With full-time jobs and hectic lives, we needed a full-service wedding planner and a seasoned professional. Knowing that this was going to be one of the most important days in our lives, we did a lot of homework and interviewed several planners. In addition to experience and strong references, the single most important factor to us was chemistry. Warm and genuinely caring, we connected with Carisa from the start and knew we didn’t want to entrust our wedding to anyone else.
The other factors we considered: 1) clear, reliable communication skills - including the ability to listen and really understand our vision and intention for the event; 2) strong organizational skills and follow-through; 3) established relationships with the best vendors; 4) clear design inspiration and passion; and 5) a game-day MVP who calmly directs the show behind the scenes and makes everything run smoothly.
Carisa delivered on every criteria, and, in fact, exceeded our high expectations. It has now been over a year since our special day, and we still get compliments from our guests who tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! The whole experience was truly joyous and magical, and Carisa and the entire Adornment Events team were essential in making our dream a reality. The financial investment in hiring Carisa and her A-team to seamlessly orchestrate our big day was worth every penny, and we could not have done it without them.

Incredible Event Team in Portland Oregon!
When my daughter got engaged, my friends all advised me to hire a wedding planner. This, by the way, is the best advice ever! We checked our options in the Portland area and Carisa Smith of Adornment Events matched our criteria. Carisa came highly recommended from a longtime friend who had used Carisa extensively for events.
Carisa Smith and Adornment Events are fantastic! They helped us with the initial stages of the wedding planning, including a 75 person engagement party held in our home. Carisa Smith has invaluable connections to the best vendors. She is respected and well liked in the event community. She took our vision and executed it flawlessly from start to finish. Her team at Adornment Events are professionals who can take a plan and deliver it to the highest expectations.
As the type “A” Mom of a type “A” bride—Carisa mitigated the stress. The day of the wedding came and I could just enjoy the day. It was the perfect day. In fact, my daughter thanked me at the end of the night saying it was the “most perfect day”. It doesn’t get better than that.

Carisa & team were great to work with! I had found adornment Events on the knot as a suggested vendor. I reached out to my venue to see if they had worked with them before, they had and had really great things to say about them! So i reached out to adornment and set up a video call. Carisa was great, she is very kind, patient and really seemed excited about what she does! Leading up to my wedding she was always very timely with her responses back & very helpful. She made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with, even though I know she was very busy! My wedding day went very smoothly, despite it raining and having to move the outdoor reception mostly indoors, Carisa and her team did a great job! I could not have done it without them, they made my day perfect!

Best wedding decision!
The best decision by far we made for our wedding was to have Carisa and Adornment Events! We had no idea where to start a year out from the wedding date, but Carisa held our hands the entire way. She seamlessly planned a 2 day wedding celebration and then executed it to perfection. We felt absolutely no stress about the details leading up to and on our big day and that is truly priceless. 11/10 Experience!
Coming up with the words to describe what an amazing experience my partner and I had with Carisa and her team is truly difficult. I worked with Carisa for an entire year planning three large out of town events at Coopers Hall, CH Northeast, and Amaterra Winery. From negotiating with venues, vendor referrals, to bringing a vision to life, directing us to things we never would have thought of, sticking with our budget, and providing relief to my anxious personality-Saying Carisa went above and beyond is a gross understatement!!
Adornment events made our entire experience flawless and on the actual event days, even when things went wrong- we never knew because her team handled everything from point A to point Z. They made it so we could focus on celebrating and be completely present with our loved ones!
It’s been almost a month since our wedding and I’m still receiving calls from guests regarding how flawless and beautiful our events were.
I would rate Adornment more than 5 stars if it were possible- 11/10 experience all around. Run don’t walk.

I absolutely LOVED working Carisa and her team at Adornment! They were able to tailor their services specific to our needs for our wedding and Carisa is an OH in this area and knows everyone, she had the best connections and really made the planning process stress-free! Our destination wedding in Oregon was everything and more than we could’ve asked for. Carisa is nothing short of amazing! Carisa and her team of rockstars at Adornment Events are so incredible. During our first phone call with Carisa, I could tell how much she cared about providing fantastic wedding day experiences for her couples, and how detail oriented she is. Throughout all of the planning process she was beyond helpful and was truly a joy to work with. She answered all of my (many) questions with positivity and enthusiasm as if we were the #1 thing on her mind.
When planning a wedding you have so many vendors that come together to create your special day. Carisa and her team were the glue that brought our entire vendor team together. Having her manage the communication across the vendor team and work behind the scenes to make sure everything was set up according to plan was amazing. Having worked in the event industry in the past, I knew that inevitably there would be some curveballs thrown at us during wedding week/day. Carisa handled these curveballs with grace and a "get it done" attitude.
I HIGHLY recommend Carisa and the entire team at Adornment Events. It was a joy to work with them while planning our wedding and we are so thankful for their hard work making our dream day a reality.

