Both my sisters had Stephen and Sonia do their weddings and the photos were amazing. I actually had a bit of trouble convincing myself to follow in their footsteps so we hired someone else. When that photographer did our engagement session we knew we’d made a mistake and the photos confirmed it. At that point we called About The Day and got them to come to Texas for our wedding and we knew we'd made the right choice. The photos were even better than my sisters! yay! Actually, our only reason for not going with them straight-away was because we didn’t want to do what my sisters both did, but in the end we were blessed to get a second chance. Thank you so much About The Day. I'll have no problem convincing all my cousins and friends to use them too!

Simply the best!
It's difficult knowing it will be almost impossible to get everything you want when you know you're being unrealistic, but Stephen and Sonia were so amazing to work with that I simply couldn't believe my luck. Happy tears of joy
Before the wedding, my main concern was that we would feel awkward posing for photos. However, About the Day immediately put us at ease with their calm demeanor and clear direction during our initial calls and the engagement session. On the day of the wedding, Stephen & Sonia were fantastic. They not only captured all the key moments but also went above and beyond, even helping with my dress when a button came loose! They blended right in and captured so many natural, candid moments without ever being in the way. When we received our photos, we were absolutely blown away. We had a date night to look through the gallery and immediately started crying happy tears! The photos are more than just pictures; they perfectly capture the love, emotion, and energy of our day. The obvious choice for us
Helpful tip: Do not compromise on your photography! We debated on how much to spend and where cutting corners might save money, and in the end, we agreed photos were the one thing that needed to be 100% perfect, and Stephen and Sonia were not only the clear choice, but in the end, the best choice! There's so much to rave about! We loved everything Stephen & Sonia did! Dreamlike and Stunning Photography
This may sound a little extreme, but I mean it when I say, booking About The Day photography for my wedding day was the best decision about the day that I made. :) Okay, I guess picking the guy I married was the best decision, right, but having Stephen and Sonia there to document the most important day of my life still remains paramount. My best friend and her sister both booked About The Day for each of their weddings and after drooling over those gorgeous photos, I knew we needed to follow along. Sonia’s fairytale-style photography translates into a dreamlike memorial of the most important moments of our day, and Stephen’s photos are so dramatic and energetic. It’s an awesome balance they have together. I can actually see and remember the emotion of the exact moments. It is more than a picture. I am an anxious person to some degree, so having such a calming and truly easy going couple present on our big day made a world of a difference. They made both of us feel like movie stars or models; just enjoying the photo session and being caught up in the excitement. Those looking (so hopefully everyone) who wants the most beautiful, perfect, stunning wedding photos that you can imagine, make sure you book About The Day. Love at first sight!
Stephen and Sonia are such a great couple, and so very talented too! Gavin and I will be married 2 years in October and everyone that sees our photos are shocked at their beauty. I couldn't have found better photographers, and the fact that we got both of them was a huge bonus. They fit in so nicely with our friends and family and captured the day perfectly! They did our engagement photos and wedding photos and they turned out amazing. We still have people commenting on our photos all the time. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
Hiring About the Day was one of the first decisions we made for our wedding and it was easily one of the best. From our first interaction we sensed Stephen and Sonia would be great to work with and we were absolutely right. To kick things off we did an engagement shoot with them and we were blown away by the photos we got back. Not only were they objectively beautiful photos but they really captured who we are as a couple. One of the great things about working with Stephen and Sonia is that you've got two people keeping an eye out for great shots, helping to set up the other person's shots, etc. - while we expected there would be value in having a team rather than a solo photographer we didn't fully understand that value until we saw them in action. Fast forward many months after the engagement shoot to late spring 2020, when the realities of COVID-19 started to settle in and we realized we'd have to scrap all our wedding plans and transition to a live-streamed elopement ceremony. Not only were Stephen & Sonia on board to roll with the change they were genuinely really excited about all the opportunities a smaller event would provide for great photos - at a tough moment for us, this enthusiasm provided encouragement for us to keep looking for the silver linings. This would come to be true again when our late June wedding turned out to be a cold, rainy, cloudy day (during which we planned to be outside for nearly eight hours). Stephen and Sonia thought this forecast was amazing and would yield incredible photos, which again gave us something to look forward to in the midst of being really disappointed that we weren't going to have the weather we'd hoped for. In the end, they couldn't have been more right - the photos from our day are absolutely stunning, in large part because of the side effects of the weather (no shadows to contend with, incredibly green foliage due to being wet, etc.). They also agreed pretty last minute to add on a video package so we could capture more of the day to share with family and friends and we absolutely love the final product. If you choose to work with Stephen and Sonia you'll obviously get gorgeous photos and video because they're incredibly talented; what you'll also get are two people who absolutely love what they do and bring that enthusiasm and creativity to every shot, which makes them really fun people to spend time with. We highly recommend About the Day!

