Great experience!

We loved the food from ASOL! It was delicious and the presentation was great, and they handled everything really smoothly. I honestly didn't even notice half of what they did, they were so smooth and unobtrusive. They were also responsive to some of the requests we had after our tasting, so our menu was just what we wanted. Our initial event manager left a couple months before our wedding, but Sena picked up where she left off without any issues and we had a great experience with her and her team!

Best Catering Company EVER!

A Spice of Life Catering was exceptional. From the start, it was clear this team truly cares about delivering a great experience. Emily, the Director of Sales and Senior Event Specialist, helped us build a thoughtful and delicious menu. The attention to detail, flexibility, and communication throughout planning made a huge difference. Quinn, the office manager, made the payment process smooth and simple.

On event day, everything was flawless. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and guests couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The entire team was professional, kind, and efficient from setup to cleanup. I’ve worked with many caterers, and this was by far the best experience. Highly recommend.

Best Day Ever!!

Kathy, Valerie, and the whole team were such a joy to work with from the very beginning. They were accommodating, understanding, and took their time to ensure our day was perfect (which it was)!! The apps and dinner were amazing and our friends & family couldn’t stop talking about it :-)

Great Experience

We needed to find a vendor that offered vegan options as well as meat options and that it wasn’t basic or boring vegan options. We were also looking for a catering company that followed sustainable practices. A Spice of Life was the perfect fit for those needs as well as our budget. Kathy was so wonderful in helping us choose options that would meet our budget as well as deciding on our final menu. She was there for us every step along the way. Our tasting was fantastic and exactly what we hoped for! Our wedding day ran fairly smoothly. We decided to do a buffet for cost and it was disappointing to hear that we had run out of food before the last person was served even though we were missing 6 people who were supposed to show up to our wedding, but didn’t make it day of. Our day of catering manager/captain, Khadija was incredible! She was SO attentive and ensured we were well fed and taken care of as a couple. Truly, amazing team and food. I would highly recommend A Spice of Life Catering!

Great food

ASPOL was wonderful for our wedding day! Delicious food, the apps, sides, main dishes and late night snacks were all amazing! The only thing was that we were supposed to have a biscuit on our late night snack and we got a different bun (still so good) but they didn't update us on this change. Otherwise 10/10 all around!

Amazing Wedding Caterer

WOW! Kathy and Spice of Life was great to work with from day one. We went to a tasting and everything was absolutely great. The place was clean, presentation was great, and the food was delicious. My wife and I are both students and so being on a budget for a wedding can be challenging. However, Kathy was such a help and allowed us to find a menu that we loved while staying in a relative budget range. The day of our wedding was great as Spice of Life came in and set everything up with ease and we hardly even noticed they were there. The timing of serving the courses was great and the food was a good temperature. Our guests had great things to say about the meal choices and serving sizes. The crew was very nice and very professional when serving the plated dinner. We even invited them to come dance at the end of the night!

Best Fajita Bar Ever!

We used A Spice of Life with the package we purchased through our vendor. They were so easy to work with! Our tasting was such a good expereince, they were able to customize certain items for us, and everyone enjoyed their food! It was fun and easy and we loved it all! At the end of the night they gave my husband and I a picnic basket of food for us to enjoy. Everything went perfectly and we highly recommend them!

Delicious & Professional

Spice did the catering for our wedding of ~175 people, and we were extremely pleased with them!! Their food of course was delicious and the menu had plenty of options.

At the tasting, we’d thought the bacon wrapped dates were a little over cooked. Kathy was insistent on us providing feedback in a way that almost no other vendors (in any industry) do. This made it easy for us to ask them to cook this appetizer a little differently, and it was a huge hit at the wedding!

They were not the cheapest vendor, but their price is competitive and worth a little extra for the quality, and they helped design our menu to work for our budget.

Their crew on wedding day was absolutely lights out!! They of course did an awesome job with all the normal food stuff, but they were also extremely helpful in serving the dessert and late night pizza that we’d ordered from a different vendor. They also did a ton that I’d have thought the venue was responsible for, but they helped regardless. On top of all that, everything was perfectly organized on the day of. There were no issues that came up because they had thought of everything in advance, making for a less stressful day.

I’m really hoping this is the only time I get married, so tough to say I’d use them again, but I’d highly recommend them and if doing a different event would certainly hire them.

Best Decision We Made

A Spice of Life was, without question, the one best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning. We were absolutely blown away by Dawn’s knowledge of our venue, the quality of both the food and service of the ASOL team and how seamless everything went because of them. From my early emails, I knew Dawn was the right choice for us. She was extremely prompt to answer emails and take phone calls. We were feeling a little stressed about two months out from our wedding and we were able to have a 2 hour in-person meeting with Dawn who walked us through every single detail from rentals to food to beverage service. On the day, the service was impeccable and food was amazing. They nailed absolutely everything, down to the tiny details. They went above and beyond and provided top notch service all night long. We keep hearing from our guests that the food was the best they’d ever had at a catered event. I genuinely can’t recommend them enough; they are the best of the best. We love you Dawn + team!