We all know trying to plan a wedding is quite a daunting task. I was a little overwhelmed when I started the journey, but overall so glad I was able to connect with incredible vendors. I would have hired Carisa and her team for full planning if I could. It wasn't in our budget due to life and the pandemic. But, so happy we hired them as our partial planning team. Carisa and team were great coordinators for our wedding. We had so many back and forth changes with covid, venue, guest count, etc. - even up to the morning of, and they were flexible and made it come together so seamlessly! As someone who is very type-A, I felt really relaxed. Truly, I did not worry about anything... Carisa gave me the right amount of updates but also allowed us our space to be in the moment and just enjoy the day as we were getting ready. They were so creative with last minute locations for our guest book, neon sign, re-purpose of florals, etc. etc.

Carisa and her team were amazing to work with. When I first began planning I though I could handle everything on my own and quickly learned that having someone to help was a must. I was trying to plan a small elopement from out of state and was becoming overwhelmed not only with all the choices but the constant changes with all the covid regulations. It was great to find someone in the area that was so knowledgeable and able to help me every step of the way. I changed my mind a millon times, went back and forth between options multiple times and Carisa was so understanding and patient the entire time. The perfect wedding!
It was the perfect wedding and weekend. Adornment Events with Carisa and Kelsey made it all come together so magically for my daughter’s wedding. I cannot speak any more highly of Carisa and the Adornment Events team. When I say our wedding day was executed with no problems - I truly mean it! We had the most perfect day, and absolutely everything was taken care of by the adornment team. Not a singular thing went wrong (much to my amazement). The Adornment team was so supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process and helped make my new husband and I's dream wedding a reality - going above and beyond to help me stay within my budget while focusing on intentional and impactful design decisions. I wish I could do it all over again just to have more time to hang out with the adornment team and their vendors! If you are questioning getting a wedding planner take this review as a sign that you need to hire Carisa and her team right away! We were a couple who got engaged at the height of COVID and decided to plan when everything was locked down. Because we weren't able to visit venues or talk to vendors face to face, we had to put our complete trust in Carisa to take our multiple wishes and thoughts into a real life plan. She and her team went ABOVE and beyond. They recommended high quality vendors who matched our needs (their partner DJ- Josh knew how to read the room perfectly to keep the party going). They anticipated questions we did not know to ask. Carisa and her team created multiple plans because the COVID restrictions evolved day by day, putting our nerves and worries at ease that no matter what happened they would make the day magical. Our day was so magical and there is no way we would have been able to put together such an organized and stress free day without her help

Carisa and her team pulled off my dream wedding amidst changing COVID restrictions! Throughout the whole process of planning I felt heard and knew that they were working hard to give us everything we needed. We had searched and searched for a violin trio, Carisa found one in a week, on the island, under budget! They work quietly behind the scenes and are fabulous to engage with, work alongside and collaborate with. Carissa and her team are AMAZING. We were going back and forth about hiring a day of coordinator and I am so glad we did. Before the event we had a meeting with Carissa and she helped us finalize our to-do list and made it clear what she was taking over on the day of. Leading up to the event she was super responsive and helped calm all of my last minute nerves about things going well.
On the day of she and her team were a dream. They made sure everything was set up exactly the way we wanted it and all I had to do was let her know about something and it happened. She also helped solve problems such as running out of wine, losing a keg, and whatever else may have happened that I don't know about because she is that good. I am so thankful that we hired Adornment events for our wedding. They truly allowed us to fully enjoy each other and all of our guests.

