Absolutely recommend!
My husband and I knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony, either a garden or a rooftop, within the city limits of Houston. We looked at a few places before 1111 Studewood, but after meeting with Muyiwa, we knew we'd found the perfect venue! The interior space is well designed and has a modern look that doesn't need a lot of decorations. The exterior patio has an amazing view of the downtown skyline. The venue offers catering services, or you can bring in your own caterer. There is a large bar area, and you can bring in your own alcohol and bartenders (important to us since a local brewery generously donated our beer). We had about 70 people, four buffet stations, and a 12 x 12 dance floor and it was a bit of a tight fit inside, but everyone was cozy and had a blast. I would absolutely book another event here! -

We chose this romantic and intimate venue for several reasons - proximity to everything fun in Houston, a loft feeling indoor space and a breathtaking view of downtown Houston! Muyiwa was very easy to work with - he was quick to respond back to my e-mails and offered lots of good solutions or ideas along the planning process. Cancelled Wedding!
We initially chose this place bc it’s a beautiful space. The owner seemed friendly and ready to help us. We initially told us the venue was all inclusive & it held 100 ppl. Long story short, his demeanor changed as soon as we paid the down payment! He was sketchy, very hard to get ahold of! Once we finally got through he completely changed prices, venue capacity! Just to get our tasting done took over 2 months! Not to mention we only got to taste one thing!!!! No follow up after, nothing! It’s like he didn’t even want our business! Also, note if u decide to cater from him directly he will only provide PLASTIC PLATES, SILVERWARE & CUPS!...We initially chose this place bc it’s a beautiful space. He has an extra charge for literally EVERYTHING!!! We ended up canceling our reception here, 65 days before our big day!! He didn’t even have the audacity to respond back with any kind of apology or even attempt to keep our business. I would highly warn to book any type of event here!!! Money, time & energy lost here!!! -

Tried to throw an event here...
I didn't get a chance to even walk this space unfortunately. I called to see if I could get a same day appointment because I was unexpectedly in the area and was trying to take care of two things at once. When I called initially I got no answer but then the gentleman returned my call. I'm not sure if he was having a rough day or not but he came off very short with me. I was looking for a space for a year out and on a Sunday at that. I felt like he was trying to rush me off the phone with his questions and he shut me down as soon as I said I was...I didn't get a chance to even walk this space unfortunately. Well according to their website it eays they can accommodate up to 140. Considering for my event I would not need any tables just chairs I thought it may be a great fit I could just reduce the number of people by 10. However I didn't get the opportunity to tell him anything else. He was too busy telling me they are not a good fit for me. To be clear I just needed chairs and to create an aisle way. It's unfortunate we couldn't work together because I love the pictures of their venue. It would have made for an amazing experience with dope pictures. I was doing the event for a charity but of course I didn't have a chance to let that be known because he was trying to rush me off the phone because "their event space was not a good fit for my event".🤷 -
