If you're looking for a planner, look no further than ANE
Katy, our day-of coordinator, was AMAZING! I truly can't say enough great things about her. She was responsive (both via email and via text), she communicated an incredible amount with both us and our vendors, and most importantly, she was completely on top of all that needed to be communicated between us and our vendors. She answered so many emails and questions without involving my husband and I, and as I was needing to answer enough texts and emails from guests leading up to the big day, not having to answer any vendor emails was amazing. Having Katy handle all of the things that made our day what it was was such a huge relief and weight off our shoulders. Not only was she great at her job, but she was always so friendly and flexible. Thank you, Katy!! :) -

Katy H. from ANE was the most incredible day-of coordinator!! She was incredibly organized and professional and consistently answered our questions in a very short time-frame. The most talented visionary and planner
Our dream wedding was perfect because of Alex. I have never met a more talented, organized and dedicated designer and planner. I was in search for a wedding designer and planner for over two months, when I saw Alex running around during a venue tour. As I watched her from a distance, my Mom and I were in awe. We immediately got in the car and caught her as she ran across the street and asked for her business card, which she had handy before politely excusing herself to attend to the bride. We parked around the corner and read every review and decided to schedule time to connect with her. It was the best decision we made.
Alex went above and beyond in every possible way. From the designing to finding the most amazing vendor team to the day-of execution, our dream wedding came to light. Alex is the most beautiful soul with elegance, drive and leadership.
Alex, we are so incredibly thankful for designing and planning our dream wedding with thoughtfulness and uniqueness. You are an incredible person and we will be forever thankful for all that you did 🤍 -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Alex with Alexandra Nesterak Events for an event to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. We provided our restroom trailer for this event. From the time that Alex reached out about the restroom to the breakdown of the event, she was nothing short of amazing. She was responsive to our emails, organized, and ensured that everything ran smoothly. We would highly recommend her for any event that you are hosting. -

The perfect wedding planner
Alex is incredibly professional, detail oriented, responsive, and provided amazing advice through out the entire wedding process. Her team executed the perfect wedding day. There were zero flaws.
The breadth of Alex's knowledge and ability to think through every detail is invaluable and that level of service is noticed by the guests. All guests commented on how much thought was put into the wedding design.
Finally, on the wedding day, Alex kept everything moving on time. Us and our parents did not have to worry about anything as everything was covered so efficiently.

Alex and her team are incredible!!!
Alex is a God send! We had our wedding at the Waldorf Astoria in DC & our rehearsal dinner at The Hay Adams hotel. We are from Oklahoma so planning a wedding out of town for 200 people would not have been possible without Alex and her team! We interviewed several planners but Alex stood out to us from the beginning. I remember her saying to us when we interviewed her that “[her] husband says this is bad marketing but, you should choose a planner who you fit best with because you will be communicating with them a lot!” And, lucky for us, it was her! She truly wants her couples to be happy!! We hired her for full wedding planning. She helped scout locations, negotiated contracts (which is tough!!), designed each and every detail of the weekend, put us in contact with the BEST vendors, and sooo much more. She is extremely meticulous and every detail has so much thought poured into it. She had our wedding weekend timeline down to the minute. She is crazy organized, professional, quick to respond, and makes you feel like the only couple she’s working with! She is extremely kind and did all of the “dirty work” for us. She helped us stay budget conscious. I frequently asked for her opinions because I knew I could trust her. She ALWAYS gave us her honest opinion!! I can’t recommend her enough! I consider her a friend now and even most of the vendors that we used through her, too. Her work is impeccable and she hit our vision perfectly.-

Amazing, organized, and talented wedding planner
Alex Nesterak was an amazing wedding planner. She was organized and kept us on track. Most importantly, she thought about all of the small but important details we never would have thought of ourselves. She also worked closely with all of our other vendors to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. In the weeks leading up to the wedding and on the actual wedding day she was was never stressed and had such a calming presence and great vibe.-

Best Planner in the DMV!
Hiring Alexandra Nesterak Events was, hands down, the best investment we made for our wedding. While I had a clear vision in my mind of what I wanted for our day, I didn't have a clue on how to make any of it happen. Then Alexandra, ANE’s lead planner, came along. It wasn't until working with her that I realized my Pinterest wedding dreams could come true and happen in real life. And they did, and then some because she is SO creative. In addition to curating the absolute dream team of vendors that aligned with the romantic, traditional but with a twist of coastal and chinoiserie vibes we were envisioning, she kept the process organized, stress-free, and — seriously — so much fun. The only person who cares about details more than I do is Alexandra. I never had to worry about a thing, because if she knew about it, it was handled. From keeping me on track with payments and tasks, to putting together my invitation suites and mailing them out, or prepping our hotel welcome boxes, there was no task that was too big or too small for the ANE team. Beyond being incredibly talented and resourceful, Alexandra is kind, passionate, and the type of person you want to surround yourself with in both a friendly and professional setting, which makes her the most perfect wedding planner. Just like us, our parents, family, and wedding party adored her and her team. Our wedding last March was truly the most beautiful, perfect day of our lives because of Alexandra. Guests are still talking about the details of the weekend, all which never would have happened without her. I would go back in time and hire ANE a dozen times over. If you're looking for a detail-oriented, dedicated, and brilliant wedding planner, you're in the right place!-

