Amazing Wedding Planner

Writing this review was harder than anticipated not because it was difficult but because there were so many great and amazing things to say about our wedding planner Claudia from “A Day to Remember”. When we contacted Claudia, she replied immediately and wanted to set up a meeting right away and get to know us. On our first meeting, we immediately got along with each other and she became our best friend. Claudia is a fun, kind, and honest person but most importantly she truly cares about making your wedding dreams come true. Her concerns were making sure that we were happy with the products that she presented, with who we worked with, and if we were having fun, stress free. She handled everything in a timely manner, assured we knew every little thing that was happening and was always professional. Her experience and knowledge of the industry was exactly what you want out of a wedding planner. Claudia not only made our experience magical but not a single moment was left behind. So many memories were made mainly because of her help in making the day of our wedding magical. We are extremely grateful for Claudia and the “A Day to Remember” team. Instead of being a couple who just wanted to end the stressful event, we turned into a couple that didn’t want the day to end. You are amazing!! Beautiful Wintery Wedding

Claudia is one of the most talented and creative wedding planners in the business. Our wedding reception and experience were truly stunning and exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still talking about how fabulous our wedding was six months later, and a few have jokingly said they wished we got married again so that we could put on another celebration to replicate the experience that we all had. As stressful as wedding planning often can be, I can honestly say we were not all that stressed during the process as we knew every detail was handled. We really enjoyed working with her and her team, and we would recommend them to anyone, especially LGBT weddings (we are a gay couple). We look forward to planning another party in the future!

Truly a day to remember

When my husband and I decided to start planning our dream wedding we got quickly stressed and realized that we didn't have the time to coordinate all the things we wanted. Thankfully we found Claudia with A Day To Remember. Her process of building a relationship with us and capturing our vision was fun and easy. She is so experienced and has so many resources. She communicated with all the vendors for us and put together an amazing event that was beyond our expectations. I often wish we could relive our wedding day! I could not thank her and her team enough. Having her by our side made all the difference.

A Day To Remember truly is the best wedding planner in the business. My experience with her and her team was incredible every step of the way. From the first meeting, Claudia listened intently to my desires and needs, took extensive notes, and genuinely cared to know how I envisioned my wedding day. Every detail of my wedding day reflected the conversations we had during my first consult with her. Her passion for wedding planning and people exudes out into everything she does. Every detail had purpose and intent because A Day To Remember oversaw each part from what vendors I used, to the stationery, and even down to which bridesmaid's dresses fit the theme the best. Clear Lake Wedding - Spring 2019

From the first day my wife and I met with Claudia, we felt an immediate connection and were extremely comfortable having her plan our wedding. We chose the full wedding planning package and day-of coordination, and Claudia consistently demonstrated an eye for detail and design on every element of the wedding as well as an ever present cheerful personality and optimism. With Claudia's recommendations we were able to secure an amazing venue, an awesome photographer, and many other excellent vendors all while working to our budget and making sure everything fit our style and personality. She was always willing to work around our challenging work and travel schedule and communicated with us as frequently as was possible. The wedding and reception were both a great success, and it was all thanks to Claudia's determination and expertise.

I can't stress enough how absolutely amazing our experience was with Claudia and her Day to Remember team. They've been in the business for many years and are literally "in" with every single vendor, venue, band, etc. I had the most magical of weddings because of Claudia, and I was practically stress-free the entire time. So much to give praises about with Claudia and her wedding planning/coordination services. I knew I wanted to have a wedding planner with my tight schedule and some DIY projects that I wanted to embed in the event. She and I communicated often via text and email. Her responses were timely whether it was for vendor recommendations or to help me choose between ideas. The inspiration board she developed for me was key to help me communicate with some vendors.

Claudia has a positive energy that just clicked with us when we chose to work with her for our wedding. She quickly got our vision of the wedding and executed it on our wedding day.

Don’t let the smiles fool you, Claudia will go to war for you when necessary. She helped me negotiate with a few vendors and put in some calls for me to help things move along. She kept me straight on the theme for my wedding and helped me decide against expenses that were unnecessary.

On the day of the wedding, she dealt with all vendors at the venue, put out a few fires and dealt with a few situations that made things work seamlessly.