A Winning Team
We worked with Stephen and Sonia for our wedding photography and it was as stress-free as it gets. The two of them worked together seamlessly to capture all of our special request photos as well as all of the shots we didn't ask for but were thrilled with. They were fun and also professional which is often a difficult mix to pull off. We had no prior association with them and originally contacted them because we loved their photography style. Once we met them, we knew that they would be the perfect folks to capture our perfect day.

Stephen and Sonia from About the Day Photography were amazing. They showed up at the hotel in the morning to take pre-wedding photos of the bridal and grooms parties They were creative, fun and flexible. They also took engagement photos so they knew the bride and groom and their personalities prior to the wedding. What I loved most is they sent us a handful of photos 1-2 days after the event. Wedding photography's power couple!
We were beginning to think we'd never find the perfect photographers for our wedding. We're not overly picky or snooty or anything, but we wanted to really feel like there was a meeting of the minds, styles, personalities, and a highly recommended (reviewed) photography couple, and Stephen and Sonia were the perfect fit! We felt an instant bond when we saw their work and a total sense of relief when we finally met them. We received all that we'd hoped for and got more then our money's worth in the end too! A warm fuzzy feeling all around!
It was so easy to communicate with Stephen and Sonia; our photographers. I know picking up the phone isn’t fashionable anymore, but they were always there by phone, text, email, etc… They were extremely fair with their pricing and packages, and their professionalism raises the bar (and I heard that from a lot of our guests and friends too). Of course, what really matters in the end is gorgeous results and and wonderful warm feeling that they were perfect for us!

With Stephen & Sonia, everything was effortless and easy for us. Stumbling across their website was the biggest hallelujah in our entire planning process. The photos they take are amazing, but really when I look back, that's only one part of it! They are so fun to be around and make the part of the day my husband was dreading actually be a highlight afterwards. Obviously, the amazing photography we saw was our biggest reason for going with Stephen & Sonia, but I think they - themselves - are what made us certain we making the right decision, even when we kind of exceeded our budget. :) Our pics were glorious! They help us a few times over the phone beforehand to understand our choices and scheduling, which was a lifesaver because this is all new and unknown, but they also really understood what we were wanting and worked within our perimeters too. A few of our friends who recently got married we're really unhappy with the photographers they choose, and working with, and watching Stephen & Sonia, you could see they really wished they could go back and use About The Day too. I have nothing but high praise for Stephen and Sonja and their incredible talents. Their photography skills are obvious, but that alone wasn't my reason for choosing them. I think what won us over in the beginning was just their personalities and the fact that they really listen and care about what we where wanting. Every picture they took is a masterpiece and I still get all choked up when I go back and look through my album. Truly an amazing couple with a gift for making weddings beautiful forever.

Wedding photography was our highest priority because so many of our friends and relatives weren't able to be a part of wedding in Mexico, but we also didn't want to use the photographers that were almost being forced on us by our resort. Stephen and Sonia were the perfect photographers and solution for us, and even helped us a lot with the planning and what to do in a foreign location. After meeting with them we immediately knew they were the ones for us because of their photos (obviously), but also their personalities and their helpfulness. The money was well spent and we couldn't have been any happier with the results!

Our highest priority was to hire husband & wife photographers who produced amazing work, but still a couple like us; able to relate to us, and make us at ease. Stephen & Sonia were exactly that. Their easy-going and light spirits were contagious and we felt super comfortable. They easily became part of our group. We found them online, so communication was really important beforehand and they were always there to help! In the end the pictures were beyond our expectations (and that says a lot!) We couldn't be happier with our choice, and hope you'll give them the opportunity to impress you as well.

I actually got to see a preview of my wedding photos a year earlier when my sister hired Stephen and Sonia for her wedding and her photos were nothing short of fabulous. I knew I'd have them for my photographers even when I watched them working and interacting with everyone. They're a great team and a lot of fun too! I wish I could show you both our photos, but from all the other reviews, you'd be crazy not to hire them. Simply the best wedding photographers. Seriously!

