Lee is the beeesst!!!
The best decision we made for our wedding — hands down — was choosing Lee at Alchemist Weddings.
From the very first consultation call, which turned into a warm hour long chat that felt more like catching up with an old friend than a business meeting, we knew Lee was someone special. His passion, creativity, and genuine kindness shines through from the start.
Our engagement shoot was absolutely magical. People still talk about those photos …a year later! We’ve received countless compliments, and it’s no exaggeration to say we ended up with some of the best photos in the wedding industry. Lee has an incredible ability to capture not just moments, but the emotions. The joy, the love, the laughter, all frozen in time with such artistryu.
Now that we’ve gotten a sneak peek of our wedding photos, we’re even more blown away. If the previews are this stunning, we can only imagine what the full album will be like — and we cannot wait to see it.

Beautiful Photography!
We could not be happier with our experience working with Lee! His photos beautifully preserved the tiniest, most meaningful moments of our wedding day. His documentary style uniquely captured our wedding candidly, and the final photos turned out absolutely stunning.
The editing perfectly captured the vibe and ambiance of our wedding, making every picture feel like we were reliving the day all over again. Not only that, but our friends, family, and entire bridal party had such a great time during the photo sessions — having portraits taken was a joyful and fun experience for everyone!

Working with Lee for our wedding was an incredible experience. In the lead-up, he was always communicative and readily available to answer all of our questions. On the day itself, his easygoing and calming presence put us at ease, while his keen attention to detail ensured every moment was captured beautifully. My husband and I are usually camera-shy, but Lee made us feel comfortable and helped us achieve exactly what we wanted. We were able to get most of our photos done before the ceremony, which allowed us to fully enjoy the rest of the day with our guests. The resulting gallery is stunning, with a perfect balance of posed and candid shots. Our guests even joked that Lee was everywhere, capturing every detail! He also delivered the pictures incredibly fast, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! -

Lee is absolutely phenomenal! We had a bit of a rowdy wedding party, he handled them like it was no big deal and managed to get so many exceptional photos. Olsen Wedding 5/25/24
Lee and his team are an absolute blessing to have on your wedding day. I found them through the Knot.com. I instatntly fell in love with his style of photography. Not only that but when we were first looking for photographers Lee called me and we spike for an hour and a half about expectations and whay kind of wedding etc. No other photographer i looked at did this, I really appreciated the time he took out of his day to spend talking to us. Fast forward to wedding day Lee and his team made us super comfortable and helped to make our wedding magical. Lee is so easy to work with and definitely knows how to get shy couples out of their comfort zone. Lee not only helped capture our wedding but also us as a couple with an engagement shoot as well. I have never felt so comfortable around a photographer before.
Not only is he amazing to work with but his work is equally as amazing. I absolutely love every single one of my pictures and cannot pick a favorite. Not only are the pictures amazing we got our sneak peeks back the same day! It wasn't just 1 or 2 pictures either it was an entire album. That was an absolutely amazing surprise to wake up to the next morning.
I would recommend Alchemist Weddings for any event you may have! We will definitely be using him for photos in the future.

Lee did an AMAZING job capturing everyone at my wedding. There are pictures of family members that I will cherish forever. It was a smooth and easy process. Lee also worked to fit me in when I was having a photographer crisis! Not only did he give me a listening ear, but he was able to get to know my husband and I on a more personal level. He made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire session. I was beyond pleased with the final results and cannot wait to get them printed and framed!! We are beyond pleased with Lee’s work for our wedding day at the Biltmore Estate and our engagement pictures at Looking Glass falls, the pictures are beautiful and we will cherish them forever.
We were in the hunt for a photographer that was able to work independently as we wanted to rely on their creative eye so we could focus on our guests and enjoying our time at our ceremony and reception. Lee was fantastic to work with since the beginning, he was always able to answer any and all questions via text or a phone call. We were able to speak with him on several occasions to plan our vision.
We first met him for our engagement pictures and we didn’t have a clear idea of where we could take pictures since we are from Miami and not familiar with the Asheville area, Lee was great at providing a magnificent backdrop for our shoot, and although the weather at the fall was at times uncomfortable Lee was still able to capture amazing shots that we were delighted with.
For our big day we had to adhere to the many rules and limitations at the Biltmore Estate and Lee was able to pivot to make our first look pictures happen, we were able to enjoy our reception with the assurance he would know what to capture and when and we were satisfied with the end result. The turnabout time was also very reasonable and we had the final pictures before we got back from our honeymoon.
We would recommend Lee and his team without reservations, and I commend him for his artistic eye and ability to create a wonderful product while also taking into consideration our vision and ideas. -

