We got married at the Mountain View venue in Sept. 2026. Megan was extremely helpful in providing us with all the information about our wedding package and was very responsive. Reverend Jeff made us and our guests feel very comfortable, and he did an excellent job overall. Ryan Grace was our photographer and took great photos of us and our family. Justin was our day-of coordinator and was very nice and helpful in explaining everything to us. All in all, we could not be more pleased with the Mountain View venue and Above the Mist Weddings. -

We had a small wedding at the Mountain View venue in Sept. 2026. Since reaching out to Above the Mist Weddings in Dec. 2025, Megan was extremely helpful in providing us with all the information about our wedding package and helping us make selections for our flowers, cake, etc. Anytime we had questions, Megan was very responsive, often responding within hours and even on the weekends. We met Reverend Jeff when we viewed the venue and did our cake tasting. Reverend Jeff made us feel very comfortable, as if we had known him for years. He called us a couple of weeks before the wedding and walked us through all the details of our ceremony. We were extremely happy with his services and his hospitality towards our guests. On the day of, Ryan Grace was our photographer. She was extremely sweet and took GORGEOUS photos of us and our family in front of the mountain scenery. Justin was our day-of coordinator and did a great job explaining the process and giving instructions for walking down the aisle. All in all, this was a perfect, beautiful venue with wonderful staff that made the entire process as seamless and stress-free as possible. We could not be more pleased with the overall value we received from the Mountain View venue and Above the Mist Weddings. -

I found them from just using Google and wow best decision ever. I was able to call or email for any questions I had with no problem. The ceremony was beautiful and the officiant was warm and kind. My bouquet was gorgeous and the photos are so worth it. I normally don’t like photos of myself but I absolutely love them all. If you want a beautiful wedding, go here! -

If you are looking for an intimate, stress-free, and truly unforgettable wedding in the Great Smoky Mountains, look no further than Above the Mist in Gatlinburg. It was the wedding of our dreams, and every single moment was absolute perfection!
From the day we chose our date and placed our deposit, the planning began—and Megan made the entire journey effortless. Even for our small, intimate package, we received so much more care, time, and attention than we ever imagined. Communication was flawless every step of the way. From color palettes and gorgeous flowers to our music selections, timeline, and every tiny detail in between, they genuinely cared about the little things that made our day personal and unforgettable.
Their attention to detail blew us away. When I mentioned wanting a river baptism before our wedding, Megan didn’t miss a beat and connected us right away with Rev. Jeff. When my husband hand-tooled a custom leather bouquet holder, the team carefully measured my bouquet in advance to ensure a flawless fit. That level of thoughtfulness is simply unmatched!
And the setting? Location, location, location! Vance Mountain provided the most breathtaking, serene backdrop for our intimate vows. Thanks to Ryan’s incredible talent behind the camera, we walked away with the most stunning, timeless photographs that we will treasure for a lifetime.
Above the Mist is so much more than a venue. Megan, Ryan, and Rev. Jeff didn’t just feel like a vendor team—they welcomed us with so much genuine warmth and heart that they truly felt like family celebrating with us.