5/11 Wedding

To say we were blown away by Spice of Life for our wedding this past weekend would be an understatement! From the beginning of the planning process, Amanda was responsive and so incredibly helpful. On the day of our wedding, she and her team were attentive to all our guests (and us!), thorough, and the food was AMAZING! All of our guests raved about their meals and the appetizers, which as big foodies meant a great deal to my husband and me; we couldn’t be happier!!! If you’re looking for a caterer for any event, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SOL!

We chose Spice of Life because they were on our venue's preferred caterer list, and because we had previously attended a wedding they catered and really liked the food. Well, we were not disappointed! I'm really happy with how responsive and easy to work with they were, and how they were willing to provide us with a customized menu that was unique, culturally specific, and delicious! Everyone loved the food at our wedding.

Jake and the whole Spice of Life crew were absolutely fantastic to work with. Jake gave us his personal phone number and always responded to texts and emails within seconds. Even when he was on vacation with his family, he texted me back right away. On the day of the wedding, there was a rain storm before the ceremony and all of the chairs were soaked. Even though it was not their job at all, the crew from a spice of life ran out with towels to dry off all of the seats. Jake and the crew let us use any and all decorations they had, not just for the reception, for the ceremony as well. They provided the bridal party with snacks before the ceremony to help calm our tummies and our nerves. The food at the reception was absolutely amazing, I hear comments all of the time for my guests about how delicious it was. Everybody went back for seconds! I would recommend a spice of life for any event!!

I will start by saying my husband and I had extremely low expectations when it came to caterers. We have experienced underwhelming food at most weddings and figured it was status quo for producing mass quantities. We decided to blindly choose ASOL as they were the preferred caterer at our venue (Planet Bluegrass) and couldn't have been proven more wrong about this 'status quo'. The event specialist, Dawn, was with us every step of the way in planning the wedding and responded to emails even when on vacation. The food the day-of was exceptional (in a buffet no less) and the staff were all super professional - I didn't even know they were there. On the day-of, Dawn was also equally as present and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed without even having to ask. I can't say enough about this catering company and would encourage anyone to choose them to cater their wedding as they do that (and so much more) seamlessly and with so much positivity. Thank you, Dawn and staff, for making our day so incredible!

Our venue gave us the option to choose from 4 preferred caterers, and I am soooo glad we chose Spice of Life! The food was amazing - from the fruit/cheese platter while we were getting ready to the plate of appetizers for my husband and I as we signed our marriage license to all the dinner entrees to the leftovers that were packed up for my husband and I to enjoy later in the night/the next day! I can't say enough good things about their responsiveness, professionalism, and quality especially when working with an out-of-town bride. Spice of Life also offered a military discount which my husband and I truly appreciated as it allowed us to spend more money on things like a dessert bar! I would definitely recommend Spice of Life to any bride looking for a traditional wedding meal, appetizers, and desserts that are tasty and beautifully presented.

Dawn and her team were fantastic from the start. My fiance couldn't make the initial food tasting so I brought my elderly father instead. She was so sweet and kind to him. Everyone raved about the food we had for our reception. She helped us pick a menu that would appeal to everyone and even provided a vegan meal for one of my family members. It was within our budget and was high quality. Their staff was really attentive to our guests. At the end of the night, they had placed a picinic basket in the back of our car containing some of the food from our reception. What a special touch! We would highly recommend A Spice of Life!

They were amazing to work with. Jake the coordinator was very pleasant to work with. His response time to e-mail is amazing. Their whole team was very professional. We had a minor problem with our first catering company as they were double booked the day of our wedding. In March we were left searching for a new catering company. Our venue recommended Spice of Life even though it was more then we had planned on spending for food.
They did not disappoint. They hosted a delicious brunch for us the day before and an amazing dinner on our wedding day. We had many complements that our food we great. The onsite staff were amazing evening walking down to pictures to bring us our snack tray.
We could not have asked for better service. Thank you.

We used ASOL for our wedding at Planet Bluegrass and could not have been happier with Dawn and her team. They were kind, accessible and professional, and the food was phenomenal. We first met Dawn at our tasting, which was a fantastic experience. The chefs cooked a phenomenal meal, and Dawn put us all at ease, answering questions about food portions, table and chair rentals, and vegan options for our guests. In the months between the tastings Dawn was always available to answer questions about anything and everything - alcohol quantities, the timeline of events, transportation... you name it! During the wedding our guests could not stop raving about the great service, the food, and how professional her team was. Overall, we would highly recommend ASOL for catering and event planning.

