I can't say enough great things about our experience! The venue was absolutely gorgeous, and every detail was beautiful. The flowers were even more stunning than I expected and made everything feel so elegant and special.
The biggest highlight, though, was our photographer, Rylee. From the moment we met her, she made us feel so comfortable and welcome. She took the time to make sure we were relaxed, gave us great direction, and truly made the whole experience enjoyable.
When we got our photos back, we were completely blown away. They are the most breathtaking photos I've ever seen, and she captured every special moment so perfectly. We'll treasure them forever.

I truly can’t put into words how amazing the entire experience was. Everything went so smoothly from start to finish, and I honestly wasn’t stressed even once. That says so much about the care, organization, and professionalism you both put into what you do.
The flowers were absolutely beautiful, the photography was amazing, and Rev. Jeff gave us such a meaningful ceremony that we will cherish forever. Every little detail was perfect. The cake and cupcakes were exactly what we hoped for, and they tasted just as incredible as they looked!

My husband and I decided to get married on a whim during my residency year with a small window for weekends we were so fortunate to find Above The Mist. We had contacted Above The Mist 6 weeks prior to the date and the team made our vision come to life. The overall experience was effortless and the Above The Mist team took the stress out of planning and coordinating a wedding. Exactly what we hoped for
Our wedding at Above the Mist felt exactly like we'd hoped, intimate, emotional, and completely us. The mountain views were stunning, and Reverend Jeff made the ceremony feel personal and heartfelt, even with it just being the two of us. Mountain View ceremony
We had our wedding ceremony at Above the Mist with the mountain view package. The experience was absolutely great. The scenery and natural beauty of this location is truly unmatched, reverend Jeff made it significantly more special, and the photographer had a positive fun energy and did a great job. It was a perfect day!
This was both our second wedding. We knew we wanted small and intimate and simply… us. Above the Mist made our dreams come true. Planning from out of state was so easy. The Above the Mist representatives are very responsive and everyone who we came into contact with was sweet and answered our questions with kindness. Rev Jeff was great! He was so sweet to us and the ceremony was perfect and touching. The mountain venue… WOW! I did not get to take it all in until I was at the altar and it was absolutely breathtaking. Ryan Grace was our photographer and she did an absolute amazing job! We got our gallery back quickly and she captured our day beautifully. Pictures attached were taken by family as we have not downloaded our gallery yet. But her work was amazing, she captured so many moments, big and small! I am so happy with how everything turned out. The venue was flexible with the wedding package as I had some requests and they were willing to negotiate. The venue is very strict on timeframe, the email you get prior can be somewhat intimidating but it’s simply the representatives ensuring you have a perfect day and don’t get any fines. Once you are there, everyone is focused on making your day perfect. Big or small wedding, above the mist does a wonderful job and I highly recommend to anyone in Tennessee or anyone looking to elope! It was the wedding of my dreams ❤️

If you're a minimal planner, they are definitely the way to go. Flowers, music, the reverend, photographer, and even more depending on your package are included! Valerie did an amazing job with the pictures and paid attention to detail. Rev Jeff was so kind, and the rest of the staff were great too. All of my guests loved the place as well.

I will be upfront and tell you that we get money off on our photos for reviews that we leave, however I cannot recommend Above the Mist and Valerie enough! From start to finish, they made our wedding day absolutely seamless. The venue itself is stunning and the mountains provided the perfect backdrop for our day, but what really blew us away was how well the ceremony and the photography came together. Valerie knew every single inch of the property, capturing the light and the scenery perfectly. The staff was incredibly accommodating, professional, and kept everything running smoothly. We had the absolute best experience with Above the Mist planning our small, remote ceremony! Since we were planning from NC, we had a ton of questions, but the entire staff was incredibly accommodating and answered everything along the way. For a small, 18 person ceremony, we were able to get a reasonable package that included everything we wanted. Rev. Jeff was fantastic, and our photographer, Valerie, was so professional. The views were spectacular and the whole process was completely stress-free and easy. I honestly can’t recommend them enough!

We had an amazing elopement ceremony on the mountain. It ended up being a rainy day but they had a backup sheltered area. Flawless All Inclusive Wedding Package
We had an incredible experience with Above The Mist Weddings. From start to finish our day went incredibly smooth. They handled quite literally everything which let us coast through our special day without all the typical wedding stress. From the very beginning my experience was absolutely wonderful, easy informative, so easy to get ahold of and stay in contact with! I felt very valued the entire time! Then I get to wedding day and all I can say is WOW!!! What a wonderful experience, the coordinator the pastor the photographer….wonderful! People say having a good photographer is the most important thing, well if that’s what you are looking for book Above the Mist because the pictures the view the experience is unbeatable!!