About The Day was exceptional with our wedding photos. I had such a blast with them all day and I don't know how they did half the pictures they did. I knew the day is a blur, but did I really look that awesome! haha. I can tell you from experience, About the Day is amazing. You can tell they love doing what they do. We were totally shocked by the abilities of Steven & Sonia and the photos they took. I knew we were blessed to find them. Steven & Sonia were wonderfully charming and easy to work with, and it surprised me a bit that we would get great people and great photos! They had a really great sense of humor that allowed everyone relax and enjoy the time taking pictures (which, when I've been to other weddings, was dreadful), and had a blast. Check out their work. I wish we could do 6 stars! We love About The Day. We got married at a little winery back in 2015 year and as normal, we had some hiccups at our wedding; running late, crazy family, hair and makeup issues, etc... but despite it all they rolled with everything seamlessly and actually seemed to adapt quite well, turning things around into a perfect outcome. The pictures are nothing short of miraculous. Not only are these people very talented but they are wonderful people too. Sonia has kept in touch over the years and you can tell they really care about their clients. We love our photos & will cherish them always!

From start to finish, the entire process of working with AboutTheDay was really wonderful. We were impressed by their photography (obviously), but as so often is overlooked nowadays, that was only a part of what we loved about our experience. Stephen and Sonia are fabulous people and their friendly, helpful, and good natured attitudes make them instant friends. Our experience with About The Day Photography was completely wonderful and was far better then either one of us had expected. I'm not saying we weren't expecting pure magic, because we were... I'm just so impressed that getting those amazing photos was so much fun and really a great part of our overall wedding too. Both Stephen and Sonia are very easy to relate to, and they were instantly a part of our group too, and I think that made a big impression - since my sister has already hired them for her wedding next year now! This husband and wife photography team was the best decision we made when planning our wedding! Each and every one of the photos is breathtaking and my favorite!!!! I was really surprised - after wholeheartedly making up my mind - that Stephen and Sonya were from the other side of the country. I thought they were going to laugh when I told them I wanted them for my wedding and I must have stumbled upon them by accident, but instead, they were totally read for - and able to cover my wedding without any hesitation or issues. I can't tell you what an awesome photography couple they are in a few words, but I was so happy with my results and I've turned on several of my bridesmaids now to them as well, so I'll be seeing them again soon. Let me start by saying how seriously impressed I am with Stephen and Sonja. From the moment we read about them, I knew I had to have them. My husband will say it was when we saw their photography, but I'm pretty sure the price helped him a lot too! We were both surprised how much photography cost, but with them, it felt right and worth it, whereas often I had no clue to why the others deserved it when we started comparing everything. They are really in tune with our preferences and kept in touch with us prior to the wedding to really understand our goals, but they also were amazing photographers that really went beyond our ideas and stunned us with their images! So, first of all... "WOW!" About the Day blew our minds! What a fantastic husband and wife team! Steven and Sonia were such a wonderful breath of fresh air after searching photographers for weeks, and we knew it immediately too. They just were so genuine, helpful, and obviously talented that we were sold. We even moved our date because they were booked on the original date we'd chosen. How can I ever find the words to thank you guys properly? I really felt wonderful on my wedding day, but after seeing the pictures you guys took of me in my dress with sun behind me, I felt like a super model for the first time in my life and it was the best feeling ever! We used "About The Day Photography" and we total impressed. Thrilled, actually! The process of using them was easy and we enjoyed every moment. They were easy to work with and flexible. They shot our engagement photos in addition to our wedding. Our pictures/video came out excellent and we will cherish them forever.

I love, love, LOVE Photography! Everything about this husband & wife team is great.
I met them literally a year before my wedding and knew that they would be perfect for me. First off, the engagement photo session was included in our package, whether you chose for them to be your photographers or not! That value is great itself! On top of that, their pricing is very competitive - and remember that you aren't just paying for one photographer, you are paying for TWO! If you were to price two other photographers for your wedding, you will find that they are the best value.
Pricing aside, their personalities are fun and friendly, which made me feel much more comfortable getting hundreds of portraits taken in a span of several hours. They had some exciting photos that they like to take, and creative poses that you wouldn't expect. It helped take a lot of the stress away on my wedding day spending a few hours at a park getting some group shots out of the way before arriving at the venue.
Also, their suggestions for the timeline saved my skin because I would never have been able to fit in all of my bridesmaid/family photos if I hadn't taken their advice on getting them done before going to the venue! Their experience in dealing with weddings comes through in their professionalism too. My friends and family were impressed, and so was I! I definitely recommend their photography to EVERYONE! You won't be dissappointed!

