    The best money I spent on our wedding

    I'll admit, I was super skeptical about hiring a wedding planner. It wasn't the cost, it was more a question of if we really needed a wedding coordinator for a wedding that was less than 100 people. Spoiler: we absolutely did.

    We got married in May 2020 but pushed our wedding reception twice due to covid. We worked with Tanisha prior to our reception and on the day of we worked with Tanisha and Desiree. They were flawless.

    Our reception was in our backyard so, as I'm sure you can imagine, it isn't easy to just trust a stranger with responsibility of your house while you're off getting pictures taken. I never had any reservations about Tanisha. They handled the schedule, kept everything on track and made sure all of our guests with food needs received the proper food. I'm beyond happy with how it all turned out.

    Best Hiring Decision We Made!

    Hiring Mimi was one of the best decisions we made. She answered all of my 1000s of questions with patience and kindness. She was also great with my family during our rehearsal - we have lots of big personalities and she managed to lead us through a productive rehearsal! Going into our day we felt relaxed knowing Mimi was by our side the whole day - she kept all of the trains moving on time and was able to make up time when a couple of unexpected delays got us behind schedule (*she handled the unexpected moments incredibly well). If you're looking for a day of coordinator, don't think twice and hire one so you can enjoy the day. If you're looking for a day-of-coordinator who is detailed, understanding, calm, professional, amazingly well priced and will take care of all of your personal items and details with the same care you would - hire Mimi!

    Exactly what we needed!

    I planned a relatively small, low-key wedding (70 guests) but wanted to make sure I didn't forget anything and that the day went smoothly. We worked with Amanda at A Bride's BFF and definitely accomplished that goal! Amanda worked with us a month out to make sure we had thought of everything (including little things like a card box which I definitely needed and totally would have forgotten). Day of, she also made sure everything ended up at the venue, looked perfect, and that we stayed on schedule. We had a fabulous day and could not have done it without her!

    Mimi is amazing!

    Mimi and the whole Brides BFF team was simply outstanding!! Mimi helped our day run smooth, trouble-shot unexpected issues, and was a consistent source of calm and professionalism. We were so lucky to have her, and literally could not have imagined our day running anywhere near as smooth without her. She is very fairly priced, and totally worth every penny. If you are on the fence about having a coordinator like we were, then Mimi is the perfect choice for you!

    Truly a bride’s BFF!

    Mimi was a blessing!! I tend to be very hands on with things that I do. Mimi allowed me to relax in on my wedding day and really the month before the wedding. She managed all the vendors, kept me in loop and helped with all the day of details and setup. She was very personable and friendly but also professional. Her timeline was a lifesaver for me. I could not have had such a wonderful wedding without her. If you are reading this review, you have come to the right place. Contact Mimi and her team to help you. Who doesn’t need another bff?

    I didn’t even have to think about the details on my wedding day

    As we got close to our wedding day, we realized that managing all the day-of details and the timeline was causing a lot of stress. We brought Nageen from A Bride’s BFF in to help us manage our vendors and decor details and she was amazing! I didn’t even have to think about arranging last minute details with the vendors and Nageen and Mimi perfectly executed my vision for the day.

    Allowed me to relax and enjoy my day!

    I hired Brides Bff as a month of coordinator and they took so much stress off my plate leading up to the wedding. The wedding day all went off without a hitch and having Mimi there allowed my husband and I to relax and just enjoy our day with the confidence that everything was being handled. They were also super flexible with all my last minute curve balls (changes due to COVID, our rehearsal location changing last minute, etc.). They were also the best priced service I found. I would absolutely recommend them!

    Great Experience and Peace of Mind!

    Absolutely would recommend their 30-day out/day of services. From the first phone call Mimi put my mind at ease that all details would be taken care of, and when Nageen stepped in 30 days I couldn’t have felt more thankful for their services. We had to replan our wedding entirely due to COVID with a new date, new vendors and venue, and Nageen helped us roll with the punches and get a game plan together for the big day. Especially in the week before the wedding, knowing that she was confirming every detail with our vendors was a huge relief and allowed me to enjoy time with family in town. She attended the rehearsal and took care of all the cues for walking, music, etc. The day-of she made sure everything was set before guests arrived and checked in throughout the evening to make sure we were ready for the next thing. I had some anxious nerves during dinner and she couldn’t have made me feel more at ease and helped us Seamlessly rearrange the dances/toasts in the timeline so I could take a breather outside. At the end of the night she helped package up all our vases of flowers from the tables and made sure everything was set with the vendors so we didn’t have to go back for anything the next day. Everything was better than I could have expected and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for her work!

    Great interview with a professional company!

    This review is for the interview process. A friend recommended A Bride's BFF after having a great experience with them at her wedding, and I was very impressed with our initial conversations. I was very impressed with Mimi's promptness, clarity, and thoroughness in our initial conversations, and her rates were very reasonable. While I chose to go with a vendor who knew my venue more intimately, I have no doubt that any bride would be in great hands with A Bride's BFF!

    They really are a bride’s BFF!

    We had the best experience with A Bride’s BFF! We had Kelly as our wedding coordinator and she was the most professional, organized, caring, skilled and attentive wedding coordinator we could have ever asked for! She kept constant communication with my fiancé and I, always made us feel valued and important, and listened to any concerns we had throughout our wedding process. She communicated so well with the vendors and did a superb job when it came to looking over our vendor contracts and letting us know when we oversaw something. I called her our fairy godmother several times, as she literally made our wedding fairytale perfect! We seriously would have not been able to pull this wedding off without Kelly! A Bride’s BFF, thank you so much for having Kelly as our wedding coordinator. She is exactly the type of person every bride and groom needs by their side! Future couples, look no further...     Allowed two type-A people relax on their wedding day

    We are so grateful that we hired Kelly and A Bride's BFF team for our wedding. The month-of we worked with Kelly and Mimi, the owner surprised us as Kelly's assistant the day of. Kelly's attention to detail, kindness and appropriate assertiveness with our vendors was much appreciated and made for a seamless and beautiful event. My partner and I are both type-A people and were truly relaxed the day of our wedding because we were confident in Kelly's support!

