  Alex did my hair for my wedding and also my bridal party in September 2014. Alex was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to have as a vendor. My hair on my wedding day exceeded my expectations. I cannot say enough about A la Mode Up Do`s by Alex!!!!! I will use her services again and would recommend her to anyone!!!

  Alex was just fantastic. Me and my wedding party were so happy with our hair. She was professional and a great energy to have around on our crazy day. Shes receptive to suggestion, but I would recommend going with Alex's expertise as she has a great flare and eye for hair.

  Alex came to my home a few weeks prior to the wedding to do a trial session based on our conversation. I was really happy that she totally understood what I was looking for even though I did not have a picture to show her as I was not really sure myself!! On the day of the wedding she calmly and efficiently created a beautiful up do for myself and 2 daughters. I look forward to using her services again someday when my daughters get married.

  Alex is an exceptional hair stylist. She is professional, focused and creative, mastering every hair style into a true work of art. For my wedding, Alex perfectly recreated 4 different looks for my bridesmaids that they had either described to her, or showed her with a photo. On top of that, all of their hairdos held up for the entire day/night-despite the strong rain and wind on my wedding day. I was also very impressed by a hairstyle Alex did for me before a wedding I attended the year after. Whether you know exactly what look you are going for, or you want a stylist with a creative perspective, I would definitely recommend Alex. You won't be disappointed!

  Alex is an absolutely amazing hair stylist, she is talented and creative, able to recreate any look you are going for from a photo or just ideas. She takes the time to understand the look and style you are going for, and will make sure you are 100% satisfied with the results. Alex did my hair for a wedding, along with the three other bridesmaids, all with very different hair types and unique styles chosen. We were of course running behind like any bridal party, but she was so calm, quick, and professional she made sure we were ready to go in time. All four of us loved our hairstyles, and they held up for the entire day, even through photos in strong winds and rain! Alex will make you feel absolutely gorgeous for your wedding day or special event, I wouldn't book anyone else for my next event.

  Alex styled my hair and my 2 bridesmaids hair for my wedding a few weeks ago. We could not be happier with our hair or with Alex. She is professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.   I had my hair done by a la mode updo's by Alex for my wedding, along with my maid of honor. She did an exceptional job- she has a strong desire to please and actually listens to you when you have suggestions and ideas. She is nice, professional, and great at doing hair.   Alex did a wonderful job for myself and my bridesmaids. She was very professional and knew exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't so sure. The hairstyles were all so beautiful and really lasted throughout the day.

  When it came time to organize my wedding, I had three weeks. With very short notice, I found Alex and made a trial run appointment. With no one referring me to her site nor any recommendations, I hoped her quality of style would match mine. After the trial run, I knew she would be able to develop the vision I had for her. My trial run was in Maple Ridge with the wedding located downtown. With no hesitation, she drove to both locations, which illustrated her dedication for her work. She was prompt, professional, open to suggestions, extremely flexible and made me feel more beautiful then I thought I could on one of the most important days. Her work is truly outstanding.

  I searched for various stylists on facebook around my area. I wanted someone professional, affordable and could give me my dream hair. When I saw Ala mode's photos ; I could see the real effort and diversity. I decided to give her a try and she is brilliant! I had always my hair to be exactly like the ones in magazines and Alex did exactly that. My hair was definitely a highlight of my wedding. Afterall, its the 2nd thing after the dress and it definitely complimented my dress. What I really appreciated is that Alex comes to you so no matter where your getting ready, you dont have to worry about going places the morning of. So that was wonderful and really stress-free. Five stars for sure!

  I recently had my hair done for my wedding by a La mode by Alex. She's extremely talented and I couldn't have had anyone else do my hair for my wedding. I loved it and I'm extremely picky about my hair and have a hard time trusting people but Alex did a wonderful job. She also made my bridesmaids hair stunning. I recommend her to anyone wanting their hair perfect for their big day or any special event. She really understands what you like and don't like as long as you tell her.
