Perfection incarnate, thank you Act 3

From the moment we walked into our first tasting my wife, mom, and I got the impression that Act 3 is a local company managed by folks that take great pride in participating in life’s most meaningful celebrations. Our first impression was solidified via Roslyn’s clear and consistent communication (without being overwhelming to the brides), planning assistance, and support through the big day and beyond. The event manager who supported us during the day, Marla, could not have been better in her role or more supportive.

Before getting into the event, I want to highlight our tasting. Compared the others we did, Act 3 stood out immediately. Not only was the food hot and top-tier restaurant quality, Act 3 served our requested menu items and made sure my mom (the host and mother of the bride [me!]), who is vegan and gluten free, was well fed. Not only were we given a “thank you for considering us” gift, they sent all the leftovers home with us. We ate the leftovers for a couple days. The mushroom risotto, which is hard to reheat, was fantastic two days later.

In the midst the of wedding chaos, somewhere between the glass of champagne Marla handed us after the ceremony and dinner, I wanted to email Roslyn and thank her. I was mentally drafting this review during our event. Act 3 was a huge part of making the day go smoothly, supported my bride and I, and kept the host sane.

The host (hi mom!) specifically asked me to include her thoughts in my review: “I would like you to make a special note that Marla. As Act 3’s event manager, Marla did more than just catering and was crucial to the success of the evening. She kept things on track and supported the mother of the bride, who was new to planning and hosting a wedding, especially with the timeline and keeping on schedule. It would have been so easy to get behind and have the wedding go off the rails. Not only did Marla take care of everyone, but she also paid special attention to me and the smoothness of the event."

The entire Act 3 team has been amazing from the moment of our first tasting, through the event, and afterwards. While we are excited that wedding planning is over, I'll miss working with Act 3. Next time we need catering for an event, I know what company to contact! Thank you, Roslyn, Marla, and the entire Act 3 team.

I regret not getting a shot of the food included in our “sneak peaks!” I plan on updating this review with them. But, because our wedding photographer was also AMAZING, I’m shouting her out. Her name is Ashley at Moments and Mountains Photography (Olympia Wedding & Elopement Photography | Moments & Mountains), a local and woman-owned business.

Our Perfect Day

Act3 helped make our most special day absolutely perfect! Working with Act3 was the easiest process from submitting an inquiry to wedding clean up. Their whole team made us feel so special and allowed us to fully soak in our entire wedding day. And beyond the amazing service we received, we also still have family and friends talking about the most delicious food. #MyACT3Wedding

The Best Choice!

We couldn’t have asked for a better team to cover our wedding in September! We had about 40 guests and did our own planning so it was great to work with the very capable team at Act 3. Roslyn was amazing and guided us along the way, providing all the information we needed in a timely manner. The entire process, from the tasting to the hand-off for day-of coordination, went smoothly. There was great communication throughout and Roslyn responded promptly to all our questions and provided helpful insights when needed. We were also able to rent additional linens and tableware from other vendors through Act 3 which really helped streamline things for us.
As with the tasting, the food on the wedding day was delicious! Our guests enjoyed it and the Act 3 team was very gracious in accommodating guests’ requests during dinner service. The presentation, taste, service were all very well done. We especially appreciated their attention to us as bride & groom, ensuring that we were fed and hydrated throughout the evening! Truly 5 star experience!

Okay to start, I booked ACT 3 almost 2 years before my wedding and my coordinator Devi was thorough, responsive, and attentive that ENTIRE time. We chose ACT 3 after trying a couple other (more expensive) catering services and were blown away by the quality and customizability. We had several changes we needed made to various items and it was a no brainer.

When it came to rentals I had a very specific vision in mind and needed to mix and match from several rental companies but Devi managed it all seamlessly. I wish someone had captured our reaction to the dining room because we were absolutely blown away.

The food was incredible! We heard several times that night that it was the best wedding food our guests have had and wished they could take home extras. Everything was well seasoned and all our little requests were perfectly executed. We chose the premium bar option and it had a little something for everyone. We absolutely loved that we got a to go box so we could eat at the end of the night and the vendors were so appreciative of the generous portions.

The ACT 3 team was so incredibly attentive and on top of whatever we could need! At one point when I realized I hadn't gotten to have any deviled eggs, the team quickly hunted the last ones down and brought them to me. They were also so sweet in constantly making sure I had a drink and were sure to let me know when the champagne was running low so I didn't miss out on it.

I can't recommend ACT 3 for any special event enough!

One of our best wedding decisions!

ACT 3 was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The presentation was beautiful, the food full of flavor, and every choice was tailored perfectly to reflect our story. There was not one guest who left hungry or unsatisfied! But beyond the incredible menu, what truly stood out was the warmth, professionalism, and care their team (especially Devi) brought to every detail. They made the planning process seamless, handled everything with grace, and created an experience that felt personal and unforgettable. We’re so grateful they helped make our special day so magical.

Amazing job

ACT 3 Catering was incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to Devi Harris, our event coordinator. From day one, Devi impressed us with her clear communication, thoughtful planning, and meticulous attention to detail. She made the entire process feel effortless and was always one step ahead—anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. Though she couldn’t be there on the day, her presence was felt in every smooth transition and perfectly timed moment. You will not be disappointed!

They came out to our wedding venue of 300+ guests and did such an amazing job. Everyone was complimenting the service and food. Almost a MONTH after our wedding and we're still getting compliments about our vendor team. Amazing communication from Roslyn who was on top of it from day one and never dropped the ball on us. We were very impressed and happy with Act3! Best in the business! I'm not really one to do any reviews but their performance was beyond deserving of one. 100% would book them again.