    So Grateful!!

    Word’s cannot express our gratitude for Nageen, our Month of Coordinator. From the moment we met Nageen, we knew we were in good hands. Her calm nature, attention to detail and positive demeanor put us at ease. She was there at any time of the day/night to answer questions, make notes, communicate with vendors, and/or lend a hand. Because of Nageen, our wedding was flawless. We stayed on schedule the whole night, achieved every goal we set, and were able to focus on our guests and the party! I can’t give her a more glowing recommendation!!!!

    Amazing. They really live up to their name!

    I can't believe how much attention to detail and care I received from A Bride's BFF. I hired a coordinator for the day of and she and her helper were so amazing. The coordinator I was assigned is Kelly Jarvis. Even after the wedding, I had some guests/bridesmaids point out how attentive and kind/patient Kelly was the entire time.
    Our ceremony started late, and instead of leaving guests hanging, Kelly made sure they knew what was going on and checked up on me at the bridal suite to make sure I was okay which I really appreciated. There were some other things that just did not go right at the wedding due to weather or other unavoidable circumstances, but guests didn't even notice because Kelly kept everything going smoothly.
    I'm not the type of person that goes around just settling for less and leaving 5 star reviews for services that were sub par, so when I say this service was 5/5, I really mean that it was 5/5.
    Thank you so much again for all of your hard work and keeping things positive on my big day!

    All you need in for month-of coordinator

    Having a day-of coordinator was a must for us, and Bride's BFF absolutely delivered. We could tell it was a well-run, professional and detail-oriented operation from our initial conversations with Mimi. Desiree was our month-of coordinator, assisted by Nageen on the day, and they were fabulous. Desiree has a very calm and unflappable presence, along with being experienced, responsive and organized. I am used to being on the ground level with running events and am also pretty type-A but I was honestly able to totally relax and enjoy the day without stressing, and from my perspective, everything went perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend having a coordinator for the day, and no need to look further than A Bride's BFF!

    She is TRULY a bride's Best Friend!!

    I can't even find the words to express how happy I am to have stumbled upon A Bride's BFF during a random, online search a few months before my wedding. Mimi was a complete GODSEND. Her professionalism is unsurpassed, and her responsiveness truly borders on the ridiculous (it's as if she never sleeps or takes a break!). I hired her about 8 months prior to our wedding as I quickly realized that I had no idea where to even start planning. She not only helped us to stay on top of our timeline and budget, she helped me to find and select almost every vendor, and helped to make my dreams for a unique, relaxed, fun, bohemian, and stylish wedding (yes - I wanted ALL those things, and had NO IDEA how to achieve them) come to life. It was like having a best friend to brainstorm with - one who has VAST experience and the patience of a priest. My husband and I have spent the past 3 weeks reliving every moment of our wedding, and our friends and family are still talking about it - saying that it's one of the most unique and fun weddings they've ever been to. So I thank Mimi for TRULY being my BFF, and for supporting me in all that I wanted and all that I did. It took a VILLAGE, and I'm so glad that she was a main part of our circle. I could NOT recommend her more highly.

    Helped make our day a success!

    It was a pleasure working with Kelly Jarvis and A Bride's BFF as our month of coordinator. She was super organized and made sure we had all the details down before the big day, so we could actually be in the moment and enjoy the day. We got many comments about how smoothly the whole day went! Really appreciated that she also made sure we had time to eat during the reception :)

    Amanda helped make our wedding perfect!

    I am so glad that I chose A Bride's BFF for month-of coordination and worked with Amanda as our coordinator. I was very impressed with Amanda from the start. Prior to our first meeting with her at our venue, I had written her an email that said "please don't let me forget to ask you xyz." Then, when we met with her, she followed up about xyz. My husband and I had a very specific vision for our wedding - the way we wanted things to look, feel, taste, sound -- and Amanda helped us make that vision a reality. We also had a bunch of last minute changes and fire-drills in the week leading up to the wedding, and Amanda was very responsive and took care of everything. I'm type-A, but I truly trusted Amanda and was able to hand over to her leading up to the wedding, throughout the wedding day, and even after so my husband and I could enjoy our day. Amanda delivered, and then some!

    Completely Flawless

    As a bride that works in the industry I wanted to ensure that I was able to focus on being a BRIDE and not a Director of Catering for *insert your favorite hotel here*. Mimi allowed me just that. I was referred to Mimi by my photographer about 6 months prior to my wedding date and while I thought I would have been able to do it all myself, knew exactly what I was doing, but also knew I was going to be a bit high maintenance, Mimi jumped in and handled everything gracefully. Not a detail was missed, a vendor not contacted and even a family member that did not feel welcomed by Mimi. As mentioned, being in the industry our standards tend to be a bit higher because we think we can do it ourselves. Mimi far surpassed any expectations I had and I would recommend her to any one of the future couples I have the pleasure of servicing their wedding.

    Hiring Mimi as our day of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

    For six months, my fiancé and I worked really hard on putting together the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding had many details and surprises, two venues, and lots of vendors involved. Even though we were very organized and hands on during the process, we still needed help and guidance on the days leading up to the wedding and the day of. Hiring Mimi as our day of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She helped us bring everything we had worked so hard on to life and kept the show going during the rehearsal and wedding day. On our wedding day, she had an assistant, Desiree, working with her, who was fantastic as well. From the moment, we met Mimi during our 30 day wedding walk through, we knew we made the right choice. Leading up to the wedding she helped us coordinate with all the vendors our timeline to make sure we were all on the same page and answered any last minute wedding questions and concerns we had. During the wedding day, she made sure we were on track, on time and stress free. We were able to enjoy our wedding day knowing that our day was in good hands. Mimi and her assistant, were super nice and patient, and very professional and detailed with everything. It was truly a pleasure working with Mimi, and we highly recommend her to all couples planning their wedding.