Best investment we made on our wedding!
We hired Alexandra for day-of coordination for our wedding in September and I think that this was absolutely the best money we spent on our wedding. She was AMAZING. When we met about two months ahead of time for our walk through at the venue, she was so organized and detailed with every aspect of wedding day. She asked us questions about things we never would have even thought about or planned for. On our wedding day she was an absolute life saver. She kept everyone running on time, dealt with any little issues that came up (she fixed a broken corsage in minutes AND sewed me into my dress when the snap at the top broke), handled all of the decoration set-up and tear-down, and just all around made sure our day ran smoothly. We were so happy to have Alexandra coordinating our wedding day and can't recommend her enough! -

Alexandra and team were incredible to work with during all stages of our wedding planning! Alex was organized and responsiveness, detailed oriented, and so kind. She helped us create a timeline and flow of the day that worked perfectly despite having different locations for reception and ceremony; she coordinated logistics with all our other vendors; kept us organized and calm duirng wedding week and our wedding day; and helped to create the most wonderful wedding we could have asked for! I couldn't recommend Alex enough!
We used Alex as our month-of coordinator for our wedding and she was one of the best decisions we made. She went above and beyond her duty as a month-of coordinator but helping me and answering questions throughout the year before the wedding. Alex is such a professional and an expert of her field. I had zero extra stress knowing that I had Alex on my team because she makes you feel very comfortable and taken care of. I knew I had nothing to worry about because she had everything under control. I really could not recommend Alex enough! -

Best Wedding Planner in DC!
I worked with Katy Hogan from Alexandra Nesterak Events to help plan my wedding at the Four Seasons in DC October 2022 and had the most amazing experience! Katy was extremely detailed oriented when creating our day of timeline, decor list, seating chart, etc. She's also very knowledgeable on everything I needed to know from bridesmaid gift etiquette to song selections to tipping all the vendors and so much more! She stayed on top of the multiple email exchanges with vendors too. She was the best and the team was also fantastic the day of our wedding. They setup all of our decor perfectly, made sure we stayed on track with the timeline, and were hustling to make sure everything was going smoothly. I definitely recommend Alexandra Nesterak Events and Katy for wedding planner services! -

Hiring ANE was the best decision of my wedding!
I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with ANE! I worked with Katy and one assistant for month-of coordination for my wedding. I am an extremely type-A and stressed out bride, but from the moment that we retained ANE, I felt so much more at ease. Before our contract period even began, Katy was helpful in providing a few vendor recommendations. She was timely and thorough in all of her communications, and asked all of the questions that I wouldn't have thought about. I seriously did not have to tell her any detail twice—she kept everything organized and on track. She wrangled vendors who were less communicative or otherwise difficult and truly "went to bat" for me with all of my vendors and creative team. On my wedding day, Katy made it so that I actually felt like my husband, our parents, and I were the guests of honor and not stressed out hosts. Every detail, from personal decor items to timeline idiosyncracies was perfect because of Katy's attention to detail, patience, and execution. She even went so far as to curl my hair in the moments before my ceremony because it had fallen due to humidity. I truly would have paid double what I did for Katy's level of competence and her hard work in going above and beyond on my wedding day. Katy / ANE are the best and I would recommend her to everyone I know!! -

If you want a month of coordinator or full wedding planner - Alexandra is the best!
Alexandra met all our expectations and more with our wedding planning process. We were a 2020 wedding couple who had to reschedule our wedding two times. Alex helped us coordinate with all our vendors on the reschedule process every single time. We can’t thank her enough for making our rescheduled wedding perfect.
Alex is realistic, organized, and fun to be around. My bridesmaids, vendors, and family love how organized she was and still talk about how easy she was to work with! Our wedding timeline was over 30 minutes ahead of schedule, detailed, and everything went off without a hitch. We love Alex and can’t recommend her enough to anyone planning a wedding in the DC area!

Highly recommend!
Alex was an amazing month-of coordinator - truly spectacular. Alex ended up working with us on two separate days since we had a ceremony and a postponed reception due to COVID. She was extremely understanding and accommodating when we made that switch and split the total hours of her contract over two days without any addition cost. We planned our own wedding, but having Alex made everything so smooth. About 60 days before the wedding, she plugged in to help us with a walk through, where she was extremely helpful in advocating for our interests and thinking of little details we would have NEVER thought of. She then helped us draw up a decor list and day-of-timeline - both of which we would have really had no idea how to do. She was also able to provide little decor odds and ends like an easel stand and holders for our table numbers. She helped us with to-do lists, which really helped put our mind at ease that nothing was slipping through the cracks. Everything Alex did before the wedding was amazing, but the best part was on the wedding day. It seemed that she was absolutely everywhere. We did so much planning before the wedding, but were able to 100% hand over the reins to her for the big day so that we could just enjoy it. That was the biggest help because there really is so much to keep track of. She picked up the decor items that we had purchased, made sure everything was set up in the venue, coordinated with the other vendors, kept everything moving smoothly, let people know quietly when it was about time for a toast, packed up everything at the end of the night, and all the other little things in between. From our perspective, everything just flowed and we didn't think about the logistics at all. All in all, we would 1000% recommend Alex as a month-of-coordinator or event planner. Her kindness, professionalism, and supreme attention to detail really set her apart! -