Wonderful balance of expertise and what we wanted
We loved looking with Adornment Events! We met with a bunch of planners... We were planning on doing most of the lifting on our own, but to have a DOC and a little extra help for anything misc. that needed a help in the final stretch. A lot of the companies we met with were pushy about their vision of our day, what THEY thought would work best, or weren't very excited about some of the more alternative things we wanted to do. Adornment listened to us, saw our vision, and helped us build the day WE wanted - while using their expertise to make sure it would work perfectly! They had great recommendations, but also worked wonderfully with any vendors we chose that were new to them. We loved this team! They were so fun to work with, everyone was very kind and funny - and they ran the day itself PERFECTLY! I'm so grateful for the Adornment team! They really found the prefect balance of fun, professional, expert, and open-mined! Even though we did a lot of work, I know the day itself wouldn't have been nearly as care free and enjoyable without them by our sides! We planned a wedding at an Oregon winery from our home in New York City. We would never have been able to pull it off without Carisa’s support and attention to detail. Carisa took the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted (and didn’t want!). She gave us advice on vendors and guided us through all the little decisions we needed to make. The number of options can be really intimidating. Just watching Carisa calmly assemble a table setting and explaining the different options really put us at ease.
She was also a life saver working with our venue. They had a bunch of rules and restrictions on when we could arrive and how long we could go. Carisa carefully read the contract and fought for us.
On the day of, we couldn’t have asked for a more calming presence. Carisa and her team were on top of the schedule, the arrivals, the food. We felt like everything was in control so we could focus on what mattered - each other.

Hiring a coordinator wasn't in our original plan, but I can't imagine how we could have done it with out Carisa and team!
Carisa and her team we instrumental in keeping my wedding day perfect! My now Husband and I originally weren't considering a wedding coordinator, but as we got closer to our big day we realized that we couldn't do it alone. After meeting with four other Portland event companies, We found Carisa at Adornment Events and scheduled a meeting to discuss her month-of-coordinator package. it was PERFECT. We had already done all of the big stuff on our own - all vendors contracted, wedding invites sent out and even my dress was ready. So we were simply looking for someone to help us tie everything together and be the point of contact for our vendors the day of. Carisa and her team went well beyond that! She took control of all of our contracts and coordinated with every single vendor so no one was out of the loop on the day's timeline. Carisa was always responsive to my emails - even if I nervously messaged her 3 times in a row with another forgotten question. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I know that the Adornment Events team played a very large role in that! If anything went wrong that day, I had absolutely no idea of it and that's exactly how it should be.

A must-have!
We had a small wedding up at Silcox Hut on Timberline, and while we handled pre-wedding stuff alright, Carisa and Molly were a must-have for day-of and I highly encourage the investment! They went the extra mile with finding rogue runners and supplying fun lighting elements, and were super friendly to all of our guests.

When I decided to have a destination wedding, I was every nervous because I wouldn't be able to be present for most of the planning and would have to rely on someone else. I selected Carisa because I was immediately impressed with her fast response. She really did a good job of making me feel present. I told her my wedding ideas, and she worked hard to bring them life. She was very responsive, detailed and even when I started to get close to the date and was freaking out she kept me calm. Carisa left no stone un-turned. She even found me a makeup artist at the last minute, when mines didn't work out. All of my guest was so impressed with our wedding, from the ceremony venue, the reception venue and the bus tour of Portland. If you want a wedding planner, who listens to and executes your ideas perfectly then Carisa is the women for the job. I highly recommend her services.

Carisa and her team were awesome to work with. I truly don’t know how all the personal touches of our wedding would have gotten done without them. She was there to answer questions and was the perfect point person for all concerns and questions that arose throughout the day. While I am sure there were small issues that came up, I didn’t hear about a single one because the Adornment team was able to handle everything for me so I could fully enjoy our special day. I would highly recommend to any bride that they spend the money on a planner, and I would definitely suggest the Adornment team. Beyond Expectation
It’s evident from the first minute we met Carisa and her team that they are passionate about what they do. We hired Adornment Events for ‘day of’ coordination and we are beyond thankful for how involved her team was. We ended up hiring her recommended vendors (Aralani Photography, Atelier Pictures & Amanda Karam Floral) which resulted in a true ‘dream team’. It was wonderful to see how they all worked seamless together to execute the vision for our wedding. We also ended up hiring Carisa’s team to help with design (signage, table settings, etc.) which resulted in a beautiful, tasteful, elegant setting that blew our guests away and was better than anything we could have put together ourselves. My husband and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Carisa’s team but it is Carisa herself that holds a special place in my heart. Her professionalism, eye for design, intuition and warmth are a rare combination and I feel so blessed to have had her by my side on one of the most important days of my life.