    My only regret is not hiring Mimi to do more

    I'll admit--I was skeptical. In fact, if I had not won a discount for her services, I probably would not have hired a Day-Of Coordinator. My post-wedding-hot-take is this: the DOC is a priceless secret weapon for your wedding day. A hundred things went wrong that I had no idea about, as they were all handled flawlessly by Mimi and her assistant. Minor reception issues, majorly difficult relatives--she handled it all. In fact, my only regret at this point is not hiring Mimi for her planning services. Leading up to the wedding, I can only imagine how much easier my life might have been with a little professional help along the way.

    Best purchase we made

    Mimi was our day of coordinator and it was honestly the best money we spent out of everything at our wedding. From the moment I signed the contract I felt a weight off my shoulders. On our walk through she asked questions I never would have even thought of, and planned out our day minute-by-minute. On the day of, she not only ran the show, she set up all of our centerpieces and decor and at the end of the night put it all back in boxes and made sure it got back to us. I could not believe how much work she did for us for the price she charged - definitely a great value and worth every penny. If I could go back, I would have had her plan our entire wedding!

    We’re so happy to have worked with A Bride’s BFF. Our Day-Of Coordinator was Kelly, and she was everything we needed for a successful wedding day, and more. Kelly was integral in making our day smooth, stress-free, and amazing. Starting with the wedding walk-through a month before the wedding, she asked all the right questions and politely--but firmly :)-- took over so that I was required to worry less and let go of control. On the wedding day she decorated our venue perfectly, herded our bridal party (particularly some rowdy groomsmen) with patience and ease, and made sure that my husband and I were well attended to. Through the end of the night, she worked closely with all our vendors--helping to clean up the space and keep the party going until the very last song. I am confident in recommending A Bride’s BFF and Kelly to any bride looking to make her wedding day smooth and stress-free.

    Mimi was the day-of coordinator for our wedding in August and she couldn’t have done a better job making sure the entire wedding weekend ran smoothly!

    One month prior to our wedding, we met with her at our venue walk-thru to discuss details and logistics. From that moment forward, I probably emailed her every other day with new details, visions, or requests - she was very responsive and organized. I immediately felt less stressed leading up to the big day. She created a detailed timeline as well as took over communication and confirmed timing logistics with our vendors. She offered advice and guidance when needed, which we appreciated!

    During rehearsal, she walked everyone through what the ceremony and reception would be like and practiced in detail with us. It was reassuring to know we were well prepared and would be in good hands on the wedding day!

    On the day of, we had a couple of vendor issues and Mimi and her assistant handled everything very professionally - we didn’t even know about nor need to get involved which I’m thankful for - we just enjoyed the evening and they handled all of it!

    We had such a positive experience working with Mimi at a Bride’s BFF and would highly recommend her to any bride and groom looking for stress-free planning and an unforgettable wedding day!

    I had the pleasure of having Desirée Walker as my day of coordinator and I have to say, she far exceeded my expectations! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but immediately upon meeting her I was put at ease and knew that she would take great care of us on our special day. She was organized, down to earth and very easy to work with. She allowed me to go along with my vision while sharing tips along the way. She was on top of everything and even managed to handle my crazy family! She even handled a situation with our photo booth company that I would have otherwise not been made aware of and managed to get us a complimentary coffee table book of our pictures as compensation. Thanks Desirée! You were truly a pleasure to work with!!!!

    I couldn’t be happier or more impressed with Kelly and a brides BFF. From the day that Kelly was assigned to our wedding she went above and beyond to make the day smooth and easy. Her attention to detail and ensuring the day went as I planned was amazing. And for the things I didn’t know to plan, her help and suggestions were great! A small example of how devoted she was to my day - the base of my very expensive cake topper kept breaking the day before the wedding. I had a back up so I wasn’t panicked, but she insisted on bringing it home after the rehearsal dinner and putting to back together to ensure I had my first choice topper!

    Kelly from a Bride's BFF was a godsend. I knew she was worth every penny the at our first meeting. Her calm, peaceful demeanor, attention to detail, attentiveness, and warmth were not only a joy in and of themselves, but they made my wedding day so peaceful, beautiful, and joyful. It was such a relief to know that the details were in her hands, and her assistant was also an excellent addition. I would happily recommend a Bride's BFF to any brides to be out there.

    Mimi was fabulous to work with! We used her as a day-of coordinator, but she was so helpful throughout the last month of our planning - from the final walk through, to all the last minute details, and on our wedding day. She helped us organize our thoughts and ideas into documents and spreadsheets that would help her and all of the vendors make our day run smoothly. Mimi was friendly, responsive, and helpful during the whole process. Even though our venue had an awesome team to help organize our day, we wouldn't have been able to have everything run so perfectly without Mimi's help. My parents were also so grateful that Mimi and her assistant had all of the decorations ready at the end of the night and helped them pack it all into the car. It was a wonderful experience working with Mimi and her team!

    Hiring Kelly as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made during the whole planning process. She was like an angel who swooped in the month before our wedding and brought a sense of order and calm to a very hectic and overwhelming process.

    Kelly's hard work, dedication, attention to detail and amazing thoughtfulness really allowed us to enjoy our wedding day. She thought of every detail and I really felt like I had a partner in the planning process who cared about the wedding as much as we did.

    Finally, Kelly is a pro at navigating stressful situations with calm competence and perfect poise. She is truly the reason our wedding went off without a hitch and the reason we were able to have so much fun on our wedding day without worrying about a thing. I can't recommend her enough!

    Mimi (& her assistant Kristen) were fantastic! Mimi came highly recommended to me by a friend and in turn, I would highly recommend her as well! I hired A Bride's BFF for "day-of" coordination to ensure my big day went smoothly. Mimi did just that and more! I wouldn't have changed a thing. She was helpful, responsive, flexible and in general, wonderful to work with. If there were any fires that came up, I was (and still am) none the wiser. She was worth every penny!