Amazing service!

We had such an overall pleasant experience with ACT3! Devi was amazing and super responsive, we had lots of questions and she was so quick and kind in her responses. The food was amazing, and all of guests were raving about our late night pasta bar. The staff was excellent and very friendly including the waiting staff and the bartenders. Flawless Experience with Act 3!

We had an amazing experience with Act 3 for our wedding catering and bar service! Roslyn, our coordinator, made the entire process so easy and stress-free. She was incredibly helpful, offering valuable opinions and guiding us through every step. The bartender was skilled and crafted our custom cocktails perfectly — they were a huge hit with our guests, who are still asking for the recipe! Top notch catering!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience working with ACT 3, and we would absolutely choose to work with them again in the future. From the moment we reached out, Devi took an active and collaborative approach. During the tasting, we had the chance to sample our favorite food options, and ACT 3 was more than accommodating with our customization requests, as well as the multiple complex dietary restrictions of our guests. They offered a variety of options to fit different budgets, and even took the initiative to coordinate details with another one of our vendors. On our wedding day, we were thrilled to find that the food was even more delicious than we remembered! ACT3 was great for my daughters wedding.

My daughter was recently married at Robinswood House. ACT3 did the catering. The food and service were phenomenal! Truong & his team at ACT 3 Catering made the day go seamlessly. The set up was beautiful and the onsite service was outstanding. The lady that was in charge kept making sure we were alright. Truong was very helpful during the entire planning process, answered all our questions and helped explain what we didn't understand. The food was amazing, and we heard a lot of compliments from guests! The stuffed mushrooms and the salmon appetizers were awesome, but the best was the chicken in butternut squash and steak with gorgonzola butter. Snack trays were provided to the wedding party and a packed dinner was provided for the Bride and Groom for after the event.

Best Decision We Made

Selecting ACT 3 as our caterer was by FAR one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had a 300 person wedding, so food was probably the most stressful piece of our vendor puzzle. ACT 3 worked with us to come up with creative menu options that felt like a perfect fit for us, they were so responsive throughout the process and helped with all of our crazy questions. Roslyn really put me at ease and I felt so incredibly confident when it came to wedding day. Not only was the food AMAZING, and did we get constant compliments after the fact, the staff on site that day went above and beyond to help flip the rooms, and ensure that everything went on schedule. I can't speak highly enough of ACT 3, if you need a caterer, look no further.

Amazing!

For our wedding, out of everyone we’ve communicated with (across both competing catering companies AND other vendors), Act3 has been the most caring, thorough, swift, and knowledgeable throughout the whole timeline, consistently. My now spouse and I felt deeply reassured, partnered with, and invested in because of how Act3 worked with us and the quality of work they did. And when we met with our Act3 coordinator in person for the first time at the tasting, every interaction only reaffirmed the correspondence we had over the phone and over email; they not only treated us so kindly, but were also very warm and respectful to our family there with us too. They were gracious and so on top of every detail the whole way through. Truly, working with them has made a huge difference in the wedding AND in the planning leading up to it. Especially Roslyn!! Work with her if you get a chance. The whole Act3 team is deeply impressive. Their services carried us through the reception of our wedding (and beyond)! The food was amazing (those sliders are the best thing ever). Execution blew us away; they set up the floor plans exactly to spec AND were quick on their feet to adapt to the plan B when the weather conditions were poor. Neither of us had to think - we trusted the team and they all delivered. Everyone was professional and enthusiastic. Even with the leftover food at the end of the night (which we lived off of for the next day and a half) - we felt cared for. Thank you for helping us with our big day.

Flawless experiment

Before even booking, multiple sources told us that ACT 3 Catering was the best in the area and we weren't disappointed! Roslyn was phenomenal and worked carefully with us to curate the perfect selection of food and beverages for our wedding. The guests were very happy with the appetizers and dinner. Great Food and Accommodating Staff

When planning our wedding, great food was at the top of our list! We attended five tastings, including two at ACT3, to find the perfect caterer. From the beginning, ACT3 was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. They worked closely with us to create a custom menu, valuing our input. On the day of the wedding, the food was beyond amazing—everything was flavorful, and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say! The staff was professional, friendly, and efficient, ensuring everyone was well taken care of. Devi was fantastic, following up with us to make sure every detail was ironed out ahead of the big day.

Helpful, kind, and delicious!

Out of all the caterers that worked with our venue, we chose Act 3 because of their flexibility in creating a custom Asian menu for our wedding. We were already blown away at our taste testing. When our wedding day arrived, we were very impressed with the consistency in quality! The menu was a huge hit and everyone enjoyed the food as much as we did. Not only did the food impress us, but the hospitality and service of the team was so helpful and kind! I especially remember Donna/Dana(?) who was so accommodating and sweet. Roslyn was also incredibly kind and helpful throughout all the emailing and planning prior to the wedding.

Wonderful wedding!

I had a fantastic experience with ACT 3 as my wedding caterer. Roslyn was incredibly helpful, guiding me through menu selections and patiently answering all of my questions. Her responsiveness and expert advice were invaluable throughout the planning process. On our wedding day, the crew arrived promptly and set up the venue exactly as I had envisioned. The staff was friendly and always wore a smile. We had a buffet dinner for about 60 guests, and the buffet table was beautifully arranged with clear labels for each dish. Our guests loved the food, and the catering staff thoughtfully packed up the leftover food and wedding cakes for me, which I appreciated since I forgot to eat the wedding cake! Their top-notch customer service left a lasting impression. At the end of the night, the crew efficiently cleaned up the venue and left us a heartfelt card signed by all the staff, which was a wonderfully touching gesture. I highly recommend ACT 3 for anyone seeking exceptional catering.

