Everything we got from Henny for our dessert table was delicious and crafted / displayed beautifully. We went with a variety of cupcakes, cookies, and brownies and I liked that she does more than just cake so you can offer a bunch of different desserts. In hindsight I would have gotten more cookies/brownies than cupcakes because those disappeared FAST. My fiance and I unfortunately didn't get to try many of them but they must have been good! We overall had a good experience with Henny. She was easy to communicate with via email and was able to accommodate us with some gluten free cupcakes for my MIL with a gluten allergy. My SIL actually said that the GF cupcakes of the same flavor were better than the regular ones. I have a couple critiques I wanted to mention from my experience. One aspect of her business I didn't agree with was that you can't change your guest count after signing the contract. Maybe I have a unique situation, but we had invited 150 guests so we of course ordered dessert for that many. We ended up getting more "no's" than expected and no one taking us up on plus ones, and then a whole bunch of last minute bail outs which resulted in our final count being just under 100. This could have been poor planning on my part but it would have been nice to be able to update our guest count a couple weeks out. That is a standard with most catering companies so I'm not really sure why she doesn't do it that way? I also did not try to negotiate this with her so it could have been on me for that reason too. We ended up with an excessive amount of cupcakes at the end of the night. I'm not mad about the fact that we were eating them for a couple weeks straight haha, BUT it would have been nice to have a more accurate amount of them from the get-go. Maybe like I said before the ratio of cupcakes to cookies was also off for my particular crowd's tastes so that factored in as well... Along this same line of thought, I had asked Henny to bring to-go containers so guests could bring a dessert or two home with them. She agreed to do so, but must have forgotten. This also would have helped our over abundance situation I'm sure. I should have reminded her but it was the last thing on my mind week-of. Lastly, we had a bit of a hiccup with our tasting. We drove over an hour to the bakery which is at her house and when we got there she was not expecting us because she had forgotten about us. It was definitely an awkward moment, but I understand that we're all human and make mistakes. I think she also had her son's wedding happening around that time so I'm sure her mind was elsewhere. I'm just glad we had other reason to be in that area that day so we didn't drive there for nothing. She did make up for it by dropping us off a tasting box at Chef Joe's the next time we were in the area and going there which we really appreciated! In general I would recommend Henny but unfortunately can't say it was a totally flawless experience that we had.

Henny created beautiful cakes for our daughtwr’s Wedding this spring. They were delicious and just what we wanted. Henny is a delight to work with. We highly recommend her!
