It takes a team to make a dream
From the start A&J were there for us--from helping us find vendors, reviewing contracts, weaving in personal touches, keeping us sane, and creating space for us to truly enjoy our day. I could not imaging having the day of my dreams without the dedicated support that A&J provided. I know the team has a lot on their plates, but with them I felt like the only bride. Adrian was so sweet and helped me through the whole planning process, and day of was a champion for my partner and me. She made sure everyone was in lock steps (our team of vendors and of course our family and friends) and ensured that our day surpassed all expectations. I truly could not image our day without A&J and we are forever grateful for them in helping us make our day (and all the planning leading up to it) such an amazing, unforgettable experience. I would recommend this team to anyone and everyone. -

Highly recommend!
We cannot say enough good things about A&J! Jena worked with us for month-of-coordination, and she made everything a million times easier. From high level planning our schedule for the day, all the way to catching tiny details in our contracts with other vendors, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was planned to make our day perfect. On the day itself, she kept everything moving smoothly and on time, made sure decor was perfectly arranged, and even packed up everything from the bridal suite and loaded it into our transportation at the end of the night. Anything we needed, she was 5 steps ahead.
We highly recommend A&J to any other couple! -

We could not have been happier with A&J for helping us with partial planing for our wedding! From the first email to the end of our event, Jena and Danielle were quick to communicate, very professional, and extremely helpful in providing their expertise. They did an amazing job of contacting vendors with questions we would have never thought of, keeping us on track with planning to have the least amount of stress the couple weeks leading up to the wedding, and even brought a huge day-of emergency kit with anything we would have needed. They made sure to communicate only with our maid of honor and best man on wedding day to allow us to enjoy our day- stress and decision free. We are so thankful for A&J and could not have had such an incredible day without them! -

My wife and I got married September 2024 at Wintergreen Resort. We had another day of coordinator we were working with leading up to our wedding. Unfortunately our original coordinator had to end their contract with us for personal reasons and my wife and I had to find a new day of coordinator less then 3 months from our wedding data. In came A&J Event Planning. We worked with Jena and she immediately jumped in and brought our plan up to speed. We could tell right away with the speed and attention to detail that we were going to be just fine on our wedding day. This was also A&J Event Plannings first wedding at Wintergreen resort. That did not stop them from quickly scheduling a meeting with the wedding director at the resort, getting a full walk through and coming prepared with all their questions to understand how Wintergreen operated. Our wedding day went perfectly! It was all thanks to Jena directing the day and making it so stress free for us. We could not recommended A&j Event Planning enough for your wedding. You will not be disappointed. -

The Wedding of our Dreams
We could not have had the wedding of our dreams, without A&J Event Planning and Coordination. I wanted a day of coordinator to allow our friends and family to enjoy the day without having to worry about all of the set up, clean up, and any issues that come up on the wedding day. We had a few issues related to other vendors and A&J ensured that the day was absolutely perfect and that everyone could enjoy the day without any stress or worry. They were supportive and made sure that everything important to us on our wedding day happened, and helped to troubleshoot any issues that arose on the day and the months leading up to the big day. I would 100% recommend their team to help create your dream wedding and have your vision come to life. We cannot thank them enough! -

There is no possible way I can speak highly enough of the A&J team! We mostly worked with Jena throughout the planning process and she was absolutely beyond amazing! She helped keep me on track with planning by guiding me on what tasks needed to be done while also offering to take over some tasks when I was overwhelmed. She scheduled meetings when we needed to touch base on things but also always responded to my frantic emails with tons of questions! The week of the wedding, Jena took over all communication with our vendors so that she could ensure everything was set while I could relax and enjoy the time. On our wedding day, the whole team was so professional while also keeping things fun and so supportive. When something went wrong with a dessert machine, Jena immediately stepped in to handle it and told my husband and I to just get back on the dance floor! I cannot imagine doing this process without A&J and I am SO thankful we had them on our team. You guys are truly amazing and are the reason why our wedding was the best day of our lives!! Working with Jena was the best investment we made when planning our wedding. She was incredibly helpful from our first consultation and provided us with every resource we needed to plan the perfect day. A&J Event planning and Coordination truly made my daughter's wedding day a dream come true. They were organized, professional, kind, and friendly. Planning the wedding with them was so easy, because they thought of every little detail. They took care of setting up everything the day of the wedding all while keeping us on schedule, managing the vendors and helping with little details like steaming the wedding dress. Perfection!
Because we had decided to push our wedding back an additional 6 months, we worked with A&J for almost 2 years! Adrian and Jena organized and provided childcare services for our wedding
Adrian and Jena organized and provided childcare services for our wedding where they watched several groups of children in different hotel rooms that we had available. As far as communication and coordination, they were top tier. They were highly responsive, friendly, and made everything so easy. We felt very comfortable leaving our loved ones in their care. The hotel staff commented on how professional their operation was during the event. The children in our families told us that they had a lot of fun with their caretakers. We are so thankful that their services were available for us on our wedding and we would recommend their services to anyone else looking for event planning services. -

