We worked with Armando and loved the photos we got from our wedding! Armando was very responsive, easy to communicate with prior to our big day, detailed oriented, and honest about what locations would look good versus would not look good which I appreciated it. He made me feel like he was there to genuinely capture our big day instead of just getting paid. The very next day we got a preview of some of our photos and WOOOW. Great quality and we can’t wait for the rest. -

One of our best wedding decisions
Armando and his assistant at AJ Photography were nothing short of spectacular for our wedding. From the start, with our enchanting engagement photos in the snow, we knew we were in excellent hands. Armando has this incredible knack for capturing the essence of moments, making even the simplest of scenes look breathtaking. His ability to blend candid and posed photography ensures that each photo tells a part of our love story.
On the wedding day, Armando not only continued his amazing photo work but also amazed us with his videography skills. Handling both roles, he captured the day’s emotions, the laughs, tears, and dances, in a way that felt both comprehensive and intimate. We received around 1,200 stunning photos and a highlight video that brought everyone to tears. Additionally, his willingness to provide raw footage of our ceremony and speeches was a gift beyond price, allowing us to relive those heartfelt moments exactly as they happened.
Armando's dual role as photographer and videographer was amazing, offering us a seamless narrative of our day without the need to coordinate between multiple vendors and for a lower price than booking a separate videographer. His presence was reassuring and unobtrusive, capturing every detail without ever feeling in the way. The quality and style of his work, combined with his professionalism and passion, made our wedding memories uniquely beautiful.
AJ Photography exceeded our expectations in every way. Armando's work is a testament to his talent and dedication to capturing love stories. Any couple would be lucky to have him document their day. -

AJ was Fantastic!
Armando was exactly what we were hoping to find in a photographer. We started working with him for our engagement photos which was in Colorado. He had another event that conveniently coincided with him being in our state that gave us the opportunity to work together from start to finish. We knew he would take more candid photos which is what we wanted, more of a fly on the wall to capture our guests interacting with each other. He was not one to gather groups for photos and we had to have our coordinator step in to gather certain family photos. The second photographer was amazing as well, they both exceeded our expectations! All in all, we were extremely pleased with him and the final product! -

Armando is an absolutely amazing photographer which we already knew after our engagement photo shoot that was included in our wedding photo package. However, once we received our wedding photos, we were absolutely blown away! Not only did he take absolutely breathtaking portraits and capture big moments throughout the day, but he caught a lot of sweet little moments of our guests. After sharing the gallery with some of our family and friends, many of them commented “ I can’t believe your photographer caught this moment of my sons, dad, mom, etc”. We are completely able to re-live our day with his photos. I don’t even understand how he was able to do it, but he also put together an 11 minute highlight video capturing our vows, big moments and many more little moments throughout the day! I was bawling while watching it! Also, really important to us was Armando was extremely responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process and even came to our 30 days out venue walk through to make sure we were on the same page. He stayed on track with the shot list timeline I created and was open to hearing our ideas for photos but also shared his. He works quietly and worked really well with our day of coordinator who I adore but is very assertive, but it didn’t phase Armando and they made a great team! Armando is an extremely talented photographer and you’d be lucky to book him for your wedding day! -

I am SPEECHLESS by Armando and his second shooter Eli! The work they did brought us to tears and the impact they had on our day will not be forgotten. His work is the exact vision I had. Armando is very reliable. He answers emails quickly and arrived to our wedding early. He’s is very professional and adaptable. Armando and Eli worked really well with our other vendors. It was so clear how passionate they are about their work and love for capturing special moments. Armando captured all the moments we asked for and so much MORE!
The video that Armando created was perfect! It looked like something out of a movie! With the rain and the mountains it almost look something from Twilight. I wish google allowed me to post the video. I cannot believe one person can create such amazing photos AND a cinematic video! I was amazed he got drone shots of the wedding! We had no idea! His prices are very very very reasonable for the insanely great quality work they did. The day of the wedding was the first time we met Armando in person. He was so easy to work with and made us all feel comfortable. He was great at coaching poses as well!
Choosing Armando was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding you won’t be disappointed! ❤️ -

Armando was great to work with! He also did our engagement photos with our newborn which was a difficult task, but he was patient, professional, and we were really impressed by his work. He was very nice and fun to be around. He was calm and made the awkwardness of getting our pictures taken a very comfortable experience. His work is very detailed, and we loved every single photo he took! We also loved the video he compiled of the highlights of the wedding. Armando was also very good at managing our guests and helped us get a photo of every guest at our wedding. All of our guests were very impressed with his efficiency. I would highly recommend hiring Armando for anyone looking for a great wedding photographer! -

Beautiful photos and great to work with
Armando and his team were lovely to work with. They were friendly, helped put us at ease, and took beautiful photographs. As a mixed couple, we both look very different, but Armando and his second photographer did a fabulous job with their photos and editing. They sent us the final photos a little bit late, but I was never concerned that would be an issue.
We had just one criticism: there were a couple of elements (the escort card display and the buffet tables) that we wanted photos of, but we didn’t mention to the photographers specifically as we assumed they’d photograph a lot of the decor and other items. Unfortunately, those two things were not photographed, which was a bummer but taught us that if you want something specific photographed, be sure to list it in your shot list! Otherwise, though, we really enjoyed working with Armando. -