I really enjoyed working with A Spice of Life. Jake was our consultant, he was very prompt with returning phone calls, helpful with menu consulting, and was very pleasant to work with. On the day of the wedding, the staff was prompt in setting up and were very friendly and professional. I can't tell you how many compliments I received on the food or on the staff. Jake and his team did more than we could have asked for to help with our wedding! They helped us tailor the perfect menu of a mashed potato bar with fun chips and dips for our guests to enjoy. Everybody loved the food! They also helped us fulfill our wish of having ice cream instead of cake and even helped serve the ice cream and run the toppings bar. A Spice of Life really went above and beyond to make sure the food was on point and helping with any other things we may have needed help with!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this company. I give them a ton of credit to our successful wedding reception- they were professional, helpful, easy to communicate with, created a beautiful event, and served delicious food. They were by far the easiest vendors to communicate with during our planning period and put me at ease when the big day was approaching. We have had the best experience with A Spice of Life so far! Jake has been working with us from the very beginning, and he is phenomenal. He has been very patient in answering our many questions! The presentation at our tasting was very professional and the food was delicious. I have special dietary needs, and they catered perfectly to what I requested. I felt great after eating our meal, which is rare for me! We also met with the chef and he answered our questions and was more than willing to tweak things to our liking. My fiance and I have been thoroughly impressed by Jake and A Spice of Life. I would highly recommend them for any of my friends weddings or events.

I am so happy we went with Spice of Life as our caterer of choice for our July wedding. They were easy to work with in planning the wedding, making sure that all details were covered. The wedding coordinator, Dawn, even came with us to our final walk through in Estes Park, which was a good hour and a half drive from the coorporate office. She amde sure everything was planned perfectly and to our liking. The day of the wedding, we had another coordinator who we got to meet beforehand to maker sure she knew everything she needed to run our wedding day of. She did not disappoint. The best part was that I didn't have to worry about any set up or take down and I barely even noticed that the day of coordinators were there- that's how smoothly they ran everything. They made sure everything worked out perfectly. The wait staff was also very professional and responsive. The food turned out beautiful and delicious. It was worth the extra money to go through Spice of Life for the service, presentation, and farm to table food choices. Thanks so much SOL!

We hired Spice of Life to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner BBQ party at a vacation rental mountain home up Sunshine Canyon. From the beginning, they were responsive, professional, and extremely accommodating to our budget and our needs. We had no trouble planning the event from out of state, and when it came time for the party we had complete and total confidence in their services. My husband and I were able to enjoy spending stress free time with our guests, while the Spice of Life staff handled everything from set up to clean up with ninja-like efficiency. They served an abundance of delicious food to our 80 some odd hungry guests with flawless presentation and friendly smiles. Everyone raved about the food, especially the mac n' cheese! Spice of Life is a world class operation already renowned for their quality of services, and it was an honor to have them help make our wedding weekend a dream come true. Dawn and her team were unbelievable! I didn't have a wedding planner, but with ASOL you don't need one. Everything from the planning, to the responsiveness, to the day of were amazing. The food was delicious and we had so many comments about how great everything was. The buffet went very smoothly.. never a line at the food line or bar.. which is pretty amazing with our crew. Thank you a million times over for making our wedding planning and day such a success! We owe it all to you!

The venue was stunning and gave us tons of time to set up and take down and use the venue. They worked really well and hard with my budget and needs. The food was incredible and custom to what I wanted and needed. The staff was great, worked hard and it showed. This was the most amazing food and crew we worked with! I miss the food already, it was so yummy! Not one Guest had a bad thing to say about the food and the service was great as well. My husband was very frustrated that we were one table short and his family had nowhere to sit. Well as they helped to get our food he walked away to figure out why they didn't have a table. The crew from A Spice of Life took in their hands (after asking someone from our venue to do so a few times) to make sure they got a table out immediately and that made my husband very happy! It was just so amazing that they did what they could to make our day special, when it wasn't their job to worry about that!

Their catering service is absolutely first class! We absolutely love their service, and we didn't get one complaint from anyone eating the food. We were so pleased with A Spice of Life's service and expertise at and leading up to our wedding at the Koenig Alumni Center.

I first had A Spice of Life's food at a graduation party when I was in high school at Boulder High 14 years ago. I remember I had some delicious blonde brownie or something that was so tasty, I made a point to remember the caterer's name. So...14 years later, when I needed a caterer for my wedding, I called them up.

At our tasting Katie, the event coordinator that regularly handles events Koenig, was present, attentive and informative about our options with A Spice of Life, and the other vendors she recommended and had worked with. We immediately felt comfortable with her and we were so glad she was going to be able to be part of our event. Leading up to the wedding, she promptly responded to my dozens of emails which kept me calm and enabled us to make quick progress through our short wedding planning timeline.

