Delicious and wonderful

We absolutely loved the wedding cake that we got from Hope! My now husband is not a fan of chocolate so we were on the hunt for the best tasting Funfetti cake because who doesn’t love sprinkles?! The cake was HEAVENLY and Hope was so easy to work with! I highly recommend using them for any cake you might want to get!

Hope is awesome!

Hope makes beautiful cakes, and totally made our vision come to life! We did a pumpkin cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate cake with a raspberry filling. Both were outstanding and the look of the cake was gorgeous. Would highly recommend Hope!

Beautiful design, amazing taste

Hope was amazing to work with and produced a showstopper cake that was – to quote many of our guests – “the best we’ve ever had.” Even though it’s been almost a month since our wedding, we still have friends and family who rave about how delicious and stunning our cake was. We reached out only a couple weeks before our wedding date (our bad!), but Hope was ready to go and met with us right after we reached out. She quickly gathered all of our thoughts on design, and in just one sitting, she had sketched an astonishing art deco design that seamlessly blended our design preferences (not an easy task given the many photos from Pinterest we showed her!). Beyond Hope’s phenomenal artistry, her baking skills are unmatched. Each cake sample we tasted was the best we’ve had of that given flavor. We ultimately chose Funfetti, which all our guests appreciated. Our venue (Branford House in CT) was over an hour away from Hope’s shop, but our cake was delivered on time and in perfect condition. We can’t wait to eat our top tier in one year! Choose Hope to bake the best wedding cake you can imagine!

Hope was wonderful to work with! We had a great consultation and tasting with her, and the cake was more delicious and more beautiful than we could have imagined. It fit the theme for our wedding perfectly and it was so easy to share and come up with ideas that we loved and Hope could execute for us. A Little Imagination Cakes was great! The tasting was superb and the cake did not disappoint. We loved the decorations and the flavor options - the guests were raving about both the pumpkin cake and caramel mousse, and the strawberry cake with peanut butter mousse. Would highly recommend!

I only need to tell you two things about A Little Imagination Cakes. (1) They made us a funfetti cake! (2) Neither my husband nor I got a piece because the guests ate it all. IT WAS GONE. I sincerely thought we would have extra since we have a few gluten free or dieting guests, but several went back for more. It was that good. I'm thinking of ordering a fresh mini replica for our anniversary next year just so we can have some!

Hope and her team at ALIC were absolutely wonderful to work with and, most of all, our wedding cake was not only stunning to look at, but tasted so delicious! My husband and I first tasted an ALIC cake at a wedding show, and the sample was so yummy. From that point forward, their cakes were consistently wonderful every time, whereas other bakeries we tasted were not always that way! I ordered a surprise Groom’s Cake from ALIC in addition to our wedding cake, and Hope was very considerate and thoughtful in making sure that she helped to keep the surprise – she even helped to dissuade my groom from choosing his favorite flavor for our wedding cake while at our tasting, as that is what I had already chosen for his Groom’s Cake, and he never suspected a thing! After talking to guests at our wedding, everyone agreed that the cakes were some of, if not the MOST delicious wedding cake they had ever had. Even though they were large in size, the flavors (we alternated flavors between tiers) were distinct, the cake was moist and fresh, and the buttercream and fillings perfectly complimented their corresponding cake. We didn’t have much left over at the end of the night, but what we did have we served to guests at a post-wedding party the next day, no one could get enough! The team also delivered the cakes safely and promptly to our wedding venue, their payment system was easy to use, and they are prompt and responsive in all communications. Everyone at ALIC clearly loves what they do, and puts endless love, time and energy into their creations. We could not have been more pleased with our entire experience with Hope and A Little Imagination Cakes, and we will certainly use them again for special occasions!

A Little Imagination Cakes was amazing to work with! When we met with Hope for our tasting, we had planned to have our wedding in Bristol, CT, but we later moved our venue up to Amherst, MA. Hope was so flexible and was still willing to work with us despite having to travel further. Our cake was gorgeous (three tiered, marbled blue/gray frosting, and gold leaf), and was delicious (strawberries and cream with amaretto frosting)! A great experience all around!