    We can't say enough good things about Mimi & A Bride's BFF. We got the partial planning package (which was extremely reasonably priced) at the point where we had only booked our venue and caterer. From that point forward Mimi helped us with recommending vendors, planning details, doing some research and correspondence for us, giving advice and answering even our most nuanced questions, and whatever else we needed. I should also stress that we were planning our wedding from across the country, and her punctuality with responding to emails and ability to make sure we were on track were wonderful and critical to pulling off our wedding. We also spoke on the phone once a month to go over everything and once a week or so in the last month.

    The wedding itself went great, Mimi thought of every detail and coordinating everything with us and the vendors, which we thought was pretty amazing considering we had only met her in person twice before and we had not seen many of our vendors/decor ideas at all prior to the wedding. The highlight was how she went above and beyond with our chuppah - we had a very unwieldy "kit" of birch branches which we somehow had to pull off assembling in under an hour at the venue; she came to our house the week before to see it and get all of the details of how to construct it and coordinate a team of vendors and relatives to pull it off smoothly. it was a pretty big hassle and technically not even part of her job description!

    We would recommend Mimi to anyone! We only wish we booked her earlier for the full planning package! Thanks Mimi for everything you did!

    An absolutely amazing experience. I can tell you from experience that not all wedding vendors are the same... Mimi is a must! She is so responsive and organized and was very helpful in corresponding with all the vendors as needed.     A Bride's BFF provided day-of coordination for our October 2017 wedding and we couldn't be more pleased with the service that both Mimi and Carolyn provided. From the very beginning, Mimi was very responsive to our questions before we signed a contract with them. Then, about 6 weeks prior to our wedding day, Carolyn stepped in and helped guide us through the small timeline details and made sure that we always stayed on schedule during the final planning stages as well as on wedding day. Carolyn even helped calm our nerves on wedding day when we encountered an issue by assuring us that she and our other vendors would manage and work around anything that may come up. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we truly cannot imagine it without Carolyn's help. We strongly recommend A Bride's BFF!

    Kelly Jarvis worked with us to insure that the wedding ceremony and reception were flawless. Her guidance meant that I could relax for the rehearsal, the ceremony, and the reception. In short, I could enjoy my daughter's wedding without having to worry about anything because i knew Kelly was in charge. That meant so much. Whether placing all those escort cards, checking over the cocktail and dining areas, shepherding our guests, the bridal party, cueing the organist, greeting our guests at the reception, placing the favors, and handling all the items that remained after the reception was over, Kelly was patient, kind, smiling, and confident. She was a joy to work with and the reason I could truly relax and enjoy the day.

    Working with A Bride's BFF was a great decision! Mimi set us up with Carolyn (along with two assistants) for our big day. Carolyn was absolutely amazing. She was able to promptly answer all of the questions that my mom and I asked her throughout the planning process. The wedding day itself went very smoothly as well. I know without her, I would have been stressed out constantly-- about whether my other vendors were set up, where my ceremony items were, and whether all the groomspeople would be ready on time.     I am a very careful person when it comes to planning big events, double- and triple -checking everything to make sure that it will go well. I was planning a very large wedding for my daughter, and I really was concerned about how I was going to be able to enjoy the ceremony and the reception. A friend of mine used a Day of Coordinator and when she explained the concept to me, I realized that was exactly what I needed. I have a hard time trusting someone else with such important details, but after my husband, bride, groom, and I all met with the owner, Mimi, I was convinced that it would work. Although Mimi was not available for my daughter's wedding (I had waited to long to decide to book a DOC before I even contacted her), she put us in touch with one of her coordinators, Carolyn. Mimi determined that it would be helpful for us to hire Carolyn and two assistants, given the size of the wedding (174 guests). Carolyn was wonderful. Although she (technically) was not scheduled to work directly with me until a month prior to the wedding, she took the time to help me with some very pressing questions beforehand, involving figuring out timelines for the whole day (including hair and make-up). She was easy to talk to, knowledgeable, very receptive to questions or tweaks, and responded promptly. She checked in twice with each of the vendors before the wedding. Carolyn also helped us during the wedding rehearsal and made sure that it worked and that everyone knew what they were going to do. I really felt like we were in good hands, especially during the wedding reception. If there were problems or issues during the reception, she handled them like a pro, because I did not know about them. Carolyn and A Bride's BFF really helped me, and I was able to really enjoy my daughter's big day!

    I booked A Brides Bff pretty early in my planning process because I just had a feeling it was going to be well worth it and it absolutely was. Even though we only signed up for a day of planner - Kelly was available for us 30 days out which made all the difference in the world. We were assigned Kelly as my day of coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. She knew all the answers to my questions and also gave me really really helpful pointers to make the process easier! Kelly made sure all my changes happened.. even my last minute ones!! She was right by my side and made sure everything happened as planned. We wouldn't have gotten through it all, so stress free, with out Kelly and A Brides BFF!!!

    We just got married a little over a month ago and one of the things that my wife and I still talk about is how great our Day of Coordinator was. We had a great time working with Mimi from A Bride's BFF. From the weeks leading up to our wedding and then on the day of the wedding Mimi was fantastic. She was available whenever we needed her and had questions. Our wedding required a lot of extra work because the venue we chose required a lot of DIY work for decorating and more! Mimi was able to handle all of the extra set up/delivery and take-down of all of the many many decorating items that my wife made for our wedding! Whether it was hanging string-lights, garlands, placing name cards, setting up a chuppah, or lining the wedding aisles with Ball jars filled with colorful yarn Mimi and her team had no problems at all being able to follow through on all the tasks. I am extremely glad that we had your services throughout our wedding. Without your help our wedding would not have gone as smoothly as it did!

