Our wedding at ABOVE was absolutely magical — from start to finish, everything was flawless. The venue itself is breathtaking — the rooftop views, elegant décor, and stunning lighting created the most romantic atmosphere we could ever imagine. It truly felt like we were floating above the city celebrating with the people we love most.

A special thank you to Jennifer, our wedding planner, who was the heartbeat behind it all. She guided us every step of the way with such grace, professionalism, and genuine care. Jennifer made us feel like we were her only couple — every detail was handled with perfection, and her calm confidence allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the day.

Jackie, my bridal attendant, was an absolute angel. From fluffing my dress to making sure I ate, she anticipated everything before I even had to ask. I truly don’t know how I would’ve made it through the day without her!

We got married at Above in Staten Island and it was truly a dream come true! The venue is absolutely stunning, modern and elegant with floor-to-ceiling windows and the most breathtaking sunset views. It was the perfect backdrop for our special day.

From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Jennifer, our wedding coordinator, was amazing, she had an answer for everything and guided me through planning every detail seamlessly. The coordination was top-notch, the service was pristine, and the food was absolutely delicious.

The bridal attendant, Jackie, and the maître D, Tom, were incredible and made me feel completely taken care of all day long. Another huge plus was the location, the venue is attached to the hotel, so we stayed on-site for getting ready, photos, and the ceremony. It was so convenient for both us and our guests.

It was the perfect day in every way. I wish I could do it again and again! Highly, highly recommend.

It’s hard to even summarize how perfect working with Above was. A special shout out to Alessandra, Jackie and Tom and everyone else who helped behind the scenes to coordinate our perfect wedding day. They rolled with every punch we threw their way and ultimately made things as stress free as you can get with a wedding. The all-inclusiveness of the Above package was seriously the best way to go for my high-strung self. Every little thing was taken care of, even down to the cake. The actual venue itself is gorgeous, balcony views stunning and we were blessed with perfect weather. We even had our ceremony outdoors at the Trellis which looked like something out of a fairy tale! 1000 out of 1000 would recommend

This venue was beyond magical. From planner (Alessandra) to bridal attendant (Jackie) to the maitre’d (Tom)…we have never felt more special & loved. The rooftop and cocktail hour was filled with delicious dishes all our family and friends raved about, and the ballroom was breathtaking. The table-side service was impeccable! It was the most wonderful day my husband and I could have ever hoped for. Everything went smoothly & it was a wedding for the books! Xoxoxoox hope to go back soon for another person’s wedding! My husband and I had our cocktail reception at Above this past Friday and it was nothing short of amazing!!!! We had the absolute best time as well as all of our guests! Everyone is still talking about it. It was an all around great time. The food was perfect, the music, the atmosphere - AMAZING. Jennifer was absolutely amazing to work with since we started planning in 2020. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was on point for us the day of the wedding. We got married at ABOVE November 2022! We could not have asked for anything better!! First i would like to personally from the bottom of our hearts than Jennifer Finch for everything she have done, and literally going ABOVE and beyond, now we know why the venue is called Above- The attention to detail for the event and how you made our vision literally come to life was absolutely mesmerizing , from the staff, waiters, bridal attendant and maître D- were so coordinated and precise with everything, you made our day come to life!!!, We still have no words but just utter perfection on every single aspect!!!! My husband and I had our wedding at Above and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. First off, Jennifer was truly fantastic. She kept me organized and on track with wedding planning, was always readily available to answer any questions I had during planning and was so helpful in all of her advice she offered. The day of the wedding our bridal attendant Jenn and maitre'd Tom were both an absolute pleasure. They went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The venue was stunning, food incredible, and all of our guests had a fantastic time. Added bonus of the hotel rooms so no one had to drive home. It was such an amazing wedding venue, zero regrets whatsoever!

My now husband and I were together for 11 years prior to our wedding day. We were 18 when we started dating and spoke about the potential of this day many times. We always knew we wanted a modern-esk cocktail style party, as we felt we did not want to stop dancing to eat. When we got engaged we mentioned this idea to a few people and they all recommended Above. When we visited Above for the first time, the elevator doors opened up, our jaws fell to the floor and we instantly knew this was the place we wanted to celebrate our long awaited wedding. Jenn (our wedding planner) was INCREDIBLE. She assisted us with our vision and the many questions to help execute the wedding of our dreams. Jackie (my bridal attendant) and Tom (our Maitre d') were the most "on top of it" people we could have asked for, so sweet, professional and amazing in every sense of the word! Every aspect of the day was exactly what we envisioned and more. That night friends and family were telling us this was the best wedding they have ever been to. 10/10 in every aspect.

