Best decision of our wedding planning
Synopsis: Ali was such an amazing partner and advisor throughout our entire wedding process, and an even better leader and cheerleader the day of. She was always very fast and thorough in her responses (throughout the 12 months we worked together) and helped us make many key decisions (which was especially important for an indecisive bride like myself). I trusted her completely the day of because in the months leading up to our wedding, she often kept me organized. And most importantly, her pictures came out amazing and beautiful.
Detailed review: After picking out our venue and setting a date, the first vendor we researched was our photographer given our belief that the memories coming out of wedding were going to be the most valuable and important to us. We reached out to Ali ~12 months before our wedding date (along with a dozen or so other photographers) and after jumping on a Zoom to get to know her and looking through some full albums, we decided to move forward with the full day package with a second photographer. Our biggest deciding factors (in order of evaluation) were: 1) Her level of professionalism, responsiveness, experience and organization, 2) How beautiful her albums were (we evaluated her for style, how she captured key moments / emotions, how genuine and vivacious the photos were), 3) Her reviews and 4) How she fit with our personality.
We kept in touch with Ali for the next few weeks but got a true taste of working with her in the weeks leading up to our engagement photo shoot and during the day of. She helped us decide what outfits would work well, where in Boston to do our engagement shoot and gave us tips on how to get ready. I highly recommend doing an engagement shoot (which was part of our package) with her as it gave us an opportunity to become comfortable with having a camera aimed at us (we are both camera shy) and we really got to know her (so that by the day of the wedding, it was like having a close friend photograph us). We were able to do an outfit change midway through the shoot (Ali even helped cover me while I changed in the parking lot) which also allowed multiple backdrops / styles for our wedding website.
As we planned our wedding, Ali continued to be a very important factor in a lot of the decisions we made while wedding planning – from our wedding palette to where we would do our first look to our wedding timeline. She was always very thoughtful in her responses, and I completely trusted her opinion.
On the day of our wedding, Ali and her assistant (Tara) showed up early and got right to work. As we got ready, they were able to capture a lot of moments without us even realizing they were there. And when it came time to doing more formal pictures, they were able to guide us on how to pose so that the pictures looked natural. They brought a light, fun and calming feel to the day and made everyone in our wedding party (and us in particular!) super comfortable, while staying super organized and on time without sacrificing any pictures or moments (we may be one of the few wedding parties ever to be punctual / early). (Key tip: outside of each other, you probably spend the most time with your photographer so it is so important they make you feel comfortable and work well with your personality! Ali absolutely did that!) It is also important to note that we had a separate videographer and I had read reviews that sometimes the photographer and videographer clash and fight over key moments. From the start, Ali built a relationship and partnership with our videographer so they were able to both capture key moments without sacrificing either output.
Despite a busy wedding season over the summer, Ali delivered a sneak peek just days after our wedding. In the sneak peak, she shared some very beautiful moments that we were able to share on social media and that allowed us to continue the high / momentum of positive emotions coming out of our wedding weekend. They also were such a great teaser for all the wonderful pictures that were to come just weeks later and got us really excited about the release of the album. Just as the memories and magic of our wedding weekend were starting to wane, Ali then delivered our entire wedding album which allowed us to relive our wedding once again (they came at such a high quality, especially in the surprising short turnaround time). We absolutely loved the pictures. There was an ample and great mix of portraits (self, first look and couple, group and family) and all were wonderful. She captured a lot of details (décor, floral arrangements, cocktail hour, food) that as a busy couple, we missed / were not able appreciate the day of. Most importantly, Ali and her assistant were able to capture genuine, emotional and very candid pictures of our parents and of us as we shared our vows – which helped bring us back to that exact moment in time. They also managed to get photos of every single guest (we had a wedding of ~150 guests) and because the album release came so early, we were able to print out pictures of every single guest and include individual prints in our thank you cards. It is so nice to now visit friends’ homes and see pictures from our wedding on their fridges or in frames. We were so happy with the outcome of our photo albums – both in the quality and the diverse and comprehensive mix of photos.
Words can truly not express how happy we were with working with Ali and the outcome of our photos. I highly recommend her!

From the day we met Ali we knew that she would be the perfect photographer for us. You could tell from the beginning that she shows dedication to her work and has a true passion for photography! My husband and I were both very nervous at the beginning of our engagement photo session. Ali quickly knew just what to do to get us to loosen up and feel much more comfortable in front of the camera. When seeing our engagement photos, we were overjoyed with the results. We knew we had made the right decision by choosing Alicia Petitti Photography. For our wedding, she made the planning process so easy and was always available to answer any of our questions. Ali made sure to photograph every aspect of the wedding from the small details to all the beautiful moments that happened on our big day. We have so many amazing pictures to look back on for years to come. We can truly relive our wedding day by looking through them all!! We highly recommend Alicia Petitti Photography and we look forward to working with her again in the future!! -

