Kyle and I met while we were both working at O'Charley's in Bloomington, Indiana. I was a returning student at Indiana University and Kyle happened to come into my life at the exact right moment. We were introduced by a mutual friend, (Big shout out to Chad O) and from that day forth we were inseparable. After a short lived friendship, Kyle said those three magic words, over the phone and while I was in Vegas. It was such a surprise. I knew he was someone special, but at the time I had no idea he really felt that way about me. Kyle said to me, when I returned from my Vegas Vacation, "I knew I loved you from the moment I first saw you. I knew your were the girl I wanted to be with." These words and out-pour of emotions shocked me. I never knew or understood the whole "Love at First Sight" concept. I told myself to take it slow and even though this shocked and frightened me a little, I am so glad I took the time to really get to know Kyle. Even if I didn't believe how true these feelings coming from him really were in the beginning, I would soon learn that his love and devotion were sincere and he really did have a strong commitment and love for me and our future together. You have to hand it to Kyle, I was not the most easily convinced person. Having a rocky, sometimes non-existent belief in marriage, he tried many times to talk to me in regards to long term plans or marriage. I know he asked me numerous times prior to our engagement, but I am so very happy he never stopped asking me! As everyone knows, last April I did say yes! We have shared close to five years together as a couple and are very excited to take our relationship to the next stage. We can't wait to start our lives as one family. We both are so very lucky to have families that love our significant other. We are already family but in February 2011, we will make it official. Our ceremony will take place beach side in Clearwater Florida and although it will be a small ceremony with a limited amount of family and friends, we do plan to have a large reception in Bloomington Indiana upon our return. Kyle and I are very excited to share these special occasions with you and we are so blessed to have such supportive and fantastic friends and family. Soon you can start addressing the mail to the SIMS, a name I am very proud to share with the one person I choose to share the rest of my life with!
