Alex was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer and more. He made both of us feel so comfortable in front of the camera which is something that doesn’t come naturally to either of us! His presence was warm and completely unobtrusive, yet he managed to capture every emotion, every moment, and all the love we felt that day so beautifully. He fit in so seamlessly with our families and friends that it felt like he was part of the celebration, not just documenting it. We’re so grateful!
Alex's assistant was just as amazing. She had such a calming, positive energy and made me feel so taken care of throughout the day. She made such a difference in how relaxed and confident I felt. -

Alex Paul is a MUST HIRE. From the moment we hired him he was awesome to work with. He captured the wedding of our dreams, making everything look straight out of a magazine. In the moment, Alex is extremely efficient capturing as many moments as possible, while sprinkling in humor and complements to make everyone comfortable and smiling. What an incredible experience it was working with Alex! He truly is so talented and I had so much fun getting to know him during this process. He is very professional, has an amazing eye for what is going to look good, and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera! I trusted him completely throughout this entire process because he knows what is going to look best and he delivered.
Our wedding day ran so smoothly and a lot of that was thanks to him. He is energetic, yet a calming presence, which kept my nerves at ease, while staying on schedule. His secondary photographer, Margo was so helpful throughout the entire day! She helped carry my dress/bouquet for our first look on the beach during a very windy day.
She also grabbed my phone for me and took a few photos of the reception space setup on my phone before any guests arrived and captured an aerial view of our ceremony, including some shots and videos on my phone without even being asked. So incredibly thoughtful!
Our family and bridal party loved working with Alex as well. He made the picture taking process quick and easy on a very windy/chilly day. Our photos turned out absolutely stunning! His photography style is glamorous, elegant, and timeless. We will forever cherish these photos and have had such a fun time sharing them with friends and family.
He delivered our photos quickly to us and it was so fun to relive the memories of our wedding day while my husband and I were on our honeymoon. I couldn't recommend working with Alex enough! He was the very first vendor I knew I wanted to hire and I was so happy to hear when he had our wedding date available. We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!!! -

Alex is the BEST! We had an engagement photoshoot with him in Boston & he photographed our wedding on Cape Cod. We were drawn to his timeless photography style. We got married at The Wang Theatre in Boston, and we knew we wanted a photographer who could capture the beauty of the building we had chosen to get married in. Alex did not disappoint!!! We were so thrilled with our photos. Alex's artistic vision is brilliant and everyone we know has been raving about our photos.
Alex made the planning process easy. All phone calls with him were easy to schedule and he even hopped on a call late in the evening to accommodate our busy schedules. He used an easy to edit Google Doc Sheet to keep up with our wedding details and was always prepared whenever we spoke to him.
On the day of the wedding, Alex and his second shooter, Violet, arrived early and were on time. They were super professional and had a happy energy, adding to the excitement of the day. We chose not to do a first look, which made the photo timeline tight. But, Alex navigated that challenge with grace and we whipped through the family portraits with time to spare, allowing a little extra time for our couple portraits- just like we had asked.
Alex is a pro. Do yourself a favor and hire him as your wedding photographer!!! :)

Alex Paul is hands down BEST photographer, ever! My husband and I got married this August on Cape and we hired Alex Paul for our Engagement photos (Boston), Rehearsal dinner, + Wedding day photos (Cape Cod). I can’t say enough about how talented and professional Alex Paul is. He has such a fun, unique, candid approach that we LOVED. Not only is he an incredible photographer, but he is excellent at giving directions for pictures and is fast + efficient. Us and our entire bridal party was obsessed with both Alex and his second shooter, Kadri because they both made everyone feel at ease. Alex was able to fit right in with everyone and make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. There have been so much incredible feedback on interactions as well as the unbelievable quality of photos. My husband and I received our photos for each event (engagement, wedding, etc) SO quickly and we were impressed with his digital platform, it made it easy to download, post, and save the photos. He even gives the access to print though the portal as well! The pictures perfectly captured our special day and were EXACTLY what we were looking for. His unique eye for capturing beautiful pictures of not just the couple, but also the guest and overall details of the day is truly top notch. If you are starting the search for a wedding photographer for your big day look no further, Alex Paul is your guy! We could not be happier with choosing Alex Paul as our photographer for our wedding. Not only did he go above and beyond to get some amazing shots, he had us, our wedding parties and our families laughing the whole time which made taking pictures a fun, comfortable experience. Working with Alex Paul was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He was communicative leading up to the day and ensured he understood the shots we wanted to prioritize. The entire bridal party and families mentioned how fun he was to work with, and we appreciated his ability to take control and give direction when needed. The entire day felt easy and seamless, and allowed my husband and I to focus on enjoying each moment. We received sneak peeks the next day and our gallery in just a few weeks - we were blown away by the gallery we received from Alex! STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND BOOK ALEX NOW!
Seriously! He is the best photographer to work with and makes the process so much fun. He involved everyone at the wedding but somehow made us feel like he wasn’t even there. The photographs of our wedding are something we will cherish forever and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Having a wedding in a pandemic was difficult enough, but we ended up with a surprise lightning storm too. Not to worry, Alex had a million ideas and we ended up feeling lucky that we had a downpour on our wedding day because we got such incredible pictures. He is able to capture the emotion and “feel” of the event, when you look at our pictures it feels like you are back at our wedding. After our wedding we had multiple friends book Alex for family photo sessions they were so impressed.