Best Day of Coordinator!
We knew from our first call with Carisa that she was going to be absolutely phenomenal as a Day of Coordinator. In our phone call, she asked My fiancé what he was one thing he most wanted from our wedding - no other coordinator we interviewed asked him about his wishes. We knew from then that Carisa and her team would be perfect for us.
In the few months leading up to our wedding, we kept in touch via email and when we had our 30 day planning call, she was able to create a timeline on the spot, which allowed me to stay sane as I finalized the other details. The week leading up to the wedding, Carisa and her team made sure they had all the vendor contacts and details they needed to make the day go smoothly. We never once heard from Carisa or her team on the day of our wedding until we arrived at the venue, which was set up beyond my wildest dreams. Her team was able to take my vision and recreate it better than I could have imagined. Carisa, Molly and Cheryl were beyond professional working with us, our family and friends, and our vendors and are so much fun to work with. Not once did they come to us with any issues that may have arisen, and know how to have a good time, providing me with a crown and flowers to walk out with. Even when I became a bit anxious right before the ceremony, Carisa was able to take time out of her duties to talk with me and reassure me that everything would be perfect.
I cannot recommend Adornment Events enough; they are by far the best!

Okay so *I'm* skeptical when I see 5 star reviews for wedding/event planners too: "Okay, which friend did they recruit to write this?" But no: Adornment Events was recommended to me by a friend who had nothing but great things to say, and from our first meeting, Carisa exceeded all my expectations. I was planning a fundraiser that was going to be modeled after a wedding, and Carisa and the Adornment team thought of things I hadn't, anticipated problems and solved them before they even happened, and communicated with me exactly how and how often I wanted to be updated. She and the team also changed gears quickly when I asked for a couple changes, and when the wedding was threatened by a snowstorm, she and the team were committed to getting to the location whether the event ended up happening or not (the snowstorm didn't happen, and the event was a huge success!). Additionally, the vendors that she partners with are top-notch and I know I wouldn't have found them on my own. Haha, writing this review makes me want to have another event just so I can work with Carisa and the Adornment team again.

Adornment did a great job with our day of planning. They were super responsive leading up to the wedding and constantly answered a ton of questions we had. It is so crazy how many little things come up in the planning process that you would never think of. When it came to the day of having the team to set up and break down was so great. We literally just got to show up and it was perfect. They conducted all of the timing and made sure everything ran smoothly so my husband and I could just be present and enjoy our friends and family. Their day of coordination was hands down money well spent. The wedding goes by so quickly and having a team to help you in the process is super valuable so you can focus on making memories instead. Shout out to Mollie she got more then her 10,000 steps in that day :)

Wonderful Experience!
Our son was married on Sept 1 in Portland. It was a destination wedding for them, and I was honored to plan the local arrangements. I was told that the most valuable person to hire was the "day of" planner. That turned out to be absolutely true. I hired Adornment Events and they were just great. From the 6 month time line to the day of the wedding, they were wonderful to work with, very professional and they had great ideas and were very helpful in terms of planning the day. Mollie attended the Rehearsal and the day of the wedding, Mollie and her team were on fire. Those girls were on the go the whole time. Everything went off very smoothly and in a timely manner. They were wonderful to work with and I can highly recommend Adornment Events if you are planning a wedding.

Adornment was absolutely the best money I spent towards my wedding. I am someone who is very organized, and did not think I had any need for a planner, but their day-of (realistically month-of) services was truly priceless. Their expertise of event flow, and scheduling kept our day perfectly on-track, and having a whole team contacting vendors, directing guests, setting-up and tearing down allowed me, my bridal party, and family to all be relaxed and truly enjoy the big day. Not to mention, all the adornment ladies are SO fun and wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We had a little under 100 people on our guest list and hired Adornment for our day of event coordinator. From the very first phone call with Carissa, she made us feel at ease with her warm and enthusiastic demeanor. Throughout the planning process she helped with decor, vendor lists and answered all of our questions to make sure we were going in the right direction. We ended up also using Josh, their in-house DJ, and couldn't have been more pleased. When wedding day came around, Yaddira and Molly went to bat for us. They helped arrange family pictures to keep everything on time, and during our event had to scramble to help with spur of the moment issues. Huge shout out to Molly for running to her house and letting us use her chairs with arms for our Hora when our venue wouldn't let us use theirs. You made our night!

Without a doubt, Carisa and her team were the best thing that we invested in for our wedding! We booked the day-of package, which included a rehearsal practice, a meeting well in advance to work out details, a timeline and access to their event supplies.
They made this special day flow so smoothly and made sure we were taken care of. Our wedding was Harry Potter themed and Carisa embraced it without a second thought. There were tons of small details in the wedding that went with the theme and the team went out of their way to make sure what we envisioned came to life. They made sure everything was cleaned up and packed away by the time we had to leave the venue so we could focus on dancing til the last minute and celebrate stress free.
Carisa has such an amazing and bubbly personality that you immediately feel comfortable with her, but she also is very dedicated in making your day perfect that you can trust that she'll get things done. Carisa and her team are AMAZING!!! I knew that living in Alaska and planning a wedding in Portland was going to be a challenge, so I needed help. Thanks to Carisa and her wonderful team my wedding day was everything I had hoped for and so much more. They were all very professional, detail oriented, and extremely sweet! They made sure that all of the events of the day occurred seamlessly and stayed with us throughout the entire day ensuring that we enjoyed our big day stress free.
We also hired the Adornment DJ, and he was wonderful! He was very professional and had a great selection of music. Our guests were on the dance floor until the very end of the night, and many of them expressed to me that they didn’t want the night to end yet because they were having so much fun!
I highly recommend Adornment Events - they will go above and beyond for you to ensure that your big day will be the best day ever! :)