Delicious Food!

We LOVED this catering! We tasted quite a few places, and this was by far the best quality. They were also able to fully staff our event and helped take care of things like switching the ceremony space to the reception for dinner! It went amazing, and the people at act 3 were so helpful at all stages! Can't recommend more!

Amazing company

The food was spectacular! The staff did an amazing job during the service. They were very helpful and thorough leading up the our wedding to ensure they provided just what we wanted.

We had an unexpected emergency during the event and the staff stepped up and gave us extra assistance when they weren’t expected to. They went above and beyond for us. I would 100% recommend this catering company!

There's no catch!

I was honestly really worried that something was going to go horribly wrong at our wedding, because ACT 3 seemed too good to be true! They were professional, super affordable, and their food was delicious - there had to be a catch right? Nope! The wedding went perfectly, they were fantastic to work with, and we got so many compliments on the food. Mao and her team are amazing!

We’ve had many tastings with caterers from all over Seattle and we liked ACT3 the most! Our guests raved about how delicious everything was! It was hard planning during the pandemic but they were very accommodating with changes on our date of event.

They handled everything!

We LOVED Act 3 catering! They sold us at the taste testing and we continued to be thankful for them as they seamlessly navigated our postponement. They took care of linens, dinnerware, bar tending, and cake cutting, and the food was heavenly. Not what you think of when you think wedding food. They took such good care of us, and our guests (including those with food allergies/intolerances), and sent home a lovely goodie bag for us to enjoy since we didn't get to eat much there. We had so many compliments, and could not thank them enough for their amazing service throughout the planning process and the actual day. Thank you ACT 3!!

I would recommend act 3 catering to anyone

Fantastic experience! Highly recommend.

We hired ACT 3 for our September 2021 wedding and we have no regrets! The service was excellent and the food was better than we could've asked for. Great variety of menu selections and we even did a tasting months before the wedding. They were easy to work with and adapted to changes leading up to the event. You can't go wrong with this vendor!

Great vendor

We went with Act 3 since they were an exclusive caterer through our venue, but we were not disappointed. The food was great, and the kids (and I) loved the mac and cheese. It was also a nice surprise to have leftover boxes for me and my groom to eat in the hotel after. Their staff was super friendly and even gave us a bowl of water for our dog in attendance.

I will note that the bill was much higher than anticipated - there was a lot of hidden fees that weren't brought up until the end when we couldn't really make any changes at that point. Although I would have liked to spend less, I will admit it was worth the price.

Above and Beyond Food and Service!

I am SO glad we chose Act 3 Catering for our wedding day! Catering is so important for a wedding day, and Act 3 definitely went above and beyond our expectations.

Our food was amazing and we had many wedding guests tell us how much they loved it! The sausage stuffed mushrooms appetizer and cous cous at dinner were a guest favorite.

Right after the ceremony they had waters ready for us which was very much needed! They also brought us appetizers to enjoy while signing our paperwork.

They always made sure we had a drink and water when needed in our hand the whole night. My parents even said how much they appreciated the staff always asking if they needed anything. Their entire staff was extremely friendly! They definitely are there to take care of you and your guests.

We were given a huge a bag of food and desserts at the end of the night to take with us, which we really appreciated.

Thank you Act 3 for making our wedding day so special!

Added sophistication to our wedding

They knocked it out of the ballpark for us, so glad we chose Act 3. Great planning and communication right from the beginning. Working with their planning team really felt like we were making a custom event and menu. It was very personalized and elegant.

They also had an excellent server team helping us on the wedding day. They did everything we wanted and more. Provided welcomed suggestions on placement, handled our requests about timing and where we wanted the cake cutting and champagne toast. All of them were also fun and friendly, out guests had a blast.

They were able to do everything we wanted and were also totally self sufficient. That helped us focus on the wedding and fun stuff rather than needing to coordinate where and when we needed them to do something. The team at our event were wonderful.

Also, the food was great. We loved it at our tasting, and somehow at the event it was even better! The did all of the serving, handled rentals, and did breakdown afterwards. Made it very easy for us.

When we throw a big party again in the future, we'll definitely make our lives easier and ask Act 3 to cater it for us. Couldn't be happier with the final result.

Pick them, Choose them!!

ACT 3 Catering went above and beyond for mine and my husbands big day. While navigating through a pandemic ACT 3 never forgot to keep me updated and check in while we waited to see what would happen and then through the process of postponement they handled the whole movement of dates and guests counts smoothly. The food was amazing, it's exactly how it was when we had our tasting and was a huge hit with our guests! They loved the Mac and Cheese!! During the day of the wedding I've never felt so taken care of, the staff made sure my husband and I were fed and even had a whole bag ready for us in our room for after. They offered their compliments and helped us with anything we needed. I can't recommend ACT 3 enough. You wont find another company that cares more about you and your day like they do. If you need a sign-- THIS IS IT.

Act 3 was amazing!

Phenomenal vendor!

Choosing a caterer was one of our biggest struggles but choosing Act 3 was one of the best we made! Markelle and Emily made this process easy even when I had a million questions/scenarios! Our day of team was amazing also! We had a lady who catered to my husband and during the wedding, she made sure we had food and drinks, definitely taking care of us! Wish I could remember her name cause she was phenomenal! We received so many compliments from our guest of how AMAZING all the food was. Will definitely use them in the future!

The best decision ever!