On the week OF the wedding, she designed and developed all of the “day-of-wedding” stationary. She used some ideas and our prior conversations and designed the most perfect escort and place cards, thank you cards, menus, etc.

Our wedding turned out to be the most beautiful soft-garden-with-a-touch-of-rustic wedding I have attended.

Your wedding will be magical to you. You will also need to be flexible to go to plan B on some things. With Claudia as your coordinator, your plan Bs will look and feel like that was exactly how everything was meant to be. Thank you, Claudia, for the most beautiful wedding I could have imagined for my husband and me.

I absolutely loved the work that was put together for my daughter's Quince! I had a vision and it was executed perfectly! The décor was gorgeous and everybody was very impressed on how elegant and classy it looked! Claudia was great to work with and she knew exactly what I was looking for. How can I count the ways I would have gone insane if I hadn't hired Claudia as my wedding planner? I've lost count, but let me just say she was worth EVERY SINGLE CENT! Claudia kept me sane during the planning, allowing me to put my focus on graduating. Bettered my mom and Claudia, I almost felt like the groom who would show up and everything was already hashed out. I'm not the kind of person who likes to fuss over details, although I get it, they are important, but Claudia made the process easy. She takes the time to get to know, your style and taste and before you know it, she just gets you and everything she selected for me was perfect!

If you are getting married, hire a planner who will take the time to personalize your wedding. Claudia did just that for my husbnd and me and we will be forever grateful! You really did create a day to remember for us!

As mother if the bride you want your daughter's wedding to be perfect in every way. My daughter had a specific vision in mind, but with school and me living in a different city, planning her wedding was becoming very stressful. We meet with several planners and immediately connected with Claudia. She understood my daughter's vision and made her wedding a beautiful reality.

No detail was left unnoticed, Claudia recommended wonderful vendors and made sure the wedding day ran like clockwork. I am an extremely detailed-oriented woman and can become very hands on, but Claudia and her staff allowed me the opportunity to really enjoy my daughter's wedding! I could go on and on, but in the end, I can't stress enough the importance of hiring a wedding planner. Claudia and her staff were wonderful and would hire her again if I had any more daughters.

I found Claudia through one of the wedding shows, but in all honesty, had already heard of her company. After meeting with her, I fell in love with her personality and her great sense of humor. She made my wedding planning stress free, knowing I didn't have to worry about a thing. Claudia understood my taste and style, so it made it easier to convey what I wanted.

Planning a wedding takes some serious work and my mom thought she could handle it. With me going to school and my mom out of town, I told her I needed a wedding planner. I'm so glad my mom conceded, it was the best investment! We found at one of the wedding shows and loved her immediately! She made us feel at ease and the stress level dropped! Claudia made our planning fun, enjoyable and most importantly, stress free! She recommended top-notch vendors and had fantastic ideas and made our wedding look so beautiful! When we began to plan for our wedding, we quickly knew this was something we needed a professional touch to make it special and stress free. We found that in Claudia. Our expectations were blown away and the event was more than we could have imagined or hoped for on our special day. We have recommended Claudia and all of her fantastic contacts to everyone we know. My husband persuaded reluctant me of the need to have a planner--after seeing Claudia in action, I can't believe I ever thought we could do this without one--her in particular. We hired Claudia with less than 3 weeks before the event, and she masterfully put together what's been reported as the largest gay wedding in the history of Houston. Her suggestions were always perfect, and her attention to details was phenomenal. When we asked her to meet with us in person, she was always there. Emails and calls were always answered promptly. Over 350 people were in attendance of all ages and backgrounds, and to a person, people were blown away--we give Claudia so much credit for taking the stress off our hands and making sure the show went off without a hitch. We had the wedding and reception and entertainment (including mariachis, drag queens, confetti bombs, stiltwalkers, and so much more!) in the same place, and everything went perfectly, thanks to Claudia and her staff. We have heard from so many who thought the wedding was the best they had ever attended (gay or straight)--we tell them all the real thanks goes to Claudia. If you are planning a wedding--in Houston or anywhere--you NEED to have Claudia be your planner!

