Best decision I could have made as an out-of-town bride.
If you want to have the most seamless, stress-free as possible wedding day, then you NEED to book Janna Fowler at All About Weddings. I got married at Dara's Garden in Knoxville, TN on August 10th but as I was an out-of-town bride, hiring Janna was hands-down the best decision I made in the wedding-planning process. It was clear from the beginning she had a wealth of knowledge from her helpful tips packet to her extensive lists of vendors and she was always incredibly quick to respond to any questions or needs I had. Once I had picked my vendors and met with them, every single one further solidified my choice of wedding coordinator by letting me know "Oh, you're working with Janna? She's amazing" or "the best" or "she does great work, she's fantastic".
When it came to the week and day of the wedding, her attention to detail was impeccable. She made the day run so smoothly and was exactly what I had envisioned. She ensured everything and everyone was right where it needed to be and kept us to schedule while somehow remaining completely inconspicuous the entire night. Not only was she a fantastic coordinator, but also an amazing person. We worked with Janna for about 2 years to help plan our perfect wedding. We did the partial planning package and we couldn't have asked for a better person to make sure our day and everything leading up to it went smoothly. Throughout the entire 2 years, Janna was incredibly communicative and helpful. She recommended vendors and helped secure our contracts with many of them. She answered any and all of my questions I had and was quick when responding. She went to many vendor meetings with us, which was so helpful in knowing what we needed and to give any advice. Janna’s expertise in the wedding business made us feel very secure in knowing we can trust her on our wedding day! Best Decision We Made!
I seriously cannot say enough good things about Janna! When we first started the wedding planning process, I was convinced that I could tackle everything on my own with my type A personality. The thought of hiring a wedding planner never even crossed my mind until our venue required us to have one. We were provided with a list of coordinators to choose from and we reached out to Janna. This turned out to be the best decision that we could have made! Janna helped introduce us to practically every single vendor we used, answered every anxious email of mine, and even attended meetings with us! She thought of things that we needed to do that had never even crossed my mind and her experience made the whole planning process so much easier. A true angel!
I hired Janna as a day of coordinator; however, she does much more than that! She stuck with me through it all from vendor suggestions to tough, sticky situations. We met a couple of times and kept in touch throughout then she coordinated all deliveries, setting up, and helped reassure me when my legs turned to jello moments before I walked down the aisle :) I could not recommend her enough!

Janna made the planning and choosing of vendors for the wedding a breeze. If you are a type-A details person, she is the planner for you. All the vendors love to work with her and were so excited when they knew she was the planner. She creates a detailed timeline for all vendors the day of so you stay on time and don't have to worry about someone being late. She is the reason we chose many of the other vendors, who ended up mostly all knowing each other. It seemed like she assembled the A-team for us, and because they all know/work together a lot they were a seamless team. The day of I didn't hear of any snafus if there were any. My vision was executed perfectly. She even had chalk to use on a stain I got on my dress. She's prepared for anything! 10/10 recommend!

A Wedding Well Managed
Janna made my wedding planning process and wedding day more perfect than I could have even asked for! Her many years of experience shines through her work. She is very organized and detailed in her work and does whatever it takes to relieve pressure off of the bride. She is very professional and offers much needed advice. Her personality can mesh with anyone and I am so thankful I had her through my wedding planning! She is not only great with brides and grooms, but also offers expert advice and input when meeting with vendors- she knows all the right questions to ask! I have recommended her several times to my engaged friends and will continue to do so!

Janna is the absolute best!!!!!! I used her for day of coordinating and she helped so much. My mother and father got to relax all day! She came at 830 AM wedding day and did every single thing. She made the venue look BEAUTIFUL. I could not have asked for a better planner!!!!! If you are looking for a planner who is always there for you, has great ideas, and keeps the whole wedding on track she is your girl. I could not have asked for anything more. She IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!

