I had connected with Ammy months and months before I even got engaged. I had been eyeing their page for a really long time and little did I know, I had found my wedding photographer but someone I truly call a friend. The best thing about this team is not only do you get Ammy, you get her husband Hien as well and they are both so so talented! We have only taken engagement photos with them but I already know the wedding photos are going to be breathtaking. They pay attention to all the little details in every photo and they truly listen and make your visions come true. Not only do they have an amazing eye, they add so much fun to your shoot! I absolutely adore seeing them work together and collabing for the best angles. They truly are the dream team!! I would recommend Ammy and Hien to anyone I know, they will give you photos that will last a lifetime.

Back to update this review after our wedding with Ammy and Hien and if I could give them more stars, I would. The experience was everything! They check in with you throughout the whole day and make you and your family feel so taken care of. Ammy and Hien are so thoughtful and intentional with everything that they do. I knew that every single photo counted and we aren’t just another couple, there is a truly a wonderful relationship you have when you book with Ammy and Hien. Ammy and Hien are one of the most friendly and adorable husband&wife photographer couples that you can find in Seattle. They are extremely fun and down-to-earth. We love their energy and always have the best time photographing with them. Yes, I didn't use their service once if you can name all the occasions that one would need professional photos taken, I have done them from engagement photos to career boosting photoshoots. They are so creative with their pose suggestions and angles too. I LOVE THEM!!! I can't wait to have them capture all of our future meaningful moments in the future soon. Booking Ammy & Hien as our photographers was one of the best wedding decisions we ever made. They are a dream duo with a photography style that is beautiful, elegant, and timeless. We are in awe of the way Ammy & Hien captured all the special moments of the day from start to finish. From the excitement/build up of our first look to the sentimental moments of our ceremony to the pure bliss and dancing that followed into the end of the night — Ammy & Hien perfectly captured all of the love, family, joy, and emotions that came with our special day. We get emotional looking back at our photos and how beautifully our wedding story was told.
Beyond their artistic talents, Ammy & Hien are a warm and welcoming couple that are super fun and easy to work with. They are the perfect balance of professional and personable. Absolute lifesavers!
Ammy & Hien truly came to our rescue for our August 2024 wedding when our original photography team canceled just one month before the big day. From the start, they were both incredible to work with, instantly putting us at ease and turning what could have been a stressful experience into a joyful one. Despite the last-minute change and their busy summer schedule, they even made time for an engagement session to help us feel more comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding.
Looking back, having our first photo team cancel was a blessing in disguise—our photos with Ammy & Hien captured us looking so much more natural and genuinely happy. Their chemistry behind the camera is amazing, and their photography is truly beautiful. We can't recommend them more highly to any couples looking for a talented team to capture their day! -

Incredible.
We were recommended Ammy and Hien by a friend, and golly that was a fantastic recommendation. They were incredibly accommodating to our parents (who are older and had limited mobility). They called to confirm times, locations, ideas. They were so incredibly patient and understanding. THEN we got the pictures and we cannot stop looking at them.
We truly cannot recommend them enough for their professionalism, kindness, and quite frankly, out of this world talent. -

Where can we start?! Ammy & Hien made our wedding day look MAGICAL in our photos! They seriously went the extra mile to make everything look amazing & run smoothly on the day of. We really appreciated that they knew exactly how a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony would go -- so much so there were times I even asked them advice from their own experience! Our family appreciated that they captured all the photos of the altar, the entrances, family portraits (so important) & more! The wedding ceremony & reception photos are AMAZING & they are able to capture all the fun moments we shared with family & friends & our surprise first dance! They also took the most EPIC money dance photos --- my favorites for sure! We loved that we were able to get to know Ammy & Hien with a consultation before hand getting boba & that we didn't need to explain much about our cultural traditions -- they already knew exactly what we were talking about. They took amazing photos at our amazing engagement session with our pups & were so flexible when things kept changing due to covid. Ammy & Hien own their photography business as husband and wife. They are very professional, flexible, creative, easy to work with, personable, and the list can go on and on. I found them through social media and initially just booked them for our engagement shoot. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They would demonstrate sample poses for us together, and you can tell the love and joy they have for capturing beautiful, real photos. We were so pleased with the pictures we received. After this experience, we booked them for our California wedding. They researched my venue, worked well with my videographer, and went above and beyond the day of my wedding, making sure to capture all of my "must do" pictures on my list. My bridal party and guests absolutely loved them. They are kind, wonderful humans who deliver exceptional, high-quality work, and they are worth the investment. We couldn't be happier to have chosen them as our wedding photographers. -