Thank you and your team for making our difficult wedding a dream. The two of us were hitched over a weekend that involved no vehicle access. Luckily adornment was there to help ease us throughout the entire process and we couldn't have been any happier with the results. The Adornement team went above and beyond my expectations. My husband and I had such a unique wedding idea, and we knew we needed someone to help us though all the ins and outs of the process. The communication, the flexibility, and the professionalism throughout the entire process made me confident that I had picked the right team to coordinate our big day.
From the beginning, Carissa and her team made me feel comfortable and confident about my ideas, and the things I wanted for my wedding. They helped me come up with a plan and a timeline, and helped me stay on track. The team communicated with me often, and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The end product of it all was simply amazing. These gals exceeded everything I was expecting. My husband and I were both in awe of how well the Adornment team put everything together.

For a backyard wedding, which I planned myself, it was absolutely essential to have a coordinator to bring everything together and take the work out of mine and my mother's hands on the day of the event. The value they brought to the planning process was undeniable. We signed up for the "month prior" plan and she was able to help us through the process of picking our rental vendor, a DJ and briefing all of our other chosen vendors prior to the event. It has been almost a year since the wedding and guests who attended still say it was the best wedding they have ever been too. Thank you Adornment Events!

From the first phone meeting I knew I wanted to go with adornment Events as my wedding coordinators. As someone living out of state I needed a group of professionals that were knowledgeable and dependable on top of being extremely creative. There was no better choice than adornment. My day of coordinator Bria was exceptional! My entire bridal party and family was in awe of her ability to be in command and yet stay so pleasant and positive. I am "a little" type A and I don't think I could've trusted anyone more with ensuring the day went smoothly as Bria. To this day there are things I wasn't aware of because they made sure my special ran smoothly and without complications. Hiring adornment was by far one of the best decisions I made regarding wedding planning!

Carisa organized all my vendors, planned everything AND made sure the day went so smoothly. My wedding was GORGEOUS thanks to her. Originally, my husband and I decided we didn’t need anyone to help plan or set up for our wedding since we had already done most of the initial planning ourselves. The closer it got to our wedding the more we realized that we didn’t want our families to have to worry about anything before or after our wedding. That’s when we found Adornment Events and it was SO unbelievably worth every penny! Carisa was amazing to work with and she got all the details down during the initial meeting. It took a huge weight off my shoulders that I didn’t even realize was really there! On the day of our wedding she had a timeline developed and stuck to it as well as making sure everybody else did too. I never would have known when to do certain things had it not been for her expertise. Her team dealt with the vendors and assisted with the set up of the venue as well as the clean up. They also helped set up all of the décor, which all looked amazing! She even surprised us gold chargers on our tables that tied the entire reception area together so perfectly! Carisa and her team made our day flow so smoothly; it was just exactly what we needed. I highly recommend Adornment Events to every bride!

I can't say enough good things about Carisa and Adornment Events!! She is not only one of the sweetest people we've ever met but she's also the best wedding planner we could have asked for! From the phone call when my husband and I first met her, we knew she would be the perfect planner for us because she was so warm, friendly, and immediately understood what we wanted our wedding day to look like. She is so busy (it's no surprise she's in such high demand with what a fabulous job she does) but she was so attentive at every in-person meeting and made us feel relaxed and excited that our wedding would turn out perfectly.
She was a total rock star throughout our entire planning process. We had the full planning package with Adornment Events and are so happy we did! She had fantastic recommendations and great contacts with vendors (who all had glowing reviews of their experiences with her). She was at almost all of our vendor meetings and was there for our rehearsal at the Oregon Golf Club. She even worked with my mother-in-law to help her plan the rehearsal dinner, which turned out amazingly. On the wedding day, she made sure everything went smoothly and that our day went off without a hitch. It was so wonderful having her and her team there because my husband and I, as well as our family and friends, got to fully enjoy the day instead of worrying about anything going wrong.
Our wedding was absolutely the best day of our lives and Carisa was a huge part of that. We are so thankful for her and would recommend her to everyone! :)