    This review is a little late since our wedding was in July, but I say it’s better late than never! Mimi helped us out so much over the course of the 9 months we spent planning our wedding with her. We don’t know how we could have put on such an energetic and fun party without her. We had already picked our date and found a venue by the time we hired her, so Mimi helped us out with all the other details, from finding us a photographer, florist, DJ, limo, etc. She worked seamlessly with our venue coordinator to make sure all the details that we wanted were in place and ready to go for the wedding day, and we are so thankful that she was our day-of coordinator, making sure the most important day of our lives went according to plan. She made sure the venue was set up exactly how we wanted it to be and helped us pack up at the end of the day. Almost everything went as planned – the only main issue that we had was with the limo company, but Mimi was very professional and was able to get us a 15% refund, which was very much appreciated. Mimi also helped us stay on track with all of our major planning items such as sending save the dates and invitations and making sure we selected all our vendors in a timely fashion. Finally, it was great to have Mimi as our point person and representative so that we wouldn’t have to deal directly with most of our vendors. It was always good to have her on our side. We are so happy to have worked with Mimi and recommend her to everyone! Thank you Mimi and much success in the future!

    Kelly was our day of wedding coordinator, and she was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond with every aspect of our wedding. She was always so responsive, patient, and sweet. The weeks leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself were so much less stressful with Kelly's help. She thought of things that I would have completely overlooked! We had a problem with one of our vendors and had to cancel their services the day before the wedding. Kelly was extremely supportive and even offered to do the canceling for us. She helped us find a solution that ended up being better than it would've been with the previous vendor!

    Everyone had nothing but good things to say about Kelly. Thank you so much for helping turn our dream wedding into a reality! We are so happy that we went with A Bride's BFF!!!

    Mimi was fabuolous! We got engaged and decided to get married in 4.5 months. I was looking for a partial planner who could help me pull everything together and of course be there to coordinate day-of as well. Mimi was with me every step of the way - making sure I was aware of key deadlines (and what to start with first in our timeframe), helping me get quotes and vet them, following up on changes to quote, answering random etiquette questions, and more. She was a calm, guiding, trusted presence throughout the process which was exactly what I needed. She also was amazing day-of. When our caterer had staffing issue, she jumped right in and made sure everything got back on track. I trusted her judgement which was awesome because I wanted to delegate the worrying that day. Oh, and Mimi was awesome about making sure we kept on budget. She was very conscientious. Thanks for everything Mimi!

    I truly cannot say enough great things about Mimi! When our venue required a day-of coordinator, I thought we would be wasting our money. Turned out she was absolutely worth every penny - a steal for what she charges! Mimi started contacting all of our vendors a month out, coordinating everything behind the scenes without me having to be involved at all. It was such a relief in the chaos of the last few weeks to know that she was handling all of the details and that nothing would be forgotten. We had several of our other vendors compliment her and how she had been in touch with them in advance when they had never had a coordinator do this before. Finally, my Mom reached out to her about hiring a security guard about a week before. Mimi went ahead and found someone incredibly reliable without my Mom having to research whatsoever. I cannot express how at ease this made my entire family feel. If you need a coordinator, look no further - seriously! Our day could not have gone so perfectly if not for Mimi!

    Our wedding could not have gone more smoothly! Everyone kept telling me that something would go wrong on my wedding day, so I was prepared for a few hiccups. Everything went perfectly smooth, and I believe Mimi had everything to do with this outcome! Mimi was helpful and extremely responsive every step of the way. Among many other things, she set up all of our church decorations, made sure the vendors knew and followed the timeline, and made sure everything was running smoothly during the event, cueing the DJ and caterers, etc. Hiring Mimi and her team was more than worth the cost for the services received and the peace of mind I was able to have on my wedding day.     My assigned coordinator from A Bride's BFF was Diana and she was fantastic! Once we were a month out from the wedding, Diana started working on our wedding and she had a great eye for detail. She was quick to respond to emails and work through numerous drafts of our day of timeline. She clearly had a lot of experience and had great ideas on how to make this run smoother. I felt completely at ease leaving Diana running the show on the day of the wedding and she was such a huge help.     We spoke with about 5 different coordinators before asking Mimi to be our coordinator. She's no-nonsense and very organized. She truly seemed to care about delivering on-point execution of our wedding versus how great her blog or Instagram account was going to look. She remained organized and kept things under control throughout the whole process despite quite a few hiccups along the way!
    The Pride Parade happened to occur on our wedding day causing quite a few road blocks which messed up our original schedule for vendor arrival and deliveries. She knew exactly how the schedule should be changed to account for this instead of waiting me for me to figure how to handle the road blocks. The day-of, the road blocks prevented our photographers from getting there on time because of how much equipment they had. Mimi did not even hesitate and whipped up a plan to keep the guests happy and still have enough time to have all the elements we planned for by opening up the bar before the ceremony and then having a shorter cocktail hour after. Meanwhile I was upstairs hiding in the library and honestly had no idea this was all being handled so well if my fiancee wasn't giving me updates via text. Meaning, she wasn't bombarding me or my MOH with calls about what to do, she just took control of the situation. Every once in a while, her and her assistant would come upstairs and offer to get us drinks. After things got started, there was somehow enough time to do everything and she balanced efficiency with the timeline while still understanding the importance of weddings and being able to spend time with friends/family. Afterwards, my now husband and I agreed most of the other coordinators we interviewed would've probably crumbled under that situation. Instead, we had a wedding better than we would've ever imagined!

    When my daughter and I began planning her wedding, we hardly knew where to start. Our first decision was to hire a wedding planner, and the second was to select A Bride's BFF. We selected Mimi because she connected with us from the start. She took the time to understand our vision and our needs. Mimi guided us through the wedding planning process. Her advice and support in reviewing and selecting vendors was absolutely indispensable. She brought us viable contracts and helped us determine which were the right fit. She was especially helpful in selecting the caterer, and our selection turned out to be the choice that made the day really special. We stayed within our budget, and got the most out of every dollar. The most important thing Mimi did for us was take the worry out of the day so we could focus on the things that really mattered. She made sure the rehearsal covered what we needed to know, but was still lots of fun. On the wedding day, we had power outages, cold weather fronts, and a late arriving groom. Mimi and her assistant handled all adjustments necessary with grace and calm and the entire day came off without a hitch. Everyone commented that the wedding was beautiful and they had a great time. I have rarely been so completely satisfied with the service provided by a contractor. Mimi was way more than a contract; she was indeed our "Bride's BFF".