I met with Jen and she was wonderful. Extremely helpful and put my mind at ease with wedding planning. She was able to meet with me after giving her only 45 minutes notice even though she had a full plate that day. I'm happy we went to meet with her and even happier we have a beautiful venue now for our wedding.

This place was jaw dropping beautiful. It was the only place my husband and I went to see and it was the only place we wanted to see. Above Rooftop had the nicest staff. We were in great hands, especially with Sue Vaiana. She helped us with literally everything from booking the venue, booking our rooms for the night of and for our guests, picking our food for the reception, getting us connected with our flower vendor, tech and lighting vendor and taking care of us the day of. They delivered the whole package. I was so scared of experiencing that wedding planning nightmare that I hear so much about, but everything was flawless! We couldn’t have picked a better venue and staff to help us with our best day ever! We are forever grateful to Sue, the Nicotra’s and the whole Above Rooftop/Hilton staff!

My husband and I just got married above 9 days ago on NYE ! It was a dream come true ! I don’t even know where to begin . The Venue is gorgeous ! The workers are hands down the best !!! We worked with Jennifer finch and she made sure everything was perfect for us and listened to every detail we had and she did it ! She is so sweet and easy to work with ! Also the bridal attendant Jackie she is by your side alll day long and makes sure everything is how you want it and helps you all day . Everyone that we worked in during our wedding were just so welcoming and nice and I couldn’t be more happy with where I choose to have my wedding . It was so magical and lovely and the whole venue just makes you feel like family and you really become a true queen and king that day and they sure make you feel it ! Love love love !!!

Ahhh, where to begin.. My husband and I recently celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary!! Yay US =)

Our wedding took place at Above on September 3rd, 2017 and it was beyong our wildest expectations. We had a fairytale wedding of our dreams with the help of the Above/Hilton staff members.

Our wedding coordinator Sue was truly a godsend. She was so wonderful - helpful, attentive, knowledgeable and funny! Sue made our wedding dreams come true with her thoughful suggestions and feedback. She was so easily reachable via phone, email and in person. She walked us through everything and made sure that we were 10000% with all of our decisions. She worked with us every step of the way and we continue to stay in touch because we love her! We are absolutely certain that you will be in wonderful hands with her (& everyone who works at Above/Hilton). The service at Above and the Hilton was exceptional. Everyone there was so helpful, attentive and really made it about the bride and groom.

Now for our venue, ABOVE IS STUNNING! It is modern, beautiful, clean and perfect! We loved everything.. from the outdoor ceremony space, to the cocktail hour space, to the reception space which was spectacular. The food, ohhh the food - we could not get enough of our cocktail hour food. We were not one of those couples that did not eat. We chowed down because we knew it would be amazing! (Sue had amazing suggestions for the menu and we trusted her 100%!!)

A huge thank you for everyone at Above who made our day absolutely unforgettable. We cannot stop raving and raging about Above and our experience there. We highly recommend Above Rooftop to everyone and know that you will love it just as much as we did!! =D

On October 27, 2017 a fairy tale wedding came true for my husband and I at the Above, located in the Hilton Garden Inn, Staten Island.
The day was perfect from the beginning to the end because of the professionalism shown by all. Especially my event planner Sue Vaiana for her impeccable service. From our first meeting to my reception, she made all my wishes come true.
When my guests arrived they were greeted with flutes filled with champagne and an escorted ride up the elevator to our ceremony. The ambience was perfect, the room was filled with flowers, candle light and a view of a perfect sunset. Vows were exchanged and everything felt magical.
Off to the cocktail hour on the rooftop. The hors d’oeuvres and cocktails kept flowing. Some guests even ventured outside to sit by the fire and enjoy the breathtaking view.
The reception was amazing, out maitre’d, Jeff, did not miss a beat and everything went as planned. Delicious food prepared by Chef Matt, endless drinks and a perfect ending with a gorgeous topsy turvy cake.
I would especially like to thank the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra for attending my wedding. They are always a visible presence at every affair to ensure their guests are having a good time. Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra, you definitely made this bride and groom feel very special!

I have absolutely no amount of words that I can say to express how amazing my wedding was at above!!! From the moment we booked right up until we walked down the aisle and partied the night away...the staff at above made everything so perfect. Jackie was my bridal attendant for the day and she was phenomenal...we had our son in our wedding and she helped us have the smoothest wedding ever! My guests loved the food, cabanas and venue. I am so thankful to have had my wedding at above because the truth is...it was unforgettable!