Wonderful April fools wedding
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with this wedding vendor. Jimmy, the officiant, was truly wonderful—professional, warm, and incredibly thoughtful in how he delivered our ceremony. He struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and meaningful, making the moment feel deeply personal and unforgettable for us.
Valerie, the photographer, was absolutely fantastic. She was organized, responsive, and such a calming presence throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, she captured every moment beautifully and effortlessly, making us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Her attention to detail and ability to preserve the emotion of the day really stood out.
Together, they made an amazing team and played a huge role in making our special day so memorable. We’re so grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for vendors who genuinely care and deliver exceptional service.

Amazing Smokies Wedding!
We had our micro wedding with above the mist mountainside on March 5th! They were wonderful! They made the planning seamless and worry free! They were very professional during planning and day-of. Our coordinator Jimmy made sure the exact version of my bridal entrance song played, even though the MP3 wasn’t working. Our officiant Joey did an AMAZING ceremony that we will cherish, and Valerie did amazing on the photographs that we’ve gotten to see so far! (She had the sneak peek for us within 4 hours of the ceremony!)

So amazing, so intimidate so breathtaking
We are so incredibly happy with how our elopement went with Above The Mist! If you're looking for something just the two of you I recommend them! They were there for every step of the way willing to ask any questions I had! I don't even live in TN and they made it so easy!! Above The Mist helped us plan our wedding from out of state in about two months and they absolutely did amazing! Everyone was extremely helpful. Valerie went above and beyond to get amazing photos and helped me incredibly. I still can't thank her enough!! We got the greenery circle arch and bouquets for my daughter and myself and all of it was so beautiful and really looked perfect! Our experience with Above the Mist in Gatlinburg, TN was amazing! My wife and I live in Illinois. We were able to communicate with staff remotely to plan every detail for our special day. That was the most convenient part of the planning. Staff was quick and helpful with email responses. And on our wedding day we were confident and ready for everything, thanks to the amazing staff.

Above the Mist was the best choice we could have made for our wedding!! They helped us every step of the way and made this pretty much a turnkey wedding experience. Pretty much all we had to do was show up and smile and say I Do. The flowers were beautiful! The music was great. They were very flexible and easy to work with. They even accommodated our request for my husband to be able to sing to me during the ceremony. They have several venues to choose from. We chose the mountainside venue and it was absolutely gorgeous!! We had a fall wedding and wanted the beautiful fall colors in the background. We got that plus one better. It snowed the day before our wedding. The day of the wedding was beautiful with clear blue skies. The higher up mountains in the background had snow on them while the lower mountains in the foreground had all the fall colors. Just stunning! They responded quickly to all our jillions of questions and always with patience and kindness. I HIGHLY recommend them!! 5 stars. You cannot go wrong!!

What a beautiful experience! Coming from a bride who has the WORST anxiety, Above the Mist alleviated it immediately. Even with our guest’s car troubles (vehicle died at the venue/bottom of hill during arrival and exit).
Financially, this venue was one of the very few within our tight budget. Backdrop/aesthetic is beautiful - couldn’t have chosen a better location (Mountain View).
Upon arrival, my anxiety was high regarding logistics. Immediately upon arrival - the bridal party was met by staff (coordinator, Rev., photographer) who guided us and ironed out final details.
Valerie, our photographer, was such a wonderful photographer to work with. I appreciated her direct and assertive lead with each photo she took, her flexibility to capture moments we specifically wanted, and her ability to keep every moment light hearted. The sneak peak was supposed to arrive by day 4 - we received a sneak peak of our photos within 24 hours & they are BEAUTIFUL. She inquired if there were any edits we wanted specifically made & was receptive/responsive to additions.
Overall, the experience could not have been better. The only thing that could make it better is if we could relive our ceremony over & over. It was beautiful.

We had our ceremony at the gazebo. We drove from Indiana to get married - just the two of us. We questioned our decision to do it this way until we got there.
We are convinced that Reverend Jeff was selected by God just for us. We had just met him, but it was like he had known us our whole lives. The ceremony was personal and the things he said were just perfect. The atmosphere was amazing. The photographer, Jimmy, was great and took a lot of pictures.
We truly could not have asked for a better day and a better option for our special day! We are so thankful.

I was worried when we could only really email them but they were so great! If I needed anything they were there and helped me tremendously, they even let me purchase the food vendor through them all in one spot and they showed up, everything went so smoothly. Jimmy was such a great coordinator, I showed up asking if we could decorate the railing and he executed it perfectly. And Valerie was such an amazing photographer, she kept us all in line and knew exactly how to get the best photos with all of us in such a small window and they are beautiful, she is so great! There is just not enough good to say about this Venue!! The staff are hands down the most amazing people ever!! Beyond accommodating, very organized, and very affordable!! We did the Mountain View wedding and it was so worth it!! These people are seriously the most down to earth, and the sweetest people you’ll ever encounter, and I don’t say that lightly!! The photographer, she was the funnest to work with and captured our special day and moments so perfectly!! These people left such an impression on my husband and I. This wedding venue was top notch!!! The people envolved pulled the wedding off flawlessly. I can’t say enough great things about the photographer. She was extremely organized, friendly and did a great job creating perfect photos.