Ammy and Hien are AMAZING photographers and human beings! My fiance and I did the adventure engagement shoot with them, and it was so much fun! We are very awkward people in front of the camera and they made us feel so comfortable. We were SPEECHLESS when we received our sneak peek photos less than a day later. 1) all the photos were so amazing and 2) their work ethics are unbelievable! Knowing how busy they are, we did not expect to see our photos so quickly. Also, we never directly booked their photobooth but our best friends did and that was also amazing! I had the pleasure of working with Ammy and Hien for our proposal photoshoot and their photos exceeded our expectations in every way. Ammy and Hien work so well in tandem with each other to capture the emotions and details of our special moment. They were so easy to work with and their enthusiasm made us feel very comfortable in our own skin. Every single photo we received from them was perfect.
Communication was prompt and smooth. We came from out of town for our photos and they had a lot of insight after hearing our vision. On the day of the proposal, I had some issues getting to the location but they were very accommodating with all the changes that occurred.

Ammy and Hien were the most wonderful photographers a couple could ever ask for. They were flexible, generous, and guided us through our whole wedding process which is really appreciated when the couple has so much on their plate already. If we had any questions or concerns, they were on it right away. I could not have asked for a better duo. I can't think about anything negative to say because everything went so smoothly on their part. This couple treats you like family and they definitely put the couple's wants and needs first. They make things run smoothly AND they take gorgeous photos. What more can you ask for? I also did a photoshoot with them in their studio and I highly recommend that as well! If you have any hesitations about picking photographers, I would not hesitate to pick Ammy and Hien! -

The best investment!
No amount of words can truly describe how amazing Ammy and Hien are. We met Ammy and Hien in 2019 while we were planning for our 2020 wedding, and we immediately clicked with them. We decided to book an adventure engagement shoot, so we could explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and it was the best decision! Ammy and Hien were so adventurous and fun - it wasn't just a photoshoot; it was a whole experience! You would think road tripping with strangers would be awkward, but we never felt that way with them.
When we postponed our wedding to 2021 because of COVID, we actually changed our plans twice, eventually downsizing our vendor list and essentially starting from scratch: 150 person wedding at a barn to a 150 person wedding at a winery to a 20 person wedding at a small loft. Because we no longer had a planner, Ammy and Hien graciously offered to step in and help us make huge decisions such as venue, timeline, and photo locations for the day. They helped us through a lot of our indecisiveness and were incredibly patient with us. We never felt pressured which we appreciated. We still recommend getting a planner or coordinator so they can focus on their craft, but we are forever thankful they assisted us as much as they did during a time of uncertainty.
Our wedding day was perfect with the help of Ammy and Hien. They made us feel comfortable in wedding attire (we're not ones to really dress up, we're a tshirt/no makeup kind of couple for the most part) and the entire day was so fun and easy. They also got through our family photos quickly and efficiently which I was stunned by, since corralling crowds isn't always the easiest thing! When we received the sneak peeks, we were in awe. Gorgeous photos that really captured our love and pure happiness on our most important day. They are such a creative team, and you can visibly tell they love their jobs which makes us happy as their clients!
We got to know Ammy and Hien not just as vendors but as friends, and we can say, without a doubt in our minds, that they are the most down-to-earth, least judgmental, absolutely wonderful human beings who truly care about their clients. They will always be our favorite vendors, and we look forward to booking them again for future milestones!

Book them before it’s too late!
We booked Ammy and Hien for our engagement and court wedding photos and I swear it was like hanging out with friends! They made you feel so good, always hyping you up and never ran out of poses! We love the light, airy, natural colors of the photos. It feels like you’re just being cuddly with your s/o and they’re taking candid photos for you. They’re so fun, professional and informative. Ammy helped me coordinate outfits with the photo locations and we even printed photo books through them! Def don’t skip out on them! -