Wow! Not sure where to begin. I guess I will start with Jennifer Finch (Jenn) my really awesome wedding coordinator/planner. From the day I met Jenn she was not only accommodating, but also genuinely excited and interested in my big day. She knew the ins and outs of my entire event, and could be called on for just about anything. Jenn made my dream wedding happen at truly THE most beautiful venue imaginable. Above is the most wonderful place you will visit. I am telling you, once you walk into the grand ballroom, you will FALL IN LOVE! I want to have my wedding all over again, to just enjoy the party as a guest, that is how truly wonderful the place is. The elegance and attention to detail they show at the venue made this a night to treasure for everyone.
The food was more than one can imagine, and it was truly incredible! Jenn accommodated our party who has severe allergies, and was sure to avoid using certain oils in all the foods cooked. It was like being in a dream. The venue is gorgeous, our pictures will be cherished for a lifetime. I cannot in words explain just how amazing Above is! Two words come to mind when thinking of Above; world class. From the moment we walked in the door and met Jennifer Finch, we new we were in the right place. The professionalism and hospitality made us feel at home. We planned our wedding in less than 3 months and Jenn and her staff were there every step of the way guiding us in the right direction. From the moment we arrived on Friday evening with car loads full of stuff, Jenn took control and allowed us all to be guests at our own wedding. We are amazed by the attention to detail, the quality of the food, and the professionalism of the staff. From planning to execution we never heard the word no, and even headaches were cared for. Our bridal attendant Jackie was outstanding and went ABOVE and beyond the entire night. We never had to ask for a single thing, almost as if she was reading our minds. Our Maitre'D Jeff coordinated a flawless affair and communicated with us throughout the evening. Chef Matt is definitely the king of the kitchen and we cannot wait to come back to have more of his food. Jenn works with the best vendors and we cannot be more grateful for the choices we had. Even Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra, the owners of the hotel and venue, were present overseeing the evening and checked on us the entire weekend. If you want to feel special and apart of an even bigger family, have your wedding at Above.

If you want to have a wedding of a lifetime book above . It's just absolutely gorgeous modern the views are gorgeous . The food the service just the people working there make you feel so comfortable and almost like a family . I will bridal Cordinator Sue was amazing she made everything just even more perfect then we could possibly ask for. My heart breaks for anyone who doesn't get married at Above.

Our big, loud, russian jewish wedding was out of this world. It was the greatest night of our lives, and three months later, it STILL is. Guests still call to this day expressing what a great time they had, and that was most important for us. This was a truly spectacular, not at all average wedding. Perfectly executed, we cannot say enough about Jennifer or Carroll. They were calm, helpful, easy to work with, so sharp, on top of their game from the day we met to the day after the wedding, and genuinely love their jobs because I feel like this friendship will last a lifetime. Don't walk, RUN, to Above and let them make your Pinterest dreams come true!

The Above at the Hilton Garden Inn could not be any more perfect for a wedding venue! The entire staff including Sue, the coordinator, Jeff the maitre'd, and Jacklyn the bridal attendant, were so accommodating, attentive, and professional. The venue itself was outstandingly beautiful! Of course, the food was incredible and there were more options to choose from than I could ever count! I have had several outstanding events at the Hilton before, but the Nicotra's really out-did themselves with this event. I wish I could repeat my wedding, just so I can have another event at the Above and I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!

When I look back on the best and worst decisions of our wedding planning process - our best by far was choosing the Above as our venue! The location itself is gorgeous and the ceremony spot gives you a view like I haven't seen elsewhere. It truly feels like your soul is at peace when you visit this venue. While shopping for wedding venues, my husband and I wanted something Classy, modern and non traditional - and this one met our needs with the beautiful Swarovski crystal Chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Manhattan skyline. The other thing that makes this venue a real catch, is that you get a romantic bridal suite at the Hilton Garden Inn the night of your wedding - with an extended checkout so you can sleep in! Their restaurant, Lorenzo's, allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner on site. Aside from the venue itself, my wedding planner, Sue and the Owners, Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra, are amazing people! They truly made us feel like family, and they accommodated just about every request we had. They step up and help with whatever needs to happen, so you don't feel like you are just thrown to the wolves on your day when there is so much going on. I felt like I could really sit back and relax on my wedding day because I knew they were taking care of whatever we needed. If you are looking for a breathtaking venue with views that can't be beat and owners that feel like family (all for a great value) you've definitely found the spot!