Ali is the absolute BEST. Ali has a unique ability to capture the little moments and genuine emotion through her photography in a way that I have never seen by any other photographer. She captures the real emotion of your special day that makes you want to look at your photos time and time again.
We first got engaged in August 2019 and from the start Ali was so easy to work with and so organized. When the pandemic hit, Ali was so accommodating and willing to postpone our engagement shoot and wedding day shoots. Ali also comes extremely prepared. Before our engagement shoot, she scoped out locations and lighting for the best shots. On wedding day she also arrived early to make sure we got our full day's worth of shooting on time.
Ali takes feedback very graciously. If there was a pose or shot we didn't feel comfortable doing, Ali immediately pivoted - no sweat. Ali was also absolutely critical on our day of - our trolley down and so we had to quickly rearrange the order and timing of shots. Ali and her second photographer Jen (who was also amazing!) were all over it and were able to fit in all our shots in the original time allotted.
Ali quickly got us sneak peaks of both our engagement photos and wedding shots so we were quickly able to enjoy them. We have also gotten SO many compliments on how gorgeous the shots are. Ali's filtering is very natural, and she really is able to capture the candid moments perfectly (while also making you look flattering).
I absolutely cannot recommend Ali enough. If you have the opportunity to book Ali, DO IT!!!! -

I wish I could give Alicia more than 5 stars, she really was that good! My husband and I both really wanted to find the perfect photographer to match our energy, style, and overall feel for our day and Alicia did that and more. Not only are her photos gorgeous, she was an absolutely amazing person to work with. She was always available when we needed her, literally created our entire wedding day timeline for us, constantly gave us advice and was an overall extremely positive presence throughout our wedding planning process (she was the second vendor we hired, after our venue). The day of the wedding, Alicia took control of directing us all to get the perfect shots, and her efficient decision making was so reassuring on a day when you're so stressed about everything going right. I could go on and on, but I will end with saying that if you are up in the air about who to hire for your wedding photographer and you are looking for any of the things I described above, hire Alicia. I'm sure she will exceed your expectations just like she did ours! -

Having Ali as our photographer was one of the best parts of our wedding experience! Covid cancellations and out of state regulations resulted in us having to replan everything in just 6 weeks, finding all new vendors including photographer. BUT luckily we were able to have Ali be our new photographer, and she did an amazing job! Since it was a small wedding, she was the only shooter and i was just amazed at the ground she covered. She perfectly captured our entire day and the photos are beautiful. But the best part about Ali is her amazing personality, she is a delight to work with. She is so organized and thought of everything ahead of time, down to what hanger I was going to hang my dress on! She wrote out the most amazing detailed schedule and stuck to it on the day of, causing the day to run so smoothly. I felt entirely relaxed with Ali in control. When we did our first look and photos together, Ali kept as laughing and smiling the whole time and erased any nerves we might have had. During the ceremony and reception, she was unobtrusive but managed to capture every guest and all the most important moments. She delivered our final gallery very quickly and we are completely happy with the final product. Definitely hire Ali to be your photographer! -

If you are in need of a photographer Ali is your girl!! She is absolutely AMAZING, from our engagement pictures to our wedding pictures everything was picture perfect!! She was extremely helpful in the whole process of helping with the timeline & stress leading up to our wedding. Right before I was supposed to do my first look with my grandfather I spilled something on my dress - I was so upset. Ali was on it with making sure I got a tide stick, calming me down, and before I knew it the stain was out. We couldn't be happier with how all of our photos came out, it is so hard to choose our favorites because they all are so beautiful!! We will cherish them forever!! -

Best experience, best photographer, best photos!!
Start to finish 5 stars! Ahead of the wedding, Ali and I connected to go over who is who, the schedule of the day, and give her an idea of some important shots.
On the day of the wedding, she arrived 15 minutes early, was so warm and friendly and professional all while wearing a mask (#covidbride).
She managed to capture all of the important moments as well as the in between and candid moments we would not want to forget. We had sneak peeks the same day and received all our photos within 2 weeks. They came out AMAZING!
All the love and happiness of the day was perfectly captured in her photos -

Ali is simply phenomenal! I highly recommend her if you are looking for a photographer. She was there throughout our entire engagement to check in and see if we needed anything or to see how we were doing. She listened to everything we wanted and made it a reality with such ease. She made us feel comfortable and heard throughout the entire process. I couldn’t be happier with our photos. They are absolutely gorgeous and captured every special moment. She made sure we had a mix of candid shots which are our favorite and all of the traditional photos! We simply could not imagine a better photographer for our wedding than Ali. I knew from our first phone call that she had to be the one to photograph our wedding - she just has the best personality and you could tell how truly lovely she is. Throughout the whole process, she was communicative, helpful, creative, and just so much fun to work with. When she walked in on our wedding day and gave me a hug, I actually felt calmer, just like having a good friend there! She captured so many beautiful moments on our wedding day. Our wedding/wedding party was large and I was afraid that we would miss out on some pictures, but Ali was so effortlessly organized that we got every shot we asked for and way more! She last minute suggested a first look with my dad and those ended up being some of my very favorite pictures of the whole day. Her personality kept us laughing and we were sad when it came time for her to head out! We simply could not love our wedding pictures more and have gotten so many compliments from people. My bridesmaids couldn't stop talking about how much they love both her & the pictures that she created. We are so grateful that we booked Ali and are looking forward to using her in the future when we start a family of our own :) Simply the best!! -