Hope is incredible! She worked with us to help create a small personal cake for myself and my husband. She fit our aesthetic perfectly, as she even ordered paper flowers to match my bouquet. She is truly talented, and the range of options she has are endless. She also has a huge variety of flavors. Little did we know when my husband and I were referred to Hope Butler by our photographer Carrie Draghi at the Hartford Wedding Expo, that we had just found the BEST baker in Connecticut. We had looked and tasted a couple of other bakeries, but nothing compared to what Hope had to offer. On our first visit and consultation she drew up a sketch of our ideas (which would later become our cake) and had so many wonderful flavor suggestions and options. On wedding day, our cake and cupcakes arrived on time and they were beautiful! Everything was so expertly done and flawless. It was almost to pretty to eat . . . ALMOST! Everything was delicious! We could not be more pleased with Hope and her amazing abilities. Truly a wonderful experience.

My husband and I were wed this past September 2017. We were incredibly lucky to find Hope and her A Little Imagination Cakes Bakery booth at a near by bridal show. WHAT A BLESSING!!
Hopes creations are absolutely incredible. They are not just unique, but masterfully executed! Just as importantly, her cake and cupcakes no matter how big or how small are delicious, but MOST importantly is that they are ALWAYS moist. Even at the tasting, she made us mini cupcakes in a variety of flavors to pair with a full palet of mousse’s and buttercreams and whipcreams. These mini cupcakes were more flavorful and moist than the majority of full size “gourmet” cupcakes ive had anywhere else.
The cake flavor selection is mind boggling! She has perfected recipes for a huge variety of really inventive flavors. We chose for our sweetheart cake flavor, coconut lime. It was amazing and I was eating it everyday for the week and half after our wedding. The last bite was just as tasty! I still daydream about how good it was. I intentionally over ordered by at least 2 dozen based on the number of guests we had. The only reason I got the 4 leftover cupcakes I had was because I had stashed them away as soon as Hope delivered them.
Then there is the woman behind the delicious! A small business owner and sweetheart, Hope is not just unbelievably talented as far as baking delicious goodies and decorating them in a way that makes you triple guess whether those are real flowers on that cake or not, but she also loves what she does, and it really shows. She successfully strives to create a personal and memorable experience for you with her unmatched skills in the kitchen!! We very highly recommend Hope and A Little Imagination Cakes for any and all of your future baked good, spectacular event cake, or cupcake tower needs!!
Hope also recommended the florist we ended up using for the wedding, who was just perfect!
We really owe Hope a lot <3

We were so totally amazed by Hope we can not believe our luck in finding her.

We walked into our meeting with her with no clear ideas, except that we probably wanted cupcakes, and we had some cake toppers from a family member. We left a half hour later with a plan that was perfect for our event and for us as a couple. It's like she knew us personally it was so well suited to us.

The finished product was even more amazing than we could have hoped. Beautiful with incredible details that I can't imagine how you make them out of edible products, and delivered exactly on time, exactly to specifications, etc.

Plus, she was so generous with us. Her prices we already very reasonable, and she did many things for us for free that I would have expected to pay for. Two cake flavors? No problem. Two frostings? No problem. Loads of extra details, building a new cake stand, setting up the decorations on our cake table, etc? No problem!

We will be pushing all our friends towards Hope, and looking for any excuse we can to get another cake from her.

Our cake was amazing! Hope did such an amazing job creating our vision on our cake. The silhouettes of us and the story on each tier came out so great. Hope is incredible! With all the craziness that goes into planning a wedding, the cake/cupcake portion was by far the easiest part of the process!! Hope called me a few days before the wedding to confirm all the details and asked that I leave out all the decorations I wanted on the cupcake table and she would take care of the setup. I snuck into the venue a few minutes before the ceremony to have a few quiet moments and was blown away by how gorgeous the cake/cupcake table was. Her attention to detail was amazing. I wish we had taken more pics before our guests got into the treats! We couldn't have been more happy with her service!

I live in Colorado and was planning a wedding in Connecticut. Hope at A Little Imagination Cakes could not have been easier to work with. She managed to find time in her schedule over Christmas so that I could come in a do a tasting. Hope was very responsive to emails was always willing to answer a question or offer a friendly suggestion.

Her hard work and passion definitely comes through in her product. I had shown her a picture I was interested in for the cake design. She sketched it up and the final product looked identical to the picture. The flavor was amazing even though the cake was almost too pretty to eat!!!

