April 10, 2026 - Working with Anita was one of the best decisions we made for our daughter’s wedding. From the very first meeting, she brought a sense of calm, confidence, and genuine care that immediately put us at ease. She listened closely to my daughter’s vision, added thoughtful suggestions, and transformed every idea into something even more beautiful than we imagined.
One of Anita’s greatest strengths was the way she coordinated seamlessly with every vendor. She kept everyone aligned, informed, and on schedule, allowing the entire day to unfold effortlessly. Her professionalism and attention to detail meant we never had to worry about a thing, she handled it all with grace.
The wedding took place at the Bernardus Lodge & Spa, and Anita made the entire setting feel absolutely magical. She highlighted the natural beauty of the venue, elevated it with thoughtful touches, and created an atmosphere that felt warm, intimate, and unforgettable. It was as if every corner of the property had been transformed into a moment waiting to be experienced.

Anita was absolutely incredible to work with as my wedding planner. She consistently went above and beyond to help bring my vision to life, and my wedding truly wouldn’t have run as smoothly without her. Throughout the entire process, she gave me so much peace of mind—she was reliable, extremely detailed, and always prepared.
Her thoroughness with even the smallest details saved me so much money, which was especially important since I was planning a destination wedding from Florida to Big Sur. She stayed super organized, always made herself available for calls, and eased any worries I had along the way.
On the wedding day, the presentation of the tables, linens & flowers were exactly what I envisioned. My jaw literally dropped seeing how beautifully everything came together. I’ve heard horror stories from other brides about planners who were unresponsive or added stress to the process, but I never experienced that with Anita. I trusted her completely, and you truly cannot go wrong by hiring her.
Anita kept all my vendors organized, took the lead on everything, and made sure I could fully relax and enjoy my big day. She even found thoughtful ways to save on costs, like sourcing local fresh picked mint & for our bar service and recommending trusted partners.

Anita was our best investment for our vow renewal. Initially, my husband and I thought we could handle everything ourselves for our small event. A friend wisely advised against this, leading us to seek coordinators. After meeting Anita, one of our venue’s preferred vendors, we knew she was the right choice—her five-star reviews were well-deserved! We met with a few others before deciding to book with her and what swayed us over was how genuine she was, and how there was this unspoken confidence about her in making our vision come to life (which now after the fact can confidently say that she exceeded way beyond our wildest dreams). It’s crazy to think that we booked Anita a little over a month before our wedding! There are so many things I could say …
- Anita asked insightful questions with things we didn’t even consider (but were necessary). This spoke into her many years of experience in the industry
- Every element of our wedding was executed to perfection. She even added elements on the day of into our decoration that were the finishing touches we needed!
- I wanted an elegant, intimate, and cozy vibes. Every single detail was executed perfectly from the dimming of the lights to the grand reveal of our ceremony to the presentation, etc.
- For our beach ceremony, she recommended the absolute best florist for our floral arch. Despite the wind, the arch held perfectly—trust her vendor recommendations; they are top-notch! We spent so much time (which wasn’t factored into our time) at the arch after the ceremony because it was so grand and beautiful!
- With my non-traditional work schedule, Anita was always accommodating, meeting with me at odd hours and providing unwavering support throughout the planning process.
I have never felt this completely at ease letting go of control to someone I had just met. She allowed us to fully enjoy our day, constantly reassuring us that everything would be fine—and it truly was magical.
If you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, invest in one! And if you’re in between a few coordinators like we were initially, trust us and choose Anita - you won’t regret it. A STARR Events did such an amazing job coordinating my wedding day! I hired her for her day-off wedding coordinating services at Chaminade Resort and Spa in Santa Cruz, CA. Her services were much needed for a bride like myself that was in need of someone to make sure I wasn't worried and stressed about the wedding day. Anita was beyond incredible by providing me a wedding planning checklist and day-off document to make sure I had everything altogether and something that she had used for the wedding day. She's so knowledgeable and understands the wedding industry so well, that I felt extremely comfortable and confident that she would bring my wedding day vision to life. 10/10 Overall Experience
Anita was in phenomenal as a day of coordinator for our wedding. She was definitely more than just a day of assistance - and with our wedding she did not have an easy task. We had 100 hurricane vases and did our own flowers so she acted as two vendors essentially. She pulled together all the details into one coherent document for all my vendors and led our rehearsal. To think that I could have done that on my own is insanity - Anita’s services were critical to our wedding running so smoothly. In fact, I was so shocked an event like that could run SO problem free. Anita handled everything like an absolute professional. She also stayed overtime to help my family pack up - my family said they were shocked that everything was cleaned up in time. If you are looking for a planner or day of coordinator definitely use Anita! Thank you so much for your hard work to make our wedding day perfect, it truly was everything I wanted!!! ***PLUS ask about her sister for any pastry needs. She made our cake and brownies and wow it was completely gone at the end of the night. We got so many compliments on the dessert! -

