We stumbled on the 108 Budleigh while perusing through venues online and immediately fell in love with it. Working with Allison was easy and straightforward which was necessary since we were planning our wedding sight unseen from across the country. Allison was great with allowing our photographer in to check out the venue to look at lighting beforehand and with making sure that we had everything we needed. We chose to pay to get in a day early and were happy that we did because it was extremely relaxed. The space is bright and open with separate spaces that all blended together in a way that made it easy to use for a ceremony and reception. We loved the simple elegance of the 108 Budleigh and were extremely happy with the wedding!

Where do I begin? Our wedding was originally scheduled on the beach and with being out of state we did not have a back up plan. The day before the wedding we were told there was no way to have it outside… well 5 hours later we end up on the phone with Allison and found the GORGEOUS 108 BUDLEIGH. Allison was a breath of fresh air, she even came into town to meet us and show us around. We have only positive things to say about her hospitality and being able to help us in such a crunch. She is passionate and knowledgeable, I feel like I’ve known her for years. The event building is perfect, there is a nice kitchen, bridal and groom suites, upstairs bar, and space for plenty of people. Thank you Allison for making sure our big day was more than perfect!

108 Budleigh was a dream from the moment we toured it with Allison. The interior is stunning and the patio was perfect for photos. Working with Allison to get everything paid for and negotiated was so easy! Definitely recommend 108 Budleigh to anyone who needs a venue in the Outer Banks.

I was referred to Budleigh by a friend who got married there. I loved the venue because it had a romantic feel, loved the chandeliers, fireplaces, and just the feel of the place. It has a cute patio with lights as well. Loved that Budleigh is two stories, so we were able to use the 2nd bar upstairs and there was plenty of space for a photo-booth. Leading up to the wedding, the owners were flexible and were available when I had any questions. It does not take a lot to decorate Budleigh, as the staircase and the tall ceilings create a great atmosphere on its own. There was recently a parking lot built right down the street so that made it easy for guests to park! Would recommend this venue!

We loved 108 Budleigh! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. The seating was appropriate and the dance floor was large with a bar right off of it. It was beautiful and the fact that we were able to bring in our own caterer and alcohol made it ideal! I recommend for couples looking for some southern charm who want more control over their big day.

108 Budleigh was perfect for our reception on September 22nd 2018. We loved the fact that we could bring in our own alcohol and were blown away by the charm of the venue. Between the two floors, and the outside garden area, we knew we had found our venue. The staff has been so prompt and professional and we are so glad we chose this location.

This place is beautiful. Took very little decorations to make it that way. They were wonderful to work with and made my reception the best I could of asked for.

Allison and Bonnie at the Budleigh were so easy to work with. The venue itself is beautiful and set up perfectly with a full kitchen, two bars and a great amount of space for your guests. We had about 85 guests and I think you could really fit quite a few more comfortably. I wish we could do it all over again!

We loved Budleigh and our guests did too. It’s a gorgeous location and the details/amenities inside are so well thought-out. Very little effort is needed to make this venue look amazing. We had right around 100 adults with 10 or so kids and everyone had plenty of room. We worked with Bonnie until Allison came on board, and both were helpful, responsive, and supportive throughout everything.

108 Budleigh was the perfect choice for our wedding reception. It has such a timeless style and effortless elegance that adds a layer of beauty and grace. It has such a simple vintage vibe that requires a minimal amount of decorations so your guests can focus on just how romantic it is. Bonnie was great to work with. I loved how excited she was for us to get married and did an amazing job at responding to last minute emails when we decided we wanted to pop over for a walk through when we were in town! The best perk too is that choosing this venue meant the gold chivari chairs, bistro tables, round dinner tables, and outside veranda and lawn areas were included. We had plenty of room to spread the reception out and transition to multiple areas without feeling crowded!

108Budleigh is the place too book if you are looking to have an elegant/classy wedding reception. We had an outdoor wedding ceremony and then had our reception here. Bonnie is the absolute sweetest to work with. We booked 108 before booking anything else. From there, we started booking all of our vendors. Bonnie is always available for questions or recommendations. Once I saw 108 decorated for my wedding, my heart melted. It was the exact look I dreamed of having. You can't go wrong with 108Budleigh!