    I was lucky enough to find Mimi after searching endlessly on the internet for day-of planners within my price range! From the beginning (about 6 months prior to my wedding), Mimi was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls and had some great ideas and suggestions for things that I hadn't even thought about. Fast forward to the week of our wedding and she called to confirm all vendors and develop a day-of schedule so we didn't have to worry about it. We were able to enjoy our party without worrying about sticking to the schedule or making sure things were running smoothly, because Mimi took care of all of it! It was wonderful to be enjoying a drink or dance with friends and have her come up and say "cake cutting is in 15 minutes, heads up!" She brought 2 other employees to work with her on the day of the event, and the 3 of them worked to pack up our decorations and gifts efficiently and with care. We had a very unique venue that required a lot of set-up and leg work and I truly believe that we couldn't have pulled everything off without Mimi's support. The smartest thing we did when planning the wedding was hire a day-of coordinator, and Mimi far surpassed our expectations.

    She was able to get every vendor online, part of a comprehensive schedule and did so in a courteous manner. Mimi thought of everything. On the day of the wedding, as I was about to go out to my ceremony, I needed a safety pin . My maid of honor saw that Mimi had placed a basket of "must haves" in the powder room. Among the items in the pins and other little essentials that we would not of thought of.
    What I liked most about Mimi is her manner and delivery. She is very personable and pits others at ease. She is easy to talk to but firm bough to get others to do as needed when needed. She is humble. The day before the wedding, we were running late for our rehearsal. I missed a few items on my to do list for the rehearsal dinner. Mimi jumped right in, ran to the store and helped to get the salad and last few items in place for a successful meal. She did this with a smile and a "don't worry I'll take care of it" attitude which really put me at ease. On my wedding day, everyone did as expected because she had tied up all the loose ands and held everyone accountable. If there was a crisis, I did not know about it...

    I would recommend Mimi to anyone as a competent planner and coordinator who made my day go off without a hitch. She really was my BFF for the day.

    After not having a lot of success finding someone for a reasonable price, I was lucky to have found Mimi. My wedding day was perfect and ran smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Mimi arrived on time and ensured that everything and everyone was on time. I was so glad I had her that day, she ensured my centerpieces and vendors were all set up and on time. When I was finally able to see my reception setiup I was so happy everything was beautiful and exactly how I had envisioned it. I was so glad that I was not the one up all night the day before my wedding trying to put centerpieces together. As a bride, I would recommend Mimi, you need that helping hand on your day of.     Mimi was my day of coordinator/ decorator and such a blessing to have during my big day. Mimi was recommended by a close friend that swore that she would make our day nothing short of amazing and that she did. When I was looking for a planner I was looking for someone who could help with decoration because I didn't want to break the bank and Mimi assured me that she could help. Mimi and her team were responsible for decorating some of reception tables with cylinders with floating candles and flowers/ and the ceremony aisle and tables. I was so nervous that I put to much on her to do but she assured me that her and the team she had could handle it. The month before my wedding I met with Mimi and went over everything that need to be done and she gave me a nice timeline. She made sure to check in with all my vendors to make sure they knew who to contact the day of instead of bothering the bride as well as final payment deadlines for vendors. Mimi was very promt with emails and text messages and would keep in frequently to make sure we were on schedule which was very important for someone like me who took on planning her own wedding. The day of my wedding was when MImi really shined and proved me right that I had made the best decision in hiring her. Everything from setting up the venue to breaking it down happened without a hitch. My DJ and Photgrapher were so impressed how everything happened on time to the "T' according to the timeline created by MImi. During the reception she checked on me and my now hubby frequently to make sure we were ok and happy. We ended the night with a sparkler sendoff in which Mimi took a big part in coordinating to make it happen. The night was beautiful, thanks in a huge part to Mimi and her team. Mimi was a treasure that my and my husband were so blessed to have. If you want your day to be as beautiful as ours without breaking the bank then please don't hesitate in making Mimi "A Brides BFF" your BFF!

    Mimi was EXTREMELY helpful in getting me through my wedding day! I have a huge family to attend to, and I'm pretty particular about decorations and accessories. She made sure that everything was taken care of ahead of time, and reassured me that things were still going smoothly when it came down to the wire. We spent money on many various things for our wedding (like you would with every wedding...) and I would have to say that she was the most worth it of all!     Mimi, functioned as our day-of coordinator and planner.
    For me, her services were invaluable. There were parts of our wedding day I hadn't even thought about. Mimi was there asking questions and providing leads and suggestions every step of the way.
    Throughout several planning meetings and site visits, Mimi helped make our day just as magical as we imagined.
    On the day-of, Mimi's work was visible at every turn. Our ceremony site was gorgeous and everything went smoothly. Our reception was divine; the decor amazing.     JUST AMAZING !!!! Mimi took my wedding from 3 star to 5 star. I was a very budget friendly bride with no idea what I was doing and very little time. I was literally in stress mode, it then I found A Brides BFF. It changed my whole wedding life. Mimi came in and immediately took the stress off my shoulders.     Mimi was absolutely fantastic! I contacted Mimi last minute when I realized I couldn't handle coordinating everything on the weekend/day of by myself. She was literally a life saver! I could not imagine having done the wedding without her! Within hours of handing over my vendor contact information, she had contacted each one of my vendors and confirmed arrival times, etc. She dealt with all the questions vendors had the week/weekend of (so I didn't have to) and made certain everyone knew what to do and when. She created our time line, coordinated our ceremony/reception, set up our DIY materials, made certain that everything was setup to our specifications by the caterer, made sure all the events/people ran on time, and put out several fires on the day of! She was also very responsive and affordable! I can't say enough great things about her! I would hire her again in a heart beat. My only regret was not hiring her sooner! THANK YOU MIMI!!!

