  I can not say enough about Laurie and her staff. My wedding was at my family farm over an hour away from the Albany area. Laurie traveled there multiple times to visit the site and get inspiration. She assisted coordinating everything with all of my vendors and brought a team to decorate the property before the wedding. I also retained Laurie's services only 3 months before my wedding due to several personal problems that prevented me from focusing on my wedding. In the end, I could not believe how beautiful everything looked - the whole event went above and beyond my expectations. Maybe most importantly, Laurie was responsive and helped keep me calm. I highly recommend Laurie and her team!

  If you think paying for a wedding planner is an unnecessary expense…think again. With less than five weeks to my wedding, I was left without a wedding venue. My current venue was illegally renting out a space and my fiancée and I were left to relocate everything in short amount of time.
  
  I heard of A Gracious Event in Guilderland and reached out to Laurie for help. Laurie met me the same day I called and reassured me that with a little creativity and her connections we could find a replacement venue. Two days later Laurie showed me a location that was so similar to where we originally planned our wedding, and a much closer distance to our home. Laurie was prompt, responsive and always delivered. Laurie answered all my questions throughout the process and made sure the day of our wedding went off beautifully.
  
  In five years, a year, no one is going to remember the flowers, the cake or even the decorations. What they will remember is how stress-free a bride and groom is, and how much they are enjoying themselves. Laurie had made that possible for me in the most unforeseen situation.

  I had the pleasure of working with Laurie at A Gracious Event, to book our fabulous honeymoon! My husband and I were looking for a honeymoon spot that was very particular. Laurie truly listened to what we wanted, and, since she had been to all of the places, knew exactly which resort would fit us best! And, it truly did. We had a remarkable time, and Laurie was so fantastic to work with. Very professional, quick responses, and the trip was flawless! She even personalized a letter to us explaining our travel, which was a fantastic piece of mind. I highly recommend booking a honeymoon through A Gracious Event!

  Laurie at a gracious event was the best. She helped us book and find the best deal we could for our dream honeymoon. She was always quick to respond no matter what time of day. She was even able to arrange a last minute flight for us to a closer airport so we didn't have to drive. I would highly reccommend working with Laurie. Thank you!

  Laurie and her team at A Gracious Event were amazing! Our wedding was one of our dreams!! Not only did she make the entire planning process enjoyable, she made the big day one of relaxation, pampering and fun for us! Once you meet Laurie you will not hesitate to put your full trust in her for something as important as your wedding!! She lsitened to every idea big and small and found a way to incorporate those ideas into our budget. We truly felt as though we were her only priority throughout the entire process. Her knowledge and connections to area vendors was huge for us, and all were very professional and of great quality! If anyone is planning a wedding or event make sure to call Laurie at A Gracious Event to ensure a memorable day!!

  Sue made my daughters wedding dress. My daughter couldn't find exactly what she wanted anywhere. She was so easy to work with and really understood my daughters vision. Her workmanship is outstanding.

  We contacted Laurie at the beginning of August because we knew we wanted a backyard wedding, but we were worried that it would be too much work for us and our family. What we wanted most was for all our family and friends to be able to just come to our wedding and have a good time. I also did not want us to have to worry about coordinating anything on our wedding day. Laurie and her staff did that for us in 6 weeks. We gave Laurie our ideal wedding date, and she set up meetings for us with the available vendors. She got the photographer, tent company, florist, minister, musician, caterer and the wedding favors. She also recommended the bakery where we got our cake and then picked it up for us the day of the wedding. Because Laurie has so much experience in event planning she was able to assemble a wedding team that seemed to us to work flawlessly together. Laurie and her fellow staff member, Amber, were even at the wedding to set up and coordinate everything throughout the ceremony and reception. We used the same chairs for the ceremony and reception, but I don't even remember seeing them move them because they were so fast. It was a stress free wedding.
  Throughout the planning period, Laurie was easily accessible to answer questions that I had. In a short period of time she was able to expand on our few ideas and create a fantastic, relaxing wedding ceremony and reception for us. A Gracious Event was well worth the money.