Anita was a phenomenal wedding planner. From start to finish, she was supportive every step of the way. She has excellent resources that she provides brides with- I opted to do a partial plan since our wedding was on the smaller side and she provided excellent advice and tips on booking vendors, making invitations, etc. Anita met with me at my venue on multiple occasions so that we could really make sure my vision came to life. I felt supported and at ease in my planning process because I knew I had her support. She also connected me with the BEST vendors. She truly knows the best people in the business and has amazing relationships with them. Another thing that really stood out to me about Anita is her warmth; she really and truly wants you and your significant other to have the best day possible. I can't even begin to explain how valuable her presence was during the wedding weekend itself. She provided excellent advice and assistance at the rehearsal and made sure that all of the furniture and heaters that were dropped off at the venue arrived safely (she also got me a discount on the furniture rental!) On the day of my wedding she took control of everything with the vendors and the hotel. I was able to get ready and enjoy myself instead of worrying about vendor coordination, timelines, etc. She also made an effort to really get to know my husband and I throughout the process and helped me come up with little ideas to highlight aspects of our cultures at the reception. I've attended 14 weddings between 2022-2023 including my own, and I've been a bridesmaid in 6 of those weddings. I have really been able to see different styles of wedding planners and what it's like to work with a planner through my friends, and I can say with the utmost confidence that Anita is the best of the best!A STARR Events's reply:

If you're looking for a wedding planner....your search ends here. My husband and I were married in August this year and as much as I wanted to do everything on my own, things quickly became overwhelming. That's when I found Anita and she was an absolute lifesaver. Anita went up and beyond with absolutely everything. We had a terrible time with our venue coordinators coming and going within a few months of the wedding and Anita was the only constant through it all. As upset as I was getting with the venue, she was always calm and collected, and was the absolute best communicator. I have a type-A personality and her organization of the wedding day plans and rehearsal were amazing. She was always open to emails/texts/calls. She had recommendations and was never pushy with her opinion or advice. Her pricing is definitely reasonable and she has a few different planning options based on your needs. She checked in when appropriate and made sure things were going along with the schedule. On the rehearsal night, Anita was there on time and got my ginormous wedding party in line quickly! On the wedding day, Anita was everywhere. She had all our decorations in place exactly how I wanted them, and the entire day went flawlessly. I had so many family members and friends comment on how Anita was on top of everything the entire night. We didn't even have to worry about cleaning up, all of our stuff was packaged up and put away safely.