A Day to Remember provided us with the most wonderful "Wedding Weekend to Remember"! Claudia G. de Velasco provided us with A++ service in planning and executing our daughter's wedding. Her ability to connect us with the finest vendors - Linens, Coffee Bar, Flowers, DJ, Photographer, Videographer - was amazing. She saved us from having to "search" for the best one. Her company had worked with all of our vendors before and the execution on the day of the rehearsal and wedding was like a well oiled machine. Claudia was always available to connect with either by phone, text, email or in person. Claudia's creative talent allowed us to have a truly unique style and flair for the wedding that left guests speechless! I believe the key was Claudia's ability create and then tie the theme and color of the invitations to all printed materials, linens and especially the flowers! She was available for the Rehearsal and the entire day of the wedding. I cannot say enough about her ability to keep everyone calm and focused during the day and through the reception. All of the special events during the reception - introduction of wedding party, parents, dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss - went flawlessly under her direction. As the "couple send off", she had all the guests take handfuls of rose petals and surround the dancing couple in a half circle. The photographer and videographer were on the stage looking at the crowd. The couple danced and when the music stopped the guests threw the petals on them in a shower of pink and ivory. It was gorgeous! And the pictures were divine. Claudia and A Day to Remember gave us exactly what we all wanted for our only daughter's wedding. We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, creative and professional company to work with. I highly recommend her company and talent.

Claudia is a great person to work with, she truly listened to all my ideas and figured out my style to create an AMAZING layout with AWESOME décor! She completely revamped the hall, most of the guests could not believe it was the same hall that they are used to seeing. Claudia & her team helped make my wedding A Day to Remember not just for me & my husband, but for my mom as well. Maybe even all the guests-they can't stop talking about it. We have gotten so many compliments! For my mom's part she enjoyed the fact that she was actually able to enjoy the wedding and not worry about any issues. It gives me great please to leave such positive feedback for two lovely ladies from "A Day to Remember". Our wedding planner was Anaise Guzman, Claudia was there to assist Anaise if needed, we were her first official clients. My now wife and I had been contemplating on whether we should get a wedding planner or not. I of course did not see the need for a planner my lovely wife was a few steps ahead of me and had already called around and got in touch with Claudia. My wife had set up a consultation and I was there via Skype. The chemistry was definitely there as both parties laughed and connected on many levels. From that moment on we had a great time planning our wedding with the ladies. Every vendor they had recommended surpassed our expectations and we were very pleased. I cannot believe that I did not want a planner. I really felt their support when it was time to pick details about the wedding. They were there to get excited with my lady about planning. A little side note for the guys, men are not very enthusiastic when it comes to planning a wedding (we know). I kind of missed the moments where I was supposed to be extremely excited about things such as, colors, flowers, bridesmaid’s dresses, etc. Luckily Anaise and Claudia were my support group. They, unlike me, knew when it was time to get excited and I was really grateful for that!
Having the ladies around was a great benefit. We were happy with all of the hard work Anaise did in planning the wedding. She made sure that we were in budget, paid all of the vendors on time, and was not afraid to give her professional opinion if something looked bad. We love Claudia because she was always in good spirit and kept thing interesting. She is also designed our wedding invitations which were amazing. Her last minute thinking and color coordination is legit, please trust her she is very good at what she does! I would recommend these ladies for your wedding!

In my wildest dreams would I have imagined that our wedding day would have turned out SO beautiful, SO well organized and SO very special. I resisted hiring anyone to help me plan or even allow my friends and family to assist. I wanted to do it all myself as I really enjoyed planning and wanted to exclusively control the reigns. About a month before our wedding, I realized that I couldn't be in 10 places at once and had a major reality check. Claudia and her team happened to be available for our wedding, so they stepped in, put me at ease and became my partners in planning all of the little details that I hadn't gotten around to finalizing. I LOVE Claudia and her team. She is like family now. She genuinely cares about my husband and I and did everything in her power to meet all of our needs. She even helped to design and print all of our stationery. She understood our vision and stayed true to that. I would recommend Claudia and her team to anyone in search of a planner for not only a wedding, but an engagement party, a bridal shower, even a baby shower. Our guests were so impressed with her. It's been months since our wedding and people still talk about our wedding and say how it was one of the most beautiful weddings ever attended. I have to give much credit to Claudia and her staff for truly making our wedding a day to remember!