Carisa and the Adornment team were crucial to our wedding day! We used Adornment for the day of package. However, this included more – meetings prior, timeline, discounts from preferred vendors, quick replies, rehearsal practice and everything to make the day of smooth. The team made sure they had all of the vendor contacts to communicate with them, this was amazing because nobody who was part of the wedding had to stress or deal with vendor communication on the day of. They set-up everything for the ceremony and reception. The team made sure to keep the timeline moving in a graceful manor. She and her team were outgoing, positive and professional, they always had smiles on their faces. I must say they were amazing at making sure everything was cleaned up and brought to our rooms the night of the wedding! We were left stress free and fully enjoying the ceremony and reception and the entire day! I am thankful to have used Carisa and her Adornment team for our wedding! If anything went wrong or had a hiccup I still to this day have NO idea, that’s the way it should be! I HIGHLY recommend Adornment to anyone looking for any type of planning/coordinating!

Having Carisa as my planner was the absolute best decision I've made for my wedding. I just had my wedding a couple of days ago, and I'm still having friends telling me how much they like my wedding and how smooth everything went through. Both me and my fiance was not from the United States and non of us know how US wedding works. Carisa was able to guide us through step by step and found us the best vendor to meet our needs. Carisa was able to immediately understand what I like and what I don't like, and every appointment we had was full of joy and fun! Carisa was so easy to get along with everybody, even my parents, who don't speak English at all, like her a lot! I'm the type of person that would easily get anxious on almost everything, and having Carisa by my side made me feel so relax and comfortable! I have the confident that she and her girls have solutions to all problems I have. On the day-of, Carisa and her girls showed up on time and they look really professional! The team at Adornment Events was such a pleasure to work with! We booked Adornment Events for day-of coordination about a year before our wedding. Carisa was responsive to emails leading up to the wedding and checked in with me to make sure I was making progress on my own (since we didn't hire her for any other services besides day-of). About a month prior to the wedding, I met with Carisa and the lead coordinator for our wedding and went over every little detail for the wedding and it made me feel so sure everything would run smoothly on our wedding day. The day before the wedding, we did the rehearsal with the lead coordinator, Sonia and she was very organized and able to handle the 25+ adults/kids we had to get down the aisle. The lead coordinator and two assistants were really helpful and friendly on our wedding day! They set up everything so that no one in the bridal party or family/friends had to do the work! We truly got to enjoy the day. We had two decorative vases that somehow broke during transport, but Sonia calmly approached me to tell me and reassured me it would be ok. Sonia was able to put the flowers from the broken vase into some vases that Adornment Event had brought along just in case! Adornment Events is seriously able to handle any situation with professionalism. One of the best choices we made for our wedding was hiring Adornment Events. I highly recommend them!

If you are contemplating a wedding planner, look no more! You have found the best company in Portland. We cannot say enough about Carisa and the team at Adornments.
We met Carisa at a wedding show at Bridgeport Village. We immediately felt comfortable with her style, her charisma and her knowledge about weddings. That day my daughter told me she wanted to marry the love of her life in my front yard. I could not believe it! I was in total shock and had no idea how we could make this happen. It was super important to me that my daughter’s special day was the best it possibly could be. My daughter also told me she wanted me to be by her side on the day of the wedding, she didn’t want me to be working at all. We all agreed that if the wedding was going to be in our front yard we would have to have a wedding planner.
We hired Adornments and opted for the Partial Planning package. My daughter had a very specific vision for her wedding and we met with Carisa several times to organize and plan the big day. On the day of the wedding the wedding party spent the morning getting ready at the Nines. After wedding photos around town we showed up at our home to find that Carisa and her team had completely transformed our home into my daughter and her husband’s dream wedding. It was so beautiful and exactly as we had envisioned it. Our guests had so much fun and said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. May daughter said it was the best day of her life. It doesn’t get any better than that. Hire adornments today!

If you only read this first sentence, just know that Carisa and the team at Adornment Events are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them for your wedding (or any other event).
We had a crazy task ahead of us to transform a public park from a farmers market to an elegant and sustainable outdoor wedding for 130 guests in ONE AND A HALF HOURS. From the beginning Carisa was my ally and helped to navigate the convoluted wedding industry to help me find the best vendors that were a match for my taste and budget. It was really important to my husband and I that our event be as waste-free as possible. Yet, we also wanted an elegant but casual wedding that was fun-filled and pretty. Carisa led me to vendors that I never would have found on my own and were absolutely perfect. And I have very discerning taste (but don’t want to pay through the roof!).
Carisa was always available to offer advice, listen to concerns, ease worries, and develop a beautiful wedding. I truly cannot imagine planning a wedding without Adornment Events. What was absolute insanity (that 1.5 hour setup time), was executed absolutely perfectly. Carisa and the team produced our sustainable, elegant, food truck wedding and it was amazing. The wedding was beautiful and everything went off without an issue (at least from what I could see!). We had guests telling us it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and naturally, it was absolutely perfect for my husband and I.
Adornment Events excels at event planning and I would highly recommend them. I hope I get the opportunity to work with them again!