I cannot stop thinking about how amazing our wedding day went a few days ago. I came to Anita near the end of my wedding planning when I began noticing some gray areas in my, what I thought, flawless game plan. I knew that gray areas would be a big question mark and risk come the day of, and did not want any surprises or inconveniences to us or our friends & families on the day of. We wanted to soak in the moments and enjoy the day. That’s when Anita was recommended to me.
Our wedding was not too far away, so I was surprised that Anita was available that weekend (a miracle that was meant to be!) She jumped into action and met me at the venue (which was quite a drive away from her) where she collected all the details and stomp stomp stomped on any tiny fire that was waiting to set our wedding ablaze. I thought I was organized.. but that day I was watching her in action in awe. I was literally like WHOA. All the stress I was feeling was immediately swept away and I could just finally breathe.
Anita shortly after sent me documents/checklists to make sure I was on track, given the wedding was coming up soon, and we slowly ticked away at the details. Her documents really helped streamline my plans from simply a vision to actual reality. On our final review she fine tuned the schedule and details with me over the phone and communicated with each of our vendors, MOH and best man.
All the while Anita was professional, respectful, knowledgeable, reliable, and very down to earth. I think I fell in love with her a little! Lol. My husband loved her and so did all of my other vendors. It really couldn't have gotten any better than that.
Finally, the wedding came. Napkins were tied flawlessly, tables arranged beautifully, signs were up with their decorative flair carefully placed…the room looked amazing. Whenever we needed something, Anita used her wedding spidey-sense, and was right there by our side. Checking in multiple times throughout the night. Helping when my bustle broke. Keeping us fed and hydrated. Coordinating with the dj and banquet manager behind the scenes. Making sure we stay on schedule…All. Of. The. Things.
To sum everything up, if you want peace of mind, to simply enjoy your wedding day, dance, eat, and just be in the moment with your partner, family & friends…Anita is the one!! -

Living in a different city from where we were getting married was, to be honest, incredibly difficult.
We visited Monterey a few times (always have loved it) and finally chose a venue for our beach wedding. We went through a couple of wedding planners who kept falling through or just completely forgot about us. We thought it may be a lost cause. When we found Anita from 'A Starr Events', when knew she was the one.
She stayed on top of everything and her detailed lists helped us feel more prepared, especially since we could only visit once a month. When there were issues with our venue, she stepped up to the plate and immediately dealt with it. Especially when we had issues with multiple florists just weeks before the wedding, she became our florist and they were gorgeous! She was present 100% and I don't know what we would've done without her.

Anita was one of the first vendors we hired for our wedding, and she was super thorough and encouraging right from the start! Whatever question I had for her, she gave me her honest insight and helped guide our decisions. The florist we ended up working with was one that she recommended to us, and that was also a really amazing and affordable experience!
When we had to postpone due to Covid, Anita comforted and reassured us through the process and helped us navigate the steps that followed.
On our wedding day she was incredibly thorough and a much-needed source of guidance for our whole crew! I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done if we hadn’t had Anita and her team there to set up all of the decor items we personally brought to the venue, it allowed the bridal parties and families to relax and prep for the event! It was a pleasure getting to know you and Brandon during the course of our planning. I was heartbroken when the pandemic forced us to reschedule a year later than originally planned. When August 1st finally arrived and as I watched your fairy tale wedding unfold at Holman Ranch, I realized that it was worth the wait. We had almost two years to ensure your day mirrored your vision exactly! Holman Ranch is a gorgeous setting, your decor so elegant and your wedding dress!!!
Your gown was incredible, so romantic and a perfect fit to the overall style of your wedding. I would love to receive some photos from your photographer (if possible) so I can add them to my business website gallery. Would you mind sharing a few from the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner reception and dancing in the carriage house?
We used every inch of the ranch and since you and Brandon are so photogenic I would love to view/choose the photos that would fit perfectly for marketing purposes- Your day was exquisite in so many ways..I'm positive that choosing each photo will be a challenge!
Please give my love to Brandon and your Family...your Mom was so much help; she is (amazingly crafty) a bit of an overachiever by designing your wedding bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party! Looking back now I can't believe how your entire family showed their love...from family (homemade wine) to share with your guests to those metal pomegranate truffle favors...no details were spared!

Other than marrying my husband, hiring Anita as my wedding planner/coordinator was the best choice I could have made for my wedding. After interviewing multiple potential wedding planners, I was sure that she was the right choice because of her professionalism, responsiveness, and her myriad of connections in the bay area. Her rates are very reasonable and the extensive work that she put into our wedding to make sure everything was perfect made her the greatest value we could have asked for! We were living in Texas while planning a wedding at a private property in California which was initially a challenge but once we hired Anita, she was able to put things into place by finding our caterer, DJ, tent/many other rentals, along with handling the logistics of coordinating the deliveries, budget, design, and day of specifics. I do not know how the wedding would have happened without her so if I could give her 10/5 stars here I would! She was able to coordinate with my in-laws and wedding parties to make sure that all the details were set in place. Anita's meticulous, detail oriented planning along with her ease in communication, timeliness, friendliness, and professionalism made her a pleasure to work with. While working with Anita, I always felt like her priority throughout the entire process. She made me feel like my wants and needs were met and was able to fill in any missing gaps I had so smoothly that it seemed effortless. I would easily say that my wedding was the best day of my life and a lot of it was due to the hard work that Anita put in to make the day run so smoothly. Maria and I have seen our fair share of receptions on tour around the world - we’ve seen all levels of luxury and cold extravagance.
We fell in love with the ceremony and reception. Everything was so elegant, coordinated, detailed, and luxurious. And yet - it was cozy, familial, and warm.