In addition to 5 tier wedding cake, we requested 2 groom's cakes which were very much specialty cakes. We gave Hope Wright some basic sketches/ideas and she created perfection. Gave us chillbumps when first cake was delivered! The flavors offered are a wonderful variety and definitely made our choosing difficult! Go for the mousse! Very nice! And the red velvet was a favorite. The detail was extraordinary.

A Little Imagination Cake and the owner Hope was absolutely wonderful to work with. From the first time I tasted her cakes I knew I wanted Hope to make my wedding cake. When we went for our consultation, Hope drew a beautiful sketch of a cake based off of my ideas and hers. My experience with A Little Imagination Cakes was perfect!

Hope is absolutely amazing and a true artist when it comes to making cakes. The cake and cupcakes for my sister’s bridal shower were beautiful and turned out exactly how I envisioned it. I chose three flavors for the cupcakes and a fourth flavor for the cake, all were out of this world! I received so many compliments on how delicious they were. Hope offered great advice in helping me design the cake and made sure we came up with something the bride would love. She is so easy to work with, very flexible and understanding. She was extremely professional throughout the whole process and any questions I had she always got back to me right away.

I went to Hope at A Little Imagination Cakes for my June 2014 wedding. I met with her and showed her a few ideas and she ran away with it and made the most beautiful, classic and delicious cake ever. From the first email, to our consultation, to our wedding itself, Hope Wright from A Little Imagination Cakes by far surpassed our expectations. We looked around for a while to find a cake decorator who would take our dreams and make them a reality. We were looking for a woodsy realistic tree-trunk cake.
Our consultation was so easy. Hope gave us cake samples to try and it was sooo hard to pick just two for our cake (we ended up with Thai Iced Tea with vanilla icing and Devils Food cake with Peanut Butter Ganache). Hope asked us about our wedding theme, and what we wanted our cake to look like, and came up with an idea and quick sketch to show us right then and there. Her ideas brought our vision to life.
The moment I saw our wedding cake in person, I was shocked at how amazing and perfect it came out. It looked like REAL tree trunks. Amazing! I did not want our cake tasting to end because the cake was so delicious. I could have eaten the whole thing in one sitting!
We are so happy to have chosen Hope and her company for our wedding cake. If you are up in the air about hiring her, take my advice and DO IT! You will not be dissapointed!

Our caterer suggested two different bakers to us, andboth of them were a disappointment for us. We knew we wanted something different and figured it was worth a shot to try a little imagination cakes. We were hooked once we met with Hope, tasted and talked design. Hope was able to design a cake that was almost to pretty to eat. One of the nice things was that my now mother in law surprised me with a bridal shower cake from her and Hope made sure the incorporate a few touches from our design into the shower cake. I am still dreaming about my wedding cake. Four tiers of sugared glittery perfection. Obsessed. From start to finish, we had an amazing experience with Hope and A Little Imagination Cakes. During our planning meeting, we had the chance to show her a few of the ideas we had in mind for design ideas, all while sampling, of course. She had a few cake flavors to sample, along with a few fillings, and buttercream. We were able to mix and match, putting together our top combination of flavors. By the end of the session, she had a sketch ready for us. On the wedding day, one of my bridesmaids came running upstairs shouting, “OMG, your cake is AMAZING.” True story, our cake made it to Instagram before we did. The design was even better than we could have imagined (all glitter!), and guests continue to rave about how delicious it was. No saving the top layer for a year later– we brought it with us on our mini-moon, ordered room service champagne, and ate it for breakfast. Perfect way to start the day! Not just your standard "wedding cake," so much better. Thank you Hope!