    I got married just last week. Hiring Mimi as my wedding planner was one of the BEST choices that I made throughout the whole wedding planning process. She deserves 10 stars out of 5! I don't think that I could have gotten through the wedding without her. Mimi was tremendously helpful during my planning - helping me figure out the setup and the timeline. On the actual wedding day, she was the one who made sure that the vendors set up the venue exactly to my liking. During the wedding, Mimi ran the event wonderfully while I was busy mingling with the guests. Mimi never got in the way of the celebration yet was always around when I needed help. The wedding turned out absolutely PERFECT and I got everything I wanted. The party was fantastic. The venue was beautiful. All the details were right on point. None of this would have been possible without Mimi's coordination. After the wedding, Mimi stayed late to clean up and delivered all the decorations back to us. She is a true professional and I HIGHLY recommend her.

    My husband and I decided we didn't need a wedding planner, just a day-of-coordinator. We interviewed Mimi and we knew she was perfect! We were on a budget and she worked with us to customize a package that fit perfectly. She did so much more than coordinating our wedding day! She checked in with us every month to get updates and keep us on track with planning. She was always available my e-mail to answer questions and provide advice. She attended all of our venue walkthroughs, even though they were not exactly local for us. She offered great suggestions for keeping the event running smoothly well before the big day. And on the day of the wedding, she was invaluable. She gently kept us on schedule without being pushy, she made sure we stayed relaxed (and fed!), and she handled every little thing that came up, including (but not limited to) seating of unexpected guests; extending contracted time with the DJ since everyone was having so much fun; handling and explaining last minute expenses, and so much more! I highly recommend Mimi to anyone, even if you don't think you need the help!

    My husband and I were blessed to have Mimi as our Wedding Coordinator on our wedding day on 8/16/14. It was extremely important to me to have a coordinator that could see my vision, and execute dealings on my behalf in a manner in which I would on the day of our wedding. As a perfectionist, it would not be an easy feat to trust someone with such a daunting task. Immediately upon meeting Mimi, I knew that she was someone that would be up for such a challenge. I was immediately captured by her spirit, and soon after equally impressed by her level of professionalism. Mimi had a keen eye for detail, was great with reading and translating contract work, and stayed in touch and on top of all vendors every step of the way.

    On the day of our wedding; although she was well aware that she had multiple tasks to complete, as time was of the essence, she was kind to all of our guests and treated them not only as if they were our family, she treated them as if they were her own family.

    We were impressed that she stood quietly out of sight of cameras and out of the way of our guests, yet every time we needed her she was right by our sides, or just a glance away, keeping eye contact with us throughout the entire night.

    Our wedding day would not have been the same without Mimi. She was everything that I needed her to be and much more. We would, and will continue to HIGHLY recommend Mimi to any and everyone who is searching for a wedding/event coordinator. We were so blessed to have her help bring peace to such a wonderfully/potentially stressful event in our lives, and we hope that you would accept the blessing in allowing her to do the same for you.

    I enjoyed working with Mimi to execute a small wedding reception in my home. She helped me with party flow, decor, and received and set up catering, among other things. I appreciated that she was willing to charge an hourly rate for my small event; when I was looking for a day-of planner, it seemed that many charge package rates appropriate only for larger events. Mimi was always courteous, on time, and is very friendly. I appreciate the care that Mimi showed in helping me with my small event, and I am also sure that if my event were larger, she would have done just as great a job.

    Simply put, Mimi is AWESOME!! I engaged Mimi about six weeks before the wedding. And the first time we met, she asked basic questions and status of what I have done so far. From that point on, Mimi took over and helped me plan every aspect of the wedding. She came prepared with draft plans, she consistently made sure the plans and various lists we had were updated, and she always asked questions to make sure we were on the same page. Her attention to detail is second to none! On the day of the wedding, she had every part of the wedding covered. She knew when to engage me and when not to.     We used 'A Bride's BFF', Merlyn "Mimi" Perez for day-of coordination for a mostly DIY event. She was invaluable to coordinate vendors, prepare and provide the spreadsheets and timelines (especially if that is not your forte!), and keep everything running smoothly the day of. It was refreshing to tell people, 'talk to Mimi!' We did not use her much for the planning side, but she provides those services as well. It was very nice to know that she would be the point person in case anything during the event went south. We met on the day of the event, and I was glad that she is as nice in person as she was over the phone/e-mail!

    Reliable and problem solvers

    Nageen, my day-of coordinator did an amazing job with my wedding. She was great during the planning portion and especially amazing the day of. We had a situation with my cake where the bakery forgot to make it, and Nageen handled the situation perfectly. When I heard about what was going on, Nageen had already solved the problem and I didn’t have to worry. The decorations were also all placed exactly how I had asked her and everything was packed up neatly at the end of the night. Thank you Nageen and A Bride’s BFF!

    My wedding really was THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I wish I could relive every moment of it again--and a lot of that was made possible because of Mimi and her day-of assistant, Kelly. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for all they did to make my dream wedding a reality. From the ceremony to the reception, it took my breath away. They were absolutely wonderful and did an amazing job. My husband and I are so thankful to have had Mimi as our coordinator. From the moment we hired her (a couple of months out from the wedding) it never felt like she was a vendor. If felt like she was our friend--our very determined to get things done friend :). Her flexibility and quick and independent decision-making was a blessing. There were a few hiccups on our wedding day that Mimi handled discretely and professionally; she handled them quickly and I had no idea any "problems" ever arose until she told me the next day. It is safe to say I was a bit of a control freak and it was hard for me to let go of the reigns; but Mimi made it easy. Everything felt comfortable with her and I had complete confidence that she knew my expectations and could exceed them. My husband and I will always be appreciative to Mimi and will have nothing but fond memories of our time working with her. She truly is a Bride's BFF!!! If my husband and I had to do it all over again we would make the same decision to hire her--the only difference is we would hire her at the beginning of our wedding planning process.

