About

Our beautiful Craftsman Clubhouse is registered as a historic building with the City of Los Angeles. The purchase of the land and the construction of the building was funded by club members and dedicated in 1914. After more than 90 years, it retains its charm and continues to provide a welcome environment.

The Clubhouse is available for weddings, receptions, birthday parties, meetings, lectures and concerts. Our garden area is available for wedding ceremonies. All music is to be performed in the building, not in the garden area. Friday and Saturday events are to cease music by 11:00 PM and the event must end by 12:00 M (midnight). Sunday events are to cease music by 10:00 PM and the event must end by 11:00 PM. All events of any kind are for eight hour windows, during the weekends. Example: 4:00 PM-12:00 AM.

Our capacity for sit down dinner events is maximum 160 people. We provide white folding chairs and eight foot long banquet tables for the 160 guests. We require a deposit and a certificate of insurance naming us as additionally insured for all rentals.

It meant so much to us to celebrate our wedding at a historically significant and beautiful venue only paces from the home we share in Eagle Rock. This club is a hidden gem, right on Colorado Blvd.

Roe was easy to coordinate with and was very clear about club policies and rules, making it easy to organize our wedding here. The on-site manager, Daniel, is available to hire for extra set-up, clean-up and lighting work, which is a nice and convenient option for those who are DIYing their event, as we did. It may also be one of the best deals for wedding venues in all of Los Angeles! It also comes with lots of tables and chairs, which can save you hundreds in rental costs. And there are no "preferred vendors" that you have to work with - everything is up to you!

The club itself is not climate controlled, so think carefully about seasons before you book! We got married in late October and the cool breeze at night was perfect for cooling the place down for nighttime dancing.

Our guests loved the historic and romantic feeling of this space and we feel very lucky to have had our wedding here. Thank you!

This was such a surprise to find. If you have a low budget, this place is perfect because you are allowed to bring in your own vendors. Plus, they offer you tables and plastic chairs. Maybe the chairs are not the fanciest, but it can save you almost $400 from rentals! They are very responsive and can be a bit strict but because this is a historic site so they are very adamant about keeping the location beautiful. It was hot during our September wedding but the fact that there is a lawn and large 'living room' like area, allowed my guests to move around comfortably. Everybody enjoyed the homey ambiance and it was perfect for my wedding. We wanted something like a back-yard wedding and this provided that. We had our ceremony in the yard. They have three small bathrooms but no one complained about anything. I'm so lucky to have found this place.

A hidden gem in Los Angeles, this quaint old women's club served as our wedding site (on the lawn) and reception venue. Perfect for a lower budget wedding, embrace the beauty of this old building and have a rustic or vintage wedding. That's what we did ( a little of both). Great kitchen and fridge available. You bring your own caterers. This is a non profit run by volunteers, so be respectful of that. This place will not work for a bridezilla, but for someone who respects the history of this place. New caretaker as of May 2012 is awesome.

This was the IDEAL venue for our wedding! First, it was just the right size. The max number of guests is 160. We ended up with about 130, although at one point we thought we would max out. Our guests comfortably fit in the space, and there was still ample room for dancing. The cost is also VERY reasonable! Much much less than any other venue we looked at. Second, the space itself is simply beautiful! It's an old craftsman style house that was built in 1914. I think it has even been declared a historic site. The suffragettes of that era built the house, and we loved that it was steeped in history. There is a gorgeous lawn in the back where we got married. We set up a chuppah there, and I made a burlap aisle runner. The venue does have plastic chairs that you can use for free, but we rented nicer white wooden ones. The space was glowing at 4:30 in the afternoon. it was just beautiful. After the ceremony we had a cocktail hour, and then everyone moved inside for the dinner and reception. The venue provided us with the tables, which was nice so that we didn't have to rent them. They are long 8 ft. banquet style tables. (If you want round tables, you have to rent.) We served our guests family style, which worked very well. This is definitely a no bells or whistles kind of place. Other than the long tables, you basically have to bring everything in yourself. It's like a blank canvas that you can paint whatever you want on, which is what we liked. But couples that prefer a venue that is all inclusive should look elsewhere. For us, it was perfect. The price was in our budget, and we were able to make it "our own" with lighting, decorations, flowers, a chuppah, etc. But again, we had to do all of that ourselves and through additional vendors. It's the perfect place for brides and couples who desire that blank canvas on which to create their special day.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