There aren’t enough words to describe how thrilled I was with A Little Imagination Cakes and their work on my 9/21 wedding cake. I met Hope at the Hartford Bridal Expo last year and I was just floored by the beauty and detail in her work. I knew that she was who I wanted to make my wedding cake. I work in the art field and as a very detail-oriented person (and as a bride with cake pretty high on my priority list) I had very specific vision of what I wanted my cake to be. I wanted a bright, artistic, watercolor cake with ruffles, and Hope sure delivered. She was genuinely interested and excited in my ideas, and once she whipped out her shoebox of colored pencils to start sketching, I knew she was the perfect fit for me. Hope’s cake was very tasty and her prices were super reasonable for the level of artistic detail involved. She was easy to work and communicate with, was very receptive to my ideas and also offered her professional opinion. I decided to do cake and cupcakes because hubby and I loved too many flavors- we had red velvet/chocolate mousse, lemon/vanilla buttercream, and coconut/coconut. I was completely confident in her abilities, but was still amazed by how gorgeous AND tasty my cake was. Hope hit it out of the park—it was completely perfect. We got so many compliments on how fantastic the cake was. I highly, highly recommend A Little Imagination Cakes to any bride who wants a cake that is equal parts gorgeous and delicious.

Hope is amazing! For a couple who doesn't really eat dessert, she certainly got us excited for what turned out to be a beautiful and delicious cake!

We went to Hope with just a few loose ideas. By the time we left we had tasted some amazing sweet treats and Hope had sketched an amazing cake that fit us perfectly! She asked us just the right questions that gave her the answers she needed to fill in the blanks and create a masterpiece!

The day of, our cake was flawless...beautiful...and so us! We received so many comments on how cool it was.

Hope is also very friendly, easy going and always has a smile. Makes doing business with her very easy.

Hope made our wedding cake, and it was gorgeous *and* delicious! Seriously, everyone raved about it. But perhaps the best experience was meeting with Hope and talking about our cake--I wasn't a bride that was really into wedding planning, but Hope took my lack of opinion in total stride (I had no idea what colors I wanted, what kind of cake, how many tiers, what flavors, etc etc). She gently led me down the path to picking the *perfect* cake. It fit our decor (hand-sewn bunting everywhere at a tented reception) and she literally made tons of little bunting flags and strung them on the cake. It blew my mind and made me cry it was so perfect! She took minor venue snafus in stride as well (they didn't have a table ready for her when she delivered the cake) and was just totally professional in every way. It was seriously a highlight of the wedding. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

"Gorgeous, delicious, inspiring," these were just a few words from our guests to describe the perfect cake that Hope at A Little Imagination Cakes created for our wedding. From the moment we sat down for our tasting and consultation in Middletown to placing the Anniversary Tier in our freezer, we can't get over how wonderful Hope's wedding cake is. I am still getting phone calls and e-mails from our guests about the beautiful shower cake that Hope made for my daughter's bridal shower. It was a three tier purple ombre cake that not only looked great but was delicious too. When I described what I was looking for she immediately knew what I wanted. When it was delivered to the venue, the staff all commented about how beautiful it was and even the chef came out to see it. I highly recommend this bakery.

we got so many compliments on our cake! everyone loved it, they said they've never had such good wedding cake!!!! Hope, the owner, is awesome. After narrowing down my top 3 bakers based off of reviews/online portfolios- I knew very quickly into meeting Hope that I would want her designing my wedding cake! In other consultations, there was the usual discussion about what I'm looking for, then they would show me more pictures of their work and would ask if I wanted something similar to specific photos they were showing me. With Hope, I showed her my inspiration images/discussed what I wanted and she immediately grabbed her pencil and paper and got to work at drawing the a picture of exactly what I wanted as if she had read my mind.

She designed three different cakes- 1 large and 2 smaller with lace/peonies/pearls/ruffles and then a bunch of cupcakes to be arranged all around the cakes(by having cupcakes- I was able to save a lot of money instead of having the cakes large enough to serve all of the guests). Her cakes were also absolutely delicious- my guy wasn't able to make the consultation and she sent me home with huge pieces for him to try(automatic thumbs up in our book ;-) ) Not only was she able to draw my vision, but she completely delivered on my wedding day and made an absolutely beautiful wedding cakes/cupcakes that my guests couldn't stop raving about!
She took my entire vision and brought it to life and I cannot thank her enough for making the perfect cake(s)- A Little Imagination Cakes rocks!!!

We had an incredible experience with Hope and ALIC! During our consultation, she drew up a design based on our Art Deco/Southwestern invitation and we immediately fell in love. Though we only wanted a small cake for cutting, (dessert was officially strawberry shortcake) Hope was willing to take us on and designed a 3-tier, 3 flavored masterpiece on a small scale. She truly went above and beyond, going to far as to deliver our cake to our venue to save us a pick up trip. I would recommend A Little Imagination to any bride- delicious, beautiful cakes, and SO fun to work with!