the best of the DMV
I don't even know where to begin when it comes to working with Alex, and the entire ANE team. Alex was the very first vendor I spoke with after choosing our venue location, and I had no idea what it would take to plan a wedding or where to begin. Alex was knowledgeable, organized, responsive and above all - she LISTENED! So many planners/coordinators that my husband and I spoke with tried to tell us we didn't have a big enough budget or what we thought we wanted was outdated, but not Alex. Alex took all of our ideas and turned them into reality, helping us have the best wedding we ever could have imagined. If you are looking for someone who will help you bring your vision to life, someone to keep you accountable, and someone who will keep you stress free on wedding day and every day leading up to it, don't hesitate and work with Alex. Alex handled all vendor communication, décor lists, and timeline (something I would never have even known where to begin with)! Our wedding day wouldn't have been what it was without Alex, and no words or review will be able to articulate just how thankful we are to have found Alex - she's simply the BEST! -

You need ANE for your wedding!
Hiring Alex for my month of coordination was the best decision I made during my wedding planning process! She was so organized and because of her I had 0 stress leading up to the day and even on the wedding day itself. At our venue walk through she went through a timeline and decor list with me and emailed me exactly what I needed to do or buy to be best prepared for the day and she even drove to our house to pick up all of my decor a week out! On the day of I felt like she was my second maid of honor- she even helped me put my shoes on and get me into my dress. She kept all of my vendors organized and literally took care of every detail. At one point one of our vendors was calling my husband right before we were about to walk down the aisle (instead of her like she instructed them to) and she had him give her his phone/password and dealt with it herself. Her and her assistant bustled my dress in minutes while my husband fed me our Hors d’oeuvres. A guest even ripped his pants and she had it sewed up right away so he could keep dancing with us. The day after my wedding she sent me a summary of who she gave my stuff to and also sent me a few pictures she took on her phone. I can’t thank Alex and her team enough for giving my husband and I a perfect stress free day! -

You must hire Alex & her team!
Alex was the best decision we made for our wedding, investing in the full planning package. She was responsive through the entire three years we worked with her (thank you Covid), guided us through challenging pandemic wedding reschedules and constant changes outside of all of our control, and brought our vision to life. We are two busy professionals that needed to rely on Alex a lot. I could give alex a few vague ideas and she was able to design perfection. Day of, I can’t imagine what it would have been like without alex and her team. Alex was calm and professional at all times, and also so fun to work with. I would recommend her to everyone I know. This company is a gem and no email, call, crazy family ask was too much for them to handle - i just can’t recommend enough. Alex also helped us work with our budget - and helped us think through where it was worth splurging and where we could save to make it all work. She also gracefully handled family dynamics , wedding party and officiant follow up, working with all vendors and our church, which had very specific guidelines. She brought incredible venue, vendor, and design ideas. I hope this review helps you decide to book - working with alex was amazing. -

Alex is the absolute best!
Where do I even start!? Alex was our month-of coordinator for our wedding and she was AMAZING! From the beginning, she was a wealth of wedding knowledge and advice, and was always so quick to respond to any questions we had, even when we were over a year out. We decided to postpone our wedding because of Covid, and Alex gave us all the information we needed to navigate moving to our new date with a detailed postponement strategy, not to mention she was super kind and supportive throughout the process of making this very difficult decision! Leading up to our wedding, we were so at ease because we knew Alex had every detail covered – she is extremely organized, an exceptional communicator, and has incredible attention to detail. I was seriously in awe of her thorough day-of timeline and decor list that she put together and managed in the months leading up to our big day, and I can’t even imagine all of the vendor communication that she was taking care of behind the scenes. When the big day finally came, Alex brought everything together so smoothly and perfectly, it was amazing! Because of her and her team, we were able to fully enjoy every beautiful moment of our wedding day and not have to worry for even a second about planning. Alex made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right times, that my now husband and I were enjoying ourselves and were well taken care of, and that every single detail was perfectly in place. Absolutely Amazing & Best Wedding Decision Made - aside from the groom :)
Alex was amazing from start to finish! I was the type of bride that sort of knew what I wanted but wasn't into Pinterest or recreating something I saw on some other wedding website. We wanted something unique with elements that represented my husband and me & something efficient. We didn't want to sit and plan our wedding for hours each week. I should say, I spoke to a few coordinators prior to connecting with Alex, and was disappointed with the amount of designing / planning they wanted me to have done despite advertising they can bring the day all together. When I finally connected with Alex, I was so relieved - she really does it all!
During our initial consultation we walked through various elements for the day of - from start to finish. She did not miss a single detail and we did all this in under 3 hours. When we got the design proposal I was stunned by how much it reflected our conversation and how she really listened to what we had to say - all this with us coming with almost no pictures.
After the consultation, we stayed in touch, finalized the design package and it was really smooth sailing. She handled all communication with the vendors to finalize the Day of Timeline. She fielded all questions and sent them over in an efficient and succinct way. She even kept track of invoices, balances, and deadlines for payments.
It's one thing to put something on paper and another to execute and Alex hit it out of the park. When I walked into the venue, I just started crying seeing all of the elements we had been discussing and planning. She really listened and took our vision and made it a reality. It was better than anything we could have ever imagined.
I can't speak enough about her design abilities and the dream she created for us. But her and her team were also just so easy to talk to and be around. On the day of they were so organized, calm, and kept us all moving forward on time but without stressing people out - that is a gift!
I would HIGHLY recommend Alex and her team to any couple getting married. The ease and uniqueness she brings is one of a kind. -