This is the most beautiful wedding venue in the outer banks. So much space, and so much character its absolutely gorgeous. We loved that we were able to bring in everything we needed to completely customize our wedding to fit our personalities. Bonnie is so awesome to work with as well!

Bonnie is fantastic! Although, my wedding is not for a year, we just booked with 108 budleigh in march 2015 for next year and she is great. Very down to earth and flexible. Extremely responsive. The venue is very intimate, simple, and classy. There isnt a lot of decpration needed because the style of the venue is so intimate and sweet. There is a lawn outside where you can have the ceremony but i think 50 people max could fit comfortably. I am going to use that area for cocktail hour along with the outside area that has lattic and plants growing on it. When i visited, it was too cold for full blooms but i think the plants on the lattice bloom some flowers. All of the vendors that i have dealt with so far have nothing but great things to say about 108 Budleigh. The Good Life Gourmet stated that this is their favorite venue to cater to. Almost all of the venderos near by have catered to this venue and all have a great relationship. OH! There is also 10% military discount!! No other venues offer it!

108 Budleigh is an absolutely stunning venue. My husband and I held our 95 person reception here and it was the perfect space. Bonnie and her staff were highly professional and made our planning so easy!

The inside space has a very warm feel to it, and we found that minimal decorating was needed. The property itself is so beautiful.

We used the outside terrace for cocktail hour and the entire downstairs area for dinner and dancing. There was plenty of space and guests enjoyed the open space outside.

Our caterer raved about the kitchen and bar areas.

This venue is a must-see if you are looking for an Outer Banks wedding venue!

108 Budleigh is such a gorgeous venue and the fact that you can make your wedding your own is even better. Bonnie was awesome to work with and I was so happy with the outcome of our wedding!

Loved, loved, loved our venue. It was the perfect size that could accommodate all 130 of my guests. The inside is so pretty already, that we did not need to spend a lot of time and money on additional decor. Bonnie was so friendly and personal and helped us with every question we had. No complaints!

I booked 108 Budleigh site unseen and didn't see it in person until a few days before the wedding. Bonnie was incredibly helpful through my planning process and answered every question I had. She was readily available via phone and email and always responded quickly.
As for the venue itself: I was THRILLED. This was a destination wedding for us so I could only bring what would fit in our SUV which cut down on how much we could decorate, but you literally don't need much for it to look great. The veranda is incredible...We rented a couple of high top tables and it looked perfect. Inside, we used a lot of candles which complimented the vintage look and made it feel very romantic. Random things: The fridge is huge so you can fit all your alcohol and mixers and the bathrooms are really nice. Our guests raved about how unique and beautiful Budleigh was, there was a lot of jealousy from my already married friends!
Luckily, the weather worked out for us and we could have the ceremony outside but it was a relief knowing Budleigh was a beautiful backup. I was 100% happy with 108 Budleigh and can't think of one negative thing to say!

What a hidden gem in OBX. Classy, elegant, rustic setting with character. Price is right and you can bring in your own vendors. Bonnie who runs it is responsive, on top of everything, and southern sweetheart. It is close to Manteo Lighthouse which makes for a great ceremony. In case of rain, the spiral staircase would be a great alternative to outside. There is plenty of upstairs space for kids to play, and the bathrooms are not your typical facility bathrooms. They have cute mirrors, stalls and are spotless!! There are so many adorable photo opportunities on the porch as well. The downtown is quaint with adequate parking. This is a must book, and deal with Bonnie she answers all your questions!!!

My husband found 108 Budleigh online and we decided to check it out, almost on a whim. We were very happy with the look and location of the place, so we decided to book it. Bonnie was always prompt in her responses to our (many) questions, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful, offering lovely indoor and outdoor spaces for guest to mingle and also for some beautiful photo ops. I'm sure you could dress the building up if you wanted to, but we liked the look of Budleigh by itself and only decorated minimally. It was great that we were able to rent the facility the day before our morning wedding so that we had plenty of time to set up, and since you have Budleigh for a full day, there was no rush to pack up and get out by a certain time (well 11:00 pm, but that's pretty late...). All of the tables and chairs were included in the fee, so that helped us to cut down on some rental costs. All in all, we couldn't be happier with how our wedding reception turned out.