Janna saved the day!!
I had planned my wedding (11.10.19) on my own but as the days grew closer, I was getting increasingly anxious, specifically related to execution at the reception site while I was at the church for pictures and my ceremony. Another vendor recommended I reach out to Janna, I called her on a Tuesday and my wedding was the following Sunday - lucky for me, she was available! We meet the following day to discuss details, and she had already reached out to all my vendors, she is incredible. She lifted a huge stress of my shoulders and I had the time of my life at my reception because I knew she was taking care of everything. My only regret is not hiring her sooner! Janna is worth every single penny!!

Type A brides - this is your person!
Admittedly, I’m slightly OCD and a control freak - my wedding was no different. After all, you spend months to years planning your wedding day so handing over control to someone else the week of is not easy.
I hired Janna as my day of coordinator and she put my nerves to rest. She took over roughly two week before my wedding (something most “day of” coordinators don’t do), she confirmed all details with vendors and created my timeline.
On the day of, bad weather threatened to move my outdoor ceremony inside. Janna had everything moved inside and set up, and 5 mins before the ceremony the rain lightened up and I asked to move it back outside. She did so and we even started on time. All of that and she was still so sweet and smiling my whole wedding. I couldn’t recommend Janna with all about weddings enough!

We don’t have enough wonderful things to say about Janna! She helped us create a wedding day that was better than we could have imagined! Amazing coordinator!
Janna did my sisters wedding two years ago, and did such a great job that I knew I needed her for mine too! She is professional, on top of things ALL the time, and I did not have to stress on my wedding day because she is so good at putting you at ease! You definitely need her as your coordinator!

Janna was our Day Of Coordinator for our Destination wedding at The Lodge at Brothers cove and I truly couldn’t rave about her enough. Every single aspect and detail I was hoping would be done well more than exceeded expectations! She coordinated with all the vendors and provided some amazing recommendations. She worked around our planning schedule perfectly, was timely and communicative and an absolute sweetheart. Our day was perfect and seamless and we owe a lot of that to Janna. She took on the entire day with stride and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It, and she, was incredible!

Janna is an amazing wedding planner! My wedding was in 2016 and I still think about how everything went smoothly because of Janna. She provides unbelievable service at a very low price. She attended all of my vendor meetings and helped me sign contracts with lesser known vendors that still provided superior services at discounted rates. She made the wedding day flow smoothly and kept me calm before walking down the aisle. I don't know what I would've done without her help planning and orchestrating my wedding day. Thanks Janna! I cannot say enough good things about Janna. I hired her to be the "day of coordinator" for my wedding. She was incredibly easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, and reached out often to "check in" on my planning efforts offering suggestions for vendors. We are very "go-with-the-flow" people and not great planners, and it was great that she was able to give us a schedule to get on and stay on for the wedding day--something we would have struggled with on our own. Once the day of the wedding rolled around, I was confident that she had it all under control and would be able to set up my DIY decor and flowers as I wanted. The day of my wedding was SO laid back for me because Janna had it all under control. She did a FANTASTIC job with setting up my decor and was just on top of everything. My officiant was 20 minutes late and I knew nothing about it until hours after the wedding (and Janna had her own father on back up in the event my officiant did not show). I am so thankful that she kept me in the dark about the not so smooth running pieces of my wedding, and that I was able to just relax and be present in the moment. In addition to her coordinating, she went above and BEYOND when my photographer asked her to come hiking in her suit and dress shoes in the rain in order for us to get outdoor photos on our rainy wedding day. I could not have asked for a better day of coordinator and I would recommend her to anyone. You cannot find a better person to help you and make sure your wedding day is perfect. We are so appreciative of Janna and her skills.

Janna is an absolute pleasure to work with! She is extremely responsive, professional, and caring. I hired her for day of coordination, and she went above and beyond that. She helped me find vendors and was quick to respond to emails. I had to postpone my wedding, and she was so thoughtful and offered to (and did) contact all of my vendors so I didn't have to worry about that aspect, on top of dealing with a hurricane. What would we have done without Janna!? When I first started wedding planning, I got really overwhelmed and Janna swooped in and saved us! Janna is amazing! We had no idea where to start with wedding planning and knew that we would definitely need help. She came highly recommended from a friend of a friend. She was so helpful with recommending vendors that fit out budget. and she was always there to answer any random/crazy question that i had throughout the entire year leading up to our wedding.
Our wedding was in January and there just happened to be a snow storm the night before so the roads weren't that great. But Janna made it to the venue on time and still made sure that all the vendors were there as well! AND managed to pick up our flowers in the process.
It is now 2 months after our wedding and she is STILL helping me with random things that i still have questions about. She is wonderful!

