Best DJ and company in Michigan
My wife and I just got married Saturday July 4th and it was a truly amazing day and night which was 100% due to Joe Fila, Active Entertainment and his staff. This company knows how to make a party a party! I cannot say a single bad thing about the services they provided for our special day, we had his Elite package and it was simply amazing. When we were in the planning process Joe walked us through every detail, things we didn’t even think about that thank god he did! We had to make some last minute decisions and adjustments and Joe made sure it was done and not a single person even knew. I can’t recommend this company enough, there is not another DJ company that I would recommend. Worth every single dollar spent which is affordable anyways.
Joe, thank you for everything! You don’t know how much your appreciated, in my opinion you went above and beyond and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you a million times

I don’t have the right words to express how absolutely amazing Joe Fila, Active Entertainment and his staff are! Our wedding was just July 4, 2026 it was beautiful, magical and amazing and it was 100% that way because of Joe and his bad ass skills! From the start of planning our day all the way up to the day his communication with us, attention to detail, giving us ideas and pointers we never would have thought of was top notch. There is no other dj in this area I would recommend but this one. His prices are affordable and what he brings to the day makes every dollar well spent. We had the elite package and it was phenomenal! We had a rain issue with our ceremony and last minute had to move and adjust to indoors and besides our guests being soaked you would have never known adjustments at the literal last second had to be made because of joe! During the reception we had an issue with my dress and the bustle that took way too long to deal with and instead of our guests sitting their bored wondering what the heck was going on Joe kept the party going like nothing was wrong in the hallway with my dress. I could write 10 pages of how awesome Joe and his company are but no one has time to read all that so trust me and my husband when we say you won’t be sorry hiring him for any of your events. I will also add that Joe checked on me and my husband more times in the night than my husband and maid of honor did! He just is an amazing man and outstanding at what he does. There wasn’t a dull or boring moment, there wasn’t a person not dancing or having fun. Everyone of our guests complimented on how fun our wedding was and what an awesome DJ we had!
To you Joe, we will forever be thankful and grateful for everything you did for us thru the 6 months of planning right up to the big day. Your truly an amazing DJ but most of all you’re an amazing person!

Dj Joe Fila, put one hell of a show on the our firefighters association party! Management wise, he listen to everything I had instructed him to possibly do and did it well. Everything I wanted and More
I worked hand and hand with Joe. He was there to give me his advice on things when it came to timelines or logistic of certain things, and it really helped take some stress off of my shoulders. Joe and his crew took the time out of their day the day before the actual wedding to set up early and run our rehearsal. Which again was amazing and really helped me feel better. On the wedding day there was zero things needed. Everything was taken care of the day before and really created a stress-free environment for the day of. Our wedding was amazing. We had a wedding of 125. Mostly filled with older family that didn't stay long after dinner. However, joe still knocked it out of the park with keeping our closest family out on the dance floor. Would highly recommend.

Joe was fantastic to work with from start to finish, he had everyone on the dance floor from the beginning of the night until the end of it. He helped everything transtion absolutely flawlessly. He played wonderful music, that fit into exactly what we liked as well as, ensuring our guests that the songs requested were very much able to be played as well. He interacted with our families so well and didnt feel out of place whatsoever. His work in making our special day go as envisioned went off without a hitch. We couldn't recommend him enough and we are so glad, blessed and grateful he is the DJ we went with on our special day.

Wonderful DJ!
Joe went above and beyond what I ever expected from a DJ. From the photo booth (which was so much fun) to the dancefloor (that was packed all night long), I couldn't have been happier. Lost my voice for a week. He stayed after and delivered our book of pictures from the booth and sim card personally to the after party. I didn't realize he captured the speeches and first dances and beyond in video! I was so surprised! My husband's favorite part was he even brought us our first drinks! I would 12/10 recommend to anyone planning a fun event.

We had the absolute pleasure of having DJ Joe from Active Entertainment for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! From the very beginning, DJ Joe was professional, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with. He truly took the time to understand the vibe we were going for and delivered beyond expectations.
What stood out the most was how engaging he was throughout the night. DJ Joe kept the energy up from start to finish, reading the crowd perfectly and making sure the dance floor was never empty. The Perfect DJ
I was initially recommended Active Entertainment by one of my coworkers who used them for their wedding. I had a phenomenal experience with Active Entertainment. Everything from meeting with Joe to go over the plan of event events, and music preferences, to the actual reception. Joe met with me one on one and we went over everything that I wanted to do and he recommended. He was also a very quick and efficient communicator prior to the meeting. He made it super easy and I was able to voice all of my opinions. Joe even matched the DJs (Jason and Brad) to the style of music that we were looking for. Also, the paperwork that they give you for song requests is quite easy.
On the day of my wedding, the DJs were very professional. Jason and Brad were amazing and played everything I wished and asked, for. They also were able to read the room and play songs that the crowd was getting hyped up to. As the bride, they played every song I asked for and they played it immediately. They were also very organized. Without them my reception would’ve probably been a disorganized mess. Heck, they even remembered that I wanted to say something before tossing the bouquet and I didn’t. LOL!
Not only were they a great company to work with, but they also were at a very reasonable price. My wedding was at one of their preferred venues and I got a great deal. But even without having a preferred venue deal, they were still very affordable.
I would recommend active entertainment to any person who is looking to find a great DJ for any event. I’ve seen them at the Walleye Festival and at other wedding events and they do an amazing job. Go with Active!!