Planner of my dreams!
We made the decision to hire Alex at the very beginning of our wedding planning process for month-of coordination and event design. From day one, Alex's communication and organization were unbelievable and she help put me at ease during this stressful time. We ended up having to postpone our original date due to COVID and Alex immediately went to work on helping us move everything to our new date and made the process beyond seamless. Alex's attention to detail is unmatched and made the last hectic month of planning as stress-free as possible. On the day of, after a week of what felt like everything was going wrong, Alex helped keep me calm and was there from start to finish to make sure everything went smoothly, and was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I truly don't know how she does it all! The day was perfect and not a single thing went wrong. Alex is amazing
Alex from start to finish was so great. The first time I talked to her on the phone I knew I needed her to plan my wedding! She made the process so easy from start to finish. Her ideas and design were impeccable and everyone couldn’t believe how beautiful the wedding was! On my wedding day I had ZERO stress. She made sure everything was perfect and I can never thank her enough! Planning a wedding during the pandemic, then having to postpone, was very challenging but Alex made it a breeze. If you are thinking about booking her DO IT!!! It is worth every penny!!!! I still don’t have my pictures to upload all the decor/details but her instagram is a great display of her talent! -

The best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Alex & her team for coordination and planning. For starters, she helped us navigate a 2020 postponement which was scary, stressful and very unknown at the time back in April of last year. After seeing how quickly she and her team jumped into action to help us postpone everything seamlessly, we knew that when we finally got to work more closely together when it was time to have the wedding, it would be nothing but amazing. And it WAS! Alex was incredibly organized, responsive, creative, helpful and had thought about every single detail ahead of time in the lead up to the wedding... so much so that a few weeks out, my husband and I felt incredibly calm, knowing everything was already figured out. From start to finish, the wedding weekend was amazing... all thanks to her help. She ensured everything ran according to plan, including coordinating so many people (family, wedding party, etc) and vendors. Any issue that arose was taken care of swiftly and thoughtfully. She was so great to work with and truly THE reason our wedding weekend was as amazing as it was. Couldn't recommend her MORE... best decision we made. -

A Dream Come True
Hiring Alex was hands down the best decision we made. She’s an experienced planner with an excellent eye for design. From the very beginning, she listened carefully to our vision and always respected our budget. She gave us sound advice on where to splurge and where to save, which looking back was absolutely invaluable. And talk about grace under pressure, she was incredibly gracious with all the challenges and curveballs that the COVID pandemic threw our way. She helped us seamlessly navigate three date changes, a venue change, and state change like a pro. Our venue change left us 90 days to plan a nearly entirely new wedding, but with Alex by my side every step of the way it was honestly a breeze. On the wedding day, seeing everything finally come together was truly breathtaking and brought tears to my eyes. Our wedding was truly perfection thanks to Alex. I already miss working with her and its only been a few weeks since we were married!

Absolutely Amazing
I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Alex and her team - I can't imagine planning or executing my wedding without them. Alex and her team are professional, extremely responsive, creative, and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me, my husband and family plan and execute the perfect wedding. I'd highly recommend anyone hire Alex and her team - if you can afford the full wedding planning service, I wish I had done this from the beginning. We did the month-of coordination and this was such a game-changer so that we could really enjoy our last month knowing that Alex and her team had everything organized for us. The day-of coordination was amazing - it enabled my family and me to truly enjoy every second and not worry about timing, problems, etc. We also were able to hire Alex and team as our florist and they did an amazing job. The best planning team!

Alex came highly recommended from a friend of ours that is also in the wedding industry. Alex and her team had been helping us plan what would have been a big celebration for October 202. Like many other couples, we had to pivot to "plan B". We feel beyond lucky to have had Alex. She helped make plan B, feel like plan A. She went above and beyond to make sure our small ceremony with immediate family felt intimate and had the perfect wedding vibe even though it was in the middle of a Georgetown Park. Alex was incredibly reliable and responsive throughout the entire wedding process. With any wedding, there are a hundred moving pieces to keep track of, and with COVID complications on top of that, she definitely had her hands full. However not a single detail fell through the cracks, and my wedding was nothing less than perfect! She alleviated so much stress from us, as a couple, and I felt 100% confident in her as the wedding date got closer. All of my other vendors also mentioned to me on separate occasions how easy she was to work with and how organized her planning was. You cannot go wrong in having her play a role in your big day! -