Picking out a photographer felt super daunting in the beginning, but as met Lee we knew it was a perfect match. We just had our engagement photos, and I was BLOWN away by all the little moments he was able to capture. We wanted to find someone that would blend perfectly with our style and fit right in on our wedding day. It's evident in his work how personal it is for him and how much he truly cares about his clients' experience. I know he’s only ever a quick text or call away. We've had quite a few changes in locations and dates, and he’s been so flexible and helpful throughout.
We were obsessed with the engagement photos he took. The day of the photos, it just so happened to start raining as we were parking to meet up with Lee. He came prepared with two clear umbrellas and was pumped for the shoot regardless of the rain. He immediately put my nerves at rest. We ended up with over 200 photos in less than two weeks. I couldn't believe all the stunning photos I had to choose from. Not to mention, we had the best time scouting the Lake Lure area during our time. It was the best little adventure. We can’t wait to have Lee meet our two little ones for our family photos next. Our wedding day is about six months away, and there’s still so much to plan. But I’m so happy we found Lee, and I’m so excited to see all the moments he has yet to capture. Highly recommend! -

Lee is a fantastic wedding photographer. The communication and punctuality from day 1 of hiring Lee, all the way up to the communication and punctuality days before/day-of the wedding, was excellent. He is very personable and wants nothing more than to provide his absolute best work and fulfill any and all of the couple's dream photos. He is very patient with the chaos that comes with the wedding day, and he worked so well alongside the videographer that I hired. They ended up making a wonderful duo to capture my wedding day!
Waiting on the sneak peak photos took a little bit longer than anticipated, but WOW the photos are phenomenal once you get them! I only have the sneak peak pics so far, but the photography is unmatched. The photos captured are so unique, and I absolutely love his style of wedding photography. I cannot WAIT to get alllllll of the photos from the wedding! -

Hire him or you will regret it
It needs to be known that this is literally one of the most talented and emotionally dedicated photographers out there. From my experience, my best advice when planning a wedding is to put most of your budget on your venue and your photographer. The best thing about Lee is you will get A+++++ captured moments and edited pictures while not breaking your budget. This man not only knew what I wanted without telling him, but also gave me the direction to get the pictures I didn’t even think were possible. The best part of all of it, is Lee became apart of the party and my family and friends loved him. I would have it no other way but to have him as our photographer for all special and memorial events moving forward. Thank you Lee, you are incredibly talented and an amazing person inside and out. Great Photographer, especially for quirky weddings
We could not recommend Lee more highly. The pictures themselves were everything we could have hoped for, but Lee did so much more for us than just take excellent pictures.
First, the pictures themselves: I don’t think that we have ever looked as cool and sexy and sharp as we do in those pictures. There are fun pictures and cute pictures, and pictures with dark shadows and a creepy Alice-in-Wonderland vibe that we were going for. One of our sister-in-laws is a professional wedding photographer and she was especially impressed with Lee’s work.
Second, Lee is a lot of fun to hang out with. If you haven’t ever gotten married before, you probably don’t realize how much of your wedding day will be spent with your photographer. More than any other vendor, your photographer is the one where it matters if you have fun talking to and hanging out with them as a person. For us, Lee was the perfect person to talk to. Very relaxed, but with a sense of fun and excitement too.
Third, there are a few specific ways that Lee went above and beyond for us.
He has a sense of adventure as a photographer, and he found a way to get us through a barbed wire fence (while in dress and suit) in order to nab some amazing photos in the fields on the side of a mountain on our venue. If you are game for something and willing to try it, Lee will find a way to make it happen.
Lee is also very capable of being sensitive to complex family dynamics. He was careful to make sure that some photos which would have caused unnecessary drama were not included in the general cache of photos that we shared with family members.
Lee was absolutely worth the money, and you should absolutely hire him, especially if you are aiming to have a somewhat quirky or alternative ceremony. -

I had the pleasure of working alongside Alchemist photography this weekend and let me tell Lee and his 2nd shooter were amazing. He showed me some previews of his shoot and wow. The angles and ideas he came up with for capturing the bride and groom I can honestly say were super crearive and unique. I cannot wait to see the catalog post editing. -

The best in the business!
Lee was beyond wonderful to work with, not only day-of, but leading up to our special day. He was always on top of everything, making sure my now Husband and I were ready to go and made sure we had fun in the process. Throughout the day he was making sure to get every perfect shot and every perfect moment. He knew the best styles and locations for each picture and gave great photo shoot advice! Our families loved having him there too as he fit right in! We got a sneak pic of some photos the next morning!! And I can just say I can’t wait to see how the rest of them came out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!! -

G & E wedding
Lee is one of a kind! His photos are beautiful but even more so is the passion for his work with others. I was disabled in 2016 and being a bride is already nerve-racking but even more so from my wheelchair. I was anxious to find a photographer who would work well with me and capture great memories. Lee was so calming and encouraging while giving great direction. He never ran out of ideas or patience. lol. Cannot wait to see how the rest of my pictures turn out but with Lee I trust the process! 11 out of 10 recommend! -