Claudia spent countless hours with me designing and creating just wonderful ideas, listening to my crazy thoughts and simply keeping me sane during the planning madness! I don't know if I would have gotten through it, since I was still in school and about to graduate. A simple thank you is just not enough! Using Claudia of Day to Remember was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. At first, I thought I could plan the wedding on my own, as I am a pretty organized person and I'm usually the party planner in our family get togethers. Boy, was I mistaken when it came to the wedding! I had a vision, but quickly realized I didn't have the expertise or the time to take on for my husband's and my special day. I went online and in magazines and kept coming across A Day to Remember, among other planners. Claudia's personality and her enthusiasm are what won me over. I'd seen her beautiful work and knew that with all those elements combined, I was in good hands. Claudia is a woman who makes things happen! She is exactly the kind of lady you want behind you on your wedding day. We hired Claudia to plan our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the end result. She not only listened to our needs, but even understood what we wanted without us even telling her. She had a specific vision in mind for our venue, yet, nothing was really calling our name. Claudia asked that we trust her to find the perfect venue for us and she did! The venue had everything we wanted and more. From that point on, I just let Claudia run with all the details. She created such beautiful invitations for us, she provided the linens and just exceeded with all the details. Love this company and we love Claudia! We hired Claudia for our wedding and have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She helped us from beginning to end, from finding our church, ballroom to helping me pick out my wedding dress. The amount of detail she puts into planning is just impressive and seriously don't know how I could have have pulled our wedding off without her help.

On the day of the wedding, Claudia and her team were so attentive and always so calm. If there were ever any problems or issues, my husband or I never knew about it. Thank you so much for everything!

I had the most wonderful experience when hiring Claudia with A Day to Remember. Planning a wedding from a different city can pose many problems, so I knew hiring a planner was not just something I wanted, but something I needed! When interviewing with planners, we chose Claudia for her knowledge, experience and wonderful personality. She is a person that truly does go above and beyond. We spent many evenings communicating through emails or instant messenger and she always made herself available when I had questions. Coming down to Houston was not always an option, so having her to make the decisions for me was such a huge peace of mind for me.

Claudia was invaluable when it came to help bring my vision of our wedding into a reality, hiring the best vendors, that not only were in line with my budget, but in line with my husband's and my personality. She helped me in creating such a perfect day for us and my husband and I will forever be grateful.

For those brides who think hiring a planner is a waste of money, all I can say is that you can't put a price on peace of mind! Brides, please do yourself a favor and hire a wedding planner! I highly recommend Claudia, she was so wonderful!

Planning a wedding alone is stressful, and planning a wedding while working full-time was such a daunting thought. I told my then fiance that I really wanted to hire a wedding planner, even though that wasn't in our original budget. I'm so glad we did because Claudia became not just my planner, but my friend and confidant. I originally found Claudia at a wedding show hosted at The Corinthian. After talking to her there, meeting her team, I decided to meet with her one on one, bringing my then fiance. We hired Claudia then, and let me tell you, it was the best decision! She was with me every step of the way, from finding the right vendors to designing our wedding to reflect our personalities. It was absolutely perfect the moment we walked in the ballroom to see everything for the first time. The flowers were perfect, the cake amazing, the lighting. I could just go on, but WOW. Our guests still comment on how beautiful our wedding was. Claudia and her assistants did an amazing job and my husband and I will be forever grateful!

Claudia was probably one of the most easy-going people I know. I practically hired her over the phone, as a few years back she did the wedding of a friend of mine. At the time, I wasn't engaged, but noticed how flawless she kept the event. So when my time came, I wanted to make sure I had her for our day. We hired Claudia for the Day Of service only, as our wedding was pretty simple and I'm just too Type-A. I knew I didn't want to have to worry on my day, so Claudia came in and took over with such ease. Our day was perfect and if there were ever any issues, I knew absolutely nothing about it. As the mother of the bride, I am so thankful that we found Claudia at A Day To Remember. She handled the many details of my daughter’s wedding including the planning, floral arrangements and cakes as well as the day-of stationery. She was able to pinpoint my daughter's personality and taste to create an experience that captured exactly what my daughter envisioned for her wedding ceremony and reception. She coordinated the many vendors and prepared detailed itineraries and timelines that kept a very large bridal party well informed. She designed and produced ceremony and reception programs, seating charts and corresponding table number stands that beautifully coordinated my daughter's colors and theme. In fact, friends and family are still complimenting us on the level of detail that was displayed in stationery products and floral arrangements that tied to the theme. Claudia's knowledge, expertise and passion make her an invaluable resource for a bride and her mother. She is extremely organized, high energy and worked tirelessly (without sleep on a couple of occasions!) to ensure my daughter's dreams came true. She consistently made herself available via email, phone and personal meetings for the many, many questions that arise when planning such an important event. My Husband and I knew the minute we meet with Claudia from A Day to Remember we knew she had our best interest at heart when it came to our wedding planning.

