  Alexander's made my daughter's wedding perfect! The food was fabulous, flowers were absolutely gorgeous and decorations were breathtaking. Impeccable Customer Service and a team that knows what they're doing from beginning to end!

  Alexander's The Great Events catered my daughter's wedding. They also provided flowers for the bridal party and decorated the walls of our church fellowship hall with curtains. They transformed the place to look like an enchanted wonderland. The food was amazing!!! We met Mike and Mason at a Bridal Show in Birmingham and fell in love with them. They were very attentive throughout the entire process of helping us decide what we needed. They visited our venue prior to the day of the wedding to make sure that they came prepared on the day of the event. It has been two weeks now since the wedding and my telephone and email box have been flooded with calls from friends and family commenting on how great the food was. The staff is professional, friendly and hard working. They helped to make our day very special. Thanks to everyone at Alexander's.

  I would recommend Alexanders to anyone planning a wedding! The food was great, the presentation was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone raved!!!

  Best Part of Our Wedding!
  We had a fantastic experience with Alexander's. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and they treated us like we were the only wedding that they were working for. The food was the one thing that everyone who attended commented on first! They loved it, and my husband and I highly recommend them!

  I definitely recommend Alexander's The Great Events to EVERYONE!!! Mike Alexander and his team provided impeccable service for my wedding and reception. They exceeded my expectations and I knew I was in great hands. They are very easy to work with and met all of my needs which is very important for any bride or event planner. They made me feel like I was a princess and went the extra mile to make sure my wedding day was perfect!!! They provided very nice, custom drapery, linens, tables, uplighting and exquisite food at a very competitive price. They were very honest and reliable. I had rave reviews from every guest and I will definitely use them again for any event I have in the future. They are simply amazing and provide anything you'll need for any event.   Alexander's did both our bouquets and catering for the wedding and rehearsal. The flowers looked great, however they couldn't bring our bouquets at noon when we needed them the day of the wedding, so they gave us the choice of sending someone 30 minutes out of the way the morning of the wedding or bringing the flowers the night of the rehearsal dinner. We chose the latter. The flowers still looked good the day of (a few were wilting), but it would have been nice for them to bring them the day of like most companies would. Can't complain about the taste of the food either. However, getting in contact with them was IMPOSSIBLE. My mother-in-law and I both would contact them multiple times and they either wouldn't answer or tells us that they would get back to us and then never would. There is also a 30 day no change policy on the amount of guests you can add/take away for food. This is stated on your contract, but they will not remind you! I needed to give a final count (which had decreased) about 45 days from the wedding. I contacted them and they said they would get back to me. Well, they never did then 2 days after the 30 day mark was told that it couldn't be changed. So we ended up with a ton of leftovers. They also quoted us at our meeting $650 to string cafe lights over our ceremony space and then later told us it was going to cost $1,500. It was just a mess. In the end, the food was good and the flowers were pretty, but the in between communication was horrible.

  paid for food for 300 guest, had 220 guest show up and ran out of food. lynn who was in charge ? said they didnt expect people to eat this much?? it was a 6:00 pm werdding obviously the under prepared enough food. mike the owner offered no apology or remorse that we ran out of food and placed blame back on the customer. definitely would not recommend his service.

  Do NOT use this catering company. Much better choices in Alabama. The owner is completely unprofessional and the way we were treated as paying customers was a complete joke. Servers were rude to guests telling them to slow down on the food that we paid for. Honestly appalled that a catering company that should specialize in service was as unprofessional and rude to the degree that they were. Stay away.

  Terrible experience and attitude

  My daughter and I attended a bridal show where they were displaying with sampling of some food. When we talked to the owner (Mike) he pushed things on us we did not want like lemon tarts. We were politely declining but he kept pushing aux items that pushed the price to an insane amount. We felt belittled in him telling us what we needed instead of listening to what we wanted. I felt like it was a timeshare presentation that was pushy!!!
  The whole thing about buying a certain amount and getting a certain amount free is true but after they push up all the things they want to sell you and the other add ons its honestly smoke and mirrors.
  I talked to another mother of a bride we met and they quoted $1200 for one arrangement of floral that the mom said other florists were doing for about $500.

  If I could give this place a zero, I would. This was the only bad part of my wedding. The decorations on my tables was just a twig in a vase. The food was absolutely disgusting and everyone was starving because they didn't dish out enough food. $7000 and 250 people you would think you would get better than powdered mashed potatoes. Then, to top it off, the owner who was no where to be found until after it was all over suddenly appears and tells my parents I told him I was happy with everything. I still to this day have never even spoken to him. They are liars and crooks.

  If you want a smooth wedding planning process with a vendor you can trust then keep looking.

  I don't normally write reviews but I feel like this company did us very wrong and I've recently found out we aren't the only ones it has happened to. It was bad enough being a bride during 2020 with all of the unknowns and changes that we went through. We ended up having to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. We didn't have an enjoyable experience. It would have helped if our vendor that we trusted with our catering, flowers and decorating would have been helpful. Communication is horrible with this company. Trying to get in with them for a meeting was almost impossible. When we finally got a meeting to go over final details they ended up rescheduling our appointment to the week before our wedding knowing there were a few changes we needed to make due to our new wedding date... He promised to honor our prices from our original contract and that definitely didn't happen. He literally hit us with a total almost double what we had originally discussed. Then gave me the option to pay the extra thousands of dollars or remove things from the list. So I had to go through one by one and remove details from our wedding THE WEEK BEFORE that we had already discussed with him. He misplaced all the pictures I sent him for our wedding and also our original invoice (convenient right) and we had to start all over that night. At this point it was the week before our wedding and no time to change vendors or we would have gone running. Our flowers looked nothing like the pictures I gave him but thankfully our amazing wedding venue was able to fix them and they were wonderful. And to top off the night they were aware the wedding wasn't over until 11:00 pm but they started picking up chairs before 10:30 while some of our guests were still seated!! Our wedding venue had to step in and asked them why they were cleaning up when the wedding wasn't over. These are just a few things we dealt with so just save yourself the headache.

  The worst experience of our lives.....at the booking appointment, he promised glass plates and glasses, with silverware and chargers. It started there and went down hill. We had plastic plates from Sams, no chargers, plastic cups and the number of plates we paid for were not put out. Mike stood at the tables and told our guests they could not get seconds, the week before the wedding he called to add fees that we had not agreed on. He treatened to not show up to the wedding at the rehearsal dinner because we ask him to move a table, cursed at us with very vulgar language ( he'd talked all along about singing in his church choir )....I could go on and on and on, it was awful, this business is nothing but a joke. Literally one of the worst experiences of my life. They talk a big talk but are nothing like what they say, they are very good conn artists. If you have booked them run.... we were warned at the beginning that they sound like a "bait and switch" company, and that is exactly what they are!!!!!!!!

  Ordered enough food for my guest but what they brought was a joke. They NEVER refill anything and staff was not nice to younger guest. They fool you will their marketing and the food is cheap.. big bowls of tasteless pasta, a few shrimp skewers enough for 1/4 of your guest and never refill.