108 Budleigh was perfect for our wedding. We have always visited Manteo each summer and knew that we had to get married there. Budleigh was a great venue with the best location. It was large enough so guests didn't feel cramped and it was Air Conditioned which was important during a summer wedding!

Bonnie was a joy to work with. She was so sweet and followed up with us regularly and made herself available when we needed to talk to her.

Budleigh is also beautiful inside- you truly have a gem with Budleigh.

When we started looking at wedding venues, Budleigh was the first and only venue we looked at. My husband and I fell in love with the venue and it's beauty. For a summer wedding, Budleigh is perfect because it's air conditioned and has ceiling fans so it never gets stuffy inside which is an issue I've heard about other venues. I also enjoyed the fact that I got to hand pick my vendors instead of committing to a package that had preselected vendors. Bonnie is also an absolute joy to work with. She is so fun and nice and understanding, you really couldn't ask for a better person to work with at Budleigh. We did both the ceremony and reception in Budleigh and it was seamless and everything that I wanted.

After the wedding, my guests raved about the venue and how beautiful and unique it was. The surrounding area providing guests with a nice little extra something to do during cocktail hour- people loved walking the downtown area and the waterfront (which makes for amazing photo ops for couple photos also!)

She was always very accommodating to let us get into the venue whenever we were in town to plan. Our wedding ceremony was at the Manteo waterfront, and everything flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception. It was the perfect choice for us!

This is a beautiful place!!! The manager is extremely quick to respond to all emails, and I sent her many. It was the perfect place to get ready for our ceremony at Marshes Lighthouse and provided a beautiful backdrop for many, many pictures. All of our guests commented about how gorgeous this venue is. I can't wait to see all of our pictures. We had beautiful weather and had cocktail hour on the veranda on the side and then guests were able to enter and have a great time during the party.

108 Budleigh was the perfect place to have our wedding and reception. We used the space for both our ceremony and reception. It was so beautiful and perfect. Our guests raved about how personal the space was and how perfect it was for a wedding. The venue has so much character that it doesn't require much decorating. Bonnie is an absolute joy to work with. She is very quick to respond to emails and is very helpful with questions. The surrounding area near 108 Budleigh is so quant and a great setting for a wedding. We were able to take pictures around downtown Manteo which was so pretty. I highly recommend this venue.

108 Budleigh was the PERFECT venue for our daughter's wedding! Bonnie was very helpful and responsive in a timely manner to any questions during our 10 month planning process. I would definitely recommend 108 Budleigh as a beautiful alternative to a "beach wedding" on the Outer Banks!

This is a beautiful venue. Very well set up for a larger wedding (ie enough bathrooms for everyone and important things like that). Right in the heart of downtown Manteo so we had guests stay nearby and everyone could walk to/from the reception.

The staff is super helpful and responds immediately to any questions. They are also great about working with special requests and helping you find supporting vendors if needed. They helped me find a place to rent table cloths.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to hold our reception. It was also our weather back up plan which would have worked great (though very glad we didn't need to use it for this purpose).

108 Budleigh is a beautiful venue, and the people are fantastic to work with. Any questions I had were answered promptly, and everyone was willing to help anyway they could. I would definiatly use 108 Budleigh again, or recommend it to anyone planning an event on the Outer Banks. We were able to get in at 8 am to being set up with allowed for a stress free day.

108 Budleigh is a gorgeous location to have your wedding! I had originally planned on having my wedding on the beach, however, on the day of my wedding we woke up and it was raining. Thanks to 108 Budleigh's flexibility of allowing us to have the event space for the entire day we were able to relocate the wedding to indoors and it was still beautiful. My husband and I were married on their beautiful staircase. We had cocktail hour upstairs utilizing the bar and balcony area. Then we returned downstairs for the remainder of the reception. 108 Budleigh is a magical place that takes very little to make it look amazing. Bonnie was also easy to work with and she was very laid back! We would not have wanted to get married anywhere else!