Alex is one of a kind!
Where do I begin..Alex was there every single step of the way. She made my dreams become reality in every way possible and more. She is understanding, empathetic and she truly listens to what you want. She has fabulous ideas, ones you thought of but didn't think they would work, she made them come to life. I looked forward to Alex's email telling me what I had left to do, she kept my husband and I on track and it wasn't for her, I don't think I would have gotten half the things done. Alex also works with the best of the best vendors. There are so many options out there and having her to help narrow is down really was a game changer. She also helped with all negotiations of vendor packages, pricing and accommodations. It was so helpful because I had no idea what to look for. Our wedding could not have been more perfect and that is all because of Alex and her team. When I walked into the ballroom, I was on AWE of how amazingly beautiful it was. Alex is the best!!
Alex is absolutely amazing and is the reason our wedding planning experience was so wonderful. From the very beginning of the planning process to the day of our wedding, Alex was there every step of the way to make sure our day was an absolute dream. Her fun and creative work style made the process of wedding planning stress free, and enjoyable.
Alex is extremely organized and devoted to her couples. Every month she gave us a to-do list which helped to break down the tasks and kept us on track. The monthly to-do lists were so helpful, and kept us from feeling overwhelmed. Alex is also quick at responding, so anytime we had a question or concern she got right back to us. She made herself available to make me feel like my wedding was her top priority when she had several other weddings being planned at the same time.

I don't even know where to start - working with Alex was absolutely one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. Alex designed our wedding and also did our month-of coordination. I already miss her!
When it came to hiring a planner, my husband and I were unsure if we needed one. I'm a detail-oriented, organized person and always assumed I'd be able to tackle wedding planning on my own. BOY WAS I WRONG. Alex is so incredibly knowledgeable, and we truly could not have done this without her.
To start, she answered and handled questions I had about vendors. Budget was something that was really important to me and my family, Alex helped us navigate unnecessary costs and choose vendors that fit our budget. Next, she got to know us so that our design reflected us as a couple. She incorporated the most fun, personalized details into our wedding that our guests loved. Finally, she made our wedding day the most relaxed day ever. I cannot imagine how stressful the day would've been without her. Her detailed timeline kept everything on schedule so that we could truly enjoy every moment.

Alex and Her Team are Amazingggg!
Alex and her team are amazing! We reached out to Alex over a year in advance to find out more about day of coordination (aka month of) and we knew we wanted to book with her as soon as we met. Even though we were so far out from our wedding day, Alex without hesitation sat down with us to discuss what we were looking for, our vision for the day, how she could help, etc. After our initial discussion, we also ended up booking her for florals as well! Over the next year, Alex was always in touch and responsive to questions we had along the way. As we approached our wedding day, she kicked up her involvement about a month out (as expected per the service we booked). She remembered all that we had discussed over the past year and when we ended up having to make some last minute changes due to budget, she was super helpful in providing suggestions on how to reduce some costs. As the wedding day approached, Alex made sure everyone involved (us, wedding party, family, vendors, etc) was on the same page regarding timeline, and on the wedding day, she made sure everyone got to exactly where they needed to be when they needed to get there. We had quite a few non-traditional wedding requests for the day of and she and her team ensured to coordinate everything amongst us and the vendors and literally everything was executed perfectly! We ended up DIYing a bit of decor, while she took care of florals, and everything came out BEAUTIFULLY with the help of her floral design and her set up of all the signage/decor we handed off to her! We can't imagine having done this without her and her team and we're forever grateful for all the time and effort they put into making our day happen exactly as we planned! -

Alex is amazing!
Alex came highly referred to us by my colleague, who was a Best Man at
another wedding where Alex was the wedding planner. He was singing her
praises and had regrets for not hiring Alex at his wedding, so I knew she
was the real deal.
Alex was the best investment for our wedding! She was a true professional
and blew me away at every turn. One of Alex's many talents is that she
picks up on cues on what you *really* want and makes it happen. For me, it
was my wedding ceremony outside. She's like, "If that's what you want, then
we'll make it happen."
She was a huge advocate for me, as the bride, through any, and all, vendor
pushback. I felt throughout the process that her primary objective was to
make sure that I was happy, had the perfect wedding day, and everything I
envisioned came to life.
Alex was incredibly responsive to emails, even before the month-of
coordination started for my one-off questions. She was a sounding board to
me throughout and helped me brainstorm ideas for the decor that kept me on
budget.
She saved me thousands of dollars with her recommendations and advised me
on what's a good investment, and where I can skip. I really valued her
opinion, and her insights were always on point.
All of my wedding vendors were impressed with Alex, and my parents were
singing her praises since the minute they met her for our final
walkthrough. Alex is highly competent at her job.
The day of timeline that she produced ROCKED and knocked everyone's socks
off. Alex was meticulous, organized, and was my wedding angel throughout.
She came prepared for every meeting with notes and was uber thorough. The
day-of my wedding was absolutely perfect and exceeded all my expectations!
I would hire her in a nanosecond as she was a true pleasure to work with