Our daughter was married this weekend in Sevierville, and we are from Kentucky. We knew we needed help, and we found the PERFECT person to help us!! Janna is amazing! She was so helpful, and worked so hard to make sure everything was running smoothly. The best part about it....Janna helped with sweet gentle guidance! Janna was not only the first person to respond, but her experience and attention to detail was spot on and exactly what I needed. She stood out in the best way possible. I trusted her from the very beginning and took her recommendations to heart. She made it so beyond easy, and was a dream to work with. Weddings are stressful, but with Janna's help, I was able to maintain a sense of calm and ease throughout the weeks leading up to the event, and particularly the day-of. That's no easy feat. Janna is truly kind and genuine. She has been in the business long enough to be familiar with almost all of Knoxville's vendors. It was clear to me that she had a strong rapport with them; Janna offered and encouraged her attendance at the planning meetings. Having her there made me feel secure and confident to make decisions I was unsure about, and to leave all communication thereafter in her hands.
Janna was quick to respond to every need/question I had. She is highly accessible.
Janna led my rehearsal in a professional, confident, and efficient manner. On the day-of, she ensures that all vendors are on-schedule and cared for. During the wedding itself, Janna kept my husband and I on-track, gently reminding us when it was time for cake-cutting, dances, bouquet tossing, etc. Knowing you or your family doesn't have to keep track of time is a real blessing considering how overwhelming (but fun!) the event can be. Having Janna nearby ensures that all you have to worry about is not tripping over your dress! Janna is worth every penny, a small expense considering everything she provided for me and my family. If you're even considering a wedding planner, she's the one.

I had not consider a wedding planner and then at my wedding shower a friend of mine (who's wedding I attended a year before) said I did need a wedding planner and gave me Jana's number! I tell you what, SHE WAS A LIFE SAVIOR! I was planning on having my aunts decorate and set-up the venue, and looking back now, I realize how much stress and time it saved me to have Jana. She took care of all of my day-of details, and when I did start stressing out about the band being on break when we were ready to be introduced at the reception, Jana sprung to and took care of business. She is a lovely person and if you aren't sure of how things should look or the best layout for your venue Jana will give you great advice. It came to the point where I was telling Jana just to do what she thought best. She TRULY gave me the BEST WEDDING I could have envisioned!

Janna was absolutely amazing. Her wisdom, guidance during the entire planning process, and expertise were truly a gift to me, the mother of the bride. When you want your daughter's day to be perfect, she is the planner to go to. We had a large, out of town, destination wedding and she guided me through every decision. Her calm manner and professional insight also kept us on budget. We had a wonderful wedding and my daughter told me it was "perfect". I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Knoxville region and have sent her name on to several others!

Janna was the best decision I made in my whole wedding planning process!! She went above and beyond her duties as day of coordinator. We met multiple times before as well as emailed almost constantly. She knows the best vendors, the little details brides might forget, and how to make your wedding go smoothly. When it began to pour rain as our outdoor ceremony began, we were SO glad she was there to help us and because of her our day was saved! I would recommend Janna to anyone, she is fantastic and by the end of our time together she felt like family. THANK YOU!!

Beyond my expectations!! I am so happy I found Janna as my "day-off" coordinator, although she did a lot more than that. We met twice before the wedding to go over every detail that I had planned and she asked me questions as well. She knew exactly what she was doing and completely relieved me of any stress. I arrived at the venue a little early on the day of the wedding and everything was setup to perfection! (I am very particular and kind of hard to please:) I was able to really enjoy every minute of that day because Janna was there. I can't imagine what it wold have been like without her. (And her rates are so much better than everyone else that I spoke to.) I highly recommend you speak with her about coordinating your wedding.

