Everything was a breeze for my wedding. The planning was easy. Communication was great. Our special day was seamless. Thank you to randy, Christina, and the woodwinds team for a phenomenal experience and delicious food.

Picking WoodWinds as our caterer was hands down one of the BEST decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. When I say they handle EVERYTHING, I am not exaggerating. Originally when I reached out to them as a catering inquiry I was just thinking they’d handle the food portion of the night, but they are SOOO much more than that. Not only did they provide exceptional food (that my guests are still raving about), but they set up and broke down ALL of the decor for the entire event, provided such attentive service to everyone in attendance, were SO friendly and accommodating, and asked me for such specific timelines and details to make sure I had my dream wedding. They were not only so attentive prior to the event and always promptly responded to all of my questions/emails, but the day of I was provided with a Bridal Bestie who literally made sure my husband and I had anything we needed the entire time. I can’t explain the relief and weight off my shoulders that they gave me by setting up the entire venue. I dropped off ALL of the decor to them the week of the wedding, so the day of all I had to do was focus on getting myself ready. When I walked into my fully decorated venue, it was truly more beautiful than I could have imagined because of their attention to detail and experience. I truly could go on and on, I am just so incredibly thankful for the entire WoodWinds team and credit them for a huge reason why my wedding was absolutely perfect.

Our fall wedding at Woodwinds at Gastler Farm (September 2025) was nothing short of amazing. The food was out of this world — we heard over and over again how delicious everything was, especially the salmon, pastas, and appetizers. People actually told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding!

The Woodwinds at Gastler Farm staff went above and beyond to make the day perfect. Our wedding attendants — lovingly dubbed “the fairies” — were everywhere we needed them to be, often before we even realized we needed help. From fixing my train to making sure we always had a drink in hand, they thought of everything.

We felt completely taken care of, and it let us relax and truly enjoy every moment. Woodwinds at Gastler Farm delivered a perfect mix of professionalism, warmth, and magic. We can’t recommend them enough!

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience working with Randy and the entire Woodwinds team for our wedding. From the very beginning, they made the process simple and stress-free, helping with everything from planning and coordinating to catering and setup. We had an offsite wedding, and they handled every detail with professionalism and care, making sure the day ran perfectly.

The food was incredible! We received so many compliments from our guests about both the meal and the service. When we booked our wedding at Kalmia Gardens at Gastler Farm last fall, Ken from Woodwinds reached out immediately and answered all of my questions regarding the contract details and menu modifications. Ken introduced me to Randy from Woodwinds early on in the planning process. Randy was very helpful throughout the planning process, responding to emails as promptly as he could, and jumping on several calls with me to answer any questions I had.

Since we were working with Kalmia as the venue and Woodwinds as the caterer there were 2 seperate project portals which made things a little challenging to keep track of communications, but everything in the portals also went through email so we managed.

We wanted to try the food before the wedding and Randy told us about several events at Woodwinds in Branford that would feature some of the apps and entrees we wanted to have at our wedding. The timing of those events never quite worked out for us. About a month before the wedding Randy told us about an at home tasting menu option so we went with that. I am not sure if the at home tasting menu was always an option or if it was a new offering later in our planning process, but it was the only opportunity we would have to try the food before the big day. The at home tasting allowed us to pick 2 salads, 2 pastas, and 2 entrees to try. We paid an additional fee to taste all 4 of the entrees options we would have (chicken, fish, beef, veggie). Everything was delicious so that made us very happy!

The Monday before the wedding we did a drop off meeting with Randy at Kalmia Gardens and he went through all the details for the ceremony and reception setup. The day before the wedding I met with Randy and Michael from Woodwinds for a ceremony rehersal. This was the first time we met Michael, but he was just as nice and helpful as Randy had been. Having that rehearsal calmed our nerves and they assured us that they would walk the wedding party through the process again the next day.

On the day of the wedding Michael was the Maitre D. I was sad not to see Randy that day since I worked with him during the whole planning process, but either way Michael was awesome! He communicated with me and my MOH throughout the day and helped everything to go smoothly.

As the bride I didn't get to eat as much of the cocktail hour food as I wanted, but the groom and all the guests said it was great! I did get to eat during the reception though and everything was delicious. We had cavatelli with Sunday sauce as the pasta course and our guests were raving about how unique and tasty that was. We had a small 6 inch wedding cake including in our package which was cut privately for pictures. I thought the cake it would be cut up and served to guests but it wasn't. Some guests wanted cake, but we had a dessert food truck so that satisfied their sweet tooth for the night.

Overall, I had a great experience with Woodwinds during the planning process. I would recommend the food and staff at Woodwinds to anyone starting their wedding planning process. 5 stars!

We utilized the Woodwinds to cater our wedding. It was easily our biggest expense for the small-mid size wedding we were planning, but 1000% worth it. We didn't have to think about anything day-of. Coordinating with Randall before the event was straightforward and simple, and the team that arrived on the day was incredible. Special shout out to Jackie, my "brides bestie" for being just the sweetest and most helpful.

Also- they were super flexible and able to modify their standard menu to fit within our budget. A bunch of angels over there at Woodwinds - definitely worth reaching out for a quote.

Think of it like this: the amount you're spending above like a food truck or something -- you are gaining that back in time and stress-reduction (which are going to feel a lot more valuable in the last few weeks of wedding planning, I promise!)

We had an incredible wedding and it was because we booked with Woodwinds. We booked on of the offsite venues they work with and the package deal was so incredible and reasonably priced compared to everything that is out there. From start to booking with Ken, to working with Randy in the planning phase to day of with Sergio and our bridal attendant Jackie who made sure our day went as smoothly as possible. Every one of them were so professional, friendly, helpful and attentive. Our wedding ran smoothly and was beautiful.

We hired a wonderful team of catering staff to assist with our backyard wedding earlier this month. The entire day was very DIY and our original ask was for help with passed apps, assisting with our food truck dinner service, and space cleanup. I can honestly say I was blown away with how our team went absolutely above and beyond what we had even hoped for. There were a few things that I (the bride) just ran out of time for before quite literally walking down the aisle and our Woodwinds team jumped right in to help, such as putting together my grazing table. They helped keep our guests fed, hydrated and happy all night and did a great job with turning over cocktail hour, dinner, and eventually dessert. They brought late night snacks, too, which were a big hit! I was so busy having fun and the night felt flawless, though I'm sure that I missed so many important things that our team helped with behind the scenes. Thank you, Woodwinds!!

Let me start by saying the staff was above and beyond what we ever imagined!! Randy was always there to guide, help, and offer any assistance to the wedding party and guests. Christine, who was assigned to the bride, was by her side at all times but also knew when to stay in the background; she was even on her knees taking a stain out of the brides dress. We had 2 wheelchair guests and there was ALWAYS someone there to help them. The whole staff was amazing!! They setup everything exactly as directed, and cleaned up everything and stored it exactly how it was given to the. The staff, food, setup, cleanup was 100%. Thank you
