Very good experience, Amy treats loves her clients like family.

Amy from 1 of 13 photography surpassed our expectations for capturing the spirituality of the church wedding and the uproarious fun of the reception. Her suggestions for unusual shots turned out to be favorite pictures. We were all totally satisfied.

AMAZING AMY is the nickname I dubbed Amy on our wedding day! It's also how I would describe the work of 1 of 13 Photograghy and the incredible moments she was able to capture. I couldn't have found a better photographer to capture our special day and help share the lasting moments with our friends and family through her pictures! She made us feel comfortable prior to the wedding, during the wedding and taking photos and after through the development process. Amy was the best choice I could have made for our wedding photography. From the moment I met Amy, I knew that she was the perfect fit for our wedding! She has a captivating personality and is so easy to get along with. She was always a pleasure to work with and very responsive leading up to the wedding.

As for the wedding day, oh my god she saved the day. In the midst of a limo disaster, Amy so easily thought on her feet and found an alternate (and gorgeous) location for our bridal party portraits after the ceremony. She worked so hard to capture every moment throughout the evening. All her hard work paid off, because we have the most beautiful photos of the wedding. Amy has a crazy, talented way to capture so many emotions in her photos.

I would HIGHLY recommend Amy for any bride within the Wilmington, NC area. On top of being extremely creative and talented, she was so easy to work with leading up to and the day of the wedding.

Thank you Amy for capturing beautiful moments from the best day of our lives! We could not have made a better choice on a photographer.

I met Amy at a bridal expo and knew right away she was going to be my photographer, we had a connection that I couldn't explain but compared to nothing that I had experienced with any other photographers I had met. I would've booked her on the spot but needed my fiancées (now husband's) opinion as well. Once he met her and took in her personality and saw her creativity come to life, we were both sold. Amy was constantly in-touch with me during the year leading up to our wedding and we had a couple in-person meetings to lock everything down. The day of our wedding, which was supposed to be solely outside, it was our first tropical storm of the season so new plans had to be made but it didn't seem to effect her in the least. Some of our shots had to be improvised from what we originally discussed, but she was outside with the boys jumping in puddles and inside with the girls taking shots I didn't even know she was taking half the time. She was in the rain to get the perfect shot, she was in the sand to take them from a different angle, she was on her knees on the concrete to get the perfect running shot. Everything she did, every picture she took, there was an idea and a purpose. She wasn't constantly in anyone's face to get pictures and half the time I forgot she was there and was more than pleasantly surprised when I saw the outcome. My pictures came out stunning and they helped me remember parts of my day that flew by. Her art behind the camera is why you should choose her as a photographer, her personality and aura is why you should choose to have her as an integral part of your big day and if you're lucky, beyond that as well. .

Amy is wonderful!!! Right off the bat, we connected. She is incredible at getting all the information from us to make our day special. And she followed through on everything we requested. Truly an artist.... She makes you feel comfortable and she's so good with kids!!! My husband and I are not one to "pose" for pictures because we are awkward enough but she knew exactly what to do to get a good picture. Not only did I find a top of the line photographer, I found a friend!! Thank you Amy!

Amy is not only talented beyond belief, but she is SO warm, genuine, and caring. She took time to get to know my husband and I before we were married, and she truly shows that she cares about you as people. She worked with us with cost, and exceeded our expectations just by simply being herself. You can truly see very clearly from the moment you meet her that Amy cares, and wants to be a part of your adventure. She is in this business not only because of her talent, but because she loves people! Amy is THE best, and I cannot wait to work with her again!!! And it just so happens that her pictures are beyond beauuuuuutiful!

I could not have asked for a better photographer! Amy was so professional and on point with every detail. She came earlier and stayed longer then scheduled, she knew every member of my family by name, without ever meeting them. Her style and take on photography was exactly what we were looking for. Every photo she took, was better then the one before. She truly captured every moment...looking thru the photos was like we were there all over again. I would highly recommend her to all brides!

My best friend recommended I look at Amy's work when I was looking for a wedding photographer because she had worked with her before and highly respected her work (and she knew I would love her personality). Her website drew me in to the story behind her business and the emotion she evokes in her images. She truly captures moments rather than forcing poses. After we met at her farmhouse I/we were completely smitten with Amy and her work. I think pulling out the games and BB gun really worked for Matthew! :) I was so glad we had an engagement session with Amy prior to the wedding to get use to each other and practice being in front of a camera, which is not natural for me but she made me so comfortable I never had a moment of feeling self-conscious. So, if I was 100% on board with Amy after our initial meeting I was 1,000% on board with her photographing our wedding after the engagement session. She made the process seem natural, fun and she even loved working with my excitable pup! Amy made a beautiful guest book from our engagement photos that we will treasure forever and her personalized photo tags were attached to our favors so guests knew how to access the photos after the wedding. In the (crazy) days leading up to the wedding Amy was a reassuring voice of reason. The day of our wedding was "soupy and swampy" but it didn't faze her in the least. All our plans changed but she was able to capture the emotions and moments of the night. I know it wasn't a photographers dream but she was the ultimate professional. She knew everyone's name, she remembered all the things we had talked about, she captured every detail and she didn't hesitate to jump on the (wet) ground to get the shot she wanted. Amy has a natural ability to interact with the guests and become invisible when necessary. Our family will treasure the images she captured forever as she truly created the storybook for our wedding day. Thank you again and again!