This DJ Will Make Your Event
It is now a little over a month after my wedding and the number one thing people are still talking about is the DJ. “Where did you find him? He was the life of the party.” I tell you they aren’t kidding, without Joe the day would have been 100x worse (we had no bathrooms). I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Active entertainment for any occasion. Awesome DJ service and more
Joe was phenomenal from the planning stage all the way through the event. He let us set the tone for what we wanted, but also guided us when we were uncertain about particular details.
The day of the event( our wedding) Joe was not only our DJ, he was the Master of Ceremonies. Before the ceremony began he made sure everyone was on their mark and ready to go.
Regarding the reception, he played an appropriate mix of our favorite songs as well as others. He kept the night moving along making sure to keep our guests entertained as well making them feel like “part of the show”. The dance floor was never empty and our guests were never bored.
The production was professional and elegant. Joe had the room light very well, delivering an atmosphere that was beautiful and never too dark. The music was loud enough to envelop the entire room, but not so loud as to drown out conversations.
Joe Fila and Active Entertainment are by far worth your money. You’re guaranteed a satisfactory and memorable experience. 10/10

The Best Wedding Experience!
The level and quality of service Active Entertainment provided was second to none. All of my communications with them were great - they acted with professionalism, gave recommendations and were very knowledgeable on what would work and what wouldn't. I appreciated the communication / coordination they had with my officiant and photographer so there was nothing extra I needed to do the day of. They did an amazing job keeping our guests engaged, laughing and dancing. I trusted them and put my wedding in their hands, and they completely exceeded every expectation. The dance floor was FULL the entire night and all guests were having so much fun that I ended up extending our bar service to keep the party going. Active Entertainment did an amazing job at our wedding. Joe was our dj and our wedding would not have been the same without him. He played all the songs my husband and I requested and kept everyone dancing and the crowd laughing. We had so many people come up to us and said it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding. Joe was also a pleasure to work with and made this entire experience so easy. We rented their Photo Booth which was a huge hit as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better Dj than Joe and his team. Very professional and made sure that everyone was out in the dance floor and enjoying themselves. He got the whole crowd involved and anything that we asked for he played. Our wedding ceremony went perfectly with the music and he used all of the songs we wanted. We used Active Entertainment for our DJ and photo booth for our wedding and it was by far the best decision we made! Joe and his crew made the dance floor so fun that we closed the place down and did not want to leave! I loved the Photo Booth and being able to look at all the photos after the fact (we ended up doing a Congo line and got everyone in the Photo Booth!). Because of having Active Entertainment as our DJ it was by far the best day of my life and I would recommend them to anyone! We have also had many friends and family tell us that was the best wedding they have been to and it was so much fun. If I could do my wedding another time and have Active Entertainment as my DJ again I would!

Everything was great. Joe was professional and helped us to determine what exactly we wanted from our wedding. He suggested fun games and different ways to do them. Honestly, it was a hit! They were very nice, communicated exactly what would be happening and sent me a preview of everything before the wedding!
The DJ was absolutely amazing. Took our favorite types of music into consideration while keeping guests entertained all night and the dance floor packed. Even gave us an awesome costume contest last minute since we had a Halloween wedding. Would recommend again and again!

Best DJ ever!
Joe Fila was our dj for the night and he was AMAZING!! Joe was so much fun, had a great personality and very laid back but he knows his stuff and gets the job done! We got endless complements on how fun he was and how amazing the music was. He did such a good job at keeping the guest entertained and engaged. He was very organized and easy to get ahold of. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t think our wedding would have gone as smoothly as it did. Joe played all of our song request, which I loved and he also played music that catered to every guest, so they all had a good time! I had one request and that was no line dances, and he made sure people asked me before he played them if people requested one, which was a small detail I really appreciate. I could go on and on about everything me and my husband loved about him but I’ll end it here. I can’t recommend him enough!

DJ for our wedding reception
These DJs were amazing and kept the night running smoothly! We had such a fun time, from all our favorite songs being played to them helping us through the night with dinner first dances and cake cutting timelines. Everyone from the company has lots of experience and are very pleasant to work with! The party was amazing and one of our favorite mementoes of the night.

Joe, our DJ .. you were THE bomb and made our reception such a blast!! Everyone stayed, partied, had a great time and was there for us every step of the way. When you're thinking about a wedding, of course your first thought is the Bride and Groom; but as for us in that role our first thought was to make sure we had the best entertainment for our guest! Without good entertainment, the party dies down and we wanted to make sure it was the party of the year that our guest wouldn't forget! We had 3 different vendors lined up and Active Entertainment came thru for us, from start to finish!
Joe & his staff were the absolute best decision to hire for our BIG day. Active entertainment has so many packages to choose from, pricing is very reasonable and they are amazing to work with. They are organized and give you their all. Active entertainment not only provided DJ for our reception but for our ceremony, as well as full up lighting of our ballroom, photobooth services and my absolute favorite " Dancing on a Cloud ".
All the staff are outgoing, they like to have a good time with the guest.. our DJ had went out on the floor and danced with us, and he took a video of mine and my husband's last dance of the night, knowing our back ground with the song, the video is truly something I will forever get to watch! I am 100% sure that you will not regret booking with Active Entertainment! They were the absolute best entertainment. So glad we choose them!