108 Budleigh was an absolutely perfect venue for our daughter's wedding reception. It's location in downtown Manteo was just a short distance from The Elizabethan Gardens where the wedding took place. Bonnie was always willing to let us "stop by" during our visits leading up to the wedding which was very helpful. We were able to seat all of our 115 guests on the first floor and use the second floor exclusively for the cocktail hour. It's a beautiful venue which requires minimal decor. There is a bridal suite on the second floor, and since you reserve the venue for the entire day, its a perfect place for the bridal party to meet and get ready together. It's Royalty Salon is conveniently located across the street and a great place for hair and make-up. 108 Budleigh is a wonderful mix of elegance, convenience and functionality, just a perfect setting for a special occasion.

108 Budleigh is a gorgeous reception spot in the quaint town of Manteo. I am so happy that we chose all of our events to be walkable in the downtown area. Bonnie and Allison were awesome to work with and let us into the space a few times prior to the wedding for planning purposes.

My husband and I chose 108 Budleigh for our wedding reception and were absolutely blown away by the amazing service we received. Bonnie was always available to answer any and all questions I had and did so promptly and thoroughly. We were able to arrange all decorations the morning of the wedding which made the whole day relatively stress free. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the location was and we truly could not have picked a better place to celebrate this joyous event in our lives. Anytime we came for a visit, she allowed us to go inside. This was super helpful! Being able to provide our own alcohol and caterer was a major selling point for us. 108 Budleigh was absolutely stunning on our wedding night! Everything was perfect from the very beginning...the flexibility, endless options, responsiveness of Bonnie, friendliness, etc. We received compliments over and over from our guests on what a perfect setting we chose and how it was the perfect combination of class and comfort. The amount of space, stylish bathrooms, two bars, beautiful patio with double french doors (which kept guests cool while dancing!), and gorgeous wooden floors and ceilings all made for an unforgettable experience. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The setting in downtown Manteo couldn't be more perfect with the water only steps away. Our guests delighted in breaking away from traditional hotels and staying in adorable Inn's, B&B's, and cottages. We are overwhelmed with all of the positive responses from our guests and we will be coming back to Manteo year after year!

My husband and I researched over 50 places to get married on the coast of NC. We knew we wanted to get married near the outer banks. After broswing theknot.com for what seemed like the 1,000th time, I stumbled upon a review of 108 Budleigh. I looked at the website, emailed a few questions to Bonnie (who is amazing to work with) and we booked it, without even seeing it first in person.
We later drove to Manteo (we live in South Carolina) to finish up with all of our vendors and Bonnie was out of town. She was so kind to give us the code to view Budleigh for the first time. It was BREATHTAKING!!!
We knew we had to be creative, it's a great space for just a ceremony or just a reception. But we wanted to have everything in one location. We didn't think it could work at first, but the day of the wedding everything was perfect!
We had around 90 people at our ceremony and reception. The ceremony was in the same room and the reception. We ended up inviting our guests to watch us release doves by the pier to allow time to reset the room with the dinner tables/dance floor.
This venue was everything we invisioned. It was big enough for everyone to dance and mingle, but still small enough to be intimate.
We wanted to share our special day with close family and friends, and the upstairs area that we used for cocktail hour was plenty big enough for us to meet and greet our guests.
There is even a small room with a tv and sitting area, which the men enjoyed watching the Michigan basketball game after the reception.
108 Budleigh was perfect in every way. I recommend this to any bride who wants and intimate wedding and/or reception in a beautiful historic building in a great location!

Bonnie and her family were so wonderful to work with. I fell in love with 108 Budleigh when I saw the pictures on their website. After seeing it in person I was even more in love with it. A little obsessed actually. I wish I could go back and have a party there again. It is such a beautiful, elegant, romantic place to have a wedding at. I am so happy we chose Budleigh as our venue. We even had to end up having our wedding ceremony inside due to weather conditions, and it was so beautiful. Such an intimate, romantic setting for the entire event. The space is perfect, the layout and decorations are adorable. Even the women's bathroom is the cutest bathroom I've ever seen. I just loved everything about this place and would recommend it to anyone!!

Great venue! We looked all over and knew this was the one the minute we stepped in. A blank beautiful canvas/space to work it. A full kitchen, two bars, and tables & chairs were included!