Alex did an amazing job photographing us for our intimate elopement. We are not a couple that likes to have our pictures taken, but we found working with Alex to be very relaxing, fun, and enjoyable. Alex had great suggestions for locations in Provincetown to photograph and the absolute perfect location for our vow exchange. The pictures so far have turned out just incredible, better than we imagined. We highly recommend working with Alex! -

Alex is the BEST photographer to work with, hands down! He is so cool and fun to be around. My entire wedding party and guests all thought he was great. His work is absolutely stunning. I was completely blown away with how gorgeous my wedding photos turned out. My wedding was an outdoor wedding at Wequassett resort. He did a phenomenal job of capturing so many wonderful memories from the evening. He did an outstanding job and I cannot recommend him enough! His is fantastic and I will cherish these photos forever!

You only need to look at Alex's portfolio to know that he is an incredibly talented artist. What may not be apparent from his (also beautiful) website is that is is a dream to work with.
From day 1, Alex was so easy to communicate with, asking all the right questions and sharing creative, fun ideas for locations near our venue that would be good options for additional portraits (and he was so right-- the locations he identified were fabulous and had some of the best shots of the day). He was very proactive and detail oriented, which helped to build out a clear plan and make the day move smoothly (which any bride and groom will tell you is crucial!).
Alex also was excellent at managing all the logistics and timing for family portraits and pre-ceremony photos. He got amazing quality pictures in such a short amount of time that we were able to stay right on schedule throughout.
And, of course, everyone on both sides of the family is beyond thrilled with the photos of the day. It's been difficult to pick which ones we want to include in our album-- so many fabulous shots to choose from! We are thrilled to have worked with Alex and hope to have opportunities to work with him again for other special family photo shoots in the future.

My husband and I located Alex on the Knot in the early months of our wedding planning. We interviewed both Alex and one other photographer and were absolutely overjoyed at Alex’s portfolio, demeanor, professionalism and expertise. His world travels and accompanying photography spoke volumes up front, and were equally as impressive in practice. We cannot say enough amazing complements as to our engagement and wedding photos alike! Alex completely captured the essence of my husband (our puppy) and myself in every picture he took and captured some amazing candids from our wedding day. Alex was also very easy to work with in terms of direction and photographic insight. Having never taken professional photos together, Alex easily instructed us into each shot. The cost for his work is also very on point and we loved that he had a second photographer as well for the wedding date. If you’re looking for an amazing experience for the Cape or Boston area, you should absolutely consider Alex Paul Photography. It was one of our best decisions for the engagement/wedding memories! -

Yes, Alex is the kind of person that can "WOW" you on all levels. He's professional, accommodating, and provides amazing products with great service!
Alex has the talent to capture expressions and moments that only last seconds, he goes unnoticed while doing his work and he's able to capture everything! He's able to do amazing things with architecture, lighting, framing the shots and motion capture. We love the pictures as they were taken through our eyes! Alex was also a pleasure to work with. He guided us with simple instructions and tips to get the best photos. He makes everybody comfortable and the photos are just more natural than posing photos.
Alex is simply incredible! If you are looking for a professional photographer with this artistic style of documenting events, I strongly recommend Alex! -

Nick Sent on 11/23/2017We hired Alex to come along with us to Iceland to help capture our day. When we first found Alex online we reached out to him and explained our plan. He was genuinely excited to go to Iceland again and immediately started to help develop a plan for the day.
We had never been to Iceland, so Alex's experiences and expertise were very welcome. He planned the perfect day; the natural waterfalls, a trip to Black Sand Beach, Troll Houses, and finishing off our elopement on Dyrholaey. We couldn't have been happier with the day as we were blessed with good weather.
Alex was very comfortable to work with. He was informative, attentive, talkative, and easygoing. Alex has a keen eye for details and is quick to find the shot that he wants.
Speaking of the shots, since this review is for a photographer we must also talk about the pictures. Alex's style helps encompass the surroundings, a trait that we were looking for. Why take pictures in Iceland if you aren't able to catch the natural beauty?
The pictures were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. We are very happy with the way they turned out. Alex was able to capture us and our surroundings in a beautiful manner.
We enjoyed the day, we are very happy with the results, and we would wholeheartedly and undoubtedly recommend Alex as a wedding photographer. -

Alex did an amazing job covering photography for our wedding, and without hesitation, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a talented, professional, even-keeled photographer to cover shooting your event. His pricing structure is transparent and fair, and the value of results is priceless.
When we first met Alex, the expert portfolio he brought spoke for itself. However, we were instant fans of his personality - his calm and even demeanor were particularly reassuring to me. Alex was incredibly patient and professional, even though on wedding day, the bridesmaids and I arrived a bit later than anticipated. He managed to corral myself (a stressed bride), my friends and family members to get all the right shots, and somehow managed to put us at ease to deliver the most gorgeous, rich, detailed, soft, flattering images that I've ever seen. My family and friends will not stop talking about our photos. My fiance and I just recently had our engagement session done by Alex.. And we are more then happy and amazed with his work. I knew from the moment that I booked him we were going to have an amazing outcome..But once we got our photos back they were even more then Amazing!!! He was such a pleasure to work with and very professional . Alex made my fiance very comfortable with taking photos, which my fiance never really likes doing. We are well beyond thankful and there are really truly no words to describe how incredible our photos and experience was... I hope to work with with him again in the future.. and would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone... you will get simply the best.!!!!! and if I could put more then 5 stars .. I would.. :)