Absolutely Perfect Day, Thanks to Above the Mist!
Thanks to Above the Mist, our day was absolutely perfect! The views were amazing and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We were blown away by Rev. Jeff and his team who made the ceremony amazing and made it feel extremely personal. For such a quick and efficient service, they knocked it out of the park :)

Amazing personalization and service
When we shopped for our venue, we found Above the Mist and of course loved the price point. It offered a streamlined ceremony with gorgeous views and at a low price. And while the views were gorgeous and the ceremony was well organized, what struck us was how deeply personal the ceremony turned out. Jeff was absolutely phenomenal. As my bride walked down the aisle, I shared a quick story of how our relationship started and he seamlessly worked it into his welcome. He did so well, we had family ask us how long we had known Jeff, when I had met him only 15 minutes before. The staff were quick to ask questions, they absolutely killed it with the bouquet and I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic Value!
We had the most incredible experience at Above the Mist! The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, and everything ran so smoothly. Valerie, our photographer, was amazing! She worked quickly and still managed to capture every moment perfectly. Our favorite part was how she got every single one of our guests in a photo (our favorite moment). We couldn’t recommend this venue more!

October Wedding
I attended the wedding for Kelsie and Clay in October and was amazed with how everything turned out. The mountains looked great and our family photos came out amazing Valerie our photographer did a great job and I would recommend this venue to anybody.

Mountain View wedding
This venue was the perfect backdrop for my cousin’s special day. The photographer did such an excellent job, capturing all the moments for our family, who was not able to make it to be able to see the beauty of the day. We are so glad she chose Above the Mist.

Wedding planning was a very long process for us when we were searching for venues for over a year, but when we finally found Above the Mist, we were thrilled with the service and we were able to book our wedding 35 days out, and still have an excellent time. Valerie, our photographer didn’t excellent job, and I have been thrilled with the photos we received very promptly.

Took a leap of faith
We loved using above the mist for our wedding. They made our wedding planning and execution easy. We booked our wedding 35 days out, and we were so nervous about making sure everything was done in time, but Above the Mist made it so much easier than I thought it was going to be. Valerie was a fantastic photographer, our pictures came out great.

Fall in Love
From the initial inquiry about using them to the actual day of our wedding, I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help us with our dream.
Any time we reached out, they were super responsive, but if for some reason there should be a delay in response, they would let us know so we didn’t feel like they were ignoring us. If we overlooked something, they ensured we circled back around to make sure that we had made the choices/decisions we wanted for our big day. In the months and days leading up to our wedding, they shared our excitement, and encouraged us, knowing nerves were beginning to settle in.
The day of our wedding, you would have never know it was our first time meeting the team in person. They made us feel like we’ve known one another for years, and at the conclusion, they made sure to let us know that they were there for us in the future if we needed anything from them. Our guests were shocked with how efficient and quick the team worked to get things set up, and to make sure that everyone was included. SUPER PROFESSIONAL. We could not have been happier with the team we were given through Above the Mist to make our big day into a reality.

Gatlinburg Elopement
I was extremely impressed with Above the Mist Wedding and Events from start to finish. I received a quick response from Megan telling me about the venues they offer as well as up front pricing, and she was very professional. This was a last minute decision for us and she was extremely helpful and made it as seamless as possible. When we got there we were greeted by the photographer Valerie and the minister Jeff. Valerie informed us of the process and Jeff took time with us and spoke with us about our history (how we met, how long we’ve been together, etc). The ceremony was simple yet beautiful and Jeff, having just met us, still added touches that made it feel personalized. Valerie did a great job with pictures. She has already shared a sneak peak and I was blown away by how good they looked.

Simply in Love
My husband and I went with Above the Mist for a private wedding. We went with the Simply in Love package. Start to finish, it was incredibly easy. They were in contact with us every step of the way. The minister reached out a couple of times prior to the wedding to make sure we got exactly what we wanted out of the ceremony. We were greeted by him and the photographer. They made the whole process fun and stress free.

I am SO happy we used Above the Mist for our destination wedding in Gatlinburg TN. The Mountain View location was absolutely stunning. I loved the “all inclusive” aspect of using Above the Mist, it made my wedding day very low stress. We really loved Valerie our photographer as well, she takes amazing photos and gave great directions to get the perfect shot. I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to book my wedding through. They were very helpful and responsive any time we had questions! Definitely recommend!

The gods beauty on display
So lovely in the fall but any time of year gives a beautiful background. Anybody would be happy to have this location as part of their day. Valerie did a fantastic job.