108 Budleigh was a beyond perfect place for our reception! Bonnie, who runs it, was so easy to work with, so responsive throughout our year of planning. We had about 113 guests at the reception and the space was just the perfect size. Everyone kept raving about how beautiful it was. I would definitely recommend Budleigh to any OBX bride!

Just beautiful. Everyone was amazed with how pretty the Budleigh is. I fell in love with it from the moment that I walked through the door. Bonnie was so nice and easy to deal with and just wonderful all-around. Having this location all day was a relief since we knew that it could serve as a back-up in case of rain (thank goodness we didn’t need it though!). I have nothing bad to say – it was just as beautiful as I knew it would be. We only had 55 people or so, and it didn’t feel empty like I thought it might. I think it’s a pretty easy space to work with no matter how many or few people you have. We did cocktail hour upstairs, dinner/dancing downstairs, and some bistro tables outside that my husband and his friends enjoyed drinking beers around. I highly recommend using the Budleigh.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! This is an amazing space. We loved everything about it!

Loved this venue- it is very spacious, well decorated and the people are wonderful to work with. If it is a nice day/night out- you can open the doors and have the patio and yard set up with tables as well. All of our guests commented on what a great place it was. We also had a large band and there was plenty of dancing room. The location is in downtown Manteo, which is close to tons of B&Bs and cute hotels/inns for people to stay in. I highly recommend them!

The most charming reception site on the Outer Banks!

Haven't had the wedding yet, but love the venue. The owners have been outstanding to work with. They will allow access anytime if prearranged. My son hadn't seen the venue and they gave me the access code. The also rent out a house nearby, which is great for family and wedding party.

We had our wedding at 108 Budleigh on May 4th, and could not have asked for a better experience. When we first visited the venue during the planning process, it was immediately apparent that the structure and location were going to make a beautiful setting. Working with Bonnie in booking and scheduling was easy, and she is very responsive via email to assist with any questions. The price for booking is extremely reasonable and the venue gives you complete flexibility for set up, design, and vendor choices which is extremely valuable in the planning process. We were even able to pay a minimal fee to set up the day prior to take the stress away from the actual day. Finally, our pictures came out wonderfully even with minimal decor thanks to the innate beauty and great lighting in the building. If we were planning our wedding again, we would pick 108 Budleigh again in a heart beat!

108 Budleigh was the most amazing place to get married. We had our ceremony and reception inside Budleigh, and can't think of a single thing that we would change. The staff was more than accommodating. They were professional, helpful, and overall, awesome! I had so many people tell me what a great place we chose to have our wedding! We had out of town guests stay at Tranquil House Inn across the road, the bridal party's makeup was done by It's Royalty, and everything we needed was just a few steps away. We were able to actually get ready at Budleigh on the wedding day, which was so incredible to not have to go from place to place. We absolutely loved Budleigh, and would recommend it to anyone!

108 Budleigh is such a great space. We used it as our reception venue and it was our ceremony rain location, but luckily we didn't have to use it. We love downtown Manteo, so the location of the venue was perfect - less than 10 minutes from our ceremony venue, Elizabethan Gardens, and we were able to pop out after dinner to take some photos downtown. We initially worked with and toured the space with Bonnie, who has since retired, but was wonderful. Allison took over working with us, and while we never met her in person, she was very easy to work with.

We decided to book with 108 Budleigh for our wedding reception. My husband is from the outer banks and was familiar with the area, where I had never seen it. It was pretty stressful for me to try to order decorations for a place I have never seen, but Bonnie was very kind and the place is just beautiful. Once we arrived in NC, we (I) wanted to stop by and take a look at the place. Bonnie wasn't able to meet us at the time we were hoping to get in to the building, but arranged for us to get in anyway. The place has a old, elegance feel to it. It is beautiful on its own and doesn't need many decorations. The reason I did not give it 5.0 stars was that we were notified only the week before our wedding that the sound system was not working- we did not get a dj and were just going to play music from an ipad. Luckily, we were able to get everything working, without having to rent more equipment, it just would have been nice to know as soon as they found out. They did not have a microphone, so we had to purchase one, but have left it there so anyone using Budleigh from here on out would be able to use it. There is an outside veranda area that we had strung up globe lights and set up cornhole boards for people to play with. Although it was only used for our reception, it was our rain plan. I'm sure the ceremonies that are held there are just beautiful!

