Acute Inflections was the cherry on top of our musical wedding entertainment! El and Sadika were wonderful to work with. Their styles and music are indeed one of a kind, and we highly recommend them for any wedding or event. They played during our cocktail hour, and we truly wish we had them perform for longer. Their ability to capture a crowd's attention and blend their jazz style with modern and timeless classics was unparralled and perfect for the diverse ranges of ages and musical tastes. We loved their style, including their stylish outfits and vibrant personalities. El and Sadika really brighten and enliven a room with their performances. Thank you El and Sadika from the bottom of our hearts for adding such great energy and an unforgettable experience to our wedding. -

Acute Inflections was the music of our wedding reception. This was always the plan for our intimate, upstate, wedding. However, when COVID made our wedding even smaller--Acute Inflections was the constant that tied our festivities together. It was so special to have Elasea MC our speeches and the evening (she's just the most delightful) and to have time to get to know both her and Sadiki. They are a funny, dynamic duo with otherworldly talent, humor, and grace. To this day, our people are still telling us that Acute Inflections was the best thing we could have done for our wedding---and we couldn't agree more! -

Caring Vendors in the Time of Covid
My husband and I planned our microwedding in 20 days. I found Acute Inflections by chance and could not have been more happy to have them be a part of our special day. They were caring and understanding which made planning a wedding at the last minute during covid a breeze. I loved that they were truly invested in us having our special day rather than trying to nickel and dime us. I was blown away when we received a recording of three of our songs so we can have for the years to come. I highly recommend Acute Inflections for your wedding day or any special event for that matter as it so hard to find great vendors. Thank you so much for making our day special! -

We first saw Acute Inflections perform when they had a residency at The Four Seasons in NYC and were blown away by their talent. So much so, we decided to work with them for our wedding reception at The Nomad Hotel. We, and our guests were blown away!! They even took the time out to learn music by Queen and P!nk , it was amazing. I can’t recommend them enough. You will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and they are A GORGEOUS couple!!! -

We LOVE Acute Inflections!
We had Acute Inflections play for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they were incredible! We requested a down the aisle song that was not part of their list (All eyes on you - St. Lucia) and they crushed it! They were really great at mixing both the new and old classics with songs like Redbone and I will always love you. The next couple of days after the wedding we got many requests from friends and family for their name/spotify/instagram information. We plan to go see them again when they are back at the Beekman hotel for brunch. Would highly recommend them! -

An elegant touch!
Acute Inflections performed at our wedding cocktail hour and they were absolutely fantastic and an elegant touch to our evening. Our guests raved about the beauty of their sound and their sophisticated look which they tailored to meet the exact vibe we were hoping for. We highly recommend them! -

We hired Acute Inflections to play during our post-wedding brunch at Harry's NYC, and I am not exaggerating when I say that their presence completely made the party. They set the perfect tone, and we still get compliments to this day about how wonderful they were. Not to mention they were an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way. Can't recommend them highly enough!!! -

Initially we hired Acute Inflections’s for our ceremony and later changed our minds and hired them for the entire duration of our wedding, so glad we did!
They were easy to work with and really understood what we was going for. Our guest loved them! -

Words cannot describe how much we loved working with Elasea & Sadiki! They were the last vendor we booked since a jazz duo wasn't a "necessity" but it was the best decision we made for our wedding. They were incredibly easy to work with and very proactive with everything. They learned custom songs for our ceremony to make sure our ceremony vision came to life. Every guest we have talked to since the wedding has talked about the ambiance they created for the ceremony and how emotional it was. They have also mentioned what a treat the cocktail reception was due to their performance. We have even had guests write social media posts about them! Highly recommend including Acute Inflections in your wedding, you will not be disappointed!Read Less

Georgie Sent on 05/19/2018I originally saw Acute Inflections playing at The Times Square hotel and was blown away at just how great they were. I had never heard current music put to jazz before and absolutely loved what they could do. I had recently got engaged and knew that I needed them to play at my dream wedding.
When I reached out to them they immediately asked what my favorite sort of music was and told me that they can tailor their clothing and music to exactly what I wanted for my special day. I was so impressed by them that I chose instead of having them for just the cocktail hour I wanted them there for the entire dinner and for our first dance.
Acute inflections asked in advance what particular song I would like for walking down the aisle and which would we like for our first dance so we could practice our moves before the big day. I found this very helpful and loved listening to their music again as this reminded me of how beautiful they sounded.
On my wedding day I walked down the aisle to ‘I can't help falling in love with you,’ I was nervous but I caught a glimpse of Elasea’s smile which immediately put me at ease. Their version of this song still gives me tingles, they performed it so beautifully that most of my guests had a tear in their eye.
Everyone complimented the music and the connection that Elasea and Sadiki have when they perform is magical.
I highly recommend this duo, they are so incredible and would be perfect for any occasion. -

Rosemarie Sent on 04/29/2018As a Mother of the Bride, one who coordinated a Manhattan wedding from Dallas, I cannot say enough about how formidable, warm, congenial and purely sentimental Acute Inflections were for my daughter's wedding. They captivated every guest, brought incredible touches words cannot explain.. they made songs we all love all their own and is there's a word that perhaps captures them well it would be MESMERIZING. You cannot go wrong in the hire of Acute Inflections. If ever I have a big event in Dallas, this is who I need to travel to Dallas to make the night most memorable.

Brit Sent on 01/18/2018I cannot speak highly enough of this extraordinary duo. They were exceptional in every way: communication, planning, and, of course, their beautiful performance. So many guests stopped to tell me how much they loved Elasea and Sadiki’s performance at our cocktail hour. In fact, one of my friends texted me as soon as we got back from our honeymoon to ask how he could book them for his own wedding. The text he sent me should be all you need to know. It read: “They were amazing. They were epic. We were both like ‘wuuuuuuuuuuuh?!’” Beyond how fabulous their performance is (and it REALLY is!), they are wonderful people who were the easiest vendors I worked with in the planning process. If you’d like to add a classy, unique, sophisticated element to your wedding, they should be at the top of your list!

My wife is an avid music lover and event coordinator. I'm a classically trained musician and also a deejay. Together we own and operate an entertainment & event planning boutique specializing in weddings and other major productions. Needless to say, music is a passion of ours and we knew it was going to play a major role in our wedding. We'd heard AI perform at an industry event and immediately fell in love with their presence and musicality. Sadiki has this smoothness about him. Seriously, he's silky smooth. Like, straight from the Harlem Renaissance smooth. He plays his upright confidently yet in a fashion that doesn't fight Elesea's vocals...his playing and her vocals are in a harmonious relationship. Elasea exudes class and grace from the moment she arrives to the moment she sings her last note. Her vocals, smooth and lustrous. What stood out most to me is that we were treated, not like just another client, but with individuality. During one of our consults we were asked what types of music we like and they took if from there, suggesting songs that would create the mood we were looking. To top it off, they even played traditional Dominican music with a jazzy feel. My family were blown away when they heard these songs being sung in Spanish! What a special touch.
Really and truly, I can't say enough great things about the experience. Book them. Now!