We are so thankful to Armando! The wedding photos were great and the candid pictures of guests enjoying the day were some of our favorites. It was as busy a day as everyone says so the amazing pictures Armando took were priceless! Armando was amazing! He was able to schedule our wedding in in such a short notice. He was very responsive, very reasonable, super talented, and very punctual! He was able to put up with my all over the place plans! We cried looking at the photos abs watching our video. He even made the photos not look like the sky was orange from all the smoke! Amazing photographer!
My husband and I got both our engagement photos and wedding photos done with Armando. He was so great to work with! We absolutely LOVED the way both our photos came out. He went above and beyond making sure we had all the photos we wanted taken and delivered so many more than we expected. The 10 minute wedding video went way beyond our expectation and is definitely our favorite part. I would highly recommend Armando, especially for any couple looking to beautifully capture the Tahoe colors and scenery! -

Exceeded Expectations.
When we decided to push our wedding up we were panicking when we realized we had to plan it all within two months. Luckily we found Armando. He was fantastic from beginning to end. Prior to the event he held a zoom meeting with us to ensure he understood our vision and what we were looking for. Day of the event he showed up early and was eager to help out wherever needed on our special day. Even when the day got a bit hectic, Armando was calm collective and professional. The quality of photos we received was excellent and we would recommend him to anyone searching for a quality photographer. -

My husband and I decided to elope and needed a photographer in 10 days. AJ Photography was one of the first we reached out to and he stood out during the entire searching process due to his flexibility, his kind nature, and his reasonable price (seriously, his prices are insanely reasonable, especially once you see the quality of his photos). My mother in law and cried harder when we got the photos than we did at the event itself - they were absolutely beautiful. I literally cannot recommend him enough. -

My fiance, now husband, and I were looking for a photographer for our Tahoe Wedding. We decided to have a mini ceremony outdoors, and with only a month to plan. AJ Photography was recommended to us from Mountain High Weddings. Armando got back to us very quickly! He was very flexible, and very accommodating. It was a pleasure to have him at our event. He was very professional. we even asked him last minute if he would be willing to join us for Sunrise photos the next day, and he did. We didn't realize he had to drive an hour out of the way, that was very kind of him. And his prices are very reasonable. In fact, he should charge more! We highly recommend. -

Engagement shoot at Sand Harbor Beach
We loved our shoot with AJ! He recommended a great place to shoot and was very responsive. The pictures turned out beautiful! He even allowed us to extend our shoot and change into different outfits halfway through. He got the photos back before his original estimated date. Great experience, highly recommend! -

100% Would Hire Again!!!!
Such an amazing experience with Armando! During COVID we decided to go ahead with a "micro-wedding" aside from our original plans. Armando to the rescue! His quote was reasonable, he worked with us to "customize" what we needed and within his pricing offered to record our vows for us too, which was super amazing since all of our immediate family would not be able to attend due to COVID and being out of state. He was so flexible in working with the constant ups and downs of restrictions and that we had to change our entire venue location about 2 weeks out. The day of he and his assistant arrived right on time, were so professional and nice and lovely to work with overall. He has quite the eye too, at one point I was wondering why he had us standing in a center spot, but those pics from that spot were some of our faves! Don't hesitate, book with AJ Photography you will be happy! -

Armando and his wife did such an amazing job for our wedding!! We had to postpone our bigger ceremony and reception until August because of COVID-19, but still had a small ceremony on our original wedding date in April to still get married. Armando was so flexible with us, even when changes had to be made 2 days before the wedding! Not only did he help alleviate stress and reschedule us for August, he also agreed to be there for our original date in April. Armando and his wife are so easy to work with, very laid back, and do incredible work. They capture your big day and all of the special moments without interrupting or causing stress, they made the day go so smoothly! The photos and videos themselves blew us away when we saw them for the first time, they are absolutely breathtaking!! He truly captured who we are as a couple and the photos are everything I could have dreamed they would be. Armando’s rates are so much more reasonable than anything else I’ve seen in this area, he gets the edited photos and video to you quickly, and having two photographers was such a great way to capture all the different aspects and moments of our day. We can’t wait to have Armando and his wife be a part of our celebrations in August as well!! We would highly recommend him to anyone needing photos for any type of special occasion. -

Your go-to photographer!
I came across Armando’s name and portfolio online and was immediately impressed with his work. Shortly after, I sent him an email expressing interest in hiring him for my intimate wedding ceremony in Tahoe and we signed the contact! We had him for 1.5 hours. He was extremely responsive all the way through the delivery of our photos. :)
The day of my wedding, I was extremely impressed with his kindness and flexibility on timing. My family and husband all had a great time (even though it was extremely extremely cold in Tahoe)!!

Armando and his lovely wife were absolutely amazing! They were both very professional and accommodating. I love the fact that they were able to capture the moments without us feeling like we needed to do anything special, we could just be us, and enjoy in the moment. I would definitely recommend them. Excellent Photographer
Armando was a pleasure to work with! He made sure to capture my proposal from a distance to not give a away the surprise. He was communicative and easy to work with, especially since we were traveling from LA to Mammoth Lakes.