Our wedding was held on October 5, 2013. We could not have asked for a better day or location!108 Budleigh is beautiful and is located right in the middle of the lovely downtown area of Manteo. We had a wonderful time and our family and friends are still talking about how much fun they had too! My suggestion would be to stay in close contact with Bonnie (Manager) and if you decide that 108 Budleigh is the location for you, then book as soon as possible. Their calendar fills up fast. This location, the surrounding area and beauty of the building is worth a look-see. You will not be disappointed! K & G

We loved having our wedding at 108 Budleigh! Bonnie was great, and everyone loved the venue! We would definintely use it again, but we would have to find a reason to!

108 Budleigh is a BEAUTIFUL venue set in downtown Manteo. Bonnie was very flexible and allowed us access to the building anytime we needed, whether it was to show it to my parents who live out of town or to work out table arrangements. The venue provides tables and elegant Chivari chairs on top of wonderful backdrop to a perfect wedding reception.

108 Budleigh was the perfect reception venue for us. It has a lot of space and character. Our family and friends loved it. It even had a room upstairs to use for a babysitter, which worked out great.

This venue may seem pricey (and I'm speaking as a bride on a very tight budget), but all I can say is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! This venue is gorgeous, and Bonnie, the woman I dealt with during our wedding, was so amazing. Our only complaint was that the bridal room was like a sauna. Bonnie assured me that had we called HVAC (a number provided on site), the problem would have been resolved, but I didn't even think of that on my wedding day as I was dressing. Overall, I was pleased with this venue. It's unique, historical, and there are so many amazing Inns for your guests to stay in, and they are all within walking distance. It is ROMANTIC!!!!!! I also really appreciated the fact that Bonnie kept in constant communication with me, leading up to our wedding day. She is very kind and professional.

The place is gorgeous and the rental fee is a great value for what you get.
Your rental includes full use of the facility of the day as well as buffet tables, round tables & chairs for guest seating.

The only recommendation would be if 108 Budleigh could include for an additional fee standard linens and standard place setting rentals and possibly table & chair set-up. It's quite a bit for DIY and we would have definitely paid any extra fees to avoid the hassle of having to do it all ourselves / working with an outside rental company.

Overall, Budleigh is fantastic! Highly recommened!

We fell in love with 108 Budleigh the second we walked in. It offers great value in comparison to some of the other options, and includes tables and chairs for your use. The historic building has so much charm and character on it's own, but you can make into whatever you dream it to be. The outdoor space is just large enough for guests to take a breather from the dance floor. And everyone loved the cocktail hour upstairs because of how intimate the space feels. The floor is quite slick, so we provided a basket of flip flops for the ladies to get out of their dangerous high heels. Otherwise, our reception here was flawless. We highly recommend it!

108 Budleigh was a beautiful and unique venue for our wedding in October of 2013. Our guests loved the charming town of Manteo, and it was the perfect weekend getaway we had in mind for our guests! The interior at Budleigh is beautiful, and the layout provides so many options to choose from. Bonnie was so nice to work with and helped us make the weekend a huge success! They were unforgiving on their set-up and take-down policies, making it an ordeal for our friends and our wedding planner to get everything both set up and taken down on the day of the wedding. Despite this inflexibility, they were otherwise very personal and kind, and I would definitely recommend this as a venue!

Once you see 108 Budleigh, you will love it. It is stunning and such a unique venue. I am so pleased that I had my wedding reception here and it is a great plan B if you plan to marry outside. The cost of renting the venue will give you from 7am until midnight so if it does rain, you can simply have your ceremony at the same place as your reception. Bonnie was great to work with and very accommodating the week before our wedding. I had a little trouble communicating with her at times as she didn't respond to emails, but overall, I would do it again. When renting the Budleigh, you are only renting the space. Several tables and chairs are included, but you will need to bring in food, music, coordination, etc.

108 Budleigh is the perfect spot to have a wedding/reception. It was so beautiful in the inside, I received multiple compliments on the site, it was perfect for our big day!