Love them! We got to pick two different flavors for our cake which were delicious! It was so much fun sitting down with Hope and designing the colors and style I wanted. On our wedding day to see our beautiful cake displayed for all of our guest to enjoy was great. I'm a huge peanut butter lover and Hope said she would make our cake for our one year anniversary peanut butter filled just for me. With a little touch like that makes you feel so special and that's why I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I went through A Little Imagination Cakes for our groom's cake. My now hubby has an obsession with Dragon Ball Z, an anime cartoon (I know, I know)... and I thought it would be a great surprise to have something special for him that brought his favorite cartoon to life. A Little Imagination Cakes did a great job designing a cake that brought all of the elements to life and the cake itself was tasty. Visually, the cake was a work of art and hubby was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely recommend them!

I was married on April 22, 2012 and had a wedding cake included as part of my wedding package. At the time, I was happy with what I had (a very basic cake with our monogram on it) UNTIL.... I had the AMAZING and fortunate opportunity to work with Hope on a secondary photoshoot using another wedding cake. WHAT AN UTTERLY FABULOUS JOB SHE DID WITH THE IDEAS THAT WE GAVE HER!!! I look back now and desperately wish that I had known about Hope and her services for my actual wedding day. My husband and I had a comic book themed wedding, and I've got to say - she BROUGHT IT TO LIFE! From the Batman head as the top of the cake, to the Superman cape in the middle tier and ALL the amazingly intricate details of putting our comic book invitation ON the actual cake itself! COMPLETELY blown away. Puts my "wedding package cake" to utter shame! Brides, if you are looking for a way to WOW your guests, HOPE is the one to go to! She is super friendly and sweet and a breeze to work with. NOT to mention that the cake was DELICIOUS too! I hope to be able to work with her again in the future. DON'T STICK WITH THE PACKAGE CAKE - GO WITH HOPE!!! SHE IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!!

Hope and her staff made the most wonderful cupcake tower for our July 22nd wedding and we would absolutely recommend her!!! After a VERY tasty and personal trial we went with red velvet cupcakes with butter cream frosting. Many of our guests commented on how tasty these treats were and NOT TO MENTION...THE TOWER WAS GORGEOUS!

Also. as a surprise to my husband, I requested that Hope make a groom's cake which looked exactly like our German Shepherd. Not only was this cake incredibly affordable, but she absolutely nailed it, caught every detail of our dog, and my husband was blown away!!

Hope knows how to work with you (even from across the country like she did with us!). She is professional, friendly, and definitely the one you want for your wedding cake!

We are so glad that we found Hope and A Little Imagination Cakes. We were losing hope that we would find someone that would get our theme for our wedding since we had visited with 3 other bakers that were very ho-hum about it. Our theme was Walt Disney Worlds Haunted Mansion. When we met with Hope for a consultation and tasting, not only did she know what it was but she had also researched it and had pictures loaded to her computer. She was the first person to be excited about it. Hope helped us pull together what elements we wanted to highlight and how they could be done with cupcakes. When we left Hope we finally had a good feeling that someone “got” us.

When we saw our cupcakes at the wedding we were amazed. We never could have imagined that someone could do such awesome decorations on cupcakes that were spot on with our theme. Not only were they beautiful but they tasted amazing, the whole room that they were in smelled like chocolate and peanut butter. The chocolate cake was moist and flavorful, and the peanut butter ganache was creamy but didn’t overpower the cake.

I would definitely recommend Hope to anyone having an event in Connecticut. She was super reasonable with pricing and delivery for us.

The only thing I wish was that Hope had a store front so I could go there every weekend and get cupcakes from her all the time.

I really enjoyed working with A Little Imagination Cakes. This team is very talented and easy to work with. You won't find a comparable cake artist in CT with such good pricing. Hope sat with me and sketched out the cake I was dreaming up and made it come to life. I went to another very high end cake artist who wouldn't even draw the cake unless I put money down and kept bringing up how more details would cost more. You can tell this bakery does it for the love of creating cakes. And the taste..amazing. I got a white chocolate raspberry for the wedding cake and chocolate for the grooms cake. Both cakes were delicious and best of all the fondant was amazing.. melted in your mouth and tasted like candy. If you are looking for a cake that is special and memorable, check them out.