At our onsite walk through, we appreciated her thoroughness and her frank opinions that helped us make decisions that would have otherwise taken much longer.

Leading up to the wedding, I thought I would need an onsite coordinator the day of, but I'm so glad that I didn't hire one. At our wedding, Katie handled our nearly every need and staff was never in our way. Her above and beyond service, made the day go smoothly and everything was taken care of so we could enjoy our wedding. She saved me thousands of dollars by being able to handle my needs and timeline (that would otherwise need to be handled by a wedding coordinator) while also making sure the catering was elegantly taken care of.

Ok, so I haven't even mentioned the food at our wedding yet. It was fantastic. We had a chicken and steak option, the asiago mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and salad. Everything was fantastic. I hope I get to work with them again!

A Spice of Life Catering is stellar. The staff was stellar, the food was stellar and the overall experience in working with them was Stellar. They are extremely knowledgeable and helped with every facet of catering this event. I will use them again. I highly highly highly recommend them to everyone.

YUM! My husband and I were recommended this catering company via our venue (VILLA PARKER EVENTS CENTER) and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! We live in Las Vegas and planning an out-of-state wedding posed some challenges! We were directed to work with Kathryn Matta and let me know you she is FABULOUS! Majority of our contact was via email and she was thorough and detailed in answer all millions of my questions.

We decided to do something a little different for our wedding as far as food was concerned. We wanted everyone to mix and mingle and enjoy a variety of selections. One of our favorite restaurants offers a tapais menu and so we started customizing our own with Kathryn's help. We had several different stations and passed food that made it so unique and fun!! They went above and beyond satisfying our picky taste buds. Whether it was adding a little more parmesan or tweaking a recipe they were ON IT! They went has far as to even visit one of our favorite places and created their own rendition of our favorite appetizer! I MEAN YOU CAN'T GET ANY MORE PERSONAL SERVICE THAN THAT! We would hands down use this catering company again and again.

Our guests loved the food and the playfulness our menu offered. They couldn't stop raving about the panco crusted mac n cheese balls! :) Their staff was attentive and interacted with our guests very well! I have zero complaints! We are so happy with everything!

You won't be disappointed! They set everything up and added to our theme of lemons and limes by arranging decorations around the food tables. They even set us home with a little picnic basket so we could enjoy some late snacks back at the hotel! They helped us in deciding how much of everything to rent and answered many questions we had about wedding planning! They are there for you! They made us feel like we were their only clients! (when I knew we weren't)! We love SPICE OF LIFE CATERING! THANK YOU!

A Spice of Life is the total package! Kari Jo was an amazing women who helped make our day perfect! They did all the catering for my wedding including linen rentals.They were quick to respond to any and all questions that I had from silly to serious in a timely fashion prior to the wedding. When another vendor had some miscommunication on the time table and we needed the linens much earlier than anticipated for the day of with only a couple weeks before the wedding they ordered them early so I could pick them up and bring them to the venue.

The food was fantastic and I got a lot of compliments on it from our guests! The staff was very professional. The bartenders were so nice and the servers very helpful! They even sent us on our way with a cute little picnic basket of some left overs for our wedding night. My family was able to take home the rest of the left overs as well which was fantastic. I didn't have a day of wedding planner but there was no need with these services! My wedding day would not have been as magical without Kari Jo and her team.

Spice of Life offered a variety of menu options that were affordable. The food was delicious and I got a lot of comments at the wedding that the food "didn't taste like wedding food."

Spice of Life catered my daughter and son in law's wedding offsite at Planet Bluegrass in Lyons. The service they provided was exceptional. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was excellent. I did not have to worry for one minute about anything and was free to enjoy the party.

So incredible. The food was wonderful. I had so many people say that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The service was incredible as well. They really make you feel so special. We worked with Kathryn and she was a pleasure to work with.

Spice of Life isn't one of the cheaper caterers, but there is a reason for that. When providing food to your friends and family on one of the most important days of your life, you should not compromise on who you choose to cater. If you do, you will end up with the short end of the stick, every time.

Spice of Life is more than just a vendor that provides food. They are professionals that create an experience for you and your guests. They begin by taking time with you to help you pick out your menu and what may work best. We started down the road of beef, chicken and fish, but I wasn't happy. I expressed my concern to Lisa and said that I wanted to provide something different. She worked with me on creating a brunch menu (the wedding was in the morning) of some really delicious options.

Catering is almost always the biggest portion of your budget when you have a wedding. However, Lisa and the rest of the Spice of Life staff made every penny worth it. The 30-day walk-thru was easy as can be, due to their professionalism and their years of experience. Before I walked down the aisle, I noticed Lisa was there, making sure everything was running smoothly. I had plenty to drink and fruit and cheese to eat before the wedding (which was about all I could choke down, given my nervousness).