We looked at a lot of different catering companies and decided to go with Act 3 based on the multiple food options and reasonable price. Honestly, it was the best decision we made! At our food tasting, everything tasted so delicious but for some reason, it tasted so much better on our actual wedding day. I think the #1 thing I heard most from our guests after the big day was about how good the food was, haha! Big thanks to Markelle, Emily, and all the wonderful staff that gave amazing service!!

Amazing Vendor

Finding a catering company for your wedding can be a very stressful thing. It seemed like every vendor we were considering was trying to nickel and dime us and charging excessive amounts for "services". We found Act 3 to be the most reasonable and are very glad we went with them. They were flexible and were very accommodating to the constant changes due to the challenging pandemic. Communication was fast a reliable. The food was amazing, service was attentive and friendly, decorations were on point, and all our guests had nothing but good things to say. We were truly fortunate to have picked Act 3 as our vendor for our wedding and would recommend them to anyone.

Great service & food!

ACT 3 was the best decision ever!! The service, the food, and the staff were all amazing. My husband and I actually went in for a tasting late August, but didn't book until almost a month before our wedding date (ahhhh, I know - we had so much going on and somehow that decision took us forever haha!) Markelle was amazing throughout everything. She took the time to check up on us before we even booked. Bless her heart for her patience, organization and professionalism. I had a bridezilla moment and she handled it so well! Victoria was our main girl the day of our wedding and she was so on point with making sure we were fed and enjoying ourselves. The bartenders and the staff serving dinner were all great as well.

THE FOOD. The reviews I read prior to booking all talked about how amazing the food was and that is no lie! We had 3 tray passed appetizers during cocktail hour - veggie baked stuffed mushrooms, bulgogi beef skewers with kimchi and coconut prawns and all of our guests LOVED it. We did a family style dinner for each table and I was very impressed at how organized the staff were when serving the food. We still receive compliments on how yummy the food was at our wedding. The champagne chicken was cooked perfectly!

ACT 3 has amazing service and they are very affordable! We had a guest count of 270 + feeding our working vendors that night! THANK YOU, Markelle & team!

Amazing from beginning to happily ever after!

ACT 3 was amazing from the time we met them at the Puyallup Wedding Expo to the day of services provided by all of the staff. Emily helped us plan everything from the food for our appetizers and dinner to our linens and table settings. She was so helpful with any questions we had, even when they were outside of services she normally provides. We also loved working with Marla day of. She made sure we had drinks all night and would check in periodically to let us know their timeline and make sure we had whatever we needed. The food is also delicious! Our wedding food was just as wonderful as we remembered from our tasting. Our guests are still raving about our passed appetizers and dinner three weeks after our wedding! The entire ACT 3 team is amazing. The staff really went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. They are friendly and accommodating, and made sure our guests were taken care of, which was very important to us. The services we received include buffet style dinner, passed appetizers, and full bar services. ACT 3's display of our buffet was also very beautiful and elegant, contributing to the look and feel we were hoping for with our decor. We highly recommend ACT 3 Catering and wouldn't change a thing about the services they provided for our wedding

Great Service & Great Food!

Emily helped us every step of the way! I feel like I had a million questions all the time but she was always so quick to respond and gave us great info every time. They had very affordable prices that fit well within our budget and great quality food! Our guests loved the food and kept complimenting us on our food choice. The service team that took care of us on our wedding day was amazing! They were so attentive and all worked extremely hard. They made sure they took care of all of our guests. Everything happened so fast and we had such a large guest count so it was hard to keep up with everyone but they did a great job. We were super exhausted and overwhelmed from the craziness of the day but they made sure we were always taken care of! They constantly checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. There were a lot of moving parts to our wedding due to the guest count and setup of the venue but they did a great job with making everything organized and go smoothly. Thank you Act 3 for contributing a huge part of our magical day!

BEST CATERING Service you'll FIND for your Event!

We entertained 4 different catering services, and to say that ACT 3 Catering was head and shoulders above the rest would be a massive understatement! Their site location in Renton was both convenient and impressive. Upon our initial tasting we were warmly greeted and were appropriately served everything we had requested to taste. The food is exceptional, and the options are numerous. They work closely with you to ensure you are comfortable with your choices and the presentations. Big kuddos to Markelle, who was our main point of contact throughout and never let us down. She is a great communicator and was hands down amazing! The service on our wedding day was top notch, professional and engaging. We honestly feel like we lucked out deciding on ACT 3, but they truly made the decision easy to make. Amazing Service and Friendly Staff

I can not recommend this company enough. They were one of the preferred vendors at our venue and I am so glad they were. From start to finish they were so professional and helpful. I worked with Markelle leading up to the wedding and should could not have been more helpful with the 1000 questions I had. She was patient and also had some great ideas for me to incorporate into our wedding. The food and service on the day of were amazing ! Because they were so familiar with the venue I did not have to answer any questions. They were so sweet and even packed a to go box for the hubby and I!

You can't go wrong with Act 3!

We hired Act 3 after sampling several catering vendors in Seattle and settled on Act 3 after tasting their amazing food. The overall cost ended up being almost $2000 less than other vendors and our guests raved about the food. We had some last minute guest cancellation and thought we'd have leftovers, but there were none! Guests went back two and three times for more prime rib, wild salmon, and everything else. I didn't much care for prime rib until I ate theirs, it is like butter! And their staff was fantastic, they really went above and beyond on the wedding day. Our guests commented on how great the staff was and how much they loved the food. Act 3 is wonderful!

Best food and top quality service

We couldn't be more thrilled with our service from Act3. Markelle was easy to work with, while we were planning our event. Day of staff looked out for our every need. Everyone loved the food!