I'm a very organized person who originally thought I'd plan and coordinate my own wedding. Trying to plan a California wedding from Colorado was challenging, so we reached out to Anita. Working with Anita was the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. She predicts needs / questions that you didn't even know you had!
You should know that Anita is incredibly personable and professional. Since our first conversation with Anita, we felt like we'd known her for years. She's inquisitive, caring, and takes the time to get to know you. She'll remember pieces of your conversations months later as you're making decisions and planning your big day.
Our wedding was slated for March 2020, and as that time approached and we didn't yet have all our vendors, Anita went the extra mile to find them. This wasn't in our original contract, but she was there for us to solve the challenges we were facing. Due to COVID, we had to cancel our original wedding, and once again, we were so happy to have Anita on our team. She coordinated with all our vendors and helped us understand ramifications in our contracts. She made a really hard decision and time much better.

Months later I was overjoyed to see that You, Eric, your parents & siblings were able to sneak away so you could get married in private. The photos at Zion National Park were incredible! Thank you for sharing them with me, your faces (BIG smiles) said it all...
Haley, THE dress...it was so perfectly "YOU"! Stunning color and texture against the rock formations (backdrop), so beautiful and comfortable looking...vans and all...I love that photo!
I think I owe you the time to coordinate a party! When you are ready to plan a celebration in Carmel Valley, the Ranch is waiting for you and so am I!

Thinking that since our wedding ceremony had only 30 guests, my husband and I thought we could get away with not having a planner. And we probably could have -- but not without losing our minds. Did I mention that we were planning the event from 3,000 miles away, and I had never seen the venue in person?
When my MIL finally convinced me to hire a "month-of" coordinator so we could all relax a little, I interviewed a few people. It was clear right away that Anita was a true professional who was going to make everything okay! She thought of all the little things you don't know if you've never been married before, and worked with our budget and ideas seamlessly.
On the day of the wedding, she was a real anchor of calm who kept everything moving along and sheltered me from any snafus that I didn't need to be worried about. I highly recommend her as an essential piece of an amazing day.A STARR Events's reply:

You hired some amazing vendors who worked seamlessly and performed their jobs perfectly! Your photographer @KrystalKast took some gorgeous photos, I would love to use some of them for advertising on my website- would you mind sharing some more with me? You chose one of my favorite florists, Karla @luxuryfloraldesigns and she is the best! Your floral pieces were exquisite- at the ceremony site and your plan to repurpose them worked perfectly at the reception restaurant too.
You absolutely made my job easy by being so organized and giving me the tools to successfully execute your day, thank you for being so communicative and helpful...it's not easy to plan a wedding from 3,000 miles away but I think you did an amazing job too!

Let me tell you first and foremost that a wedding event coordinator should fall with as much priority as obtaining all other vendors i.e caterer, photographer, florist AND wedding event coordinator.
About 4 months before our wedding I realized I needed help!! While the knot is great, the ability to pull everything together while planning and enjoying wedding festivities I.e bridal shower, Bachelorette, invites, etc., consider a wedding coordinator will be key towards the end as deadlines are piling.
We were lucky enough to get Anita late in the game just about 4 months before our wedding. Our hesitancy to be honest was money, however Anita was able to modify her services with my budget. I was able to complete most of the pre planning activities with her focusing on ensuring all vendors understood our theme and timeline for the wedding day. Anita helped us think about things that we hadn’t thought to ensure our day would be amazing! I would also encourage couples to think about the day of and the day before and how great it was for us to be able to go to rehearsal dinner and prep for wedding day and know that we were such great hands!
My reception was at our family’s private ranch. While I was lucky to not spend money to rent a venue, it’s important to know that even if you are organizing events at a private home or property that you will need to consider who is coordinating this event. Anita helped make our dreams come true with securing our vendors and making sure everything went well on our day.
The day after our wedding my husband and I were talking about how all in all Anita as our wedding event coordinator was a total must, and she was well worth it! Anita helped ensure that our wedding day went so smooth and kept us on track. Most importantly, our parents and family were able to enjoy our event rather than working it. While our family helped a lot leading up to the event having Anita and her team made sure our day was so perfect!
For those thinking they can’t afford a coordinator consider this, on such a special day that goes by so fast, have the help of someone that can make your day a breeze. Anita and her team made our day so amazing and we got such great comments from our guests!
We are so grateful for Anita and I would HIGHLY recommend her as an event planner!