Above all the wonderful things I could say about our wedding, choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made. We are from out of town and drove 8 hours to celebrate our wedding here with some of our family, and honestly, we wouldn’t change a single thing. It was truly that perfect. 🤍 Booking & Planning: From the very beginning, Megan was absolutely wonderful. She answered every question I had (and there were plenty!), gave me realistic quotes, and helped guide us toward the best pricing while still keeping our wedding dreams in sight. She was so incredibly sweet and genuinely cared about making our vision come to life. I even showed her my Pinterest wedding inspiration board, and somehow, she made it all happen! As we got closer to the wedding, Megan continued to make sure every last-minute detail and request was taken care of. She went above and beyond to make sure our big day was exactly what we had envisioned. Our Wedding Day: Our day-of coordinator, Ryan, along with Rev. Jeff, were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcomed, cared for, and special. My husband and I were both SO nervous with all of the wedding-day emotions and nerves, but they were incredibly personable and immediately made us feel comfortable. They reassured us, guided us through everything, and helped make the entire day feel effortless. We never once felt rushed or like we were watching the clock. Instead, we felt like we were able to truly slow down, enjoy each other, and soak in every moment of our wedding day. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and they made sure we were in all the perfect spots to take everything in and capture the beauty around us. Every little detail felt so thoughtfully handled. The photographers were also incredibly sweet, and we are so excited to see our professional pictures! The photos I’m sharing below are just personal pictures we took ourselves—not the professional photos. We loved the venue and our experience so much that I couldn’t wait to share this review before even getting our pictures back! If you are considering this venue, DO IT. Especially if you are traveling from out of town, I can’t recommend it enough. The entire experience was beautiful from beginning to end, and the people who helped make our wedding happen truly made us feel like our day was as important to them as it was to us. We will forever be grateful that we chose this place to begin our marriage. There truly isn’t a single thing we would change. Everything about our wedding elopement was easy and understandable with Above the Mist! Megan helped us choose and arrange everything (I contacted them on Monday and was able to reserve a mountain overlook for Friday). Rev. Couldn't be happier dealing with above the mist. Rev Jeff alone made it worth the money. He kept in contact before the big day and personalized everything. We had a flower girl and forgot petals. He drove down to the office and picked some up for us. James, the coordinator, kept everything running on time and moved everything around while Rev Jeff was getting the petals. Ryan, the photographer, was taking pictures as soon as Nicole arrived. She worked with Nicole on certain shots she wanted from Instagram too. She was incredibly sweet and grabbed every shot possible. Megan worked with us on setting up all the dates, payments, and any questions we had including floral arrangements. The location was beautiful. Pictures really do not do any justice. I was blown away when I arrived and saw how gorgeous the setting and location was. This was worth every penny. Thank you so much putting together our big day into a perfect package. Above the Mist really exceeded every expectation that we had. -

July Wedding
I would highly recommend this company to anyone getting married in the TN/Gatlinburg area wanting a more intimate wedding. We were able to get everything we wanted out of our wedding day and more. We appreciated that the company held strong family values and were able to meet the needs of our Christian values in our ceremony. Reverend Jeff was helpful, personable, and went above and beyond on multiple accounts. He and James were a great calming presence on what is typically a hectic and chaotic day. Our photographer Ryan was quick and efficient but not at the cost for quality pictures. We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding photos turned out. Lastly, we are beyond grateful for James our wedding coordinator. Every question I had was answered and the whole ceremony ran smoothly.
I was initially nervous about hiring a company out of state and not being able to view or rehearse anything prior, but they took all the stress out of planning the wedding and made it simple and easy to manage. I am grateful for everyone that worked to help make our wedding so special. -

This was both our second wedding. We knew we wanted small and intimate and simply… us. Above the Mist made our dreams come true. Planning from out of state was so easy. The Above the Mist representatives are very responsive and everyone who we came into contact with was sweet and answered our questions with kindness. Rev Jeff was great! He was so sweet to us and the ceremony was perfect and touching. The mountain venue… WOW! I did not get to take it all in until I was at the altar and it was absolutely breathtaking. Ryan Grace was our photographer and she did an absolute amazing job! We got our gallery back quickly and she captured our day beautifully. Pictures attached were taken by family as we have not downloaded our gallery yet. But her work was amazing, she captured so many moments, big and small! I am so happy with how everything turned out. The venue was flexible with the wedding package as I had some requests and they were willing to negotiate. The venue is very strict on timeframe, the email you get prior can be somewhat intimidating but it’s simply the representatives ensuring you have a perfect day and don’t get any fines. Once you are there, everyone is focused on making your day perfect. Big or small wedding, above the mist does a wonderful job and I highly recommend to anyone in Tennessee or anyone looking to elope! It was the wedding of my dreams ❤️ -

From start to finish, they made our wedding day absolutely seamless. The venue itself is stunning and the mountains provided the perfect backdrop for our day, but what really blew us away was how well the ceremony and the photography came together. Valerie knew every single inch of the property, capturing the light and the scenery perfectly. The staff was incredibly accommodating, professional, and kept everything running smoothly. Since we were planning from NC, we had a ton of questions, but the entire staff was incredibly accommodating and answered everything along the way. For a small, 18 person ceremony, we were able to get a reasonable package that included everything we wanted. Rev. Jeff was fantastic, and our photographer, Valerie, was so professional. Great wedding venue!
Our experience with Above the Mist in Gatlinburg, TN was amazing! My wife and I live in Illinois. We were able to communicate with staff remotely to plan every detail for our special day. That was the most convenient part of the planning. Staff was quick and helpful with email responses. And on our wedding day we were confident and ready for everything, thanks to the amazing staff.