Act 3 was an amazing choice for my wedding dinner. So many people came up to me saying how great the food was. The staff were friendly and they made sure my husband and I had some appetizers and drinks before our grand entrance. Communicating with them throughout the year has been a breeze as well, their responses were always quick. They're professional and knew just what to do when it came to how to make our signature drinks (I only vaguely knew what I was doing), how and where the buffet should be, and setup/takedown was super fast. I can't recommend them enough!

Delicious food with excellent service and attention to detail

Both Troy and I were highly impressed with Act 3 and here is why! They are thoughtful, when we came around the corner after our ceremony, there was a nicely dressed waiter with two waters waiting to congratulate us! They are prompt, Markelle is incredibly talented at what she does and the chef, wait staff and bar tender were top notch! We took advantage of their private tasting, where they served us our choices off their menu. It was so hard to choose everything was delicious. They truly made us feel special when the chef came out to personally talk about the food we had chosen. It was a really nice touch. We are so happy we chose them, they served our guest a delicious meal from tip to tail. They were attentive and professional from planning to service, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic service

There service was fantastic and the food for the BBQ menue we picked had our guest wishing they had doggie bags for the food afterwards...the food was incredible the staff was amazing to work with so polite and sweet they went beyond and above to deliver the best prepping and display! Great food, value and service!

Act3 did an amazing job at our wedding and helped make everything simple. They took care of the food, linens, cake cutting and bar-tending. Wow, where do I begin..... From The Amazing food, to the first class setup, to the first-class top-notch servers and bartenders who were seamless, Pleasant, cheerful, attentive and quick. There is not enough adjectives to say how amazing this operation is. They were excellent and I would absolutely recommend them!

Amazing food and best service!

We worked with Markelle setting up the menu, table, and drinks for our wedding. It was so easy to work with her and the Act 3 team. The lead that day, Victoria, was to say the least... amazing. She always kept track if we needed a drink or food, all the while doing the wedding thing. All the caterers and vendors did an amazing job and would 100% recommend them for your catering needs. The food was great and the desserts were a hit! We did a s'mores bar and it couldn't have been more perfect. THANK YOU!

Beyond Perfection

My interactions with Act 3 were nothing short of perfection. I worked with Emily to put together a menu, staffing, and other needs (water service, desserts plates). She was incredibly responsive and detailed oriented. She even helped me accommodate onion and gluten allergies. Emily often apologized for asking several questions, but it put me at ease knowing that I wasn’t the only one thinking of all these things (as I am a control freak). She was so thorough and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about working with her. On the day of, the staff showed up early/on time (unsure as I was off taking pictures) and immediately got to work. Then, as we were taking a brief break from pictures, Marla, the event manager found us and served us water. She did this half a dozen more times throughout the event- it was so amazing and helpful! That level of care was so unexpected, but incredibly appreciated. All staff members were incredibly attentive to us, making sure we always had a beverage if wanted.They offered to make our plates at the buffet, but we passed on that (as I was not sure of how much I could eat - nerves). They did carry our plates to our table, which was helpful for me in my gown. The buffet was beautifully decorated and all dishes were labeled, especially the ones that said “onion free.” My groom said that their champagne chicken was the best chicken he’s ever had. While I didn’t eat much at the actual ceremony, due to nerves and adrenaline, the food was DELICIOUS. I know this because Act 3 created a to go bag for me and my groom. Two entrees, salad, dressing, Parmesan, rolls (with butter), huge helping of cake, napkins, plates, and silverware. It was so generous and perfect for me as I was starving when I got back to the hotel at the end of the night. At the end of the wedding, Act 3 went above and beyond to help our other event staff tear down/clean up the room. I was surprised that they hung around to help with everything and not just their own tables. It was awesome. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Thank you, Act 3 for playing your part exquisitely in our big day.

Amazing and Organized

They have amazing communication and I LOVE that when we were looking at the proposal everything (including gratuity) was included so NO HIDDEN FEES. My fiancé and I are doing our best to budget for our wedding and they make it so easy.

So many options and dietary alternatives

So we had a TACO Bar, people are still talking about how good our wedding food was over a year later! Not only is ACT 3 Catering amazing, fun, delicious, and top notch all the way around they are great at accommodating dietary restrictions. I for one, as the Bride with my restrictions of Dairy, Soy and Gluten but also providing Vegetarian and Vegan options for our guests! I can't tell you how many weddings I've been to and STARVED because there wasn't any food options I could eat. I wasn't going to do that to my guests. Scrape the fine china and glassware invest in the food. That is was people will remember!!! TRUST ME!

Incredible service & Food

Our wedding this past weekend was catered by Act 3. I knew I wanted to serve a nice dinner but wasn’t expecting anything out of the normal for catered food. I’ve never been to a wedding where the food was something that left a lasting impression.
Boy was I wrong. The food was one of the most talked about things of the night. The salmon and prime rib was to die for. As a bride, you’re told numerous times throughout the night to eat. I had NO problems finishing my plate and even sneaking in a few bites of seconds ☺️We were recommended Act 3 by our fabulous venue coordinator, Kellie. The staff took care of every detail. We had plenty enough food, and the service was remarkable. I will HIGHLY recommend Act 3 to anyone getting married or hosting a large event. It was so refreshing to have every detail on the catering side handled with outstanding service.

Not even sure where to begin! Act 3 went above and beyond and exceeded every expectation we had and expectations that we didn't even know we could have. We were mainly excited about their amazing food but it ended up being SO much more than that.

Markelle was incredible every step of the way. She's highly organized and accommodating. She looked out for us and made sure we were well informed on all of our decisions that would effect cost. She was always super quick to respond and kind when she did. We were lucky to have her!