We recently got married in Portland, OR, and went back and forth about whether or not to have a day-of coordinator. We had done the planning ourselves throughout our year and a half engagement, so we knew we had time to fine tune details as our day got closer. I started to get nervous as I realized all the small things couples have to do to make their day go off without a hitch. I was given Carisa's information by the Banquet Manager of our venue and I immediately reached out to her. After more back and forth, we finally decided to have Carisa as our day-of coordinator and it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire planning process. I met with Carisa one month before our wedding and she was so genuinely kind, charismatic, funny, and most of all, knowledgeable. She mentioned things I hadn't even thought of before and after I left our meeting I felt so much more better about how our day would go. It didn't take but a few minutes to see the level of experience she has in event planning! She nailed every part of the rehearsal and day-of process like a professional (because she is one) and we were/are so thankful for her. Meeting her and being able to work with her, if only for a short time, was absolutely wonderful, and looking back I can't imagine not having her there to help! Our wedding day was so amazing, from beginning to end, and she made everything so much more relaxed and easy. I highly recommend any newly engaged couples, or couples like my husband and I who were on the fence about having any type of professional help, to hire Carisa for the wedding planning process! My husband and I both work full time jobs that require us to travel a lot and we just didn't have the capacity to do all the detail work for our wedding ourselves. Carisa did a great job listening to me and understanding what it was I wanted. Our wedding day could not have gone any smoother or been any more beautiful. We ended up having an issue last minute and needing to hire security in the week leading up to the wedding and she was even able to make that happen for us last minute. During the planning stages I was on the fence about whether we would need help with day-of coordination -- I am so glad we decided to hire Carisa and her team!! She truly went out of her way to solve any of the concerns I had and go above and beyond. She offered her inventory of decor supplies like votives and shepherd's hooks, which was fantastic and really brought the event together. When we were unsure how to hire support for supervising a kids' room, she asked one of her interns to help us out. She encouraged me to be a little less frazzled on the day of, and true to her word, she made sure everything came together beautifully with many lovely touches of detail. I would definitely recommend Adornment Events for their skill at bringing event ideas to life and easing the headaches of planning!

Carissa and her team at Adornment were so wonderful! I hired them to help with design the wedding, month prior and day of coordination. Having their assistance leading up to my wedding really helped the whole look and feel come together. Day of is where they really shine! They set everything up, manage all of the day-of details and do take-down clean up. I literally did not have a single moment of stress the day of my wedding and that is due in large part to Adornment. Thank you for giving me a seamless day!

After signing up with Carisa Smith of Adornment Events, she took charge immediately, reviewing our current state of the scheduled wedding (what was the overall wedding theme and idea, who were the vendors already appointed etc) and started lining up vendors for the remaining items. Highly professional, very responsive and highly effective in getting things done. She has a good network within the wedding industry vendors in Portland including decor, florists, transportation vendors, equipment rentals, DJ etc. She knows the works to manage a wedding very efficiently. being an outdoor wedding in July, when the probability of rain was forecast to be between 50=65%, she organized backup plans. An outstanding wedding coordinator and I have no hesitation in recommending her. Thank you Carisa for coordinating and executing a fantastic wedding and reception.

Carisa was such a LIFESAVER for our dream wedding! Being a busy, new teacher, planning a wedding was incredibly stressful to try to fit in to my schedule. I was so lucky we found Adornment! Carisa understood my vision and made everything I could have ever wanted a reality. The wedding day was so magical, and she was so helpful to make sure everything was taken care, so we didn't have to stress about anything! You can so easily tell that Carisa was born to do this, her energy and love for her job is so apparent when you talk to her. If you are on the fence about getting a wedding coordinator, just know that if you go with Adornment, it will be worth EVERY PENNY!