We would 100% recommend Active Entertainment to anyone. Joe made our wedding whole, he made sure everything went smoothly and on time. He plays music everyone enjoys and has everyone on the dance floor. He is very professional but also a very fun laid back person that can get along with anyone to make their day the best day ever! Joe always asked us if we needed anything throughout the night. And came to us first before making any decisions, and to make sure we were ready for the next event. We had him come and do our rehearsal the night before and he was there before us on the wedding day to make sure everything was perfect. Without him our wedding wouldn’t be as perfect as what it was!

We had to reschedule 3 times due to Covid restrictions and the amount of guests that were attending our wedding. Joe stuck with us through all of it and did such an AMAZING job on our day. We hired Active entertainment to DJ our wedding. Our DJs were Jeff & Joe. They were very helpful with both the ceremony and our reception. They provided a microphone and speaker for our outside venue, and were very accommodating for last minute changes on the day of the wedding. They were also helpful in preparing the transitions from one part of the reception to the next.

We are so thankful we went with this DJ! I was so worried that guests wouldn't dance, but the DJ gracefully got people on the dance floor all night. We felt taken care of by the DJ as well. Many of our friends and family have pulled us aside since the wedding and complimented us on our DJ choice.

Joe was with us every step of the way and was always accommodating and willing to give advice and insight if we were unsure of something. On the wedding day he went above and beyond by doing a video walk through before the ceremony, making sure that the wedding planner and photographers had everything they needed, and keeping the bride and groom informed on everything going on. We had Joe for our wedding on September 25 and he is absolutely amazing!!! Joe was so easy and personable to work with and it was the only part of the wedding I did not have to stress about! He really takes the time to get to know you as individuals and as a couple in order to provide the best service. That to me says a lot! He really loves what he does and takes pride in his work and it definitely shows. We hired him for ceremony, DJ and photo booth services and he went above and beyond in all of them. He kept people on the floor until the end of the night which was amazing! Everyone talked about how great he was! He also took charge and got everyone lined up for the entrance, made sure everyone knew what to do, and made sure our photographers were ready and where they needed to be as well! Working with Joe was such a breeze and I could not picture our day without his services! He really helped make it a memorable, fun, stress free day! Amazing DJ
Joe with Active Entertainment was absolutely amazing. He set our wedding day up exactly how I wanted it and went above and beyond to make our day perfect from the Ceremony to the end of the night. He gave us an amazing game to play with our photographers so we got pictures with everyone all of our guests. All of our family and friends raved about how great the DJ was. If you’re looking for an experienced DJ Joe Fila is the way to go!!

Best DJ in Michigan
Before the wedding we joked that Joe was the best DJ in the state. After seeing my friends and family dance the whole time, we realized that Active Entertainment is the best DJ service in the state of Michigan. Great company to work with and I recommend them for every wedding or any event that requires dancing.

Thoughtful and Flexible!
Active Entertainment is wonderful! We booked their DJ services for our wedding and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. Before the wedding they took the time to meet with us and go over all the details, and they constantly checked in throughout the wedding night to make sure things were going as planned and that we were enjoying everything!!

You Can't Go Wrong With Joe!
Joe kept the night fun and alive by keeping people on the dancefloor. He played all the songs we wanted and avoided the ones we did not want. Best night ever.
I wanted my daughters wedding to be amazing! From her outdoor wedding through the reception Active entertainment kept the night moving engaged our guests and was instrumental in making it the best night ever. We did not have a coordinator. Joe took care of the details. You won't be disappointed. Perfect choice!

The most memorable wedding experience ever!
Oh my goshhh! Where do I even start with our man DJ Joe Fila!!! Let me tell you this man will not let you down! The papers, reviews and awards don’t lie! When he tells you that your wedding guests will have a night they’ll never forget, that’s exactly what they’ll get AND more! I can’t thank you enough Joe you rocked our wedding through and through! Seriously the best DJ ever! We had so many compliments on our DJ and how great he was, so many guests have told me how much their legs and feet hurt from dancing all night! I don’t think the dance floor was empty not one single time all night. Joe knows exactly what he is doing and we highly recommend him for any special occasion! DJ Joe was exceptionally phenomenal at our wedding! Not only did he cater to a variety of songs from different languages, he also brought in lights and cameras for added effects. Very thorough and easy to work with! Would recommend 10/10!

Amazing wedding experience
Joe did such an amazing job with our wedding, our guests stayed entertained the whole time and he made it a very memorable night for everyone involved! Outdoor Wedding!
This was an outdoor wedding where we had to face the possibility of bad weather or high wind conditions. Joe had everything figured out so there was a “Plan B”, in case the weather didn’t cooperate. From beginning to end, he kept that dance floor completely filled.