Our family and guests are still talking about the food and how delicious it was but they're also still buzzing about the service. How kind and helpful the staff all were and how hard they were all working nonstop to make sure everything was clean and that everyone had full glasses.

There were two things that were totally unexpected but blew our expectations out of the water. The first was the gorgeous buffet display. They took our theme and our colors and created the most beautiful display in the great room in our venue. It was such a wonderful surprise.
The second was that my husband and I had our own "personal assistant" who also assisted our parents the entire night. She was so sweet and helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. It made us feel so special.

We absolutely 100% recommend them!!

Act 3 Catering was phenomenal. I had my wedding on 6.2.18 and my husband and I were beyond happy that we chose them. They have a very extensive menu to choose from, but we went with the cheapest meal plan [because one: we had A LOT of guests. and two: the cheapest one was pasta and that was exactly what we wanted]. Before confirming with them, I was able to set up a tasting and bring up to 4 other guests with me. The tasting was not like most. You got to choose from so many selections and they give you a sit down meal with fresh food brought to you so you can know exactly what you're going to get. I seriously wanted EVERYTHING from the tasting to be on my menu because it was all so delicious!!
Day of with Act 3 could not have been any better. Immediately after the ceremony they were waiting for the bride and groom with our drinks of choice in hand. They made sure we got our food first and made sure the bride didn't have to do any work. They went way beyond expectations and were so gracious in catering to the family. They were refilling drinks and making sure everyone was tended to so fast. I didn't have anything to worry about as a bride. I had 200 guests and they made sure all there glasses were charged for the toasts. There bartending service was on top of it. My husband and I were looking forward to leftovers after the wedding, but we didn't even get any because our guests ate everything going up for seconds and thirds. Act 3 was so kind, so on top of it, and suuuper tasty. They are hands down worth every penny and the only catering company I would ever consider.

I LOVED Act 3! The catered or wedding for us and the guests were raving about the food . We had chicken marsala, flank steak with lime chimichuri, seasonal veggies, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad with rolls. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try the passed appetizers because we were taking pictures but the guests loved the stuffed mushrooms the best from what we heard. There was one gal who was in charge of helping me and my husband with anything we needed (drinks from the bar, more food, etc.) so we felt spoiled and it helped us focus on our night so it was awesome. We still crave the mashed potatoes!

We hired ACT 3 Catering this summer to cater our daughter's wedding and they totally exceeded our expectations! Their passion for excellence in food preparation and outstanding customer service was evident from the beginning. Markelle, our point of contact throughout the process, was professional, extremely responsive in returning many phone calls and emails, attentive to the many details, and very kind as she guided us through the many decisions of planning everything from decor to a delicious customized buffet – all while being very flexible and respectful of our budgetary concerns. The entire on-site staff on the day of the wedding was also very professional, friendly, and hard-working. They went out of their way to help us relax and be able to enjoy the celebration without having to worry about the details of the event. The buffet presented beautifully, the food was beyond delicious, and everything went according to our detailed planning. We got many complements from our guests and we would definitely go with ACT 3 again. The quality of food and service that ACT 3 Catering provides is worth every penny!

I had no idea how important the catering and the catering team would be to a wedding. I mean I knew food is important and it's one of the things guests are all excited about and stuff, but I've been to many weddings and most of them had the same old menu and food is good, but not outstanding. Our menu with Act3 was fresh and different, and the food was actually outstanding. They have so many menu options, including options for various dietary restrictions.
Additionally, the team was attentive and pleasant to work with and be served by. Particularly, on our day, Brittany was constantly making sure my husband and I were in want for nothing. She was so kind, and also very quick. My husband actually had a stomach bug on our big day so he didn't even get to enjoy the food, fresh as it was, but they boxed some up for him and even included a little get well note. :) So sweet!
We are so happy with our decision to work with Act3!

Catering is the most expensive part of most weddings, but Act 3 really knocked it out of the park with ours! I was a little hesitant at first because I thought it was a little expensive (200 guest wedding with open bar serving alcohol we purchased separately, also included linens), but they really did a truly amazing job. The food display was beautiful and everyone raved about how delicious the food was afterwards! The BEST part was our the personal server the bridal party had (her name was Dana and she was an angel sent from heaven!) She got our whole party everything we needed throughout the whole evening and always made sure our drinks were full and snacks in our suites! She even packaged us up our own personal meals for after the wedding (which we definitely needed), it was perfect. I would highly recommend Act 3 to anyone in the Tacoma/Seattle area having a wedding (they also knew Historic 1625 perfectly so that helped a lot).

You mainly judge caterers through their food - Act 3 not only nailed that, but took it to the next level for our day! We received non-stop compliments about the meal that Act 3 served and the experience they provided thanks to their attentiveness and care of our guests. They even ensured that my husband and I had a dedicated person to take care of all our needs - we got to taste all our appetizers, drinks, main course and dessert! Many of my married friends told us we would not be able to eat on our wedding day, simply due to the hustle and bustle. Act 3 made sure we had full bellies and we are extremely thankful for that. So so happy with the food, service, value and experience we received from Act 3!

We used Act3 Catering for our Laurel Creek Manor wedding. They were so great. We were able to do a tasting before hand and the coordinator assigned to our wedding, Donna, was so helpful. I emailed quite often with questions and she always responded very quickly. We also ordered our linens through their suggested vendor and Act3 set them up beautifully the day of. The food all tasted great at our wedding, I had multiple guests say the basil cream chicken was delicious and so was the strawberry harvest salad. There employees were all wonderful and we had a server assigned to us (bride/groom) and she went above and beyond. I am very happy with choosing to have Act3 cater our wedding.