She has such a keen eye for detail and created stunning shots, both individually and as a couple, while utilizing the breathtaking natural surroundings as our backdrop.
What we appreciated the most was her willingness to listen to our ideas and incorporate them into the shoot. She was patient and never rushed us, even when we went over our allotted time. It was clear that Valerie genuinely enjoyed being part of our special day, and her enthusiasm made the experience all the more memorable. We are so grateful for the beautiful memories she captured! Unforgettable easy wedding
Everything went smoothly with this company. Reverend Jeff was perfect throughout the ceremony and the photographer Valerie was even better than expected. She took her time and took more pictures, even after the allotted time to make sure that we had special memories. The coordinator, Jimmy made sure everything ran smoothly and looked beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for an easier wedding. -

Above the Mist was the best choice we could have made for our wedding!! They helped us every step of the way and made this pretty much a turnkey wedding experience. Pretty much all we had to do was show up and smile and say I Do. The flowers were beautiful! The music was great. They were very flexible and easy to work with. They even accommodated our request for my husband to be able to sing to me during the ceremony. They have several venues to choose from. We chose the mountainside venue and it was absolutely gorgeous!! We had a fall wedding and wanted the beautiful fall colors in the background. We got that plus one better. It snowed the day before our wedding. The day of the wedding was beautiful with clear blue skies. The higher up mountains in the background had snow on them while the lower mountains in the foreground had all the fall colors. Just stunning! They responded quickly to all our jillions of questions and always with patience and kindness. I HIGHLY recommend them!! 5 stars. You cannot go wrong!! -

Perfect Day
My daughter and her husband love visiting the mountains in Tn. This venue gave the perfect background for their wedding ceremony. The pictures are phenomenal and so was the staff. Can’t thank them enough!

What a beautiful experience! Coming from a bride who has the WORST anxiety, Above the Mist alleviated it immediately. Even with our guest’s car troubles (vehicle died at the venue/bottom of hill during arrival and exit).
Financially, this venue was one of the very few within our tight budget. Backdrop/aesthetic is beautiful - couldn’t have chosen a better location (Mountain View).
Upon arrival, my anxiety was high regarding logistics. Immediately upon arrival - the bridal party was met by staff (coordinator, Rev., photographer) who guided us and ironed out final details.
Valerie, our photographer, was such a wonderful photographer to work with. I appreciated her direct and assertive lead with each photo she took, her flexibility to capture moments we specifically wanted, and her ability to keep every moment light hearted. The sneak peak was supposed to arrive by day 4 - we received a sneak peak of our photos within 24 hours & they are BEAUTIFUL. She inquired if there were any edits we wanted specifically made & was receptive/responsive to additions.
Overall, the experience could not have been better. The only thing that could make it better is if we could relive our ceremony over & over. It was beautiful. -

Great Venue
I was worried when we could only really email them but they were so great! If I needed anything they were there and helped me tremendously, they even let me purchase the food vendor through them all in one spot and they showed up, everything went so smoothly. Jimmy was such a great coordinator, I showed up asking if we could decorate the railing and he executed it perfectly. And Valerie was such an amazing photographer, she kept us all in line and knew exactly how to get the best photos with all of us in such a small window and they are beautiful, she is so great! Would highly recommend! -

There is just not enough good to say about this Venue!! The staff are hands down the most amazing people ever!! Beyond accommodating, very organized, and very affordable!! We did the Mountain View wedding and it was so worth it!! These people are seriously the most down to earth, and the sweetest people you’ll ever encounter, and I don’t say that lightly!! The photographer, she was the funnest to work with and captured our special day and moments so perfectly!! These people left such an impression on my husband and I. They will always have a special place in our hearts!! Not only do they exude such professionalism, but most importantly they exude Jesus, and it just beams off them.. his love, patience, kindness, gentleness!! That’s what makes the venue and the staff so so so special!! They truly love what they do and desire to make your day special!! -

Above the Mist was excellent. Reverend Jeff was extremely nice and very reassuring. Megan was great with getting back to me whenever I had questions and, again, assured me that everything was organized on their end even if it didn’t feel like it on my end. She put together the most beautiful flowers! Valerie was phenomenal with her photography experience. She was quick and knew exactly what she wanted. She definitely exceeded our expectations. I loved that. The site was just breathtaking. Gorgeous views. Perfect weather. I couldn’t have asked for a better day! Wonderful staff. I highly recommend this venue!