Amy did an excellent job. Very professional. Never knew she was there taking all the pictures except for the formal poses. Listened to what we wanted and produced exactly that. Took any picture we wanted at a particular moment in the evening - family group photos - brothers and sisters - cousins - etc.. Beautiful results. Extremely please with her work. Thank you Amy!

Amy is not only an amazing photographer, but she is one of the most genuinely sweet people I have ever known. She took our engagement pictures 4 years ago, and I knew when we finally got around to planning our wedding she would be the photographer for us. My husband is not very comfortable in front of the camera, but for both our engagement photos and at our wedding Amy's laid back style made him and all of our guests feel totally comfortable and at ease. She was able to capture very special moments across the room without anyone even knowing their picture was being taken. You can tell she loves what she does, and she spreads joy wherever she goes.

Also, a little more than a week after our wedding Amy had all 700+ of our photos edited and ready to view! I was amazed at the quick turn around, because I know people sometimes wait months for their photos. Our actual wedding day was pretty cloudy, but when I got the photos back you would never know because somehow she made it look sunny. Amy's kind heart and positive spirit was a welcome sight on a day that can sometimes get a bit overwhelming.

Amy McConnell ROCKS!!! When I met her I fell in love with her laid back yet totally professional style. She is so very easy to talk to and work with and she will do ANYTHING for you!!! My family and friends also fell in love with Amy and I can't imagine our wedding experience without her! From our engagement session to the entire wedding day, Amy was there with a smile, high energy, photo ideas and all around awesomeness! She really made us feel comfortable and calmed our nerves. She has a great eye for beauty but if something isn't"working" she moves on to another shot. Her work is amazingly beautiful and on top it all off, she is a great person! You will NOT be disappointed with Amy McConnell! !!!

I can not say enough how grateful we are that Amy photographed our "reception party" we married in Jamaica and there is NO comparison between our wedding album and reception album! Our RA totally tells a story and I LOVE looking at it and replaying the memories! I am also a hair stylist and have worked with many photographers.... she takes the cake! She is professional, fun, and has an awesome creative mind! And brides.... She REALLY makes it YOUR DAY!

1 of 13 Photography did our wedding photos on the beach along with our reception photos and I couldn't have been happier! Amy is so creative and full of fun and fresh new ideas no matter what vision you bring to her. She is a true artist. Everytime I look at the photos, I'm immediately brought back to that night because the pictures she took captured so many wonderful memories. I could type for days and not say enough wonderful things about Amy. On two if our most special days she captured our families in some truly amazing photographs. Amy was the best! From champagne at our engagement photos to letting me an my girls get dressed at her studio, she was the greatest. I loved every minute of Amy McConnell from 1 of 13 being the photographer at our wedding. Just today, 9 years later, I pulled the album out to show our friend...he's six. It is amazing how much joy and emotion my pictures brought out in me so many years later. Amy is AMAZING!!!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about her and her work!
I had a few options up for the job but really wasn't sure and than had her recommended to me to check out and the second I met her I knew she was it :) I couldn't be happier with my pictures and all the compliments I get from them. I can't wait to use her again as we start our family.
She is so involved but so flexible with what you want to do and so many wonderful ideas for you to have the greatest pictures you can. Amy is professional, sweet and so wonderful to just talk to! I love everything about her and her work and can not recommend her enough for you to use for any special day you want documented in your life!!! Amy is AMAZING!!! I can't recommend her enough, she was so fun and open to anything you wanted for your day! I think she had just as much as I did! We love Amy! Amazing pictures! Very helpful with other ideas as well. My bridal portrait pictures were so much fun, and I loved every single one. There was not one picture from the wedding that we did not like. I wish we had more events so we could have Amy take the pictures.

I LOVED AMY!!!
We met Amy at the wedding fair at the community college. We actually missed out on most of the venders b/c we were talking with Amy the whole time. When we went in for our first "real" meeting she kept telling us "when you interview other photographers make sure you ask them..." and she was helping us find the perfect fit. What she didn't know was every time I left her office I would tell Zach that I am NOT interview in anyone else, I found my photographer. She was so nice and such a pleasure to have around. I wish we were engaged longer so I could have more time with her!!! She was the easiest of all my venders to find. She also gave us good direction for the rest of venders.