We worked with Donna and Janice to organize the catering for our wedding and they were fantastic. They were so helpful and more then willing to answer the many many questions we had. Act3 was super amazing! The service was excellent and I couldn’t ask for more I was very satisfied. From the food tasting till the end they were amazing! They really treat you special. Our guest loves the food specially the coconut shrimp! I loved the scallop wrap with bacon too! Everything was delicious. Lisa was very nice she was very calm and communicated well with my mom. She took care of us and made sure we were not hungry and even took our plate and brought it to our table. They set aside appetizer for us to make sure we get to try them.
They took care of the guest and made sure they were fine. I saw the rest of the crew checking in every table taking empty plates and asking guest f they needed drinks and everything. The whole crew was super amazing. They are all professionals and hard workers and I really appreciated them.

The table decoration was amazing too. I love it. It didn’t too look simple but didn’t look like crazy too. I requested to set up the candy bar and the fondue and they made it happened. I definitely made the right choice hiring act3 as my wedding caterer.

ACT 3 did a great job with our wedding! The food was delicious.
My favorite were the Sausage stuffed mushrooms! I'm sad I only had 2! Ha-
They were professional, organized, and extremely helpful. As soon as I arrived at the venue, the catering manager came right up to me and made sure if I needed anything. She brought me water right away and checked in with me throughout the evening. It was such a special touch that she made sure I was taken care of.
The bartender quickly learned what my drink of choice was and if he saw me coming- he had my drink ready to go!
Guests commented how wonderful the food was all night long and even now!
Food for a large group is expensive, but ACT III makes everything worthwhile.
They are very easy to work with- our guest count changed from when we booked to when we needed to give the final number; I appreciate that ACT III gives you the flexibility to make changes. Other caterers wanted us to be locked in to a number 1 year out! And then upcharged you if you changed. ACT III understands weddings and events; they were helpful and courteous and delicious!!!

ACT 3 Catering is great! I highly recommend them. I primarily worked with Donna to set up a tasting and quotes for our wedding menu, and she was always very professional, prompt and kind. She set up a tasting for my parents and even invited them back a week later for a second complimentary tasting when they wanted to try a few more dishes. There's a variety of menus and services they provide, so you really can find something to fit your wedding budget and they're willing to work with you on almost anything to make your wedding day food perfect. Their food was delicious and we even got the leftovers packed up and put in a bag for us to take home. Hooray!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Act 3 was!! Our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing without them. Nearly 2 months after our wedding date, friends and family are still talking about how delicious our food was. Donna at the main office was so easy to work with and the event staff the night of our wedding were stellar. I always had a plate of food or drink in my hand and they were so attentive to our guests as well. We loved their food so much we wish they had take out! Highly recommend them!

My wife and I were referred to Act 3 from a friend that has used them for corporate catering. We selected a menu, tasted and decided to use them for our wedding. The food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the sales and support staff were easy to work with during the planning process. We had a great experience working with Act3. The food was delicious, their prices were reasonable, and the service was great. They were very accommodating with our requests. My mother-in-law speaks no English and they made sure that one of their waiters was bilingual. Also, I am still dreaming of their beef tenderloin crostini ... it is amazing.

I was skeptical about going with buffet service since I have had bad experiences at other weddings with buffets, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious (all of guests commented how great the food was) and the service was great! They even made sure to incorporate our wedding colors into the decorations on the buffet table!

We loved Act 3 Catering! They were one of four of the required vendors for our venue. At first we had counted them out of the race because they were the most expensive; HOWEVER their prices included real plates and silverware while the other caterers only included paper plates and plastic forks with their prices, and after adding real plates and silverware in their prices ended up being more expensive than Act 3. On top of that, Act 3 was flexible and worked with us so that the menu price was more in the range we were looking for. We usually worked with Donna who was always so responsive and made sure we had all the details figured out. The day of, their display was wonderful and the food was delicious! It was all that we wanted from our caterer. On top of that, our servers carried our (the bride and groom) plates back to our tables so we didn’t have to. They constantly checked in with us, and were so thoughtful. Act 3 was great!

We chose Act 3 for our catering and it was a great choice. The food was delicious and our guests were asking us about the food the entire night. I highly recommend them. Our Catering Coordinator was amazing. Donna was professional, sweet, caring, and overall a great person to work with. On the day of, the staff was amazing. They have worked with Pickering Barn plenty of times, so I felt very comfortable with them, taking care of things. They hid behind the scenes, but at the same time catered to your every need. The food was more than outstanding. A big thanks to Liz who was catering to my husband and I, she always made sure we had everything we needed. It went so smoothly. And again, the food and service was awesome. Oh and of course getting to take home the left overs was a plus!!! I have already recommended Act 3 to my co-workers/friends!! Thank You.

I worked with Donna to create an amazing plated dinner service for our guests and her and her staff delivered beautifully. Our initial meeting was great, she had fantastic ideas and suggestions. They coordinated directly with the linen company and made it so very easy for me! I will hire them again for other events I have.

the food was amazing. my guests all went back for seconds. we had almost no food to bring home! they were very easy to work with and Donna was very helpful!

I hired Act 3 to cater and bartender my November wedding at the Kelley Farm. Donna was awesome to work with and helped to create my wedding day vision. She met with me several times and helped me to pick out and create a beautiful buffet table. The food at the wedding was great, we had some leftovers (and some people had seconds!), the servers and bartenders were great too. They provided snacks for the wedding party and offered us a special treat for being active military. Choosing Act 3 was one of the best wedding decisions I made and I would highly recommend them to others.