Our wedding was such a magical and perfect night thanks to Claudia & her lovely assistants at A Day To Remember! Claudia's creativity really made our wedding completely unique to our personalities and very authentic. It was the best day of our lives thanks to Claudia and her awesome staff. Claudia is awesome. She really listens to your vision of what you want and helps you remain within your budget. She is very professional and fights for her clients always, even when vendor shopping. If you need additional items services/vendors, Claudia can either provide it herself for you or give you great referrals. I honestly really did not stress or worry on my wedding day like I thought I might and that was because Claudia hustled all day and night to make my dream wedding happen. We loved working with Claudia and her staff. They did such a beautiful job on the flowers! The cakes were so delicious, and everyone still keeps raving about them. Claudia was FANTASTIC! Words just can't express how wonderful she was to work with. I loooved my wedding cake and flowers. When you do a cake tasting with her, you get to take home your own 6 inch cakes, that was a major plus! And I got the best price in town! The cake looked better than pic I took in to her and the flowers were exactly what I wanted. As a planner, Claudia was just ideal! I can go on forever on how wonderful this company is but I think you get my point--- I was extremely satisfied with the services provided and can't thank her enough for making my bid day go smoothly!

Claudia was the best ever! I really enjoyed working with her. I met with various florists and decided to go with her because she really understood what I wanted without showing her almost any pictures and she gave me the best price. I had a very small budget for flowers but she was able to work with me to get a lot. She made the most beautiful altar arrangements and centerpieces. They were very simple, just like I wanted them, but they were noticeable, everybody loved the centerpieces. Three days before the wedding my mom decided she wanted more flowers and Claudia was able to make it happen. Also, the person doing my cake couldnt get the kind of flowers I wanted and Claudia took care of that too. If it wasnt because the cake was included in my reception package I woud have gone with her for the cake as well. She really can do everything for you. I would definitely recommend her.

This was by far our favorite vendor. They offered more bang for their buck, mainly because they offer so much. We originally hired them for wedding planning services and they even encouraged we see other vendors for floral and cake services. In the end, we used them as well, because of their level of quality, service and price.

They did a fabulous job and in the end developed a friendship. I highly recommend them.

A Day To Remember was recommended to me by a friend who had interned with them. I knew this was going to be a great recommendation the moment I sat down with Claudia for our first meeting. She immediately picked up on my preferences and style within minutes of talking to one another. Working with A Day To Remember was wonderful for me since I have a demanding full time job while my fiance was often out of town. We did not have the time to shop around for vendors, and because of that we relied on Claudia's suggestions. I don't think there was a single vendor we didn't immediately fall in love with! That truly saved us so much time and effort, and on the day of, we couldn't have been more pleased with the results. It's been three months since our wedding, and we are still hearing from friends and family how beautiful our wedding and reception were, and how much fun they had. I owe it all to Claudia's professionalism and expertise , and the quality of vendors she had in her arsenal. I was always very impressed with how much she knew about the sites and vendors from the area, and the great relationships she had with each of them. From my overall experience, I would highly recommend this team and will gladly continue to meet up with Claudia at our coffee and lunch spots!

When I first met with Claudia, I expected to chat about our cake. Instead, I walked away feeling like every single little last minute detail was taken care of. She took my very vague vision for our cake and turned it into something simply stunning, and something no one had ever seen before, complete with peacock feathers! It was unbelievable! I loved working with Claudia!! She was fun, easy to talk to, and extremely creative. I had an idea of what kind of a cake I wanted, and she was able to create it and even helped me customize it further! I love the way it turned out, and so many people ooh-ed and ahhh-ed over it at the reception. Not to mention the fact that it was actually delicious! Who ever heard of a delicious wedding cake? When we first met with Claudia we had an instant connection with her. We hired her for our cake and flower services. As time passed in the planning stages, we ran into a major hiccup with our first 'reception' venue. We were sure happy that Claudia was available to provide her coordinating services to us at the dire time and even worked with us budget wise. We don't know what we would have done without her advice or referrals for our 'legal' woes. For anyone out there who is looking for a vendor that provides many services under one roof, we would highy recommend Day to Remember. Our wedding day went off with only one minor, minor problem and Claudia rectified it to the best of her ability, other than that it was out of her control. Happily ever Hagens!