Janna is amazing. She can do anything and she is beyond helpful. She was my day-of coordinator and I had full confidence that she had everything under control and could just relax on my big day. She also helped me find a DJ very last minute when we had an issue with our other DJ. She literally found another one within 30 minutes of me telling her about the issue - this lady has a gift! Not only that, she is really relaxed and fun to work with. I felt that she was truly excited for me every step of the way and I appreciated all of her help and guidance. She is worth so much and if you aren't sure about getting a day-of coordinator, she is worth it! You will not ever regret the decision or the fee that she charges. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and I know that my family loved her as well! She made it all look so easy too!

I am so thankful for Janna!! Without her who knows what would have happened at my wedding! During the planning process she helped with with everything from finding a vendor to how to shorten the guest list. Then on the day of the wedding she totally rocked it! Because of her I was able to spend the morning with my mother and bridesmaids and have fun. None of us had to run around and set everything up because we knew we could count on Janna to get it done. The day before the wedding we gave her everything that was to go in the reception building. She knew exactly what I wanted and it was all set up perfect! She also helped with the flow of the wedding and reception. Anything I needed or wanted she was all over it! I would recommend her a million times over!!

Janna was so helpful in coordinating our wedding. Not only did she make the day flow flawlessly, but she recommended great vendors as well (photographer, DJ, etc). Janna was always easy to get in touch with, and checked in regularly to see if I needed anything. She handled contacting all vendors the week before the wedding and informed them of the schedule of the day, including where they needed to be and what time. She also kept my husband and I on track during our reception to get through our first dance, cutting the cake, bouquet toss...
Janna was great and I would highly recommend using her for your wedding!

Janna did a great job helping me plan my destination wedding. Because of the distance I was unable to visit my Sevierville TN venue, try any food or listen to the DJ before the wedding day. Janna was right on with everything. My wedding was perfect and I loved how everything turned out!!!

I called Janna a week before I left the country for a month to go to Europe and asked her to help me with the details (I hate details!). My mom and I had both let the wedding planning get away from us due to planning a month long euro-trip and me as a medical student. My wedding was in Knoxville and I live in Johnson City so it was often difficult to make time to drive to Knoxville. Janna was very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process.
Janna made my life so much easier. She took the stress away and not only was my trip to Europe stress-free knowing I had her help, but my wedding went so smoothly!! She came with me to my floral meeting, attended the rehearsal, called all the vendors and got everyone on the same schedule. She was so calm the whole day and was very helpful to my family; she even helped clean up at the end of the night. We love her!! She treated me as if I was her own daughter.

Janna was a wonderful asset to helping us plan and coordinate our reception. She went out of her way to also give us great suggestions for the ceremony, and recommended vendors when we were still searching for some last minute. We did a lot of our reception DIY, so there were so many little details and family members involved, and she managed to bring it all together! The reception was gorgeous, and she kept track of all our activities as well as made sure we were eating and drinking. She was fantastic to work with, and touched base throughout the original planning, as well as kept track of the vendors for us. We loved her !!

I was thoroughly pleased with Janna's services. I went into the planning blindly because I did not know what was best for a wedding having not seen many of my friends or family plan a large wedding. I was slightly overwhelmed at the amount of people invited, but Janna eased my nervousness. I did not worry at all the day of the wedding because Janna was always where she needed to be. I was unaware of how much she did to help until I saw our wedding video! Also, when I needed recommendations for photography, food, etc., Janna was always willing to provide suggestions of those she had worked with before. I would recommend her to anyone (and already have!)

Jana was great! She made everything stress free for me. Especially on the day of the wedding when one of my bridesmaids' dresses didn't fit. With a few safety pins, a sweater, and some calming words...she saved the day! I don't know what we would have done without her!

Janna is very helpful. We did the before event planning ourselves and hired her to make it come together for the rehearsal and wedding day. She was available to give advice while we were planning if we had questions. The last week or two before the wedding she took over dealing with the vendors and got answers to questions when I could not get through to them.