During the meal part of the reception, Jamie, our maître d' for the day, filled my plate, made sure I was served well and always made sure I had something to drink, which in itself was a lifesaver because it was over 90 degrees that day.

Something that truly touched my heart and will make me forever thankful that we chose Spice of Life was the story my mother told me. The buffet was set up at the top of five stairs. My mother filled her plate and went over to the railing to walk down. Jaime, who I am sure had other things to do, rushed over to her, took her plate and helped her to her seat. He sat it in front of her and made sure she had everything she needed. Then the table apparently cheered for him. It was awesome that he was so attentive and in tune with people at the event.

They also supplied the bartender, whom I hear was quite personable and entertaining. He teased the teenagers but wouldn't serve them (obviously). However, they weren't upset, but rather entertained. When a friend's son pulled a chair up to the bar and asked him to make him "anything, but make it a surprise" and then the child put his hands over his eyes, the bartender made him a simple red drink that wasn't too sweet and made that boy's day!

We had so many compliments on the food, it surprised me. It was delicious and light enough to eat on a hot, hot day. Someone said their table didn't get excused to go through the buffet, but I have a sneaky suspicion that they were at the bar when their table was supposed to be excused.

So when you are considering your catering for your event, take the time to think about how you would like your wedding or event to flow. Think about what you would expect from a caterer. Then take it a step further - that's what you'll find from the staff of Spice of Life.

Absolutely the best. I even comparison shopped and the price was not more than many of the smaller companies. They make sure that everything goes perfectly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Katie was the best, she was so excited for us and clearly passionate about what she does. She went above and beyond and basically acted as my wedding planner, giving me great ideas for the reception and the location of the ceremony. The food, of course, was to die for. They tailored a menu to us that included hors d'oeuvres and even a sushi station! A nice touch, they gave us a picnic basket to take with us to the hotel for our wedding night. Thank you so much for helping to make my wedding perfect!

I couldn't be happier with the service we received from A Spice of Life. We worked mostly with Kari Jo and she was unbelievably professional, kind, outgoing, and helpful. The staff at our wedding were so nice and hardworking. We had some mishaps with other vendors, and the catering manager went above and beyond to work everything out and ensure we had a great and stress free time. The food was also phenomenal. It was funny how many times I heard "I can't believe how good the food was! Wedding food is normally so bad, but that was incredible!". They also provided mac and cheese for the kids and a special vegan meal for our one vegan guest. This is truly an amazing business, don't waste your time going anywhere else.

A Spice of Life went above and beyond to make my wedding go smoothly. My Spice planner ("event specialist") was with me for every step of the planning process. She came with me to my venue about a month before to talk about where all the tables would go, and then on my wedding day I didn't have to tell them again- they were just set up for me. Thank you A Spice of Life for going above and beyond what I asked- it really made a difference.

I had been to many events that the Spice of Life have catered and have always been impressed. It was my turn to take them for a spin. Taryn Center, our main contact, was super personable and brought her own style and personality to the event. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy, suggesting ideas when we were bewildered and guiding us on the path to a fun time.

Spice's food is always delicious. We didn't want to have a big steak sit-down dinner while still having a substantial meal. The sandwiches were exotic and super tasty, far more appealing than we even knew they could be. The other meal items were all delicious, and everyone left full and satisfied. Many people told me how good the food was.

Taryn and her crew worked well with all the other people at the wedding and pulled it all off without a hitch. It was a pleasure working with them. We really liked the little things they brought to the table, so to speak, which really made our wedding amazing.

I cannot say enough about A Spice of Life and most importanatly Kathy Vaughn. If you get married at Lionscrest Manor and use Spice you will most likely be working with Kathy. Not only was Spice a wonderful company to work with, very flexible and accommedating but Kathy was by far the best vendor we worked with. She was so nice and more than helpful. They worked wonders with our budget and the food was Amazing!
The staff at the wedding worked incredibly quick and efficiently. Everyone was very friendly. I would highly reccomment Spica and Kathy.

If I had to do it all over again, I would get married here again, with the exact same staff - all of it. A Spice of Life's philosophy on weddings is that you should be a guest at your own wedding (rather than doing a lot of the work like other vedors require). Really, we all got to show up, and enjoy the ride. A Spice of Life Event Center will go the extra mile for you and then some.

Our site coordinator, Joan, was incredible! She made our day so special and wonderful, and I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. On our way to check out the site (before we even booked it), our car broke down. Joan was willing to send a vehicle for us to bail us out, AND she called a local dealership where we could tow our car. She also asked that I call her later to let her know that we were safe - she was genuinely concernec about us before she even met us! We later found out that Joan's anniversary was the same day we got married - she was willing to help make someone else's day special on her own special day!

Also, the site itself is GORGEOUS! Beautiful scenery - amazing!