A day to Remember team was absolutely AMAZING! They made my wedding day a carefree, easy-going day to where I didn't need to stress about anything. I felt that I could be open and honest with what I wanted and they followed through. I have a big problem with "letting go" and relinquishing control, but I felt conformable that Claudia and her team would take care of everything. Not only did they set everything into play, but they were sure to check on me emotionally throughout the entire time planning, up to the day after my wedding. Claudia and I still talk and will always be in my corner!

Claudia and Anaise were amazing! There were a lot of moving parts on my wedding day and Claudia and Anaise did such a phenomenal job of executing all of them and making my special day unforgettable. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and my friends and family are still telling me how beautiful they thought it was even months later. During the planning stages of my wedding, I figured I would need someone for the day of. First of all I must say that our wedding was AMAZING!!!! I worked with Claudia for a little over a year planning our wedding and I had an exceptional experience. Claudia was very attentive and thorough in our first meeting and she was very focused and passionate about giving us the wedding that we invisioned. She got to know our likes and dislikes very well, which made it very easy when we had to decide on vendors like reception location, photographers, florist, DJ and cake designers. Claudia has an excellent network of contacts within the bridal industry, which was all willing to eagerly work with her. I must say all of my vendors Claudia referred was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Claudia attends all vendor meetings and she is very detailed and organized when assisting in your budget and overall planning. Claudia is always positive and has a great attitude and never seem overwhelmed and stressed, which was vey important and reassuring to me and should be to every bride. Originally, she was only going to provide bakery services as she is the preferred vendor for our reception venue. However, when my mom and I met with her, we fell in love. She convinced us to use her 'day of' coordinator services which proved to be worth every penny. We also decided to use her as our florist, as well, since it was so convenient to have everything in one place. Then my mom used her stationary services near the end, for the programs and table stationary, etc.

Everything was great! The cakes were gorgeous and tasty. The flowers were absolutely perfect and breath-taking. The stationary was uniquely designed for our wedding theme and colors and they were great! After all the meetings we had, Claudia took our wedding vision and turned it into reality. A perfect reality. It was the best day of my life!

The best thing that Claudia did for me (and, most of all, my mother) was take an enormous weight off our shoulders...not only in the planning process, but more importantly, on the wedding day. Not only was everything perfectly beautiful, but the event ran SO smoothly because of her planning and coordination efforts. If anything went wrong, I have no clue! If it weren't for Claudia, we wouldn't have been able to have such a successful event. That's the truth.
I'd recommend her to anyone of my friends or family members planning a wedding. She's got great connections in the industry, she's knowledgeable and she's such a pleasure to work with.

Claudia handled my flowers for my wedding and did the day of coordinating. My flowers were amazing and more than I could have dreamed of. My maid of honor bouquets were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. She works hard to make sure that your day goes exactly as planned. There was a typhoon the day of my wedding and I still had a beautiful, magical outdoor reception.

We loved Claudia! She is by far one of the most easy going people I know! We hired her for our wedding and she was such a great help from beginning to end. Claudia is super friendly, understanding, and flexible. If you're planning a military wedding, this is your girl!
Upon meeting her, I knew a great friendship would develop. My husband and I instantly knew she was the planner for us! She instantly connected with us and learned our personalities so well, to the point that she would surprise me sometimes. She definitely knows what she's doing in the world of weddings and events and we never came across a problem that she couldn't quickly find a solution to. Just like any other wedding, it was super stressful for us, but Claudia handled it like a pro and took control of everything. She wasn't just a great wedding planner, but also a great listener, and counselor.
I met her assistant, Anaise, the day of our wedding, and she is such a sweetheart! Loved her too! She was also a great help that day! Thanks Claudia and Anaise! You definitely made our wedding a Day To Remember!