Hope was awesome! When we met with her we had one pretty vague idea and she turned it into exactly what we had imagined. The cake flavors are very creative and delicious and cover a wide variety from traditional to non-traditional. We chose "Thai Iced Tea" and it was fantastic! Last minute my husband and I had a bit of a glitch in our wedding cake toppers. I frantically looked around online for something, and came across a little imagination cakes. I emailed them with our dilemma, and got a response from Hope, stating it was no problem, she could make the cake toppers with no problem. We sent her a picture of what we wanted, whch was 2 penguins dressed as a bride and groom. She said it was no problem, and she would have them ready in time, despite the late request. We picked them up the day before our wedding, and they were perfect! They were exactly what we had wanted, and as much as it pained us to eat them, becasue they looked so good, they were delicious too! I highly reccomend A LIttle Imagination Cakes for your wedding needs!

I first saw A Little Imagination Cake at a charity function. Hope had donated a cake to the charity, and the winner allowed it to be sliced up for eating. I hate cake so I did not get a piece. After some convincing, I was willing to try the cake and it was INCREDIBLE. Soon after that, I contacted Hope because I wanted a cake for my 30th birthday. We met, I did a cake tasting, I described to her what I wanted in a cake. Through the whole meeting she was very professional, and I was impressed with her as a person, I was impressed with her business, and I was impressed with her cakes. On the day of my birthday, she delivered the cake early, so I walked in to find the most beautiful cake I have ever seen in my life. It was better than I ever could have imagined a cake being. I started to tear up as soon as I saw it. Everyone at my party was impressed with the beauty and later the flavor of my cake. Hope did not make me the cake of my dreams. The cake of my dreams was drab and boring compared to what she did for me. Hope took the cake of my dreams and made it so much better. I can't thank her enough.

We got our wedding cake from Hope. It was probably the most delicious cake ever and was so beautiful! The bottom of our 60 guest cake was hand painted with purple sugar flowers. The top, which is our anniversary layer, was a Tardis from Doctor Who. Our flavors were chocolate raspberry and cherry amaretto with an amaretto buttercream. The cake was wonderful, on time and perfect and we couldn't have asked for anything more amazing!

Hope is an amazingly talented artist on top of being an excellent baker. When we started looking for wedding cakes we had assumed that cake was just a check box on our to do list and that any cake would do. We had gone to several other cake shops and general bakeries who asked to see the pinterest image of what we wanted, but when we went in to A Little Imagination Cakes Hope asked us what our theme was and our ideas and inspirations. She then sketched out our wedding cake on the spot! For our tasting we had pre-selected several different cakes flavors, fillings and frosting ahead of time and then while at the tasting were able to try each individually so we could determine the best combination. We both loved the raspberry swirl cake with dark chocolate buttercream between the layers.
Hope took our ideas and colors and created a beautiful design that matched our styles perfectly. We loved the end result and were so thrilled to have a truly one of a kind cake to celebrate our wedding with. We were told by many of our guests how delicious the cake was and many wanted more than one piece. Also the marshmallow fondant is as delicious as it sounds.

Hope and her team went above and beyond to create a beautiful arrangement of cupcakes for my wedding. Everything she did was even better than I could have imagined and it was all so delicious. I was so very pleased about Hope and her work with our cake for one of our good friend's bridal shower. I had sent her a long email with my requests (it was a "Friends" related cake and I tried to be as specific as I could to ensure that it was what we wanted). Hope was amazing to work with! When we first met with Hope, we had a few ideas, but were not sure of exactly what we wanted for our reception cake. After brainstorming, getting our likes/dislikes, and a few laughs later, Hope drafted the perfect cake for us. Hope was able to execute this into a beautiful cake for our reception. Our cake turned out beautifully and exactly to our specifications. We received numerous compliments on both its appearance as well as how delicious it was.

I personally feel that the deliciousness is the most remarkable since a decorated cake is a balance between edibility and structural integrity - tasty cake is light, spongy, and moist - stable cake is dense, stiff, and dry. Often highly decorated cakes like wedding cakes prioritize stability and the resulting product leaves guests grateful for a sliver sized portion.