Best DC Area Planner
Alex is incredible. We ruthlessly interviewed planners and even from that stage ANE stood out from the rest. It didn't hurt that her rates were also incredibly reasonable compared to other vendors. Alex always responded quickly to any request and provided great guidance throughout the process. She is rare find as a talented creative artist who is also impeccably organized. We felt like she truly understood our vision for the day and how to make it a reality. It is not easy for me to let go of control of my projects, however when it came time to fully hand off the reins, it was so easy knowing ANE would execute flawlessly. And execute flawlessly they did. Alex and her team all have calming personalities which helped everyone in the bridal party keep anxiety levels low as we got ready. ANE handled everything so well that from our perspective the day ran smoothly with no snags. When we arrived at the cocktail reception, Alex snug us back to show the dining room set up and it was absolute magic. Hiring Alex is the best wedding planning decision you can make!
We used Alex for month-of coordination and event design, and hiring her was the single best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process.
Alex is creative, professional, responsive and such a calming presence! As a self-professed control freak I was worried that it would be difficult for me to hand over control to so many aspects of the wedding to someone else, but Alex made it so easy. I trusted her implicitly, and respected her opinions, ideas and suggestions. Alex has amazing taste, is incredibly respectful and mindful of your budget, listens to exactly what you want-and when you don't know what you want she will help you figure it out (and it will end up being 1,000 times better than you could have ever imagined).
We worried about absolutely nothing leading up to the wedding, in terms of day-of, design or vendor management because Alex so evidently had everything under control. She helped us design a wedding more beautiful than we ever could have dreamed of and is solely responsible for the day going off without hitch, and when my bustle broke from all of the dancing Alex fixed it in about 2 seconds!
It's been a bit over a month since our wedding and our friends and family members are still telling us how great Alex and her team were, and we couldn't agree more. I cannot recommend Alex enough!

Alexandra and her team are truly a dream to work with. From beginning to end, Alexandra was incredibly efficient and responsive. We hired her for month-of wedding coordination and added on a la carte design assistance. Alexandra worked with us to both get to know us, as well as understand the vision we had for our wedding. She was never pushy about budget or her opinion (which we found other coordinators in this market to be), but offered great design suggestions, creative ways to make things work while saving money, and recommendations for tried and true vendors. Alexandra and her team worked with us on several iterations of our design proposal, each time paying close attention to detail to carefully incorporate our feedback. The value ANE provides is unmatched for the price in the DMV area, so you would be dumb not to hire her for that reason alone. Beyond value, working with Alexandra felt like working with a friend - a friend that is really, really awesome at running weddings. All of our guests were raving about how well planned our wedding was and how smoothly everything went. Several have even inquired about working with Alexandra for their own weddings. I hired Alex for her full service package as my wedding planner and it was the best money we spent by far! She made a beautiful design plan that brought my vision to life and worked with me to make sure every detail was perfect. She was always available to answer my questions and in a timely manner. Having Alex help recommend other wedding vendors was also a huge help. There are so many choices out there and being able to narrow down the pool makes it infinitely easier to select them. The most valuable help she gave me was negotiating with vendors, handling vendor coordination, and creating a timeline. I have been a professional event planner in the past and still found I was in way over my head when it came to dealing with wedding vendors and creating a timeline. I am a very detail oriented person and Alex accommodated all of my crazy requests and if it wasn't possible, she took the time to explain why and figure out an alternative I was happy with. I cannot say enough good things about ANE. Alex was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. She did everything we asked of her, and more. One thing I really appreciate about Alex is that she is incredibly responsive - whether it be via text or email, she was always so on top of everything. Alex was especially amazing on our wedding day. After the ceremony was set up outside, clouds started to roll in and she eventually made the call to move the ceremony inside (which was the right call as the skies opened up about ten minutes prior to our ceremony start). She got everything moved inside quickly and flawlessly - I actually think it was better indoors. I also have since found out that our catering manager was a bit of a nightmare, but I had no idea the day of because Alex dealt with everything and I was left to just enjoy the day. Also, we did things a bit differently and did not have a rehearsal dinner but rather had a brewery tour the next day - Alex was totally wiling to plan the whole thing in lieu of the rehearsal. I would highly, highly recommend ANE to help with your wedding planning. It will probably be the best decision you make throughout your entire process. -

Alex and her team were the backbone to what made our day so special! 45 minutes before the ceremony was set to start our outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside - Alex and her team were able to coordinate all of the vendors to quickly relocate, WHILE staying on schedule! Our venue had several rules that were strictly enforced, but Alex handled them all gracefully while ensuring that my husband and I were able to enjoy our day without worrying about any of the planned or unexpected aspects of the day. She was truly a pleasure to work with, and made our day everything we had hoped for! -

We hired Alex to be our month-of-coordinator. She was phenomenal and a pleasure to work with. While my daughter and I are very organized, we wanted someone to be there to handle the last minute details and day-of logistics so we could relax and enjoy the day. Alex did not disappoint. From the first meeting we had with Alex, I could tell that Alex’s attention to detail, knowledge of the wedding process, responsiveness, professionalism and easy-going demeanor were going to be great assets.
Alex took control of coordinating the vendors so we didn’t have to worry about logistics on the wedding day. She put together a detailed “day of timeline” which helped everyone understand what to expect on the wedding day. She coordinated the rehearsal and had everything set up at the venue hours before the wedding.
I can honestly say that hiring Alex was one of the best decisions that we made!!