This venue & town is so charming! We absolutely loved it as well as all of it's character.
Our our only disappointment was the cost to rent the facility. We didn't feel that they did as much as they could have considering the cost. When we got in we had to set up all the tables & chairs which we did not realize. Bonnie is great though and very responsive! Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone.

108 Budleigh is the beautiful venue and creates the perfect canvas for any wedding whether you want to make it elaborate with ornate decor, flowers, rentals etc or keep it just keep it simple with small diy touches and details. It's nice that it comes with tables and chairs, unfortunately they are smaller rounds that only seat 6-8.
Bonnie is so sweet and was willing to help with questions, concerns and recommendations. They were also flexible with letting me view the space and take measurements even during the holidays, since I was planning the wedding from out of town.

108 Budleigh is a wonderful venue for the reception. My ceremony was supposed to be outside but it ended up raining so at the last minute I had to fit the ceremony inside.
The people are great to work with and the site is amazing. There is a full ktichen that your caterer will love. The site also needs little decor because it has so much character.

108 Budleigh is just beautiful. Our guests continue to comment about how romantic of a space it was. It was everything we wanted in a wedding venue. Bonnie is on top of everything. She is very quick with her email responses. We were able to walk through with our planner many times so we could map out where things would go. They were just so accommodating.
Negatives:
You are paying for only the space and nothing else. It is a bit pricy for only the venue (but worth it).
The tables at the Budleigh are not so great. They are not banquet tables, but more like picnic tables. They only seat 6 people and that still means two of the six have to straddle the table legs. We ended up renting tables. The chairs that they have are beautiful though and really go with the romantic feel of the venue.

Overall, I would very much recommend them to anyone who is interested. The place is beautiful!

108 Budleigh was perfect for my April 2021 wedding. They were incredibly flexible so I was able to create the wedding that I envisioned at a price tag I could afford! This venue has lots of perks:

-quaint location near the Manteo waterfront (my guests loved this!)
-outdoor terrace for cocktail hour
-able to provide out own alcohol!
-lotsss of flexibility with vendors
-tables and gold chairs provided
-a restaurant grade kitchen which was so ideal for my caterer. Plus that meant plenty of fridge space for our alcohol (since we provided it!!)

One of the best perks was this: at 60 days before our wedding I was given the opportunity to tag on Friday to my contract for a heavily discounted price. Meaning that we had the venue for 2 days compared to only 1. A crew of family and friends were able to go on Friday morning to set up tables/chairs, refrigerate the alcohol, drop off any decor...etc. Being able to divide up the work over two days made the whole weekend so much more enjoyable for everyone!!

The venue is absolutely beautiful and very different from anything else on the Outer Banks. Since it is a two story building the DJ needs to be located centrally to be able to hear throughout the whole building, but that was my only complaint!

108 Budleigh is a beautiful venue but it was so hard to get in contact with them after the contract. There were also some sanitary problems, but they stepped up and made the best of it! Overall it was a good night

Our wedding fell on the same weekend that Hurricane Matthew hit and the Governor of North Carolina declared a state of emergency as the roads were severely flooded and many power lines were down. Entry to the Outer Banks and Dare County was prohibited if you weren't local. In fact, a curfew was set in place and only Emergency Responders were allowed on the roads as much as possible. Our wedding was obviously cancelled and the owner of 108 Budleigh was unsympathetic to our situation, and said "I own half of Manteo and have a flooded property I need to attend to, so I'll have to call you back later." She didn't call back, so we called, and they still felt we weren't entitled to receive half of what we paid back. Eventually, we had to file a claim for services unrendered to the bank. Most of our family are active duty military members and were literally able to come from out of state and out of country just for the wedding. It was important that they were present for the ceremony so rescheduling wasn't an option. It would have been nice if the owners were more understanding given the situation. A few days later, a family member was out and about discussing the unfortunate interaction we've had with 108 Budleigh when a local approached her and said, "I couldn't help overhearing, but the owners of 108 Budleigh are known to be nasty people, and I hope it all works out." We very much hope that future couples/families do not have to go through what we went through. We were highly disappointed and upset at the change in treatment after circumstances became difficult.
