If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! By the time they started playing, the dance floor never emptied. They kept the energy up all night, and everyone was out there dancing.
One of the biggest compliments of the night was how many guests came up to us asking, "Who is this band?!" They were that good. Their talent, stage presence, and ability to read the crowd made our reception unforgettable. They truly made the party, and our guests are still talking about them.
If you're looking for a wedding band that will keep the dance floor packed and make your reception one everyone remembers, look no further. They were absolutely amazing, and hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! -

Seriously cannot recommend enough!! After 8 is a BLAST!!! Our guest actually refused to get off the dance floor!!! This band is FABULOUS to work with prior to wedding day, AND they DELIVER on expectations on wedding day!!After 8 Band's reply:

The literal best band that you could have at your wedding. When I tell you they were amazing. They were incredible. I got so many compliments from friends and family that this was the best band they have ever seen at a wedding. By the time the night was over, our guest were chanting "ENCORE"! I wish we would've booked them for another hour. They were amazing at playing and singing. Their energy was incredible. I want to have another wedding just to hire After 8 Band again. I spoke to Russ about what songs I did want and didn't want and he curated it perfectly to where every single guest had songs that they knew and loved no matter what age! My grandpa who can barely walk and is in a wheelchair was standing up to dance and sing because he loved the music so much. You will not be disappointed if you use After 8 Band at whatever event you are planning! They were amazing about communicating and hearing my preferences before the event and they were amazing and made me (the bride) feel like a freaking queen! Thank you guys so much. We continue to get texts saying how amazing our wedding was and how incredible the band was! It was the best night of our lives and yall helped make that happen! We are so grateful!! HIRE THIS BAND!!!! -

After8 was truly the highlight of our wedding! They delivered an incredible performance that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the band’s talent, energy, and how much fun they brought to the evening.
As two musicians from San Francisco getting married in New Orleans, we had a few unique logistics to navigate, but the After8 team made everything seamless. Working with Russ throughout the planning process was wonderful. He was responsive, helpful, and always quick to find solutions if any issues came up. The band was so accommodating and flexible, learning a couple of new songs for our reception and even allowing me and my band to borrow their instruments so I could perform an original song I wrote for my husband. They also learned our first dance song, which turned out absolutely beautiful. Brandon did an amazing job singing it, and the rest of the band played it flawlessly. To top it all off, they even backed my husband and me on another song we wanted to perform together (without any rehearsal!), and it ended up being a total hit.
After8 made our night truly unforgettable, and we can’t recommend them highly enough!!! -

Best. Night. Ever!
Honestly, the best band ever!!! Worth every single penny! Everyone was dancing and having a great time. I loved how they played different music genres and choreographed with the songs! My husband and I got on stage and danced and sang with the band.
I am so happy with how the way my reception turned out. Could not have asked for a better night!! Thank you After 8!!!!!!!!!! -

We were so lucky to have been able to hire After8 for our wedding in Lafayette, LA in Oct 2023. They completely elevated our wedding reception! I wanted a band that would be able to engage with the crowd, 'read the room', and keep the party alive for all ages that were in attendance, and they absolutely did that. Some feedback from my guests - "where did you find these guys?!" and "They were amazing and so much fun!" Additionally, their pricing compared to other bands in the Lafayette/Baton Rouge/New Orleans area was VERY comparable and reasonable. I worked with Russ throughout the process and he was helpful, professional, and acted like a true partner ensuring that my vision / goals were achieved, while also providing his professional opinion and feedback (which I 1000% appreciated and welcomed). I strongly suggest booking After8 for your big event - they will not disappoint! -

Absolutely amazing. My husband and I were very picky with what band we wanted and we had a budget. This band is amazing for the price. They played all of the songs we requested from their song list before the big day. They were interactive with our guests. They learned 2 new songs for us. We got tons of compliments on how great they were. They were a great MC for the night too, and didn’t miss a beat. Couldn't be happier! -

Cannot say enough to praise these guys. Everyone and I mean everyone commented on how great the band was. They kept everyone dancing all night and made all my wedding dreams come true from my walk down the aisle to counting us down at midnight. Absolutely amazing band! -

Such an amazing band! After8 truly made our wedding night so much fun. They played a variety of music that had the dance floor consistently full. They had such great energy and interacted with the crowd. They even let us sing on stage for a bit! They are extremely nice, professional, and accommodating. I can't recommend After8 more highly. Such a blast! Hands down the best decision we made! -

Due to the pandemic we had to delay our wedding several times and the folks at After 8 were more than accommodating. Also, we asked if I, the groom, could sing a few songs and they were more than gracious and allowed us to do so. Talent-wise the folks are top notch able to play pretty much any wedding song you need and were also able to help with the ceremony also. Overall a great group of people with the talent to boot. Highly recommend! -

Having attended several weddings, I can confirm that one of the biggest decisions that can make or break a wedding for guests is the band. That's why my husband and I knew we had to have After 8 play at our wedding after seeing them perform at a friend's wedding. And they did not disappoint. We had several guests tell us that After 8 was not only the best wedding band they have ever seen, but one of the best performing bands they have seen in general. We are forever grateful that After 8 made our wedding so memorable for us and our guests. -

They are fun, talented, get the crowd going, and chose great songs. We never stopped dancing while they were playing. All fun upbeat song choices too. If you want a talented singer with lots of horn action this is your band. -

After 8 was one of the first vendors we booked for our daughters wedding after being referred by a longtime family friend. Made the planning process effortless. They were the primary focus of the wedding reception. The entire wedding party & guests thoroughly enjoyed them. They kept the energy level high and engaged with all. I hope to use them again soon and follow their career as well. They are as close to perfect as you can get. THANK YOU AFTER 8 for making our daughters wedding so memorable and fun. AFTER 8 ROCKED OUR DAUGHTERS WEDDING! Best decision ever. -

Our guests cannot stop raving about After 8!
Amazing is an understatement when it comes to After 8! They kept the energy up all night long and had EVERYONE on the dance floor until the very last song of the night. People were surprised we were leaving and did not want the night to end! I may be biased, since it was my own wedding, but I have never been to a more fun reception with a more fun band. They were so easy to work with throughout the planning process and made sure we had the best night of our lives. We cannot recommend After 8 enough! -

One of the best decisions we made was having After 8 perform at our wedding! The entire band really takes it to the next level! They literally can play/sing anything and will be the hit of your wedding! Literally everyone enjoyed them as much as we did! It truly makes a difference when you can tell they actually enjoy what they do! You will not go wrong picking this group! Worth every penny! Love them! Let’s do it again shall we!? -

After 8 delivered on ALL points and BEYOND for our wedding, including the secret handing of a guitar to me for a surprise song I wrote to sing to my bride, Kayla, during our vows. All executed very smoothly. During our reception, they provided an excellent variety of music for all ages to enjoy and performed the songs with very high quality, and our families and friends were dancing happily all night. It was a truly magical evening and we would recommend After 8 as our first choice to anyone needing a wedding band. Thanks so much, y’all!