Spice of life provided our guests at our wedding with amazing food! They were so easy to get in touch with and answer any questions along the way. We were blown away with their menu choices and just loved putting together our perfect menu. Our favorite and most popular item at the wedding were our shrimp and grits appetizers, everyone loved those! Spice of Life is the perfect catering venue to use to ensure that your day goes as smoothly as possible. We would recommend Spice of Life to everyone!

The food from A Spice of Life was AMAZING. They were so flexible with us changing our reception venue only a month away from the wedding and the contact that we dealt with was so helpful and cooperative. They gave us complimentary cheese and cracker platters for the bridal party so we had something to munch on while getting ready. They also put together a picnic basket with leftover snacks for my hubby and me when we left the reception. The only thing that made me give a 4.5 was that they didn't realize that our cake topper was not supposed to be cut up for the guests to eat (we had cupcakes with a topper) so we only ended up getting 2 pieces of our cake to save for our first anniversary. Other than that the service was great.

Absolutely fantastic!!! The whole experience was wonderful, our event coordinator was very responsive to our vision and made it come to life. The staff serving at our reception was highly professional and made it a fun and tasty memory. The presentation of food was beautiful and we hardly had any leftovers as our guests enjoyed everything so much. Delicious & Great Service

Thank you Spice of Life for a delicious wedding celebration! The captain, Jenny & her team did a fabulous job from cocktail hour through the end of the night. Everyone enjoyed their meals and left full and happy! I personally loved the polenta that was with my prosciutto fontina chicken and the ahi tuna appetizer was a favorite all around!

The biggest thing I can say is that my guests loved the food. We got compliments all night on how tasty everything was. I loved that we got 3 pieces of each appetizer per person. I felt that this was a great value as every other caterer quoted us 1 piece of each appetizer per person and their prices were higher! I loved that they served us at our table so we could eat while the guests were going through the buffet line and giving us more time to visit with everyone. I also really enjoyed the picnic basket they sent home with us at the end of the night and that cheese trays for getting ready are included. I thought all of the staff was wonderful! My only complaint is that our event coordinator changed 3 times in 6 months. I understand why on each occasion promotions etc. I just would have liked to work withe the same person the whole way through. That being said I loved each of my coordinators Carrie Jay, Amanda, and Nancy were wonderful and I would not hesitate to work with any of them again.

We had approximately 100 guests. The backdrop of the Flatirons for the ceremony was gorgeous. The food for the reception was wonderful, which my guests keep reminding me of days after! I worked with Paige to plan the event, and she was very attentive and accommodating and patient. Leanne helped us the day of with the reception, and did a great job managing the logistics and service (the rest of the staff provided great service, too.) We had everything we needed for our special day, and as a bonus the cost of the entire package was reasonable. Highly recommend this venue and catering service!

A Spice of Life was great!!!

My husband and I are extremely picky eaters so we needed a catering company with the flexibility and willingness to provide us with food we would like. A Spice of Life was willing to do anything we wanted... Anything. We had so many special requests that I'm sure they thought we were crazy, but they accommodated them all without complaint. They were also very great about working with my sister's severe food allergies.

If you have special food requests, or even if you don't, A Spice of Life is the catering company to go with! You won't be disappointed!

Spice did an amazing job at our wedding - the food was amazing and we had over 200 people, so they did a great job! Dawn was our go-to and she did such a wonderful job making this day perfect! The staff was friendly and everyone did a great job!

The Spice of Life staff were all wonderful. They made sure that we had everything we needed during the reception. They made us a little basket of food so we could take to our hotel room after the wedding. We got many compliments on how great the food was. I would use them again in the future..

I can't say enough about the extra time and dedication A Spice of Life put into my detailed wedding reception. I was completely stressed about every detail of all the planning EXCEPT for the catering. I knew I was in good hands with my event specialist and I really appreciated her constant follow up. She also worked diligently to stay with in my budget yet accomodate every little detail she could. I couldn't have been happier! These ladies really are so professional and a pleasure to work with.

Spice of Life catered our Labor Day wedding, and everyone told us afterwards that it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had! The whole meal was absolutely delicious, and the Spice of Life staff was incredibly helpful with putting a menu together that reflected the feel of our wedding while staying within budget.

A Spice of Life was amazing to work with. The only thing that was even remotely difficult was that I would occasionally play phone tag with them during the planning/tasting phases. However, since I started planning with them way ahead of my event, it never made me feel "out of touch" or panicked. Closer to the date, the folks at Spice of Life were 100% on their game, putting me at ease that plans were 100% taken care of on their end...

And then there was the day-of service! Oh my word--wait on our beck and call doesn't even begin to describe the level of service! From the servers to the day of coordinator to even our in-house representative calling the next day (on a SUNDAY) to tell us congrats. Their attention to detail blew us away.