We worked with Jena, and she was great!
She was very communicative, gave great suggestions, and answered all of our questions thoughtfully. She was flexible to accommodate all of the important details that we wanted, while also giving us her knowledge about what usually works/looks best. We had a minor emergency during our cocktail hour and she and her team handled it perfectly, helping coordinate getting emergency services to address the situation while also keeping everyone calm and the rest of the party going smoothly. They helped our day run smoothly and it was a great relief to know that all the behind-the-scenes management was in capable hands! -

The dream team!
Where do I even begin?! These ladies are the dream.team. Not only are they amazingly organized, professional, connected, knowledgeable, communicative, and experienced, but they are also truly wonderful and kind people who I now consider friends. Adrian was our lead planner, and she was there for us every step of the way. From our initial discovery call with her, to every email/phone call/Zoom throughout the process, we always felt we were in good hands. She was patient with all of our questions, took initiative when she saw we needed it, and was firm with any fussy vendors. Our entire wedding party and my parents were amazingly impressed with Adrian and were raving the whole next day. She has that “calm but assertive” attitude that makes you feel entirely at ease because you know she’s got it all handled. Our wedding day was so smooth thanks to her and her team. She handled a small family emergency with grace and efficiency, for which I will forever be thankful. She and her team even came back to our AirBnb on property after the reception and tidied up for us - talk about going above and beyond! I am an event planner in a different industry, so I know how much work goes into coordinating a big event. Even with my knowledge of general event organization, having a wedding planner is the best money we spent. If you are on the fence about if you need a wedding planner or not, hire A&J. You will not regret it. -

A&J went above and beyond!
My husband Scott and I worked with Adrian and Danielle for partial planning for our June wedding at Mount Ida in Charlottesville. We were planning from across the country in Seattle and started working with them about a year and a half out from the wedding. They were super flexible with coordinating meeting times and jumped in right away to help us start planning. Through every step, they made us feel comfortable, were very communicative and responsive, and kept us on track. They did everything from helping us find the best vendor team, helping to review contracts, to going through multiple iterations of our timeline and seating charts.
They helped coordinate both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding - and made sure both events went off without a hitch! They have such an amazing attention to detail - from setting up decor and a candy bar to ensuring our timeline stayed on track - they made sure everything was flawless! Additionally, their calm and caring nature put me at ease on my wedding day, which I was so thankful for. We really could not have asked for a better team to work with!

We highly recommend A&J Event Coordination!
We really appreciate Jena and Adrian, and they did a fantastic job coordinating our wedding. In the intro call, they gave us a great idea of the planning areas we needed to focus on, and the spreadsheet they created was a wonderful guide that I kept open on my computer for the entire 6 months before the wedding. They were also a huge help at the venue walk-through and made sure to ask the important questions to keep us on track. A&J made our floor plan which was such a blessing - we had no idea how many logistics went into a floor plan. They also have rentals for many common wedding items which was so helpful as an out-of-state couple. On the day of, we can’t express to you how grateful we were for A&J. Our table numbers box went missing and we didn’t even know! A&J found it for us and got everything set up in time. We also completely forgot a cake-cutting set but we never even knew we forgot because A&J brought a backup! Our whole day ran seamlessly and we didn’t have to stress about the logistics. Adrian & Danielle,
We want to thank you for EVERYTHING you did to make our daughter’s dream wedding come true!! It was truly magical and like a fairytale. We were not involved in the planning meetings pre-wedding day as our daughter and her fiancé handled those, but I know our daughter mentioned several times how much more relaxed & comfortable she felt after meeting with you (even though they were planning a wedding from across the country).
What we do know is how amazing and supportive you were the entire wedding weekend! From your attention to every little detail to the timeline to the emergency kit to the little reminders to you just being there as a calming presence was beyond professional, personal, and top-notch. That allowed our daughter and her fiancé, her entire wedding party, and us & her fiancée’s parents to just be present and enjoy every moment of each of the days.
We also want to especially thank you for working with us to set up the candy bar, the guest book table, and the outside welcome table! We know that took a lot of extra effort and time. They were all amazing and just how we envisioned them to be!

