Where to begin…

When we decided to get married abroad in Spain, one of our biggest concerns was how on earth we were going to plan a wedding from the UK when we didn’t speak the language, didn’t know the local vendors, had only visited the venue twice, and had never planned a wedding or large event before! The list goes on.

Having Valerie recommended to us and going ahead with her as our planner was honestly one of the best decisions we made. From our very first call, we could tell she genuinely had our best interests at heart. She was incredibly thorough, experienced and passionate about making sure our wedding was everything we dreamed of, with every little detail considered to ensure everything ran smoothly and the stress was kept to an absolute minimum.

Although wedding planning is a big undertaking, Valerie made the whole process so much more enjoyable and fun. Knowing we had someone with so much experience to guide us, bounce ideas off and make sure we weren’t overlooking anything made us feel ten times more relaxed. She was there for us every step of the way, helping us source and choose our photographers, florist, caterers, makeup artist and so many other wonderful suppliers. Her recommendations were always fantastic, and we felt completely confident putting our trust in her rather than navigating everything ourselves in a country where we didn’t know the industry or what to expect.

On the wedding day itself, Valerie was there from the early hours while we were getting ready, quietly making sure everything was taken care of and creating the calmest possible atmosphere. Our wedding was quite large, so she ensured she had a big enough team to look after everything and everyone. This extended to our pool party the following day, where she organised a dedicated team to make sure that ran just as smoothly. It’s something we hadn’t even fully appreciated would be necessary, but it made such a difference to being able to relax, enjoy ourselves and spend time with our guests without having to think about a single thing.

Valerie quite literally thought of everything. Whenever something needed figuring out, she always seemed to have a solution, and we had complete confidence that if anything unexpected happened, it would be handled before we even knew about it. No question was ever too big or too small, and we never felt like we were asking too much of her.

Valerie and her team were worth every single penny. If you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, especially if you’re planning a wedding abroad, please don’t hesitate. It can be easy to underestimate just how much of a difference having the right person by your side makes, but it genuinely elevated our entire experience tenfold. We were able to be fully present, enjoy every moment and make the most incredible memories, knowing everything was in safe hands.

We honestly don’t know how we would have managed without her. We’ve also had so many lovely compliments from our guests about the wedding and how smoothly everything ran.

Valerie was wonderful from start to finish. She was involved from the very beginning and guided us through choosing every single vendor. Her recommendations were superb, and every vendor went above and beyond to make our day special, including Diablo Diablo (florals) and Cal Blay (catering).

Planning a wedding in Spain meant there was a lot we didn’t know, and Valerie helped us navigate all of it. In January, we flew to Spain for our tasting and site visit at Masia Cabellut, and getting that time in person with Valerie made all the difference. By the time I flew back in May 2026 for the wedding, I didn’t have a single worry. She also negotiated our menu on our behalf and secured customizations that I never could have asked for on my own.

Valerie was completely invaluable in making our wedding the weekend of our dreams. My wife and I managed comms with our suppliers so Valerie offered a tiered service where she would support predominantly in the 6 weeks prior and completely oversee the big day with her team on the ground, which worked perfectly. Despite Val’s responsibilities kicking in later in the process, we had regular check-ins and she stayed on top of all updates to our plans. She was the perfect consultant, knowing Sitges inside and out and helping us with suggestions and contacts for a day before welcome drinks and day after party. We also benefitted from her superior experience when it came to wedding flow, how guests would be feeling at different points, and how to make everything make sense on the day.

We had the wedding of our dreams, and at no point felt even a smidge of pressure or worry that we didn’t have a plan B, or being rushed. Everything was designed to fit, and it was then managed superbly - even a calmly suggested change to push our best men speech to after dessert once Val saw how energetic it was, and didn’t want people to sit back down for dessert and lose momentum. All handled and communicated perfectly.

We would highly recommend Val to everyone, but especially to those planning destination weddings in Sitges, because Val's local knowledge and vendor connections were truly invaluable throughout the planning process since we weren't very familiar with the area. We had our wedding in October 2025, but we started working with Val in November 2023 and she was such a calming presence and a huge help throughout the 2 years of planning, making it less stressful and more fun all around. We knew we could trust and rely on her to be on top of things and have everything handled.

She is one of the kindest and most caring people that we've had the pleasure of meeting and she makes you feel so comfortable and supported from day one of planning through until even after the wedding day is over! We felt like she really got to know us and was so great at handling the vendor coordination, and even standing up for us to some of our more difficult family members when they tried to change / add things to the decor and timeline on the day of. Many of our friends and family also noticed how wonderful she was and raved about her organization and clear experience in running not just the wedding day, but all of the events throughout the wedding week too.

We even had a last minute need to book buses for a winery tour day during our stay at Almiral de la Font in the days after the wedding, and even while she was out on a family trip to London, she was so kind to fully arrange the transport for us in just a few hours, making things so smooth and easy for us and all of our guests. She just goes above and beyond in all aspects!!