It's a frequent enough issue that when shopping around for a cake we considered the possibility of having a purely decorative cake and then feeding the guests using a sheet cake to avoid it.

Our 'A Little Imagination Cakes' wedding cake, however, fulfilled both the "look good" and "taste good" roles to an exceptional degree that had both of us quite pleased.

My one minor quibble would be that Hope, from what I can tell, is a very easy-going and laid-back type person. This can either be a blessing or a potential cause of worry given the temperament of the customer. If you have a neurotic bride like I did, you might find yourself having to make some calls just to make sure everything is on track. I can assure you that you needn't worry, but if your bride was like mine, you'll probably find yourself having to make that call anyways, 'regardless of what some idiot on the internet says'.

TL:DR - Overall, we rate the experience very highly and recommend this vendor. We had many flavors to choose from and the ones we picked were awesome. The cake was decorated exactly as we had envisioned and the price was far lower than the competitors.

Hope was amazing! She really worked with us during our consultation to design something that was perfect for us and went with our theme. It was Hope's website that first got me excited about setting up a meeting with her. It was professional, whimsical, and FUN!
After meeting with her, we cancelled our final cake appointment for that weekend, and booked her that night.
I was not willing to compromise on look or taste, and Hope provided us with an extremely beautiful vintage style cake in our colors, that tasted WONDERFUL. We gave her some creative freedom, and she made our cake a work of art.
Occasionally, I had a hard time getting responses via email, but I' sure if I would have picked up the phone, Hope would have been there to answer my questions on the spot. She is wonderful! We are hoping to take one of her cupcake decorating classes in the future!

Hope was amazing in making our dream cake come alive. It was beautiful and amazingly delicious. The only thing that could possibly have been wrong was thedistribution of flavours was wrong in the finalised product. But everything was so amazing, wer didn't mind.

Hope was awesome. Super creative and fun. Delicious flavors. We did cupcakes and a topper. The cake tier we requeste became unavailable last minute and our rental fee was returned. She difficult to reach at times requiring follow up emails or phone calls but her quality of work was stellar.

Absolutely amazing cake for our rehearsal dinner. It was beautiful and exactly what I had wanted. Cake was a little dry in some spots but I think out of 22 people who had it only 2 felt that way so most pieces were delicious.

Hope was great during our consultation. She really knew how to present her cakes, and also observe us as a couple to get a feel for what we wanted.

In the time leading up to the wedding, I felt our communication could've been a little better/more frequent, however that could've been more my fault being so busy with everything.

Overall, the cake was great and she brought our vision to life.
I would recommend her to others!

Hope at A Little Imagination Cakes has big ideas and pulls through on all of them. Her creations are meticulous and detailed. The flavors are delicious, the cake light and moist. Absolute perfection and the perfect end to our reception.

Cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. However, it was hard to get a hold of them; I emailed and never heard back from them. I tried to confirm with them before the wedding, never heard from them. They did show up with a nice looking cake so I was pleased Taste and flavor....ehhhh...was the greatest. I would use her again if I wanted something to LOOK nice but didn\'t care about taste.

My wedding cake came out amazing! We had a specialty cake incorporating both mine and my husband's passions. The outside of the cake was a farm scene because I'm a vet tech and grew up on a horse farm. The top was a day-time sky theme. The inside of the cake was night-time/galaxy themed because my husband's hobby is astrophotography. The cake looked amazing! Hope was able to make it look like there were stars throughout swirls of galaxy colors. My only complaint is that at the first consultation I was undecided about a cake topper, then a few months later I had emailed Hope and asked for two birds for our cake topper and she said it was no problem. The day of my wedding, the cake was delivered with no cake toppers and my caterer tried calling three times and no response, so we had to use flowers as a cake topper. The cake looked incredible and had enough to distract from the fact that it was only flowers sitting on top, but I was so excited for my little bird cake toppers (it would have completed my animal theme on the outside and the theme for my wedding was love birds) so I was sad they were never made and/or delivered.

The cake was so shockingly ugly and horrible tasting, a complete $400.00 rip off. I would love to post a photo of this hideous cake, I guess it's not an option.
The very least this company could have offer was a refund - they never answered my phone messages.