A Well Worth Investment for Life!!
We could not say enough good things about Ali! When we found her, we immediately booked her for our engagement photos. She was not only fun to work with but also put us in the best poses to show off our "good" sides.
We knew she would not disappoint on our wedding day. We got married on one of the hottest days of the summer and Ali was an all star. She didn't let the heat effect any of our shots.
When we chose Alicia Petitti Photography as our wedding photography, we also invested in a photographer for all of our future life moments. We can't wait to use Ali again when we start a family! -

Masterfully captured the essence of our day
Ali is/was perfect. She met us weeks before the big day at the venue to get an idea of where best to photograph before and after pictures. She had so many ideas & suggestions that helped us regarding photos but other helpful wedding tips as well. Ali always responded to EMails/calls in a timely fashion and was very professional each time. She arrived early on the big day, was nicely dressed and had a huge smile on her face. During the walk down the aisle, the ceremony itself, the exiting of the bride and groom and the family photos went smoothly, efficiently due to Ali's great attitude and experience and the pictures are out of this world. We are so thrilled with the quality of shots Ali took of our family and friends whether the guests knew they were being photographed or not. Ali took shots of everything around here the entire evening without anyone knowing she was there. Of the many weddings I've been in as a member of the wedding party, a family member or just as a guest, I can truly say, I've never seen so many quality, beautiful, stunning, , memorable, eye-popping, gorgeous, fantastic shots taken of one wedding. Ali made our big day one that when the memories fade, the pictures will always remind us of how awesome our big day really was. And that she helped us in making it so memorable. I had a very specific vision for my wedding pictures and we had several conversations leading up to the day because I was so nervous about capture everything. Not only did Ali capture my vision perfectly, she was absolutely amazing to work with. My bridesmaids still won't stop talking about how awesome she is (and want to be her friend) and how I need to submit my wedding photos because they are so amazing. Ali has so much talent and I recommend her to any bride who wishes to have a stress free photography experience on their wedding day. I sent her my pinterest board and she captured every photo on it - not only in photography style but pose. I am definitely going to use Ali in the future and hope to have many more events that require photography! -

Jen Sent on 09/01/2017Simply the best! On a day when a lot of emotions are flying and things can get a little chaotic, Ali keeps it all together. She's more than just a photographer, she's like another coordinator. I'm a time freak, always need to keep to schedule, she knew this and was giving me time checks through the receiving line and all during photos. We had a huge wedding party (11 bridemaids, 5 groomsmen, 4 kids under the age of 4) and somehow it went so incredibly smoothly. I've only seen a sneak peak of our photos but cannot wait to see the rest of them! She arrived about an hour early and arranged for her co-photographer (who was wonderful as well) to go do the men and she was able to get in the limo with us ladies for the fun limo shots, so excited to see them! Honestly, you can't go wrong with her, she's worth every.single.penny! -

When I looked at Ali's website she quickly became my favorite. She had such a talent for photography and is so creative. When I emailed her for her price list I was shocked when I found out that although she was just as good, if not better than all the high end photographers, her prices were much more reasonable. I immediately set up a meeting with Ali and we were so pleased when we met her. She was so kind and knowledgeable that we knew we were in good hands. Ali did our engagement session where my husband and I went to school at UMass Amherst. We couldn't have been more pleased with the pictures, they came out amazing!!! We received so many compliments and used the pictures for our save the date magnets, rehearsal dinner invitations, and guest book. I also had Ali do a boudoir photo session as a surprise for my husband. I was a little nervous about posing for Ali, but she was very professional and the photos came out amazing!!! I didn't know I could look that beautiful! I gave my husband the photo book the night before our wedding and he loved it! I had also shown it to all my bridesmaids and now all of them want to have their own shoot done! As for the wedding pictures themselves, they are just as amazing as all the other photos Ali has taken for us. We have large families and large bridal parties, but Ali was still able to take all of our pictures on time, which kept our entire wedding on time. We couldn't be more pleased with Ali's work. We will be using her in the future for newborn sessions, family photos, and have already recommended her to all our friends! Our wedding would not have been the same without Ali and we appreciate all she had done for us, thanks Ali! -

The engagement photo session was a great opportunity to work with Alicia and for her to learn our personality and used this on the wedding day to capture the fun and goofy side of our relationship.