Claudia was an amazing person to work with. She's sweet, professional, and awesome to work with. She's at her best on your special day. Be sure to communicate all the little details you want worked out and you will definitely get what you asked for.

I had a traditional Vietnamese wedding and she knew my crazy timeline for the day and it just made it that much easier for me to discuss what all needs to be accomplished. Props to her because so many people walked up to us and asked 'what do i do...' and we would tell them 'go see Claudia' Ha! that was beyond crazy for me, yet I did not hear one single compliant from her. She was there for us from beginning to end and tripple checked with us if the event was over and that she was no longer needed 30 mins after all music was shut down and all items were packed up. Like I said, she is just too good not to have for your special day.

Claudia (A Day to Remember) is simply amazing! We initially had hired her to do the cake, flowers, and d�cor. Three months before the wedding, we found out that our wedding venue had double booked us. We then instantly hired Claudia to coordinate the wedding. She did an amazing job getting us a new place and everything else from there on. We really appreciated the fact that she stuck to our budget and actually got us a great deal on the new venue site (of which originally was out of our price range). We could not have been any more happier with how the wedding turned out.

Claudia was responsible for my flowers at my April 13, 2013 wedding. I ordered 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 5 groomsmen boutonnieres, 1 bridal bouquet, 1 groom boutonniere, and several corsages and boutonnieres for the parents and grandparents.

The most infuriating thing was how late Claudia was delivering my flowers day of. She was supposed to arrive between 3 and 4, with my ceremony starting at 5:00. She arrived at 4:45, after all of our pictures had been taken and we were heading inside the chapel to start down the aisle. I was furious.

My MOH's bouquet broke before we even walked down. The girl's bouquets were not what I thought they would be, but they were nice enough. My bouquet wasn't what I had in mind, but in the pictures, it's turned out well enough.

It took several weeks to get email responses from her and I never knew if I would have a toss bouquet or not until my BFF told me that it was put on the cake table.

She was very affordable and I liked her personally, but running that close to the wire on my wedding day put me into bridezilla mode.

I met with 3 different wedding planners and chose Claudia (and her assitant who I never saw again) because I felt like we clicked right away. Things went downhill from there. I felt it really hard to get in touch with Claudia, or get her to respond to me. I even had to have a conversation with her in December about it, to which she told me she was really busy and was in the process of hiring other people to help. I'm still not sure who else works there, if anyone. Claudia was very helpful in setting up vendor meetings so I did not have to waste my time researching vendors. She was helpful on the day of our wedding, but everything leading up to the big day was stressful because she would take so long to get back to me on things. Also, at my wedding reception, she sat down and ate my cake in front of our guests, which I thought was extrememly unprofessional. I would not recommend A Day to Remember.

Horrible, Steer cleer!

For all those that are reading this review, please reflect on why you want to hire a wedding planner. My reasons were to alleviate the stress of planning a big, intricate Indian wedding and having someone to help me stay within the budget, yet still make my events beautiful and fun!

Claudia not only made it harder for my family and I to budget our expenses, but every time she promised that she would deliver a quote for a reasonable price based on what was previously discussed, she failed to deliver. Before I signed with her, she asked me about our budget. She knew that my parents only had a certain amount to spend on the wedding. But time and time again, she would become upset with us when we questioned the quotes from vendors because they were significantly over the budget.

Claudia made these events significantly more stressful for me and my family. My cousin (who helped me because I was so stressed dealing with Claudia) had to keep constant tabs on her and even had to send her the notes she took because Claudia did not have the correct information.

Her favorite things to say were "I have a vision" and "don't make me look bad with decor/don't half ass decor" BUT this is OUR money that SHE Is spending. She had zero respect for our budget and zero respect for us.

She gave my family constant attitude. She was disrespectful and her jokes were inappropriate. She stole the complete wedding experience from my close family members.

She made my family do so much work on the day of my events. She did not take care of anything and on top of that, I paid for a team to be there on wedding AND reception and she only brought one other assistant at reception. She even said that she did not bring an assistant with her at the wedding.

Couple of examples:

1. We would request an invoice for a vendor and she would give us the wrong invoice. We would then have to go back and forth to get the correct numbers

2. She was supposed to coordinate the sangeet (the event before wedding) but instead of being at the venue to receive items for the bar (the delivery timings were given in advance), she left the venue for the whole window of delivery. We had to scramble to find a family member to be present at the venue instead to accept the delivery.