Adornment Events helped make our wedding weekend a success! We got married this past June at Timberline Lodge. Carisa and her team arrived Friday evening to help with the wedding rehearsal and reception and then stayed at the lodge so that they were available all day Saturday finishing with clean up in the wee hours of the morning Sunday. Despite an unexpected snow storm and frequent weather changes, they were flexible in helping to set-up our wedding ceremony outside last minute. They worked with our florist to help make our reception area absolutely beautiful with great attention to detail. Carisa and her team made the day run so smoothly and I never had to worry about a thing. I later learned about a few "glitches" that was never even apparent to me. We were so happy that we hired Adornement Events for day of coordination help and so thankful for their assistance in making our wedding day so spectacular.

Carisa and Yaddira were amazing through the whole planning process and absolutely fantastic the day of the wedding. They were so fun, professional and a joy to work with. It was such a relief to have someone to help handle all of the little details that most people (me) don't know go into a wedding. Before getting married I didn't think an event planner/coordinator was necessary and after getting married I realize that they are absolutely ESSENTIAL. Thank you, ladies!

I can't say enough about Carisa and her team. We were planning a wedding from across the country, and I really wanted a day of coordinator so family and friends could all just relax and enjoy the day. Carisa went above and beyond--making excellent vendor recommendations, helping create a detailed day of timeline, decorating the space the day of (even bringing in a bunch of her own personal decorations to enhance the space) and just generally keeping things flowing smoothly. It was amazing to show up to the venue just a few hours before the ceremony and have everything completely ready to go. She was so flexible coordinating with my completely by email and phone, which I really appreciated. I'd highly recommend Adornment Events.

The best part of the wedding was when my husband turned to me and said "now I fully understand why you needed a wedding coordinator and this is the best money we spent "... :)
My wedding was incredibly stress-free and amazing because I had the Adornment team managing everything. From the moment I hired them, a weight was lifted off my shoulder and it was amazing having them support me with everything! I loved every moment of my wedding because of them. I interviewed five different groups before I chose Adornment and they were by far the most professional and organized group. I love Carisa and her team!!!

I cannot think of a better wedding planner than Carisa. She and her team at Adornments are incredible. My husband and I are two busy young professionals and didn’t have enough time (and energy) to plan our (+150 guests) wedding. We had tons of friends and family flying from different states and countries for a truly multicultural wedding full of multiple languages and cultures. Carisa was incredible from start to finish. She helped us to find the most terrific vendors: flowers, DJ, make up, wedding gown, etc. She also helped us to get a terrific venue for our wedding reception before the big day. I cannot imagine a better wedding planner than her.
The day of the wedding, everything went as planned. I was impressed by her professionalism, and how easy everything was. We enjoy our big day without having to pay attention to anything. Carisa and her team took care that everything went as planned. She was invisible to us and present to everyone who needed her. She and her staff are incredible. My family, as well as several of my friends, flown from Latin America and didn’t speak English. I mentioned this to Carisa, and she worked in our wedding with some of her staff members who are bilingual. They truly made everyone in my family and close friends to feel at home. I couldn’t thank her enough for that. Moreover, she had a truly diverse staff, something that I appreciate and seems to be kind of absent in the wedding industry in Portland.
By the end of our wedding, we were so happy. If you are thinking in hiring a wedding planner, you want Carisa and her team. We had interviews with several wedding planners in Portland, and we chose Carisa. After having worked with her, I would choose her again, and again, and again.

My wife and I are LA transplants and desperately needed someone one who could navigate the PDX wedding market. My wife was referred to Adornment Events by a wedding dress boutique in downtown PDX. Adornment Events’ owner, Carisa, won our trust with her warm personality, intelligence and experience. The real value of Adornment came through the wedding planning process as she advocated for our interest with various vendors, was always on our side while dealing with vendor conflicts, and was always empathetic to our needs. She was resourceful, cost conscious, and never hesitated to be proactive to our needs. On the actual day of the wedding, all of Adornment’s hard work of planning and vision building resulted in a beautiful event that ran like clockwork. All of the vendors that Adornment recommended were professional, on time, and did their job well. Adornment easily worked our photographer even though she was not referred by Adornment. Any gaps were filled by the Adornment team as they stepped up to put on finishing touches, making sure we both stayed calm, and picking up and keeping track of our loose items (cell phone, glasses) because we were both overwhelmed with the event. Yes, they pay attention to the details. But it was not only the operational details, but also the human/emotional details of taking care and being there for their clients. Adornment is in it for the long term. They are not here to make a quick buck or to process a high quantity of clients through w/ minimal effort. They service each client as if they are their only client and their efforts have resulted in Adornment’s great reputation in the PDX wedding industry community. Meeting and working with Carisa was definitely the best part of the wedding planning process ? Thank you for everything.