    So I originally booked this for the "day of service" which entails basically month of experience. I did not work with Mimi directly, expect for my ceremony since the individual, Carolyn, who was my day of planner was allergic to dogs and my chihuahua was in the ceremony as the flower dog. Mimi was on point and responded very quickly she was professional from the get go and I appreciated that about her. When we had slight hiccups on the day of the wedding and addressed them with Mimi afterwards she was prompt in response and adequately address our concerns. Other than the slight hiccups (which did cause me some heartburn since I'm kind of an anxious obsessive compulsive personality type by trait) our wedding went off perfectly and the reception was decorated perfectly as per my instructions by Carolyn and team.

    Mimi, the owner of the company, is very competent and responsive. If you get Mimi as your planner than I say that you are in good hands!

Mimi went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me in whatever way she could and also added nice decorative touches to my sign in table.     Mimi (the owner) and Sarah (my actual Day-Of Coordinator) were both great. I don't know what I'd have done without Sarah the day of my wedding! My only regret is not working full-service wedding planning into my budget. I only hired A Bride's BFF for day-of coordination, and while they did a great job, I think it would have been well worth having them plan the wedding top to bottom if you're not a natural at it and get confused with small logistical details (like me).

    It was great to work with the A Bride's BFF team! From the beginning they were responsive and incredibly helpful. We choose to do the day-of coordination was perfect for us. We loved not having to worry about all of the little details, which allowed our friends and family to truly relax and have a wonderful evening. As a Type-A person with extensive experience in event planning, having Diana and her team help out on our wedding day was essential. Things moved smoothly throughout the evening and when the inevitable hiccup arose, we had no idea and found out later! That is a sign of a great coordinator!

    Mimi was really great at organizing and getting things ready for the wedding, such as timelines and to do list. She was very flexible with changes! She was very professional in her work.
    It wasn't until after the wedding that I discovered from several guests, including my family, that her assistant had a nasty attitude problem. I was contracted to have an assistant but didn't see her until a few minutes prior to the ceremony, then I didn't see her at all. I did see her sitting around though. Several guests overheard them talking about people. I emailed Mimi my feedback about not seeing the contracted assistant that was supposed to help me during the day, and also about the attitude problem. No response.
    I can't complain about the service at all. To continue success, she should work on attidtude adjustments of her staff. This will boost business and possible wedding wire ratings.

    Upon our initial meeting with Mimi, it seemed she would be a wonderful help on the day of. We assumed she would be there primarily to coordinate the day of activities and make sure everyone was where they needed to be. We were excited because we felt it would take some of the stress off of our families and help them enjoy the memorable event. During our first meeting with her, she assured us that herself and her assistant, which we hadn't even expected her to have, could handle the setup/breakdown and decorations. We thought this was a lot for them to handle but we were happy they said they could, especially for that price. Up to this point we thought she was great.

    On the day of, they began setting up the flowers/decorations in the ceremony tent but nothing had been done to the main lodge (reception location) by the time the ceremony had started. Our families/friends recognized that we needed help because it seemed like things would not be done in time. There is no way everything would have been done. In fact, it wasn't just family/friends who pitched in, it was other vendors as well.

    At the end of the night, during cleanup, we had family helping put things away and many people noted that Mimi and her assistant were not in the mix of those people. We did notice at least one time that she was sitting on the fireplace with a drink while I, the bride, as well as my husband and best man, were frantically trying to continue to pack up our van so we could get back to our guests at our hotel.

    Overall we thought she was nice but that she was unable to deliver on what she had agreed to, which we felt was unacceptable. I would not recommend getting a day of coordinator if you feel that your caterers and DJ are capable enough to move things along. I would also recommend planning everything out and labeling things, like I did, so that in the event family needs to help, they are easily able to.

    Poor experience

    Our experience with A Bride’s BFF was not very good (to say the least). We booked a day-of wedding coordinator. We felt we needed one since our ceremony was at one venue and our reception was at a different venue. First of all, it was very difficult to coordinate a time to meet with our assigned wedding planner; so much in fact, that our ceremony venue walk-through was less than 2 weeks before our wedding and we did not EVER have a reception venue walk-through due to the difficulty in coordination. This was mostly attributed to the fact that she did not respond to our list of proposed dates and times for meeting until those dates/times had elapsed or were about to elapse (and we then had planned other wedding related meetings since she had not responded).

    We completed and sent over the wedding details sheet for the planner a month before our wedding as suggested; yet, when we met with our planner over 2 wks later, it was as if she had not reviewed any of it. We also created a master timeline for our wedding day and gave it to our planner during our ceremony walk-through. She then proceeded to say that she had her own preferred format for the timeline and that she would send it to us for us to review before our wedding. We received her version of our timeline 1.5 days before our wedding day. She had only logged one of our venues on the form and had actually mixed up our reception venue with our ceremony venue. Many corrections to her document had to be rushed and fixed and sent back to her as she was “hoping you [we] could look over it before I give to my assistant today.” She also did not even know how long she was contracted for on our wedding day which, to us, represented poor oversight by the company since she told us she was “contracted out”.

    Her knowledge of our wedding became even more apparent during our rehearsal exercise the day before our wedding, which she blamed on being “very tired”. Both my husband and I called her 3x on our wedding day and she never called us back. We actually found out from our florist that she was “MIA” at our ceremony venue so they made decisions without her which were less than ideal (even though we expressed exactly to her what we wanted). To be honest, her assistant was far more helpful, though we only had a chance to interact with her on the actual day.

    So, in short, we paid $1500 for someone to essentially pick up less than 10 ceremony materials, deliver them to the ceremony and then clean them up afterwards and put them in our car. We were fortunate to have a separate coordinator that worked at the reception venue who handled things brilliantly there. Overall, very poor coordination, lack of attention to detail, and what seems like poor oversight from the actual company. The amount of effort that went in to coordinating the wedding coordinator was unreal, unexpected, and very disappointing. We felt like the company misrepresented themselves; they are in touch with you during the booking process and appeared as though they contract and pass you off never once touching base thereafter with you again. Not sure if this was Mimi’s intention but that is certainly how it has panned out. It may just be luck of the draw as we see other reviews where couples had different wedding coordinators and excellent experiences. Would certainly NOT recommend.