It wasn't because we didn't love our pictures, because we really, really did, but more because all year long we've been marveling over them and bragging about you guys to everyone we know. To say we were blown away by the wedding photos we received from Stephen & Sonia would be an understatement! We were totally blown away!!! They are truly artists and we knew that from the start, but we were amazed at how well all the photos turned out, and how good we looked too. Our most sincere and deepest thanks to Stephen & Sonja of About The Day photography! Their hard work and talent shown through in all the pictures we had from our wedding! They were so much fun when they needed to be, and yet subtle and reverent when they needed to be as well, and that was appreciated - and noticed by our guests and family. We were totally blessed to find and have Stephen and Sonia as our wedding photographers. We had been searching for a photographer for months and kept getting funny feelings about most of those that we actually contacted, and Stephen and Sonia were just so genuine and easy to talk with that we were sold. Plus, we loved their photography and style too! I loved our photos and I'm not the only one either. My sister and 2 of my friends are now using About The Day as well.

Stephan and Sonia are so awesome! (Oh, wait... Back-story first!) Planning our destination wedding in Mexico was fun until we started running into the brick wall that the all-inclusive resorts have about using "their" photographers. They almost force you to take the photographers that they provide (yeah right), and who knows what you are going to get stuck with? Those included photos are okay at best, but hardly up to the standards and artistry that we wanted, and we'd already had friends who'd used About The Day and we wanted them too! We actually had to pay a penalty (grrr) to use Stephan and Sonia, but now (more then ever) I know it was worth it and I'm not even upset about it anymore. The pictures About The Day shot are amazing and simply took our breath away! We couldn't be happier if we tried.

We were so thrilled that we found About the Day for our wedding photography. I couldn't believe how amazing our photos looked, and we were shocked at all the detail and beauty that Stephen and Sonia captured at our wedding. They anticipated so much that we hand not considered, and were so helpful and courteous with suggestions that really mattered, that I cannot imagine how we could have made it without them! They also had a really great sense of humor that put everyone at ease and made the photos really fun. They caught our special moments with stunning photos we will cherish for a lifetime.

I found Stephen and Sonia through a friend of a friend on LinkedIn. I looked at their galleries and blog and we were hooked. They were great and putting my mind at ease for the wedding day and answered my questions. They captured all of the details of the wedding, got so many special shots, and some crazy artistic shots for our wall too. It was more than I could have hoped for and I am glad I chose them.

I am so happy we chose About The Day for or Wedding photographers. They knew exactly what we needed as a bride and groom. They were able to take candid photos of us AND our guests! It was the perfect experience and I feel like they captured every possible moment, and more! Sonia and Stephen were wonderful with the group photos. They were calm, professional, perfectionists, knew how to direct everyone so we all looked great, and took beautiful photos! Planning our wedding in England last year was really wonderful, but finding a photographer we loved from afar was a nightmare. We had a photographer [I wish I could name] who canceled on us only a few weeks before our wedding day. I was totally freaking out and felt lost. Thankfully, I was referred to Stephen & Sonia by one of my bridesmaids earlier, but I felt like I'd taken care of that part of my day and hadn't really listened then! Long story short, the unprofessional photographer canceling on us was the best thing that could have happened and I was so blessed to end up with Steven and Sonia. I found "About The Day" on Google and it was by complete accident, or [looking upwards] maybe not? :) Stephen & Sonia are such a joy to be around, and it's almost weird that people this cool can also be so professional and artistic too. This was a no brain'er for us because ABOUT THE DAY was exactly what we'd been hoping for, and it became more and more obvious as we got to know them. Gorgeous photography, reasonable rates, a husband and wife team, and sweet people too. The only thing that had us worried was their traveling, but again it is something they do for free, so even that was great!

About The Day was a total breath of fresh air in our search for wedding photography. I found About the Day last year and was really impressed by Stephen and Sonia's work and other customers raves about them right off the top, but when they showed up to my daughters wedding, I began to see just how great of a choice we had made! I could go on about their professionalism, or their style, or the fact that they got along with everyone so well that we actually felt bad to see them leave. Stephen and Sonia were a delight to work with and they kept everyone around them involved and enthusiastic. I could tell you so much more about any of those things, but truthfully the results were the highlight to a already wonderful experience!!! They posted some Facebook teaser photos a few days later the that seriously made me get all choked up and teary! Yes, I believe my daughter is very beautiful, but About the Day's photographic genius transformed her into something angelic and it was truthfully breathtaking! When we had the full gallery to look through, it turned into a huge event here at our home! Both families came over and we spent the night ooowing and aaahing and gasping for air. Ellen (my daughter) has been bombarded by compliments and questions about her photographers and she's even on a quest of her own to tell everyone about Stephen now too! We've all become Facebook Fan's of their business and would also recommend you visit the Facebook/About the Day page and see the gorgeous stuff they do all the time!