We hired Alex as our florist and month-of coordinator. I can truly say it was the BEST decision we could have made in our wedding planning process. Our flowers and decor were absolutely breathtaking, and I was able to hand off every single detail to Alex and her team with complete confidence that it would be handled. I struggled to find my vision for our big day, and Alex took all of my jumbled thoughts and wove them into the ceremony and reception of my dreams. Alex is incredibly talented, professional, patient, responsive, respectful of budget, offers amazing advice and handles every challenge that arises with ease and confidence. Alex went so far above and beyond to ensure that we could breathe easy and ENJOY our wedding day. We hired Alex pretty early on in our planning process, knowing we liked to plan ourselves but foreseeing that we would likely need some help. We hired her for our design planning and month of coordination. We're pretty organized people and enjoy planning, but looking back I can't imagine not having Alex during the past year. She made us feel at ease with all of the planning decisions and really understood our vision. After all of the vision boards we put together to create our look, I clearly remember the feeling of awe when we stepped into our reception. All of our hopes and dreams came to life and it was so much more perfect than I ever could have imagined! We received so many compliments about how beautiful our wedding was and Alex really made everything happen from start to end. I always trusted Alex's opinion when I needed help deciding between vendors or small detail choices. It's helpful to have someone there with you throughout the process with experience who you can put your full trust in. Alex is confident about what she does and it clearly shows. There are so many little things that don't cross your mind and I was glad to have Alex who made sure no detail was left behind.
Alex handled all of the communication with our vendors before our wedding which let us relax and enjoy the days leading up. From the monthly excel spreadsheet and check ins, she was always there for us to answer any question and make sure we had everything we needed. The day of timeline she created was great to help us stay on track during our busy day to make sure we didn't miss a thing!
If you have any hesitation, I can honestly say hiring Alex was the best decision we made during our planning process. She is confident, organized, and thoughtful. She makes an effort to understand your vision and will go to any length to make sure it is exactly what you dreamed of. Our wedding would not have been the same without her! She is one of a kind. -

Hiring Alex was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. We used Alex as our month of coordinator, but she was a thought partner and key part of our wedding planning throughout the whole process. Alex went above and beyond to help our wedding month and day run smoothly. From the email correspondence, meeting in person, walk through, and phone calls, Alex was quick with communication and and always had an answer! She helped us navigate the wedding planning process with ease, helping us with little details I never would have thought of on my own. The day of was stress free thanks to Alex and her team. From the moment she picked up all of our items the week of the wedding, I knew that my wedding day was in the best hands.
We also decided to hire Alex as our florist. My bouquet and reception florals were the most perfect display! Alex took my vision and made it come to life.

Where do I begin!! Bottom line: Alex is fantastic at what she does and she made our lives so easy. We hired Alex as a month-of coordinator and she responded to e-mails timely, offered advice and opinions at critical junctures (but never overstepped), allowed us to borrow decorations from her inventory (saving us $$), and managed the relationship with vendors in the weeks leading up to our wedding. Alex was an absolutely amazing wedding planner. As a wedding planner myself, I knew I needed to have a coordinator I could trust and there was no doubt in my mind that it would be Alex. She is a friend of my husband's from college and she was a natural fit for our wedding day. We have very similar tastes and I knew that I could count on her to make any last minute decisions for me. On top of that she always answered emails so quickly. Alex came to my house the week of my wedding and picked up everything, It felt like I had nothing to worry about after that. From the very beginning Alexandra has been the most professional, responsive, and organized person I have ever worked with. We hired Alex to be both our florist and our month of coordinator, and we couldn't have been happier! She took into account our vision, our venue, our personalities, and our budget(!) into everything that she and her team created for us.
We had a great discussion about everything and she provided a wonderfully extensive floral proposal with tons of images to illustrate the flowers that would be used and the direction of styling and line item costs clearly explained. Everything on the proposal looked exactly as I had envisioned and then somehow, came out even better in person! Leading up to our wedding, Alex took a look through our proposed rental list and was able to incorporate pieces she already had in her inventory (e.g. easel, table cloth, some styling pieces), as well as point out where we could reuse pieces, to help save us some cost, which was greatly appreciated.
Alex and her team were an absolute blessing as far as coordination. She reached out to our vendors and coordinated with the various entities to make sure everything ran smoothly. Leading up, she was incredibly responsive when I would randomly email her with a question. When we were concerned that we would get rained out, she was able to run us through our rehearsal and our rain plan rehearsal, without a hitch. No matter what came up (like a button on my dress breaking while getting dressed!), she was able to come to the rescue. She and her team made everything go so smoothly, that despite a storm throwing a small hitch in things, we weren't concerned with anything and were able to sit back and enjoy our whirlwind of a wedding!
We're definitely not planning on having another wedding, but if we had any other event, we certainly wouldn't hesitate to contact Alex again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! -

We were so glad to have Alex’s guiding hand managing the details during the many months leading up to and the day of my son’s wedding. I was so impressed with her attention to detail, her prompt responses to questions, her advice selecting the vendors and in communicating with them, her guidance at the menu tasting, her cordial and productive working relationship with the wedding coordinator at our venue, her ability to get things done efficiently and on schedule, and her unflappable reaction when presented with a groomsman with two left shoes shortly before the ceremony. She solved that last minute crisis with time to spare!
All in all, my son, his wife, my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves and celebrate the wedding day knowing that all of the behind-the-scenes tasks were attended to and performed expertly and with great aplomb by Alex and her assistants. To us, everything ran like clockwork, and if there were any glitches, we certainly didn't know about them.
Alex truly helped to make our wedding weekend most memorable and we recommend her services to others without reservation.