A Spice of Life did an amazing job catering our wedding. They separated themselves from other caterers by really proving that they wanted to work with us. Their follow up was always amazing and any recommendations they made were spot on. Before actually having the wedding, I had no idea how much they really helped make that day happen. Don't trust something so crucial to anyone but the best. I would refer them over and over!

Spice of Life was absolutely the best choice in catering that we made! A few of our closes friends had used them previously and Kathy was amazing and sweet! They were professional, knowledgeable and the food was amazing! They took care of all of our reception related needs were on time and even stayed later then requested to ensure all things were left in the best of care. We will definitely refer them to our friends in the future! They made sure every possible reception task was covered and were very efficient! Spice of Life was extraordinary!

We had a short list of caterers to choose from and were glad that Spice of Life was on the list. They had a very professional and friendly staff. Our day of wedding coordinator was very helpful. They made sure we were happy throughout our event.

I had a great experience with Spice! They are a little pricey, but definitely still within the reasonable limits. They did a GORGEOUS job with my rehearsal dinner, and pretty much did everything I asked. They were very courteous, professional, responsive, and easy to work with. I would ABSOLUTELY go with them again!

Spice of Life was worth every penny, they basically coordinated our wedding and Dawn was so flexible with us. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had.

Amanda was a great contact and very flexible with our menu. The only thing I would change is the communication could have been a little more clear. The details of our walk through were a little bit miscommunicated. After that and up until the day of the wedding they totally made up for it. The day of the team was fabulous to work with. Thanks!

Our wedding was on January 2nd of this year. We were originally going to have it at the A Spice of Life Event Center, but since it didn't reopen with the flooding, we had to find a new venue. The staff at A Spice of Life was great! They gave us a list of venues to choose from, and went along with the decision we eventually decided on. While there were some monetary issues due to the change in location, we got those worked out.
We also worked with three different people within A Spice of Life (at various times), and at the end, our Event Coordinator was Amanda - who was amazing!

At the end of the day, our wedding went super smoothly!! Amanda and Meridi were wonderful! They were there for us, and made sure that everything went great - they even made sure that my husband and I ate! :D The rest of the staff and the bartenders were wonderful, and talked to the guests and had a good time as well as did their job!

We did a plated dinner and had options for a fish dish (my personal favorite!), a chicken dish, a vegetarian dish (my husband's favorite!), and a vegan dish (a close second favorite for me - and great for the vegan guests you might have!). I have a lot of dietary restrictions, so was hesitant and worried about the meals, but A Spice of Life was very, very, very accommodating and I felt great afterwards!

All we heard after the wedding from the guests, was how amazing all of the food was, and how wonderful the event staff were! I just wish we had more leftovers to take home with us... :/

I loved how Spice of Life knew our reception venue up and down - Dawn was great for knowing what would fly at Planet Bluegrass and what would not, that was irreplaceable, truly! I also loved all the personal touches and service on the day of our wedding. In choosing the menu Dawn was so helpful with what would work together and what would not. I also loved their WIDE variety of foods to choose from. The presentation of the food was also phenomenal on the day of. I will say though that the food on the day of our wedding tasted of a lower quality than on the day of my husband and I's tasting, it was not bad, just not the same level of quality I had anticipated. Lastly, I loved how even though we were not having the reception at their event center they still coordinated all our rentals.

They were wonderful! I always got a quick response from them regarding changes to the menu and number of guest. They worked with us to create the perfect menu and we never had to worry about running out of food to feed our guests. During the reception they also made sure that everything ran smoothly and stayed on time.

A Spice of Life was recommended to us by our wedding planner. The tasting was fantastic and we only changed a couple of things on the menu. We asked that the contract show the cost/item which was helpful with our budget. We also adjusted some things based on how much each item cost. I'm glad we did a walk through beforehand of the set up as there were somethings that were important to me that ASOL was able to accomodate after we reviewed them in the walk through (head table set up, buffet set up, coffee stand, etc.). The food turned out delicious and we received many compliments from guests on the tasty orderves and friendly staff. I would highly recommend the carving station if it's in your budget. The steak was delicious! ASOL provided a waiter at the reception who waited on just me and my new husband. That was amazing and I would highly recommend having your own waiter at your reception, no matter which catering company you go with! A couple of concerns that came up for us were that it took a very long time to finalize the contract, and that was partly due to ASOL taking a couple of months to get back to us with requested changes. Also the heater for the carving station didn't work and it was reported from a couple of guests that at the end of the night, the coffee was cold. Other then that though, everything went really smoothly. The reception was so wonderful and I am very thankful that we chose ASOL as our cateror.