I cannot say enough about the venue and the service we received. Our guests were awed by the food, quality, view and overall professionalism of the venue and its entire staff. We had a great wedding planner and the vendors we used in house were top notch. This venue makes for a truly unique wedding.

If you want a fairy tale picture perfect wedding this is the place to go. The ball room is absolutely breath taking! The white walls and crystal ceiling made for AMAZING photos. The staff is awesome, especially Sue, in dealing with this detail oriented bride. No one even questions my crazy directions, which came with a truck full of boxes. EVERYTHING was handled perfectly. The staff at The Above helped me to sit back and enjoy every minute of our wedding the day. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and the party was out of control (in a good way) thanks to the Above and their recommended vendors. Our guests were blown away with our wedding as were we - we hear at every event that it was the best wedding they have ever been too. The proximity to the hotel made for an ideal location as many of our guests spent the night and partied in to the early morning hours thanks to the after party that was set up by the staff at the Above. If you want to book a venue and have peace of mind that nothing will go wrong this is the place you need to book.

I LOVED this venue for my wedding. Since the moment I walked into the ballroom I knew I didn't have to look any further. Our wedding coordinator Sue made us feel like we were the only couple she was working with and did not let a single detail go unchecked. Planning the wedding with them was a breeze and I was never worried that the day would be anything less than perfect. The night of the wedding, the entire staff was exceptional. Everyone was pleasant, professional and helpful to every single one of my guests. My bridal attendant Jen was amazing. It poured the entire night of our wedding and from the moment my car door opened she was there to greet me with an umbrella and did not allow a single drop of rain to touch my head while she got soaked. She was so sweet and helpful throughout the entire night. The food throughout the cocktail hour and reception was AMAZING I wish I could've eaten everything. We are about to celebrate our one year anniversary and our guests still talk about what an awesome experience they had from the food, service and all around atmosphere, all of which I contribute to The Above. I could not have asked for a more perfect night for my winter wonderland wedding and wish we could do it all again!

I had my wedding at Above last November. It was amazing! Everything from atmosphere to food was so unique and impressive to all our guests!!! A year later we still have guest telling us this was the best wedding they have been to in a very long time. There are so many wonderful things to say about this venue and their staff! We just celebrated our 1st anniversary and a year later our guests are still talking about our wedding!! One of the main reasons that we chose Above was that the space is absolutely stunning. We were wowed as soon as we stepped out of the elevators. Our event planner, Sue was so accommodating and really cared about making our day special. The night before the wedding I had to rearrange table seatings and she really calmed me down and helped me put everything together. The entire staff, from the bartenders, waiters, Maitre ‘d and bridal attendant not only made sure that my husband and I were taken care of but that my guests were as well. We also loved that the menu was so unique and offered many options compared to other venues. Our cocktail hour was held in the rooftop lounge. Our guests enjoyed the views of the city while sitting near the fire pits. There was plenty of food! My favorites were the passed tapas…chicken and waffles, grilled cheese and tomato soup! My husband loved the pizza station where the chef made buffalo chicken pizza as his special request. The reception was in the ballroom. The floor to ceiling windows around the ballroom and chandeliers are gorgeous. The décor…every last detail down to the table settings were perfect. We stayed in the bridal suite of the Hilton Garden Inn and we returned to the room that night to find that rose petals had been scattered throughout the room and a bottle of champagne on ice was waiting for us! The Nicotra’s even gave us a personalized gift! I can’t thank everyone enough for making our wedding a night to remember!!

My wife and I got married @ Above this past New Years Eve. Friends and family are still talking about it to this day. The space is beautiful, food phenomenal and the staff is out of this world. Our sales person: Sue Vaiana was jovial, charismatic and made the whole experience wonderful. Veronica and Jeff, the bridal attendant and maitre d' were so attentive it's like they were reading our minds. The Above & Nicotra family were beyond accommodating and we are eternally grateful for a wedding that was picture perfect.