We had such an incredible experience with Ammy & Hien from start to finish. They went above and beyond from the moment we started talking to them. They personally went and scouted out spots for us for our dream Mount Rainier shoot, accommodated us wanting some photos with our dogs, and made us so comfortable behind the camera! You know when you meet people and it feels like you’ve known them for a long time? Well Ammy and Hien felt like that. In the few hours we did spend together, we had so much fun and it showed in our photos. I’m telling you It makes a huge difference when you have photographers that make you feel comfortable where you can be yourself. They captured us so well and really understood my vision. Before I even officially booked them, Ammy was so helpful and prompt with her responses to my emails. I really appreciated how detailed she was in her communication. You should just see the list of Seattle/ Tacoma recommendations she sent me. Ammy and Hien were prepared when our original plans failed and had a backup plan ready to go. We were initially really disappointed but they managed to turn the day around for us. You can tell they really love what they do and it makes them a joy to work with. Just to give an example of how prepared they are, when we hopped in their car for our adventure shoot, they were stocked up with a bunch of snacks and a basket of toiletries and other necessities in case of an emergency during the shoot. It was overall a really fun experience and we are so glad we went with them. We got our sneak peek photos less than a week of the shoot and we’re OBSESSED. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun photoshoot in the Seattle area! -

100% perfect!
Ammy and Hien go above and beyond for their clients, and it shows both in their work but also in the relationship they form with their clients. When we initially reached out to Ammy when we got engaged two years ago, she was responsive and kind. Both Ammy and Hien went out of their way to make each interaction with them special and personal, and truly made us comfortable when they were capturing our special day. Ammy worked with me to make my engagement and wedding photo dreams a reality. She got excited with me in those moments of planning, planned perfect photo ops for us each step of the way, and calmed me in a brief wedding dress panic! And I haven’t even gotten to the photo quality.
As for the photos, Ammy and Hien shoot with different lenses from different perspectives and are both highly skilled photographers. We have so many quality photos from both of our engagement session as well as our micro-wedding. Their style is light and airy but also crisp and colorful, with impeccable attention to detail. Ammy was meticulous in editing our albums to perfection.
We wouldn’t trade our photographers for the world. Both Ammy and Hien made my husband and I, as well as our families, feel at ease in front of the camera. Their personalities are bright and fun, just absolutely delightful to be around. Both our families were raving about how fabulous they were. They get an 11/10 in my book and we’d hire them again in a heartbeat. -

I was introduced to Ammy/Hien a few years back and have always known that when I get married, that I would want them to shoot my wedding day. I've always been big on supporting API small businesses and people in the creative space (especially Vietnamese ones) and with so few in the Seattle area, I've always been so thankful to have found Ammy/Hien and see how much they're grown the last few years. Not only have they now capture our wedding, but they also captured my sister's last year and it's like they're a part of the family now -- truly like an older sister/brother to us.
From our engagement shoot, to our pre-wedding fall minis, to our wedding day, Ammy and Hien have not ounce failed at capturing our love story so beautifully. Ammy & Hien went above and beyond with capturing all the emotions of the day: tears, laughter, and joy. We had mentioned that's what we were really looking for and they surely delivered. The photos so far look so genuine and natural -- we didn't even notice them snapping most of these photos, which makes them even more precious. I had picked Ammy & Hien for their light and airy photography and realized that they were so much more than their editing style. They are super kind and friendly, and also very responsive. We booked them early and they actually helped recommend us to the DJ/MC and videographers that we ended up hiring (Wunderland Events and Camboy Artistry, they were also great). They provided high quality images and quite fast (over 100 in just the sneak peeks within a few days)! I had been nervous about dark photos because we got married at a shaded and wooded venue, but they really know how to utilize the lighting and make any scenery bright and stunning while still preserving the beauty of the scenery itself. We couldn't be happier that we chose Ammy & Hien to capture our special day - they are so talented and warm and made us all feel comfortable in front of the camera! -

Power couple for your wedding
This power couple is exactly what our wedding needed. We booked them so far in advance and not once did we feel like we were forgotten. They went out of their way in so many ways to shower us with love and prep us for the big day. The energy they bring to your wedding is also unbelievable. Ammy and Hien are the best! We eloped at Olympic National Park and wanted a photographer that didn't charge us over 5 figures for the whole experience as well as having those bright airy colors that brings out the best of us and the nature around us and I feel like they delivered! They were extremely responsive with everything that I needed and I could not have asked for a more communicative photographer! I cannot wait to see the photos when they come back but I just wanted to review what a positive experience I had with them.
We wanted a photobooth last min for our big celebration and they totally helped us get that set up and it was a blast at our wedding. If you know anything about Asian weddings, it's not complete without a photobooth. For just an extra 50 dollars more you can get unlimited prints and my family sure took advantage of that! We had so much extra prints that I could keep some as memories. Hien was so patient and easily explained how it all worked. 10/10 working with these guys and I'd hire them again for any big parties we'll have in the future :) -