Anita exceeded my expectations. From our very first conversation to our wedding day, she listened, was personable, upbeat, and a force to be reckoned with!
She reassured me when I had doubts and answered all calls, texts, and emails promptly. She was also provided our linens and designed our floral arrangements (which were GORGEOUS!) personally, for an additional fee.
On our big day, she ensured that everything ran smoothly. She worked into the night prepping & was ready for whatever may come the following day! She managed the service team and all vendors, making sure that they were doing what they were paid to do.
Besides her great demeanor, truly, it’s her amazing skill set that proved we had chosen the right person for our special day. I gave her my ideas and she ran with it. She had a vision for our venue and made our day unique, classy, and just beautiful. She even provided personal props & touches, things that she’s acquired over the many years of working in the industry. Things that me, as a busy bride, would’ve never thought about!

Working with A STARR Events was truly one of the best decisions I made throughout my entire wedding planning process. Anita made it easy from the very beginning and really helped me navigate through my visions for the day and help make them a reality. She put my wants and needs first but also helped to lead me with her experience and expertise. She provided me with checklists and checked-in with me to help keep me on track and feel relaxed. I could feel her years of experience when I would call her overwhelmed and she would just walk me through it step-by-step until I was clear on what needed to be done and she would help me do it. We had A STARR staff at our wedding and they were dressed professionally and knew what they were doing. If I had this wonderful of an experience with A STARR Events planning a wedding, I'm sure there is no event they could not tackle. I would recommend them over and over again!

We were planning from the East Coast, and Anita’s experience, work ethic, attention to detail, and artistic eye were invaluable during the planning process and on wedding day. Though we were initially one of those couples not hiring a wedding planner to save money, we quickly realized that Anita would be paying for herself with her connections, resources and great ideas. Because she had never done a wedding at our venue in San Francisco, she visited the site twice in the span of a couple of months when we couldn’t be there, a testament to her dedication and research. She spent hours on the phone with me learning my vision, and executed perfectly. On wedding day, I didn’t worry about a thing, which is what a bride and groom should be doing! I don’t want her flower design capabilities to be underappreciated either, her bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned! In conclusion, hire Anita! You won’t regret it!

Julie Sent on 05/25/2017Best decision we ever made! Hands down – no questions. ASTARR Events is absolutely amazing. Words cannot describe how perfect our wedding day was and it was the creative, organized, experienced and reliable services from Anita and her team. For months leading up to the wedding we would throw ideas and boxes of decorations at her and she rolled with it. She combined our cluttered ideas with her organized experience and created the most beautiful event ever. The day of our wedding after the ceremony was complete and the anxious nervousness was gone, as we sat at our sweetheart table looking out towards our guests in this gorgeous garden - we saw MAGIC. (I have goosebumps writing this and thinking about that moment.) Every little detail Anita knew we would appreciate was brought to light. She really took the time to get to know my husband and I which made our wedding even more personal and intimate. ASTARR Events killed it; Anita blew us away. I would hire Anita and her team over and over and over again. She's very responsive, she confirms and reconfirms, her team was awesome and moved around heaters (with smiles on their faces) over and over for some guests. With Anita - I stopped stressing - I knew she had it covered. And believe me, she did. Brides/Grooms in the Monterey County area - ASTARR Events is a MUST BOOK.