I have nothing negative to say about Above! This was by far the best decision I made regarding my wedding, aside from the groom! Jennifer Finch was my wedding planner and she made the entire process a breeze. From day one Jen was an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I were planning this wedding while also preparing to graduate from dental and optometry school and Jen was so very understanding and flexible with our schedules. She listened to our vision and made sure to make everything happen!!
Now for the actual venue: Above is the most gorgeous place I have ever seen. The lighting absolutely gorgeous. The cocktail area has a gorgeous bar that you can change the light to match your wedding colors. There are also beautiful fire pits outside. There is an outdoor ceremony space, but it was raining on my wedding day so they had to move my wedding inside. I was upset at first, but it actually turned out to be even more beautiful having the ceremony in the dining hall.
The food was AMAZING!! My guests are still talking about how much food there was and how good everything tasted! Cocktail hour had so much variety! The best part was that during our tasting we had the chance to meet with the chef and he allowed us to fully customize our menu. He even added a Haitian dish that my mother requested!! He looked up the recipe himself and made sure our culture was represented, and it was delicious!
They also provided a bridal attendant and, between her, Jen, and he Maitre'de, everything ran like a well oiled machine. I did not have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day. They made sure everything and everyone was taken care of.
I so highly recommend Above and I most definitely recommend Jen!!!

Above was amazing in all aspects of our wedding.
You definitely don't feel like you're in Staten Island at this venue, but I still had the convenience of being on SI and close to where my family is.
Jenn, Sue (Coordinators), Jeff (Banquet Manager) and Brianna (Bridal Attendant) were absolutely fantastic. Every time I needed something at the wedding, Jeff and Brianna were right next to me already ready with what I needed.
My guests had a wonderful time and are still raving. The food was also top notch. Chef Frank has out done himself with the food at Above.

This was a spectacular venue! Everything was perfect!!! It had a sexy, unique and modern vibe, exceptional service, delicious food, attentive staff and a great energy. HIGHLY recommend it!

My daughter had her wedding here and it was a night to remember. They made sure everything was perfect and were very attentive to her needs. My only regret is that the night did not go on longer! :) All our guests were very happy and enjoyed themselves immensely! Our wedding coordinator there, Sue, was awesome as usual, (she also did her sweet 16) I can't recommend "Above" enough.

The place is beyond any words...PERFECT in all the aspects.

We had our wedding at Above in September 2015. My husband and I really wanted a hip, modern "city"-style wedding. When we visited Above, we knew it was the perfect place to create our romantic, Russian-American wedding with all the conveniences of home. We began the planning process over a year in advance, and had all of our parents at our sides for every decision given we were both busy in medical school. Sue was an amazing coordinator at every point managing the team. She has impeccable communication and therapeutic skills that helped create a flawless process and gorgeous wedding day.

We had a 10-hour Russian-American wedding event and post-wedding brunch. Every major and minor detail we wanted (there was MANY) was carefully noted and carried out. I was shocked and pleased at how we were able to create such warmth with a touch of rustic in the space… it’s truly transformable. My bridal attendants Veronica and Jackie were so professional. The maitre’d, Jeff, was putting in HARD work all night. Cocktail hour was phenomenal – our guests were enjoying Brazilian Jazz, sunset views of Manhattan, while eating anything their hearts may desire – endless sushi, lobster mac and cheese, scallops, the list goes on... For the ceremony, we nervously decided to have a nighttime ceremony in the space at the side of Above. I am so happy with the decision! With the help of Sue, the Above team, Bernard Flowers, and Classie Sounds (for lighting), the space was transformed into this magical, romantic ceremony...uuuhh LOVE!

For the reception, we had many special touches including Russian appetizers and macaroons for dessert. Chef Frank wanted to personalize every menu item for us to make sure we were 200% satisfied. He is SO thoughtful. The entire venue is extremely photogenic and the ambiance is pure elegance. We celebrated and danced till 2am. My family was so happy and felt truly special all day. Happy family = happy bride and groom! Thank you Above Weddings!

ABOVE and Beyond a Nightmare!
I so wish my ‘happy ever after’ could have been just that but the cards were not on my side and as embarrassing as my story is, I feel it is one to be shared so that something like this will not happen to you. For a good majority of you, it won’t happen but if it does, this is not the venue you want deal with. My fiancé and I chose Above Weddings in Staten Island and decided to go the non-traditional route and have a cocktail hour reception on the Above Rooftop. The deposit was $1,000 and I am the one who signed the contract as my fiancé had to work that day. I made the deposit on November 11th 2016. The wedding date was to be August 12th, 2017.
When it came time to make the 6 month prior to the wedding 50% deposit, my fiancé called the venue on February 23rd, 2017 without my knowledge and canceled the wedding. I found out by listening to a voice mail message from Gina, the wedding coordinator with whom I was working with.