Outstanding Wedding Day Experience, Lackluster Communication

We had an amazing experience with the quality of the food and staff at our wedding. The on-site staff truly went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. We would have had a perfect experience, however, to put it bluntly the communication by our ASOL catering representative was inconsistent and absent throughout the process, even during the final days leading up to our wedding leaving us with requests and questions left unanswered. It was not uncommon to go weeks without receiving answers to our emailed questions, sometimes requiring us to call directly to the company to inquire. This was frustrating and at times stressful to deal with, but fortunately the wedding day came and went without any issues! We seriously can't commend the staff and on-site manager for their professionalism and quality of service. The food was also outstanding!

I really liked the location of this venue. We had our wedding outside on the golf course, and the weather was beautiful. They stop the golf while the ceremony is going on so that was really nice. The few issues I had was that it was extremely difficult to find a hotel in Boulder that was close to the venue that wasn't extremely expensive. We ended up at the Courtyard Marriott which was one of the cheapest yet still nice hotels. However their room rate was still high.

The second issue was that we had a little mix up with the bar tab after the event. We had a set amount that was hosted and for some reason one of the wedding planners "thought" my dad said to add another $500 to the tab during dinner. He had said he would "consider" it if we got closer to the limit. So we got a big old bill after the wedding for an extra $500 that no one knew about. They need to have contract addendum's or something around for people to actual SIGN and confirm they want to add more money to the bar.

Over all though, the look/feel of the location was really nice, and the staff was great to work with except for the bar mishap. And the food was amazing.

Spice of life provided me with a beautiful ceremony location and in the same venue my reception as well. It was also awesome to have my caterer at the same venue as well. Since they were all in the same company, everything flowed nicely and was easy to work with only one company for all 3 services. Their prices were definitely reasonable and their food delicious. I only ranked a little lower than 5 since they transitioned out coordinators in the middle of my planning and a few things that were promised were not so easily promised a second time with the new coordinator. With that said, they did a great job and I had a beautiful wedding. Thank you!

We had an amazing wedding. we got in on a special and learned a few tricks in the business to receive additional discounts- which made our dream wedding a reality. the staff here is amazing. Holly helped us all along the way and answered all of my questions and was flexible, letting me pick and choose how I wanted things to work, let us stop by several times to try and figure out set up, etc. worked with us on a custom menu and selection. Zach set up the ceremony site and helped us with our final set up decisions and also with the flow of the ceremony and dinner reception. Holly thought of almost everything and managed to keep a dialogue going with me for several months during planning and constructing. It takes a lot more thought and consideration planning a wedding that I would have ever imagined but she helped make it easier.\r\nOnly cons were: there was a slight delay in response, but this is common I found out-in the wedding industry. There was a slight misunderstanding and one ingredient that was pretty adamantly left out of the menu-due to severe reaction-was accidentally included during the wedding -yikes, but catastrophe was avoided as I caught it in time and removed it from the plate.\r\nWe had such a good time, we forgot to make ourselves a doggy bag to take with us and the food was SO good but we didnt have a good chance to eat, so I was bummed about that. The tastings we went to were amazing-we loved everything and had a very difficult time choosing only a couple of appetizers and only one dish for dinner! But that\'s a good problem to have.\r\nWe loved the Spice of Life and felt very lucky to have had our wedding here outdoors with the flatirons in the backdrop and a wonderful space with plenty of room for our guests and a built-in dancefloor (as well as a back up rain plan) and free parking-all in such a beautiful space.\r\nDefinitely recommend them.

We are vegetarian, and for the most part, we had a good experience with A Spice of Life.
We requested one meat dish, which our meat-eating family members enjoyed. The vegetarian menu Spice came up with was very good....and it was two salads and two starches. With all the planning, I didn't think too much about that...vegetarians actually don't just eat salads and side dishes. A lot of meat-eaters think inside the box that way. Rosemary potatoes are delicious, and not the star on my plate. I'm the bride and what I had on my plate was side dishes, no star, no main course vegetable.
In retrospect, I would have paid more and asked for a more creative vegetable dish. I think they had other ideas, but why that didn't work out is a little muddled to me. I think we ended up spending more time on the flow and timing than the food. I got the sense on occasion that our caterer would have spent more time on us if we'd had more guests ($). I don't know.
The caterers that worked my wedding were really great, very helpful at the site, and the wedding moved beautifully. The presentation was really nice. The bartender did end up opening (and wasting) four bottles of wine. (I expected partial bottles...not full bottles of the same wine with nothing at all poured from them.)
Mostly, it was a good experience. The food we had was good. It wasn't wow. I think Spice has wow available, and if you're a meat-eater, you might be even happier than I was. I still recommend them....but if great food is what you want, make sure that's clear to them. I'm not sure they got: The Bride and Groom are vegetarian and they love good food.

We were very happy with Jake Safran and the job he and the staff did to make our daughters wedding great. The food was tasty and the staff very helpful. We were very happy we chose A Spice of Life to cater this memorable event!