Alexandra was absolutely wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her for any new brides to be. She was very prompt with her responses via email, professional, kind to work with, and patient with my indecisiveness. Initially, we played around with different centerpieces, until finally deciding on the ones I liked. When walking into the ballroom of my wedding, I felt like I was in a fairy tail. The decor was more than I could ever ask for and much more beautiful than I could have ever pictured it.

The flowers for my wedding were absolutely beautiful and Alex was absolutely wonderful to work with. I really can't say enough great things about her.

Alexandra and her team were the best part of the wedding planning experience because I didn't have to worry about a thing! She came prepared and on-time to all of our meetings, answered emails and phone calls in a prompt manner, and addressed any and all concerns I had. We were thrown a curve ball just a week before my wedding -- my now-husband's parents were not able to attend. Alex was able to brainstorm ideas (Skyping the ceremony and important reception events to his parents) and come up with a plan to make them feel included and present. We also saw the weather would be colder than anticipated and just 4 days before, Alex was able to get some heaters for the outside part of the ceremony. She even has an inventory that a client can utilize which comes in handy for someone who doesn't want to buy all the decor. The personal touches Alex and her team do to make my vision and perfect day come to life are uncompared. I cannot recommend Alexandra Nesterak Events highly enough for anyone who needs day-of services, month before services, partial services, or full services. She was extremely professional, understanding, supportive, and absolutely worth her fees and then some! We were initially on the fence about hiring a month of coordinator, and I'm so glad we did! Alexandra Nesterak Events was one of our favorite vendors to work with! Alex and her team are incredible - we used Alex's month of coordination package and could not be happier with Alex's professionalism, eye for design, patience, and efficiency! Where to start? I just had my wedding last week and I would have never survived without Alex!
We first met to get to know each other and she was so nice and excited for us! Through out the months working together she was always 100% on top of her game, two steps ahead and dealt with issues before I even knew there were issues! She coordinated with all my vendors and made sure everyone was doing their job!
The day of she came early, coffees for everyone, umbrellas just in case it would rain (we were still unsure at that point) she helped everyone including the guys and was everywhere I needed her to be! During the reception she was there the whole time helping out, making sure we were following our detailed timeline she had made for all vendors and finally made sure we all left happy! The next day she brought us all the decoration and gifts we had received!
And speaking of decoration, she has an endless stock of amazing decoration that brides can use and saved us a lot of time and money! And her website is really inspiring and helpful!!
So all I can say is go with Alex as your wedding coordinator! She is amazing, you can trust her for anything and will truly make everything special!!

Alexandra was easy to work with and good about revising her designs to help rein in the budget. She found creative solutions to my more challenging requests, and her team was able to quickly move flowers from ceremony to reception without anyone noticing that the chapel was totally stripped while we greeted guests outside! Failed to perform on our wedding day
We hired Alexandra Nesterak Events 10 months prior to our wedding for the 'partial planner' package, which included design suggestions, guidance planning and all month-of coordination services, the last being my number one reason for bringing her team on board - to ensure our wedding day went smoothly.
Alex was up front about the fact that she was already booked for our wedding date, but said we would be in the best hands with another team member who would execute flawlessly the day of. Everything was great back and forth with Alex / said team member for the months leading up to it, that we even decided to hire ANE as our floral designer. Things started to go downhill about a month out when her second-in-command, who was involved in the planning process completely, took the lead.
Day of timeline was difficult to nail down, even after several emails and a phone call to discuss step by step. We should've raised the red flag there but at this point, we were only 2 weeks out and I was confident that Alex’s entrusted team would deliver. When expressing concern week of the wedding, Alex assured us that we'd have her "A team" on site.
Unfortunately Alex’s "A team" turned out to be the only let down of our day. Alex’s second-in-command + team did not communicate with me / my husband, our families, guests or wedding party and were nowhere to be found throughout the day, the only reason we were able to stick to a schedule was thanks to our wonderful photographers.
Several mishaps included wedding party flowers distributed incorrectly or not at all, bubbles for our ceremony exit forgotten, as well as name cards placed on the wrong tables and table names omitted altogether.
In conclusion, we highly suggest taking caution if you will be working with other members of Alex's team. -

Be careful with anyone other than Alex
We hired Alex and Team for our wedding and things were great back and forth for many months. As the wedding got closer, we worked with another member of her team who was going to be the day of coordinator. Her and Alex worked together well, but we could really see the difference.
Many of the final details took a long time to get right and we should have raised the red flag there. When the wedding came, the seating cards were incorrect and not what was agreed to. They also failed to double check we had all the tables set out for the reception, we were one short which caused a decent size disruption.
The name cards Alex's team printed also spelled the grooms name wrong, the team didn't leave out the guest book and even more. You count on companies like these to really nail the details and it did not work out for us. We suggest couples take caution if they work with other members of Alex's team. -