Greatest Ever
When my wife and I initially began wedding planning... we were skeptical about getting wedding planners of any kind. Once we decided to go with A&J Event Planning and Coordination, we quickly backtracked on our words since they were so helpful. We worked closely with Jena, and she really went above and beyond with the services she provided. She was always willing to talk through any problem, whether it was big or small and always provided great solutions to those problems.
Jena really took our special day and our vision and ran with it. Our wedding day turned out absolutely perfect because of A&J Event Planning and Coordination. Jena and her team really handled everything perfect, from the decorating, to helping guests know where to be, and keeping everything on track. Her team also helped us with our special ring bearer Boom (our goodest boy) by making sure he was taken care of. I always struggle with letting go of responsibilities (a bit of a control freak) but I felt no issue when it came wedding day to let Jena and her team handle everything.
You will not regret choosing A&J Event Planning and Coordination for any wedding planning or coordination services. They are an extremely dedicated and thoughtful company and they truly will do everything in their power to make your day as special as it should be. Jena and her team were the biggest help during all of the planning and execution of our vision and we truly could not have had such an amazing day without them. Wonderful vendor partner and expert wedding planner!
As a wedding photographer, I have gotten to work with the A&J team twice recently. They are professional, great at what they do, and clearly go above and beyond for their clients. They managed to find rug aisle runner rentals for a couple the night before their wedding to manage a muddy aisle situation, and it worked flawlessly! I even witnessed them handling things outside their scope, like finding a solution for a dress that wouldn’t bustle right for the reception. Excited to continue to work together, and highly recommend their services!-

Calm, Collective and Supportive Every Step of the Way
A&J Event Planning and Coordination amazed us with their exceptional service during the planning and at our wedding on October 28, 2023. From the first moment we met, the team was wonderfully supportive and put our minds at ease that they would be by our side each step of the way. We lived 3hrs away, and among all the other steps involved, they stayed true to their word and navigated our distance without a hitch. They were mindful of our limited vendor visit schedule and recommended local vendors to advise when we were feeling overwhelmed. The day before our wedding day, we encountered an unpredictable situation during the rehearsal. Rather than leaning into feeling overwhelmed, I looked at Jena and told her I trusted her 100% to take care of the solution. She once again remained calm and collected. She kept everything on track on the big day and made everything look easy. She and her team were everywhere, ensuring every detail was perfect and we had the best day of our lives! A&J event planning was recommended to us a month before our wedding. We needed someone to run our ceremony and Jena did a phenomenal job! The best wedding vendor
I had always known hiring a wedding planner was integral for our wedding because we were planning this out of state.
A&J were incredible to work with. We felt supported the entire planning process. They took a lot of weight off our shoulders and made everything much less stressful. There are so many details I would have never thought about if it weren't for A&J.
We hired an additional team member to watch our dog who was part of the wedding. I know he was a happy dog because he was asleep before we even got in bed! They also helped my cousin find a way home when uber fell through.
It was hands down the best investment we could have made. I highly recommend working with A&J! -

The Best Team of Wedding Planners / Coordinators
A&J and their amazing team were an absolutely essential vendor for our wedding day as well as all of the planning leading up to it. They were a very professional group, both in communication to us as well as with our other vendors. The value that they provided to us was incredible and so appreciated by myself, my husband and my mom. We were so grateful to have A&J every step of the way. We planned the wedding from a couple hours away which made it a bit more difficult, but having them on our team made everything much more seamless. Finally, I was so appreciative of their execution of the wedding decor I had made/brought etc., they made our ceremony and reception look amazing and executed my vision beautifully! We trusted them completely and our wedding day turned out to be so amazing! -

Absolutely amazing wedding coordinators
Originally, I didn't think I wanted to hire wedding coordinators, but as we got further into the process, I started to worry about everyone coming up to ask me questions on the wedding day. Our venue recommended A&J, and by the end of the process, I seriously think booking A&J was the best money we spent on the entire wedding. They were super helpful from the start, providing lists of recommended vendors at our price point early in the planning process. Jena helped us with designing a schedule and deciding on a floorplan, and at every step in the process brought up details I hadn't thought of that made our day run so smoothly. A month out, she took the lead with reaching out to all of our vendors to ensure everyone had the details they needed and was confident about the plan. A couple weeks ahead of the wedding, Jena alerted us to an issue with one of our vendors and helped come up with an entirely new plan for catering a week and a half before our wedding. The team stepped up and staffed our buffet with literally a week and half of notice. I can't thank them enough for saving our wedding day and looking out for us the whole way. Jena was so helpful, responsive, and kind at every step, and I truly can't recommend A&J enough. You won't regret adding them to your wedding team! -