Great food, great service, great price! They don't make wedding cakes anymore but they did make the most amazing cakes so I'm glad I was able to have them do it. Their prices are the most reasonable I was able to find and you couldn't tell from tasting the food. All of it was amazing! We got all the leftovers and they were good 1 week later! Yum!!

one word....EXCELLENT! I would highly recommend ACT 3 for catering. Prices might seem a little high, but the care they took and the presentation they did at our daughter's wedding was well worth it.

I had to post a review for this phenominal company!! My hubby and I got married back in November 1998 and had Terri D's Catering(now Act 3) do all the food for our wedding. Almost 13 yrs later, people are STILL commenting on how great the food not only tasted, but how beautifully everything was presented. I think that is the best compliment such a great company can receive!! Terri and her staff were a dream to work with. You won't be disappointed for chosing Act 3!!

This caterer was wonderful to work with. Kelsey is the wedding planner and she was very responsive and easy to get a hold of.

Their food is absolutely spectacular. They have a beef and onion crostini appetizer that is delectable!! Their food is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. We had a plated salad with a buffet dinner. They were very responsive to work with me on how to present the salad dressing options so the vegetarians didn't feel singled out. They also found dishes for me at the eleventh hour to put the candies in after I couldn't find anything I liked.

The service was impeccable. The waitstaff and the bartenders were quick to pick up plates and to serve drinks. The bartenders were very quick and there was rarely a line that I noticed at the bar.

They have options for you to serve your own alcohol if you like, but their selection was fine with us, so we used their open bar service. You pay per person and then they get as many drinks as they can handle. The cost per person is close to what two drinks cost, so it was much cheaper to go that route than to pay by the drink or the bottle.

If you're going to book them, try to schedule your booking during one of their monthly tastings. They offer incentives during their tastings to book right then. We got a free chocolate fountain (something we never could have done otherwise - they're surprisingly expensive) for signing up at the tasting.

The only bad thing was that the chocolate fountain didn't work, so it turned into chocolate fondue, but everyone got their chocolate fix, so they were happy. And it was free so I can't complain about that - if I had paid $1200 for it, I would not have been happy.

What a nice catering service which had expertise in catering weddings.Act 3 Catering did a good job for our wedding and were real easy to explain what we needed.

ACT3 did a wonderful job at my wedding! The servers were the nicest people and the set up and food were WONDERFUL! We got a lot of comments on how good the food was and also on the set up! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Act3 was fabulous. The food was great and their servers were nothing but polite. They also were responsible for the changing of the room from ceremony seating to reception seating which they did flawlessly. This was the main thing I was worried about, (taking too long, not getting the right things on the tables etc...) but they were SO fast and the tables were setup exactly how we had specified. It took them not longer than 10 minutes to have everything great. They also let us keep all the leftover food (which some caterers do not do) and all the leftover cake. I really cannot say enough about how good their service and food were, they are definitly 5 stars for sure!

Act 3 Catering was absolutely amazing. They not only made me feel comfortable about being a picky bride (changing small details here and there) but made specific things I wanted that weren't offered on the menu. We had a tasting at their location and were really treated with the utmost customer service. On the day the food was incredible. We had a breakfast buffet with mimosas and it turned out beautifully. The servers were constantly checking in with my husband and I to see if we wanted another mimosa, or if we needed a light snack in between socializing at different tables. They were really amazing especially for the price tag. We shopped around and met with three other caterers before Act 3 and can't believe the difference between their prices (ridiculously high) and their customer service (extremely low). Act 3 never once made me feel like anything was impossible.

Act 3 catering was easy to work with and always flexible to meet my schedule. During the tasting they went above and beyond, offering my family and our own individual plates for tasting--we did not have to share any of it! During the time of my engagement Dawn was easy to get a hold of for last minute details, and at my wedding Liz was a rock-star. I am hard pressed to find a time where I have felt so taken care of my people I hardly know. The wait staff was amazing as well and man oh man, the food was delicious! Each steak filet and chicken breast were cooked to perfection!
They are fantastic and well worth what we paid!

ACT 3 catered my wedding at Sanders Estate, and everything about the experience - the food, service and staff - was superb!

They were the only catering company we looked at that sat down and did a personal tasting with my fiancé and me. The prime rib was to-die-for, and our veggie friends said the portobello mushrooms were delicious. Donna and Janice were so easy to work with and very knowledgeable throughout the entire process, and the service staff and bartenders the day of the wedding provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend ACT 3 if you're looking for high caliber food and service for a reasonable price!

The food was a hit! we left with very little left and everyone had their fill. I was happy with the variety and portions. The staff was very accommodating and they did a great job setting up to match my theme. I would recommend them.

Act 3 catering was a good choice for us, even though it was not much of a choice. (our venue exclusively worked with them). In terms of responsiveness and flexibility, I could not have asked for more. The servers were so nice and sweet at the wedding and the women I worked with prior to the wedding never got made that I changed the menu like 7 times. I also changed the alcohol plan several times and everyone was super patient and nice about it. The food (beef strogonoff) was delicious when we went to the tasting, but I hate to admit it tasted nothing like the tasting at the wedding. I kind of anticipated this but I was still a little disappointed because they reassured me that it would taste exactly the same at the tasting. If anyone reading this has eaten bad beef strogonoff, you know why I was concerned. It was just a bit bland, but hey when you are cooking for 100 people, thats what happens. However, everything else made up for this. All the other food was great and people were raving about the wild greens salad, the house punch, and I personally really liked the rustic hearth bread.