3. She did not coordinate timeline meetings with the DJ. The DJ requested US for a timeline meeting and then Claudia acted like she put it together

4. She sent us the wrong invoice and we wired a GREAT amount of money to that invoice. She did not apologize for sending the wrong invoice, nor did she fight for us to get our money back.

If budget, attitude, and ease of wedding planning is important to you- look elsewhere!

**She not only did not do certain very important aspects of her job, but made excuses instead of owning up her to mistakes, which I would have preferred. At the end of the day, she is not to be trusted with one of the most important days of your life.

Claudia from A Day to Remember made my then fianc� a Rubik Cube cake for his birthday. It was an awesome cake; I wish I could say the same for my WEDDING cake! The cake was made very sloppy and it looked like it had been knocked around in its box. The fondant ribbon around the three tiers of the cake were all DIFFERENT shades of red and weren't on straight. As if that was not enough the groom's cake was not the flavor that we asked and paid for!
After the wedding I called and told her about it, she asked to see pictures of the cake; she said if they were not up to par she'd refund me some money. I sent her the pictures she has never replied nor did she ever return my calls. I had two bridal showers; both of those cakes were by far superior to my actual wedding cake. Both of my bridal shower cakes were made by friends that make cakes as a hobby not a LIVING! A Day to Remember does make nice cakes depending on the day- but do you want to take that chance on your wedding cake?

Warning all brides-to-be! Claudia de Velasco is a FRAUD! She is currently being sued by another bride because she took the couple's venue deposit money and did not give it to the venue. I have been forced to take legal action myself because she took my deposit (half of her fee for full service wedding planning) and ony provided lies, excuses, and delays. Her contract states the deposit is absolutely non refundable, but there is NO clause that protects you if SHE breaches the contract. A lesson I learned after the fact. When I expressed my unhappiness to Claudia about all of the extremely unprofessional behavior, she disappeared! And did not refund my money even though she did not provide the services that reside in the contract. Now, I saw a negative review from another bride where something similar happened, but A Day to Remember's overall ratings look very good so I hired them. DON'T BE FOOLED! If there is a slight chance that this might happen to you, why would you take it? Planning your wedding is supposed to be fun, and this company made it extremely stressful and expensive and just plain saddening. I cried, lost money that was not in the budget to begin with, missed out on time with my visiting out-of-town family to make up for her mistakes, etc. etc. Unfortunately, this website allows the vendor to comment on these rewiews, and Claudia is extremely good at lying, so please, just be smart and cautious about this company and trust that I am telling the truth!

Any time a business specializes in more than one service, quality is affected which was the case in my experience with A Day to Remember. I originally booked them to handle the flowers and cake for my wedding. Prior to receiving my deposit, Claudia was very responsive and delivered quality customer service. However, after she received my deposit I didn?t receive any customer service from her. I would call and ask for updated balance sheets - never received them. I wanted to make changes to my order (changes that would have increased the overall cost of my order) but I still never heard from her. I tried contacting her for these things for two months. When I did finally hear from her she explained that she had been very busy, and that I would hear receive the information I was requesting by the end of the week. Yet the week came and went and still nothing. I gave her many opportunities to provide me with some type of customer service, but when she did not turn in the vendor agreement for the facility that I was having my wedding at that was the last straw. I decided to dissolve our vendor relationship because if I couldn't communicate with her and couldn?t trust her to turn in the agreement, how could I be sure she would show up and/or do what I was requesting on my wedding day (especially since without the vendor agreement she would not be able to work at the facility on my wedding day). I also requested my deposit back; since she was the reason I no longer wanted to work with her. Claudia informed me that even though she acknowledged her role or lack there of she was still entitled to keep my deposit. It amazes me that in this day and age a vendor would believe that it ok to treat a customer any kind of way and still expect to be paid. So please beware and know that this is the type of vendor you are working with. After more research I found that her Better Business Bureau rating is an F. On top of that this whole experience made planning my wedding more stressful than it should have been. The vendors I replaced her with were very responsive before and after the deposit. So please be careful, every bride needs less stress during this time so choose your vendors wisely.