Amazing Experience with A&J
Where my husband and I got married they required at least a day of coordinator. At the time I didn't see the importance, but came to google and stumbled upon A&J on WeddingWire. Adrian and Jena were the absolute best to work with! They are both so kind, talented, and organized! They helped make our day run so smoothly and helped us with so many details we would have never thought about. My views on a wedding coordinator have totally changed since working with them. As a bride you want to be present in your big day and not have to worry, they took all that stress off of me! The other vendors we worked with all complimented A&J on their communication and schedules. We can't say enough good things about Adrian and Jena and would highly recommend A&J Event Planning and Coordination. -

Amazing Planners!
We cannot thank A&J enough for everything!! They responded to every message/email/question we had! We had our first meeting and were running late and Adrian and Jena were so flexible and still met with us even with our short notice. They have a very smooth system and take care of all the little things you haven't even thought about! When our linens showed up the night before wrinkled they found a way to fix the situation so we didn't have to worry about it. They are very organized. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us! We highly recommend them! -

Month-Of Coordination, Florals, Weekend Staffing
I cannot say enough good things and A&J Planning and Coordination. I contracted with them for “month-of coordinating” and they jumped right in, helping me get all of my ducks in a row. Below is a short list of the wonderful ways they made our wedding a stress-free experience.
HIT THE GROUND RUNNING. This is a company typified by professionalism, humor, and flexibility. They have solid tools to help with tables and seat assignments, timelines, and vendor management. They were basically on top of everything from the moment I signed a contract with them. Every call was reassuring and productive.
IMPECCABLE TASTE, ARTICULATED MY VISION. A&J has an in-house florist/decorator, Renee, who did an amazing job. Several people came up to compliment the arbor installation. She took my compostable plates, paper linens, and random stuff and made it look like the wedding I envisioned. It was as if a more organized and crafty version of myself was working on my behalf.
SOLUTIONS TO EVERY CHALLENGE. With less than a month to go we realized our catering did not include service staff. Adrian and Jena found 3 people to staff our whole event in just a few days. We also needed additional help serving food at the rehearsal. Jena and Renee took care of us all night. They worked with my mom to get appetizers and dinner out to the group — going above and beyond what anyone would consider coordinating — and even stayed late when the party ran over.
MADE US VIP FOR THE WEEKEND. The staff was on-point, going WAY BEYOND what I expected in terms of setting up and serving out food, making sure our family felt like VIPs. My mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and groom all noted how wonderful they were. They were on top of all of the vendors and gave me a recap of any pertinent information before leaving. They set up multiple stations for us throughout the night — grazing and smores tables, a “end of night” bar, and “take-away” snacks for the after party. Each of these stations had way more flare than I expected and seemed to appear like magic.

A&J are the BEST!
Adrian and Jena are the reason why my wedding went off so smoothly! From day one (which was 11 months before my wedding!) they were so helpful. They are extremely communicative, organized and collaborative. They helped with vendors, timelines, checklists, everything! They really went above and beyond and were able to execute on everything I had envisioned. Not only are they amazing at what they do, they are so sweet and kind. I loved working with them. Amazing At What They Do!
I wish I could give these ladies more than five stars! Adrian, Jena, and Renee are amazing at what they do. They did an outstanding job setting up my daughter’s entire wedding and breaking everything down the following day. From start to finish, these ladies executed everything perfectly; they were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were kindhearted, responsive, flexible, and always professional. They went above and beyond and went out of their way to accommodate any and all requests. I honestly cannot thank these ladies enough for all their guidance, suggestions, and hard work. Hiring A&J Event Planning and Coordination was the best decision I could have made and worth every penny. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES!

A must-have vendor
I thought I could easily plan and execute my wedding without a planner. It was one of the first things I took out of the budget in the initial wedding planning stages. I cannot express how poor that decision was. In retrospect, Jena and Adrian's day-of planning services would be at the absolute top of my list. I tease that I would take away food before taking away a planner now that I am fully aware of how incredibly crucial these ladies are! Having the ability to fully enjoy my once in a lifetime day with out a single worry or thing to organize was priceless. The day went on without a hitch as far as I knew. Come to find out later that Jena was quietly solving problems and organizing so that everything came together seamlessly. For example, it was the day of the wedding that Jena realized the silverware didn't arrive (this was an error on my part as I didn't throughly check the items the rental business dropped off). She promptly took care of the problem. What could have been a disaster resulting in everyone eating with their hands, was instead a hiccup that I didn't even know occurred until days after the wedding. Moments like this one and others that could have been a big stressor on my wedding day took a back seat. Give yourself the gift of a stress-free wedding. It is worth every penny. -

Best Money Spent
Hands down the best money we spent on our wedding.
I was a control freak through the design phase … but then I was able to hand off my dreams and Adrian and Jena knocked it out of the park.
All our guests gushed about how incredible they were. Can’t wait to throw another party so I can hire them again! -
