Wilkens made my life SO much easier. The only thing I would go back and change...is to have them do the entire wedding! They did as little or as much as we wanted them to do. They did our flowers, ceremony decor, and reception decor. When I walked into the reception I was blown away. They really captured the theme I was going for and nailed it. They set up and take down which was so nice to not have to worry about anything and actually enjoy our wedding weekend. I would hire them a thousand times over again. We had our dream wedding with their amazing help!

Patti went above and beyond to make my day special and absolutely beautiful. For a great price my reception looked like a magazine shoot. I lived out of town from where my reception was and she handled every thing. Couldn't ask for better service!

Wilkens Catering & Events really outdid themselves at my son's rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception. We are from out of town and I was thrilled to find a high quality, professional caterer and event planner such as Patti and her staff. I was relieved to find someone so talented to cater and decorate for the rehearsal dinner since I was communicating long distance. Patti and her staff were so delightful to deal with. She made everything flow seamlessly. All three venues underwent the most magical of transformations. The food options, lighting, tables, garden area were incredible. Patti and her staff are absolutely amazing at their craft. The good people of Liberal, Kansas are very fortunate to have this business in their midst. Patti took care of everything in the most efficient manner so there were no worries or concerns for me. We were able to enjoy all our events and visit with our guests knowing everything was in very capable hands. I highly recommend Wilkens Catering & Events for each and every occasion - truly delightful.

Patti did an excellent job!! She is very creative and knew exactly what I wanted from just a couple of pictures I showed her. The wedding turned out amazing and just how I dreamt it!! She was so easy to work with, responsible and reliable. On the day of the wedding she made sure we were taken care of and everything flowed smoothly. My wedding day was stress free thanks to her!! Definitely recommend her for your wedding.

excellent service from start to end! I can say my wedding experience was STRESS FREE and not alot of brides can say that. She is very easy to keep communication with and that in itself is very important. Patti listen to all my "wants" and gave us the wedding of our dreams. She as well as her staff worked very hard to make sure everything went smoothly and everything looked more than perfect. I wuld highly recommend her company for any of your event needs you wont regeret it !

Patti does amazing work!! She is very creative and has a great selection. She will definitely make your wedding unique to you! Her wedding receptions and flowers are absolutely gorgeous. She is not a "one size fits all" type of wedding planner. She will really listen to your style and tastes and form a gorgeous wedding or event based on what YOU want! She is great!! Also, the food she provides if you choose to have her cater is delicious! Choose Wilkens Catering & Events and you won't be disappointed!

I work around law enforcement and have had more than 50+ complaints of fraud, extortion, and just plain terrible treatment from this company. These complaints with a contract are a civil matter and will lead nowhere in criminal court. You will have to sue them to get your money back when they, 1) stop answering your phone calls after getting the "non refundable deposit" 2) do not supply you with anything that you agreed upon or supply you with everything wrong. 3) have even had complaints that they just did not show up with anything for the event.

I don't even know where to get started with Wilkens. I had them decorate and cater my wedding June 18th, 2022 at Moonlight Harvest in Holcomb, KS. When I first set up to use them I was the one reaching out to them to set up appointments before the wedding to go over what I wanted. I drove an hour twice to Liberal to meet with them and they canceled about five minutes after I got there. I couldn't get mad because they make you pay the full deposit up front so I just let it go. We finally got things figured out and when it came to the wedding day they basically ruined the entire thing. Patty, the head lady insisted during one of my meetings with them that I needed to have the silver chairs because silver is summer and gold in winter which it didn't matter to me one way or the other. Patty ended up not even coming to my wedding because they double booked and she was at another wedding, so she sent over her assistant which she was just awful. The day before my wedding apparently they couldn't get the silver chairs and made me have the gold ones. I paid quite a bit of money for them to mess this up especially when they insisted on the freaking silver chairs but whatever. Then they came out to the venue and set everything up the Friday before the wedding the way they thought it would look good and never cared to ask I don't know the BRIDES opinion. They did everything half assed and did not do half of the things I paid for on my contract. I paid for a chandelier and that wasn't put up. They have ZERO communication skills. They asked me who they should go to during the wedding if something went wrong which I introduced them to my maid of honor and bridesmaid to go to. The entire wedding the head lady (Patty's assistant) continued to come over to me and tell me about things that needed to be fixed which is absolutely ridiculous. My husband eventually just yelled at her and told her to figure it out because we paid again WAY to much for them to be bitching to us. The venue where I had my wedding had a pond which I got married in front of. The assistant lady who was running things flooded the pond and when we walked down the aisle everyone was standing in about 2-3 inches of water and they said nothing. This ruined my wedding shoes and the bottom of my wedding dress. (It turned the bottom of my white dress brown.) They used the venues arch which I wanted a circle one instead of a square one and they did not care one bit if I was happy. They had John Ross cater when I specifically paid for Wilkens to cater the food. Luckily the food was great. They did not tell anyone after the ceremony to go eat which we went over in one of the meetings before the freaking wedding. It was supposed to be the guest goes to eat while the family and bridal party take pictures. (Again they recommended this option during our meeting and did not follow through) As they were setting up the wedding they put everything where ever they wanted it and I did not like the set up one bit but by the time I showed up at MY OWN WEDDING it was too late to do anything. Patty's assistant (the lady in charge) was ridiculously rude to everyone including me the entire wedding. They did not have enough bouquets for the junior bridesmaids which again we talked about at the previous meetings. The bouquets were also falling apart the entire wedding.
Honestly, if you want to have a stressed out wedding and waste a ton of money on things you could do your self don't use them. Again I paid WAY too much for the low quality work they did along with the rude attitude. The best thing they did was pick up on the Sunday after the wedding and leave. I will NEVER recommend using Wilkens on your special day. And I never got a refund on any of the money I gave them for the shit work they did. I am beyond disappointed with the quality of service and communication. They scammed me and ruined my wedding day.

I don’t even know where to begin. The communication was awful, the set up was slow & not complete, & the over all respect was not there by Patti & some of her team members. There were multiple items that were left out of the wedding due to Pattis poor time management. She made some big game plan calls without even discussion it with the bride or family. She had no regard for any of the reception timeline & not only made the bride & groom miss out on big wedding things like first dance, cake cutting, & the sparkler exit but wasted the time of the photographer. Her food was DISGUSTING and on top of the food not being good she ran out of plates, fork/ spoons & many food items. She left people waiting for 45 min before be able to serve bread & salad to the remaining guest that never received food in the first place. Wedding are a once in a lifetime thing & should be treated like so. Patti had no remorse for the leaving impression she left on the bride, groom, family members & wedding guests. Please take this as your sign to book somewhere else!! Your time, money & event is way to important to waste on someone who isn’t going to deliver.