Where do I begin? Responsive. Professional. Fun. Personable. Kind. Patient. TALENTED. These are just a few words that describe Ammy and Hien. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with on my and my partner's special day. Ammy and Hien showed up early to get the lay of the land and started taking photos right away while I was getting ready. Their guidance and coaching with portraits eased my nerves because I get awkward taking photos but they made it so fun. I highly recommend this couple for wedding photography, engagement photography, everything!!! I already knew that this couple was going to be AMAZING because they already did photography for two mutual acquaintances of mine AND was recommended by my wedding vendor!!
Ammy and Hien make such a great pair. They literally both hype you up on your wedding day with their bubbly and friendly personalities. They are open-minded and flexible with what shots you want to capture for your special day. We had our wedding at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and their pictures were amazing.
They come at a very affordable price for the quality you get with two photographers. They are so personable and so easy to work with. I definitely recommend them for your special events!! -

Ammy and Hien have beautiful visions in mind and guided us through all the poses. Shooting the photos has never felt awkward, and was always fun, including for our wedding party! Not only are their photography skills excellent, but we also used their photobooth for our wedding day and it was a huge hit with our guests! Absolutely the best! Book them ASAP!
Ammy and Hien were such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end! My husband Justin and I booked their classic photobooth package for 3 hours at our wedding. Both Ammy and Hien were incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. Our guests had a ton of fun and made many comments on how impressive the photobooth setup was and how they want to get one for their own wedding! Additional pluses: you get a online digital gallery of all the photos that were taken by the photobooth, and as the bride and groom you get photostrips of all the photos you appeared in, so you don't have to worry about grabbing them as they print. We will definitely be finding an excuse to book Ammy & Hien's photobooth again in the future! You definitely won't regret getting one :) -

Ammy and Hien are phenomenal. We hired them for our engagement photos and wedding day and we could not be happier with our results. They make you feel so comfortable! I’m so glad we decided to hire Ammy and Hien for our tea ceremony pictures.
From the beginning, Ammy was super repsonsive in providing me all the details to make my decision. She continued to be easy to communicate with the rest of the way. I felt assured knowing that she had shot Vietnamese tea ceremonies before and was herself Vietnamese — making it easier for my parents to ask questions and direct on the day of the ceremony.
Both Ammy and Hien were incredibly friendly, corteous and great at hyping up our bridal party. I’m so happy with how the pictures turned out and will treasure them forever. -

The sweetest photographers that'll hype you up :)
We have been more than impressed working with Ammy and Hien for our engagement and wedding photos! What drew me was their bright and candid style, but I grew to adore them – Ammy is incredibly warm and bubbly, and Hien is so sweet and funny. Both are such great hype people, too, to ensure you're comfortable and feeling good during any photo shoot! We were nervous during our engagement shoot, but the nerves quickly melted away with how they eased us into poses and complimented us. During our wedding, they were cool, calm, collected, and so sweet throughout with us and our loved ones. They were considerate to check in with us on how we were doing, and if there were other shots or groups we wanted photos with. Throughout the day, they were so smooth as they navigated our venue and guests. I highly recommend them and would love to work with them again! -

Our Filipinana Engagement Photoshoot!
We’ve been so lucky to have Ammy and Hien not only take our photos once but TWICE. Each time was such a fun experience, from how they paid attention to the little details for us like taking my hair tie off my wrist and making sure my hair was in place for different positions to modeling poses for us! We were worried about being comfortable with the camera on us, but it felt seamless in minutes due to Ammy and Hien’s fun and artistic nature.
In less than 12 hours they shared with us our sneak peak pictures and we were BLOWN away at how beautiful they were. Their photos are timeless and they made it so easy to be able to share with family and friends. I HIGHLY recommend A&H Photos for any of your photo needs. The sweetest couple who together get you at multiple angles- including our cute doggie! Check them out.
