into the house leaving the door open with all of our belongings in it was not professional. The worst part we were made to feel like we were being unreasonable and they moved everything to the mansion which should have been where the power went in the first place. our rehearsal was okay rushed but okay and the dinner was okay although my mother in-law said the menu had come out wrong. Everything was very rushed and people were not directed properly. There was no one to greet our guests or help them with place cards seating or signing our guest book. The bartenders served my female family member who was already intoxicated more alcohol and made sexual comments towards her with my family in ear shot during my wedding. My father was appalled at their behavior. Now obviously everyone makes comments but they couldn’t even wait till my wedding was over. Dinner was good as usual the food is always delicious. Everything was going well till clean up. We said to one of the waiters that we were going to bring the presents and cake down to the still house and change then come back to pick up the rest. We went down and found that the cake was crushed. We got back up to the reception hall it was already dark and locked with my bouquet and everything else inside. I was nervous because I had no idea what happened to any of mine or my bridesmaids bouquets. Someone had put them in a safe place in water but no one had told us anything. The fire pits were supposed to be lit when we came out of reception at 10 they had been lit early and then they only had a small bundle of wood left for us once we came out we had to go up and ask for it. Fast forward to morning we packed our cars and we were looking to find out what happened to the rest of the cupcakes that had been out for our wedding as we had wanted to give them to family and take some home since there was more then half the table left. They pretty much said they were probably all eaten and then never answered us which means they were probably thrown out. My family members had problems with the coffee machines in the hotel it didn’t work and when they went up front to get coffee they had to pay for it. My mother in-laws cottage had so many ants. I feel the allenberry is a absolutely beautiful property for a weekend or a dinner they are just not ready for weddings on the scale they are at just feels they were very disorganized. I was emailed and asked for feedback by the day of coordinator Kelsey I replied with all of the aforementioned issues and have not heard a thing back it’s been a week and a half. I felt I spent a lot more time worrying about stuff when I should have just been enjoying my time.