Janna was so helpful from the moment we hired her as our day-of coordinator. During our entire engagement, we have lived out of the state that we were getting married in. Three months before our wedding we also found out my mom had breast cancer and Janna made sure that she didn't have to do anything to strenuous and that everything was smoothly handled during the wedding. The only thing that I didn't like was when she was with us on Friday night for the rehearsal, she left early and did not say anything to me before we left and I didn't actually speak to her at all on the day of our wedding until it was my turn to walk down the aisle. But really, I would call our wedding the perfect day and Janna helped a ton.

Janna was my Day of Coordinator and she was amazing! I didn't want a coordinator but my fiancé made me get one, and I am very happy I did; and I am very happy it was Janna. She thought of everything and then some. She took care of all the arrangements and vendor drop offs while I just relaxed and got ready. Id highly recommend her and All About Weddings.

Great vendor connections but overall very disappointed
Janna’s network of wedding vendors is THE BEST in Eastern TN! You will not have a better team of people to look after you and make your special day come to life than the ones Janna knows best. She’s been in the industry for almost 20 years and we were able to get deals because she was our planner. That’s how well known she is. While this is a HUGE plus to Janna’s services, this seemed to be one of the only great things we can think of looking back on our experience working with her. Here are a few notes of feedback:
Some of the materials she provided seemed like they had not been updated since she started in the industry almost 20 years ago. The information in the packets was outdated and irrelevant and almost everything was printed. When things were delivered digitally, there was no formatting and it was extremely unorganized. It often caused me to spiral because the content seemed like a lot and it wasn’t tailored to information she should have already known about us and our event.
A lot of the details we communicated early on did not seem to be retained anywhere and we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. This caused a lot of anxiety because we had to repeat information like both my parents are walking me down the aisle - not just my dad; we aren’t doing a first dance; we’re doing a first look; we’re staying on property so we don’t need a getaway car. These details are CRUCIAL to the timeline and I never felt confident she retained this information, no matter how many times or in what medium I communicated it.
The rehearsal the day before did not go well. I had a panic attack in the car ride over to dinner because it seemed rushed and I didn’t feel like people were listening. I thought maybe I was just over reacting, but all my bridesmaids came up to me and raised concerns as well. One even called out that she didn’t even seem to know what our new last name was going to be! There were also numerous misspellings of family and party members even though she had been provided the correct spellings multiple times. Janna did not exude confidence and often had to check her notes before communicating something. Even then, I had to correct her on certain things that she was communicating incorrectly (ie. the order in which people were walking down the aisle). When correcting her, she immediately became combative and made me feel like it was my fault and that I had not correctly communicated it with her.
After our wedding day, we had more than a few people in our direct family, wedding party, etc. come forward and say that Janna had given them a bit of attitude either at the rehearsal or on the wedding day. Some said she just had an attitude while others claimed she all but yelled at them when they asked questions or raised concerns. We didn’t experience this, but it’s worth noting since quite a few people have shared this with us.
On the day of, I hardly saw Janna and it was unclear what she was doing all day. She didn’t arrive until after hair and makeup was done and her first words to me were “Where are you going?” with an attitude. No congratulations or a hug or even a smile. I had to ask one of my bridesmaids to get her to help with my bustle after the ceremony and it took them a while to locate her.
The level and attention to detail was lacking. We felt that she relied on her connections and great vendors to carry her forward, but her services were not up to par in our book. We did not feel important or cared for during our planning process and interactions with her.
Overall, we had an amazing wedding because of our vendors, which largely were chosen based on recommendations from Janna. That cannot be undervalued. However, I think it’s extremely important to understand the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator. Our perceptions and expectations of what we were paying her to do were not met, even after asking for clarification and an outline from Janna. Coordinator and Planner are used interchangeably on Janna’s website and I think it’s worth clarifying what she will be doing. Based on the price paid, I believe you are paying for a coordinator rather than a planner. Do your research and ask questions. Being an out of state bride, I was really hoping to have a lot more help planning things than I did. I felt virtually alone the entire year and a half planning process and did not feel like she was a resource I could lean on.
